This episode of Tell Me Lies' official podcast features cast members Katherine Missel, Spencer House, and Brandon Cook discussing Season 3's central love triangle between Wrigley, Evan, and Brie, followed by costume designer Charlotte Svensson explaining how she recreates authentic 2000s fashion for the show.
Insights
- Character complexity drives viewer engagement—audiences root for morally ambiguous characters when their motivations are understandable and emotionally grounded
- Costume design directly communicates character emotional states and development arcs, functioning as visual storytelling beyond dialogue
- Authenticity in period styling requires balancing trendy nostalgia with wearability; avoiding the 'worst' trends (bubble hems, owl necklaces) while embracing iconic pieces (low-rise jeans, velour)
- Behind-the-scenes production challenges (lightning strikes, illness, equipment failures) become memorable moments that strengthen cast bonds and enhance final content
- Character arcs benefit from gradual wisdom and maturity; Season 3 shows characters becoming 'smarter' as they age, adding depth to their decision-making

Hello, and welcome back to Hulu's Tell Me Lies official podcast. I'm your host, Stassi Schroeder, and I'm here every week catching up on the chaos, sharing backstage moments, and hanging out with a cast and crew of Tell Me Lies Season 3, now streaming on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+. And this week is crazy because Katherine Missel, Spencer House, and Brandon Cook are all here at the same time, okay, to talk about this season's most tangled trio, Wrigley, Evan, and Brie. And if that's not enough, Tell Me Lies costume designer Charlotte Svensson is here to talk about how she creates all those ridiculously accurate throwback looks for the show. But just in case you missed this week's episode, here's a recap. Brie and Wrigley finally share their feelings and make a plan to break up with their plus ones. Evan, still upset about being distant from Brie, turns to the most toxic place for advice, Oliver. Again? Lucy warns Tegan about Steven, and Tegan actually takes her advice and breaks up with him. A first. Lucy schemes with Evan to deny their secret history in the event that Steven tells Brie, and then manipulates Steven into agreeing to tell Brie in an attempt to get her taped confession back. The student has become the teacher. Speaking of, Evan takes Oliver's advice about taking what he wants and offers to pick up Bree's mom before the exhibition. So he gets her drunk before Bree's big show, and things go awry when she gets there. Mission accomplished. Wrigley tells Bree that he broke up with Pippa, but that she shouldn't feel bad about it. And Pippa, who's the only one not at Bree's show, is confused and upset by Diana's choice to go to Stanford. So she tells Wrigley to come over, and then they hook up. Bree, meanwhile, is dealing with her mom and Lucy steps in to help. But when Steven hears her say that Bree is the best person ever, he loses it and lashes out at her. Lucy completely breaks down in his room later and Steven actually feels something for once and gives her the tape. She tells Pippa and Bree about the whole ordeal and Pippa tells them about her night with Wrigley. So Bree heartbrokenly heads to Evans and they start to patch things up. And like 10 seconds later, when he's in the shower, she figures out that the girl that he slept with was Lucy. Yikes. I have some questions for Kat. Okay. These are fun ones. Okay. We're going to compare your trio, your little love triangle, to these classic love triangles. All right. Who between Evan and Wrigley Is Gaston And who is the Beast I think Oh, make me Gaston Make me Gaston He would love that I think Evan's Gaston For sure I appreciate that Like any of these Any of these choices Whoever's the fanciest one That's Evan Oh, that's true Wait, I don't know He's a fancy guy Well, the Beast was a prince The Beast is pretty fancy I know the Beast was kind of lit Yeah, it's so true The Beast is fancy I mean, he was a prince. He had a palace. Gaston just lived in the village. That's so true. But he was arrogant and flashy. The beast hides away. That's true. No one knows how emotional the beast is. Facts. No one knows how deep his emotions go. There's depth to the beast. There is. Okay, who's Han Solo and who's Luke Skywalker? I'm going to be Han Solo. Okay, okay. Wrigley can be Han Solo. Okay, Wrigley can be Han Solo. Han Solo. I'll take Luke. And you'll take it. You're good with it. Yeah, I'm good with that. Who is Jay Gatsby and who's Tom Buchanan? This one's dark. Wrigley's Jay Gatsby. He's so much cooler. Wrigley's Jay Gatsby. You're just doing anything that Spencer's own. I hear him in my ear being like, please, please. I don't know how that works. Is that what you really think? Yeah, sure. Yeah, okay. I'm sorry you're Tom Buchanan. He's the worst. He's one of the worst characters. Like in English literature, IMO. I mean, Evan's pretty bad, to be honest. Really? You know, you only find that out in season three. Yeah. Which, it broke my heart. Because Evan was my favorite male character. And then he quickly became, not my least favorite, because Steven's the fucking worst. Sure. But the second you got her mom drunk. Well. You know. Yeah, it's complicated, isn't it? I don't even know. I like to see him take initiative. It's complicated? It's complicated. Yeah, I took initiative. I tried to write. Thank you, Spencer. I appreciate it. Crazy. Not you defending problematic behavior, but that's fine. Who is Buzz Lightyear and who's Sheriff Woody? Buzz Woody. I'll take that. I'll take that. Although, aren't you like a cowboy for Halloween? You're Indiana Jones. I was, so I'm probably closer to Woody in real life. Yeah, probably. I'll take Buzz Lightyear. Yeah. Okay. Pop quiz. What is Wrigley's real name? In the book, it's Michael. But then Megan took liberties to change his name for the show. But what's his first name? What do you mean? What's Wrigley's first name? Wait, Wrigley's the last name? In the book, it's Michael. What's his last name? But in the show, we dropped that. Drew Wrigley and Michael Wrigley. His last name is Wrigley. so what's his first name? but what's his first name? if his last name is Wrigley then what's his first name? yeah Michael so it still is Michael in the book it's Michael but your last name Wrigley is your last name no Megan Oppenheimer the creator of the show Megan Oppenheimer took the liberties to change his first name so it's no longer Michael no but just meaning because the way your friends sometimes call you by your last name and then that becomes the thing yeah they call him Wrigley which is last name because Drew Wrigley but what is your first name? Drew What do you mean? You still have a first name. It's just your friends call you by your last name. Wrigley's his last name. Right. Yeah. So what's the question? What's your fucking first name? Michael. It's Michael. I think we should move on. Go ahead. Go ahead. Okay. I'm going to ask each of you this question. We're going to start with Kat. If you could swap places with any character just for one episode, like act out that character, you know, who would it be? You can pick a dude if you want. Who do you think would be the most fun to play? I mean, Steven's a fun character to play because he's so evil. So diabolical. So diabolical. But it's like very like underneath the surface. You know what I mean? He like keeps it reserved, like hidden secret. But I think Pip is also a really fun character to play. because she's just like that girl you know what i mean yeah like she walks into a room and she's like really confident and i love that great answer so i'm spencer you're gonna go last okay brendan what would you say uh weirdly enough maybe lucy then if you pick steven then i'll pick lucy oh cool because i probably would pick steven as well but like lucy is like it's a lot happening it's a lot going on yeah it seems well it seems exhausting to play yes highly emotional yeah there's a fun element to the exhaustion of it. Yeah. Always dealing with chaos. Yeah. It's a lot of things happening to deal with. I think that's... Thriving in chaos. I feel like she doesn't know how to live without chaos. Exactly. And that's fun, I think. Alright, Spencer, you can't say moving on. I think Jackson has the most fun. Writing-wise, Jackson has the most fun. Obviously, he's the contrarian to the whole thing. But I'm going to give the Same answer. I think if it, I don't think Jackson applies just because it's so obvious. But if it wasn't, probably Pippa. I feel like Pippa has some fun stuff. Okay. So Steven, Lucy, and Pippa. Yeah. Boom. So let's talk about this love triangle. Did you guys see this shit coming? Because I did not. No. No, I don't think so. I did. Oh. You did? Yeah. Look at the first line of the show. I said, I'm stealing your wife. Oh, yeah. Yeah, you did trust her. up and said i'm stealing your wife and then i tried to kill everyone who got in the way i tried to i tried to kill you with a bowling ball yeah yeah i got drew oh my god in tyreek what happened to tyreek six feet under that what happened whatever character tyreek played i mean that another version of the story teddy i think I think Yeah yeah yeah Were you really looking into those things and you were like I could see this happening That's intense. Yeah, I think from the beginning, Wrigley was out to kill everyone who got in his way. Yeah. And I pick her up and say, I'm stealing your wife. That was my first line. I'm going to go back and watch her. That was my first line. Episode one again. Yeah, when you said that, that was a really interesting connection. No, Megan and I, we were like, just wait. Just wait. And I ran in and went, I'm stealing your wife. Wow. I didn't see that coming, though. I didn't think it was going to make it in. Yeah. All right. Well, what do you— But I'll kill everyone that's in there. What do you think were the most memorable moments between your characters? It doesn't have to be this season. It could be any of the first from the first two. I think like episode 6 is it when we have the fight outside in the street yes when he's you guys have the fight and then he's there to witness it I think just because as a trio we're not together a lot but that was a really fun night to shoot those scenes were really cool so it's maybe my personal like favorite wait what made that shoot so fun just random we also don't get to all three be together in that way so it was it was fun to like i think we all get along pretty well and that was a fun time to be together i also love overnights yeah it was a nice shoot i love i love stand up all night shooting yeah i do and we were in a cool area yeah we were in such a great area yeah and it was like rainy and kind of misty yeah for the night with us cause there's two nights we were on that campus and the campus was beautiful is it just from the season? is that the question? no it could be from any season I think the most memorable is probably from the lake house but not for a good reason all hell broke loose at that lake house and I think house got struck by lightning and in real life in real life we do tell because we all want to know behind the scenes secrets the house got struck by lightning it was boiling hot Ben got shocked because he was on his phone and his phone was plugged into the wall and the house got struck I think COVID happened a couple times to people during the late days we went down heights I was sorry with you let's not are you the super spreader? yeah definitely we were on canoes all day and I started I was so sick I started hallucinating it was crazy I had like 104 degree fever Like it was wild It was also boiling We were in Atlanta at the time I mean it's hot Atlanta for a reason So it definitely lived up to the name I can't believe the house was struck by lightning Yeah it was a crazy storm That happened Like multiple times What do you mean multiple times? We had so much equipment in the house That the metal And there were even giant holes outside of the house too for the times that it missed and it just like flung up dirt. Everybody was safe though. Everybody was safe. We got ticks. What? I had ticks all over me. But we all stayed in a lake house together. Not a lake house. No, separate. We like rented a lake house together. Yeah, we thought that'd be a good idea. Yeah, no, that sounds like a lot of fun. Was it not? It was hot. No, it was fine. It was fun in the beginning but then we all got sick. That's where it got a little weird. Well, you know what? at least you were all sick at the same time sure they had to call it they had to call it and we had to leave and come back and do it again we were all healthy yeah wow what a shit show it was it was an interesting time but it made for a great episode i think yeah yeah for sure yeah we'll never forget it can't believe all the lightning striking which parts of the love triangle storyline were the most fun to create i think it it wasn't directly part of this triangle but the other triangle that there was i think with lucy no sorry well i feel like i was always in some type of triangle yeah you were uh but with oliver how that kind of ended up being a part of all of it as well and how you just like kept going to him for advice which i will ask you about yeah yeah yeah it was very interesting. I feel like I'm coming at you like I'm being accusatory. I'm like, I know it's not you. I know it's your character. Just trust I'm invested. And so, you know, I feel things about it. I understand. What scene made you, or moment, made you really proud of your character? And you can each answer. I'm like, am I proud of her? I don't know. Yeah, that's what gets tricky. It's like, when you look at the decisions yeah i can understand the decisions i don't agree with them but i can understand in his state why he would take some of those decisions that he thinks was for his betterment but i i don't know if i'm i'm necessarily proud of him you don't have to be proud of your character as a whole right you can be proud of certain moments or decisions i'm proud that he saw a problem and tried to find a solution actively. I don't think he did a good job of that. Which problem? His life. But more specifically, like, losing Bree and trying to actively figure out how to solve that. Yeah. I think that takes some initiative, and he wasn't passive about it, which is, like, I can be proud of that. I don't think he made the right decision in going about it, but I'm proud of that. Yeah, that's a great answer. Yeah. I think with Brie just like picking herself up over and over again and dusting herself off and like not letting what people's, especially Oliver's opinion of her, like, I mean, it does, it does obviously affect her. But like, you know, he says some pretty nasty things to her and she has to like keep going. She used to, you know, go to her classes and make sure she's keeping up her grades and doing her thing. Gaslighting little piece of shit. Master manipulator mother. Yeah. Yeah. When Wrigley starts getting a little bit more wiser to Jackson, a little bit, or Steven, and that was fun. What? It's this whole thing. This conversation is bullshit. Yeah. Yeah, that was just fun to play, too, because it's like you've been doing years of kind of like... Being like, yeah. Yeah, and that was kind of a moment of like, oh, cool, that's fun to play with, I guess. Same. I mean, I got to do a little bit of that, too, So that was fun to kind of be more straightforward. I feel like we got a little smarter this season, which was fun. Yeah, we got older technically too. Yeah, that's true. In real life and the characters, they're seniors on the last semester. So it's like, it is more, some wisdom came. Yeah, like I personally loved when no one gave a shit that he got into Yale. Yeah, we like pretended to. That was fun to watch. And he just spiraled. You could just see him spiraling in his head. Everyone's like, yeah, cool. That's one of my favorite scenes. I thought Jackson did such a good job at almost having this little realization that it's like, oh, I don't have any friends. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Okay, which scene or moment made you question your characters? Oh. I mean, like everyone you're in. Yeah. Getting Bree's mom drunk. Yeah. I was like, wow, that's so brave. That's some wild shit. That really was some wild shit. Yeah, no, I remember reading it and was like, oh, okay, this is going to be interesting. And then just playing none the wiser once we get to the art gallery. Has she been drinking? She was like this when I picked her up. It's like, yeah, I don't know what happened. She was like this when I picked her up. Crazy work. And then trying to explain that to Bree and be like, let's just go home, you know, let's get out of here. And she's like, nah, nah, I'm okay. Yeah. So it never works out quite how Evan wants it to. Yeah. I think our falling in love is pretty wild. It's a little questionable. You know what? I'm really anti-cheating in life. But I was very much here for it. Because you could just feel like y'all played this so well. So well. The bar is so low in this show that if you do anything, remotely okay you a saint I hear people being like Wrigley such a good guy What do you think people misunderstand about Evan that he wants them to know I think he really is trying And I think he really does care very deeply for something. And I think, not to make a shout, but I think he's just a hurt little boy that's trying to figure it out. And he makes a lot of bad decisions trying to figure it out. And I think that stems from, like, they mentioned a little bit, like, his relationship with his dad and his relationship with his parents. And he's an only child. And, you know, I'm an only child as well. Oh, wow. Like, I can understand. I mean, I didn't have the same life he had at all. But I can understand there being, at times, a lostness and trying to grab on this stuff. Yeah, I hope people understand that he's trying. Yeah. It's not great, but he's trying. Yeah. Well, he also goes through this transformation in season three. What was the most fun part of entering your bad boy era, I guess? Is that what that was? I mean, it was, I think that transition was a little closer maybe to me, a little closer in terms of like how I interact with people, how I talk. not in a disrespectful way, but like, yeah, a little more straightforward at times or relax. I think Evan normally is a little anxious all the time. And it was fun. I like got to chill more. I got to say kind of more what I felt like Evan was thinking. Yeah. And he had been tucking and pushing down a lot. So that was fun. Yeah. I don't have to pretend and be a people pleaser so much. Right. That was fun. Spencer, so Wrigley seems to always want to make everyone around him happy, okay? Or to provide what they need. What makes Wrigley happy? And what does he need that he finds in Brie? Two-parter. That's a good question. Yeah, yeah. I think being himself makes him happy, and he's rarely ever that. So whenever he gets to be himself, I think it's like taking a ton of weight off of his shoulders. And I think he finds that in Bree, and that kind of is magnetic to him. It's not anybody else's business what goes on with your family. Except mine, because I forced you to involve me. But no, I'm not going to say anything to anybody. When he's with Pippa, I'm trying to think of a different word than lie, but the whole thing is built on lies. Tell me lies. Yeah, I know. That's what I'm about. Tell me the truth. And so I feel like it's like a breath of fresh air. It's like coming up from being underwater whenever he's with Brie. And I think that he can be himself because you guys didn't set out to date. You weren't trying to impress each other. You know what I mean? Yeah, we were friends first. You were friends first. In fact, it was the opposite. Sort of. We never really talked much. I think that's kind of the funny thing is that the one time we talked, we realized that about ourselves. because I don't think we really talk. Not at all. But it's not like you guys were at a party and you're like, oh, I think this person's hot. I think this is hot. Let me put my best foot forward and try and impress. Right. You could just be real. But I think, yeah, I think that's what it was, is that both guards are down. I can't speak to what you were doing, but for Wrigley, that was true. No, that's the same for Breeze, like just the dropping of all of the bullshit. Like just let me just be myself and see what happens. I also think like, yeah, it just happened organically. She's in a really vulnerable place when he's there for her, like, and he steps in to be there for her. He's obviously looking for kind of an escape, even just from campus. And she goes and meets her mom. And it's like a very vulnerable moment. And I think they just bond. Yeah. So Brie figures out that Evan and Lucy have been keeping a huge secret from her in this episode. what was y'all's reactions when you got to the last page of the script and read that reveal oh i was glad we finally figured out when she found out like because you know we know that she knows but we don't know when or how and it was pressure honestly because i was like this is a huge moment and I was nervous about playing it but um I don't know we get to see that unfold even further and it's really drama well thank you guys so much for being here thank you like my tell me life's dreams are coming true every day so like this is incredible good after the break costume designer Charlotte Svensson takes us behind the scenes of building tell me lies vintage looks Okay, Charlotte, wait. This is huge. We're both from New Orleans. I know. Massive. Number one question, New Orleans, people always ask, where'd you go to high school? Sacred Heart. Sacred Heart on St. Charles. You were fancier than me. I'm a Mount Carmel girl, and Sacred Heart, those girls were a little, you guys were a little cooler than us. And you know it. Well, we got to wear our skirt shorter, which was huge. That's great for you guys. No, the nuns made us kneel. You know what I mean? And if it didn't touch the ground, then we were in trouble. That's bull. Bullshit. You know what I mean? Yeah. Hate that. But like, we're New Orleans girlies. What year did you graduate? 2010. then. So I went to college the exact years that this show takes place. And so whenever I see a different character pop up in an outfit, I'm like, oh my God, I'm instantly transported back. So I want to know what was like some of your favorite trends or looks from the aughts, you know, that you were excited to bring to this show? Totally. I think for me, I was a little bit different from the show and the fact that I dressed like a Tumblr girl, like this fashion bloggers, like Rumi Neely and I Hate Blonde. And that kind of exists in the background of our show because we tried to stay away from anything that was too trendy for the girls. But the trends I was excited to bring were low-rise jeans, always tucking the whale tail. Do you like a low-rise jean? For myself, never. It has to start underneath the bus and go straight to the floor. Absolutely. There's nothing more uncomfortable than a low-rise jean. And I wish I had Grace's body to get away with that low-rise jean because it's so flattering. But that is, if that time period was a piece of clothing, it would be the low-rise jean. 100%. So yes. Sorry, I interrupted you. No, all good. There's so many things that I was excited to bring, but also things I wanted to stay away from. There's so many bad trends, like the bubble hem. We were like, we're not doing that on the show at all. I wear the bubble hem all the time now. You're bringing it back. It's back. It's different though. Charlotte, it's back. It's back, but the fabrics are better. You remember the bubble hem that I'm... I know what you're talking about. And it was like on pure waist bubble hem. It's a different vibe now. I did that last summer in Italy on Vanderpump Villa in Sky Blue. And now I'm feeling really insecure about it. No, no, no, no. Every time I wear like bubble hem shorts, I'm like, this is about, this trend's about to end and I don't want it to. Listen, come be back on our show. We could use you. I really just like have me walk by in a bubble skirt. I'd love it. Wait, what other trends were you like? Absolutely not. This is too cringe. I don't want to bring this here. For our main cast, for our background, we'll do anything. But for some reason, Owl, like, I don't know, trend was really in the owl necklaces. I do remember. Owl necklaces. And then we had the wide elastic belts that were pretty awful. And since we're a very heavy sex show, it's just one extra step is too much for us. Leggings underneath everything. Lace leggings, solid leggings, colored leggings. Yeah. I'm transported again. So you didn't want to bring back the fugly stuff. I didn't want to bring back the fugly stuff. I wanted to be like nostalgic and fun and sort of timeless. Because at the end of the day, they are just college kids. They're not like, you know, we weren't dressing up to go. I mean, to school. We were wearing sweatpants. I was just about to say when I was in school, I wore sweatpants and Uggs. Totally. Like, who was she? Don't know her. She's not in front of you today. I be showing if I was in college right now this is how I be showing up Yeah And I with my little laptop you know just like typing away Yeah No no sweatpants Yeah Any other ones like matching velour Matching velour was huge. It's funny because there's like there's the it party girl version of things. And then there's the college version of things. Velour I was excited about. I will say that. But we haven't done a matching set. I feel like that's too try hard for our show. Yeah. And I guess you got to take into consideration where they're at. Totally. Like, they're not going to college in L.A. Like, they're going to college in, like, upstate New York. So, like, I don't think they're looking at, you know, people like Paris Hilton and being like, I need to dress like that. Who do you think their style icons would be? I think for Lucy, because I think about her often, it is Lauren Conrad. It is Kristen Cavallari. It is Nicole Richie and the Gossip Girl, the whole show, basically. But it's just pared down. Yeah. And just taking little things from that, the Tiffany's jewelry, the low-rise jeans, the going-out tops. I think that's still there. It's just more mall brand vibes mixed with, like, it's very high-end, low-end. Yes. We got the Cavalli, we have the Dolce, but then it's like a Forever 21 top. Yes, totally. So when you're creating these looks for these different characters, do you have to take into consideration what they're going through emotionally and that inner work and put that in terms of their looks and wardrobes? Do that make sense? Absolutely. I think it's script-based. I think it's where they are emotionally. And that could be, I'm really depressed about Steven and I'm really sexy and unhinged. Or that could be, unhinged. I'm just wearing a sweatshirt I've been wearing to sleep for three days. And then it's what they have access to in the moment. I'd like to assist you. That would be fun. Please, come. Like, I love clothes. Yeah. So, like, just to, like, create a story with clothes. Yeah. What a dream. You have a dream life. Okay. Well, so then you also flash forward to the wedding. So this is a different time period. Totally. How did then you approach that? Luckily for us, we don't really know much about their story outside of these very specific events. So whether that's the engagement party or the bachelor bachelorette party or the wedding, we only see them very few times and usually dressed up, which already is so different than how they are in college. I mean, the most important thing is to, you know, notate those two things and make them look very different and older. So, you know, we're doing Hervé Leger dresses. They're in bridesmaids dresses. It already looks so viscerally different. So we didn't have, you know, it's really trying to be ambiguous and not say too much because we really don't know what's happening in that storyline or where they're going. Yeah, I will say Bree's party dress like the after the wedding. her after party dress. I'm like, that is the most 2015, like nailed it. Like fully nailed it. But also on this show, you guys have so many fun themed parties. Like I could just list like Decades, Opry Ski, Beach, Goth Valentine's Day. Which one, if you could just choose one, which one was your favorite to style? This is so easy for me. It's the goth party. And it's just because goth at that time just penetrated culture. I mean, people were wearing studs. Everyone wore a heavy eyeliner. The jelly bracelets. I just feel like everyone was doing their own version of that. So, I mean, it was just so fun to do the party that expanded from, like, the Topshop London vibe to, like, the indie sleaze American apparel. There was so much going on at that time. So that was the best. Which one do you think was the hardest? Where you were just like, uh. were you ever like i don't know because it was the dead of summer oh oh that sucks for everyone around everyone around that they had to be dressing like that in the heat brandon cook who plays evan was fully in like a down filled very expensive one piece oh in a very thick turtleneck i'm so sorry for him i'm sorry brandon okay so opera ski hardest one out of all the seasons. Okay. Now this might be hard for you. What is your most memorable look or the one that you're like, that's it. That's the one. If you could only post, let's say you had an, on your Instagram, you could only post one look that you've done from Tell Me Lies. What would that look be? Oof. Okay. I'm going to have to do a tie because you said too. Because we can pretend it's a carousel. Exactly. Number one would definitely be like the striped top with the low-rise jeans when she goes to the spring fair with Stephen and Diana sings her little acapella and they make out in the crowd. That one's iconic. And then my second favorite is from this season when she goes to the bar with Stephen and they pseudo break up. She has that Dolce coat on that's green with the fur. And then she's wearing some low-rise jeans, this vintage Ellie Tahari top and these like kick-ass knee-high leather and suede embossed pointed toe shoes. So you chose the chicest things. I did. No, that makes sense. Yeah. Grace was on the podcast last week and I forced her against her will, and I don't care, okay, to tell us where she shops in LA. And she gave us some good spots. So she only shops vintage, which is very cool and chic of her. I'm like, have you ever shopped online? She's like, no. I'm like, I feel old. Okay. um where do you shop we want to know where you are shopping oh in LA or just in general uh selfishly LA but I guess we're gonna go in general for all the viewers okay I'm big online um just because they're the best deals and if you find something in store chances are it's cheaper online that's just me where online give me those websites I mean I'm classic I go eBay I have eBay alerts set up for all of you know Prada Mew Mew all of it real real it's unfortunately just No, we all love the RealReal. Depop, Poshmark, any vestiaire, any of the secondhand sites. Oh, so are you guys ever wearing new clothes? Is everyone wearing vintage clothes? I didn't catch this memo. In the show? Or just in general? Oh, everyone's wearing vintage, yeah. In general? Like, this isn't vintage. It's cute, though. It's vintage-inspired. It's vintage-inspired. Yeah. And I thought I was somebody who, like, loved vintage clothes. I do. Yeah. But I don't own a shit ton of vintage clothing. Turns out I'm doing it all wrong. Yeah, you're a vintage Prada Mew Mew girl through and through. I can see it. Thank you. You're so welcome. Don't cut that out, okay? Don't cut that out. Where's your favorite places to shop in person in L.A.? In person in L.A.? I love Star Day. I love Squaresville. The studio is really great. I'm new here, so I'm learning my bearings. Paper Bag Princess is great, but it's by appointment only. They're so sweet. Shout out to them. I love the Real Real store here. Yeah. Okay, actually, I have one more fashion question that's just like top of mind. Do you think New Orleans inspired your style? Oh, absolutely. I think that's also why I enjoy the goth party so much is just because there was this goth marony underground thing that was happening at the time. But I think that New Orleans is in terms of just like culture, architecture, aesthetics, just like style everything it's it's its own unique thing and when people ask me like why are you into spooky stuff or why are you into like dark stuff I'm like it's because I'm from New Orleans like I swear it New Orleans informs everything that I do and am so same yeah we got that I know it's hard my dad is actually he just sold his house in New Orleans so it's it is so sad oh my dad's still there so I have it's my last link literally you have to keep that. Gotta keep the New Orleans link alive. 100%. Okay, guys, class dismissed. Thanks for tuning in and see you next week for another Tell Me Lies deep dive.
