Summary

The episode discusses leaked group chats from GOP and conservative youth organizations revealing widespread racist and antisemitic rhetoric, particularly within Turning Point USA circles. Hosts analyze the systemic roots of this behavior in authoritarian parenting, evangelical Christianity, and white Christian nationalism, arguing these ideologies create conditions for dehumanization and extremism.

Insights
  • Racist and antisemitic rhetoric in conservative youth spaces is not isolated incidents but a systemic pattern reflecting broader ideological indoctrination through family, religion, and political movements
  • Authoritarian parenting styles create a pipeline toward authoritarian religion and government, with marginalized groups (Black people, Jewish people) serving as convenient scapegoats
  • White Christian nationalism attracts diverse members (Cuban, Iranian, LGBTQ+) who falsely believe they'll be protected, when historical precedent shows such movements ultimately exclude all non-white groups
  • Intellectual laziness and tribal thinking enable racism to persist; the same white audiences consuming Black culture simultaneously harbor resentment toward Black people
  • Criticism of Israeli government policies is being conflated with antisemitism, which paradoxically enables actual antisemitism by preventing critical discourse and reinforcing authoritarian 'never question' mentality

Every single time young MAGA people get in a group chat, it always ends up with N-word and Nazi shit. Every single time. This is, I think, the third or fourth group message that has been revealed of the rampant racism and anti-Semitism that MAGA incubates. And these people are young. Pop this up. Philip Lewis posts, the secretary of Miami-Dade County's GOP started a group chat for conservative students. Within three weeks, it was filled with over 400 instances of the N-word, Nazi rhetoric and writings, and dozens of ways of violently killing Black people. And so this is what MAGA is incubating. I used to think, you guys, okay, Donald Trump is old. He's a dementia duck. He's going to die and the cult is going to fall apart. And that is so naive and wishful thinking on my part. He is incubating a cultural change here where these youth and young people are gravitating towards Turning Point USA, which of course is knee deep into all of this. And all roads lead to Nazism and racism. And it is outrageous. And I know it happens because just on a personal level, my son went over when he lived at home. Now he's in college, went to a friend's house, hung out with a bunch of conservative boys that went to a conservative Christian school, comes home and I said, how was it? And he was like, mom, they are all racist. I mean, it's just inward after inward, after inward, I will never hang out with any of them again. It was terrible. So this thing is incubating and these kids are learning this, obviously from their parents. And this is just a normal, fearless racism and antisemitism that these people take place in. And the thing is, they do it with impunity. Nobody ever calls in these white circles anybody out. So it just breeds and breeds and breeds. Well, from my personal experience, having grown up in a house that was racially very, very, very racist beliefs while being super, super Christian. So you have that. And it goes on for generations and then you surround yourself with people that do that And then pretty soon your kids are in groups that are doing that And for me I have to start calling it out for a long time I didn I just ignored it And I think that was detrimental to me and my kids. So moving forward, the people in my life know that that is not acceptable to me. But to act like it's not real, to act like, oh, no, we don't have a racial problem, that is completely a lie because it is my lived experience. And it goes kind of like this, you guys. Authoritarian parents, authoritarian parenting style gravitates towards authoritarian religion. You can chicken and egg that all you want to. Authoritarian religion primes you for authoritarian governments. It's a through line. And all of these governments have scapegoats. And the scapegoats for white Christian nationalists are black people, first and foremost. And now this rising anti-Semitism. And what makes me so angry about the fight against anti-Semitism is it's very real. And these groups that are incubating in Republican culture, Elon Musk that does back-to-back sick hiles, Benjamin Netanyahu, Israeli government that is going out acting like he can kill little kids, not be held accountable for it. Those are the things that really incubate anti-Semitism, but we're told we can't ever criticize Israel, which that in and of itself, being told you can't critically think, that you can't believe your eyes and hear your ears, that you can't believe those things. Those are incubators for more racism. It goes back to authoritarianism. Never question authority, never question your parents, never question your faith, then you never question your government. And Israel is at the state right now where they say, never question us, or you're a bigot in your home. Angie, if you ever questioned faith, don't ever question it. You're a blasphemer. All of these things are very linked, and it's very important in everybody's fight for universal human rights, in our fight to who have a place in America where black people can feel safe for God's sakes. I mean, these people literally cannot come up for air. And now there's a new generation of bigots. All of this has to be criticized. All of it should be open to inquiry and critical thought And here more on this pop this up All right Chris Evans posts Florida Cuban Abel Carval is the secretary for the Miami Republican Party He was just exposed for running a group chat that used the N-word over 200 times and called for extermination, extermination of Black people. Other members include Daryl Gonzalez and Ian Valdez. And then there's a horrific excerpt from there that I'm not going to read, but it is basically N-word, hard R, extermination of Black people. I'm never going to marry a Jewish person, just really vile bigotry. But here's what's interesting about this whole thing. And we saw this recently with Nick Fuentes. He went out with Andrew Tate, I believe. And they were playing Kanye West. The title of the song is N-word, Heil Hitler. And all of these people would be people that they're so, it's so multicultural, the modern world. You think Hitler's going to let a Cuban skate by? You think the white Christian nationalists are going to make a carve out? And this is the fool's errand that so many people get with MAGA. You're going to have Barry Weiss, Scott Besson. Both think one's the magic homosexual, the other's the magic lesbian, that somehow they're going to be safe in this MAGA culture. You had at the beginning, and I have empathy for the Iranian people living under such a brutal, oppressive regime, that you would take any relief you can. And it seemed like, oh, Trump is going to be the person that delivers this. Now, Iran is a country of 90 million people. Some of the people in Iran welcomed the Ayatollah being taken out. A lot of people see him as a spiritual leader. Iran is not a monolith. But to those that celebrated it initially, now you're witnessing the gauzification of Tehran, where they are intentionally bombing schools. They are intentionally bombing hospitals. They are intentionally taking out health infrastructure. these all of these things are linked that group chat is the dehumanizing of human beings and now we see that in policy and this rampant racism is something that white people must align with black people on unconditionally well here the thing from based on my lived experience evangelical white Christian evangelical faith and racism it cooked in I really if I look back on my history growing up and as an adult I can separate the racism from the Christianity. And then I look to how I thought and how I felt before I deconstructed my faith. I was entitled and I didn't have empathy or have any feelings or opinion about something. if it didn't happen or directly affect me. And I think we're seeing that like on a huge scale that people are able to say, I don't care if Iranian children are killed because my kids are safe. And I think that, again, just based on my experience, came from the religion that I was indoctrinated with. And as it pertains to the problem with racism towards black people, it's important that we link that a lot of the organization of the KKK, all of this was rooted in white evangelical Christianity. And the racism that is just such a feature in these communities, and they genuinely believe that Black people are beneath them and not as human as they are. And it's okay to make racist jokes and it's okay to demean black women and not really understand their plight because racism is so intellectually lazy. All of these kids in this Miami Herald reporting of this turning point GOP, it is the laziest thing on the planet. What's so ironic about the whole thing is one of the biggest tropes that white people put on black people is, oh, they're lazy. When racism is the laziest, most tribal, most toddler-like reaction people can have to something. And the fact that so many white people consume so much of black culture and enjoy it. And black people aren't mad that you enjoy it. But by God, there's a group of white people that are always mad at black people. It's just fucking ridiculous. All right. That's all we have. Please like, subscribe, comment, tell the racists in your life to go fuck themselves. And we'll be back later with more news.
