Summary

Nashville's Morning News Hour 3 covers the Iran ceasefire negotiations, military successes, and Pentagon press conference with Pete Hegseth. The episode discusses geopolitical implications, oil market impacts, and domestic political reactions to Trump's Iran strategy, alongside local Virginia gubernatorial polling and AI's economic impact.

Insights
  • Iran ceasefire appears fragile due to communication breakdowns within Iranian military; continued missile fire post-ceasefire could collapse negotiations entirely
  • Oil prices dropping below $100/barrel signals market confidence in ceasefire, but gas price relief will lag 2-3 weeks due to supply chain delays
  • Democratic candidates who campaign as moderates but govern as progressives face significant voter backlash, as evidenced by Virginia Governor Spanberger's 13% polling deficit
  • AI will reshape 50-55% of US jobs and eliminate 10-15% entirely; workforce preparation and education adaptation are critical business and policy concerns
  • Pentagon messaging emphasizes military victory and regime change to justify conflict while allowing both sides to claim diplomatic wins in negotiations

It is Wednesdays with Wilson, or is it Wilson on Wednesdays? Whatever, Brian Wilson is joining us on Super Talk 997. Brian, how are you? And listen, Brian, happy ceasefire day. Yeah, listen, I think we do need a ceasefire, definitely need a ceasefire. And I just want to say, as sort of, I consider myself the host emeritus of WTN. And that senior sort of role as a gray-headed advisor, perhaps, just hear me out for a moment. I'm willing to be an arbitrator and help negotiate a ceasefire between Dan Mandus and Matt Murphy. I just want you to know I'm here. Have you been keeping up that whole thing, Brian? I don't even know what to say about it anymore. I have never seen Jackson Williams, who you're going to be working with tomorrow and Friday. I've never seen Jackson get so excited over something. Although I will, I actually owe Jackson a thank you, because somewhere along the line, he thought that I was 5'9". Now, clearly, I don't know if if you're... When you're standing on a shoot, on a box, maybe. I was going to say, maybe if I'm sitting on a phone book in the studio, I might look 5'9". But no, Weeves actually said him straight yesterday, when he said, no, Dan and I can say are the same height, which is roughly 5'5". Well, I mean, there's a lot of this that's going on. And you know, Levin is mad at Megan, and Tucker is mad at Levin and vice versa. Yeah. And you got Candace Owen, who's, you know, who knows what's going on. So, I mean, we are fighting among ourselves as Republicans and conservatives. And I just think that the one thing that we need to do is set this right between you and Murphy. So, my services are available, Dan. I offer them to both sides. Thank you, Brian. Consider me Pakistan in this whole thing. Well, you know what? I think Murphy and I, I think we already have a truce shaky as it may be. You will. And let's talk about the other truce that we really all care about. And that is what's going on. It is shaky. You can only imagine that after Iran has been pounded and pounded and pounded and pounded, that the communication systems are probably within Iran, within the Iranian military, in something of shambles. So, it's not surprising that once, you know, the ceasefire went into place that, you know, the Iranian rocket crews that are strewn about the country had not gotten the word as yet. But, you know, if that continues, this thing could fall apart in a very big way. I like that oil is down below $100 a barrel. West Texas Intermediate crewed as, last time I checked, $94. Markets really like this. The Dow futures are up 1200 points. It's a two-week ceasefire for both sides, well, all three sides, actually. And, you know, it is dependent on whether or not the Strait of Hormuz actually does open up. I think there's a little forbearance that will go on about because of the confusion of the moment, the chaos of war, the fog of war, that maybe a few missiles got that shot after the ceasefire went into effect. But if that, any of that continues into today, then I think this whole thing could fall apart. But from the moment, I like the direction this is going, we have accomplished a lot. And now the question is, as is always the case in military operations, what's the in-game and what's your exit ramp? So we're trying to find that at this point. Brian, can I ask you a news question? So you have all of these different outlets that have different lists, right? So you've got the BBC that had their own lists and ABC and CBS had their own lists and Donald Trump is saying, none of you know what's on the list, right? So why is there so many different lists and some of these lists have some negotiating points in common. Others only have some that are unique. There's one list that I saw where Iran was demanding a $2 million toll for each ship going through the Strait of Hormuz. I didn't see that on other lists. And so why is there so many different lists? Well, I think it's, you're catching negotiations as they are ongoing and the situation, I think, is pretty fluid. And I think there's a lot of things that happen. And then it comes to the desk of the President of the United States and he says, you know, well, regardless of what you guys are talking about in the negotiating room, I can't broker this. I can't take this. I can't accept that. And I think the Iranians are somehow under the mistaken belief that they might still actually be, you know, able to somehow win this thing or at least win the war public opinion. I don't know, but one way or the other, they seem to not understand that they're sort of out of options. Or if they do understand it, they're not admitting it publicly. Can you, you know, I think there's a lot of TDSing going around. And I know that you know that. But, you know, when as, you know, somebody who has been around news a lot longer than I have, know that's not a comment on your age. But when you look at, like, for example, CNN, I just played some audio from CNN in the previous segment, where, you know, the same people that were screaming about, oh my gosh, Donald Trump, he's gonna, you know, he's gonna go in and he's gonna, you know, bomb Iran and he's gonna take out their power plants and their bridges and, you know, accusing the man of war crimes. And then when he doesn't do it and he reaches a ceasefire agreement, they're criticizing him for that. It's like, he can't, he cannot win. And, you know, it's getting very frustrating to watch this. No matter what the man does, they're gonna find, you know, some kind of dissatisfaction with it. And it is... This isn't your average podcast. This pod is about to be crazy. I don't even know what's gonna happen. This is full send. It's just like a boy scrap. Join the party. We threw, like, a spontaneous party out of nowhere. It was crazy. And we pulled off a crazy prank. Pranks, parties, and viral culture at its wildest. Just seeing, like, the guys that you brought in and, like, seeing their different personalities and stuff. It's been entertaining, dude. This could be the greatest content buildup of all time, bro. The full send podcast. Dude, let's get ready to rumble. Follow and listen on your favorite platform. Let's do it. It is maddening, really, honest. I can't imagine what it's like to be president. You can't, you cannot win with this, with the media as in this state of play right now. It's ridiculous. Brian, do you think that Iran is... Do you think Iran can be trusted? And do you think that... No. They will abide by the negotiated terms once they're done. Because you and I both know they cannot be trusted. They are lying liars who lie and cheat and they have not been trustworthy for the past 47 years. What makes us think that all of a sudden they're going to be trustworthy? I don't know. They've taken quite a few losses. And their military and their leadership have been, you know, completely... I don't like to use the word decimated because it's not the right word. It's obliterated. I mean, just annihilated. And so they've got some real problems. But it's funny that they continue to take this position that we are the great and powerful country of Iran. Now, no, really, honestly, you know, you have been... You're a bully and you got bopped on the nose and now you're trying to find a way out of this thing. Do you think there's anything wrong with President Trump saying that civilizations will die? This seems like... And I'm going to ask you that and then cogitate on it because I've got to check traffic real quick. We had a lot of problems. But, you know, people are losing their ever-loving mind on this with the president saying that. You know, my thing is that he's matching the energy of Iran. I mean, this is how you communicate with nations like Iran. But Brian Wilson joining us on Nashville's Morning News. All right, Brian, give me your two cents on President Trump posting on the socials that civilizations will die. Well, I have not been real pleased with... You know how I feel about President Trump. I love his policies. I love the thing. And I think this thing in Iran, I completely support it. Long overdue. It had to be happening. Everybody has Trump derangement syndrome, by the way. I just wanted to say this other thing about the last comment. Everybody's got this TDS about it. But you know what the criticism would have been if they had not done anything and Iran did get a nuclear weapon. Can you imagine the hue and cry about all that? But I am a little concerned about Donald Trump's tweeting. And some of the language has been rough. I could not believe that the president of the United States basically dropped an F-bomb on Easter Sunday. And, you know, it was... It just seems like we don't need that. And I have real concerns about the level and sometimes the nature of his social media postings and the things that he says. But I don't have any problem with what he's doing. So I think his policies are good. I think this is long overdue. I completely support it. I know not everybody does, but I do. Because to me, the one thing that would be worse than what we're going through right now would be if Iran lobbed a nuclear weapon. Yep. Okay. To Georgia we go. The Republicans have retained the seat of Marjorie Taylor Greene in a special election. This is a big deal. Was there anything to worry about related to the numbers as far as who came out? Well, the guy who won was the Republican Clay Fuller. And I'm glad that the Republicans are able to contain or remain in control of this one seat out of Georgia because, you know, it's tight for the speaker of the House in trying to pass things out of the House of Representatives. We can't afford to lose a lot of seats here. So I'm glad to see that happen. There are also, you know, and that everybody looks at these things with an eye to the midterm elections. And I think that's a good sign. I'm also seeing some signs that some of the Democrats that were getting a lot of attention in the last election are not faring so well. For example, Virginia Governor's Abigail Spanberger. Oh, boy. I mean, what a piece of work that woman is. Her ratings and her polling data, according to ABC7, the ABC affiliate there in the DC area, they are saying that they are 13% below where it is for the average. Governors generally have pretty high marks among the populace there in Virginia. But she's down 13% below what the general average is. So when you see that, yeah, Republicans can still win and there's a bad taste in the mouth of a lot of people about what the Democrats are doing, I'm having some hope for the midterm elections. I think the problem with Spanberger is that she campaigned as a moderate and then she got in. And I mean, she is frothing at the mouth, rabid progressive, raising taxes, going after guns. I mean, all of that stuff. And so I think the people of Virginia are realizing that they were lied to and they were sold to bill of goods. And now there's a lot of folks that are saying that this is the Democrats playbook moving forward is you campaign as a moderate and then you get in and you govern as a rabid progressive. And you know, Brian, to me, that doesn't seem... It's not gonna sit well with voters though. It really won't when they do that. That's exactly right. What I was gonna say was you're breaking the trust of the voters. And so they'll remember that moving forward, perhaps. And we'll see what happens in Virginia. But they've got a long time that they're gonna have to deal with the higher taxes and the ammunition, the gun grabs and everything else, the Spanberger is doing. There's been a, well, they bait and switch in that election. They are not getting the woman who ran for the office. They're getting somebody who's much more liberal than they anticipated. And it's just not going over well in purple Virginia. Well, and you know what that also says, then we'll move on. But that also says that the Democrats can't win on the policies that they truly believe in. They've got a light of the voters. I mean, speaking of which, you know, birthright citizenship, where you've got vast, vast majority of the American people that are on board with birthright citizenship and on Donald Trump's side in all of this. And yet, here we are. Well, about 60% of Americans agree with the changes that Trump wants to make in birthright citizenship. You know, everybody listens to the Supreme Court and they try to figure out, you know, what the Supreme Court's gonna do and these so-called court watchers make their predictions. I thought it was a very close question. And I think it's entirely possible that we could indeed see a change in the way we interpret birthright citizenship. And 59% of Americans would be in agreement if that were to happen. So it's hard to find Americans, you know, any topic that they agree upon to that degree. So it's gonna be something to watch. I hope the High Court makes the right decision here. I really do. Are you confident or no? No, I'm not confident. I'm saying I think it's right on the bubble. I think it could easily go either way. Artificial intelligence, AI. Now, I gotta tell you that, you know, I watch AI. I look at AI and its impact on our economy and our jobs. Are you as worried as some are about the catastrophic impact this is gonna have on jobs? I have a great deal of interest and intrigue I'll give you an example. Last night, I was sitting with Cabana wife and we were working on a website together. She's starting a small business and I was trumping her due to the website. AI did the whole dang thing. I mean, it was amazing. I, you type in a few things and you hit a few buttons and there it is, a website ready to go. And I look at that and I go, that's truly amazing. I'm literally concerned though about what this is gonna mean for the economy. I see in a story this morning that says AI will impact more than half of the US jobs. And that's not to say they'll go away, but the jobs will be dramatically reshaped. About 50 to 55% of jobs in America will reshaped and about 10 to 15% of jobs could be gone because of AI. When we're in it, we sometimes can't see it. There have been some things that we've witnessed in recent history, the development of the internet and cell phones that we all carry and the technology. We're in another one of these technological waves that has a dramatic impact on the economy and on our lives. And that is what is AI going to be and will we be able to control it? But one thing I think we all have to realize is if you got a kid going into school right now, you need to really stop and think about whether or not that person is going, that person's going to come out of college with a degree that will get them a job in the AI economy. Because we're in the AI economy now and it's got to be dramatic to see just exactly how the world changes and it will change. And if we don't adapt and aren't ready to adapt, some people will be left behind in this. All right, Brian, real quick, you are filling in for Matt Murphy. It's tomorrow and Friday. That's right. All right, very good. And just to, on a personal note, we're here in the Bukalic Watertown. We're getting ready for our springtime mile long yard sale. So we like to invite everybody come out to Watertown. You're going to be selling anything, Brian? I am not at liberty to discuss that. Come on, man, state secrets. You gotta spill them. If you come to town, drop by the flower shop on the square, I'll be there. All right, very good. Brian Wilson, always great to have you on. And it's always my pleasure, Dan. All right, and be sure to listen to Brian tomorrow and Friday, filling in for a Murphy show on SuperJump. Maybe that'll calm things down between you two if I'm there for a couple of days, do you think? You know what, you need to talk Jackson off the ledge. And hey, by the way, you know what you do to get on the good side of Jackson? Bring in some peeps. Oh, really? Because there's this big controversy. Joan, I don't know if you heard about this. Big controversy yesterday on the afternoon show because apparently Matt ate some peeps and then threw some in the trash, picked them out of the trash and gave them to Jackson. Now, I don't know if Jackson actually ate the peeps out of the trash. There are no peeps in this studio. There are no peeps in the studio, so. That's all I can say. We don't know how. You're just really trying to, you're just trying to push this thing a little further. You just got, somebody needs to back down. There needs to be a little date taunt here. Listen, all I'm saying, and it's a legit argument because if you throw the peeps in the trash, but it's still wrapped up in the wrapper, then is it okay to eat? Brian Wilson, yes or no? I wouldn't, but I'm sure that I would eat a peep anyway. So. They're not individually wrapped either. They're not, yeah. So, I mean, he could, whatever, we gotta go. 720, thank you, Brian. See how quickly I get distracted. All right, Brian Wilson, we'll talk to you next weekend. Listen, him tomorrow. Real quick, Joan, we have some audio. Department of War, they are doing a press conference about where we are, the state of Iran. This is Pete Hegzeff just moments ago. The new Iranian regime understood that a deal was far better than the fate that awaited them. This new regime just happened to look at what happened to their predecessors. Their top leadership was systematically eliminated. The previous Iranian Supreme Leader, dead. The Supreme National Security Council Secretary, dead. The Supreme Leader Office Advisor, dead. The Supreme Leader Military Office Chief, dead. Hi, I'm Joe Salci, I host of the Stack In Benjamins podcast. You know what, a lot of us get taxes wrong. Filing your taxes is basically data entry. There's been this trend of people going, oh, it's so cool to file my taxes in August. It's so awesome. Don't worry, I have an extension. It'll be fine. I'll like totally do it later. Stop, do your friggin' taxes now. That was a really good fashion voice. Did you like it? You do that more frequently, please? Yes, every show for now. I don't feel like that. Stack In Benjamins, follow and listen on your favorite platform. Dead. The defense minister, no longer with us. That's a lot of dead, Joan. Yeah, very, very dead. That's a lot of dead. Yeah. And that's a good thing. And I know you've probably got some audio coming up as well. You've got Dan Cain. You've got Pete Hegzeff. And basically what they're doing is they are talking about the successes that we have had with a war in Iran, the military successes specifically. And of course, they're part of what they're saying. And it is true, is that Iran was really at the point where they had lost most of their military. Their Navy was at the bottom of the sea and you had a lot of their airplanes that were destroyed as well. You just heard Pete Hegzeff talking about the leadership there in Iran, dead, dead, dead, dead. And so part of that is sort of narrative control. This is what we accomplished militarily. We accomplished a lot. We actually, they will say, accomplished our goals in Iran. Got a lot more straight ahead. Joan. Yes, sir. Hate to do this to you. Got a whole bunch of people that are like, what the heck did that guy say in that school board meeting? Oh yeah, it's hard to hear that. Because they're saying the audio was horrible. So basically what the guy said to a 15 year old student was... He said... I said, I said... God you're hot. You know what they say? Where do you go to school at? I haven't dropped it. All right. He said, God you're hot. Where did you go to school at? Yes, that's exactly what he said. He asked her if she knew it. That's the part that... Oh, do you know how? Is that what he said? Do you know how? God you're hot. Did you know that? Yeah. Joan, that was creepy. We did, by the way, we did do a daily Dan poll real quick on whether or not he should be removed from the school board. We did this in the five o'clock. There's lots going on here on Nashville's Morning News this morning. So what did people think? Well, since it was put up in the five o'clock hour, we got lots of votes. And 76% of people think that Mr. Irvin should be removed from the Washington County School Board. All right. Well, I mean, I'm one of them, whole thing. Now, I did not have on my bingo card today, I don't know about you, Sam, but I didn't have on my bingo card, Joan Jones coming out in favor of this guy this morning. I did not either. Completely shocking. I blame John. Joan. I blame John. She came home and John said it and she's like, you know what? It's not that bad. It has the feel of believe every woman and all that like me too movement stuff. I just feel like we don't have to see everything as being so offensive. I'm so offended by everything. Oh, here's Joan trying to cancel cancel culture. Yeah. I think it can get overboard sometimes. Hey, Sam, this is a great, and I mean a great sociological experiment here on WTN in Nashville's Morning News. So yesterday, I don't remember exactly what I said, but people took it as I was defending the guy and I got roasted on the Supertext Line. Can we keep an eye on the Supertext Line and see how many people roast Joan Jones? It is, it's a great sociological experiment because I got hammered yesterday. And so I wanna keep an eye on how many people yell at one Joan Jones. And by the way- Did you get hammered because people were eviscerating you? They were just mad at me. I mean, they said that I was standing up for a creeper, which I clearly wasn't, hello, but whatever. I mean, I prefer days I've been saying the guy was a creeper. And then I said like, I don't even know, again, I don't know exactly what I said, but apparently- It's Dan's job to explore context. And so Dan was merely trying to explore the context in which that statement was made. It's exactly right. I don't think it's fair you got reamed for it. That's exactly right, Sam. And I like to ream you myself. So is anybody saying anything about, creepy? Is anybody looking at the Supertext Line right now, Joan? Are you looking at the Supertext Line? Is anybody bashing you? Not so far. There you go. See, you know what this whole thing- That's the impossible task of having the Supertext Line. Get onto Joan in general. There you go. I'm with Joan. And I'm with this other person, Chris Harris. I don't particularly like the way he used God's name. I'm with you on that. As 9-0-0-9, I'm with Joan. 27-14, Joan is perfect. She does not say anything wrong. Keep up the good work, Miss Joan. I agree with Joan on the point. Okay, so where were all these people when I was being blasted yesterday for whatever it was that I, whatever. I'm moving on. Now I'm irritated with the text line. You know, the text line giveth and the text line taketh away. You know what I mean? So I, okay, here you go. Somebody said, adult hitting on 15 year old, death. So there you go. 80-14, Joan is hot. 0026, Sam was to ream Dan. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. You say on your side of the glass, Mr. Verbalee. Oh, here you go. Joan is a freak. Don't take up for some freak telling a little girl she is hot. Thank you, 95-40. Not, I'm not, I don't agree with them, but I don't think we should be so offended by every single thing. Okay, now listen to Joan starting to back paddle. I'm just kidding. I don't, I mean, I don't agree with them. It was a dumb thing to say, but I don't think that, you know, taking the stand that everything somebody says or does, you know, is in a fence, just move on. Tell him he's a jerk and move on. 48-94, Boo Dan, yay Joan. You know what, I think really when it comes down to it, the attitude of the super text line and the general listening population of WTN, that's pretty much, it might as well be the slogan for Nashville's morning news, Boo Dan, yay Joan. Oh, and she's so hot. There's that as well. We should probably move on now. That's not me talking, by the way Joan, that's the supertextors. Yeah. So here you go, 90-90, as a registered sex offender, I stand with Joan. I'm hoping that that's not. Nashville's morning news. An actual sex offender. You're home for sex offender listeners. Wow, okay. Probably shouldn't repeat that. No, no. Well, you know what, maybe the guy just, you know, accidentally went to the bathroom after a party near a playground at night. Maybe that's what happened. All right, moving right, moving right on. I got a genuine laugh out of Joan, that was good. Okay, more from Pete Hegseth and they had, and I think it's over now, but they did a big press conference. We're gonna tell you basically what was said. Joan was monitoring it. I was monitoring it as well, and we've got some audio. This is the reasoning behind the war courtesy of Pete Hegseth. For decades, Iran killed Americans with roadside bombs in Iraq, using cowardly proxies to do their dirty work while they hid safely in Tehran. They struck our embassies with car bombs and attacked from the shadows, never daring to face us toe to toe. They thought they could bleed America with impunity. Well, they just learned the hard way, what happens when you try to fight us directly. And even when they got lucky, one time in 40 days, and down two of our pilots, they couldn't hold them. In a daring 14 hour rescue operation, seven hours in daylight and seven hours of night, both pilots were recovered safely. Not once, but twice. A daylight thunder run right up the middle of their country, boots on the ground. And obviously, part of it, Joan, you were monitoring it as I was, but basically what they're doing here is they're justifying the war. And they're also really trying to drive the point home that from a military standpoint, we have accomplished our goals. I mean, to me, that's what we're doing. We're trying to get the military to do the work we have accomplished our goals. I mean, to me, that's what, because I'm listening to the audio and I was watching it as it was going on. And one of the things that he said, Iran can no longer build missiles, rockets, or launchers. And so forgive me for using the phrase, but militarily, he is saying mission accomplished. Is that kind of what you got to? Is she okay in there? Because I was living- Sorry, I have 17 things open listening to monitoring. I'm sorry. She's getting so many like ego inflating texts right now. Is that what it is? No, it's not. Forget about the news. People are saying that Joan's hot on the super text line. Forget it, man. I don't care what you say. I was also listening to how Pete Hagseth was responding to reporters' questions because there's the portion of which they present their case and then the reporters start digging into questions. All right, very good. I think that's what they're doing. They're saying that mission accomplished at least from a military standpoint. And that is what I think is going on. And they are, in my opinion, setting a pretty good case. Here's a little bit more from Pete Hagseth. Zero American casualties. The Iranians humiliated and demoralized. We control their fate, not the other way around. That's why they came to the table. Iran's defeat is America's retribution for every American lost to Iranian terror, especially those brave troops killed by Iranian-made roadside bombs in Iraq that my generation knows so well. And for the suffering their regime has inflicted around the world. Now we have a chance at real peace and a real deal. The war department, for now, for now, has done its part. We stand ready in the background to ensure Iran upholds every reasonable term. And as everyone knows, nobody makes a better deal than President Trump. So that is Pete Hagseth, by the way, the headline from CNN, both US and Iran are claiming victory here. And I understand that. Remember one of the things that I've always said is to get out of this, both sides need to be able to do that, to claim victory. And obviously, that's what they're going to do. Now, President Trump has posted this on Truth Social. The United States will work closely with Iran, which we have determined has gone through what will be a very productive regime change. Okay, so here's what's happening. Pete Hagseth comes out, they talk about, effectively, mission accomplished from a military standpoint. Donald Trump is now talking about, on this Truth Social post, mission accomplished as far as regime change. So see what they're doing. They're, without actually saying it, they're saying, effectively, mission accomplished on a number of different things that the President has been talking about for quite some time. So I'm gonna start over again. The United States, the President wrote this morning, posted this morning, the United States will work closely with Iran, which we have determined, has gone through what will be a very productive regime change. There will be no enrichment of uranium. And the United States will, working with Iran, dig up and remove all of the deeply buried nuclear dust. He says, it is now and has been under very exacting satellite surveillance, Space Force. He says, nothing has been touched from the date of attack. We are and will be talking tariff and sanctions relief with Iran. Many of the 15 points have already been agreed to. Thank you for your attention to this matter, President Donald J. Trump. So there you go. So I think that what the President is trying to do is he's trying to say, this is where we are right now as far as from a military perspective, from a negotiation standpoint, from a regime change perspective as well. And again, short of using the term mission accomplished, the President is saying that we have been able to reach some benchmarks. It is 750. On Nashville's morning news, on Super Talk 997, WTN, Supertext Line is open, 615-737-9986, 615-737, WTN. We're just, we're gonna have to wait and see what happens with Iran. Not only the negotiations, but are they negotiating in good faith? It sounds like what Donald Trump, as he posted on True Social, it really does sound like he is portraying this as Iran is negotiating in good faith as they continue to bomb some targets in the Middle East. We'll continue the conversation. Welcome on in to Nashville's morning news. 0761, Joan says, so when will our gas prices be going down? What is oiled, I hate to do this to you, Joan, do you know what the oil, Sam can do? Yeah, no, I got it. You got it, so where is oil right now? Cause they, I mean, it was plummeting overnight. Yeah, so you got West Texas crew currently down 18% right now at 92.47. Okay. So that's really cool. The Brent prices, let's take a look at Brent crew. Today also might be a better day or maybe tomorrow to look at your 401K. Wow, Brent crewed 91.30 right now, down $17.97. So here, now that's good news. Now the bad news is that as, you know, we've spoken to E.J. and Tony about this a couple of different times. It takes a little while for the prices to go back down when the prices have been up, you know what I mean? So the prices skyrocket because of the war and now it's gonna take a while for the gas stations to get the cheaper gasoline into the tanks. And that is when they'll be able to lower those prices. I think it'll be, it'll be a couple of weeks just in time for the ceasefire to be over, Joan. I think that's probably our luck. So anyway, we'll have to see what happens with prices. But, you know, as I've noted many times, it takes a lot longer for the gas prices to go down than for them to skyrocket up when something happens. Like that, that's just what it seems to me. Well, they say up like a rocket and down like a feather. Yes, that's exactly right, Joan. Up like a rocket and down like a feather. By the way, I'm gonna tell you something, Joan, that Sam said about you. Yeah, he told me, he's already apologized for whatever it is that I'm about to hear. Well, so you were getting all of the compliments, which are still coming in on the Supertext Line about Joan Jones being a smoke show. And, you know, so hot and all that. And smart. And so you were incredibly distracted, as you know, during that last segment, Joan. Yeah, yeah, so I'm sorry about that. And Sam actually said, what was it you said, Sam? I'm gonna go ahead and let you say, you said Joan has a what? I said, Dan, I think Joan has a praise kink. A praise kink. What is a praise kink? You're really enjoying, you know, getting all the compliments on the Supertext Line. You guys are weird. He said it, not me. Well, you wouldn't be telling me if you didn't agree with him. I'm defending you, Joan. I'm letting you know what he said so that you can take care of it yourself because you are a strong, independent, apparently smoke show hot woman. So you can take care of it yourself. Y'all are still all weird. Is it nine o'clock yet? Anyway, we got a lot more straight ahead. Hi, I'm Joe Salci. I hosted the Stack Invengements podcast.
