The Ringer NFL Show covers Super Bowl LX with guests Chris Long and Ashton Jeanty, discussing game predictions, NFL culture, player wellness, and sponsorship partnerships. Topics range from Seahawks-Patriots matchup analysis to personal health routines, Hall of Fame voting controversies, and fatherhood in professional sports.
Insights
- Super Bowl preparation differs drastically from regular season play due to media saturation, distractions, and logistical complexity that can disrupt player focus and recovery
- NFL Hall of Fame voting appears influenced by factors beyond pure merit, with potential backroom politics affecting first-ballot selections despite dominant resumes
- Professional athletes leverage personalized nutrition (personal chefs, juicing) and targeted supplementation (creatine) as competitive advantages unavailable to general population
- Social media algorithms increasingly influence consumer behavior and purchasing decisions across demographics, with targeted advertising effectiveness acknowledged by both athletes and media personalities
- NFL facilities provide significant non-monetary benefits (premium nutrition, recovery resources, apparel) that contribute substantially to player performance and lifestyle quality

Welcome to the Ringer NFL Show. I'm your host, Shiel Kapadia. We got a fun show for you today. A couple of guests here on Radio Row at the Super Bowl. We got Chris Long, and then we got Ashton Gentry. I wish I could tell you what we actually talked about, but I'm not sure. It went in 400 different directions, but you know what? They played ball, and we had a lot of fun. So I got Billy Gill here with me. Then we'll welcome in Chris Long. then we'll get to Ashton Jensie. Let's take a break. We'll come right back. All right, we are back here on the Ringer NFL show with Billy Gill and Chris Long, our guest today. Chris, how are we doing, my friend? I'm good, bro. How are you? Good. Great to see you. Chris is here on behalf of Subaru, Billy, and I feel like you got the details for that. I feel like, yeah, you're here on behalf of Subaru. They're partnering with the ASPCA, adopting some dogs. That's right. We like underdogs, right? Philly adjacent personalities on this pod here. Eight-year anniversary, I think, of us winning that bowl. Somebody texted me this morning. I don't have a calendar. But Subaru loves underdogs. We're going to Muttville later today to play with some dogs. And Subaru wants to encourage people to adopt the underdogs, the older dogs that people kind of pass over. I'll be going out there in a Subaru Outback Wilderness, which is tight. I've always wanted to get a Subaru and lift it up and put it on like 36-inch tires. You can imagine that. So maybe they'll actually hook me up. They haven't told me if they would or not. Okay. But yeah, they're working with the SPCA. They love underdogs. And I think it's just a great partnership. Yeah. Now, I was told, Chris, but I ran into some old Seattle radio friends today. Yeah. And they said, we got to get Chris Long on. He was the first person who adopted the Seahawks this year. Yeah. like a legit Super Bowl contender. Now, Billy's looking a little skeptical. Yeah, I mean, no pun. I picked him to win the West. I have a bone to pick with you. No pun intended here. What is it? We're here, you know, supporting underdogs. Yeah. And you're picking a favorite to win the game. Well, I'm not going to lay the points. That's a lot of points in a game that could be lower total. But I got to stick with my guns, man. I've been picking against the Patriots the whole playoffs. I'm not going to stop now. I just think, like, listen, if you're making the Patriots pick, it's probably a coach and QB pick, as good as I think McDonald is. Having Josh McDaniel, having Mike Vrabel, having people in that organization with Super Bowl experience because this is a different animal playing in this game. And the quarterback, who I think is legitimately, in my opinion, I would probably give him the MVP. If it's a regular season award, I'd give him the MVP. But I think Seattle's defense, and it's not just the pass rush, I think as much as anything, the way they can erase the run phase, and kind of play press and get up on these guys and take the receivers away. Drake May loves to play with timing. That's the one thing they've done really well there. They've coached them to play with timing. They have the checkdowns. Their timing is going to be disrupted in this game. The only thing I could see is like New England, as much as they've blitzed and gotten after people, if they can get Sam to do those Sam Darnold kind of things, which he's avoided in the playoffs, then they can win the game. Yeah. It feels like the Patriots path is Drake maybe in Superman or Sam Darnold turning it over a couple of times or the weird special teams, miscues, you know, because you mentioned the Super Bowl is different, right? Like what what invite you've probably been asked this question. It's probably a terrible question. You can make fun of me. But if you told these players who were in there for the first time, like, I wish I knew this before the first time I played in a Super Bowl. What are the things that are different? Find your normal as early as you can in the week. It is such a different week. It is a you-know-what show. You know, I remember, like, when I used to travel in the NFL, your quietest moment of the week where you're finally recovering physically. You've got some time. You know, if you've got kids at home, you're certainly not getting any quiet at home. You get to the away hotel. You plop your stuff down in your room. You lay on the bed before meetings, and you say, oh. But when I got to Houston, the first Super Bowl I ever played in, I remember trying to do that. And hearing helicopters outside, people outside, converged around the hotel. You can't go down to the lobby without people getting on you. You got Radio Row. You got Media Day. You got the owner having a party Friday night, like trying to watch film. And somebody from the team's like, come on. You got to go to this party. I'm like, are we trying to win the game or not? Yeah. You know, there's a lot of distractions. The halftime is longer. The whole thing. You walk out, because I used to walk out and do that little lap just to kind of like see the field. And I remember doing that before the Super Bowl and thinking like, Oh, my God, it is a zoo out here, dude. Like, it's like the world's media. It's got that big game atmosphere and not like a regular season or a playoff big game, like an international game kind of feel. It's almost like you wish you didn't go to the Super Bowl. All the hassles, you know? Yeah, you wish you came in on Friday. Like, honestly, like, as a player, it'd be nice to come in on Friday, but that's not the name of the game. But once the game starts, your adrenaline kind of just subsides. You hit somebody. That's what they say. It goes away. Billy, you had anything? You were going in a different direction. Otherwise, we get to these props. We're going to throw Chris Long's way. No, can I ask you something about the Patriots, your time with the Patriots? Yeah. So, obviously, the Patriots are in the Super Bowl, but the news around the Patriots the past couple of weeks has been Hall of Fame voting, Bill Belichick not getting in, Mr. Kraft not getting in. And we've been kind of talking about this for a while, wondering the whole Mr. Kraft situation. Like, obviously, it's a sign of respect, but why does everyone just go along with this? Why are we all just saying Mr. Kraft, Mr. Kraft to him? Oh, I don't know, man. That's a funny thing. I've called him Robert Kraft a lot. All right. Like, just right now. That was the end of your last day with the Patriots? No, just the whole owners. If I was to, I just don't think about that stuff. Like, owners, it's not like I'm anti-Robert Kraft, but I'm not afraid of Robert Kraft. He's not going to show up outside my house if I call him Robert Kraft. People seem to be afraid of him. I don't know why. He's a perfectly nice guy. You know, I thought the bill not being in the Hall of Fame was kind of BS. Because to me, like, what was it about? Like, if y'all had to guess, what was it about? It'd be anti-hosting. And it went enough, I guess. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I was buying this sort of backroom, Bill Pullian, hey, maybe he should have to wait, Spygate type. Because I can't think of another. And I'm not saying that's a great reason. No, I know. But I can't. No one can look at the resume and say no. So somebody tell me this. if the if the pats thought it was like or if the nfl thought it was like some moral high ground deal breaker shouldn't they have pete rose them like they didn't they kept enjoying you know the fruits of that dynasty they kept enjoying his greatness for all those years and then when it's time to recognize him you're like oh you gotta wait we're gonna tax you it's too big a deal to put you in first ballot yeah so we're gonna make you wait a year like what does that say about your moral high ground like like okay so we're too good for you year one but year two we'll let you in Like that's BS to me. And also like you know that hey he only coached in New England had success there Well he also they put his game plan as a DC in the Hall of Fame And you know how many coaches get in the damn Hall of Fame with one place that they were dominant Yeah. So why are we holding him to a higher standard? Yeah. That's the goofiest thing in the world, in my opinion. There was also the weird theory, Chris, of the, hey, everybody else is going to vote for him. I don't need to. I'm going to get these other guys in. Have you ever done that? Like, when you remember when you were a kid, did you ever have to, like, vote for teammates who were going to be in the All-Star game? That's interesting. You know, where it's like, well, everyone's going to vote for this guy. Let me give this other guy some love. Dude, I think, you know what sucks is like the Pro Bowl is totally broken. It's been broken for a long time. Yeah. And the Hall of Fame should be like, shouldn't be that. Like the Hall of Fame emotion shouldn't factor into it. Nothing like that. Like it seems like the only thing that we still have is like all pro. Like, you know, that to me. That's the only reliable thing. If you want to look at history of the last 10 years where you're like, I can actually trust this. Yes. Yeah. So, I mean, like, it's a broken kind of system. Yeah. It sucks that, you know, Bill should be in, man. Like, and maybe he comes back, and maybe that's part of it. Like, maybe he wants to come back and coach somewhere. I don't know. But, yeah, it's BS. The other thing, Billy, that caught my attention when Chris was talking, saying, like, you go home, if you have kids, that's going to be busy. We were talking this week about just the NFL culture as it pertains to fatherhood. You know? Jake Lazy. Yeah. Jake Lazy. He's flexing at me. He is. Oh, my God. Are we in danger? Yeah. I don't know. I'll protect you. Don't worry. Are we in danger? You're good. I'm coming. I'm coming. You call him Mr. Glazer, you know? There you go. He's saying. Are you hanging for a sec? I'll see you. Yeah. All right. What you got? No, yeah. Like fatherhood in the NFL. Jay just walking in on interview. I like that. That's the fun of being here. Do some jujitsu on you. All right. There was the. Him? You do jujitsu with him? I have before, but he's always. You know guys that do jujitsu, they like to like. they greet people and like kind of like do their moves on them you're you're substantially larger than him obviously but he has probably like the technique on his head can you oh yes you don't think he beat the shit out of you big truck he knows a little truck okay little truck knows jiu-jitsu that's cool big truck beats little all right okay what is the workout routine now i think we're of a similar age i'm trying to you know my whole instagram is just dad material now i know you guys being of a similar age has nothing to do with anything in terms of the rest of his stories. Similar athletic level, I would say. Similar, I would say. But my whole Instagram now, it's like golf tips. And then it's like, you're over 40. You should be doing this stretching routine. Walk, lift weights three days a week. You don't need to do anything else. If you listen to your algorithm, you'd never have time in the day. You'd be doing a bunch of stuff. But I do like the clothing and hat recommendations it gives me. Yeah, I buy some stuff off Instagram all the time. I love it. People get mad. I'm like, they know me. They know what I like. I bought underwear the other day that i was targeted at that says it has a ball hammock and i was like i gotta try it yeah uh i don't remember what it was try it see how it works out there's a promo code i have to sign up to like a yearly subscription i'm like we're gonna try it and cancel it immediately now you didn't have the fly i i've like a little capsule you know you know what else i've been targeted with lately yeah is mushroom coffee and it's supposed to be like four different or five different types of mushrooms gotta get your adaptogens these little things in there and then they combine it's supposed to get rid of my gut and i'm seeing it i'm like i gotta get rid of my gut yeah they're telling me here if i work out too much it's not going to do anything cardio is a waste of time what you got to do is just drink once a day for 30 days this mushroom coffee and it's going to clear out your guys have a really good algorithm my algorithms like like like accidents in other countries like semi trucks hitting motorcycles or like terrible news about the government and how screwed up it is or like football. I don't get any of this stuff. I need to get y'all's algorithm. But you don't need to work out. You don't need to get rid of a gut. They know you're fine when you're interested in seeing the accident. Maybe. I don't know, dude. You just need to take care of your microbiome, dude. Okay. That's the bottom line. How do we do that? Well, a lot of fiber. And you want to be careful about the foods that you're putting in your gut. Your gut health is your health, dude. That's what I've realized as I've gotten older. So what should I change? I don't know what you're doing, dude. You do a fiber supplement in the morning, Billy. Imagine everything that's bad. That's what I'm doing. Well, then I would stop doing those things. It's so hard. Fast food is so delicious. No, dude. Up the protein. Up the fiber. Up the greens, man. You know what happened to me one time? So I did track in college. So I said, you know, I was a pole vaulter, obviously. Really? Yeah. I didn't know this, Chris. What I said was, I got to put on weight. because at the time, I graduated senior year. I was weighing like 160 or something, right? I'm like, I got to put on some muscle because I'm like lanky. I'm tall-ish enough, but I'm lanky. I got to put on some weight. I got to put on some muscle. So I went into a supplement store and I was like, I got to get like some weight gain or I got to get some protein. So I asked the woman that was working there, I was like, hey, I want to gain some muscle. I want to gain some weight. What should I do? She's just like, take this. And what she gave me, she didn't know what she was doing. She gave you some gear. Dude, she gave me something that was five scoops of protein to put in a shake. It was like drinking mud. It was disgusting. I did it like three times. I couldn't force it down after a while. And then you know what happened to me? What? I failed my physical because they're like, hey, you're peeing out protein. There's blood in your urine. It's like soft serve. Yeah, you messed up your kidneys with this stuff. And I was like, I don't think this is life for me. Doug, that's why you can't go to like GNC and be like, what do I do? I didn't want to name anyone, but you nailed it. No, but like, yeah, what do I do? Honestly, though, creatine helps. Okay. If you're not on creatine, every man, woman should be on creatine. Everybody should be on creatine. I'm on seven grams a day. I actually cross my Subaru and create creatine gummies. But that stuff's good for your cognition. It's good for your muscle mass, your retention of muscle. Creatine gummies sounds easy. It is easy. Creatine gummies. Yeah, but it's not like a scoop that I have to put in and shake. Then you can have your gummies. Okay. Yeah, I'm just making sure. The first part. My mushroom coffee, my creatine gummies. Creatine helps a lot. I noticed like, you know how they say like, this thing works, this thing doesn't. When I don't take creatine, I notice a difference. This was great. You know, we came in with a plan. We all will throw some prop bets his way. Shahid. Shahid, longest reception you like? MVP, long shot. 30 plus yard gain. Because don't you think Marcus Jones ends up on Cooper Cup a lot. Yes. And don't you think they probably travel Gonzo a little bit. Here's the thing though. and not to go back to football. One thing I loved about Kubiak last week in general is where he moves his chess pieces. Like when they ran red zone scissors down there with JSN out of the backfield. That's what they're going to have to do. They're going to have to move people around, get them out of those matchups. But I think Shahid, whoever draws the Davis matchup, those are the props. Those are the props I'm hitting. What an interview that was, Billy. That was fantastic. Saved some dogs, bought some cars. Yeah, taking some creatine. Got a new workout plan, maybe. We'll follow up on that. you know, car accidents in other countries. For you. Yeah, dude, like terrible stuff. Don't look at that. Don't stop on those. A bunch of goats in a semi like falling off of like a dangerous road. Like that's... Now my phone is here and it's listening and I'm probably going to get that later. Yeah, you're probably going to get that later. All right, we are back here on the Ringer NFL show with Ashton Gentry, who's got this nice jacket on, this Sharpie jacket on here on behalf of Sharpie. How are you doing, man? I'm doing wonderful. Shout out to Sharpie. It's an honor to be one of their rookies of the year. And, you know, this year I get the honor of, you know, passing it down to another great running back, Jeremiah Love. So shout out to Jeremiah Love, man. See, he's a pro, Billy. I gave you the read because I was like, we got to read this for X2J. And he just kind of did it for you. Are you OK? Because he kind of stole your thunder. No, I heard you're passing the Sharpie to Jeremiah Love. I'm wondering, is this like an official ceremony? Like, how do we do this? Also, he mentioned your jacket. Yeah. What do we do with this jacket after you wear this out? You go to the club in that jacket. It's a nice jacket. A little warm. I think I'm going to keep it on. Yeah? I might go to sleep and all that type of stuff. Okay. But no, man, I'm just passing the torch down. You know what I'm saying? I can't be the rookie no more. You know what I'm saying? I'm going into year two. So Jeremiah obviously being an amazing player, doing bold things on the field. And Sharpie's doing bold things off the field. So it's only right to pass it down to him. I notice these Sharpies that you brought, they have your signature on them. You have like your own signature branded Sharpie. Yeah, no, it's pretty dope. Yeah. Can I ask you a question? And I love Sharpie. Growing up, I love Sharpie. I love when they have the different color Sharpies. The red, the green. What's your favorite color Sharpie, I guess? We'll start with that. Your favorite color? It's got to be the metallic silver. Ooh. That one's fire. I like the metallic silver over like the copper or gold ones that they have too. Like those are a little too flashy. It's a little too look at me, you know? Yeah, the silver is just right. You know, it's perfect. Yeah. You sign a Raiders jersey in silver, it's perfect. Everyone can use a silver Sharpie. Now, you know the problem with Sharpie? And I don't know what pull you have now since you're passing the torch or passing the Sharpie. I don't know if this ends your partnership with Sharpie. But my kids, two and four, also love Sharpie. The problem is they love decorating the walls with Sharpie. So Sharpie is a great product. It's such a quality product. The only problem with Sharpie is it's impossible to remove. Yeah, I mean, that just shows you how great they are. You know what I'm saying? It's permanent. You know what I'm saying? when she used it. It's commitment. Yeah. You're committed to Sharpie. I'm wondering, though, like with this pull that you have with Sharpie, maybe you invent a Sharpie eraser or something. You know, you pull this one out, it has your signature and then on the other end, boom, pink eraser or something. You know, you might be on to something. All right. Sharpie, come on. Let's go into this together. Let's do it. There you go. New partnership formed here. I know Ashton has not been asked that much about Sharpie in any of his other interviews today. So there we go. We're setting the tone here. All right. Now, Ashton, when you're watching the Super Bowl on Sunday. I'm not asking this for any specific reason, but when you see Kenneth Walker, are you going to perhaps just, again, for no reason, maybe be picturing yourself in that scheme with some of those runs? Hmm, how would I perform if, you know, hypothetically speaking, I were in that scheme with that type of coach? Yeah, I mean, you know, I definitely, you know, my mind might go there, you know, and shout out to Kenneth Walker, you know, having an amazing year, Amazing playoff run. But, no, you know, we'll see. You know, I might be looking at a couple things for sure. Okay. All right. Now, we had Chris Long on earlier today, and he was giving us some tips on just what we can do to be healthier. And you are, obviously, an NFL athlete. Great tip. He told us protein, fiber, creatine. Am I missing anything, Billy? We talked about, like, mushroom coffee because it will clear out your gut. He said gut health is very important. What do you have for us? Now, we're much older than you're looking at us like these guys are a lost cause, perhaps. But if you had to give us some tips, perhaps, what would you say? Yeah, I think it's just all about, you know, what you eat. I mean, I know everybody, you know, can't get a personal chef. But, I mean, I have a personal chef to really dial in my calories and, you know, exactly what I'm eating. And then I would say that everybody, pretty much everybody can get a juicer. Get you a juicer. Juice your own fruits. You know, make whatever flavors you want. And when you talk about gut health, you know, nothing's better for you than some freshly squeezed juice. But someone told me, Ashton, that when you juice the fruit, it loses the fiber. Is that a myth? Do we know? We're not sure. I don't believe in that. Okay, I like that. I love this. Can I ask you, so how does a personal chef work? Are you surprised by the meals? Like, you just come up and, like, the chef has, like, lunch is ready and you just sit down and lunch knows what you like. I'm so interested in this, too. Is there, like, a menu? Do you work this out in advance? Look, let's be real. I'm never going to have a signature Sharpie. I'm never going to have a personal chef. I disagree with that. So put a ceiling on what you can accomplish. I like that. Never say never. I like that. But, no, so, yeah, we have a menu, and, you know, especially now, offseason, you know, it's really dialed in. But, you know, some days it is just kind of go with the flow, you know. I might want pork chops. I might want salmon, you know. So he can cook just about anything, you know. Well, you're the boss, right? So, like, the chef can say this is what you should eat. This is what's good for you. What if you're like, you know what? No, we're having a pepperoni pizza today. Right. I could say that, but, you know, he's going to hold me accountable. Yeah. We're trying to be great. You know what I'm saying? Yeah. Maybe on the cheap end. The last thing is you're talking to two people who are not great, so we don't really understand that mentality. I have said, though, if I were ever to come across a nice, you know, amount of money, fruits and glutes. Those are two things. Fruits and glutes. Fruits and glutes. I want someone slicing the fruits for me, making me food like a personal chef, and then someone to stretch me out, Ashton, because earlier we had Chris Long sitting where you were sitting. I got up. I didn't want to kick him. And left groin, I didn't get my stretchers locked up a little. When I see you guys on the practice field getting stretched and they're pushing the foot up and the hammy, I'm like, if I could get someone to do this for me every day, I would be a new man. What do you think? Wait, so you want a trainer too? Like a stretcher, I guess. I just want a stretcher. I want them. Just a personal stretcher? Yeah, what do you think? Is this a business opportunity, Ashton? Not as good as the Sharpie idea. Right, right. I think there's something there for sure. Okay. He thinks there's something there. You're going to walk around the Raiders facility and just say hey guys next year new coach Well no we know there going to be a new coach We not sure exactly who it is yet but we pretty much know who it is Don get him in He cannot confirm or deny anything Possibly a new quarterback We don know that situation We not going to get into that We're not going to talk about maybe a new quarterback. And then also, new routine, new model. You bring everybody in before the game, hands in, fruits and glutes. I don't know if I can do that one. Okay. All right. I don't know if they would get ready for the game with that one. All right. Maybe just a one-time deal. Yeah. Yeah. See how they react to it. With the coaching staff and the change, are you online a lot? Are you just people texting you, hey, look at this? Are you like, man, don't tell me anything. I'll find out when it happens. How do you consume the NFL sort of rumor mill when it obviously could affect you, your team, your standing, all that stuff? Yeah, I mean, obviously, I got social media, so I see different stuff. But at the end of the day, I'm just waiting until it's official, you know setting stone you know when i'm in the building and you know i see those people in the building yeah we were talking you said you're on social media we were talking about our algorithms earlier with chris long he says he's got crazy stuff like crashes in other countries billy says he's getting a lot of underwear ads what was the thing you got billy hammocks that's what they get yeah i haven't tried i ordered them they came while i was here so i haven't tried them yet but they've told me that it's supposed to be good i got a trial so i'll let you know yeah next year you come back yeah i said mine's like you know i got some golf tips and then i got a lot of like you're over 40 like don't die early here are the things you can do what what is what is on ashton jenty's algorithm on my algorithm it gets it gets pretty crazy but i'm i'm not gonna lie i've been having a lot of ads like yeah underwear they've been talking about all this plastic and you know they all this dangerous stuff and i don't know yeah the micro thing yeah yeah buts too honestly if we're going to be honest and you know what happens on instagram but we don't need to get into that today if you don't want to yeah we're getting to know him yeah yeah next year yeah yeah we can we can get into the nitty-gritty okay yeah i said i like it that they recommend stuff for me because they know what i like when it's like hey you might want to buy this hat you're a bald man the hat's an important example i'm like great you know what i like do you like i like the algorithm when they're trying to sell me stuff i'm not one of these like doom and gloom like oh man i can't believe they're serving these stuff how do you feel about it i i mean i i feel pretty good about it i mean you know metas obviously you know they're listening they're taking notes so i might i might think something and then you know how do you you know do this but it just pops up later on you know i'm saying i had a huge argument with my wife because she's like your phone's listening to everything i go no it's i go no it's not the mic is off and the next thing i know something we talked about i vlog on instagram it's crazy well that's what i'm wondering too is it that they know us or are they like programming us like this is what you should like this is what you should buy that's a good point you know have you like you said that you keep up you have social media you see the news and stuff like that this game's in san francisco have you seen the stories of like that substation that's next to the stadium that's like a power facility that allegedly is like sending off these waves and that's why 49ers have been getting hurt i've i've seen that i've heard that apparently they're investigating it. Stay away. Are you going to the game? I am not going to the game. Stay away. Don't get close to that stadium. We don't want you to get hurt. No, I do think that was debunked with some reporting from some scientific experts. I will say this. A report came out that the Players Association is looking into this now. Oh, is that true? So now it's being taken to another level now. Listen, you got a nice facility in Vegas. Oh, yeah. Top of the line, you know, Intermountain Health Facility. It's wonderful. I mean, so he, so he, you get the personal chef for what dinner in the in season, but then the cafeteria, they're probably cooking up great stuff there too as well. Right? Wonderful. Yeah. This has to be, is that the best part about being a professional athlete? It's gotta be up there. It's gotta, it's up there for sure. Do they have stuff that you just take? Like you just take, not like, like criminal take, but like, just like extra stuff. Like you hear there's just a bunch of Sharpies, right? Like what do they have? Like normal people at work, they'll see like, oh, you know what? I could use a couple of pens. You swipe a couple of pens. You go home with that. What do you take from an NFL facility? They have, like, everything. I mean, for sure, the clothes, like the shorts, you know, socks. They got this big drawer with a bunch of socks in there. I go in there every now and just, you know, take a bunch of pairs. All right. I made that life change recently where I used to wear the socks in the morning. Then I'd come back and I would stuff them in the shoe. You know, my parents, first-generation Americans. We kept getting one. But now I'm like, you know what? I got a paycheck. If I wore it outside once and they're a little sweaty, I'm changing them. You don't do that? Yeah. No, I can't say I do that. You've changed socks multiple times in a day. Absolutely. That's crazy. That's crazy? Yeah, well, right now, I will say, you know, it's a little warm in here. I don't want to get too in. Again, it's our first time talking to you, so I don't want to do it. You can't go too far. Yeah, we can't go too far, but all right, there you go. Do you avoid the game just because you're one of those guys? It's like, I don't want to go to a Super Bowl until I'm in the Super Bowl. There's players that do that. I wouldn't say it's because of that. I just don't really have an interest to go to the game. You just want to get out of here. I just want to be at home. It's enough football. Enough already. How much football can you watch? I know, right? He's at the game. They got food, but it's not great. He's at home. He tells the chef, cook something up. Yeah. Wait, hold on a second. If you're going home, what's the party like? You have the chef cook up for everybody? You know, I'm kind of selfish, so he's just cooking for me. I like that. I love that. I'm keeping him all to myself. That's right. Feed all the people around you fatty foods and have their bodies fall apart. I get whatever. You should know what you got to do. This is what you got to do. When you're headed into, like, free agency, what you do is you reach out to, like, the other free agents that are out there. Right. Like, other running backs. You say, you know what? I got this great chef. And then you pay him a little bit extra on the side so that he's feeding them horrible shit that their body's breaking down. So when you head into free agency, you're in the best shape. And they're all eating, like, overweight, a little bit slower, bloated. Because he's your guy. I mean, that's a good point. I don't know if I could get all that done. If you want. He's going to be fine. He doesn't need that help. Put me in contact with someone. I'll do the dirty work. We'll leave it up to you. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'll make the call. This is the start of a beautiful partnership. Yeah. All right. His name is Ashton Gentile. It was a pleasure. Thank you for all the nonsense. You know, this is going to be unlike any other interview you do today. For sure. Check him out. Check out Sharpie. Thank you to Billy Gil. Thank you to Christopher Sutton for producing. Corey McConnell on video. And Ben Cruz on social. I'm Shield Kapadia. We'll talk to you next time on the Ringer NFL Show. 21 plus and present in select states for Kansas in affiliation with Kansas Star Casino or 18 plus and present in DC, Kentucky, or Wyoming gambling problem.
