Hey Bible readers, I'm Miss Emily and this is the Bible Recap. For this! It's time for a 7-Day Rambla! Let's zoom out! For seven days, we followed David as Israel's king. He made some wonderful and wise decisions and led his people in beautiful songs of praise. He also made some sinful and awful decisions. Yet, he repented and left all of us with a model of how to turn back to God when we sin. Through David's obedience and his sin, we saw the real hero, our merciful and generous God. We didn't have any new ones, but this week we reviewed one. Word to remember! Sanctification is a lifelong process of God making us more like Him. We read some hard stories this week, so let's make sure to find an application! God is the giver of all good gifts, and He loves when His people thank Him for His gifts. Before you go to bed tonight, stop and thank God for at least three good gifts in your life. These could be things or people or opportunities. Challenge yourself to do this for at least a week and pay attention to what happens. The more you make gratitude a habit, the more you'll notice all the good gifts in your life. It will help you remember every day that He is good. He's where the joy is!
