Kail and Lindsie discuss co-parenting challenges, parental equity in childcare responsibilities, and dive deep into the recently released Epstein files, analyzing connections between high-profile figures and implications for companies like LifeTouch that serve millions of children.
Insights
- Default parenting burden falls disproportionately on mothers even in modern co-parenting arrangements, creating resentment when equity isn't present
- Co-parenting tools like shared calendars and clear communication protocols reduce conflict and improve child outcomes
- The Epstein files reveal systemic vulnerabilities in companies with access to children's data, raising urgent questions about corporate vetting and oversight
- Conspiracy theories often contain kernels of truth that get distorted; dismissing them entirely may cause people to miss legitimate red flags
- Legal separation doesn't automatically constitute infidelity if both parties have agreed the relationship is over and maintain no intimate contact

Good morning, kitty cat. Welcome back to another episode of Coffee Convos Podcast. Good morning. I got my Boy Aquarium fan club merch on. I'm still wearing big back. Matt and I want to do ice hockey for our next activity together. And so I feel like this was the perfect opportunity. That is the perfect opportunity for me to wear the Boy Aquarium merch to go do ice hockey things. okay so let me tell you you know how we are now cold calling each other where we used to like not do that we would text and be like hey can you talk yeah now it's just like a cold call yes okay so I was on the phone with Will the other day and he was like going through some stuff with me about like his travel days and whatever and I said hey I've got to go Kiel's calling and he was like y'all sure do seem to talk a lot what are y'all talking about don't worry about it Willard don't worry about it he said well when you get on the phone with her tell her that that video of her on that horse is one of the funniest fucking things I've ever seen in my life well oh my god someone texted who the fuck texted me oh it was Becky so after she recorded on the southern team she asked me do you like Will her ex I said yeah he's great that was my response okay wait I also have to tell you something else it's really funny so remember that like flick off gnome that you sent me as a gift? Yeah. Okay. So I put it in Will's yard, but I didn't tell him that it was there. So he's just like out strolling around in his house one day and he's like, what the fuck? Like who did, did a teenager do this or whatever? And I just kind of let it ride for months. Well, Jackson tells me this story that one of Will's neighbors was in the driveway talking to him and was like, did you see what's in your yard? And he's like, yeah, the gnome that's like flicking people off. And they're like, yeah, did somebody do that to you? And he was like, yeah, my fucking ex-wife. So exactly to troll you. So then I'm driving in the Bronco down the road and I hear just something slamming around in the back of my car. No, he didn't. No, he didn't. My son did. He took it out of the yard and put it in my car so he could put it in my yard. It's the traveling gnome. We had this thing growing up in my family. I know a lot of people think I don't have any fucking family members, right? But up until I was about 13, I spent Christmas with my mom's side of the family. I have grandparents, aunts, uncles, older cousins. I was always the only like lonesome one by myself. And so there was this like tradition that we had that was these really fucking ugly, like gnome looking Santas that would go around in our family. And we would each, I mean, I didn't get to really participate because I was so young, but like I knew the adults did it. And it was like around Christmas time, they would, somebody would ultimately gift somebody else in the family, these ugly fucking Santa, I don't know if they were like gnomes or what they were, like old candles that like, somebody always got them. And that was like the thing that was going on. I'll have to ask my cousin later if they still do that. Cause obviously as like the family kind of started going their separate ways, like the traditions changed and stuff like that. But I'll have to ask if they still do that because that is so funny that where's the gnome now? Did y'all throw it away? No. So Jackson forgot that he put it in the back of my car and I just heard it like rattling around back there. So I'm like, you've got to be kidding me. I can't get rid of this thing. So when I went to go pick Jackson up off the bus, I just got out of the car and put it back in Will's yard. And then he saw it the other day. We like ran into each other in the driveway and he was like, go away. Just go away. Go away. And I just love that gnome so much. It has been such a gift that just keeps on giving. I think I need to start this tradition at Killer Network where I start some kind of weird, ugly, like gnome situation. Not a gnome specifically, but I need to do like a gag gift of some sort. And I just start the tradition at Killer Network. And it's just like every time we do a crossover or every time there's a holiday, we just like take turns sending it to each other. And like, that's the joke. But I don't know what it would be. It's kind of like it's giving, it's giving like class pet or like the class teddy bear that you used to take home. You know what I mean? I never got to take anything home. What? Oh, honey. I'm going to have to find the picture of me in kindergarten where I got to bring the glass, the class bear home with me for the weekend. And my grandparents took a million pictures with me with that thing, because I must've been so excited. And then we used to have, I can't remember what the class pet was, but you got to take it home. Like each person got to take it home for a weekend. My kids better never bring home a class pet. Well, if they do, I can promise you they're going to be so excited. I do need to ask you a question as a mom and anybody who's listening, that's a mom. Do you prefer to be the one to take your kids to like their doctor's appointments, dentist appointments, all the things and not the dads? I don't care if the dads tag along, the dads can come, but I love to be the one that takes them. I also, contrary to popular belief, I also prefer to be the one to take them to school and stuff. And they also prefer that. But But so Rio has to go to the dentist for something that I need them to check out. And then so does Lincoln. And I literally texted Rebecca because I was like, she does my scheduling. Otherwise, I'll overbook myself and triple book myself. I said, I don't care if the dads come, but it needs to be a time where I can take them. So let whoever needs to let, you know, Javi know, let Elijah know whatever they need to know. But like, I need to be the one that takes them. the other day. So Valley, I think, did I say it on this podcast that Valley has a peanut allergy? No, you didn't. You never told me that. So none of my kids have ever, knock on wood, never been allergic to anything like peanuts or like bees. Yes. Pollen, that kind of grass, that kind of thing. This is the first time I've ever experienced a peanut allergy. And so Valley, I guess tried like a chocolate covered peanut and had a reaction to it. And so, um, immediately I call Elijah and I'm like, Hey, like this happened, whatever. And he tells me, um, his dad has, uh, um, an allergy to, to nuts with, with skin on them, which I didn't even know that was like, there was a differentiation there. Like, I didn't know that was like a thing. And so I was like, okay, like I have to call the allergist. Well, the allergist didn't open, And I guess they were closed for whatever reason on that, on that Friday. So he calls the pediatrician and he makes an appointment. It's my week with the kids. And so I'm like, I get a text on my, I see it on my watch. Like, thank you for making an appointment for Valley, whatever, whatever. And so I call Elijah because I, now I'm freaking out because I need to also be there. Like I would like to also be there. And he's like, well, I'm on my way right now. And I'm like, uh, also don't know what a pediatrician could do versus an allergist. Cause they're just going to refer us out to the allergist anyway. And we don't, my specific insurance, I don't need referrals. I can just call a specialist and they like, yeah, that's just the EPO that I have. So we didn't need a referral or anything. And so I'm like, ah, like you, you can cancel it. Like I'll just call with the allergist, which is ultimately what we decided to do. But yeah, I, especially for the peanut allergy, like I needed to be there also, like both of us need to be there. I don't think that Will has been to a pediatrician appointment since Jackson was no I take that back he has but like actually gone with me to like be there for something that was important other than like a med check since he was six months old that man has never been to the dentist with Jackson ever one time never knows when any of the appointments are is that just a mom thing though I don't know I that I don't know um Javi and I do a shared calendar now so for anyone that's listening to this, I don't give a relationship advice, but I can give some co-parenting tips that work. Um, we do a shared calendar on like the Apple. So if you go on my phone, I have like my schedule and then anything that involves Lincoln is in a different color that Javi and I can both see. So it makes it way easier. So like this Friday it has when I'm meeting Javi to drop Lincoln off in Virginia, it has that, it has a glow dance that Lincoln's going to do. It has all of his sports stuff and we share it. Um, for Elijah, Rebecca, if Rebecca makes an appointment for any of the three kids with him, or I make an appointment with any of the three kids for him with him, either me or Rebecca will always let Elijah know. And typically he does show up to everything. Um, typically if he's working, obviously I'm not upset in any way. Will's really good about the sports thing, but that is what he has allotted in the parenting plan that he has like 100% control over. As far as doctor's appointments and stuff, I don't know how you feel about it. I'm not going to inconvenience somebody else to like meet me at the dentist. I don't think it's like necessary unless there was some type of like dental procedure or something like that. I was saying all of that to say, I'm always doing the doctor's appointments and tomorrow is going to be like the first day and probably since the beginning of January that I've had to myself to take care of stuff that I need to have done outside of just like my standard doctor's appointments. And so I'm going to the med spa and I wanted to have multiple things done at the med spa tomorrow, but Jackson has a one o'clock dentist appointment. So the first time that they could get me in was 1115. And they were like, you can come for this service. And then you can come back later in the day for these other services. So my day that I thought was going to be a full med spa day, and I was treating it as the spa has turned into a fucking shit show because I'm going for a facial 1115. Then I've got to drive all the way back towards my house from this place, get Jackson from the school for a one o'clock appointment, then go back to the med spa with my 13 year old boy. And I think that sometimes it's like the default parent, right? Like it's just more, it's just easier across the board for me to just do it. Like it makes more sense, maybe depending on the other parent's schedule. And this could be the opposite, right? Because there are stay at home dads, it could be the opposite where, you know, the mom is working and the dad's doing all the things and that's just easier. But sometimes that's just not the case. Like if Will's working, cause I know he's in sales, like that is, I mean, you're putting in a lot of hours for that. So like, if it just makes sense for you to do it, it just makes sense. But I think when there's like not equal equity in the parenting or equal equity in the relationship, that's where it gets like, okay, I'm resentful. And I am resentful because it's like these people think that you're this like five-star dad and you're not in any way, shape or form. Like, yeah, you might not be in the drama, but you're also not involved in your kid's life either. So there's a fine line for sure. There is such a fine line and resentment is such a real thing. And if you don't get a grasp on it, it truly can control your life and your way of thinking. Yeah, it can, and it can take over. And I just, I don't know. I go back and forth with it because there are certain things and I'm like, I want to be the one. I love being a default. I love, you know, that my kids trust me to talk to me about all the things. I love that my parents, my kids come to me usually first for everything. But I also, it's like, it's exhausting too, right? Like I didn't make these kids by myself and you didn't make Jackson by yourself. And so sometimes it's like, can you just do a little bit of the work, like to show up? Anyone who's a parent knows feeding decisions aren't a one-time thing. You make them again and again, stage after stage. And too often the options out there, whether you're feeding a baby, a toddler or a big kid, just don't meet the standards for what you want for your child. That's why we're talking about Little Spoon. I'm not turning back anytime soon. It's one trusted place to shop meals and snacks for babies, toddlers and big kids, all made with real ingredients without having to rethink every single choice and lower your standard at each milestone. And it shows up at your door. It takes one big decision off your plate without compromising on what's important to you and your kids. We're talking about baby stage, toddler stage. Little Spoon supports babies from their very first feed with the baby cereal and baby blends when solids begin. First bites, first spoons, all of it. And then the toddler stage, when kids enter that toddler stage where they're starting to figure out what they like and what they don't like, there's no need to start from scratch because biteables are cut to size, pinchable meals that make the transition to table food so much easier. And all baby and toddler recipes are tested for 500 plus contaminants, including heavy metals. They also have puffs, which are a perfect snack for toddlers. And I have three toddlers. The big kid stage. As appetites and opinions grow, so does Little Spoon. They have plates that are heat and eat meals with superfoods and hidden veggies. Feeding kids doesn't have to be complicated. Little Spoon makes it easy with real, nutritionally balanced meals and snacks designed for every stage. It shows up ready to go, takes the pressure off you, and somehow still gets devoured. Veggies and all. No artificial dyes, flavors, or sweeteners either. And you know what? That's a win I'll take every time. I mean, it was guns blazing, honey. Over what though? In a parking lot. I mean, this was like some real trash shit. like knock down, drag out. Knock down, drag out verbally. That's right. No, no hands were thrown. No hands were thrown during this exchange, but Will was out of town all last week. And I don't know how you feel about this, but we both work from home and sometimes he has sales conferences or he's got to go and see a client in another state or whatever. And those are normally like turnaround trips. Sales conferences normally last for an entire week. So I had Jackson, I was just getting over the flu, had Jackson Monday to Monday because of his work schedule. And I had previously sent text messages and I was like, Hey, you need to be looking at his fingernails and toenails and make sure that they're cut every single week because I don't like seeing raggedy fingernails and toenails. he's like well he's 13 so he's gonna learn to cut them himself I don't think I cut my fingernails at 13 by myself but I don't know if I did girls are different but it's really like not that hard to just like cut the fingernails and toenails so then you know we went through the perm phase and we were gonna grow our hair out and then we were trying to grow it out again and deciding if we were gonna get another perm or whatever well it got to the point where when your hair is all the way down to the like bridge of your nose I sorry but like we getting a haircut because if you not perming it it not staying that long Fair I kept telling Will Hey it a really hard thing to go and take him to get his haircut because he's always bitching and complaining and moaning and carrying on. I don't like to be the one that has to do it every time. Can we just agree that like every other time you take him one time and then I take him one time fair. Right. Okay. Nope. Still didn't do it. So Friday rolls around and I'm like, I'll be damned if I come to this house and I look at his hair like this all weekend. So meet me at the barbershop, meet him at the barbershop. Mind you, I've had Jackson from Monday to Monday. Nails weren't cut the previous week. Hair wasn't cut. I've also had the dogs. So I just told him about himself. I just told him about himself. And he was like what the fuck like what is wrong with you like it's not that no what is wrong with me is you i am the same like the you can ask anyone because i don't give a fuck if someone's at my house i don't care if it's ike kelsey pop up and tata rebecca i don't care who it is if you come over to my house on a sunday and i have just gotten my kids back one of the first things i do after they take a bath or a shower is i'm clipping nails i'm cleaning ears i'm doing all of those nasty things because I don't know if it's just like a man thing or what if I get Elliot back and he hasn't clipped his nails all week at his dad's go fucking cut your nails and check your toenails while you're at it if you think that you're walking around with toes and fingers that look like you can use those nails to climb a tree no no the haircut thing is a very touchy subject for me because, um, one of the dads, y'all can figure it out on your own. Um, hasn't taken his kid for a haircut at least 10 years, doesn't schedule them, doesn't pay for them, doesn't anything. Well, on this one particular week, I could not physically take the child. And so sent, sent it to the dad. And now mind you, the barber is a close friend of the family. and this dad goes there and at the end of the haircut he said did kale pay for this already yeah see that's where i draw the line that's where i get resentful that is where i get resentful actually the fact that you are a man and you have a son and i have been scheduling the haircuts why are we scheduling it and you're not taking him as the father like you already have to go to a barbershop or you should, or you could, or regardless, you have done this yourself. No. And these are the same dads. Now I'm going to go off, go off on a tangent because these are the same fucking dads that always talk shit that my house is chaotic. I have a revolving door of men. Well, what are you doing? What are you doing? Cause you don't have that. You don't have a revolving door of somebody, of people. You don't have, um, seven children to take care of. Why are you not scheduling the appointments then? Any fucking appointments, not just the haircuts, but any fucking appointments. Don't sit here and talk about my house is chaotic, but I'm the one that's still running and ripping around the fucking state of Delaware to get them where they need to be. Where are you? I just had to tell somebody the other day, don't worry about what's going on at my fucking house. Worry about what you're not doing. Worry about what you are not doing. Mind your fucking business and stay out of my lane. Well, I'm bitter because you have these people out here believing that you're a better dad than you are. You're a piece of shit. This episode is bitter baby mama. That is exactly what this is. Okay. I do need to ask you a question about basketball and just like your thoughts. Do your kids play rec? Yes, they play rec. We have done travel ball as well. Would you recommend or no? In Atlanta, I would think that you are probably going to have better luck with travel ball than here. We've tried two separate AAU basketball teams. And if I'm being fully transparent they both sucked um full like I'm talking thousands of dollars and ripping and running all over the tri-state area around here and we got crushed 65-0 against Ohio okay like it's not I don't know if it's the coaching I don't know if it's the kids chemistry I don't know if it's a combination of both I don't know if it needs to be we need to be practicing five days a week I don't know because when I played lacrosse in high school I was playing I was we had practice five days a week. And then we had practice on one of the days, whether it was a weekday or a Saturday. So we were playing lacrosse six days a week. And so I don't know what the commitment level is for Jackson, but for AAU, if you're going to spend thousands and thousands of dollars, you have to have practice, in my opinion, three to four times a week minimum, because what else is the point? So I think my problem with rec now is that, and I want to say this like very carefully, everybody can play, right? And everybody should be able to play that wants to play. Problem is, is the rec leagues and the rules, every kid gets to play for the same amount of time. they are they have not won one game all season and this has been kind of it sounds dramatic but kind of like tragic for him because every other team that he's ever played on they've had winning seasons and then to to be oh and eight very upsetting um jackson how many times a week did you say they practice they only practice one day a week and the league rules only allows for practice and organized practice one day a week. Same for us. So there's no, I get, I'm going to assume that it's so that there's no advantage for any team that one team can't like organize four practices. And then the other teams only organize one. I don't know what the deal is, but haven't been super impressed last night. Of course, I know, you know how the playoff schedule works. You find out playoff games, like very last minute found out last night at like nine o'clock that he has a game tonight, first round of playoffs at single elimination while they're 0-8. So you tell me. I mean, here's the thing too, though, like me having tried travel football, travel basketball, travel soccer, and also rec, like I keep my kids in rec no matter what all year round, just to give them something to do, keep them out of trouble, stay in shape kind of deal. I feel like you have to, when you're choosing what organization to go with for kids sports, you kind of have to decide what your goals are, right? Like if you're trying to improve skill and like you want them, like they're wanting to play in high school and college and possibly look at scholarships and things like that, I feel like you have to look at AAU or if you're going to do rec, you have to look at like doing clinics and training sessions one-on-one throughout the week. But if you're looking to just keep your kids in shape and just have fun, then going with the rec league is fine. But if you go rec, you have to know that it's, you're not going to get a whole lot out of it. It's more just like for funsies. I get it. I think we're just kind of like past the point of funsies. And now it's come to the conversation of Will's like, you're going to be busy. You're going to be booked and busy every season. So you're going to be playing something. So you're going to play football when it comes fall. And Jackson's like, I have no interest in playing football. I don't want to play football. Mom, please tell him that I do not want to play football. I don't want to do it. And I'm like, okay, well, we've got to find a meet in the middle because that is like his part of the parenting plan. He can enroll him in something every season. So I can't tell him no. How do you feel about Jackson not wanting to participate in that sport? Because we have rec leagues for basketball all year round. So it might not technically be basketball season, but there's a rec league somewhere that's doing basketball. So like, why does he have to play football if he doesn't want to play football? I'm having a really hard struggle with it because Will specifically and explicitly told me, do not interfere because that is what he has control over and he's allowed to enroll him in whatever he wants to each season. So Jackson was talking to me about it and I said, maybe you need to go and have a conversation with your dad that he wants to be a part of this basketball. It's like a basketball gym. And I think like a couple of the Hawks players co-own it with another private investor and they run a whole like training facility. They run camps out of there. They run a travel league out of there. And so I told him, I said, if you don't want to play football, maybe you need to go to your dad and say, hey, well, instead of playing football on the days that I would be practicing for that, Can you take me to this place so that I can improve skill on basketball? Because that's the only sport I want to play. Coffee Combos podcast is sponsored by BetterHelp. I know it feels like in Q1, things are just getting situated. I know that's how it is for me. So do you and Will disagree on Jackson speaking up for himself? Because you have already known my history of like Elliot specifically years and years and years ago. I think he was like Lux's age. I felt like he should be able to voice his opinions more on which house he wanted to be at. If he wanted to be with Joe more, he could stay there with Joe more. If he wanted to be here more, he could be here more. And Joe didn't agree. He was too young for that. Eventually, I understood. Now that I'm in a situation with Lincoln, same thing. I don't want Lincoln to choose that type of thing. But when it comes to letting the other parent know, how do you teach your kids when to speak up to their adult parent versus the other adult parent handling it? So Jackson's Play Therapist told us when we were going through the co-parenting counseling, regardless of the age, as long as it's a minor child, to make the decision whether it's a need or a want. And then that's how you determine if the child goes to the other parent or if you do. Okay. So a need, would the parent go to them? Mm-hmm. And if it's a want, the child would. so if Elliot for example says um I want to go to dinner with my friends on this day but I'm with dad um and he asks me it's like well obviously that's you're not asking the right person but it's going to the other parent and asking him himself let's say for example there have been times that it's come up and it's actually come up on both ends where Jackson's like hey I'm just gonna can is it okay if I just stay here one more day and it's not a school day or whatever like yeah like if I'm not doing anything. I don't have anything planned. Yeah, I don't care. Will, same way. I think your situation is different because y'all don't align. But then how are we teaching? If that's the case, then how are we teaching our kids to advocate for themselves at all? Because eventually you're going to be, yes, you will always share that child and always be parents to him, right? Regardless of what his age is. But how are you teaching your child to properly advocate for themselves and building that individual relationship with the other parent, you're, once that child's 18, you're not going to be having those communications. So why wouldn't he be trying to build that relationship with him to where he feels comfortable to be able to come to him? Because eventually there won't be mom in a situation. He'll be grown and you don't have to communicate that stuff. When Jackson, Jackson's 13. So when he becomes 15, 16 years old, we'll say 16, because maybe that's when he's going to start driving 16. And you guys have your whatever's in your custody, your parenting plan, right? And Jackson now is at the age where he can drive between houses. Is your door always going to be open for him? Or will he need to ask before he comes to your house? Will he need to check in with you to see if you, if he can be with you or show up on a day that you're not, um, not necessarily home. Will he need to check in with you, um, for permission for things like that? I'm, I feel the same way. I, to me, if I like don't have my kids and they come and they're there, like, I don't like my home is your home. You show up whenever the fuck you want. I don't care. Um, if it's my time or not, if you come to my house, I don't care if it's unannounced. This is your home. I mean, I know that stuff will eventually come up whenever they start driving. That's just growing up and that's just kids being kids and their desires and wants and needs are going to change over time. Jackson prefers to have sleepovers here. So when he's 16 years old and he and his friends are driving, you're more than welcome to come over. Now, do I probably need to know if you're bringing other kids in this house yeah probably so but you're getting out of school and you just want to come over here for a while that's not an issue to me I can't get behind something like that um your kids or your kids regardless on you know your parenting days or not you're still a parent and so I know for a fact without even asking Will if I presented him this scenario he would say the exact same thing that you and I are saying yeah I don't like it's not Yeah. To me, I don't care whose parenting time it is. My door is revolving for my children. It could be whatever. I don't care. Come to my house whenever. Literally sleep in my room whenever. My door ain't a revolving door for a man, but it will always be a revolving door for my child. Period. Wait, are you watching the Olympics? No, I didn't even know they were happening. So the 2026 Winter Olympics are going on. I didn't know there was two sets. Is there like a different set of Olympics? yeah there is um this one specifically the winter olympics since we're in the winter um i have not watched any of the olympics and the last time i think that i watched the olympics was back in like the nancy kerrigan days remember when that whole thing happened with the ice incident you need to read actually listen to it Lane Fargo book The Favorites The Favorites by Lane Fargo You need to read it It about the Olympic ice athletes And the book was I was invested in the drama. The drama, the lore behind Olympic ice skaters is truly insane. And like Lane Fargo goes into it. Like it was all like inspired by true events. Like you need to go down this rabbit hole because that book is chef's kiss. I listened to it. The audio was so good. Um, I wonder if there's still drama in the Olympics today. I'm certain that there probably is and I'm going to, can I download that on my Kindle? Yeah, girl. Okay. So I'm going to be reading that because I was very invested in the Nancy Kerrigan drama and saga of that Olympics. I haven't watched the Olympics since don't plan to I was about to say that the drama was with Monica Lewinsky but I forget that's the person that sucked Bill Clinton's dick that wasn't an Olympic wait but there was there was an Olympic figure skater that was like a not Monica Lewinsky but like another inski yeah it was like some inski but I was about to say Monica Lewinsky and all these bitches on here listening they were going to be like that bitch thinks that she was an ice skater when she was really sucking bill clinton's dick hold on most famous olympic olympic figure skaters of all time one of them is a ski right no michelle kwan peggy fleming and Dorothy Hamill but like where's the look up Nancy Nancy I knew it I fucking knew it became the youngest Olympic gold medalist in 1998 and was that the one that had the the disagreement with no the Olympic ice skating scandal was with um Nancy Kerrigan she orchestrated okay so the major that mind you i get to talk to lane fargo about this on barely famous podcast about this book because this is where it all came from yes so i'm talking to lane and she's giving me the tea right okay so it was the major olympic ice skating scandals that include the 1994 attack on nancy kerrigan and this was all orchestrated by tanya harding's ex-husband Tanya Harding. Yes. And the 2002 Salt Lake City Paris judging collusion. So basically what happened was before the Lil' Hammer games, Tanya Harding's ex-husband, Jeff, hired an assailant to break Nancy Kerrigan's knee to prevent her from competing. You know what? That's a level of commitment to your spouse, but also that's so fucked up. but yeah so she's telling me all this stuff in real time and i was so fucking invested i first of all didn't even know the favorites was an ice skating book like i just went into it blindly if you're into the lore of that whole thing read the fucking book listen to it specifically listen if that happened that happened in 1994 is that what you're saying i was into that kind of shit when i was like five years old i didn't even know what happened until i read the book i also was allowed to watch like 902 whenever my dad went to bed when I was five. I'm like, no wonder that's what's wrong with me. You know what I mean? Pretty sure the first screen movie came out when I was seven and I watched it with my mom and my stepdad in the living room. That's basically illegal. Should be. Wait, wait, wait. Did you see, you're going to be so excited about this. Did you see that McDonald's has added Big Mac sauce is a dipping option. I will be dipping everything from McDonald's and Mac sauce. I was going through the McDonald's drive-thru like one night I was by myself. I think Jackson had basketball practice or something. And I was like, I just kind of need like a little snack. So I go through the McDonald's drive-thru and Kayla had called me and I placed my little order and it was for four nugs four nugs she goes what the fuck are you doing with four nuggets yeah four is kind of crazy four is like I'm all about the kids meal but like let's get the six piece nugget meal because the four piece that's like for a toddler not if you just need like a little you know tide me over because I don't want to be too full when I go to bed but like I'm hungry enough to eat something, you know? Yeah. Okay. We need to get into the Epstein files. You got to update me. Tell me all the things. Okay. So before we get into this, I have been like knee deep in the Epstein files for days. Okay. And some of the TikToks that took me out are these men that are also invested in reading all of the documents on the Epstein files saying, when I went to go and read them, I was asked if I was 18 or older. And what do you mean? Because the people that are on those files are not 18 or older. Like the victims? Yeah. They're like, why are you asking me if I'm 18 or older? Because I want to read this, but you weren't worried about people not being 18 or older. So when we first started covering this whole situation on Coffee Combos with Ghislaine Maxwell and then obviously Epstein himself, we learned that Ghislaine was basically helping to traffic young girls to Epstein. I actually saw a video of her that surfaced on TikTok and I don't know who turned it over but it was a prison video and the cell that she's in and that entire situation just does not look good. And since all of this has come out, she did allegedly say that she would give information to our sitting president or to whomever if she's granted clemency. Is clemency the same thing as immunity? Basically a pardon. What's so strange is some of the people that have been listed, I'm like, wait a minute, how would they have ever even been connected to Epstein period? But then sometimes I think with like other well-known people, it's like everybody knows everybody. So I don't know. The, the one that really took me out was the CEO of Chuck E. Cheese. Oh, see, that makes sense to me. It makes sense. That the CEO of Chuck E. Cheese makes sense to me, which he did step down, which is, I know. I saw that. The thing of itself is concerning because now you're admitting guilt. I don't know what else to say other than admitting guilt. Secondly, I saw the Life Touch, the CEO or an exec of Life Touch Photography, which is the person that takes all of our kids' pictures across the nation, not all. I've seen something about Jostin's yearbook. People that created that business or are all affiliated or under the same umbrella as Life Touch and things like that, they are involved, which now with the technology of AI and the pictures in your books and the pictures that you take of our kids at schools, like you can do a lot of things with that. And it's terrifying, but Chuck E. Cheese. So try to follow the bouncing ball here. Following. When you get pulled over or you get, you're, you become a person of interest in a crime and they want to question you and you're innocent, 1000% innocent, but you've been taught to ask for legal immediately because depending on where you're at, what state you're in, cops can either A, lie to you to get information out of you. They can insinuate certain things so they can get information out of you. Obviously, it's not across the board in all states, but the lie detector, things like that, having counsel whether you are guilty or innocent is important. A lot of people will say, well, they asked for a lawyer right away. They must be guilty. Same thing, same sort of concept with the stepping down as CEO. Do you feel like someone's admitting guilt by doing that? Or do you feel like they're doing the right thing for the company because they might be innocent, but they don't want the company to suffer? Everybody's going to look at it in one way, that it's somewhat of an admission of guilt because that person did it regardless of the circumstances of why they did it. Like, you've got to consider Chuck E. Cheese would have board members that, you know, sit on the board of the company of Chuck E. Cheese. And maybe it was just collectively decided with the board members and an attorney that because his name was in the Epstein files, that it, you know, him stepped down. Do you think that was an admission of guilt? Because I do. Personally on that one, yes. Do I think in every scenario that if you're like, for example, when I was watching the Alessandra and I talked about this, but when I was watching the Skylar Richardson situation, going into an interview with police when you're being accused of whatever crime, in my opinion, I'm not talking to the police without an attorney. Listen, I told my kids to this day, I talk to my kids about stuff like that. I'm like, if there's ever a fucking time where a cop tries to talk to you, you do not talk to them. I don't care if you're innocent, do not speak to them because anything can be twisted. Anything can be seen as an omission of guilt. Anything can be, you know, I don't care. You ask for an attorney, right away. I do not give one single fuck. So speaking of life touch, I found this article and it says in the latest release of emails from the Epstein files, life touch is a name that has appeared again and again, but what exactly is it? And why has the company been listed alongside high profile celebrities and businessmen life touch matters all life touch matters all the more to parents because it's one of the largest school photography services provided in the United States. The company has appeared in the latest edition of the Epstein files made public by the U.S. Department of Justice. Its network also reaches far and wide. LifeTouch operates in tens of thousands of schools each year and photographs millions of children storing these images digitally. Many parents are also unaware that LifeTouch not only photographs children at school, but also collects and retains student information, including whether or not families have purchased the photos. It has been revealed that a former LifeTouch connected executive, Leon Black, was personally involved with the convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. It says LifeTouch, did you know this, is owned by Shutterfly? It just says LifeTouch is owned by Shutterfly, a company acquired by the private equity firm Apollo Global Management in 2019. Apollo was co-founded by Leon Black. He was asked to step down from his position as CEO of Apollo Global in 2021 following scrutiny over his financial ties to Epstein. Leon has stated that he was unaware of Epstein's criminal conduct during their association. I don't know what to say about this because how do we know more companies that we're not affiliated with are not going to come out of this? I know Chappell-Rone, Chappell-Rone or Chappell-Rone, she just left her agency because their name came out in Epstein files. And she said she's not going to be affiliated with that. So she left the agency. Really? Yes. I saw that this morning. I'm also not going to name who made this statement. I will type it to you, but it was in a presser to the United States of America that we probably need to move on. What? It was an oppressor that was issued to the entire United States, including Puerto Rico. That we need to move on from the Epstein files? Yes. No, I think the fuck not. Because I'll tell you what, I'll fucking riot outside my kids' schools if they use Life Touch next year. I will fucking riot. At the point that they were named in this fucking thing at all, why are we going to use them? Why are we not going to support local businesses and let somebody else do it? So allegedly, and I don't know how true like the connection of this is, but allegedly, remember how you used to go could go and get like photos done at JC Penney's? Yeah. And like everybody did it back in the day, right? My parents definitely took me to Penney's all the time to get my photos taken. Okay. Apparently, there is a connection with Life Touch with JC Penney's. Yeah, I would imagine so. life that makes sense because it's like those same backdrops with the very studio very portrait type of pictures I could see that for sure I I don't we didn't have a JCPenney's where I was growing up so it was Kmart but it was same concept oh yeah Kmart had pictures in there too yeah and so that was life touch I don't know I'm truly not shocked by a lot of the names that I saw on there Who do we know so far? We have obviously Epstein himself and Ghislaine Maxwell. We have Trump. As of early February, 2026, Bill and Hillary Clinton have agreed to testify before the Republican-led House Oversight Committee regarding their connections to the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein following months-long legal battle and threats of contempt of Congress proceedings. is that while bill clinton appears and recently released files and photos neither he nor hillary clinton have been accused of criminal wrongdoing but they did okay pbs.org has a list of powerful men named in the epstein files from elon musk to former prince andrew um andrew mount baton windsor sarah ferguson which i have no idea who the fuck that is uh made a public apology for letting Jeffrey Epstein pay off some of her debts. Both she and her ex-husband, the former Chris Andrew, had come under tremendous public scrutiny for continuing a friendly relationship with Epstein after he pleaded guilty to soliciting prostitution from an underage girl. Elon Musk, the billionaire Tesla founder, turns up at least a few times in Friday's document release, notably in email exchanges in 2012 and 2013, in which he discussed visiting Epstein's infamous Caribbean island compound but it's not immediately clear if the island visits took place now i will say that his oldest child i think she her name is vivian or viviana something like that i think she spoke out and she said that she can confirm that they did visit the island at that time Richard Branson he the billionaire founder of the Virgin group He was invited there. Don't know if he went. Wait, is the Virgin group Virgin mobile? I thought it was. Cause I remember like early two thousands with like, like MTV cribs and stuff. I remember seeing something about Virgin mobiles, like founder or something like that. And it says, Branson invited Epstein to his own private Caribbean island, which regularly hosts large conferences, charity events, and business meetings. Quote, anytime you're in the area, I would love to see you. He wrote, quote, as long as you bring your harem. In another message that year, he suggested Epstein rehabilitate his image by convincing Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates to tell the public how Epstein had been a brilliant advisor to him. Donald Trump was named. Bill Clinton, like you said. Stephen Tisch, he's the New York Giants co-owner, is mentioned more than 400 times in the files released on Friday. Casey Wasserman, this is the company that Chapel Roan just left, the agency, the Casey Wasserman. The president and committee for the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles exchanged flirty emails with Epstein's confidant, Ghislaine Maxwell. In a 2003 exchange, Wasserman wrote to Maxwell, I think of you all the time. So what do I have to do to see you in a tight leather outfit? Eud Barak, the former Israeli prime minister and his wife turn up frequently in the documents. Larry Summers, Howard Lutnik, Sergi Brin. I'm not saying all of these people participated in whatever it was that Epstein was participating in, but these are people that were named in files. I don't know who Steve Bannon is. It says a one-time advisor to Trump exchange hundreds of friendly texts with Epstein. Um, a name that I cannot pronounce. When we're talking like social lights and like high profile people, obviously like in our world of reality TV, like we hear rumblings of other stuff about other people. So are you saying that that doesn't go on in different types of social circles that would just be, I guess, considered the elite? Or do you think they're more hush-hush and there's so many NDAs and stuff that are slapped down that people just don't fuck with each other like that? All right, y'all. Let's take a quick second to talk about Rocket Money. This is an app that Kale and I have been using so frequently recently. That's rocketmoney.com slash coffee combos. Rocketmoney.com slash coffee combos. You know, with this list that we just saw or that I just read off, there's not really a connection between these people for what would the connection be outside of something that was happening illegally like what what was the slovakian i think it was the last name that i read was a slovakian prime minister what the fuck business does that person have doing with jeffrey fucking epstein right like like like this is weird like this one sergi Brin or Sergey Brin or Sergey Brin. I don't know how to pronounce it. The billionaire Google co-founder made plans to meet with Epstein and Maxwell at his townhouse in New York years before he was publicly accused of sexually abusing underage girls. What the fuck business would these two people have to be in the same place at the same time or to have any type of like relationship? To me, that's weird. That would be like me being friends with, um, I don't know, like the prime minister of another fucking country, what business would I have having any type of relationship with that person? I mean, like you and me being friends makes sense. You being friends with Matt Matthews makes sense. Like I'm trying to think other people that you're friends with, but the friendships track and make sense. The only thing that I can think of is there's you know political affiliations these are considered like elitist um high profile folks but maybe is it that like all of this shit was going down and maybe nobody told because everybody was doing it and so it's kind of like that mindset of if you don't tell I won't tell well yeah I mean you all think of the times too like technology is not what it is today so they knew, well, this probably won't go anywhere. This probably won't get out. And if it does, we could just cover it up or we could just destroy the evidence because it's not like today a screenshot lives forever. And now there's AI that you can create so much fake evidence. It's like terrifying, but I don't, they just don't see anything wrong with it. They never, they thought, okay, well, we won't get caught. So they're talking enough to get other people and other high profile people involved, but not enough for it to come out until 20, 30, 40 years later. but i think it's wild the clintons are testifying against they're testifying they're testifying i think in front didn't it say in front of congress yeah that's what it says it says that they have agreed to testify um before the over the house oversight committee regarding their ties to Jeffrey Epstein. Okay. So I'm going to assume that like maybe legally they were asked and agreed. I didn't know that you could like agree. If they have nothing to hide and they're just testifying to like willingly testifying that they were affiliated, but did not participate. Okay, fine. Moving on. No, I'm not going to move on. I can't move on. I cannot move on because we're more outraged about the fucking super bowl halftime for performance and the fact that donald trump was affiliated bill clinton was in whatever capacity it was like these people have explaining to do and we're out here outraged over someone that is from puerto rico oh i also can't move on because do you remember this would have been back when I was married and we had just started the podcast and I was talking about being on like the deep dark web and these files about Pizzagate. Do you remember that? No. Yeah. Like as if he knows what is Pizzagate? Um, hold on. I'll tell you the definition. Okay. So it's a conspiracy theory that, okay, went viral during the 2016 United States presidential election, falsely claiming that the New York falsely, yeah, went viral during the 2016 United States presidential election cycle, falsely claiming that the New York City Police Department had discovered pedophilia ring linked to members of the Democratic Party while searching through somebody's emails. It has been extensively discredited by a wide range of organizations, including the Washington DC police. It says the personal email account of John Podesta, Hillary Clinton's campaign chair was hacked. Um, spear phishing attack in March, 2016. I don't know if you remember it, but it's this place called like the comment pizza place. We definitely talked about this on the podcast and like, you know, how my memory is set up. People called me freaking crazy. Woo woo. Like I needed to get off the dark web. I need to stop being a conspiracy theorist. Okay. Well, you guys, you guys need to start reading into conspiracy theories and realize that some of them might not be far fetched. That's the scary thing to think about. Have you ever heard of like a shell company? Yeah, I have companies and this company and that company and companies to make it look like it's like money laundering sort of right. Like where you're like doing criminal activity, but you make the money look legit. And so you have. So why is it far fetched to think that something like that could be going on and a comet pizza place, AKA pizza gate is the shell. Like, let's be so fucking for real. Here's the thing. I think conspiracies start with bits and pieces of the truth and then people try to fit together like the full story. And so that's why it becomes a conspiracy. but I think that the original pieces that we learn are true but we're basically trying to fit and I only say that because I've been a part of like these conspiracy theories myself like where people try to fit together the pieces of my life and they have half truths and then they come up with a story to fill in the gaps um there's always some truth to it right how many of the people that are named in the epstein files are american citizens yeah of course we've seen other people from other countries also be named but like i would say a majority of them are and you're more worried about bad money but yeah i that's more concerning to me um that's where i stand um okay i do want to read this came from a listener and i was very invested when i was typing this out so this woman says let's play a game called is it cheating and everything's quoted so it says the wife sleeps with someone else the husband finds out as a result they've been working through a divorce for the past year their finances have been separated but they are still living under the same roof in different bedrooms there has been no physical or emotional intimacy in the past year he's building a new home and will move out when it is complete their children know their parents are getting divorced and dad is moving out. He confided in me as a coworker a year ago when he found out about the cheating. I was a support to him, turned friend, turned more. We decided that there was more in September, but continued as friends. He shares all updates in the process of divorce with me. There's absolutely no chance of reconciliation. And they both know that we opted for the first official date last weekend and he kissed me. Is it cheating? No, it's not cheating. I know that this is going to boil down to semantics, some technicalities. Some people will say, well, until the day that they have their divorce decree, it is considered cheating. I disagree. I think it's very nuanced. I think that it's not one size fits all. I think that if it is exactly what she says it is, that both people, both parties are not having relations. They are both fully on board with this divorce. They feel like it's the best decision, et cetera, et cetera. I would argue, no, it is not cheating. In the Bible, it could be considered cheating still. And I think in the military, it could also be considered cheating. But like I said, very nuanced. I'm going to give a hypocritical opinion on this. If that was my situation that was going on and we were still living under the same roof, regardless of what the circumstances are, and we were still legally married, I'm going to have something to say about it. Like we're still. Yeah. You might have something to say. You might have feelings and opinions on it, but is it cheating? Yeah. Because if you agree that this relationship or this marriage is fully done. At the same time though, you and I've talked about this before and I've said like at the point that the divorce is filed and like you're done, you're both kind of free to do what you want. I think this situation is a little bit different. And I do understand that he's probably still living in the home because he's waiting for his to be finished being built. And maybe they don't have the finances for him to like rent or move out, or it doesn't make sense, but you're still living in the same home and you guys have children there and he's taking someone else out on a date. Like maybe should have just waited a little bit longer and waited until he moved into his own place. The argument wasn't if it's right or it's fair, or should he be focused on this? That wasn't the question. The question was, is it cheating? Because if it was my situation, I would say it's cheating. But if I'm saying somebody else's situation, like this specific one, I'd be like, no. Yeah. If you just answer the question at face value, just is it cheating? No. No. So I've also been in a situation like that. And I just didn't feel like it was cheating. Like I could see why people think it could be cheating or like they classify it as cheating. But like, for me, I don't look at the situation that I was in and think he cheated on me, right? Like, I don't feel that way at all. I feel I filed for divorce. We both did what we did. And I don't feel like he cheated on me. I just feel like it's messy in the same house. You know what I mean? You're following yourself. And get in a relationship and it's fucking messy, right? Like me with Ike is fucking messy. And I wasn't cheating on anybody. No, I don't necessarily think that's messy. well I mean people also do think the timeline is like two weeks so I think that is messy but I mean but that wasn't the case but no anyway but moving on from that um we're not gonna deep dive that today I just feel like it's messy let's say they were filed for divorce and he was living in one house and she was living in one house and the kids were like going between the house or their custody situation was like all figured out and he wants to take a girl out on a date I think totally fine. You have every right to do that. That is not cheating. I think where it gets messy for me is you're still living in the same house with kids and are not even legally divorced yet. That's going to bring up some feelings. And you? If that was my situation, yeah, it would bring up feelings for me. And I feel like it would have brought up feelings for the other person too. Like if they thought I was just living there and then I'm just like going on a date and then coming back to the house and I'm just like passing by my ex-husband and we're still taking a shower in the same shower. It's just like weird to me. Yeah, no doubt. No doubt. It's all interesting, but nuanced.
