You know, we kind of threw it out there because Val Kilmer, apparently there's a movie where they are A. I. Val Kilmer and he's going to be in this movie, obviously post-death. And we did throw out, you know, a little bit of a topic, which was, okay, so if you could bring back your favorite actor, who would it be? I'm actually surprised at how, number one, how many people participated on the Supertext Line with the actors that they would like to come back, but also the variety. You know who Jackie wants to see come back? Lassie. Lassie. Lassie. That's what Jackie says. That's probably the easiest one to actually do that. You could, technically, if you had Lassie DNA, you could clone them. I'm going to just, because I got a lot to do in this segment, I'm just going to go down the list. Okay, real quickly. Heath Ledger, John Wayne. Of course. It's a good one. Somebody said Clint Eastward. Clint Eastward is still alive, right? I didn't miss Clint Eastward is still alive, correct? As far as I know. Yeah, he's still alive, whatever. I'm not sure who this is. John Cazale. Cazale. C-A-Z-A-L-E. Anyway, Patrick Swayze, Roadhouse style. Okay. Robert Duvall. Robin Williams. John Candy. Walter Mathau with Jack Lemon. Christopher Reeve is another one. Dennis Hopper, Steve McQueen. Isn't that who you said, Joan, Steve McQueen? No, you said Robert Redford. No, Robert Duvall. Oh, somebody said Steve McQueen. Apparently no one said Steve McQueen, whatever. Not here. Okay, John Wayne, so on and so forth. So Chuck Norris, another good one. Sean Connery. So, yeah, there's a lot of actors, but you know what? I am very much against AIing these actors. Now, if it's for one or two scenes to kind of tie sequels and prequels and all that together, you know how they sometimes do, I understand the need to do that, but I'm with Joan. There are so many good actors out there that there's no real reason to AI actors because again, there's a lot of really good ones out there and we don't need to start, you know, AIing actors from the past, although there are some actors that were so incredibly unique, i.e. John Wayne, that I mean, it would be interesting to see them AI generated in something, but by and large, I think their legacy should stand. And Joan, just so you know, flag the tape here. Once I pass, please. I know that there's going to be calls to AI generate me. Yeah, please don't. Yeah, please, please don't. That's okay. We've already 3D imaged you so that we can resurrect you at any given moment. Sure, because there's going to be just a huge demand for 3D generated or AI generated mandus once I'm gone. Okay, real quick. We always talk about, and yesterday was a very big day for a lot of different reasons. Of course, we did have the tax day was yesterday and we spoke earlier about how in Tennessee, a tax day has now been extended to June 8th. But I did a bit of a monologue yesterday on how frustrating tax day is because, you know, it's a day where, like Joan, for example, that had to, you know, she finds out in the last couple of weeks, she's got to pay $4,000 to the government. And so does it anger you to know and knowing how much waste, fraud and abuse there is of our taxpayer dollars? It really does me. We could talk about the Somalians. I, of course, mentioned them yesterday. We could talk about what is happening in California with not only the Somalians, but you know, a whole bunch of illegal aliens and, you know, people that are citizens of our country too, but ripping off those of us who actually work for a living and contribute to the tax base. But you would think, you would think that on tax day, you would at least have some folks in the mainstream media that are looking at the amount of money that we pay and where our money goes. And the media would cover that. But listen to this, because apparently, according to Fox News, you have ABC and CBS and the networks. Do you know how much I've got video here? Do you know how much they have covered the Somalian, I'm talking about the networks, how much they've covered things like the Somalian fraud or the fraud that is going on in California? Remember, we spoke extensively a couple of weeks about the trend in nowhere in California. Remember all of that and, you know, how the Trump administration, if I'm not mistaken, the Trump administration said, no more federal dollars for you. You people are insanely incompetent or corrupt. I say it's both. I say it's both incompetent, well, I and C, incompetency and corruption. Anyway, this is, this was from Fox News. ABC, NBC have yet to cover massive hospice fraud in Gavin Newsom's California. It goes on to say, since Dr. Mehmet Oz sounded the alarm in January about the rampant Medicare fraud inside California's hospice system, ABC and NBC have not spent a second, not one second on their flagship morning and evening newscast informing viewers of the billions of dollars scammed from U.S. taxpayers. Hey there, I'm Paula Pan. I help people make the smartest money decisions possible. Joe, you know what's been great about being a saver for money to make and that money over the past couple of years has made a pretty good yield. Pre-pandemic money was making zero. Now it's actually making something, but that's starting to go down, down, down. I love how we can play the fact that inflation has been really high as a positive. But if you're a saver, you know what that means to change. So overlining, Joe, so overlining. Afford anything, follow and listen on your favorite platform. Not a second. Now why would that be? I'm gonna wait. I know you people know. The reason why they don't want to cover the waste, fraud and abuse in California is because that would make Gavin Newsom look bad, right? It's gonna make Gavin Newsom look bad. So Gavin Newsom is going to be their preferred candidate heading into 2028. So of course the networks are not going to cover this. On fraud. Wow, shocker. The Democrats are not reporting Democrat fraud. I'm really, really color me shocked. Color me shocked. No, I mean, this is again another example of no accountability from the media, especially when it comes to covering up fraud that the Democrats are essentially committing themselves. Yeah, this is a prior patelle, right? I mean, we saw it in Minneapolis and we're seeing it now again in California probably 10 times as much as we saw in Minnesota. Yeah, because it's the biggest state in the union and the fraud is going to be immense. Well, and I have said it over and over again. I'm not going to belabor the point, but I'm telling you why is Gavin Newsom there is, there was another, there was another poll out just the other day that talks about how Gavin Newsom's the guy for the Democrats in 2028. And it's like, he's very popular. But the reason he's popular is because he is really good kind of like Eric Swalwell. He's really good at going after Donald Trump. The question is, what has he done? What has he accomplished? And it's, it's nothing. I mean, when, when Gavin Newsom is no longer the governor of California, it'll definitely, definitely be addition by subtraction. So I think for me, when I look at what's happened to, you know, my home state of California, my home town of Los Angeles, California, and what it has become because of Democrat rule, not only at the, you know, the top spot, which is the governor's office, but also you've got, you've got mayors, you've got city council, you've got all of these Democrats. It is just, it has become infested. And just like we've seen in all of these other Democrat run states, as Joe knows, she fled Maryland. As I know, I fled California. I consider myself a recovering Californian. People are now fleeing those states. And so once people start paying attention to what Gavin Newsom has done or accomplished or not accomplished in the state of California, well, then guess what? Once the focus is on him and his accomplishments or lack thereof, I think that there is going to be a lot of discussion as to his incompetence and his corruption. And as far as your weather goes, on this Thursday, variably cloudy and not as warm with a couple of showers and a thunderstorm, thunderstorms can bring localized damaging winds, gusts, hail, flooding downpours, and a high of 77. Don't tell that with council. Is that climate change? I was going to say, what joke could I make about hail? Start crying. You think of TikTok video. It'll be fine. People, just so you know, if we, if we have some like, like icy things falling from the sky, that is hail, we've seen it before. We'll see it again. It's been happening for years. No, it's not climate change. If it happens after a trailer explodes, it's meth, not hail. Does meth look like hail? I mean, they call it ice. Oh, is that what I just kind of? Okay. It's crystal line. It's all I know. I've never, right, Sam, right. Hey, Joe, have you ever seen meth? No, neither have I. Anyone surprised that of the three of us, Sam is the only one that knows what meth actually looks like at a waffle house, man. Whatever, man. Whatever. Oh, real, real quickly. Just can we pull the story of the guy within FEMA that said that he was transported to a waffle teleported? Was it teleported to a waffle house? Like, I want to, I want to do that story at some point this morning. I know that it's kind of an older story now. There's a bit of an update on it. But there is a guy within FEMA, within Trump's administration, who actually had said that he was teleported with that was, am I using the right term teleported? Greg Phillips. Yeah. Greg Phillips. Spiritually teleported. Spiritually teleported to a waffle house. And can I just say that if I was going to be teleported, any place that sure as heck wouldn't be a waffle house? No offense. Definitely depends on the time. Like if you're teleported there on third shift, the overnight shift, God help you. Well, listen, I think if he was teleported to a waffle house, that probably means that he was on the meth that we were just talking about. Because you go to a waffle house, there's only one reason, Joe, and from what I understand, there's only one reason to go to a waffle house at like midnight. Is it waffles? Well, it's because you're drunk or you're on some sort of mind altering substance from what I understand. So we're half the cooks. See, back in Jersey, you would go out at night, go dancing and all, and then you go to the diner. But here, I guess you go to the waffle house. Well, yeah, I guess, I don't know. I'm not a big fan of waffle house, but whatever. Anyway, so I think I think waffle. Okay, I'm going to say something controversial, then I promise I'm going to move on. Does waffle house, do they advertise on WTN? I don't care, whatever. Actually, they spend $0 on advertising. Okay. Waffle house is the diner equivalent of Taco Bell. Prove me wrong. Diner equivalent of Taco Bell. I think. No, this would be Denny's. I think that would be Denny's. Oh, you are absolutely wrong. It would be Denny's. No. Waffle house is like the Chipotle. No. No. Waffle house has the same impact on a lot of people as Taco Bell does, because it's cooked in lard and grease. It's just whatever. I'm not doing this. I'm going to move on. But you're already doing it. I'm not going to do it anymore, Joan. Kaila oil and margarine. Be quiet, Joan. I'll start asking questions about where you were for the teas. Carry on. Moving on. Moving right along. All right. It is 619 on Nashville's Morning News, on Super Talk 997 WTN. I real quickly because is there anything new really, Joan, with a war on Iran? Here's what I have. We now have, and I do have a whole package on it, but just so people know that I know what's happening in Iran. We now have full, full control of the Strait of Hormuz, according to Donald Trump and according to the government, right? So our government. There was a little kerfuffle yesterday where the headline was basically that our military had rebuked Donald Trump when Donald Trump said that, I guess, the Strait of Hormuz was open. And our military said the Strait of Hormuz is closed. Well, what Donald Trump meant was that we are allowing ships, it's vernacular, right? It's the use of words. Trump meant that ships, other than Iran, ships are being allowed to go through the Strait of Hormuz as long as, you know, there's no sanctions placed on that particular ship and they're not coming or going Iranian ports. The government, when they said and the Navy said, I guess, that the Strait of Hormuz is closed, well, they're talking about for Iran. And so I just, I think there was just a miscommunication or what they were talking about, apples and oranges and all that. But that's number one. The Washington Post is reporting and they're calling this breaking news. I mean, didn't we have this yesterday, Joan, where the president is sending a lot more troops to the Middle East, New York, I should say, the Washington Post is reporting 10,000 troops now headed to the Middle East. I don't know if that's true or not. That's what the Washington Post is saying. Donald Trump is saying yet again, but he said this many times that the war is close to ending. We could have more discussions in the next couple of days, maybe by this weekend, we'll have to wait and see what happens. We do have Iran and they are losing, as we've been all talking about, $435 to $450 million every single day. And now Scott Besant is talking about, and I've got some audio on this coming up, perhaps at 635. But Scott Besant is out there talking about how, because Iran bombed their Gulf neighbors, you know what the Gulf neighbors are now doing? They're telling us about those Iranian bank accounts that Iran and some of their leaders and all this that they have in some of these other nations. And so now we can go after their bank accounts, for example, in, I don't know, United Arab Emirates, some of these nations. So it's pretty funny. So now what we're doing, thanks to our allies in the Middle East, because Iran has bombed them, is now we are able to freeze their assets. And I love that. So let's get into some of the very latest regarding the Iran War, the Blockade and everything else. Donald Trump was interviewed by Maria Bartiromo, where a lot of people are talking about how China is impacted not only by the Blockade, but are they sending weapons to Iran. This is what the president said, got some video. This is what the president said about Xi Jinping. I mean, he's somebody that needs oil. We don't. He's somebody I get along with very well. He just wrote me a beautiful letter. He wrote you a letter? Yeah, he did. He responded to a letter that I wrote because I had heard that China is giving weapons to if I mean, you're seeing it all over the place to Iran that China is giving. I wrote him a letter asking him not to do that. And he wrote me a letter saying that essentially he's not doing that. So that is President Trump. And he's talking about how he gets along very well with Xi Jinping. Okay. By the way, the headline Iran is threatening the Red Sea shipping if the US Blockade does continue. And that is something that we covered yesterday with E.J. and Tony. A great conversation actually that I had with the Heritage Foundation's lead economist. The Blockade is now fully implemented. By the way, if you missed that conversation with E.J., we have gone ahead and put that up as a podcast. That was yesterday in the five o'clock hour. And the Blockade is now fully implemented. What that means is that Iran is losing a ton of money. Sure, they could threaten the Red Sea. But here's the deal is that they right now, they can't deal with the opening of their own Strait of Hormuz. We've got it closed. They can't open it back up. So my question would be this, okay, Iran, so you're talking smack about the Red Sea. Well, you're not able to get the Strait of Hormuz open back up. Even though you were talking big about that, how are you going to close the Red Sea? So Iran, more and more, they're looking like paper tigers. And what I mean by that is, and I know that they are a force to be reckoned with. Please understand that I know that I'm not taking their military lightly. Hey there, I'm Paula Pan. I help people make the smartest money decisions possible. Joe, you know what's been great about being a saver? More money in the bank. And that money over the past couple of years has made a pretty good yield. Pre-pandemic, money was making zero. Now it's actually making something, but that's starting to go down, down, down. I love how we can play the fact that inflation has been really high as a positive. But if you're a saver, you know what that means? Cha-ching. Silver lining, Joe, silver lining. Afford anything. Follow and listen on your favorite platform. But I think that they know that they're, they're losing. Now whether or not it's going to be a couple of days, a couple of weeks, a couple of months, I don't know. I would like it to be as soon as possible because I would like our gas prices to go back down. But the blockade is now fully implemented. That means that Iran is losing roughly 435, 450 million dollars every single day. So this means that, yeah, we'll see the war hopefully end sooner than later. We've all been talking about how much money Iran is losing every single day. So when I was talking to EJ yesterday, again, lead economist for the Heritage Foundation, by the way, this is audio only. He did say that those numbers jive, but Iran isn't the only country that is being hurt by all of this. This is more from EJ and Tony. Part of the problem here is the fact that the only crude that was essentially getting through previously, the getting through the straight, was Iranian crude. Obviously they're not going to stop their own ships from getting through. So aside from the few other ships that on which they were charging a toll for safe passage, it was primarily Iranian crude and they were shipping more than before the war. Not only that, but they were obviously doing so at much higher prices. So this was clearly a move aimed at hurting the Iranians financially, but unfortunately it's also hurting the rest of the world, including us. I mean, that is true. But the question remains for how long? Because what Donald Trump basically is trying to do is he is trying to force the issue with Iran so that it ends sooner than later. I mean, we could sit here and play cat and mouse with Iran's blockade of this trade of Hormuz. I love that Donald Trump says, screw it, we're going to take charge and that is exactly what we did. Now, yes, gas and oil prices, they have gone down since the ceasefire. They keep, you know, going back up, back down because our prices, of course, here in America, tied to global markets. Now, personally, I have said the reason why Donald Trump is doing this is to get the war done quickly, taking over the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. He knows short term pain, but get it over with. You strangle Iran's economy. This ends quickly. The Strait ultimately then opens back up. What about all of those ships coming to America to fill up on American oil? We did speak about that with E.J. Antony as well. Here's part of what he said, but I mean, I'm going to spare you the expense. Basically, he said, yeah, that's great, but we don't have enough oil to make up for what is not flowing through this Strait of Hormuz. We've got to grapple with the fact that it's hurting us and it's hurting the rest of the world, certainly far more because of these higher oil prices. And we see all of these super tankers that are now coming to the Gulf to fill up with American crude. The problem is that we just don't have enough to meet that demand. We don't have any excess capacity because for four years, Biden did everything he could to strangle America's oil and natural gas industries. Even if we literally exported all of our oil and we never even kept literally any for ourselves, which obviously is impossible, right? But even if we did that, it would only account. It would only be about half of all the crude that was previously flowing through the Strait of Hormuz. So again, it's not a demand that we have any kind of excess capacity with which we could actually meet, unfortunately. So it's just unclear in terms of who is going to cry uncle first and which side this is really going to do more damage to in the long run. I don't know. I think they're going to cry uncle first. I think that they want to have a conversation, another one, with America. I do believe that they're going to have a different attitude than the first time around. But here's the thing. You really don't know what's going to happen because oftentimes, and Chris made the great point yesterday, and it is certainly true, that President Trump saying things like the war is going to be over very quickly and in the next couple of days. And we've heard all of those promises before. And so I guess for me, my point is going to be we'll believe it when we see it, right? I'll believe it when I see it. Do I think that the president made the right move by going into the Strait of War moves and basically taking it over? Absolutely. People are making the joke about, oh, well, Donald Trump is blockading the blockade. What I mean, and they're saying it is a joke. I'm not saying it is a joke, friends. I think that it is a brilliant move. I really do. He gave them the opportunity. He gave Iran the opportunity to negotiate in good faith. We saw what happened. So then I think it was literally the very next day, the president came back and he said, okay, then you know what, checkmate, we're going to go ahead and we're going to take over the Strait of War moves because if you're going to hold the world hostage, then what we're going to do is we're going to hold you hostage. And I love that. It just heard President Trump talking about China and how Trump sent a note, a letter to Xi Jinping, president of China, saying, you know what, you really don't want to be sending weapons off to China. Now, the question is, do you believe that China will listen to Donald Trump and say, yeah, you know what, we're not going to send any weapons to Iran? I believe that China will not. And here's why. Because right now they're getting screwed. China is getting screwed in the oil markets because they were getting a lot of their oil, obviously from Iran. We've talked about that incessantly. So if China starts to or continues to send weapons to Iran, well, then here's the problem. Then China is elongating the war. And that would mean that their oil troubles will continue. And they don't want that. They want this over with. So China sending weapons to Iran will do nothing but make the war last longer. That is not in their best interest. They'll be paying more for oil in the long run, the longer that this war goes. So I did ask EJ and Tony yesterday about how China is being negatively impacted by all of this. Oh, certainly it does. You know, China was getting a lot of its oil from Iran. And look, Iran was another case where they were having to sell because of sanctions. They were having to sell oil under the table at a discount. And when Iranian crude was the only thing actually getting through the strait, that discount went away and their oil was actually selling at a premium to the global benchmark of Brent crude. So again, they were another one where at least when their crude was flowing through the strait, they were selling for substantially more than they were before. And they were selling a lot more. So their oil revenues were also exploding. Now what's happening is all of these nations that used to get their crude, whether it was from Iran or from other nations in the Middle East, now they're having to go elsewhere for it. That's why you have all those super tankers coming to the Gulf. That is why oil prices everywhere have exploded. It is a global market at the end of the day. Yep. And that is, as he has said, and I've said many times, that is why our prices have gone up. There was a moment on CNN. It's a Scott Jennings moment, and it's a great moment. Joan, have you heard the phrase dooming? Dooming? Dooming? Yeah. So apparently, I bet you Sam has heard it. Have you heard of the phrase dooming, where somebody talks about how they are dooming? Do you know what that means? I mean, just like being in super negative. Yes, talking about how much everything sucks. Now, I guess they call it dooming on the socials. Really need to hit that ing on the dooming. Dooming. Right. So anyway, there's a woman named Val Demings, and she was dooming on CNN, practically basically claiming victory, they say, for the Iranian regime. Scott Jennings had a few things to say about that. Val Demings, by the way, I would describe her basically as a Democrat hack. And here is part of how that conversation went, and it didn't go well for Val Demings. Negotiations failed. We don't know if they will start up again. There's a blockade, yes, and it's effective. But it's not benefiting the United States in terms of access or any of our allies around the world. So where is the victory there? This woman's a nim-kum poop, a numbskull, a dummy. Man, this is a moron in the mornings. So fact check true. So here's the thing, she's saying Val Demings and then all that Scott Jennings do his magic. But where is the victory there? Okay, so here's the thing. Val, is it, is that Donald Trump is doing this so that we will have a victory? When she says where is the victory there in America taking over the Strait of Hormuz, well this clearly means that we are squeezing Iran, which means an end to the war quickly. That means that gas prices will go back down. It means that Iran will never have a nuclear weapon. That is the victory. Val? I said these people are just, I mean I get it, there's a debate to be had, but you have to at least admit that we are moving towards a resolution that would ultimately result in a denuclearized Iran, the opening of the Strait of Hormuz, more oil going into the global market. Because Iran, because if they're no longer nuclearized, then no more sanctions and that ultimately would mean that gasoline prices would go down. But don't tell that to a dooming Democrat. Do you want us to win? Do you want us to defeat these people? I always want the U.S. to win. Because no, you don't, Val, because if it's good for Donald Trump, you want America to lose. Because your TDS is so incredibly deeply embedded in what's left of your Democrat soul, you absolutely would want the United States to lose if a victory meant that Donald Trump would have something good to say about what he did on the world stage. It sounds to me like you are cheering for a bad outcome. Could you define what when looks like? All you can seem to do is define negativity. Here's what when looks like. These fanatics don't get a nuclear weapon. Period. That's all right. But the president said that it didn't happen. American people deserve to know why our troops are there. What is it exactly that we're fighting for? We're going to stop them from getting a nuclear weapon. She's not very smart. I just, whatever. Remind me how much Scott Jennings makes on CNN. It's like a couple million. Not enough. Well, I mean, you're right, Joan. Whatever Scott Jennings makes, it's not enough. But that man deserves every penny for dealing with these Democrats. But here's the thing. When they're throwing down talking points like that, I mean, good Lord, man, it's so easy. That is a short putt for a guy like Scott Jennings. And bottom line is, it's almost like she's using talking points from several weeks ago, as a matter of fact, as well. So anyway, for me, I think if it's a victory for Donald Trump, the Democrats don't want it. Even if it's a victory for America, they would much rather see America lose than see Donald Trump and the Republicans get a victory, certainly heading into the midterm elections. Afford anything.
