Episode 5246: Live Pre-Game From CPAC

Pentagon is deploying 3,000 more troops to the Middle East, even as the U.S. sends a peace proposal to the Iranian regime. Here at home, gas prices continue to rise, and a new poll shows that 60 percent of Americans think Donald Trump has gone too far in waging war against Iran. And brand new reporting shows that Donald Trump's grasp of how the war is going is based on clips of, quote, stuff blowing up. The military mission continues unabated. From the outset, President Trump and the Department of War estimated it would take approximately four to six weeks to achieve this critical mission. Twenty-five days in, the greatest military the world has ever known is ahead of schedule and performing exceptionally. Day by day, the Iranian regime is being crippled, and their ability to threaten the United States and our allies is being significantly weakened. Their ambitions of building a nuclear weapon have also been crushed to an even greater degree than they were in Operation Midnight Hammer in June 2025. That's why you're beginning to see the regime look for an exit ramp. They recognize they are being crushed, their ability to attack American and ally forces, as well as their ability to defend their own territory is dwindling, literally, hour by hour. Following President Trump's powerful threat on Saturday evening, it was made clear to the United States that Iran wanted to talk. President Trump is willing to listen. As President Trump announced on Monday, the United States has been engaged over the last three days in productive conversations, which led the President to temporarily instruct the Department of War to postpone planned strikes against Iranian power plants and energy infrastructure only. First of all, you know, I think we've said this countless times. Iran has been here for millennia. The people in this region have been here for millennia. Nobody's going anywhere. Total annihilation is not an option. No one, peoples or country will disappear from existence by the wish or whim of any political actor. We will live next to each other. We will be neighbors for the future of humankind, and we have to find ways of living next to each other. This is a very difficult moment. Our country has been attacked. Our sovereignty has been attacked. We have seen the effects on our economy, on the daily lives of people living here, and we don't take it lightly, and we don't see the attacks on our sovereignty as something that we can live with. Now that said, obviously, living next to 90 million people in Iran, proud people that we have shared, the Gulf wave for, as I said, millennia will continue, and we will have to find a way past this. This is a very difficult moment, but we will find our way out of it. And I have to say here that our message was always to Iran. The brotherly relationship, the neighborly relationship between our peoples should take paramount over any other political consideration. The fact that they decided to attack our country like this does not show good neighborly relations or the essence of that brotherly relationship, but it is something that we don't find any alternative to in our region. They're headed in that way. They're a self-contained unit. They've got aviation assets. They've got helicopter assets. They've got 2,500 Marines on each one of the ARGs, and they can open up the straits out there and occupy that ground. Look, I'm a big believer in putting boots on the ground, not necessarily into Iran. It's pulled down on its timeline for the war in Iran, reiterating that operations should last approximately four to six weeks. But that comes as sources tell CNN that around 1,000 soldiers with the 82nd Airborne Division are preparing to deploy to the Middle East. That's on top of the 4,500 Marines and sailors already ordered to the region. These troop movements are happening as the Trump administration reaches out for a diplomatic solution. Senior officials say a meeting aimed at ending the war could take place in Pakistan as early as this weekend. What's your read on this? Because the story is very different depending on who's speaking about whether there are actually negotiations or really how false in these negotiations are. Yeah, Brianna, who's on first, what's on second? I mean, I think we could come up with a lot of quirky ways to describe it. But at the end of the day, what we're seeing is now diplomatic activity, and that's a good thing. The pot has been stirred. The international players who are affected by, for example, the energy crisis, they are getting involved. Still waiting to see where China is on this, because ultimately they're going to be the one that I believe can impact Iran the most. They have the most to lose as well with the ongoing supply glut. So this is good, but there has to be a bit of a strategy to this as well, right? And there needs to be some kind of vision for what we're trying to achieve. And it needs to be realistic as well. And so I don't think we have those contours yet, but at least at the moment the world is starting to get engaged diplomatically. For all of these reasons, we are very close to meeting the core objectives of Operation Epic Fury, and this military mission continues unabated. From the outset, President Trump and the Department of War estimated it would take approximately four to six weeks to achieve this critical mission. 25 days in, the greatest military the world has ever known is ahead of schedule in performing exceptionally. Two questions on Lebanon, if I can. Is the U.S. providing support at this point for Israel's ongoing offensive in Lebanon? And is the President concerned that right now there are more than a million people who've been displaced and potentially could be for a significant amount of time? That's not something I'm in a position to comment on for the first question, to the second question. Of course, that's something that would concern the President. I think that's why he's again quickly moving to eliminate the threat of the Iranian regime in the Middle East, including weakening their proxies like Hezbollah, who have terrorized Lebanon for far too long. And I know that the President wants to see this again, move as quickly as possible over as we can over the course of the next couple of weeks here. Leverage the power, the strength is on our side, but it doesn't mean that we have complete control of it either. We heard the Press Secretary also sort of express skepticism over the 15-point plan that the U.S. reportedly presented to Iran saying that some of it is accurate, some of it is not. She wouldn't distinguish what was, but based on the 15 points sources say that the U.S. wants to limit Tehran's defensive capabilities, a cessation of support for proxies, an acknowledgement of Israel's right to exist. Which of those do you think Iran is most likely to agree with? I don't think they're ready to agree with anything, to be honest with you. As it is, they're denying that talks are happening because they're trying to cater to their population who wants them to fight to the end. But that said, the President put out terms to end the war a couple of weeks ago, and those terms included things like reparations, all U.S. military presence to leave, the prosecution and extradition of media personalities, by the way, who've been anti-regime. You and I, by the way, that's going to happen to us. And things like that. So they're definitely not going to be recognizing Israel and agreeing to anything. When you're seeing this addition of troops, the 82nd Airborne, the Marines, and others that you already see deployed in the region to keep the pressure up on Iran, does that make sense to you, even as we're not getting really big answers on this from the White House? No, we really don't have a lot of answers here, but I think if you kind of stand back, it's pretty clear that what the President is doing by deploying these troops there is to try to increase his leverage with regards to dealing with Iran by making clear that the United States has troops deployed there, or we've got a large force that's located there. We obviously have the potential to continue this war. And at the same time, Iran continues to make attacks on both the Gulf as well as Israel. So the war is kind of continuing, but you can't get away from the fact that there are negotiations going on. And the biggest challenge is who are going to be the key players. Obviously something's going to happen in Pakistan. We don't know who the players are, but there are players that are exchanging thoughts here. Secondly, there has to be an off-ramp to try to give these whoever they are negotiating some kind of opportunity to kind of either provide a temporary ceasefire or something that allows for these attacks to cease while the negotiations are going on. And then when it comes to the key points, we know what the key points are that they're going to have to deal with. They're going to have to decide on a permanent ceasefire. They're going to have to decide on what happens to nuclear enrichment and just exactly how that's controlled. They're going to have to decide whether or not missile development is going to be limited. They're going to have to decide what happens with the Straits of Hormuz. And the likely result there is some kind of international sovereign group that will run the Straits of Hormuz. And they're going to have to decide on lifting sanctions to Iran. These are kind of the key points that ultimately are going to have to be part of a resolution if this war is going to end. This is the primal scream of a dying regime. Pray for our enemies, because we're going to make the evil on these people. Here's the thing, I've got a free shot on all these networks lying about the people. The people have had a belly full of them. I know you don't like hearing that. You've tried to do everything in the world to stop that, but you're not going to stop it. It's going to happen. And where do people like that go to share the big line? MAGA media. I wish in my soul I wish that any of these people had a conscience. Ask yourself, what is my task and what is my purpose? Things are converging on this weekend, right? As President Trump tries to find a solution, a diplomatic solution, a peaceful solution, but President Trump said, hey, the clock's taking. You got five days after that. You know, I don't know what's going to happen. Your thoughts are. Okay, we're going to get, we're going to get, this is why we do the, this is why we do the shakedown crews on Wednesday afternoon. Normally, in the past, we've done a forced multiplier, but because of previous commitments, we couldn't do it. Okay, folks, particularly those at home and the live audience at CPAC today, another intense day. President Trump trying to find a solution markets and turmoil. The Israelis have basically announced the Israeli military to say, hey, look, if there's going to be some time limit on this, is this going to be some time check on this? We are absolutely going to go in and make sure that we've done a command and control turn to dust. So the Israeli military, not just in Lebanon, not just what they're doing with Hezbollah, but they have made commitments and comments saying, hey, no holds barred. This is going to be war and there's going to be some limited timeframe. But if we're going to go to some ceasefire, there's some negotiations where essentially we're not going to be in charge of, we're going to get as much done as possible. Karen Line Levitt, once again, they had a press briefing today at one o'clock Eastern Daylight Time from the, from the press room. And all I can say is she reiterated once again, the president's operational military objectives that they feel have been accomplished or near to be accomplished. Sencom and the joint staff under General Cain and Admiral Cooper at Sencom have said, hey, they're off the chain right now. They're continued. They're not attacking or bombing specifically the energy grid. They're not bombing any of the, any of the energy or oil, but the Marine Expeditionary Unit, both of them, the Terawa coming from Japan and the USS Boxer coming from San Diego with a combined, I don't know, about 5,000 fleet Marines ready for an amphibious assault are supposedly be on station this weekend. A forward ready team of the hundred of excuse me, the 82nd Airborne, I think their command structure has always been Florida deployed mode knows all about that. They will be ready by this weekend to suppress and Trump is adding to the assets that he can call upon as he's talking to the Pakistanis, the main, I think, part of what's remaining of the Revolutionary Guard or least these younger guys are acting a spokesman said, no, they're not interested. They laid out five, five points for the Americans, including reparations, including we would never attack again and wait for it. They would control the straight of her moves and perpetuity. You know, President Trump said, I don't think that's worth a response. Natasha Owens, who's going to be with us at CPAC takes us out as soon as we solve our technical problem. Remember this artificial intelligence fight right now. Part of it's about children, but it's so much more than that. But this issue with children, let's go ahead and play these clips and I will comment on the other side. Breaking news out of Los Angeles. A jury has found both Metta and Google negligent on all counts in a landmark social media addiction trial. The now 20 year old plaintiff accused the companies of designing products to be dangerously addictive. The jury found that led to her mental health distress. What does this mean for the companies? This is such a big deal, Katie, because right, it's that abstract sense that we've all had. Something is wrong here, but what exactly is it? And what this jury has decided is that it is the design choices of the company that is what's wrong here. They have found here, Katie, not that the content is the problem, not even that their own algorithm is the problem. Those two things have been protected by the First Amendment and by Section 230 in the past. But what we're talking about here is saying it's the design choices, the like buttons, the way people are grouped together. Those functions are what the problem is here. And that is an existential risk for these companies. It is the essence of what makes them such an effective business in terms of their marshaling and studying and even in some cases shaping behavior. And now you have a jury deciding that they can recognize that as well, which puts us in a whole new era. I think it's not too much to say that this is, you know, the not only the end of social media as we know it, Katie, this is the end of childhood as we have accepted it, at least here in the United States. Well, I think in the short term, these companies are going to fight like hell against this decision. This is an existential threat to their business model. And so already, you know, Metta has said they respectfully disagree with the decision and you can read that as code for we are going to appeal and appeal and appeal. There is no way they're going to let this go. But let's say that it goes all the way to the Supreme Court and that in the end they do this plaintiff continues to prevail and then this avalanche of other lawsuits comes their way. Yeah, we're looking at an entirely different social media experience, one in which perhaps it comes with huge amounts of warnings about what would happen. You know, perhaps it comes with some sort of screening for mental health issues. I mean, you know, there's also a First Amendment worry here that it means that that the freedom we have enjoyed until now to post whatever we want and do more or less whatever we want on social media platforms that could go away as well. And so we're really at the beginning, Katie, of I think a big national renegotiation over what it is to mine the attention of children for profit and what we're willing to give up in terms of the freedom we've enjoyed on social media in exchange for a greater degree of safety. Okay, monumental. This was Los Angeles the second day in a row. And I think the juries are not taking that long. The one in New Mexico was out one hour. Think about that for a second. One hour. They were ready to go. Here's what has been these oligarchs and remember the ability of concentration of power, the concentration of power in their associates and government power took place during the Obama administration, just like Ticketmaster and Live Nation, all these things were fighting to kind of disaggregate. This was all the Obama administration's Justice Department allowed these oligarchs and these oligarchs have been so arrogant, so dismissive of parents and all the problems they've caused so dismissive. Well, they got in front finally these cases gotten from a couple of juries, just average Americans and the jury spoke and they spoke quickly. This is going to lead to an avalanche of lawsuits. Of course, this is going to be highly negotiated. Congress is going to get involved to probably go up to the Supreme Court, but this is also going to inform the artificial intelligence issues and they have been nothing but arrogant to date. Remember twice, because you were the tip of the spear in this fight, twice they tried to slip in full amnesty for everything they want to do. No controls, whatever, no regulations, no framework, even our anti-regulation. And I'm a deconstruct the administrative state, person, individual, but they have fought it and they've been so arrogant about fighting it. So much more. This is why this is one of the reasons that Joe Allen has now joined and is a big part of humans first, all these other groups, the Alliance, all of it. This fight now is really, really, really intense. And the courts, the little guy is saying, hey, something has to be done here. We also have before I bolt and turn this over to Posso and Captain Bannon. Yes, Save America Act, but particularly ICE airports and eventually, as it's going to happen, folks, in the 2026 midterm elections at the voting booth. Let's go ahead and play. ICE does not have a good reputation around the country. It's not popular. Most people don't like it. Half of the country wants the entire organization to be abolished. And so you see ICE at the airport and you worry that they're doing stuff like this and then you see evidence they're doing stuff like this. Isn't that a political, it's not a backfire to have so many different Americans from all over the country interact and be, and have ICE be that visible to them in this moment of heightened tension at airports, especially? Right. One would think that because public opinion has been so clear about how Americans feel about ICE, that you would not want to have sort of armed men at an airport. Not assisting, by the way. But I think what's even more frightening is that many people see this as a dry run for how this administration wants to run the elections in 2026. Because they know that their policies aren't popular and they know that because the natural sort of process of American democracy, the party in power, especially in unified government loses seats. Steve Bannon has said that. Yes, exactly. And so the Republicans know that they're going to lose seats. They know that the idea of divided government, meaning the Democrats will take over one or both houses of Congress, is a real possibility because that's also just how the natural order of democracy has worked in the past, say, 30 years. Because of that, this is why we're seeing the push through of the SAVE Act and this real aggression. It's not about, you know, making sure we protect the integrity of our elections. Voter fraud is miniscule, if nonexistent. It's really about putting people in these databases so that ICE can actually go after these quote unquote criminals. And now we've seen the definition of criminal move before it was rapists and murderers. And now it's anyone who has stayed in this country longer than they were supposed to. They are in the middle of the umbrella. Not staying in this country longer than they're supposed to. Illegal alien invaders. There's 20 million of them. And we want them all gone. We demand that they be all gone. You've got a nasty partition coalition to make sure that they're all gone. All, everyone, everyone from every country, every race, every religion, every ethnicity, you have to go. If you're not an American citizen, you're here illegally, you have to go. And this is why I think the ICE move by President Trump is so genius. Of course, try to help while the Democrats are going out of the way to make average Americans' lives more miserable. Send in ICE to support TSA. Send them in to assist. And you see ICE agents, they're handing out, you know, water. They're helping with the lines. They can't work the machines. They're not just like they can't go in and work a voting machine. They're not going to go to the voting booth and work the voting machine, just like they're not going and working the X-ray machines. That's not their technical expertise. That's not what they're there for. But they can help because they are ICE. They can help with checking IDs, move things along. And this is what they're going to do. What they're going to do, and Ken Cuccinelli, I'll play this tomorrow, Ken was on from CRA and really respect Ken over at RussVote's old group, right? In fact, I'm talking to their conference in a couple of months, I think it is, or next month. Got a lot of respect for him. And he was on last night with Cassie Hunt. And they said, oh, well, you know, they played bad and old bandage yelling and screaming. They're going to, they got to be there and they're going to be at the, they're going to be at the booths, right? And I said, no, they're just going to be there to check IDs and help things along. But if they're in, hey, ID, ID, ID, can you please step out of line? As President Trump says, they can arrest and should arrest illegal alien invaders or bad hombres that are here at the airport and they should arrest them in line during the vote. Why not? The people here illegally, they don't have a right to vote and they don't have a right to be here illegally. This is what ICE is all about. And they've been terrific. Now, the New York Times has a big story about Bovino. That Bovino says he didn't think they went hard enough up in Minnesota. Jack Pasobic knows this. Pasobic was talking to me and said, hey, it's Bovino. He's the type of guy that it took to, that it took to take control of Gaul under Julius Caesar. Exactly. And Bovino's telling the New York Times, I didn't do enough. There's more I could have done. Absolutely. This is what we need. We need the attitude of Commander Bovino. We need to bring him back. We need to bring him back. We need to bring Bovino back for the 2026 midterms. He's got to be in charge of all the ICE agents. So MSNBC, CNN, The Atlantic Magazine, suck on this. Bovino, we're making a recommendation to the President of the United States that Bovino's got to be brought back for special duty. Don't let him retire. Don't let him retire out of Yuma. He's going to be in charge of all the ICE agents at every voting place in the United States of America in November of 2026. Because we're never going to allow again another election to be stolen. But some more big dogs are probably coming after that, guys. Jack, let's start with you. Well, Steve, that's what... Certainly when you look at the force lay down of the... There, that's exactly what... If they were to pull the trigger and we're hearing potentially that you got... That are staged on the ramp. That they're looking at Carg Island and they are salivating. And Steve, I'm talking about the fight in the fight. Who wants to get that mustard stain, that combat drop back there on their chest to be able to wear that. They want to see what they train for, the best in the world... The 82nd Airborne, the best in the world, Steve. So what you would see in that... In terms of that, they can't make the jump in first. They take the... Come in, they hold the island. It would be the essential gameplay in there. And you could see that... You could see that in as early as 72 hours. Moe, is Jack right there? I realize the 82nd and the 101st do two different types of thing. I guess the 82nd is the best of the paratroopers. You're the best of the air assault, is that correct? Is this a Navy guy trying to take an edge? No, he is correct, unfortunately. But the 82nd, you know, once they're in there, you know that there are going to be more forces and troops on the ground once they send the 82nd. So, it doesn't mean once they send them in there that there's an exit ramp currently in sight. So, you know, once they send them in there, we will be sending more troops in there. Jack, what does this tell you about President Trump can't even find right now really who to negotiate with, right? And like you said this morning, they've got all these different alternatives. Talk to me about... Because he's kind of set a time limit on this. This is what Markers are looking for right now about giving these guys a chance. They came back with a ridiculous... At least one group of them came back with a ridiculous... Not even considering his 15 points, but really sent a five point punch list, which was America pays full reparations. You can never attack us again. And oh, by the way, you're turning over control of the straight of her moves to us in perpetuity. Your thoughts, Jack? Yes, Steve. I mean, that's a class of time, terms of response. And all of this, of course, punctuated on the news that came out of the Guardian, then later confirmed by the president himself that we got Wittkopf and Kushner maybe heading over there to Islamabad, Pakistan. And then the vice president, JD Vance, and this was again confirmed by Press Secretary Levitt earlier today at the press conference. We covered on human events that JD Vance may in fact be rogering up to head over, tasked by the president to go and lead negotiations in Pakistan right on the border with Iran during all of this. But Steve, when you ask those questions about the five day time period, think of it. It's the five day time period is what? That's the period between Monday and Friday. The market's open. He says we're going to have a ceasefire. And you really can't time it to the markets where a lot of folks appointed this out now. And then Friday when it drops, that's usually when you see the action take place. It's when you saw the initial strikes take place. That's when you saw the later expanded strikes take place. And then of course, should Karg Island, that operation kick off, wouldn't surprise me. If we woke up Saturday morning or perhaps go to bed late Friday and see that operation take off and take shape and say, hey, I gave him five days. They didn't want to play ball. So here's what we did. The Israelis now, the Israelis are starting a major offensive looks like in Southern Lebanon against Hezbollah. Hezbollah has, you know, lightened the place up with all those missiles and rockets they've got. But the Israeli high command has basically said, hey, look, if there's going to be a timeline here, if there's going to be five days, you know, we're still at war. And we agree with the United States. We're not going to attack the electrical grid. We're not going to attack the oil and gas infrastructure. But we're coming off the chain on everything else, particularly as they defang. And they're really the ones key on senior level command and control. What are your thoughts on that, Jack? Well, Steve, one thing that I do always want to say when we talk about these areas, I said it last year and I was actually kind of going back to some of our commentary from June of 2025 when we saw Operation Midnight Hammer. And one of the things that is a concern for me, not from necessarily a military perspective, but as a Catholic, as a Christian, as a believer in Christ, is that when you look at Southern Lebanon, there are so many Christian communities that are there on the ground that are caught up in the fire of this. They're not serving in Hezbollah. They're not fighting against the Israeli. They're not fighting against the IDF. But so many times you get these Christian villages that are caught in the crossfire. And this is the same type of subtext and a subplot that we saw throughout Iraq, throughout Afghanistan. So many times when these Middle Eastern wars take place, it's the Christian communities that completely get washed over and there's nobody there to speak for them. And I know that you've always made that a priority here on the war room. And I would hope that the war room posse always thinks about those Christian communities and villages and make sure to make a priority there. We hear a lot about, of course, we hear the Jewish side, we hear the Muslim side, but what about the Christians, especially in Lebanon? This is Jason Jones. And when the country hates the Bannons, the liberals, especially the liberals, hate the Bannons, they made sure nothing happened to me. You see that? I'm going to get banned, and I turned them on. I want to... And I'm sure that they took good care of you. They took good care of you up there, and hopefully that's something. Look, when we talk about the domestic terrorists in this country, when I'm looking behind my shoulder, I'm not looking behind my shoulder for the hell... I'm looking behind my shoulder for Antifa. I'm looking over my shoulder for the far left in this country. Did you guys know, and this was breaking news, I'll actually drop this, that up in Portland right now, our good friend Nick Sortor, you know Nick, we all know Nick. Nick was on trial, he was a witness in a trial, because he was assaulted up there in Portland. Well, guess what? A Portland jury just found a member of Antifa not guilty in the assault of Nick Sortor, even though she and all of her friends are on camera assaulting him. You cannot get justice with these liberal juries that just happened up in Portland. So if you attack a conservative in one of these jurisdictions, or by the way, if your name happens to be Bannon, and you're going on trial in Washington DC, there's no justice for you. I think the federal Department of Justice should come in here and immediately correct the situation. I agree, Jack. File federal charges. A thousand percent, I agree. And especially, you know, like you said, they threw my dad in prison. They wanted to silence him. They wanted his voice to not be heard. War rooms, state of float. But you don't get justice if you're a conservative. They want to throw you in prison. They would love to see my dad in prison for the rest of his life, because he is a conservative and speaks the truth, and uses his voice to spread the message. Well, and not only that, but we saw Thomas Matthew Crooks, who took a shot at our president. We saw Luigi Maggioni, who killed a healthcare CEO for the crime of being a white man who was successful in this country. And then we saw Tyler Robinson climb up on the roof of the Utah Valley building, and he took a shot and killed Charlie Kirk. And if we could, folks, I'd love if we could just take a moment and get a round of applause for one of the greatest patriots that ever walked this earth that's not joining us here today. His name is Charles James Kirk, and he was our friend. And when we talk about domestic terrorism, and when we talk about the violence in this country, look, if you've got an opinion, then I'd be more than happy to debate you. I'd be more than happy to give you a microphone. I would put you up on this stage and say, let's hash it out with our words, because we don't want to go to that place. We don't want to go there. We don't want that to happen, because that's what the war room stands for. We are going to stand for freedom. We are going to stand for civic liberty. We're going to stand for the freedom of speech, even for those people and their freedom of speech. But the minute that you cross that line, you cross every single one of us. Amen, Jack. Saying that her home is going to be a vacation home and in fact she was using it full time for family. The U.S. attorney in Miami, U.S. attorney in Chicago will be the deciders. Yeah. What can you tell us? Just yesterday, the House and the Senate transmitted the official transcripts of his prior testimony. He's going all the way back to 2017. This is all about Russia collusion. That's the final step that the grand jury needs to make a decision whether they're going to charge him for lying to Congress in 2023 when he said he didn't try to get the Christopher Steele dossier into the Intelligence Committee assessment. We know that's not true. We have his emails and where he was trying to get it in, but the Miami U.S. Attorney's office really extraordinary career prosecutors here. For Cuban refugees who came to America with their parents, they don't like what happened here. What's going on in America reminds them of what Cuba was like. They're going straight at this.
