Now, Holmeyer's catalog posted this. One thing that really frustrates me is when Tesla self-driving exits the carpool lane or express lane and then gets stuck in traffic. As I see everyone else whizzing by in the far left lane, I get extremely annoyed knowing I should be there, too. Respect the settings, please. So what he's talking about is essentially you can set settings to say, hey, I want to drive in the carpool lane. In many states, if you drive an electric car, even if you are the only person in that car, you can be in the carpool lane. Right. And Elon responded, the car will start to remember your specific interventions and match each person's individual preferences. So for people who don't regularly drive with FSD, I get why this might be confusing. The car will start to remember your specific interventions and match your preferences So let give some examples of what this could mean We don know exactly but I think he might mean something like this You on your commute to and from work every day and whenever FSD tries to pass let's say a semi-truck on the right, you intervene, if you're like me, because you don't like passing semi-trucks on the right. It's not illegal to do here in the US, but you just don't like it. From what Elon is saying, I think the car will learn your preferences and then not do it anymore. Or let's say that when you're leaving your grocery store's parking lot, FSD always tries to take you on some weird journey behind all the stores past all the garbage dumpsters. You intervene a few times to go out another parking lot exit. Hopefully soon, your car will now remember that. This is just another feature that should widen the gap between Tesla's FSD and other autonomous driving systems. Because let's be honest, each update comes out and I kind of think this will be the one where it's just all knowing. And of course, it's not all knowing, but it does have all that data of all those times that you intervene. Right now, that's just sent to Tesla so that they can train. But what if the car retained some of that memory so that it learned what you like? Well, and I know that they've been training based on interventions and stuff like that. But what if it actually had the context of like, my driver doesn't like it when I drive behind all the grocery stores? If it can kind of memorize that context, then it can take the average of how everyone intervenes and why and hopefully train the model to make it better for those specific use cases. Now, they're not all going to be, you know, sometimes it's going to be like this one specific road, there's a very specific way that you're supposed to turn. Okay. Maybe the model wouldn't learn that and your car would have to know it. It's only a model, but it would be geographically mapped as well. So there is a possibility that you could kind of have different regions that it would know specific turns of like, oh, there's a bridge and you're supposed to take one at a time on the bridge. It could figure out all of this different stuff. And we've barely even begun to thought about a lot of this different stuff, mainly because we've been so focused on just trying to get the model to where it is today. Would you have like a USB thumb drive that you put into the car and that's its car's memory? No. Well, it has memory already stored. So it could be that you drive, you know, past a certain place and then it would start to know all of that area based on kind of how the fleet knows the world. But of course, you probably know by now that launch was aborted at the one second mark. And Elon explained some of the engines didn't start triggering an automatic launch abort. Now offloading propellant. Next launch attempt, hopefully in a few days. And he said to be confident of a good flight, two Raptors will be removed and replaced. Most probable launch time is early next week. We have gotten confirmation now. Starship Flight 13 is now targeting tomorrow, Monday, July 20th at 545 p.m. Central Time. So that we don't jinx it again, maybe we shouldn't make our video thumbnail about the launch. Until after it's done. Yes. Look, a lot of people are throwing a lot of shade at SpaceX. We're going to talk about this on Investor Club today. The stock even dropped. If you can abort a launch and not hurt anything at the last second, that's what a countdown is for to check all your systems. And even at the last second, if something's not working, like a couple engines, you abort and you do it again. So that's what the countdown is for. It's not just for five or it's not just to have a cool sound. It's that's why we have the even to the last second. It worked. That's amazing because they started some of the engines and then they were able to stop. Yep. Nothing. Nothing blew up. They're able to launch it again on Monday. Right. I mean, this happens at the airport all the time. Have you noticed sometimes you get onto the runway and then, you know, you have to get off the runway because there's something wrong with the plane.
