So echo burning at all. Let's see. What can I tell you about this? This was chronologically, let's see. This was the, his fifth novel that he published, but chronologically it is the ninth Richard novel. Interesting. So he did write, he did write some prequels, but this is, I have not read this one also, this is his fifth, the fifth one that he published, published in April 2001. So they started in 97 and this is 21 and this is his fifth one. So that tracks. That's all I can give you about it. What do you think echo burning is about? This is the ninth. Okay. So I think what this is, is I think that this is set in a South, because if I know anything about Mississippi burning, it's that Mississippi. Yep. So I assume this was inspired by Lee Child's AKA James Polk Garfield. He saw Mississippi burning and he's like, I like that snappy title. Let me do echo burning. So I think it's in the South and I think there's echo makes me think well. Hello. Okay. So I think there's an underground sort of like literally underground tunnel system in the hills somewhere in the South. Let's say Virginia. Sure. In the in this in the sort of coal mines or something where there's some sort of drug operation going on and someone reach her nose and ex military friend is killed and he goes to the funeral and at the funeral, his friend's widow kind of clues him into how he died. And so Richard goes to the coal mines looking for looking for what happened and trying to put it into it. This feels like half of an episode of Richard and half of an episode of just a five. Justified. As I was talking, I'm like, I think I'm just describing just fine. Honestly, not a long walk between Richard and Marshall Rayland Gibbons. Like they're well just distinguished. Let's just say let's do some casting. So it's not too close to just let's say that the guy who's heading up this whole thing in Virginia is Walton Gaggins for sure. For sure. Send it apart. I could play it. All right, Aaron, that's I at all. You did get some things kind of pretty close in that one. Aaron, do you have a guess? Do you have a guess for what this for what echo burning could be about? Okay. You're they're in a cave. Hobo with a cave. I do like it. And at first, they're like isolation. And I think that they're alone in the cave and that the echo they're hearing is a real echo. Turns out it's a really shallow cave. Bad guy keeps just repeating what he says back to him. Am I close? Tell me when I'm getting warmer. I will let you know. And if you want to know a movie that did not hold up, shallow cave is just there's a lot of press that's going on there just. I'm warm though. No, no, no, no, I would let you know if you got anywhere near warm. Cave, I would say it's pretty cold. And so I feel like you're going deeper into cave. And it's not I don't hate the direction that you're going. It's just not is that the right. What about like someone starts copying him? Oh, I like that. Like he has like a yeah, like yeah, exactly. Okay. Okay. A mimic. Yeah. So there's that's good because you know, you can't put a foil up against Reacher who's just like, you know, like a five one like nerd because he's the Reacher's just going to like pound his head. Right. Yeah. He's got to have a rival that's like echoing him. I love that. Right. Yeah. And then it like and then no one believes him because he's like, that wasn't me. It wasn't me who said all those things. Oh, God, he's being set up. Okay. He's being set up by someone who is echoing him. All right. Here's what it's about. I'm warmer. Adel, Adel was closest with that going over. He would reach your hitches or ride in Texas. Okay. So the saddle is right in the south. Yeah. So it's Texas. Although tell somebody from Texas, they're in the south and they will not enjoy that. Exactly. He's more the west. Carmen, the driver is a mother of a young girl and is trapped in an abusive marriage. She requests Reacher's help after some deliberation. Reacher consents. However, at her remote ranch in Echo County, Reacher encounters lies, prejudice and hatred, climaxing and Carmen being arrested for the murder of her husband. With Carmen's true motives casted it out, Reacher finds himself investigating the truth. So widow. A widow, but it doesn't start out as a widow, right? Yeah. When Reacher meets her, she's just probably like a hot lady. You know, she's, yeah, smoking hot lady. I mean, okay. So this one has four stars on Goodreads. 100,000 ratings. So it's like, these are, these are well. Wow. 100,000 ratings. Yeah. And it's like, and this is just like the fifth book. Like he's, he's a, he's got a lot of ratings. What book on Goodreads do you think has the most ratings? The Bible? Like of any, I can't be the Bible. Nobody's read the Bible. Harry Potter. Yeah. I do think I would probably guesstimate 87% of all Lee Child books have been read in an airport. Oh, I'm, I guarantee you could go and walk into any airport in the country and find a Lee Child book. Like there's a mass market paper back. Yeah. There's probably like a whole section that's just devoted to like, hey, you got, you got an hour on airplane cracking to a reacher. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone Hunger Games. The Fault in Our Stars, the Nightingale in 1984. Yeah. That makes sense. That makes sense. Interesting. Here's a review from Mike the Paladin. The Paladin is in parentheses. What are the better reach your books? I've given three positive reviews on a row here. Pretty good. Kind of a little something about Mike. This book is what I'd call an interesting opening. If you've read many of the reviews, you know I use that word frequently. It says so much. I do love some of me like, I know what you're thinking. Why is that interesting a lot? Guess what? It's not a crime to be interested. It actually makes you pretty cool. Reacher upon smacking someone else in the nose makes the discovery that he seems to have damaged the person of a local constabulary. So it seems like Reacher punches a cop, which I do think in the couple of reach your books that I have read him fighting the cops does seem to be a a kind of a consistent thing. Now luckily at all the reach your books, the cops that he like punches or kills or whatever, they're all corrupt cops. It's never reached your just being like, hey, fuck cops because he was a cop and just being like, well, this cop's actually more of a drug runner than anything. But I guess I can break every bone of his body. Addle, Aaron, what do you think of my new hair? Before you ask, before you ask, yes, I did pull every piece of hair from my head because I was so stressed out about business finances. Yeah, buddy, that looks stressful. I love my new JPC wig. Thank you for this. And the best part, it was super painful to do because I used my hands and fingers. Wow. Should he's found, right, Aaron? Should he's found? Should he use found? He could save you from all this stress. Oh, I should have used found. Found makes it easy for small business owners to put all of their finances in one place instead of a bank account here, QuickBooks there, Tax, Invoicing Apps, stacked on top. Instead, I should have just used found, found, eliminated the clutter by giving you one platform that handles it all, banking, bookkeeping, invoices, and taxes, no more paying for multiple subscriptions and dealing with clunky outdating apps. Why did I not use found? And that's the thing JPC is they've made it so easy. They've even automated things like tracking expenses, finding write-offs, and budgeting for tax time. You can even send your invoices for free and pay your contractors. Everything all from one app. They make it easy to regain control of your business finances. So you can back to doing what you love JPC like making wigs. Well, I am going to be doing a lot of making wigs now because I'm going to have to open up a new small business line that sells JPC hairwigs and people would buy them. So I can't even joke about making them because people would buy them. But I will use found and I will not stress out about having to use multiple different platforms to do everything that I need to do to run our business. We use found and I think that you should too. Oh, Aaron, look, the hairs in the shape of a backwards hat. I'm JPC. Look, I'm JPC. Wow, I love it. I wish I had my hair back. Smells awful though. Come on. Okay, well, let me just do my final measurements here. Everything seems even check the doors. Adel, Aaron, I have using my skills as a woodworker, have crafted a well-built wardrobe. A magical one where you can go into a magical world? No, I tried it. It's just wood, but it's well-built. JPC, when we said every adult should have sort of a well-built wardrobe, we didn't mean like the actual frame, like an actual wooden wardrobe. We went like in a quince way, like having a lot of adult well-made quality clothing that last. Quality pieces that work together, they hold up over time. That's what quince does best. We told you that. Organic conswetters, polos for every occasion, lighter jackets that keep you warm in the changing season. I have a raincoat from them that I love. JPC, I held you down sort of clockwork orange style and held open your eyes. I showed you that quince's premium materials, thoughtful design, and everyday staples feel easy to wear, and they're easy to rely on, even as the weather shifts in Chicago. This is making sense now, because I was like, you were talking about how quince works directly with top factories and cuts up the middleman, so you're not paying for brand markup, just quality clothing. That's what you said, and that's what you were doing with my eyes, and can I be honest with you? I did not build that well of a wardrobe. I mean, this thing is pretty loose. No, it's pretty loose. No, it's pretty loose. You could knock it over with a feather. Oh, and nail just went right through my thumb. That's the best case scenario. They only partner with factories that meet rigorous standards for craftsmanship and ethical production. I love their home stuff. I love their clothes. I can always count on them for the best quality. So don't be like that absolute fool JPC, refresh your wardrobe with quince. Don't be foolish like JPC. Right now, go to quince.com slash riddle for free shipping in 365 day returns. He's he came with the thing. I I found him on five or but I do want to see a scene we're going to see a scene based on Aaron's richer. Adel, you are going to be the antagonist to Aaron. Aaron, you don't necessarily have to be richer, but you are going to be like hunting a bad guy in a shallow cave. And then Adel, you as the bad guy are just going to be like mimicking everything that Aaron does back to her. Okay, safe for now. Gosh, I never thought I would be this low. I never thought I would fail this bad. Okay, I go. You're making me feel word. Wait, that didn't go. What the fuck? The fuck? The fuck? The fuck? The fuck? The fuck? Punches. Cave wall. Shut up, cave. Shut up, cave. And my guy was all had like what's godee. Hey man, why are you painted like godee in the middle of this cave? I was trying to blend with the cave. You still go like a sore thumb, you're painted like codee. So you knew you were punching me? Yeah, got you. Fuck, fuck. Mr. Cave, you think you can get away with this? So you found out my real name, Mr. Cave's. And this was not, this was just the cave is brown. So I used, I just want to get ahead of this. Hey, I wasn't even going to say anything. I'm a bad guy. I'm a bad guy. I'm a bad guy. I'm a bad guy. I'm a bad guy. Don't do what I did to you. Stop it. Stop it. I'm covered in shit. I never said that. I take it on a knife and I stab right between the ribs. Oh, you stabbed the cave and I'm over here. How are you doing this? I'm just looking at this. Hey, man, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen. Wait, are you like to win? Or are you just kind of...
