The confrontation turns deadly. I'm Lisa Lissera, Fox News. It happened off the northern coast of Cuba. Cuba's government says its Coast Guard shot and killed four people and wounded six others aboard a Florida-registered speedboat during a firefight in Cuban waters. The Interior Ministry says when a patrol boat approached near Cayo Falcones, that shots rang out from the speedboat, injuring the Cuban captain, and that its troops returned fire. The ministry calls those killed aggressors and says it's providing medical care for the injured and investigating the incident. Florida Republican Congressman Carlos Jimenez calls it a massacre and says Cuba's regime must be relegated to the dustbin of history for its countless crimes against humanity. Fox is Carmen Roberts. The man accused in the deaths of NHL star Johnny Gaudreau and his brother Matthew wants a judge to dismiss the charges against him. Lawyers for Sean Higgins are asking for charges against their client to be dismissed based on new blood alcohol evidence. Higgins is charged with two counts each of reckless vehicular homicide and aggravated manslaughter in the deaths of Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau. Police say Higgins was drunk when he hit the brothers as they rode their bikes in August 2024. During a virtual court hearing on Tuesday, Higgins' defense team argued that a new toxicology report showing a blood alcohol level below the legal limit should affect the charges their client faces. Johnny Gaudreau played for the Columbus Blue Jackets and the Gaudreau family was honored on the ice following Team USA's Olympic hockey gold medal win. Tanya J. Powers, Fox News. Harvey Weinstein has hired the same lawyers as Luigi Mangione and Sean Diddy Combs as his third trial in New York is set to begin Jacob Kaplan Mark Agnifolo and Tenny Garagos confirmed that they will take over for Weinstein longtime lawyer Arthur Idala who will focus on Weinstein's appeals and pending civil matters.
