Don't be afraid to put them on for the episode. Thank you so much, man. This is, I appreciate that Dillon. Thank you so much for the gift. I appreciate you. But as always, we're going to be reading the word of God today. We're going to be here in Luke chapter 12. It's so funny to listen to his little bell jingle as he walks back to his, his little workshop making some gifts for me. That's what he does. All right, let's go. Luke chapter 12. In the meantime, when so many thousands of people had gathered together, they were trembling on one another and he began to say to his disciples first, beware of the leaven of Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. Whoa. Nothing is covered up that will not be revealed or hidden that will not be known. Therefore, whatever you have said in the dark shall be heard in the light and what you have whispered in private rooms shall be proclaimed on the house top. So here's what leaven is. Leaven, what leaven does in bread, it is spread, what leaven does inside of bread is it spreads, swells and sours. Okay. So whenever you have hypocrisy in your life, if you surround yourself with people who are hypocrites, prideful rule followers who praise God with their mouth, but their actions are far from him, that is going to spread and swell and sour your relationship with Jesus and you're going to be a reflection of who you surround yourself with. That's that quote. Show me the five closest people around you and I'll show you your future. You know, in the same way, be careful of the hypocrisy of the Pharisees and Jesus says, I tell you, my friends, do not fear those who kill the body. And after that have nothing more than they can do, but I will warn you whom to fear. Fear him who after he has killed as the authority to cast you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him are not five sparrows sold for two pennies and now one of them is forgotten before God. Why even the hairs of your head are all numbered fear not. You are more valuable than many sparrows. He says, look, don't feel the one that can kill with the body fear, the one who can kill the body and the soul. Only God can do that. And nowadays we live in so much fear of the people's opinions. We live in so much fear of people's opinions. What this person's going to think about me. What's going to happen when I talk about Jesus? Am I going to lose my job? Am I going to get fired? And we literally live in a Western America nowadays where a man has been shot and killed for preaching truth. There's nowhere to hide. You know what he'd say? Don't fear someone who can kill the body. Every human being you see is eternal, but fear the one who can cast you into hell. That is God's fear the Lord. As Psalm 25 verse 14 says, the fear the Lord is the beginning to wisdom and knowledge. And I tell you, everyone who acknowledges me before man, the Son of Man also will acknowledge before the angels of God. But the one who denies me before man will be denied before the angels of God. And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven. But the one who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven. What is the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit? The blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is the unforgivable sin in Scripture. And there's some mysteries on what this naturally means. So here's my personal interpretation through research and commentaries of what the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is. The blasphemy of the Holy Spirit, according to my understanding, limited understanding is the ongoing denial in this lifetime of the Holy Spirit tugging on your heart, trying to pull you to Jesus. So in this lifetime, the Holy Spirit trying to reveal himself and tug on your heart and you ongoingly not responding so that when you get to heaven, you have blasphemed the Holy Spirit in this lifetime by not putting faith in and responding to the obedient call of the Holy Spirit on your life. So because you do that, you have blasphemed the Holy Spirit when you get to heaven, you can't be forgiven because then it's too late. That's what my understanding is. Verse 11, And when they bring you before the synagogues and the rulers and the authorities, do not be anxious about how you should defend yourself or what you should say for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour. What does Sammy, we see that when Jesus is standing before the Roman rulers after he's been handed over to them, he rarely speaks, if not any. And the few times he speaks, it was led by the Holy Spirit. The parable of the rich fool, someone in the crowd said to him, teacher, tell my brother to divide his inheritance with me. But he said, man, who made me a judge or an arbitrator over you? Take care and be on your guard against all covenants for one's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions. And he said a parable, he said, the land of a rich man produced plentifully and he thought to himself, what shall I do? For I have nowhere to store my crops. See, he had a low motive for justice this man. He just wanted money. And this rich man in the parable, he says rich man produced plentiful and he thought to himself, what shall I do? I have nowhere to store my crops. And he said, I will do this. I will tear down my barns and build larger ones. And there I will store all my grain and my goods. And I will say to my soul, soul, you have ample goods laid up for many years. Relax, eat, drink and be merry. But God said to him, fool, this night your soul is required of you and the things you have prepared, whose will they be? So is the one who lays up treasure for himself and is not rich towards God. You and I owe our lives, livelihood, wealth and soul to God. That's what we owe him. Give your life to somebody who wants it. And then he says, do not be anxious about anything. Do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or about your body, what you will put on for his life more than food and body more than clothing. And he says, look at the ravens of the field and the lilies of the field. The ravens don't have to work for their food and God feeds them. How much more of value are you than they? And then if God closed the lilies at beauty, how much more value are you than they? You see, the lilies of the field and the birds of the air God cares about. And they're not even made in his image, but you are of the utmost value that even the animals don't have to God. And that's because you have the imprint of God on your life. How much more will God take care of you? And he says in verse 2, fear not, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom. Did you know that God finds joy? God finds joy in you. God finds joy in giving a son to you. Sell your possessions and give to the needy. Provide yourselves with money bags that do not grow old. For the treasure in the heavens that does not fail where there where no thief approaches and no moth destroys for where your treasure is. There will your heart be also your earthly riches. Stay above ground. They don't go to the grave with you. But what you do in this lifetime, you can honor God and store heavenly treasures because that is where your treasures are. I love this thing. He says in verse 35, stay dressed for action and keep your lamps burning and be like men who are waiting for their master to come home from the wedding feast. So that they may open the door to him at once when he comes. Just be awake and ready. And he says in verse 4, you also must be ready for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect. You see, we live in today's society with so much passivity and so much hope for tomorrow. Charlie Kirk went to bed the night before he died thinking that tomorrow was going to be a normal day. You know, so many of us go to bed at night thinking that it's going to be a normal day. And we're not even promised tomorrow. We have to live a life that is glorifying to God, honoring and aware and sharp. And then he says in verse 42, who then is this is the faithful and wise manager of whom his master will set over his household. Blessed is the servant whom his master will find doing so when he comes. Truly I say to you, you will set him over all the possessions. And he says, but if that servant says to himself, my master is delayed in coming. Begins to beat the male and female servants into eating and drinking and get drunk. The master of the servant will come on a day when he does not expect him at an hour he does not know. And will cut him into pieces and put him with the unfaithful. Now imagine this, imagine on your wedding day you're the groom standing at the edge of the walkway at the altar. And you're waiting to see your bride and as the door is open to see your bride. Your bride is kissing another man with a wine glass or a beer in her other hand getting drunk. And she looks and frightened. Oh, now I'm ready. Now that the doors have opened, I'm ready. The groom would not want to stand up there anymore. I would assume he'd walk away. He wouldn't commit to that. Someone who wasn't ready and aware at all times in the same way. You and I have no idea when Christ is going to return, but our responsibility is to dive deep into intimacy with God and always stay prepared. Always be awake. That's the parable of the ten virgins. That's what that is. And then Jesus says this in verse 49, I came to cast fire on the earth and would that, and would that it were already kindled. I have a baptism to be baptized with and how great is my distress until it is accomplished. So do you think that I have come to give peace on the earth? No, I tell you, but rather division. From now on in one house there will be five divided, three against two and two against three. They will be divided. Father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother and mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law saying, I have not come to bring peace but assort the truth of God. We'll ruffle people's feathers and split it right down the middle, all in or all out. But brother and sister against each other, mother and father against each other, father and son against each other, mother and son or daughter against each other. The truth ruffles people's feathers. Then he also said this to the crowd. He says, when you see a cloud rising in the west, you say it once a shower is coming and so it happens. And when you see the south and the wind blowing, you say there will be a scorching heat. It's like the way you interpret the weather of the day to determine when a storm is coming or when the heat is coming. He says, you know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and the sky, but why do you not know how to interpret the present time? He's saying, you're saying that but you're looking at the sun and man and you don't do anything about your life. And why do you judge yourselves? What is right? As you go with your accuser before the magistrate, make an effort to settle with him on the way. Let's see, drag you to the judge and the judge hand you over and the officer and the officer put you in prison. I tell you, you will never get out until you have paid every last penny. Just go pay your debtors what you owe them. Guys, I pray that Luke chapter 12 is an encouragement to you and we'll see you guys tomorrow. Luke chapter 13. Thank you guys so much for watching.
