Welcome to the fantastic Caza del Tesoro, the Coffee Break. Join us for a second virtual treasure hunt across Europe, episode one. Hi, I'm Marc. And I'm Anabel. How are you, Anabel? I'm great, and how are you? I'm super entusiasmado, I am very excited today because this is the first episode of our brand new mini series from Coffee Break, season two. We're back for another treasure hunt. So I'm going on a virtual mission to find the treasure, and how will I find that treasure? Hemos preparado cuatro pistas. Cuatro pistas, so four clues. Ok, so I'm going to be looking for clues, well I'm going to be looking for destinations through the clues. Empezamos, ¿no? Empezamos. So in each clue we are going to be studying the language, but we're not going to be revealing the location because the most important part of this is that you can join us on this treasure hunt. This is not just a podcast, it's not just a video series, it's a competition and you can win some fantastic prizes. So stick around until the end to find out what those prizes are. Ay, que emocionante. Shall we begin with the first line of the clues? Vamos. Ok, so we're trying to work out which city these lines point to. Ok, un muro is a wall, antes, before, marcaba fronteras, so was marking a border. Perfecto. So, luce is from the verb lucir to display, to show. So the wall today is showing art, que el alma libera. Which liberates the soul. Eso es. Tenemos el verbo liberar, no? Free. Ok, so freeze the soul. Let's continue. A good clue, I think, got a little bit of an idea so far. The next section. So fulgor is an interesting word. Can you explain what that word means? Fulgor is a glow, algo brillante. Eso es el fulgor. Algo brillante. So donde terminan los tilos? Los tilos, that's quite a technical word, isn't it? So we know we are talking about a flower. A flower, ok. So where end the something in flower? Sounds very fancy. Ok, so far so good. Let's look at the next section of the clue. Hum, hombrecillos, little men, little characters, ok. So con rojo y verde, so with red and green. Al gentío guían. Gentío is an interesting word. We see gente in there, but it's the multitudes of people, isn't it? So lots of people. So with red and green, estos hombrecillos, these little men, guían al gentío, they guide the lots of people, the multitudes, con alegría, with happiness. Mm-hmm. Right, so muy alta, very tall, emerge, emerge una torre orgullosa, a proud tower. Eso es que vela la ciudad. So velar is when you look over, it watches the city. Serena y grandiosa, so serena and grandiosa. Sí, eso es. Yeah, ok. So let's go back through our clues. We had a few things to think about. First of all, a wall, which once upon a time traced a border, but which now has art. Eso es. Ok, and then we had something about los tilos, ok? And I'm going to give our listeners a little bit of a clue here. Los tilos are the lindentrees. Eso es. Ok, so let's think about that. And these lindentrees in flower, in bloom, at the end where they end, there's a gate that arises, ok, and a gate of great glowiness. So, an important gate. And then we had something about little red and green men. Yeah, interesting. Interesting, yeah. And they guide the crowds, ok? And then finally a great proud tower, which looks over the city. Oh, ah. There's one other thing, one other little clue that you can give us, because we're starting our treasure hunt in the city of Glasgow, where most of coffee break is based, and we're travelling a certain distance and in a certain direction. Entonces, puedes decirnos a dónde vamos y a qué distancia viajamos. Pues vamos al sureste. Al sureste. Y en kilómetros son 1200 kilómetros. Ok. Y en millas 750 millas. So 750 miles are 1200 kilometers roughly to the southeast, and that's where we will find this city. Ok, so this is episode one of our treasure hunt, and today, if all goes well, then today's the 20th of October. Episode two is coming on the 22nd of October. Episode three on the 24th of October. Episode four on the 26th, and then after that, a few days later, we will reveal the final location. Oh. And what you need to do is let us know where you think these locations are, but don't post them in the comments. That will spoil everything. What we need you to do is wait until our final destination and then we'll share a link, and you can send us those four destinations, and if you get all four correct, then we have something special for you. You will win a free month on the Coffee Break Club, our video on demand library, which will help you move forward with your language learning with a video lesson every day for the next month. Ah, que emocionante, me encanta. So stick around, make sure you watch the final video or listen to the final episode of this mini series of the podcast, and then you'll find out exactly what to do.
