Summary

On Saturday at Augusta National, Cam Young and Rory McIlroy finished tied at 11-under par heading into Sunday's final round after a dramatic day of momentum swings. Rory squandered a six-shot lead with poor iron play and a double bogey at 11, while Cam Young surged with aggressive play and precise wedge shots to take the lead before Rory recovered late. The hosts analyze the leaderboard, course setup, and make picks for Sunday's finale.

Insights
  • Rory's collapse wasn't a choke but a mechanical swing issue—his irons were consistently pulling left all day, forcing him to expend energy on recovery shots rather than playing freely
  • Cam Young's appeal transcends typical modern golf stardom; his quiet demeanor, aggressive play style, and lack of social media presence create intrigue and magnetism with fans
  • Augusta's setup this year prioritized playability over difficulty compared to Thursday, potentially limiting the dramatic shot-making and risk-reward scenarios that define the course's mystique
  • Scotty Scheffler's 65 with two-shot iron advantage over second place demonstrates why he remains the favorite despite being four shots back—he has the lowest ceiling for improvement
  • The Masters' uncertainty is its greatest asset; a six-shot lead means nothing, and players can swing from disaster to recovery within holes, making it compelling theater

Music Be the right club. Be the right club today. Yes! There we go! I mean, that's better than most. How about in? That is better than most. Better than most! Music Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to the no laying up live show. The no laying up podcast. How about that? Huh? Solly, you tried to say it was over last night. I tried to tell you just wait. There's something about this golf course, man. You just never know. What a day. Holy smoke. Solly, how are you? I am buzzing. I don't recall ever walking off a golf course at a tournament round that I've attended and been buzzing harder than this. I did not get to see Rory last year on Saturday and Sunday. I went home for that. Really good decision. Of the nine ish tournament rounds. I think I've seen it. Augusta, this was by far the best. Just incredible energy everywhere. He looked just awesome stuff happening in the final three groups and so much fun. Just a little, you know, corners and concave. I will get into it. I'm so excited. Just take the mic back. You got to keep me in control tonight. TC riding a wave of emotions today. Tom, I mean, Fleetwood, Rose, Reed, Rory, just all kinds of stuff for you to react to you today. Yeah. Yeah. I feel like I've gone through seven stages of grief about four different times this week, but I was proud of Tommy for not indulging in the lawlessness and the looting today out there. He respects the green jackets too much. We are, we're going to talk about a lot of things. Of course, of course, if you're just joining us, Cam, young and Rory McElroy are tied atop the leaderboard headed into the final round of the masters. We're of course brought to you by titleist. I should have mentioned that off the jump that our, our friends of title said, don't even do an ad read. Just get right into it. They said, just talk about how much ass Cam young kick today. So that's, that's, those are my words, not their words. But yeah, that's what we're going to, that's we're going to do. So shout out to titleist. Thank you. Thank you to them. I mean, I think we got, I don't even know, did we start with Rory? Did we start with Cam young? I think we, we got to probably start with Rory entering the day on a, with a six shot lead. There's a lot of stats. I was digging up about people who were leading major championships with leads that big after 36 holes. I'll just lay this one out there for you guys. Every player in a major since 1983, who has led by five or more shots at the halfway point has gone on to win. It happened nine times. Notables on that list. Tiger at pebble. He of course went on to win by 15. Rory did it once at congressional. Martin Kimer did it at Pinehurst. Brooks had a seven shot lead in 2019 when he very did a little bit of whips of what we saw today. Nearly kicked it away. He won by two, but yeah, we're in rare air here. If Rory does not pull this off, it was quite a roller coaster ride. Saw that. I know you probably saw little bits and pieces of it. Were you flying around? What were you doing today? Yeah, it was, I mean, it's set up really great for, for awesome watching in person with the final three groups being what they were, Lowry Fleetwood and then P and team Rose and Burns and Rory. So it was, you know, kind of how the mapping of the, of the course goes. Like you can watch some everybody T off on one. And by the time you get down to two green, you cut the corner there. You can watch all three of those groups come through, watch them come through three. So I saw a lot of, you know, you can't see everything at Augusta, but saw so much of, of that part of the course. And it's like, bang, read fresh out of the gate, birdie on one, birdie on two, birdie on three. Here he comes. Rory Bogies on one blew it way right off the tee. And then he steps up and drives number three. It was just like that, that day you've, I feel like you've, I've heard my grandpa talk about and go into the masters of like, there's just stuff going on everywhere at all times. Hopefully the broadcast was good and capturing all of that because it really just felt like all the fans were talking to each other. Excuse me. Oh my God, patrons. That's on me. All the patrons were like, there was just this wave of communication going on. I'm like, Rory's wet on 11. He's wet on 11. And I'll ever just relaying messages around the golf course. And yeah, that was like the match, the magic of the masters I thought was captured on this Saturday. So I would say the, the broadcast was good. I think it's at points there was too much going on and they couldn't keep up with it, which I feel like that's a first world problem to have. It did show Lowry's ace like 19 times in a row and like all this other shit is going on at the same time and they just kept going back to it. I was leaving three green as the Rory group had come through there. That's everyone does cuts to six on my way there. Like walking, I'm on 70 in the ace fella. And I was probably 30 seconds too late to be in there for that one. That one. It looked pretty much what you thought. Yeah. That's the whole one. He hit it. Then it went in. Tc, what jumped off the page for you with Rory today? I mean, I felt like God, I felt like you can't keep getting away with the first like when he got up and down on six. Oh my God. That was insane. Just to run through it a little bit. So you said, I mean, he pushed it right on one, but still very playable. He had like 89 yards, I think, and it hits it over the green from there. Very, very nervy little putt from the fringe, which was my first whiff of like, oh shit, I shouldn't have said all that stuff on the live show last night about it being over. Just a man's called it a shocking bogey, which I think was was apropos. Made part on two fine, but that was, you know, the lead was down to three by that time from six, you know, when he when he woke up this morning, it was quickly down to three by the time he walked off of number two. The drive on number three was insane. All of the stuff that we're going to talk about like, oh my God, he was so wobbly. I couldn't figure out the driver. What was going on with the irons? The drive on three was bananas. I mean, there were a couple guys that pushed it up there today, but to do it in that spot with, you know, reeling a little bit. I don't know. It did seem like Trevor kind of said this on the broadcast too, but like every time the chips were down, he did lock in and nut up and hit one. You know, it was almost like the opposite when it was like, okay, man, you got a little bit of breathing space. It was like that. Oh God, there's the right ball again. You know, it was like that shot on three, the one on five, the one on 18. We're all just like, okay, that's that's the guy that, you know, who the fuck is this other guy that keeps popping up? I've been off the everything app today, but I'm hoping somebody did the Shane Gillis like, you know, the meme of like Roy McRoy as soon as he has a three shot lead or more at Augusta just like turns into Shane Gillis. I tried to play that golf course because it is like, well, as soon as he gets like down again, you're like, oh, he's going to party the next three like for sure. But when he's up, it just seems it seems shaky, man. It really did. He was I didn't get to see all the front nine, but from what I did see it was fortunate to get it in with what he got it in at. I think the like the one that really impressed me and he had a great put there yesterday, but another good one today was the up and down on four. 100%. I think if that pot doesn't go in on four, it starts spiraling earlier because you're going to five, you know, in a world of hurt and and kind of delayed the inevitable until, until 10, which is almost what kept being in the back of my head was like, he got that one up and down on four because that was the first, I mean, saw he had the left miss in play with the irons like all day, almost all of the long irons mid irons he hit, even the way I mean the wedges he hit were just yanks left all day. And that was the first one that I was like, okay, we've studied the ship to see like we're, we're good man like save par there and we're moving on and yeah, he had cut off at that point. Yeah, that that moment just never fully came or that switch never really flipped when we would we were okay to chill a little bit. But I don't know if this showed up. I meant to go back and watch this, but he drove it right on seven as I was like hustling up there and I ended up like right next to him as he's hitting that shot and like, he's in the right rough and he's got like a tree limb on the tree right in front of him and he pulls like a wedge out and I was like, dude, what are you going? I cannot tell what you're trying to do with this and like it looked like the wedge was just going to go directly into this limb. There's a little bit of pines kind of coming off the top of that limb and sure enough like he hits it and it cleared the very strong limb by like this much and still nipped pine needles like he was playing so aggressively. We've seen him play very aggressively with the second shot on seven from the trees but it was like that ball could have came ricocheting right back at him and he ended up saving par on that hole as well from the cream side bunker which was very impressive. Which is what I have in my notes when we get to that point is just like how the hell is he even par right now with how bad he's hitting it and it was a classic like Augusta afternoon too where not like you could see him isolated in this, you know, just torture chamber that he's in where he like, Oh my God, this thing's going to slip away. Everybody else was just making everything. I mean, this is like right in the midst of Scotty's run. How Tong Lee's making eagles and almost holding out on 10. Sam Burns is playing really good golf. I mean, it was kind of haymakers like all over the place around him. And meanwhile, like the app is struggling. There's like a worldwide outage today on the app. So it's not updating any of like the highlights. So you're just you're even more relying upon what's going on with broadcasts and everything. It came back online and everything was good. You can watch everything, you know, midway through the back nine. But it was like, man, I felt like it was going back in time a little bit and 12 years. And he gets to eight. There's, you know, the great stat that keeps shouting it out on the broadcast, but has not hit a fairway on a par five yet this week. To that point, that street continues at eight lays up to like a great ideal spot. It's kind of a clumsy chip. Can't really convert it. Misses out on a birdie there. Nukes to drive on nine. You think maybe that's going to be kind of like a, all right, we've we've settled down again. No, not really the case, but ends up making par has placed 10 great, you know, makes birdie there to get back to two ahead. And then that brings us to 11. So were you standing there for that? No, I did not go to a men corner. That's that's when the murmurs started going around the golf course. That's when I darted over for for cam. He already on 10 though, Dige. I was like, okay, cool. Like, I know it's like a fifth time that I had done that on the back to regularly scheduled program. And I felt like all of his misses were were either left or right. They weren't really long or short. Yeah. You're kind of thinking, all right, like he's, he's not hitting it that poorly. There's just something going on with his swing. His contact is okay. And then yeah, and then 11 just, I mean, similar to Ludwig a couple years ago, where like it, like it just came out of nowhere. Right. Another one, like, like I said, all day that the miss with the driver was right. The miss with the irons was left. And so he blows one way right on 11 gets lucky, hits a tree bounces back in the fairway. He had, I think 222 shout out to the, I was kind of following the data golf live blog as, as the day was going, shout out to those guys because they had a great post right then. I was like, I actually think this is a horrible break for Rory. I know this is silly, but I think this is a horrible break that this ball just came back in the fairway because now he's got a long iron. There's trouble left and he can't stop hitting it left and he's going to keep being aggressive and probably hit it in the water. And that's exactly what happened. That was one of the more like pre-ordained water balls. I could feel that in my bones as he stepped into that shot was just like, as a speed fan, I could feel that. Is this going to bounce in the water? Is this going to just fly in the water? That's happening. And then how long? I mean, I'll topping one into the water. I literally got wet on 13. Did you see that? I saw the replay of that. But can I also shout out the yellow hazard on 11, like making Rory drop where he had to, I mean, you know, it was so hard to just roll right in the water. And it's like, ah, okay, you just drop right near the green and chip right up and take your bogey. No, you got to go drop in the drop zone and ends up making double with it is like just another example of the freaking shot value out there, man. It's just you got to be precise. You can't miss. And if you missed, you're going to pay. Weirdly though, I think if he makes that putt, like that almost feels like a confidence boost or a like, you know, as good as a birdie or an eagle, like a whole shit. I just hit it in the water on 11 and I only made bogey. Yeah. But just not a good putt there. So that brings us to 12 where we're probably, you know, finalize our play by play here. But another left miss, another tough spot. He hits it up on that downslope just short of where the pine straw is. So he's in the short grass on the downslope. Doesn't looks like he's a little indecisive on what to do. Ends up hitting a wedge, just kind of a little clunky short, two putts for his bogey and came young is your leader at that point. So he's going on an absolute tear on the other side of the golf course, hitting some trees and bouncing back in the fairway a couple of times on, on his own. But yeah, man, just a pretty surreal, like I was thinking about it last night, kind of during and after the show. I'm like, man, well, you know, we're joking about the block party stuff and why, why does this feel a little different? And I was just kind of thinking like whenever something, you know, you have, you have Roger Bannister go and run the four minute mile. Like if he does it again, two weeks later, it's like, okay, all right. Well, yeah. Yeah. Pretty cool. But now it's just like, yeah, what if we kind of like Nick is Achilles a little bit? You think he could do it again now? Like, let's, you know, let's, let's see. That's kind of a little bit how I'm, I'm feeling today where a, a absolute runaway would have been cool in that it would have been like, man, this is the guy we've wanted to see for 15 years now. Just like, where's that guy, you know, who did it a couple of times in 2011 and 2014 and who can just put the pedal down and go and blow everybody away. It's like, ah, it's going to be one of those weeks. Hell yeah. He's back. And that was, that was exciting, but not nearly as exciting as like, okay, well, let's see if he can hang on like again, because this is the Rory. I think everybody knows and loves. I think I went through this, this revelation last night of like, the masters Instagram had this highlight clip of just all of his shots. Oh, and like that cool filter and it's like really, really ambient, great background noise. I must have watched like six times because I'm just, it was, it was awesome. It was mesmerizing because it just like the way that they cut it, the whole treatment on it was awesome. And like the pot that he made on four and just seeing, seeing the way he uses the earth and all that stuff. I'm like, man, this guy is such a dude. And you know, like I can forgive him for being a, for being a bad loser sometimes because that's what fuels days like today. And I'm like, I'm really getting rower on. I'm like, this is everything that we've always wanted him to be. He's growing into a pitcher. He's got, he's got a full arsenal of pitches now. He's not just throwing heat all the time. And then today happened. And I'm like, oh, you just hit the first like three batters of the game. You're just like, oh, run. Exactly. He didn't even record it out. I, how I felt the halfway point, but I was trying to harp on last night was like, how much golf there is left to play in this. And like, I weirdly feel somewhat better about his chances tomorrow. Right. Right now tied. Then if he had a three shot lead, kind of like TCs, like, oh, this hole is actually harder from the upties. It's not, but I know literally his wind probability went way down. There are a lot of holes like that at TBC Sawgrass. They're, they're, it's obviously he would prefer to have a three shot lead, but it, I don't think this like disqualifies him from winning tomorrow. I don't think it's over. I don't think it's anything over the but over from Roy. I still think he's the favorite to win. I would still be, I'd be surprised if he did not win. If you gave me Roy versus the field right now, I would, I would take Rory. Like he got this round out of the way. I hopefully just got, it's so easy to say. And what I felt like we were trying to get to the point last night of like, no, you don't understand. He's freed up now. He's freed up now. I, I wasn't really buying that, but I do think he can get there. Like, if that doesn't do the Pukin rally, like today doesn't do the whole sobering up of like, dude, you can't play defensive. You gripped it too tight today. You did all the things you weren't supposed to do now that you've already won this tournament. Go out and be the dude that hit the shot into 15 again today. And I don't know. I have a feeling that it was, he's still the best player on this board right now. Cam Young's making a very, very good, good chase. As I said that, I'm like, I'm positive on that, but like, he's not playing like the best. He's not playing like the best, but you think he plays well tomorrow? Or do you think he just keeps the same grit and grind like Memphis Grizzlies? We're just going to play defense and slap the floor. I don't think he's going to move to Nashville tomorrow. That's what you're saying. Rob's going to be disappointed to hear that. I, I think he plays better tomorrow. I do. I think he's in a, he's got to be able to say like, look, I am tired of going to follow around the Masters. Truly don't think he could play worse. Like that's as bad as he can, as he can play today. But also today should have been so much worse. Like from where he is in certain spots. Like, I mean, I'll go back to six. Yeah, we kind of see it pass that a big left, miss, big left, miss, hit the left. He was out of the bamboo down there. You know, you don't hear a lot of smart commentary in the crowd. One person next to me is like, man, nobody hits it over there. What's that? Oh, Dottie was shouting out that you had a bamboo forest that's down there, which is, which is great. Rory, you know, I like what Rory tells you what's, what's on his mind. That one, as soon as he made Goddack, you could tell, like, I mean, he was terrified of where that, that ball is going to end up. Maybe got a little lucky on where that ended up. And then yeah, like you said, just get walks away on skates. He's such a good shot. Like to recover, but he's wildly popular. Everybody got out of the way of that ball really quickly. He could have used some, some patron help on that one. Like everybody was moving like getting out of the way on that one. Well, let's, let's keep moving because I know Neil's going to come in and he's probably going to have more Rory stuff. So I'm sure we'll, we'll circle back, but we're going to keep shouting at our friends at data golf here. Who do you think has the higher wind probability right now? They're both tied at 11 under Cam Young, 32% to Rory's 30%. What a, what is the next closest after that? Sam Burns, 14 and then Shane Lowry, five and a half. Justin Rose, 4.6. Jason Day, 3.3. Oh, sorry. If some of these were not in order, Scottie Scheffler, 5.4. Yeah. So there were a lot of blog entries about that too. It's like Scottie's incredible 65 and he was two shots better than the whole like second place with his irons today. I mean, it was an unbelievable round of golf from Scottie and still only, you can only move up so much in a day like that, but Cam, Birdie's number three and then chips in for Birdie on number four, which was awesome adds three more birdies, seven, eight and 10. Again, worth reiterating at every possible turn. He was four under or four over through seven at this golf tournament, which is bananas. Hits a chair. Saul, you might not have seen some of this hits a chair on nine and ends up kind of disgusting kicking back on the green. He was way long on nine hits. It's like the base of a chair kicks back on the green granite. It kicked like way back on the green. Probably would have made par either way. But that was funny because on 13 hits a pretty big hook off the tee hits a tree bounces back into the fairway, leaves himself a very tidy nice shot to the green, which he puts right in the middle and two butts for Birdie. To become the first guy to double digits under par at that point. He was within two shots hits a big ass drive on 14 and absolutely stuffs it to get within one. I love when guys just stiff it on that green with all the slopes that are going on there. It's just, it's really fun when you see somebody who really knows what they're doing, landing it in the perfect spot 30 feet away from the hole and ending up, you know, having a having a five footer. It's really good. That was the spot too. We're like, I think a lot of guys, you saw how good these guys are today. Yes. Like so many guys hitting playing the perfect shot for that. And then Rory, you know, missing his spot, not playing the perfect shot and, and making a bomb down that hill, which again was another one of those like, what did he have sandwich? Lob wedge? Lob wedge or gap wedge, something like that in his hand. And again, just like 20 yards. Yeah. Big massive pull to the left. But on the cam front, he kind of had a chance to go even, even deeper. I mean, he hit a, you know, just smothered it a little bit on 15 was blocked out, had to lay up. So I think that's when you picked him up. Is that right? That was exactly when I did. He wasn't a spot where he was like one of the steepest parts of the hill. And as you get up to the top of the grandstands on left of 15 is like the most incredible spot to watch golf from because guys can be 220, 240 yards away. And as soon as the ball takes off, you have like a great view of like, Oh, that's long. Oh, that's short. And like, as soon as that ball was in the air, you're like, Oh, gotta carry. And then I'm starting to like scan the area because there's, there's some patches of overseed still left there. But they're like that whole bank is now essentially Bermuda. And you're like kind of rooting for it to be like, All right, hit that patch, you know, grow grass right there. Hit that patch, hit that patch. Just trickles all the way back in the water. He went over to the drop area. I don't know if they showed all this had to call rules official back in and went back to hit right where he came from. I think he went for one more club this time and then get another one as soon as it's in the area, like, Oh, that is all over it. Almost hold it. Save the bogey. Then flipped over and stuff that on the top shelf there on 16 and made the birdie. And now I think the writer cup moment that he had on 18 had to have done him a ton of favors. Like he doesn't give you a lot of emotion. He doesn't give you a lot of, you know, not a lot of people know much about this guy, but like the walk he took from 15 to 16. I literally wrote down like, man, people love. That was the same thing at the players. Like that was blown away at the outpouring. That is like he's got the juice, man. Like I don't know what it is. I think it's an exciting playing style, aggressive playing style, absolute heaters he goes on and makes a ton of birdies and plays with zero fear. But I was just, you know, I'm sure the American factor has something to do with it. Like you're rooting probably for the American in on American soil. Most fans would tend to do that, but it was a, it was a, it was a bit of a moment there when he rolled that in on 16. And I was, I was glad I hit the right combo on that one and was there for that one. I was a little bit surprised he didn't try to get more out of that, that layup on 15. Like how Rose, I mean, Rose was way down the left on 15. To go up and over the trees and went, you know, but like, I was, I was kind of surprised he didn't try to hook one a little bit farther to the left because it seemed like a tougher angle from way over on the right there. Then like, I mean, Rose had an awesome, awesome look at it from where his wedge was. But, you know, all that considered like, can't, can't hit it, hit it absolutely like nails wed like I'm so impressed with his short irons. For someone who bombs the ball, like the amount of speed you have to dump with your, with your wedges and he's, he's just hitting like the most precise shots in the biggest moments. It's, it's, it is real, really good golf. It is not like modern bullshit, bomb it, figure it out and like just be okay with the rest of the part of your game. It's like, it is, there's artistry in that, right? We're talking about artistry. You need to win at a place like this. Like, he was not my pick to win, but he, he was, it was between him, Rahm and Schaeffler for my three picks, Ray on a limb, one, two, or one, whatever, three in the world. But like, I'm such a buyer and believer in, in Kim Young's like actual game. I mean, I just think he's a totally different golfer since the wind of last year. Ever since he put the new golf ball in play, I feel like his career started right then and there. Anything that happened before that, I kind of don't care about even though there was some really good time periods. I feel like he's been an absolute different golfer since that moment. I need to get that putter he has. It's good coming off nails with it too. And I think that like, I love seeing a guy that hits a draw as well or like sitting to draw like that's always invigorating to me. It's never, it's not an out of control draw either. It is not like a whipping hook. It's not, it's not like a P draw that like P watching P at this golf course hit that shot is awesome. I think it's going to be the LCAP because he uses it so well. Like the shot he hit under the back quadrant on six today, how he got back to that back part of nine. Like he uses that draw spin really well to access some spots that are difficult and that doesn't get rewarded a lot of other places. Like it speaks to just watching a true, watching him and Rose navigate this golf course. It was a treat today, honestly. I think the other thing, Kim, going back to like your kind of the persona. I think there's something interesting that resonates there where he's, he's a very unmodern golfer, right? Like doesn't do social media. He's such a, he's such a slow simmer out there. And I think that, I think people are drawn to that. Like they want more out of it. And they're not, you know, like, it's not, they're not getting anything from them, but you're intrigued by it. You're drawn by it. It's magnetic a little bit. There's something, I feel like we've joked about this on Slack quite a bit over the last year or two, but it's like, he just reminds me so much of a baseball player where, and there's so many baseball players that I'm just like, I watch you for three hours every night. And man, I don't know. Bryce Terrang, I don't know what you think about anything in the entire game the right way. And every night I'm just like, what a fucking ball player, man. God, I got such a ball player. And I don't mean for that to be like a shut up and dribble thing at all. I just think it's like a very, it's just a very funny phenomenon. And honestly, I mean, to no fault of anybody, it's just a very different, it's a big juxtaposition with Rory, right? Who has to do media every week, who we've heard from every week from granted, I believe he declined media today. I'll slip that in there. Now, just Rory was on golf channel. Was he? Oh, I saw it in our notes that bad, bad info by me. But we hear from Rory a lot is what I'm saying. That is like, he's been a superstar for 20 years almost at this point. And that's one of the things you like about Rory too, right? Of course, of course. But with Cam, it is, as you were saying that, I'm just like, man, why are people so, myself included? Like, why are people so drawn to him? And it's just, I think you're right. There's a lot of, it's, I do kind of want to know what's around the corner, but I also am fine not knowing because I'm like, it's a little bit of a Dustin Johnson thing, maybe where I'm like, man, fucking fun to watch that guy just smash it. I would say that I think there's, I think the other thing that's happening with Cam is like over the last six, eight, 12 months. Like, I think, like he does give you stuff in interviews. He gives you good notes. He's thoughtful. Like he gives you good answers. And it's, I think there's, there's, there's substance there too. That's meat. You know, that's kind of, oh shit. Like, I don't know a whole lot about this guy, but I want to know more because I like him. Sounds like I got nuclear. Nuclear golf had a Rory declines media. That's, that's on me. I got it. You better. You got nuclear. I got nuclear. I've got on the Rory quickly on this. Did you guys watch his presser last night? I read the, read the transcript. Did that not feel like a winning a winners press conference last night? He talked for like an, it felt like an hour on the golf channel. It was so long. It was actually in the press building. He was extremely relaxed and it was, was telling, and I was just like mid. Is it over over? Like it's kind of feels like everybody thinks this is over. I mean, well, as somebody who literally said it's over last night, and again, I don't necessarily even regret that because I was just, I was obviously just wrong. Like I knew all of this stuff can happen. It's not like I forgot like, Oh yeah, I guess you can make a bunch of birdies. Oh yeah. I guess you can make bogies. I just didn't think he was going to do that because I, the guy that we had watched the first two days was like so comfortable hitting it all over the map, still making great scores. I'm like, well, he's Rory man. He's not going to hit it all over the map again tomorrow. He'll figure it out. But like reading a lot of those quotes, sorry. Like that's what hit me too was, you know, the guys battled for 16, 17, 18 years, whatever, to win this golf tournament. I think there probably was a little bit of just like, man, this is way more fun. Right. This is way more fun having a six out lead and everybody just talking about how great this is. Yeah. Truly, those old photos of like, He was also feeling himself. He's like, Oh yeah, I didn't play the three weeks before this. This tournament sucks. Why would I cheat up there? Which again, That's sick. Even that was just like, man, that's, he's walking the walk. He said, you know, he telegraphed that one. Like I don't really care about playing normal PJ tour events anymore. I only want to win the majors and he basically said in the press or yesterday, no, all I care about is winning the majors. I was, I've been up here so many times just trying to win this tournament. That's all that matters. That was so weird. People were like, kind of Matt, this is why I don't like Rory. Oh, cool. You have to fly up in your PJ and all that was like, wait a second here. Yeah. This is a dude that could be doing anything with this time is dedicating it to like learning every nook and cranny of this golf course as possible. A place that like once kind of gave him the creeps and he like, like would visibly tense up when asked about Augusta and would talk about it is now like, you know, possibly dreaming of a world where he wins four or five of these and is like, he's earned, earned the right to, you know, spend the money on his private plane to fly it up there through incredible golf in his career. And he's applying that. I'm like, dude, go do your thing, man. That's what I exact. I would love to get that. I was that. I'm not a say if I had all the limited money, like taking my kid to school, dropping them off, flying to Augusta, playing it all day and then coming home for dinner. I'm like, I think that's it, man. I think that's the only thing anybody would ever do. Right. Like I, I don't know. It sounds pretty great to me. Yeah. That was there was a, sometimes he deserves some plaque for some things, but we sure some of the people, like people are going way out of their way to find some things to be. That's, that's the thing I was saying earlier, like when he's bouncing around and when he's really like, I was just blown away at, at like his entire game is predicated upon confidence. Right. So then when he, when he relays that confidence and oppressor, people can't be pissed at him. That's his right thing. Right. You want to hear another, another good stat that kind of blew my mind a little bit. I think this was from the tournament notes from the Elias sports bureau. Yesterday's 65 gave Rory, uh, it gave him the tie for the most 65s or better. In a major of all time with him, Rory, uh, him, Tiger and Dustin Johnson have all majors, all majors. Okay. Wow. All majors he's done it 10 times. He shot 65 or better in a major 10 times, which is tied for the all time record with Dustin Johnson and Tiger, uh, more than Jack ever did it more than Tom Watson ever did it, uh, in a much smaller sample size. I would, I would say so just impressive. One, one negative from Rory today that I didn't like to see was he, I didn't think he was going to be able to get that scoreboard. I didn't see a ton of instances of it, but multiple times on 15 green, like very obviously looking up at the scoreboard, like before and after getting to the green, just like studying it, looking at it. I was like, yeah, but I feel like if you know that that much shit going on, were you and but that, but Sunday, yes, Saturday. I might do, dude, you just kind of play. I think you're either a sport board watcher or you're not. I don't know. We're solid. So you were with cam on 16 when he made that birdie. That was when he took the lead. I don't know if it felt like that or not. That was right. As Rory was scuffling on 12, 543 PM. I think I wrote that down. It was like cam young as the solo lead of the masters and like that's where we, I was near a photographer that had an earpiece that was updating everybody that Rory went in the water and 11 and legitimately like he said it loud enough that it was working its way down the grandstands into the non-press members. He's in the water. Where's the water 11? Scoops out there today. Scoops only. He was a very busy day. I think he only made a pretty weak ass one, one phone call. Dispatcher was pretty out of press with it, with the, with the, the output today. We might, we might prank calls from Scoops. We might bin the Scoops bit for today. We'll come back hot and heavy tomorrow. Any spiel or no? I think similar. I think he was, he was twisted and not starting to get that candy bar today. It was the hardest. I've ever worked to watch golf. It was like, dude, I'm not going to go run for a phone back right now. This is just, this is just, I'm at be forced to do it. I don't have it. Uh, guys, Sam Burns played really freaking good golf. I think Bogey free 68. I think a lot of people, including big Randy had maybe not considered him to be a legitimate threat. Uh, came right out of the gates, birdie one and two. But like I said, played Bogey free golf, great birdie to 11 as Rory was hooking it in the water. Uh, and then birdie down 13. I mean, just nuke the ball off the tee playing extremely sensible golf with the irons putting well, no surprise there. Uh, T C. I mean, just impressive stuff from Burns. I was, I, I give Sam Burns a ton of credit. I think the only shot that I was a little bit stunned by was maybe the second shot in the 13. Um, but then he, you know, he had a okay chip and then, and then made a pot. There, um, he plays fast. He's, he's hitting the shit out of it off the tee. Um, he just seems like, like there was, there was a really good quote from Trevor coming down the stretch too of like, I think, you know, Burns just seemed like he just wanted to be out there enjoying it. And like, he wasn't scared of the moment. He wasn't like he was, he was ready for it. And he was present too, I think. And, and, um, yeah, like, I, like we've never really give, you know, I think, you know, we've never really given Sam Burns his flowers. And I'll give him his flowers today. I think he hasn't earned it in fairness. Two top 10s in 22 career. No, totally. But even when he wins, I feel like it doesn't get us excited. It doesn't make us feel anything. Um, but I don't know. I just, I like what the guy's putting on tape. Right. He's like birdie on 11 today. As Rory's doing all of that stuff is, is awesome. You know, and then, and then yeah, just, just played smart golf. Did what he had to do and kept himself in this thing. He's one of those guys. I was just like, with like, there's a lot going on with Rory and I, as much as people were into Cam young, no one was into Sam Burns. I mean, just multiple holes that I was finding this when Rory's done, people are moving on and ready to go and up and moving. And he did not let any of that phase him at any moment. I mean, Rory finishes out on 15 and it's like, boom, like seats clapping. And you know, everybody's getting up and going and it just, he was completely unfazed by all that. So even more credit to him on that. Maybe this is like lazy, lazy connection or lazy take or whatever. But I don't think he'd be best friends with Scotty without having like somewhat of a similar disposition. You know, he seems pretty un, unbothered by a lot of stuff. He's played really well at us opens the last two years. I think that speaks to being pretty unbothered. He just bothered by everything except for casual water. I was just saying a decent cash for water ruling. Thank you. A decent ruling and he might have won the US open last year. So, uh, yeah. And he's just, he's one of the, I saw him at pebble. I remember this like distinctly hitting a shot on, I forget where it was, maybe 10 and just watching the way he flights the ball and the way he, like he plays real golf and seeing that in person was a good reminder of just like, Oh my God, I haven't watched this guy enough. And he just seems like, I don't know if he's going to win tomorrow. I don't know if he's going to win a major. I don't know if whatever, but he has one and he has that trajectory of a player that, you know, it takes quite a few like knocks on the door before it actually happens. You know, you think about someone like, I don't know, Xander, um, you guys are giving him grace, but you're not giving what grace or other guys. Uh, well, yeah. I don't know if Sam versus quite bottled it, but part of that is, you know, not really being in a position. Yeah. I don't, don't you horn Ludwig into this. We're talking, we're trying to give same words. I'm just, I'm just, I'm just got to call it out in the moment when it's, when you guys want to talk about those. I don't think they're the same level of player. I think that's, that's the kind of, that's the comment on Ludwig is like, dude, you're kind of supposed to be this guy. But Ludwig's paired with Brian Campbell tomorrow. Oh my God. And if he doesn't win that heads up, I might cancel Ludwig. Oh yeah. I was going to say, I feel like you need to, you might need to put some skin in the game on that one. We'll do that conversation Monday night. T C. Exactly. Uh, I mean, I think we got to probably talk about Scotty 65, uh, as well. That seemed to get the people, the people going pretty epic front nine from Scotty, uh, Eagles to birdie seven and eight, uh, lips out that approach shot on nine. Like he very well almost hold that from the fairway ends up making Birdie there shoots 31 on the front nine, his best ever nine holes at the end of the season. I think he's the best ever nine holes at Augusta national. I think any, any time you're talking about the two time champion, you say that's the best nine holes he's ever played. That's notable. Uh, stuffs it at 11, uh, at, at that time, I know there were a couple birdies after this, but there were more bogies than pars when he came through on, on 11. Uh, and he ended up making Birdie there. Uh, wild that he still hasn't buried 13 or 15 this week. That's crazy. Uh, you got something on that. Low key struggles on that holes. Yeah. Like two and eight in the, the par-fives in the front. Historically, he absolutely cleans up on those holes and for whatever reason, he does not play the back nine nearly as well. And especially 13 and 15, he is, uh, right? Just the two shots that are just like, all right, who's the best iron player in the world? And he just, it's crazy that he, uh, he doesn't seem to show up on those, but birdie 16 hits a, uh, another awesome shot into 17. That was kind of like that 14 hole location a little bit where, where guys are feeding really cool shots in there, but can't convert. Uh, and then has to punch out on, on 18 and just hits a awesome little tidy wedge from, I don't know what that was a hundred yards or something, but hits it up there to three feet and kicks it in, shoot 65 career, low 18 holes, career, low nine and career, low 18 for Scotty. Uh, like I said earlier, there's two shots better than anyone else with the irons today. Uh, two shots better than second place, I should say. He was like 11 shots better than Keegan. Who was, who was the worst in the field. Feeding somebody by 11 with your irons is that's a heady, heady stuff. And shoot and swatted the first question of his presser. I believe it was, uh, Jason Sobel, who will always, you know, take these things and stride and usually with good humor, but he, he asked him what, what could or should that round have been because it was just, you know, the, the textbook definition of ball striking and he, he didn't quite get everything out of it. Some would say, uh, and Scotty just hit him with like, uh, that's, that's a terrible question. Awful. That next question, next topic, uh, which was great. He ended up coming back to it a little bit later in the presser, but, uh, it's good stuff. I love everything about what I just said there about Scotty swat the, swat the press conference question included the, uh, Keegan shot 73. It's not like Keegan shot like 80 today. Right. 11. Yeah. It's crazy. What do you guys think Scotty is in this golf tournament right now? Yeah. He's four back. I think he is. Yeah. Well, I mean, today was all you needed to see. Yeah. Everything I said about today, everything I said yesterday, Sally was predicated on Rory shooting 68 today. Like I thought I've for sure 69 was like his floor today, the way that he was swaggering around. And, uh, obviously I was, I was wrong. I'm dumb. You're smart. You know, you're not handsome. I'm not attractive. Yeah. Keep going. If you want, but no, I don't remember the rest of the line. So I'm going for, I think it, it, it. So anyway, sorry, he's four back. Yes. I think he's in the golf. It, it has taken me a lot of masters to like fully embrace and understand and accept the uncertainty that this golf course provides of like when you need a birdie, some of these holes have to just be looking incredibly enticing. Like, Oh, I'm absolutely going to birdie it. And when you only need a par, it probably just looks like the hardest hole in the world. And you just never know what's going to happen. You start out hot. That does not mean you're going to stay hot. You start out horrible. That does not mean you're going to stay horrible. Play great round two. Does not mean you're going to play great round three. There's the maximum amount of uncertainty on this golf course. And like I said last night, if it, if you had a six shot lead at a run amic at the halfway point, I'd have been like over, like we don't, this is, he's not, you know, there's not enough uncertainty. In what's remaining here with the remaining 36. And it's, it's awesome. Like I just, I'm so giddy for tomorrow. We are queued up for potentially one of the best masters we've seen the last 10 years. And Scotty should have, I mean, he didn't birdie three today. Like you get a good look there. I just, I think there's, there's, there's a lot of low hanging fruit for Scotty to continue to cause way back in this thing. Well, you had. Yeah. Yeah. I guess I'm up two minds cause on one, on one hand, I'm like, man, it seems like he just needs to catch the scent, right? And just like get back, you just get out of the, the quote unquote slump, which is, you know, him finishing like 18th or whatever he's been doing. But I guess he kind of had that a pebble, you know, he had that final round. It was at 62 out of pebble that day. And I thought maybe that was going to be a little bit of a snap out of it. Snap out of it, get right sort of situation. And the scuffling's kind of continued, but maybe today was, was the day that'll kind of break this, this horrible, horrible, horrible curse that he finds himself stuck in. It's got a lot of work to do. It's going to probably need to be another 65. He's going to, he's going to need a good day. So I, I'm sorry guys. Oh, I didn't see that. I didn't see that developing. That thing was, I think it was that play was developing for like the last 12 seconds to God. I just threw, I threw a seeded there. TC just, just outed at the wrong time. He's going to need a good day. If you want to make it a good day, maybe grab the all new high noon day pack, the new variety APAC is going to be available year round. Don't beat yourself up. Come on. It's a custom man. You can bounce back. That's right. Birdie the next is going to be available all year round to keep the sun shining. I'm a good times rolling crafted with real vodka and real juice. The high noon day pack brings together pear, cranberry, tangerine and peach, the perfect combo of light, bright, delicious flavors for a blue sky day. This is the last one in my, in my fridge. I actually need to go pick up a day pack tomorrow. So look forward to that. Visit high noon spirits.com to find a pack near you. High noon suns up. Sorry, TC. What are you going to say? No, I was just going to say, I think he needs a, probably an eagle early to really like make it happen on two or some fireworks on, on three and then steal one, you know, one of four, five, six. Yeah. And I think that, that kind of gets him back to two or three. Cause even today, like you saw it with, with, with rows, you saw it to a lesser extent with read, even saw with wind them at times of like, if you know what, like, if you can just plant the seed of doubt and get, let's say you're three, four, five holes ahead of these guys and you make an eagle on eight or you, or you know, you steal one on, on five or something like that. Like you get these guys thinking cause I think, like, I mean, like all day, I thought Rose was just going to get left in the dust and he's, he's three shots back. He played such a bad ass round of golf today. Three days. That was just talking about a pitcher that just did not have his stuff today. Rose, Rose didn't have it. Couldn't buy one. And he somehow finished with bogey free 69. Like it was just, it's just locating sliders. It's like crazy man. It's just, just, yeah, it's just like singers just throwing ground ball somehow. Just getting, making guys get themselves out. You know, it was just, oh, it was awesome. But he had maybe my favorite shot of the day, just a filthy, disgusting up and down on four from, from long left that was just like the hardest shot I've ever seen. And he bumps one through there up to stone dead, tap in a big, big ass birdie on 13 to kind of stay alive. Way too much club on four. Sure. He knew that was a green light spot. Of course I could get up from down from back there. Cool moment. If you go back and watch this birdie putty curls in on three, as soon as he pulled, poured in, he like points immediately at Fooch and Fooch was pointing right back at him. Like Fooch had the read on that one. Like I saw them working on it, but I didn't, you guys, you can't hear what they're saying, but it was like Fooch had the read on it and Rose immediately recognized it as soon as it went in the hall. I thought that was cool. I think I'd venue Venmo a pretty significant amount of money to anybody who could put a master cut together of some of his post shot antics from, from this week. Cause I feel like they're always cutting away from a little bit every time at, right as they're kind of fading out, he's pointing at the crowd. He's putting the hands, he's, he is being, you know, call them a thespian. Well, Neil might've called them a thespian. I think it's thespian. Uh, last night, uh, and it's, it's just that continued today. That was, that was excellent. I was pretty, I thought if he makes the pot on 14 and 15. Yeah. But the one on 14 was like, man, if he makes that, I feel like it's, it's game on, uh, he's been struggling with the drives this week on some of like the, on 14, on 17, on one, uh, on some of the par fours. And like, I thought he had a cool shot on 17, like up and over those trees, like really high, got it to the great distance control, whole high J Rose. And, uh, and then really good lag putt there on that one. Um, cause that one looks that, that green in particular looks pretty crispy. I think Jordan needs to reinvent himself as Justin Rose. Yes. In terms of like consistency, ball flight controlled to control your golf ball and not like trying to do a 1440 every time you're entering the half pipe. Like, like just watch the routine, the ease at which Justin Rose plays and gets the absolute most out of his game. It's, it's immense. It's, it's institutional knowledge. He's like, he has duct taping it together with like, on a day like this, like he played really good golf the first two days, but on a day like this, it's like, he doesn't have it and it doesn't matter. And that's, that's the most in a way that's like some of the most exciting golf to watch. Let me throw this at you. Strokes game, tea to green, uh, for the week here. This is a number one, Scotty Scheffler, number two, Cam, Cam Young, number three, 45 year old Justin Rose, just like absolutely making it happen. You have any idea how much recovery is going on? I know he's got to be just completely wiped man. Um, this was, this was circling a little bit this week. I may have seen this before I tweeted this earlier, but this was not accounting this week. Justin Rose had finished rounds at Augusta in the top five 21 times, 21 times. He like finished a round, like went to bed as like, I'm in the top five, enter the golf course tomorrow. It's insane. Danny back to 2004. It was first and second round leader in 2004. Man, it's, it's, it's a great. Yeah. Fantastic. Uh, so it sounds like you got our beautiful boy, Neil. Is that right back from the course? I do. I don't know if he needs a second to get situated here. He's, he's, uh, he's ready to join us here. Welcome, Mr. Neil. Give us a second. Sure. Hold on to us. Hey, Neil. How are we doing, man? I can't hear you. Hold on. Oh, gentlemen. How's it going? Uh, it goes well. Turn it up. We want a little action here, dude. Oh man. What a hot one out there. I feel like I got a little seasick. I mean, the crowd was up. It was down. No one knew how to react at Amen corner. It was intense. Give me a, I mean, just give me a, I don't know, word, a sentence. How'd you, how are you summing it up today? Um, I don't know. Um, turbulent, I think turbulent. I, I, I walked up. So I kind of got, I was following Reed and, and Rose and, you know, P almost made me stroke out on three. He's just feeling it. And then, uh, big roar, you know, Lowry, the sum of all fears for Randy holes out and I was like, man, I'm, I might pass out. There's just too much going on. Shaky, shaky Oppenheimer photo or just all like, what have I done? That's who's that Lowry ace went in. But, uh, P and, and Rose, they were, what a round from Justin Rose, but it was almost like watching an accountant. Yeah. It was like Ben Affleck in the account. He's like doing the numbers on the walls. Yeah. It's really impressive, but it wasn't really exciting. I was like, I got to go find some action. So I see Cam Young, I caught him, I went over to 13 and, and he looked just totally in control. Um, and then I ended up, I, I come around the corner. I went to the bathroom. Totally in control. After he bounced on off the tree. Well, I just saw him in the fairway, like, and he hit, hit one to Senator Green made bird. I was like, man, this guy's looks unstoppable. And then he made bird out of 14. I didn't see the drive. So I come out of the bathroom. I walked down left of the bleachers on 11 and I just see Rory in the drop zone. And I'm like, oh, look what we found here. And, and Deej will love this. Some guys like, Hey, why is it? Why is it? He dropping it over by he rolled in. I was like, well, he, he does always have an option to use the draw the drop. I believe he probably likes the angle a little bit better over here. No, no, no, I'll say don't interrupt. Like what, what, what were his options that he could do there? Can you walk us through this? Well, they could have replayed it. Okay. From where he was. I don't even know where he was always an option to 222 middle of the fairway off the tree drop zone. Yep. Or on the line with the flag and the, where the ball went in. No closer to the hole. No closer to the hole. So he couldn't have dropped it right there on the bank. Yes. Yeah. And he couldn't have dropped it at like the top of the hill and taken and put five yards back on it. Correct. Like a cat. No, couldn't do that. So, uh, man, bro just put the left miss and play then on 12. Uh, and so it's interesting the most and I don't want this to come across wrong, but if you're going to find casual fans, I feel like at Augusta, they're going to be an aiming corner. And because it does, it becomes a little bit more social out there, the golfs far away. And I just got this sense, you know, yeah. And I just got the sense that people didn't know how to react. They just like, oh my God, that's for, he just made double. Now he just made bogey. Like, wait, this is supposed to be a crown. Like what's going on? And so then I walk up the hill of 14 and I finally, I completed the, the, the bleachers cycle. I sat in the last bleacher. I sat in a bleacher on 14. Congrats. I was going to ask you to power right all the bleachers, but maybe we'll do that tomorrow. Do you have a candy bar up there? No. I missed that. Tomorrow. We'll get tomorrow. Are you serious? There's not going on out there. Come on. Uh, no, I sat the bleachers on 14 and I will say this. If you are going to the masters, uh, great, great place to watch golf. It's kind of an, you can see a full view of the green from all sides. This is which 14. This is not even the grandstand, just 14. Not a lot of people go to 14. If you want to see a lot of golf shots, I would recommend going to 14. You'll miss some of the action on the famous holes, but you will see a ton of golf. And, uh, the news is like 10 minutes later, I get up there. Everybody knows what's going on in the bleep. You know, like some guys like, Oh yeah, Rory's still at 11. It's like, no, he's not. You know, and then I guess he's making that just having a walk about on 13. Uh, so, you know, you just kind of waiting for him to come through. And then he hit such a bad wedge into 14 and got crowned there. Really coming, coming down the hill. And then he just kind of bails himself out. I mean, if I was going to give Rory a credit and he deserves a lot of it because he, he, uh, Righted the ship. He, a lot of runners on base stage, he got big strikeouts when he needed it. Like, Oh man, 14 was a big strikeout. Only one, one, he gave up four runs in one inning, but he only gave up four runs for the day. Only three were earned. Like there was an error in there. Yeah. I mean, but he, that was such a big 14. But it was a pick off. Yeah. So, and then 15, 15 was just really good golf. I thought that was, uh, the four, and that's why that putt on 14, just turn a kit man. And then he hit a great drive hit a, just a really, really, really, really good shot into 15. And I didn't see how close that putt was to going in. Uh, really good. Yeah. Good putt, but yeah, yeah, not didn't lip out or anything like that. But it's all what you were saying earlier about, um, you know, this golf course and you see some shots and you're like, Oh my God, this is a place to pin the years back and you see some shots. You're like, this is the hardest shot ever. I think about it like a shot like that, that seven iron into 15, a high draw has to be such a get right shot. I mean, there's a literally, it's a carbon copy of some of the, maybe three times now where it's just like, Oh, that has to be the moment. We're just like, all right. The last two hours haven't been awesome, but like, Oh, this shot. Yeah. This one I got, you know, and it just, uh, you know, 16 when he's got that left miss go into a right pin. It was kind of like, well, that one's not going to be, there's, of course, that's going to be down low there. And then 17 struggles a little bit, but I just think that was him being able to see that shot in that moment had to be massive. But it's again, I feel like I say this every night on this show, every, every time that I sit up on the bleach on 15, like you got to, you want, I mean, you watch like seven, eight other guys hit the shot. Like you watch even Sam Burns, the shot come in and like land a little too far on it, which is not as much height as Roy puts on it. And it bounds over the green. And like Shane Lowry goes in the water trying to get hit on there. Suddenly tops in the water. Like it's really hard to describe how, how, have you seen it? Will you pull it up and watch it? It's so sick. He hit it in the creek on 13 too. They did 13, 15. The chimney shoot, you got to send that down the actual, like the drive, the distance you got to drive it first. The descent angle you got to have on the ball and the distance control to land that in the right spot and have it look that easy. It like, it's what makes it one of the great lift, Miss Tess golf shots. Yeah. Oh, no, that thing was like, let's get into the center. Oh, I'm into the water. And then that's working in there. God, that's tough to see. Can I say this though? I, I'm going to go and call it giraffe player. Not Rory. I, he's winning tomorrow. I saw the drive on 14, the drive on 15, the drive on 18. I know he had a left one on 17, but just, and then the iron into 18, like, I think he gets it right. Like I felt like he righted the ship off the tee down the stretch on the back nine. I do not think Rory choked today. And I, and even if he did not go on to win, I do not think this is a Rory choke. There was a classic Chris Solomon. Like yesterday's thinking I never could have. I'm back. Like I'm never going to miss another fairway. Like we've all been there, man. He was, I just, I found it, man. I totally, that's how he started that press. I was given hundreds of thousands of dollars a youth on course. He's handed out money to the kids. I'm just, I might never, I might never shoot in the seventies again. And you know, it's like, ah, that's going to cost you. You got any other tournaments you want me to shit on real quick? Oh yeah. That tournament sucks too. Do you think you're intimidating Roy? No, I mean guys, let's say I'm going to be 30. He also shot 37 on the back nine today. Like I don't want to put two rose color to glasses on it. Neil, I've never wanted you to get hurt worse than tomorrow. What do you mean? Physically with bro just like, I, like, I want you to, like, if he collapses, like after you saying this tonight, you're like, oh, he's absolutely. No, I just don't, I don't think he's going to, I think he's going to win tomorrow. I really do. I think he come like, there's, based on the two previous rounds, I know that we were talking this morning, the sustainability models didn't look good when you're 90th and driving accuracy, but that's kind of what I'm saying. I feel like he found it a little bit with driver and then he'll get that. Like it's like, let me see the irons. Yeah, we'll see that back. Careful. That's, this was my entire working philosophy last night was like, oh, he'll figure what's it? He can't drive the ball. He'll figure that out. That's not that big a deal. That was a big deal. He had to expend today. And also cam, I like who's more got more confidence on planet earth right now than cam young. Well, so are you guys picking cam? I don't know. We haven't got to that part of the show yet. It was decided. It must be there. I think I might just be in a pick in both of them in some way and like, but separate them out by like 30 minutes and hope nobody notices. All right. Should we do who's lingering? Should we do lingering loitering? Yeah, let's do that. All right. This is ripe for that. We should do how far back is too far back and lingering. All right. So cam young and Rory are tied at 11 Sam Burns at, at minus 10. Uh, Neil lingering or loitering? I don't think Sam Burns is going to win, but I, I, I got to give a ton of credit. He played really good today. I thought he, uh, that, you know, that's a big spot for, uh, for Bermuda Burns and just keeping it together all parsed on the stretch. That's good stuff. T.C. had a great point. You know, Bermuda coming through hotter again. So more of that Bermuda pop. Can I say T.C. I don't know if you popped off on the, the setup. I love less on 15 and 17 green was springy. Uh, the two firmest greens on the floors. Max is talking about that in his post round. He's like, I think trying very hard not to, I don't know, just reading the transcripts. I don't want to read too much into it, but he was very much like the whole course is like all the greens are very soft except for a couple that are crazy firm, uh, which is, which is interesting. I think, but yeah, a lot of guys are kind of walking up to the line and being like, yeah, like even Adam Scott was like, yeah, I just wasn't expecting. Yeah. So we don't have to get into that now lingering, loitering, you know, uh, anyone else? I will say, uh, Sam Burgess lingering. He can absolutely win the, he can win the golf tournament. I'm not saying that he will, but I thought that was loitering. He's got bad intention. I hate this. Yeah. Sorry. You're right. You're right. You're right. I'm like, just chatty. Yeah. It's not on your ear. It's like, I mean, it's kind of lounging. They got a baseball bat. It's bad. I got to go with my gut. A lot of people have baseball bats today, Neil. Sure. Actually tonight it could be lingering loitering or looting. Looting. Your guy, uh, dub was absolutely looting the place for a while. He was literally almost made an ace on number, on number three. Jesus. I ended up making an eagle. I think what did, uh, cattle on set was like the 20th eagle ever made there or something. Uh, played his last eight holes in three over though. TC was, he was preaching patients. He said, God, we get, we simply have to trust. We have to trust the process here and let him see his way out today. I think we may have, we may have dodged it, but we'll see tomorrow. Uh, Shane Lowry lingering, loitering or potentially looting. Shane Lowry's gotten better every day. I think he's 70 69 68. I think we've seen some of the most historic bottles, uh, ever. The, in recent memory for, from him, I just, I think we're going to need to be, I think we're guilty until proven innocent. God, the people, the people love Shane out there. I just need Mr. Big to know that you might be on the, he's on, he's on the wrong side of that. According to the patrons. Uh, Jason day 68 today. I think, I think day is, is right in the thick of this thing. I just can't see that happening. I, I, I think you're both right. And also I have a hard time seeing it. I, I, I don't know the last time I had 16 and if he doesn't bogey 16, he's, but he always did bogey 16. He always does that. He did have a bad shot. I just can't think of the last time I'm just like, oh, that guy's, I think that guy's a real threat to witness tournament, which famous last words. Maybe who knows, you know how I feel about all the bird stuff. He's not really wearing the bird stuff, which is troubling. It looks awesome out there though. Like he, he looks clean. He looks like such a throwback. The tour visors looks so good. Yeah. Well, I can't believe I'm saying this. That's the way that mountain stuff started with him. Call balls and strikes. Yeah. It looks great. Uh, Justin Rose on the 40th anniversary of Jack Nicholas's. Win at 46, like just loitering like a, yes, MF. Nicholas did never recovery trailer. Never recovery. Imagine if he did. Yeah. Oh, he free today. It wasn't. Are you playing this red light? Uh, it was, it was, uh, sorry. Just one thing on Rose on three, you know, he bad chip up on three. We were standing there and made that putt. We, we, we cut the point. Just the, the Thesbian just, just give him, yeah, come on. Thesbian baby. Yeah. No B. No, we're steered into that one. Uh, yeah, we are. Yeah. Scotty Shaffler, Scotty Shaffler. I think he's in it. I think he's absolutely in it. He's got a, yeah, he's got a, one of those baseball bats with spikes on the end just clanking around on the concrete. That's the line of demarcation for me. I think that's right. Yeah. Cause I don't think how Tong's in it. God, I wish he was though. It's the year of the horse though. We do have to give, give how Tong his flowers, give him his flowers for bouncing back off the mat, off the bathroom floor, uh, getting into, into that position. Um, our friends at who posted his, his 1% recovery, which was, which was great. The ball ballsy all white outfit today. What a round from Henley. I didn't see that. Yeah. Yeah. And we can't, they paired together tomorrow might be kind of a pace of play. That was one thing out of my notes. Pace stunt there on middle of the back nine. I was, there were murmurs in the, in the gallery in the patrons weren't happy. Not good. So I think the patron shouldn't be happy about me. Can't listen to 6766 the last two days. We're trying to do a 77 start. No, I turned the wrong way. I ran the wrong route as well. Tc. I'm just, just like you. It's not, it was trying to give how Tong Lee is flowers. Uh, speaking of flowers, you know, a subtle dog is calling your name just in time for Azalea season. Uh, Robax Azalea collection is here. Fresh prints, clean colors, just enough spring energy to make this think this is to make you think this is finally your year, Neil, the classic Azalea print plus new designs to fit whatever you need. You know how much we love the row back layering. They just introduced their new highlands hoodie. We talked about this the other night. No draw strings, great stretch. Just a, just a great piece, great golf hoodie. They also have the lightweight vest. Randy was shouting out their Brookline vest, really nice stretch two pockets on that one. Uh, if you're building for the, the 2026 rotation, Robax got you covered in whatever you need. I just got some new pants. I'd never gotten the Delta pants before. Oh my gosh. I know. Are you serious? They're so good. I know first ones. I'm thrilled. I can't wait to go wear them and play some G. Uh, head to rowback.com RHO, BACK.com and use code NLU for 20% off your first order through the end of this week. Shout out to rowback. Shout out to flowers. Shout out to solid for trying to set me up for that ad read and shout out to who are we talking about? Patrick Cantley. Uh, TC your boy, Patrick Cantley. We're you're talking about how you were talking about how in this flower, the 77, 67, 66, the last three days started ball striking it started hitting some greens, you know, I don't, uh, I don't know. That's pretty damning for that's exhibit A. Your office is one of those. You know what? I don't need to talk about the setup. Cantley's telling you everything you need to know about the setup right there. Patrons were a buzz on that. Like, man, I was having fun, but Cantley just had two good back to back rounds. I think it's 77, 67, 66. I wonder what changed. Interesting. It's tough for Tommy TC. Yes. It's about to get tougher. Um, I saw something today. Nice. Saw something today on nine. Um, Tommy was in the left bunker. Uh, Shane was short right of the green. Backstopping. Shane chipped it just past, uh, location. Shane is midway through the ninth green, like in stride on his way, says something. Couldn't tell what he said, uh, but like clearly it's like, and to go Mark and Tommy called him off from Mark and the ball. So stand out, Shane. Stand out and stand by this. I'm going to, I'm going to have to bring it up with Tommy. Individual. I made, I made. Are we going to go over that? Get offline and, uh, in the words, I may have to call Steven Schwartzman and the infamous words of Joe Buck when Randy Moss tried to move the crowd. It's disgusting. Uh, but that was not the only one of those I saw today. Uh, also had to report on the second hole. Uh, when Rory was over in the left, uh, rope line, Sam Burns had hit his shot in there was in this on his way up to, you know, it was just, his ball was just past the hole and I shot in there on his way to go market. And Rory also called him off of doing that. So, well, Sam should have sped up there and say, it sounds like this might be a European issue. There's two Europeans that, that called guys off from, from marking it, which you wouldn't expect to see. But you know, when, when the prizes is, uh, you know, as valuables, a green jacket, some acting outside of the character, it was, it was tough to see. I just have to call it like I see it. And I really hope I don't run into Fino tomorrow. Cause, uh, if Mike Pence has the courage, I think care of this tomorrow. Uh, I'm going to kind of dump some random notes. Is that okay? I just wrote this down. It is insane that one of these counts. The same as Valhalla. Like it's absolutely insane that both of those are just major championships. Uh, it could not be more polo opposite. That's a drive-by. I know. Uh, but, uh, I had to get that one in there. That's not a drive-by. That's a targeted. Was it assassination? We talked about this on Mike or was this before about Roy scald wedge on 13? I don't think we have talked about that yet. Uh, so we, we didn't really talk about that, but he has hit it, I think all three days. Right. He's hit it in that same way, right off the tee. Uh, kind of death zone over there in the first couple of days, he's punched out and been okay today. Weird punch out. Were you standing there for that? Did he hit one of the pieces of like wrought iron that holds the road? They, they were working for a long time to get the gallery moves. The gallery can kind of come between 14 and 13 there. It's a really good spot, but it's a thin area and they were trying to move everybody back, but at the same time, Rose and Reed were teeing off on 14. So they couldn't send people across the cross. There's just nowhere for those people to go. So it took forever. They finally move them back and they take down all the ropes and he punches it out. Sure enough, his ball hits one of the metal rods and pops it straight up in the air. And he ends up on like a patch of grass. I think that was like some of the thicker Overseed out there. And I don't know what happened, but he just came out of the shot and he equated it. I mean, he hit the middle of it, came out of a completely different window than any other shots. I had seen come from there and like, I think people thought it was a skipper that was going to get to the top and check. And it had absolutely no check. He went over the green, got it up and down for par, but that was, that was one of the uglier shots. Sorry, real quick. I took goose off my young girl into the, to the chipping area. Today in the driving, yeah, driving range. And I was in the bunker and I equated one and I one hopped it into a dude. And like across the green, it was, it was probably 40 yards or whatever, but like one hops into him. And this guy, you know, all this guy's buddy, he's like, Oh, you know, like I yelled for and all that stuff. This guy's buddy's like, Hey man, you got to be a good player if you're going to be hitting in that bunker. And I was like, Oh, I'm going to be a good player. I'm going to be a good player. I'm going to be a good player. I'm going to be a good player. I'm going to be a good player. This guy's buddy's like, Hey man, you got to be a good player if you're going to be hitting in that bunker. I literally just like picked up my shit. You know, there's stats. They're all world class. I was like, trying to teach goosey how to, cause, cause cause I wanted me to take him to PG. Now watch the strats. This morning, goosey. Now we're at PG at a superstore at 9am this morning, buying him a quote, Sam, which, cause he wanted a sandwich. He, and that's a sand wedge and I'm teaching him how to use it out of the bunkers and stuff. And I just going out, I picked my shit up so quick and I'll see you later. Thanks guys. That shows how fast it can change. Think about where TC's game was, you know, a year, just a year ago. Oh my God. He was the links master. Unbelievable. Champion golf for the year. Equatoring it. Listen, it can happen to anybody. Sure. Um, so I drew breeze. That was a new setting hadn't seen him yet. I want to point out the lady on 16 that's getting in all the shots is actively choosing a worse seat just to get in the camera shot. Like she's off to the left. She's not even centered on the box. Like she's, I know, but I just, I'd never seen the actual spot where she's sitting and realized that it's like off centered. That's why I think that guy needs to take her spot. That guy was back today. He's not the guy that's like, he's like, he's like, good two rows back. The guys are just like, Oh yeah. Yeah, that's good stuff. I got yours all over these. He's tracking that guy closely. I got a few solid. I saw a golf of Mexico shirt, which is kind of a weird place for a group of political political, like golf of Mexico just felt like a political golf. Yeah. Golf. Like the Mexican golf association. Yeah, I can see. It was just the general like just a golf of Mexico, like just shouting out the golf of Mexico. Just, yeah, just had golf of Mexico in words. That was that was on the shirt. Did see a really tough scene had stick. It was a big golf of America. Yeah. Yeah. Big golf. P town. That was the worst big letter hat I saw like pound town is what it looked like to my perverted, you know, perverted eyes. But P town. Did it have a vowel? Yeah, it did. W. No, I'd had the W the O in it. So David Duvall hadn't I don't and seen any of him wasn't quite positive while he was there. Dottie's got walking sticks going out there. That was in my great, great stuff. No, I'm not making fun at all. Like she's like she's got me problems and she's one of the hardest working people in golf and she's out there out there doing it. I just want to shout that out. Walk in that. It's a great vibe. She's just like slow and steady with the sticks. It's good. Dottie's been. Dottie's been great. She's she's been on it. She's been great. Just a couple shots to go back and watch if you want to piece bunker shot on to that was that was immense. You mentioned Rory shot on six his second shot there. That was fantastic. Obviously we had the ace Rafa Nadal. The other things he was wearing holding us in born were not positive on that. But I do. And I want to give Rafa. He was absolutely just man of the people. I mean, I'm not sure if he's been on it. He was absolutely just man of the people following Rory like step for step like not not skipping holes, wrapping around for going the long way to five. I mean, I was like, man, this guy's in it for for all 18. It looks like so impressive stuff. That's pretty much all I got. All right. I got a couple things for you. T.C. What a what a story I got for you. So I'm on four 10 left of 14 and Lady J walks up and she's with not Dave Pells. Oh, no, the son. That's Eddie Pells. That's who he's working with. Yeah, Eddie Pell, big Eddie Pells is kind of walking with her. She's got on the tassel golf shoes black and white like bowling shoes. Was it like a rodeo chic today? I heard it was kind of Mr. I'll say yesterday she had the fanny pack on all black. Just yeah, over in the trees. A few people came up. She was kind of holding court. She was big Eddie introduced a few people to her. So I was trying to I was trying to keep my distance. Cody, I got out of though. I got the no-lamp in the hat. She could tell I was kind of I was trailing her. So I had to I had to duck out of there. But she she was out there, you know, just keep him watch. I wanted you to know that as always. Wish she could have gotten him over the line a little bit better. He was kind of undone. I think four and five were tough, but missing missing to that right pin on 10. That's that's that was a death sentence. It was just yeah, disappointing. Round from P. I was a movie trapezoid four. I was hoping we get get the Rory P. Final group. Cam Young's a good a good option. What else I see? I saw two separate guys smoking pipes. Yeah, let's see a lot of pipes. I saw one in the back of 15. Is that where you saw it? No, 17 and yeah. And and 13 of guys just enjoying a pipe, which I thought was something. Party dog loves it. Love's a like a tobacco wooden pipe. He bought one in Italy and he just busted out at random times. It's great. Cody, I don't know. Cody had his corn cob pipe. He told me he used to bring with him on on deployments, I believe. Take that offline to a booth episode. Was that General MacArthur Cody did that something like that? Yeah, I'm getting a nod. I think he does. Yeah. Oh, and I was wondering, you know what? There's bid number 91 this week. I think it's a good one. I think it's a good one. I think it's a good one. There's bid number 91 this week. Jordan Spieth. Really? Yeah. Maybe the last guy on the property didn't like that. Was it Tommy that was 90? I think that's right. Yeah. So I was like, I was like tracking the bid numbers thinking about when that first course, but speed being 91. I just don't like any of that. Yeah. Yeah. And it's just a really electric start from P. Just not a lot of sound effects. Ludwig was 90. No, that's right. We saw him on the first tee. He's not not beloved by the crowds. Even if he's beloved by T.C. and us here, it's not. That's going to take. That's going to take a while for the rest of the rest of people to catch up. I think he's going to continue his apology tour. Yeah. He's really at home for everything he's done so well, but people haven't caught up on it. Well, he's going to play the president's cup. Hopefully he goes down and he plays Kingston Heath this year in the, the, the Australian open. I think if he keeps taking these steps, I think he's going to be able to take these steps. I think he's going to be embraced. Can I, can I be a hundred percent sincere? And you could, you could say fool me a hundred times. Shame on me, but I feel like P is matured a little bit genuinely. Like I've listened to a lot of his press conferences, both I, even going back to the, the live stuff, honestly, like he, I think is mellowed out. I think he's a little less like aggressive, a little less defensive, a little more thoughtful. I think I have genuinely enjoyed listening to him on a variety of different platforms. So I totally agree. I think that's going to flip. I think the, like he's always been known as like treating his playing. Like guys don't mind playing with him. He's, he's, he's nice to people. I just have a lot of weirdos around him. Yeah. I think that's, that's truly a big part of it. I think McGinley had a really good point on, on live from last night too, where he said he loves to play golf. Like he likes to play events. He likes to play like he likes to turn up and he plays a big schedule. And I'm stoked to see that carry through like once you can get back on the PGA tour. Cause I think having, having P having Brooks, like I, I just felt a big sense of satisfaction last night of, you know, I was, I was listening and I'm like, man, like we've gotten some of the characters back and I feel like we've added a few characters here too. And I think hopefully there's some, some characters coming up through the ranks as well, but it just felt like all was right in the world having P involved again in a major. I thought Kevga was, I mean, going to do something today as soon as I saw that shirt, I was like, oh, here we, here we go. That was part of the 71, but T 15, but kind of had to flip it on the back to shoot the 71. I see, I can confirm what you guys were saying about his golf, golf swing in general, like just the way his ball flight looks right now. And like, for some reason I've always had, I've always not, not loved Brooks's swing in the way it looks and it's very stiff. When it's bad and he looks very smooth right now. It looks, yeah, it looks great. I was with you. I would, I would have taken whatever his under. I was expecting bigger things out of that, that whole pairing too. God are up to Gapshub, you know, even par 72 today. Um, yeah. Got a, got a couple of Rory quotes just from, I, I, he very, very much met with the media. It looks like a lengthy, lengthy sesh. So again, apologize. I'm getting new, new cleared there. Uh, someone asked him, what's the biggest difference going into the final round compared to last year? And he said, I'd like to think that I will play a little freer and I'll play, you know, like I've got a green jacket, which I do. Uh, sometimes I just have to remind myself of that. I have, but I think also that the stakes in terms of the pairing will just be a little easier. That's a reference to not playing with Bryson. Uh, you know, the atmosphere out there will be a little easier. Uh, not worried about that. I wish I was a few shots, few shots better off, but I'm comfortable. I played with cam the first two days playing with him again tomorrow. I think it's a comfortable group for both of us. Um, just thought that was interesting. Good quote. Cam, Cam is going to church tomorrow. He said, of course it's going to mass plenty of time. Absolutely. Uh, do we, I mean, is it time for picks? Sure. Do we go down the leaderboard a little bit more? Do we do picks? Uh, if there's anything else you feel just like a legal obligation that, that we have to mention T C. I don't know. I thought more, T 12 great round like 68 today, great round today. I think that's a pretty gritty week. And then we should, like we shit on little baby calling a lot, but. We didn't talk about his pressor yesterday was, was, uh, I think it was yesterday. It was wild. It's like talking about the mental side of like really, not feeling much pain. Uh, but I think he was invoking the, the young lady from, uh, yeah, Bailey Shoemaker from the, uh, on what who was, who was having a hard time pulling the trigger. He's like, he's like, no, it doesn't hurt, but like, I think it might at any time. It's kind of the, that feels like the specter of back pain that just follows people around, but yeah, to grid out at 68 is great. 15. It was, that was fun. And I'm just a bummer. I don't know. I don't know. Just a bummer coming off pebble, right? Like just such a re-ascension, like staring down Scotty, getting it done in an iconic place in a big ass tournament was like, Oh my God, we're going to the players. We're going to the masters. We're going to, and just a bummer to have him be sort of an also ran in those. I thought, um, TCE real quick, just before he continued to go down this, we draw on the line of how far back at the shuffler minus seven. I think that's right. Right thing to do. Yeah. Yeah. I don't think can't lay Henley. That does eliminate P from winning. Yeah. I was eliminated P. I think P eliminated himself today. We're not. Yeah. Luckily he's coming back every year. You know, he did hit God. He hit such a good punch out from the trees on 14. Just he's always scheming though. I want to see P and Jose Maria Olah Thaub will play like play. Just a horse force. Yeah. Yeah. So you up and down contest. Those two in the aggregate might be set. Wow. I might be, might be feeling myself a little too much. I don't think, I don't think Reed is too far back. Five back. Five back of some horses. True. But he could shoot 65 tomorrow. I mean, we might need to shod around the world. Yeah. But there's so many guys in between him and in the lead though too. Yeah. Winning score. He's going to need a bunch of other guys to not shoot 67. Yeah. That can happen. I mean, look how much Scotty gain on everyone today. Winning score is like probability or expectation for data golf is between 11 and 14 under par with 14 under par being 17% chance, 13 under 19% chance. So I mean, yeah, if he shoots 66 that puts him at 12 under, which has, has a chance. But solid your point from earlier, like if Scotty goes out, like Scotty feast on those two par fives on the front, Scotty goes out and starts hunting on those holes. I think it could be, it could be a sweepstakes down the stretch of where like, I think P, P at that point is too far back. I think it's like Sheffler playing against. I think that, that kind of urges Rory into like, Hey, you got to get on your horse here and like pin your ears back. Such an awesome day. It's going to be amazing. Just, just hot take care. I'm not, I'm not trying to debate too much course setup stuff, but what do you think they'll do with the golf course? I think it looks pretty similar to the day. I think so too. They want birdies, Dige. It's, it's, it's the onsite experience. They want roars, baby. Almost every year I'm like, cool, give us that. But I just, again, it's like, we only get this at once every 20 years. It's like, can we lean into it? That was my old frustration, I guess. There is an interesting combo too with, uh, Sean and I were talking with this earlier today, what you guys are out there, but about the, how fast the fairways are moving. Right. With like the fairways being super firm and that just, just having a hair more like, Oh, that can roll into the, the second cut that can roll into the pine straw. I think adds, it adds like another element of like Randy said this perfectly today when Rory was on 17 and on the broadcast or like, Oh, like, there might be a window. Right. He's like, yeah, there's fucking always a window. That's why it goes to rules. Like it's, it's the best. And so getting more of those balls that do creep into the, you know, I might need to hit this one through a window, but also there's a little, it's not totally death. If you miss the fairway is a usually a pretty good combo for this golf tournament. Uh, T.C. I just want to say, I, I don't think that you're frustration with the course. They're not just taking it to the limit is, I think that's very fair. I'm just, my, my thing is on site. I could feel it on Thursday. It's just, you know, it's, it's subdues the place when 15 and 16 and no one's doing anything in the, in the arena and, and it is a bit of like a movie studio. They're like, they need to blow some shit up. We've got to do some stunts. Yeah. Well, that's what it feels like. Where's the CGI? Let's go. I mean, it's such a knee jerk. Wild reaction to Thursday instead of like, all right, like why stress the course out and dry it out so, so much Monday through Thursday, only to do this, you know, I, I feel like there's no, there's no progression. Right. It was just to step back and, and it kind of, and for me, it's not necessarily like, there's some of the holes are, are weirdly soft. Like balls just spinning back on 12 today was tough to see early on. 15. Yeah. And just some of the, I think it just feels a little artificial in spots, I guess, but also, you know, and like, I know they've got the cooling coils under the greens. They've got like, they, everybody's saying they had this place right where they wanted it. And I'm like, well, like, did they, or did they just have to, to really, and like, they're bent greens. It's not, it's not over seated rye on the greens. Like I get that they have to water to keep the rye going and keep the, the Bermuda to totally stop from taking over. But, but man, I just, it just feels like we were primed for something a little bit different or a little bit special this year. And we didn't get that granted. We're getting a great masters or we're getting something great. Which I think is what I know. I know it just doesn't. It's just a different style of test. And like, I'm not asking for that every year. I'm not asking for a U.S. Open to break out. I do think like this place when the ball is on the ground is, is pretty freaking magical. And like there were, there were times on Thursday when it felt like I was watching sandbite golf. And that's what I feel a little bit like that's been taken away from us a little bit. So. Impossible to tell, but it's just worth noting there was some wind on Thursday. Like it wasn't windy, but there was some wind and there's just been nothing the last two days. And there's going to be some tomorrow afternoon. It's not the wind, but I think that that can add a little, just a little bit layer of spice to it. And I think it's like, that's fair that that's kind of, you know, it didn't progress and that's not exactly what you're hoping for. I don't think it butts up against anything anyone has ever said about from the, from the leadership of Augusta, what they're expecting to put out. Right. It's just one thing when like, it just feels a little bit backwards when you see this, this. This is a style of presentation on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. And they know, like the forecast hasn't changed in 10 days. It's been the exact same for like, it was going to be windy Thursday, maybe a little bit of wind on Sunday. And they, they, like normally it's a different, like, I think the whole thing has always been, oh yeah, it's a different golf course from Wednesday into Thursday of like, it's a much, it's so much firmer and they dial it up. And then when, when they're dialing that back so much, I, and I think some of it's just, like, there's just not a lot of fire in the greens. I feel like it's just, there's not a lot of downside risk of, oh, shit, that's a frisky pin and that thing's going 30 yards from the pin off the green. Like, I don't want to see guys playing defense on every hole. That's not what I'm saying. I just want to see a little bit more like, oh yeah, he's fucked over there. Like there's no way to make par from over there. Yeah. Yeah. It's hard to, again, it's hard to tell what you, what you see on TV versus in person. Cause I feel like we've probably seen more bad shit happen in person just cause it's not Taylor made kind of highlight show to say like, well, a takeaway I've had is again, it's just like the appreciation of like what, you know, been rooting for Scotty rooting for, for Jordan at times of like how hard they have made it feel other than Scotty today at times. And then you watch like a guy like P take the course apart the way he has. Dude, yeah, you just went out and earned it. Like they, here's what I'll say is, is clearing the bar from ETC. I don't think anybody's getting away with murder or is getting away with like hitting bad shots and it's, and there's no consequence to it. Like that's when golf gets, gets pretty dull. It's still like, if you want to make birdie, you got to hit excellent shots. You got to go earn it. You're not, you're not a lot of people just, you know, it's not a piece of shit fucking putting contest. That's for sure. And it's not just like bailing out really bad shots, which Augusta almost never does. I mean, it's a lot of credit more to design than the setup, but that's, that's what has made it quite watchable for me. I think that's where it's like, Hey, like Augusta is still Augusta, right? It's still a brilliant test. And I think we're still, we're seeing the best parts of Augusta. I just thought we were going to see a fuller picture of all of that. Based on what we saw. Like I'm comparing everything to what we saw on Thursday. It was just a different, different product. A couple more just final sort of down the leaderboard stuff. Jake Knapp, good round from him today is up to T12. He's never finished better. He's only played five majors. Never finished. He's missed the cut in four of them and T55 last year at the masters or two years ago at the masters. So we'll be far and away his best performance. Kind of one of those guys, everybody, I think like kind of thought hoped was going to play well and then played well. So shout out to him. Benny Booms T12. Yeah. Benny Booms is, I think he's kind of finding something like it seems like I saw him have a quote the other day that said like, Hey, I, you know, my starts this year hasn't really been all that different from my start to last year. So I feel like he's, he's in a good place. Guys, one of the rounds of the day today, Ryan Gerard. Yeah. I think it is debut. Yeah. 68 and you know, a little kind of a bad bogey on 18 there, but bogeys on five and 18. Otherwise six birdies and played. He's really equating himself well this year. I feel like he, he put a lot of work in not only to get to this tournament, but even leading into this tournament to prep for this tournament. I think it's paying off. Genuinely been like one of the best iron players in the world as well. You know, not, not a, not a shock. It's kind of one of those like, you know, not a shock, but also it is kind of a shock because it's the first time and you never know what you're going to get. So again, kind of like the Jake Knapp thing. It's just fun to see the guys who are on paper, supposed to play well actually go and play well. Hatten even part. Glad we dodged that one. To be honest, I'm gonna be in my Keester. Brian Campbell shot. I missed that. Yeah. About that. Brian Campbell versus Ludwig tomorrow. Oh, you got a lot of the YTC. Anything on Tommy or Ludwig? Not really. I think Tommy's we're kind of, we're kind of, no, you guys had that conversation. You had the Ludwig conversation that was scheduled for last night. Like we covered down. You guys missed that meeting? Oh, man. He got, he got put on the speed bag today by Scotty a little bit. He was, he was off. He kind of, you know, came strong after, after seven, 30, eight, 10, 11, 12, 14 and 15. Bogey 13, but some signs of life in there. I just, I was thinking about it last night. I think we need to see a little bit more artistry injected to Ludwig's game. Sometimes it feels a little, a little stock, a little stiff, a little hidden into a net kind of vibes. Yeah, I think that's fair. That's big of you. T.C. T.C. just, just absolutely nothing on Tommy. When everyone else around him is just, you know, Yeah, I got laughed. John didn't pick him. You know, I didn't pick it. Yeah. You guys were all over me about not picking him. He's gearing up for shittie cock. He's gearing up for shittie cock in burktale. We'll be a fascinating watch tomorrow. Of course, seeing if you can get in the top 10, but I saw a question for you. Brooks sitting there at T 15 and his like playing status for this year, him getting into top 10 would, would I'm assuming give him a ton of FedEx cut points. They would hopefully, I know he's not playing next week in heritage, but down the road, like he's looking for a way to get into the top 10. He's looking for the most points that he possibly can get. Yes, I'd have to, it's a major mode. I got to get back into what signature event qualify it looks like, but could get into the next 10. I think not quite the pineapple five. I don't think this counts. And the swing five. Now pineapple five would not be that that wouldn't, I don't think this event would count in the pineapple five. It's usually the lower than events that count for the pineapple five. But yeah, he's got a, it does count for the fedora five. This is part of the egg plant 10. Guys, a good, really good pairing tomorrow that I would, I would go watch. You guys need to kill some time early or, you know, midday. Michael Brennan and Maxwell Holma. Oh, sure. You see, I got the franchise coming tomorrow. I'll come with my top five franchise quotes. Oh, franchise and his older brother, our uncle Ken, never been to Augusta before. Yeah, I can't stop. Ken and the franchise. I hopefully we'll get some content out of that one. Kids. I'm laughing at Neil during the Arcos ad last night. Realizing he could use it. I looked at some literature this morning. I was, I was taking a peek. Get ready to play Augusta on Monday. If you missed the news, Neil won the, won the lottery and we'll be teeing it up at Augusta on Monday afternoon. You know, what shot terrifies you the most? You talk about this tomorrow night. I try to think about that kind of stuff. TC. That's right. One shot at a time. Hell yeah. T shot on one. That's all I thought about. If we're being honest, the chip on three, because I'm definitely hitting driver on three. Put me down on that scoreboard baby. Let's see if we got it. All right guys, let's make some picks and get out of here. Who wants to, who wants to stick their neck out first? Who wins the 90th masters tournament? Did you say you wanted an update on the picks from our draft? No, I don't think we have time to do that. There's still so much. You said there's so much fucking golf left. I thought I heard you say, I thought I heard you say if you combined all of your guys, you almost kind of catch me. You were, you were in Tommy, you trusted and he just didn't get it done for you. Oh, please DJ pie now driving. Oh, that's bleak. Bleak, bleak. So you really don't have a whole lot of like, get out of jail free cards. I'm not going to be able to get out of jail free cards. I'm not going to be able to get out of jail free cards. I mean, look at that. Yeah, this is just, just tough. It is very funny that you all passed on Rory and Cam and let me get that at the snake. So thank you. Really. I, I thank you guys for, for, for this. Well, it looks like a trophy coming. Like we said last night, it's either it's a fine team, but they're even better young men. Just have a glad you could be the leader of the leader of a squad like that. It's just really good stuff. Well, you can go first. You can go first. Before we pick some, before we pick some winners here, I just want to go over some pre event predictions that we had here real quick. So Sali, of course, picked Scotty to win Bryson would not win. Sali still very much in this for, for win. If Scotty has a chance DJ said Cam young absolutely would not win via DM. I also doubled down on this. I was like, dude, what that, what's going on? And you're like, I'm sorry. I just, I can't do it. No, if you go back and you play my tape, I said, I think he's going to have an awesome week and he's going to finish second. Truly is what I said. Yeah, I just actually do remember that. I'm sure you said he was going to play really well. Yeah, that sounds familiar. Neil also picked Cam young not to win. And I just was like, uh, that's not going to happen. And then I, and then I doubled down with Rory not to win too. Bryson, I think Bryson wins. So I'm all over it this week. Brian Campbell. I mean, the beluga is hot baby. Can we get someone on Reddit or something to give us an update on the belugas? But usually we got tracking progress at the big corner. We need some, we need some notes on this. Tc in the house, Rom not going to win. And then, uh, like nine picks, didn't it? Yeah. Ludwig, then team Rose and Jordan then came back and was like, no, Jordan, hold on a second. I forgot about P make sure P's on that list. And then finally the closing bell rang with Ludwig. And Rob not to win. Of course. Who did Randy pick? Big was Bryson not to win Xander to win. What did Xander do today? He also picked like eight people not to win. Xander's at four under T 15. He shot 70 today. Was Sam Burns on, on Randy's not to win list. I doubt pre tournament was even garnering a mention. Yeah. He just lit him up on Thursday night. I gotta say, I don't know. I don't have to worry about him winning. I'm definitely rooting for Lowry tomorrow. Just content. Say, uh, that's your Randy last night. I would love to see him just stay up at his Keester. That's good stuff. So you're kicking everybody's ass so bad in the, in the fantasy draft. You can go first. Who's, who's going to win? Do I, can I still claim credit for the Scotty win? If Scotty comes back, if I change, if I pick somebody different now, are we doing two different things here? Yeah, we're doing, uh, who do you want to, who do you want to win and who do you think is going to win? And who wouldn't surprise you to recover the whole fucking board? I mean, if Scotty wins, I'm still going to, I'm still going to low Rasmus celebrate three years in a row, uh, the, the turkey that we were going for. But if you're asking me right now, who I think is going to win, I, I think it's going to be Rory. I think he gets it done tomorrow. I think he gets back to playing Rory golf tomorrow. Uh, so I think so as well. I, uh, I'm terrified, terrified, terrified of Cam Young. I would welcome a Cam Young victory with open arms. I think that's great for golf for all the reasons that we mentioned, but, uh, I don't know, Rory's, Rory's still my guy, man. I felt myself today just like, uh, I was living and dying with Rory a lot more than I, uh, expected to be. And I, I'm going to sign up for that again tomorrow. If he, if he gets to six, man, ties FALDO ties Phil ties Trevino and like gets seven in play. I had a Brooks. It's just, that's a big day for, for our guy tomorrow. I think he gets it done. I did once to clear that Rory is going to win 10 majors. Um, so that would, that would help that as well. Yeah. Speeds, Speeds have to get to eight to the T's T C. Uh, I'm going with Cameron young. Uh, I think he's, I think his game is tight right now. He's, he's what he's 15 under in his last 42 holes. Uh, it's, I think he's, I think he's got that look in his eyes. And, um, I have, I have full confidence out of like guys, just seeing him hit that wedge shot on 17 at sawgrass with the wind howling behind him. It's one of the best shots I've ever seen in person. And it's just, and, and, and he keeps backing it up with more wedge shots just like that, like the one on 15 today. And I don't expect it to stop tomorrow with how wrong I was about what happened today. I'm doing a little bit of a Kastanza because everything is my eyes are telling me is what you just said. It's like, well, I mean, one of these guys looks a lot more comfortable with the other guy, but, uh, I don't know. I was way wrong on the other one. So I'll try to steer against it, but I think that's, can't really go wrong with that. I think we're going to tomorrow's going to be fucking epic either way. I don't know who's going to win. I would be stunned if somebody won by three or more. Like I think it's going to be like we're going to be butchings puckered tomorrow. Neil. I'm going to be like, I'm going to be like, butchings puckered tomorrow. Neil. Yeah, I think Roy is going to win. I actually think, I agree with everything you're saying about came young, uh, the fact that they're in the same group, though, I, I think that, I think Roy knows that he's got to go get it and go back on offense. And, uh, yeah, I just think it's set up for the two of them to go back and forth. Um, I'd like to think that just in rose was going to get in the mix, but I think it's between the two of those guys. I really do. Cody, you think your guy gets it done tomorrow? Hell yeah, DJ. You know, we don't have a lot of history here, obviously, but if you go back to 2024, the winner of the players championship would go on and win the Masters 2025. Same thing would happen. 2026. I think it's going to be Cameron's interesting day. I love the fact that he's playing with Rory. He's comfortable with him and is used to dealing with the big crowds and everything. And honestly, like, doesn't really care about Rory's game or the shots that he's hitting. It's just trying to control his own ball. I think it's going to be camp and it's going to be awesome. It's probably going to be the shortest speech ever. But that's that's my guy. And I can't wait to see it. We were in a rope out all day cheering him on. Can I see a very pointless question? Who do you think Brian Rolabs rooting for tomorrow? Rory, you think I think he's rooting for Cam Young. I don't know. I think it's interesting. I think it's closer than it has been in years past. Does Rob is Rob watching? Are we positive that he cares who's winning? I just mean more like who's the PGA Tour of Wac. Because that player stat is like. It's a cool stat. I know. And Rory still is like a big needle mover. But if you're going to have other needle movers, like they got to. They got to start winning majors at some point. Honestly, I think Brian Rolab probably want Scottie Schaeffer to win tomorrow. That's right. What's the what movie am I thinking of? Where the guys like, yeah, we're the same. Like, no, no, we're not the same. No, like we're the same man. No, no, we're not. That's the PGA Tour in Augusta. Like, yeah, we have the same guys. We're in the tournament. Well, they got a coast off of, I mean, these guys, there's a symbiosis, right? They got a they got a coast off each other. So I don't know whoever wins tomorrow becomes a bigger star in the PGA Tour. I loved. I loved Ridley. I loved the PGA Tour. I loved the PGA Tour. I loved. I loved Ridley's Ridley, you know, kind of shooing the PGA Tour away a little bit during during his remarks and being like, yeah, like the AJGA does a lot for the ecosystem. It's a flick of the nuts. He was sick. Yeah. Yeah. The college golf's great too. They're providing us a lot of stars. Well, guys, I can't wait to see what happens. I think we're in for a hell of a day. It looks like all kinds of pre pre pre coverage programming tomorrow. We've got a Nance retrospective with Rory. We've got the 40th anniversary of the the Golden Bear. T.C. is going to be all over that, I'm sure. I'm going to be off shit bags all night. He's going to go skull some more wedges. Some girls are going to be hitting balls at the range. Yeah, that's right. A little range time in. Well, yeah, we'll see everybody back here tomorrow night, man. It's going to be it's going to be a good one. Can't wait. Awesome. Thanks everyone for tuning in. Now, thank you. Thank you. I'll I'll say it. Can you guys like and subscribe tonight? You know, a lot of people here hit the like button, smash the thumbs up. Yeah, thanks to everybody for watching and thanks to Cody behind the scenes. And we will we'll be back and we'll do it again tomorrow. And thanks to everyone that said hello out on the grounds, Augusta's like the the the the place for that, like where we feel the most support. So greatly, greatly appreciate it. Sorry for running, but lightly, quickly walking past everyone on the way back to the to the press center today to hustle back for the show. But I got a lot of cheering for that one. Oh, you're on the air. Go get on the air, Cody. Cody, real quick, will you flash a screenshot of the ace mobile? Let's go around the ace mobile. I sent it through in the podcast ops thread. Oh, OK. It was great. Hey, you know what? We're going to be never mind. I'll tell you, thank you, T.C. We're going to be sick. Did you guys see it? It's fucking. Hold on. I'm getting I'm trying to play. I mean, if you're this deep in the show, it's it's worth seeing. This is what Dustin Johnson's driving all week according to T.C. Most most credit T.C. That's sick. It is sick. That's really good. You got to do the candy bar tomorrow, too. I know I did yesterday. I couldn't find what said in try. I forgot in his defense, like a bottom of water today. And I actually never saw you again the rest of the day. And I did not see a candy bar there when. Yeah, thank you. I'll try to get on it early. Yeah, you can't be crazy for that if you didn't try ours. What? I mean, if I had tried, it probably would have been there. Yeah, that's not the same. That doesn't count. So they might have canceled the candy bars based on your review. Exactly. That's kind of power. I haven't been there. I'll make that a priority tomorrow, gentlemen. Heard heard. We'll be back five wide tomorrow. Very, very excited. Master Sunday, a little bit delayed, too. We usually wait till after ceremonies and impressors and everything else like that. But I'll update the time as we get ready and excited. For Sunday at the Masters, guys. Cheers. Turn it in. Thank you. Crack on.
