Summary

The hosts analyze Summer House Season 10 Episode 2, focusing on the escalating tension between Kyle and Amanda over his drinking, DJing career, and emotional unavailability. New cast members are introduced, and Sierra emerges as a confidante to Amanda while the group navigates relationship dynamics at the Hamptons house.

Insights
  • Kyle's stress from Loverboy financial pressures ($500K loan, no salary since October) is driving his excessive drinking and DJ career, which Amanda perceives as him choosing partying over their relationship
  • Amanda's independence and confidence (enabled by Sierra's support) is shifting power dynamics in the relationship, causing Kyle to feel loss of control
  • Reality TV editing and constant camera presence creates performative relationship moments rather than genuine conflict resolution between Kyle and Amanda
  • Sierra's vulnerability about setting boundaries while maintaining relationships signals character growth and positions her as the emotional anchor of the season
  • The exclusion of Paige from this summer has created more openness among female cast members and shifted group dynamics positively

We had Charlie watching. It was exciting. The whole gang was here and they were given commentary, especially Charlie. He had a lot to say. He had a lot to say about what these crazy kids are doing in the summer house. And he was team Amanda on this skinny dipping thing. But he also overall told us he understood Kyle. He was like, look, like Amanda, it has every right to be upset but i can see the pressure that kyle is facing and how he gets to the point he gets to he shares your psychology major right oh right where it's a full it's a family affair i mean i can hear him right now he's gabbing with michael back there about the show we just finished and he's like i don't think i told them everything you hear him two judgy boys yes two judgy girls in the dining room two judgy boys in the back room Okay, so overall, what were you feeling in general about the second episode of the show? I cannot believe how much Kyle and Amanda we are getting. I didn't think it was going to be like this. I thought maybe the city was going to be more like that. But wow. And I was very shocked that Lindsay didn't come again this weekend. It was her weekend. I know I was very surprised by that but okay so 4th of July she probably wanted to spend with Gemma and then maybe they decided they have their weekends on weekends off so we had said last week we definitely thought that that scene with the fan interaction and Kyle sleeping over was going to be a camera pickup and we got an episode two shocked I assuming that we have the in the cities already been dotted signed everything because I also don't think that Lindsay Lindsay has such an air about her that she's not worried like remember last year Last season, she was really nervous about what her future looked like. And even when Danielle had said to her, this can't go on forever. She's like, yes, it could. Yes, it could. Because she was worried. And she's not worried right now. No, you're so right. She's calm. She's cool. Mommy era. And it feels very natural the way that she's getting sprinkled in to gossip with the girls, go out and have dinner, lunch. And she's like, I'll come the following weekend. So it feels good. You know I hate to be lied to by the camera. I know you do. And so it's also setting everything up. We're getting a Wednesday day date with the girls. We're getting Carl and Kyle on a Thursday. It really is just the inevitable. And we've always been asking for this. We want scenes in the city. We want scenes in the Hamptons. But let's back up to the beginning of the episode, because as you mentioned earlier, we're skinny dipping still. And we're upset. And some of us are upset. And some of us did a talking head asking about the situation and couldn't give an answer. Okay, Kyle. I'm just sick of this. I'm sick of this. We need to start telling the amount that he talks to himself on camera just multiple times an episode. Like he there is no actual inner monologue. It's all outer. Do you talk to yourself out loud? No, I do. OK, so there are times where I'm like, did I say a word out today? Like I have to say something to make sure my voice still works. Have you ever had that? No, because you talk out loud. Yeah. Well, but now you talk to like I'll talk to my dog. Sure. But sometimes she's not there. Yeah, I feel like... And you talked to Charlie. No, I know, but I feel like I talked to myself. Yeah. And what are you saying? I'm sick of this. God damn it. It's more, yeah, frustration. Okay, so it's like when you get upset. God, no one took out the garbage or... Yeah, yeah, yeah. God damn it, the dishwasher's full again. So it is a little Kyle. That's what I'm hearing from you. I guess I'm a Kyle. Well, then they do all these flashback scenes. We always skinny dip together. Amanda being like, we were just skinny dipping in Italy with Ben here. Like the fact that this is what set him off is crazy. And then he has to admit in his confessional, it feels like in the confessional they're already broken up. When he's wearing that black and white shirt. And he's like, so yeah, nudity is kind of a tradition. I don't really have a leg to stand on. But he's just like, I'm just feeling ignored the entire party. I just, it wasn't feeling it. And like everyone can see everything. It just, it just felt weird. It was a control thing for him. He knows he's losing Amanda and seeing her be more independent and more fun is like losing control on his relationship. I don't think a lot of people like to lose control, but Kyle especially, like control is such a big deal. And so seeing the fact that it's like, uh-oh, is she really living this independent life that she doesn't need me anymore? And now I don't know what to do with this relationship. I mean, she literally says, like, he wants me to be more fun, but he doesn't like it when I'm having fun. So which is it? Which is it? She can't win. She says it. I can't win. She is just so sick of him. She has the power. Like we said, she has the upper hand, it feels. And he sees her slipping away. Yeah. I think that the main thing is, is that Kyle is like, I think we're on the verge, even though he's telling himself they're not. we'll get there with the Carlson conversation. But in his mind, he's like, this is not good. Like we are in a very bad place. Jesse and Wes are talking about it after because somehow they're all going out tonight. How? I look at Courtney and go, this is the same day? They're still going to go out tonight? They've been going since 10 a.m. I'm exhausted for them. They flash and the party's ending at 8 16 p.m. Yeah. And we're all still getting ready. What? No, thank you. But Jesse and Wes are like, I have never seen Kyle that mad. This is crazy. But they're also probably saying another summer of this because it's not the first time it's happened. And then they all start getting ready. Like they're all going to go out. And I love this because I want to have, and I feel like Wes or even Kyle, the DJ Kyle could do it. What is the playlist they're listening to as a house when they're getting ready? Because Bailey mentions like, I told you guys my songs would like get everybody going and West is vibing. The girls are dancing. Like, what are we listening to? I think they're listening to jazz music that's instrumental because. No, this blocked out. Jazz music is like royalty free. They're listening to our theme song. Wes mentioned that on the boat yesterday. What did he say? He said he said to me, I'm so glad we can play real music because usually at these parties we can't because of the film meet he said that to me yesterday that's the parties maybe not the getting ready that's interesting about the parties though that's what he said like i wasn't you were telling you were telling me yeah i'm just listening to what you're so that's why i'm thinking some smooth jazz okay but maybe i'm wrong it sounded like they were playing music that just they don't have the license to because we didn't hear it got it That's what I was thinking. But, you know, West also checks in on KJ. Obsessed with them together. I'm obsessed with KJ. West is a good guy. He's just the cutest to go. You know, he's like, I'm going to watch you like a hawk. And KJ's like, well, when you check in on me, it makes me feel better, too. I'm like, oh, my God, this bro man. And what did Shep say in our, you know, vulnerability is the new masculinity. That is true. And seeing them just be like good friends to each other is always, as you said, warming our hearts. Look, are we biased, too? I have eyes for West. And Jesse. And KJ. And Carl. I know. So if you're a man on this cast, Mary's... Michael, close the door. Charlie's screaming. He said, go for it, Mom. I heard him. Okay, then where they also bring up Sierra. West was like, this was way chiller than last summer. I was so afraid of Sierra. It's good the weirdness is gone. And I just think it's going to get better. And it feels like that. I mean, as we said, they were at the Super Bowl together at BravoCon. They were really having fun together. Do you think they hook up this summer? At least a makeout. Okay. On or off camera? Off. Off. Will they admit they made out? It's going to be like sly interview style. I'll throw those questions back at you. Do you think they hook up this summer? i i feel like sierra is so strong and i can't really see her going back in okay even though she wants to okay so i'm gonna say no okay whatever i guess we'll find out yeah we'll have to keep watching they all go out to the southampton social club and there is a boys table and then there is a girls table with ben who is completely sunburned and the hair you weren't feeling it John C. Reilly. John C. Reilly and Ronald McDonald. Or Dean. Dean Darby. No. It just wasn't working for me. And maybe it was just the sunburn going with it. They all really got a sunburn. Yes. Bailey's back was very red. Ben's face was red. But he's playing the smart game. He's at the girls' table. That is very true. Bailey, I also love how she just puts it out there. She's not saying I'm into him, but she's like, I can't deny his eyes. He's so beautiful. I like her energy. Oh, Bailey. As I said, I think she's going to be I mean, she's an it girl, obviously. But she so we learn a little bit more about Ben, too. And he's saying, you know, I was brought up in a religious household and I don't really like the attention on me, even though I'm a model. And I was the bat. He didn't get engaged to someone. And this is my second reality TV show. I thought he had chosen someone, but I don't know. I didn't look at the details fully on Wikipedia, but maybe they didn't get engaged. Maybe they just left the show together. Yeah, I'm not sure. Yeah. And we won't do the research. No, that's too much for us. Shit is going down at the boys' table. Kyle's like, so guys, oh man, I've had just enough drinks and I'm going to rat Amanda out. My house is like a frat house I can even get a cleaning company I begged her mom to come help us And she smokes weed every night for the last two years And just passes out. And the cleaning thing I found startling. Paige, Sierra, and Amanda, they're all kind of... Messy? Disheveled girls? Mm. Okay. Bed bugs, if you will. I start to see just like nuance within these relationships. And obviously I'm like team Amanda in this because I think she's like put up with a lot. But then when you get a little bit more of Kyle and I think Kyle has always and for the most part, everybody on the show, but Kyle's always put it all out there. Yeah. And this situation magnifies your relationship because you have to talk about it. And they don't want to, though. And they don't. They swipe things under the rug. They don't confront each other during the week. He is going out and DJing. She is smoking weed. Not that there's anything wrong with smoking weed. I did find it funny, though, when West is like, so when do you ask? And Kyle basically says, never. Yeah. Just never a good sign when you stop sleeping together. But I'm also wondering, like, where's the stretch of truth for both of them? Because he says every day. Also, Amanda doesn't take, like, she doesn't seem like a smoker to me. She seems like an edibles girly. So that was also surprising to learn that she's a smoker. And I'm thinking, like, is it joints? Because, you know, they flash to an ashtray. And I'm like, who gave them the footage, Kyle? Like, the house is messy. Flash to the house. That's actually the joint thing is kind of surprising. Because we see used matches. So I guess it's joints. Yeah, I would think of vape or something. Yeah. Or dosapin. Yeah. Amanda's like, I'm going to go see what's going on with the boys table. And she walks up behind Kyle and he's like, oh, no, now I feel bad. And KJ's like, don't worry, man, we got your back. And all of them look at KJ like, what? And he's like, should I not have said that? I should have said that. I would be KJ. Like he was trying to be nice to Kyle in the moment and just say like, vent to us. This is what guys are for. We'll help you out. And then Amanda's like, what is going on? What the fuck? Like, if you don't tell me now, I'll just find out in a couple months. So you better say it now. And she was like, Kat got your tongue. You've got a lot to say to everyone else. And then Kyle's like, OK, I'll say it. I'm like, no, Kyle, stop. And he's like, you've been very disinterested in me and us. You haven't asked me a question in years. In years. Like, where does that even come from? What type of questions does he want her to ask him? I guess, how's your day? Okay. And then she's like, you over-exaggerate everything. And he's like, I want companionship and friendship, and I'm not getting that. She's like, that is so not true. Like, there is nothing more uncomfortable than everyone but me knowing how you feel right now. and then people are literally recording this and i kind of remember it because this is like the second weekend um this is week one we're in fourth of july weekend true okay we're week and one but when they flash over like sierra like when she goes back to sierra sierra's like just smile because everyone's recording and when they flash in the crowd it really does look like everyone's just watching a scene being recorded like there isn't that much privacy that they're getting and so she's just like Kyle being Kyle acts like everything's okay everything is fine guys everything is fine and then Kyle is like making a scene though he's walking off like talking to himself again talking to himself on the microphone and then it's like she's just like I've just put up with stuff for so long and he's acting like I'm ruining his life and then they seem to leave that and we get some like video of them going out to the next bar I wrote down the times of when everyone returned. 11 31 p.m. Sierra and Amanda return. 12 44 a.m. Bailey, Levi, Carl, Kyle and Ben come home and Kyle is wasted. I write Kyle is blasted wearing his sunglasses inside. Bailey's like go to your room with your wife and Kyle doesn't care and Carl is like Kyle is going through a hard time harder than any of us probably realized. He says and it seems different than the last four or five years he's complained about their relationship on TV, but I'm not sure how to help him. And then you made the point of he goes and passes out, Kyle, with his shoes on. Yeah. Which means I think you're allowed to draw a penis on his face if that happens, right? That is the rule. Like, it would actually be kind of funny if Amanda woke up and did that. Imagine in the morning he wakes up with a sharpie dick on his face. He kind of deserves it. Okay, so then 2.16 a.m., Wes, Jesse, and KJ all come home. And Wes is hitting that DJ stuff. They're all eating the snacks. They're having a blast. And so they all go to bed. Let's take a break and let's come back with the next morning. Carl's a food guy. He's asking everyone, who wants a bagel? I'm going to the bagel shop. There's, you, I would be in love with Carl because it's like you want a great carb in the morning to soak it up. He has the energy because he didn't drink to go get it for everyone that has drink. Like it's an ideal situation. A perfect friend. Yeah. Carl, he really is the best and he's always concerned about what the meal is. And there's nothing better than being in a house like that and having a person dedicated to that. Like Carl's like, do you want to eat? Because you're going to eat good with me. Levi and Bailey, they're kind of chatting about all the boys and they call Carl a lover boy in the least fuck boy way. I'm like, that is so endearing. I wonder if he watches us back like, you did good, Carl. You did good, Carl. I loved. So we get, they also talk about Ben. They show Ben's butt. That's what I loved. It made me think of just the beginning seasons when they did this and they really didn't have the understanding that the cameras were always on. Right. Carl and like the work his sister would hook up and he'd have to go like throw a towel over the camera because they learned the hard way that the cameras were on still. And then we had the pantry. Yeah. And then we had the pantry and then they said, nope, now we're going to put a camera in there as well. I know. You really can't hide unless you go in the pool. That's the only time the mics come off. Have you watched yet the Rob Roush Love Island pool moment? Yes. And he dives in the pool because he wants to get away from the cameras and the microphone. Yeah. Did you find it more endearing or did you think he was being a little overdramatic? You know what? If you need a break, take a break. He can do no wrong, huh? Yeah, absolutely not. This new version of you. Liking these young men. I'm loving it. Okay, so the girls are talking about Ben, you know, but they're funny. He has really good eye contact. It's like he's flirting with you, but don't worry, he's actually not flirting with you. He's just talking. He's just talking to you because Bailey, she's crushing. Yes. She's crushing. I noticed this too. I noticed that Levi had a mark on her face where we find out later at breakfast it's because a goat stepped on her. as she was laying down. Comedic relief. I mean, she's great. She's been great. Sierra sneaks into Jesse's room. Not sneaks. She casually walks in and gets into cuddle. Amanda leaves her room and Kyle says, where are you going? And she says nothing. Out. Out. She just keeps walking and this is fucking bullshit. I'm so sick of this energy. This bullshit. She finds Sierra via find my friends. Is it that accurate? Could be. Wow. Could be. You can see the location of the actual room. I've never tried to look for someone within a home. Why don't you see where Michael is right now? I feel like it would just be like here, you know, at the house. Well, if you zoom in, though, it might give you a closer relationship. Oh, you guys are right on top of each other. Well, he's on the street. But I guess it's like that he's at the back of the house. Okay, interesting. Okay, yeah. They're just like cuddling and they're talking, whatever. and Kyle opens the door and Sierra goes, oh, God. Sierra, she's, look, her and Wes, they had a good time. And not to make this about me, but if it had to make it about me, Wes getting the petting zoo was a good move. He knew what he was doing. It's cute. I feel like she's feeling like he put something out there for her. This is a kumbaya moment. And she is willing finally this summer to accept it. Only took a year. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Carl comes back with the bagels and he said, I saw Kyle running and tried to wave, but he didn't notice me. Unrequited love there. And they're eating breakfast and they're like, Bailey, what are you looking for in a man? And Ben walks in from the pool. She's like, that's exactly what I'm looking for. Aquaman. And then this pisses me off. They all get ready, pack their bags and leave on a Saturday? Too short. What are we doing on a Saturday? We have a Sunday. I guess they just want to put down the cameras. But that's not how it works. I know, I know. We deserve a long weekend. Also, wanted to go back. You like Jesse being the page. Yeah, I think it's fine. It's cute. The three amigos. Yeah. Yeah. But I'm also like, is it the three? Are they the three amigos? Or is it Amanda with Kyle and Wes is really the three amigos? Is this the new A Rose Con Pollo? Yes. Danielle, Lindsay, Carl? I like it. Okay. Yeah, it's cute. Okay. But how did you feel about going home? I mean, at least they picked up cameras back in the city. We got to know a little bit more about Bailey and the It Girl fashion. And I think this was super interesting that her boyfriend was always putting it down, despised that she was successful. Literally went to Diane von Furstenberg. Yeah. And she's like, I paid for our rent. He didn't even work. Like, I paid for our travels. I'm like, how can you let someone gaslight you so much? Because as she said, she loves losers. I liked seeing her It Girl series. I went on her Instagram to look at it. She gets a lot of people within the crowd. I think it's really cool that she does this and has found that. And he probably didn't like, he liked everything that he got from it, but he didn't like her being popular. I see. Is how I'm guessing. And this is the sweet green guy too. Yeah. What an idiot. Bad guy. Hate him. Okay. And then we see Ben watering his plants. I'm like, oh, is Ben going to be boring? It's a Schwartz vibe there. Oh, no. Yeah, I got a Schwartz vibe. Talking to the plant. The plant daddy. We saw KJ skating, but they kept showing him not completing the trick. Yeah, we know he's good. Okay, let's talk about Lindsay, Sierra, Amanda meetup. I love what Lindsay said. She's like, this isn't my mommy hair. This is vintage Lindsay Bob, which I loved. And when she did, remember when she did that like white, white hair? That was fun. Season three, I think. That was fun. I love just like super blonde, icy hair. I do. Because you don't want to be a redhead. Courtney has been telling me that Charlie has red hair. You guys, I know he doesn't. I might be colorblind. Pretty sure he's blonde. Maybe strawberry blonde But Courtney keeps calling him a redhead He does not have red hair I being serious I really don think he has red hair In some lights he definitely does We're going to have to ask the internet. You're going to post his head. But I know what you're going to do. You're going to find the lightest light and you're going to make sure that it features him as blonde as possible. I already know. It's the same as like your hair. I'm looking at it. I see red hair. Oh, I don't. I call myself blonde. Well, because you put highlights. you put a lot of blonde in but you definitely have red in your hair yeah you're Irish which is which is red okay I don't think so but moving on because Lindsay you know she's like Gemma is such a happy girl and I'm so proud of myself I've had quite the year you know the breakup and everything but you know I was born to be a mom I've always been taking care of man babies I also like too There is something, and I know it's crazy to say, but I actually really think the exclusion of Paige this summer is really good for the girls. Oh, do you think they're more open? I think so. I mean, I loved seeing Sierra and Lindsay like walk in together and grab a drink before Amanda shows up. And there's something about them all just being a little bit more open because they almost have to be in a way. and this isn't anything against Paige, but she was clearly done last summer. Like she had reached a different level of fame with Giggly Squad. Her relationship was ending. She didn't want to be, she didn't want to share her life anymore in a public matter. And so she really was in the bed. And then because of that, Sierra stayed in the bed. And then basically because of that, Amanda wouldn't go out as much too. And now this season, it's kind of like, we're all going to be together because now we're the OG girls. I think everyone went into the summer with a good attitude besides Kyle and Amanda. And they said, also, we're going to make sure everybody's aware of it and a part of it. Yes. So Kyle calls Lindsay and he just starts unloading on Amanda. Lindsay's just like, whoa, he sounds pretty defeated. You know, I think he's feeling pretty alone in the relationship. And it's sad because I don't think he really tells Amanda any of this. He vents to all of his friends about it. Amanda's like, you know, he has this like fun, creative outlet now. And I can tell he's happy from it. But our one big fights are centered around the drinking and the going out. So you literally pitch a career that is drinking and going out. So that's been my like number one fight with you all the time and that you drink too much and stay out too late. And then my DMs are blowing up. I hear constant rumors and it turns out that he stayed at a fan's house till 630 in the morning in February. Now, Lindsay doesn't say anything when Amanda reveals this. It's just like shock as she looks at Sierra. But she Sierra is like, that is not OK. Like, this is bullshit. Like, Lindsay, because she's Kyle and Amanda, is like, we're about to be on a spinoff. Oh, God, the trajectory of these storylines is changing by the minute. And I think she just is like, OK, we've got to, like, reevaluate and figure out how she's like, these fuckers are going to ruin my spinoff. Sierra is now the person that Amanda is telling everything to and then witnessing certain things that are happening. And she can't hold it in. Like, Sierra is like, I'm going to tell you how it is when I see it. And she's so sick of this shit. I mean, when you constantly have your friend telling you the same problems, you can only listen for so long. It's like. Right. Well, I also thought if we want to talk about Carl and Kyle. So the next day, Kyle goes over to Carl's house. He's getting a little tea kettle ready. And he's like, hey, Kyle, could I get you anything to drink? And Kyle says, no, I've gotten a coffee. I guess I should have asked if you wanted one. Because he's just on his own island over there. I thought the one thing that stood out on Carl's side, he was going to move to Charleston. I know. Remember, I've always been saying he should move to San Francisco. You have said that. That was not a consideration, though. It was Pittsburgh or Charleston. Yes. The Pittsburgh thing makes sense. He's from there. His mom's there. Charleston feels... I mean, Southern Charm, I'd assume, is like the guys are probably like come down here. Maybe him and Vanita have been going on longer than we know. Oh. Let's start the rumor. Carl, he's in such a good place. I'm just so happy where Carl is at. I really liked his top, by the way. Yeah, he was wearing like a cute green. Oh, he wore that last. I feel like he wore that in a promo shoot for some. If I'm right, I'm pretty sure he wore it to the soft bar party last season when he held at that random house. No, it wasn't a random house. Wasn't it at the summer house? No, it was a house in New Jersey. Remember, they took a party bus there. Yes, yes, yes. And I'm making this up. So guys, It's a green top with a white collar. So Kyle, you look that up. I am. Because that's sick if I can remember something like that. Send me to the mental decision. Kyle's just like, you know, I'm pretty embarrassed about last weekend. I'm feeling a little ashamed. I shouldn't be talking about the relationship so openly. I'm feeling bad. But man, I'm not trying to make excuses. But I just have like a lot of pressure on me with the lover boy thing. I had to take out $500,000 to save the business. I'm not taking a salary. That's why I'm doing the DJ thing. I haven't had a salary since October. Prolong the cash reserve. So he's feeling the stress and that's why he took on this DJ career. When I traveled for Loverboy, I used to have to pay my way. And now I get paid to travel to go do these DJ things. And I think the issue is, is that this is like what Amanda is saying. is like, I don't care that you DJ. If that's what you want to do, go for it. And I'd probably be more apt to want to travel with you to these places if you weren't also getting wasted, hanging out, and then putting our relationship in jeopardy by being in the gray area. Yeah. And that's the problem. But also on his mind is I'm stressed out. This is an outlet for me to let myself go, have some fun. I get drunk and I don't think I'm doing anything bad except that I am because I'm in the gray area. Yeah. You guys, he is a talented DJ. We saw it firsthand. I have to say. He really is. He's a talented DJ. You know, he's... I'm sick. You're right. You're right. She looked it up, guys. She's right. I'm sick. It looks familiar. I'm sick. You have a photographic memory. I can't remember half the shit that I do. No, you do, though. But Summerhouse, call me a historian. Put me in the history books. This is sick. Okay, keep going. but Kyle thinks they can work through this. He's like, you know, I can't imagine my life without her. This isn't on the brink of collapse. I adore her. Like the way she talks about the status quo, that pushes a lot of the issues onto him. And then it gets reduced down to something recognizable that's going on, but he doesn't want to correct her. And so, as you said, they're sweeping it under the rug. I was thinking about it because when he gives this toast at the end, right? And she's talking about when they go to the summer house, he didn't say anything. He hasn't brought it up, whatever. He's like, I apologized on Sunday. Like, what are their arguments, really? Is he just like, hey, really sorry about that. The week is starting. Like, can we move on? And she's like, OK, Kyle. And then he doesn't push it. I can't imagine that, you know, if they drove home, just the two of them, it matters if cameras were up in the car ride home. I can't imagine them not ripping each other that entire car ride home. Or you think they sit in silence? Yes. Remember when he cheated on her and then the two of them drove home and we had cameras in the car and it was dead silence? That makes sense because cameras. I don't know. I don't know. You know, I feel a little bad because I see the pressure and I understand. And I'm also like, wait, what is your lover boy salary versus what you were making on Summer House? What did you sign on for for in this city? The lover boy situation is definitely weighing on him. I think at one point it was very, very successful. And it's the cocktails, the canned cocktails, I think have everyone does them now. It's not a novelty. Do you also think because Loverboy really is synonymous with Summer House, with Kyle and Amanda. Like, I mean, I'm sure there is a percentage, but I would say the main percentage of people buying Loverboy are people in the Bravo sphere who know about Kyle and Amanda. But as a drink itself, I feel like people aren't necessarily picking up Loverboy unless they think the design is really cute. Yeah. Or maybe it's on sale. So I also want to ask then, do you think that his behavior has affected the distribution, a.k.a. bringing down profits? Because he's synonymous with the name Loverboy. No. Okay. No. I just think it's alcohol is a hard space to be in. And there's literally like Budweiser has a seltzer now. You know, it's yeah. Everyone has these to go cocktails now. It's not a crazy invention anymore. I think when they got in it, it was very smart and they got in at the right time. But now it's more saturated. And they played their hand maybe when somebody probably wanted to buy it and they were going to hold out for something. I wonder. Remember there was going to be a Loverboy reality show? Yes. Yes. I remember the applications. What's going on with that? I think it just never took off. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Let's take one more break and then let's come back with the next weekend. Okay. I thought it was pretty funny when they're like driving up and talking about, oh, there's like five single dudes and Kyle who goes harder than all of us. How does he have the energy? This feels more like we got to build the new class. Yes. And we meet Mia. She's a real estate agent. She worked at The Box, which we know about The Box because Jessie went to The Box with Lexi and her parents. Right, right. And it is confirmed it is a sex club. So that's fun. Yes. She takes Jessie's room. He's very kind about it, very cool about it. Hey, this is your house now. Yes. And she's going to make a beautiful pasta dinner and chicken cutlets. So brave of her. The first night to offer to make dinner. I can't say I would do that. No. And Carl, because Carl does ask what's for dinner because he's the food guy. He is the food guy. Okay. So I have to say this weekend night, like Friday night, Amanda was starting to bother me a little. Ooh, okay. And I, well, here's why, because I felt very much that she was attaching herself to Sierra. Like the new girls were there. And even at the kitchen, she's like, oh my God, Sierra's only 30 minutes away. And they're like, okay, well, you still like have us. And she's like, yeah, but you guys have each other. Kyle standing right there is like you have me Amanda And she doesn want anything to do with it Like she is just so sick of his shit that he I mean we said this He is her bitch eating crackers He breathes it bothers her And I think I just felt like she was kind of putting the other girls like on an island a little bit as opposed to like being more welcoming in that sense. Yeah, no, I think you can feel like the OG energy, especially within the girls. I mean, she starts out getting out of the car. I'm not thanking you. I expect to be driven. Like she's on one. She runs into the house and gets a glass of wine, pops herself outside on the new couch. He just wants to get away from Kyle as fast as possible. She's like, I had just been two hours straight with him in the car. Kyle is like, oh, is this like brand new furniture? Like, is this like legit outdoor furniture? She's like, I don't know, Kyle. I haven't checked the tags. And he's like, okay. And for the first time of the night, I feel like he's saying, I'll just go fuck myself. And obviously it's, I'm sure it's like due to the things that he has said and everything. So like, it's probably, she's just being very reactive in a way. But I just didn't want this for her. Because I don't want anyone to have energy for her because of like his bad behavior. And that's what I'm doing right now. And literally, they start talking about Kyle's like, I got to go pick up my credit card from last weekend. And Wes says something like, oh, are you going to go pick up your forehead? Part of your forehead because you slipped and like broke your skin. And Amanda didn't know about that. And she's like, what now? What's this story? Oh, you had to be carried out of another bar. You know, she's so sick of hearing. She's like, for the 17th time? And Wes is like trying to make things change. He's like, no, 17's like a nice number. And she looks at Wes and says, are you married? And he's like, oh, no. She's like, yeah, okay, shut your mouth. That was a little aggressive. I guess that's what I was saying was like she hates him so much, but she's letting it affect her with the other relationships. And let Kyle do that because he'll ruin him too. I mean, he said he was married to a cactus. She's so feisty. Like, how did that even like I don't even know how that like spiraled so bad. It's just like being married to a cactus. She's trying to make a fool of me. I think you're both trying to do that to each other right now. The Kyle thing is so old. The drinking and like making excuses for the drinking. It's just I'm over that. It's too much for me. I guess it's like for me, too, though, is like we know. And again, I'm not making excuses for Kyle. I'm not doing a Kyle. I don't want to make excuses, but. But this show really is about partying. And I think he feels this pressure as the number one OG to send it. Sure. As you will. And he just doesn't know how to stop himself. And Amanda keeps thinking he might change. And it's like he's not, at least during this next few months of summer, he's not going to. Oh, no. This is like his most amped up time. Mm-hmm. And then we got this very deep, cagey Sierra combo. I was kind of shocked by it. I loved it. It was out of nowhere for me. I loved it because they were just talking about growing up. And they were talking about growing up, being black in like these white spaces and not understanding why she had certain rules. And her mom was there to protect her. And now she understands so much more about how her mom raised her. And then this is really where she was so vulnerable with us being like, I don't want to recreate the turmoil that I lived in. And so I'm trying to salvage relationships that are scarred, but I have to have boundaries. But my number one thing is that I also want everyone to be together. I'm trying to be less rigid. That's a theme this summer. And I'm going to start fresh with these relationships or not have them. Family or the other idiots in the house. Yeah. Good for you, Sierra. Like that is growth. And I think you giving another chance and figuring out if it's worth it or not is really bold. Good for you. Also, I think these shows are about evolution and about forgiving people and about showing how you can have like a different side of a relationship. Because, I mean, they're telling a story at the end of the day. This is like a reality TV story. There's a mirror being held up to every person in this house. And KJ's like, I can see that you are such a strong and resilient woman. I noticed that the first time I met you, like, you were amazing. Yeah. He's a doll. He's a doll. Okay. So then we have this dinner. Mia makes a feast. Everyone kind of changes. It's like we go to Dorit's Capri room in the backyard. This is nicer than Dorit's Capri room. Yeah. But they had place cards. They had lemons on the table. I didn't see nine in a bowl. But that's okay. That's okay. Yeah. And Kyle wants to do a little cheer. So cheers to old friends and making new friends. And this is what coming out here is about. And I just want to apologize for last weekend and my spiral. And Sierra's like, oh, my God, this guy. No, you are not doing this. She says, is this toast about you? It's the euphoria line. Like, is this fucking play about us? He starts to spiral a little bit. And he's like, can I adjust the table? Like, you love talking over me. And Kyle keeps trying to go on, right? What I was trying to say is out of respect for my marriage and my wife, I apologize for airing Dirty Laundry and letting some of my emotions get the best of me. And they keep flashing towards Amanda's face. And she is just like, you got to be shitting me. This doesn't need to be done in front of the whole table. This should have taken place last week in our home. Okay, I'm going to go fuck myself, maybe. Sometimes I just want to speak to everyone because we're all in the house together. And it would be great if everybody could be respectful. Sierra, I'm trying to have a heartfelt moment and she's laughing at me. Bailey and Levi are probably laughing too now because this is like hot. Mary, you would be cackling because nothing makes you laugh harder than nerves. Uncomfortable. I would be so uncomfortable. I'd have my napkin over my mouth, giggling to my mouth. You'd be elbowing me. Like, are you? Ticking me under the table. Like, this is crazy. And then Amanda's like, don't talk that way to Sierra. I was laughing at you too. Gets up. He throws his chair. He like walks through the kitchen door, slams it. Like the painting falls off the wall. Classic Kyle. He's talking to himself. This is a bunch of bullshit. I was trying to be nice. I was trying to do a toast. I was trying to apologize to the table. And it's so funny because it's like Kyle is just so, he's so predictable though. Kyle gets wasted, flies off the handle, says things he shouldn't, goes for a run the next morning to Sunday scary it and think about it, waits for a moment that the house is all together, apologizes, like that Amanda is so sick of it. And I actually think Sierra's giving her a lot of confidence this summer, too, to confront these things. Here he goes again, and he's like, well, now I'm dealing with a little bit more stuff than you are. Like, remember when he went off his page? Yes. It's like every summer, he's stressed. I know. The guy, you can tell. When he was at Carl's house, you could feel the stress. Does Kyle ever smoke weed with Amanda? I was going to say, maybe he should get into that. He should maybe just a few. You don't even have to pass out, Kyle. Just like put a Pixar movie on. Take the edge off. Take the edge off. Like you need to watch Inside Out 2. You should see the little anxiety monster that's in Inside Out 2. I think you would relate to it. I think it would help you. And I think you'd cry. Yeah. It's also interesting that Amanda moved out. I mean, I guess they're still at Loverboy headquarters. I feel like they use that as part of their office anyways. She was like, I just have to get out. or because he wasn't going to. Oh, he's traveling. She's kind of like the one that left. It's also weird. Yeah, everyone's kind of rooting for you to break up. She said the whole internet it was and she doesn't know what's right. Her mind or the internet are both. I just wish that Kyle instead, he's like the CEO of Loverboy and he wants to make money and he's gone to business school and he's done all this entrepreneurial stuff and he can't slow down. Kyle also doesn't know how to be bored. Yeah. Amanda knows how to be bored. Amanda could lay and rot in bed all day. And I relate to that so hard. And I feel like Kyle is like, so what do you want me to do? Sit here and do what? To relax. He doesn't know how to relax. No, he doesn't. Like him relaxing is going and playing a DJ set. Him relaxing is going out and getting drunk. Yeah. Him relaxing is going on a run. Like, does he get massages? He doesn't seem like a massage guy. Like, I feel like he could use acupuncture. Sure. stress relief. I feel like he would enjoy a pedicure. I feel like Carl would get pedicures. He should take Kyle with him one time. Yeah. They don't need a dollar, just buff. You know, I just think he doesn't know how to be bored. I think you're on to something. And him and maybe that's kind of why they're they really are butting heads on this is because neither of them want to compromise enough to be less bored or more bored. And at the same time, they were they were in a relationship for over a decade. I feel like that's successful. You know, how many summers were they good? I just said they were in a relationship for a decade. I didn't say they had good summers. Carol Radzville had more good summers left than they did, unfortunately. And that's tough. That is tough. I love it. I love it. I'm so invested. Again, I think them putting the statement out before. Oh, thank God they did. My conspiracy theory was that they saw the screener for the premiere episode and said, if we don't announce it now, this is going, it's going to be so much worse. It was smart to announce it when they did. Very curious when they're going to say it to the camera. Is, I feel like they're going to go into the city or we're separating and moving out. I think that's going to be a main storyline of In the City. Yeah. Because they also said too that they were filming up till BravoCon and then they popped on a plane. She's got the date. Yeah. So I think you're right because if we're filming that it's going to be and now we're going to bravo con and we have to deal with this yeah god i love this show when's the spring show what's gonna be the spring one we need year round like also please give us a ultimate girl ship with the single girlies yes i want hub house i want amanda i want sierra i want you could throw vanita on there you could put molly on there throw sally in there yes like i would love just like the girls you know what they don't even need to be single if you want to throw Paige in there too. If you want to throw like Katie Maloney and like Ariana, like I would just love to celebrate these women. That's how they could get back Paige, I feel like, doing a two-week girls trip with this younger generation. Anyways, another good week. Yes. Okay. Bye. You
