the next week. You're listening to Mundo in the morning on 95 7 FM KCMO. Well happy Tax Day. I don't want to put that in my six at six, but yeah, today is tax day, so make sure you either get those taxes filed or you file the extension. I woke up today and I. I'm not sure I'm going to be able to get a refund. I'm not sure I'm going to be able to get a refund actually came in on Tax Day. That's that's kind of neat. And it's always cool to get a refund. But then I realized how much money I wasted throughout the year that the government got to keep. At no interest, so getting that big tax return is not all it's hyped up to be. It's really probably not a good thing because it means the government just held on to my money for a year and now I'm getting it back to me. I'm not sure I'm going to get a refund. I'm not sure I'm going to get a refund. I'm not sure I'm going to get a savings plan. No, no, no, no, not at all with three kids, though. We get the special rebates. Yeah, well, that's true. Yeah, You're right. I mean, you're right, Mark. It is good to have multiple children. That's a good thing. But at the same time, I'm like, this is this is too much of a refund. Okay Like I did a bad job on the withholdings if this is the refund, but I'll worry about that. I'll deal with that with my accountant here going back to you. I'm going to get it back to you. All right, I'm going to get it back to you. Okay. Number one. All right, mediators are moving closer this morning to extending the ceasefire between the United States and Iran restarting the negotiations to salvage the fragile truce before it expires next week that coming from the Associated Press, a senior Iranian military official threatened to halt trade in the region at the U. S. Does not allow the U. S. to move back to the United States. And this is a series of news that are overshadowing diplomacy. So this news came out just six minutes ago in a story from the Associated Press that's there is a move between both sides to extend the ceasefire between the United States and Iran. Number two. Well, let's go to the Royals. The Royals path to downtown baseball took two more steps yesterday. And the first step was to allow the United States to move back to the United States. And this was a meeting to approve the stadium funding plan where the city would give up to $600 million towards a $1.9 billion stadium project at Washington Square Park. Hours later, the city's board of parks and recreation commissioners, a five member board appointed by the mayor unanimously approved a resolution authorizing Mary! And this was a decision made by the city. So these two votes laid the groundwork for the city. To solidify its offer to the team, which will go to a vote of the city council coming up on Thursday. Number three. Well, let's go to this story. The FBI has added a Kansas City fugitive to its 10 most wanted list. That's right. Where's John! The city's mayor is now in the FBI's 10 most wanted fugitives list. This comes with up to a $1 million reward for leading to an arrest or a conviction. Yesterday, Chief Graves, the FBI and the Jackson County Prosecutor's Office announced the development pertaining to Kasshawn, Nicola Roper. Roper is wanted for her alleged involvement in a shooting on August 23rd of 2020. During an altercation, it's alleged that the victims were charged with a second degree murder. The victims resulting in the death of one of them. On September 10th of 2020, Roper was charged with second degree murder, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon. And there was a state warrant for her arrest on July 1st of 21. A federal arrest warrant was issued for Roper. Ropers described as a black female, five foot five, 120 pounds, black hair born in Kansas City. Up on her left arm, Upra left arm Upra right arm back left calf, neck, wrist, right breast and abdomen. So basically, she's covered in tattoos. She also has pierced ears. And while she previously resided in Kansas City, She has ties to where may visit Kansas, Nebraska, Texas, Colorado, Georgia, and South Dakota. She should be considered armed and dangerous. And if you've any information, call the FBI that. Yeah, sure. Well, next up we got the tornado confirmed as an E F two that blew through Ottawa on Monday night. So that was, um, of course, assessed yesterday in the wake of the damage from Monday evening, and it was a confirmed E F two tornado. We dodged any of that weather that we were expected to potentially have last night today, as Luke Doris said, two to eight o' eight. And that was a potential major severe weather day across our region. So Friday is the next day to really keep a very close eye on number five. The masters ratings were bonkers. Oh my goodness. CBS Sports delivered the most watched final round of the master since 2015, averaging 14 million viewers covered peak with more than 15 million viewers. And that was a very shocking jacket for a second straight year, becoming just the fourth golfer ever to do that. So that that is just I was shocked by that, not that and I'm a golf fan. But I was very surprised to see those numbers come in the way that they did on Sunday. That's a that's a monster number. And it beat, you know, Tiger Woods winning the first place. Watching the masters. That's the largest peak for the masters since 2013. That's crazy. Number six and last up in the six at six, a new study on ultra processed foods. May hurt muscle health. This study was released yesterday. In the journal radiology ultra processed foods that include salty snacks, sugary drinks and fast food make up the majority of calories in Americans and those who are not able to eat healthy foods. And that's why the diet is well established. What's not as well known is the diet also has a significant impact on muscular skeletal health. So this new study that dropped yesterday. Shows here in part that your legs basically look like a ribeye. If you live off of ultra processed foods. You want a sirloin steak, but when you're on a diet, you don't want to look like a ribeye and for too many Americans. Their thighs are looking like rebies. So get out there today and work on those thighs and stream us on the KCMO talk radio app. There's your six at six.
