•Feb 12, 20262 months agoSummary
Chris Sims discusses the Seattle Seahawks' Super Bowl victory over the New England Patriots, analyzing team energy, defensive dominance, and quarterback performance. The episode covers playoff analysis, offseason implications, and Sims' behind-the-scenes Super Bowl experiences including meeting Bad Bunny.
Insights
- Team confidence and energy levels are tangible pregame indicators of performance outcomes, observable through body language and practice intensity
- Conservative offensive playcalling by underdog teams reflects lack of confidence in offensive capabilities rather than strategic preference
- Drake May's mechanical issues from college resurfaced under pressure, causing decision-making hesitation and staring down receivers
- Quarterback success depends heavily on elite receiving talent in modern NFL; scheme alone insufficient without playmakers
- Offensive coordinator departures create continuity risks; promoting from within preserves system understanding better than external hires

He said he knew the Seahawks were going to win the game before the game even started. Sims, what led you to say that? And why didn't you call me so I didn't have to watch the game? Well, I mean, listen, I, you know, one, my first gleam or look at that was when I was at there. You know, I told you I went up there for interviews, right? That's the first week after the AFC, NFC championship game. And again, not that that holds true, but I've been to some other places. Like I remember being in Kansas City one year and just going, I went out to like late season game and then playoffs. And I was like, man, this team's got a vibe and an energy and how they practice. that's just different than other teams I was at that year or other years or whatever. And even the day I was in Seattle, they didn't practice. But the vibe of confidence and who they were, it was a little bit like, man, they think they're good. They know they're good. When I got on the field Super Bowl Sunday, right, it got down by the Seahawks. So even before their pads were on, I noticed I was like, wow, I mean, the Seahawks are definitely a little more energetic on their side of the field. When the pads went on, you know, they go in, they come back out a little bit while later with the pads on. There was a tangible difference where you went, man, the Seahawks are down here going crazy, going. We're about to put a show on and show everybody that we're the best team in football, where you kind of felt like on the Patriots side of things. And again, this is not always 100 percent. And the Patriots, you know, can be kind of, hey, we're the Patriots. We're subdued. So you didn't know what to make of it. but I did feel like it was a little bit like, well, I, I, I hope we, we play our best game. We might be able to win the game. Right. And then, so I kind of went down and told Devin McCourtney and Rodney Harrison. I was just like, man, there was a total difference in energy. And they, they hadn't been much down on the Patriot side, but they were like the Seahawks are going crazy. And Rodney kind of made a comment like, man, they're going so crazy. I hope they don't run out of energy before the game's over. And I was like, they're so young, like that group over there. You don't got to worry, Rodney. Devin Witherspoon could have gone four sleepless nights in a row and not run out of energy. So, yeah, I did feel it on the field a little bit pregame. But you know that doesn't always match up. But I did feel it. No, but it seems like what you're saying is there was one team who knew they should have been there, and they were going to kick their opponent's ass, regardless of who their opponent was, and another team saying, hey, we have to play a perfect game if we want to beat this team. And that's a big difference. Right. It's a big difference. I think it's why it led to the boring game that everybody's talking about. Again, I don't find it boring. I'm okay with it, but I know normal fans, and I understand why they do think it's boring. And I think it was boring a little bit because Seattle was like, we don't need to take any chances. As long as we don't mess up, we're going to win the football game. And then on the other side of the ball, New England had both going on. One, their offense was like, we're not going to take any chances because Seattle, we played so bad on offense and everything. like Seattle can win the game with their defense. So we got to be careful. And then the defensive side of the ball, New England was, we got to take chances and make plays on the defensive side of the ball. Cause we don't really think we're going to be able to win unless that happens. Right. And then you saw some of those throws early in the game. They were, Oh my gosh. It looked like they were going to be, I mean, the safeties for the new England Patriots were seven, eight yards deep. So that was incredible. But I do think the Patriots thought they were going to be able to run the ball and kind of muck up the game like that. Right. Even we were sitting there 9-0, 12-0. You're going, they go down and score one touchdown. They're going to be like, this is exactly what we wanted. Oh, it's 9-7, and then maybe we can get a stop and get into field goal range 10-9. They went in wanting to play that way. But then the inability to run the ball at all, I think put more of the onus on Drake May and the passing offense that they didn't want to venture down that road to the extent in which they had to. And, of course, that led to some not good offense. And when you say it out loud, and this is crazy too, I don't mean to go long here, but I just want to say this point to button it up. Like, I mean, we went into the game, and one of the first things I said on air was that Sam Darnold's coming into the game feeling confident and great. The guy that was one vote away from being the MVP had an historically bad playoffs. And the top five pick at left tackle had an historically bad playoffs. and then we get to halftime and that was the story of the game to me was the guy that was one vote from MVP and the Boston mafia has been yelling at me because he should be the MVP and no he should not but that's been clarified then it wasn't as close as it should have been and that we got to the with halftime and the guy that was one vote away made one throw in the first half one the other ones were just dink and dunk. Let me do this. We got to the third quarter. No throws were made. We didn't have our second real throw of the game until the start of the fourth quarter on the drive where they were down 19, nothing and made it 19 seven. And that's crazy. When you say that out loud, it's crazy. And yeah, it just speaks to the game itself. Yeah. The guy who was one vote away is so passive aggressive. I love that by you. I mean, it's so great. Just call him the guy who was one vote away well yeah because i don't think that that to me was um i i i don't know if there was an easier mvp decision ever right for me in the last few years i vote on it and i like this they ever wanted in 11 pieces and hand it to the defense that's all this is where and again this is where i love boston fans because they stick up for their guys and they're amazing this way but i've said the new england mafia a lot they took over they hijacked this the whole conversation at the end of the year. Oh, Drake Mays got no talent, and Matthew Stafford's just got superstars everywhere. I want to be like, Puka Nakua ran 4-5-7, and Devontae Adams runs 4-7 right now. They're not as good as you think they are. All right, so let's calm down. Devontae Adams, they need a system a little bit to help them out. And, I mean, the touchdowns, it wasn't even close. The Rams play through the pass game. The Patriots don't do that. But we got into all these, like, all of a sudden adjusted metrics that people were looking at. And they were like, oh, let me find a way to find a stat that makes sense for Drake May. And it was crazy. And I think the playoffs should have showed some of the people that voted for Drake May, they should be a little embarrassed that they voted for him over Matthew Stafford. Chris, is this Seattle defense an all-time defense for you? An all-time, yes. But I guess it's like where you put it, right? Like, I'm not going to put it in the same category as the 2000 Ravens or the 85 Bears or the 2013 Seahawks or the 2015 Broncos. I don't think it's that group. I think it's maybe, you know, the group below that. And in that group, I should also include the 78 Steelers. They're probably in that combo too. But you know what I'm saying. I think those are like the special of the special. And then that next group down, the 86 Giants, the 92 Cowboys, some of these type of football teams, that's where I think you get into this Seahawks defense. I would say it's a top 15-ish, top 10-ish type of defense all time. That's what I would feel comfortable saying. Yeah, they're really great. Is this a team you could see winning two or three more Super Bowls over, let's say, the next, I don't know, seven or eight years? I think they can definitely flirt with that, yeah. Really? I think you look at it, you go, the young coaching staff, the quarterback set, they don't have to worry about that. the nucleus of the team is pretty young still, right? So that's where you look at it and go, they're not going anywhere. If they can keep a Rasheed Shahid and a Kenneth Walker here in this offseason, you kind of go, hey, the offense is set up. I mean, they're set up. The O-line is kind of set up. So they should be able to keep that group together and go forward. Defensively, they're young as hell everywhere too, except for maybe Leonard Williams who is in no way shape or form anywhere near the end of his career So they good there But everybody else for the most part you know is pretty young I know Julian Love he getting up there in years and all that but no major position where you're like, oh, whoa, they got to help that out. So, yeah, the big thing is, and that's why I'm not definitive here with you, as I usually am, is holy fucking shit, they're in the NFC West with McVay and Shanahan. And it just, you know, I mean, you see the second best team in football this year was the Rams. I mean, you know, so it's just not going to be that easy. Sims, speaking of Shanahan, I was working on my winners and losers from the Super Bowl. One of my biggest winners, your pregame coverage from the Super Bowl, man. Standing raving about it. He has been. Wow. I appreciate it, man. Yep. Thank you, man. I had a little bit of a different, you know, it was a different pregame for me. I've gotten, yes, good reviews from my bosses. So that's always a good thing. And it's always even better to hear it from people like you, Taylor, seriously. But yeah, it was a different role for me. I didn't really get to like talk a ton of football. I kind of played host guy, right? That just kind of buttoned it up with a comment of my own every now and then about the game. But it was cool. And damn, it's not every day you could say Super Bowl Sunday. I started out on a boat on the network that was doing the super bowl with two legends and Aaron Donald and cam Hayward. And then I jumped on a fucking helicopter and went to the stadium. And then let me just tell you, like went through the rush of rushes, got a police escort to the stadium was yelling at the cops and the cars in front of me. And the cops are awesome. Cause they were kind of like, Hey, if you want us to cut this guy off, we'll do it. Sounds good. And I was like, fuck yeah let's go I was like I got a segment I gotta be on in like six minutes and I literally ran into the studio the studio was like yeah and I'm not joking you they gave me a microphone and dab some makeup on me and I was doing my next segment live on tv so it was pretty special it was cool but thank you Taylor thank you oh so I'm sorry Taylor was there a question in there or did No, it's just a mask. Did you just want to glaze on Sims a little bit? That's all it was, Mikey A. He just wanted to wax politically about how great he was. Garrett is C-. It's unbelievable. Anyway, go ahead. Well, let me just point out then that, Sims, you were the first to tell us that Seahawks could win the Super Bowl. Thank you, Mikey A. Way back when. He told us a long time ago. I think it was like week six. We were like, and then the Seahawks. And you're like, no, the Seahawks could win the Super Bowl. But I want to ask you about, you were there all week. You joined us on stage a little bit. It was great. You said you got to play host a little bit. Who was the most interesting person you got to speak to while you were out there? Oh, I had a, first off, I mean, all right. So in our green, I got a lot here. And I would say, I want people to check out my Instagram because I got one video of just like the highlights of people I met that went from, went from Jay-Z to Travis Scott, to hugging Mr. Kraft, to Chris Pratt, the actor, to Stefan digs me and him pumping chest and him getting ready for the game and him literally going, who'd you take? Who'd you take? And I went, prove me wrong. Prove me wrong. Well, yeah, right. And we go way back, right. Me and him. But yeah, I mean, it was this run of like, oh my gosh, I'm talking to Jay-Z. I'm talking to Travis Kelsey. It's Jordan Love. Holy crap. Here's Travis Scott. Here's the Kraft family. Here's Chris Pratt. Here's Stephon Diggs. It was unreal. But the coolest was this, that I broke some rules. You know me. You tell me not to touch. I'm like, oh, I can't help it. I got to touch. So they, in our viewing room, they had a corner of the room with curtains. They told us the day before they said bad bunny is going to be behind those curtains getting ready for the Super Bowl pregame. Right. We'd like nobody to look in there or distract him. We're under strict orders. Right. Well, yes. Well, yes. We get to that time. And I'm not doing the halftime show. So everybody is now moved up to the studio. And it's like me and two wardrobe women and Noah Eagle. Right. You know, I and Eagle son, Noah, who does our college football games, everything is the man, right? Yeah, he's great. I'm starting to hear bad bunny warm up. He's a, and he's listening to some music and he's clapping. And I'm like, holy, I mean, shit, he's right here. He's right here. Like, this is unbelievable. And now, so I'm standing up and I'm cutting the lights are in there. So I can kind of see the silhouette of him in there. And I'm like, this is unreal. I mean, and there's a little crack in the sheet and I'm like, I put my finger just like this and like a kid with his, you know, hand in the cookie jar, his handler sees me as I do that. Right. And she says something to him in Spanish and he turns around and looks at me and I was like, let's go. And he was like, let's go, man. Here we go. And he shook my hand and he could not have been cooler, like not cooler. So that, that took the cake, right to go like hey i was just talking to bad bunny like four minutes before he just went out and did the biggest show of his life and he couldn't have been cooler that that took the cake mike yeah that is so cool you have told us in the past that you have stormed the field with your family at times to get front row seats to the halftime show at the super bowl did you do that after you met bad buddy i i tried to and i thought i had this little music thing on my pass. So we went out and I was like, here I go. This is great. And there we go. You know, in these stadiums that you got to like put your pass up to a machine and it lets you go on. Right. And they were like, access denied. And I was like, what? No, I have the music thing. And they're like, do it again. And I was like, access denied. And I was like, oh shit. I didn't have the halftime access. Right. But we did. You should have told them your bad buddy's friend. I know. Well, you know, the funny thing is we were kind of walking out with the show a little bit, and we had some people, I probably shouldn't say this, but at NBC, they kind of went with the masses and they slipped through the cracks and they never buzzed in and they got in and watched on the field, right? I should have done that. I should have done that. Why didn't you do that? I know. I usually break the rules. What was I doing listening to them at that moment? I don't know. Right. If they said, hey, that room right there, you can go in that room, Chris Sims. You never would have met Bad Bunny. They told you you couldn't go in there. Right. Exactly right. Exactly. I thought Mike Vrabel coached very conservatively in that game. What did you think? Yes. Maybe like a coach who knew his team wasn't as good. That's what it is, Stugatz. I think they knew they had to play that way. I think they looked at it, and like I said, they wanted to muck the game up, be ugly, and hopefully we can just make one play in a big moment and win 13-10 or 16-13. I think that was really their approach. I think they had real concerns about what their offense could and couldn't do against Seattle. But I do think they thought they probably would be able to run the ball with a little bit more success. So, but even within saying that, right? I mean, we went into halftime. I remember I looked at Tony Dungy and I went, damn, I mean, they're kicking the shit out of the Patriots. But it's only nine nothing. Like it's one play and all of a sudden we're back into a football game. And I really think that's how the Patriots wanted to play it. But then they got the 12-0. Drake May missed a wide-open throw down 12-0 where you thought, ooh, they could get this going here. And then, as we know, they made a strip sack and got the short field and scored a touchdown not long after that to make it 19-0. Stu Gatz here. A lot of people are talking about Drake May's injury, but this postseason was so bad. Do you have any concerns with Drake May moving forward, or are you kind of just looking at it as a four-game small sample size? Yeah, I think it's more of that, just like a glitch on the radar, right? I still think the future's really bright. My only concern is this, and I think I told you guys this a little bit before the AFC championship game. And again, I saw it in pregame and in the game itself, where some of the bad mechanical things that I did not love at North Carolina kind of reared its ugly head a little bit at the end of the season. And I think that's where the throwing was off. I think it's why the decision making was off a little bit, because he was a little bit like, I don't really trust where the ball's going to go. And we've talked about this before. If you don't feel like you have control of the ball, oh, wait, that window's a little tight. I don't want to throw there. And you're like, no, that's NFL open. And then you look for something else and you go, well, no, it's the NFL. They might be the only guy open on that play. And so that would be the only thing I would look at. But he's fixed it before and showed me he could do it the right way. And I would expect he figures that out and smooths it out once again. To your point, NFL Films released some audio on the sideline of the Seahawks talking. And they said he needs to see it. He needs to confirm that it's open before he'll throw. That's why we can jump the route. Well, there's no doubt. And I talked about that. I didn't know that. And that's cool that you had that context there, Mikey. Because one of the things I broke down on my podcast on Tuesday was, or Wednesday, was showing, man, was he staring receivers down? I mean, staring people down to where you were like, like the whole defense is going this way. And if you just stayed true to your reads, like you might've had some other people open and all that. But yes, it was, you know, like I said, one vote away from being the MVP and kind of lost his way at the end of the year, lost his confidence, and not only the decisions and the throwing like you're talking about, Mikey A, but you guys saw it too. Not good in the pocket. Moving places where you're like, wait, wait, there's danger there. Don't move there. Don't just step up and run into the back of your offensive lineman, right? There was stuff there where you were just like, man, you know, he really just kind of lost his feel there at the end of the year. If you're the Patriots, what's your focus here offseason? What do you need in order to beat the Seahawks if you indeed get back to a Super Bowl and play a team like that again. Right. They got money. You know, the interesting thing about this this year is a little bit it's rare that you see some of the top teams in the sport have the most money to spend. Yeah, it's crazy. I mean, the Chargers, the Seahawks, the Rams, the Patriots are all in top 10 and salary cap. So that's I mean, you talk about the Rams and the Seahawks are top 10 and salary cap like holy crap, right? Yeah, I mean, that's crazy. You know, the Chargers aren't far off, so they're them to have that money. But the Patriots, I think it's the obvious stuff. They need a real, legit, like, speed demon playmaker. I think they need one more guy on the offensive side, a receiver of that nature. And maybe that's already there. Maybe the Kyle Williams, the third-round pick out of Washington State, maybe he's that guy. I know he has that potential. And I think they need another playmaker on the defensive side of the ball. Their secondary is pretty good. But another pass rusher, right? We know the D tackles are good. But we don't ever talk really towards the end of the year about anybody coming off the edge in New England. And I think that's probably the other area I'd look at for them. You know, it's amazing what a wide receiver. And there aren't many of them, Chris. But Sam Darnold got good playing with Justin Jefferson and got better playing with Jackson Smith and Jigba. Like, it's important, you know? The day and age, there was a time, remember, like 10, 12 years ago, where teams were like, you don't need to have a star receiver to win a Super Bowl. And I was like, you don't need a star receiver to win a Super Bowl if you're the New England Patriots. That was the loss, what was lost in conference. So that's where everybody was basing it off of. Well, they don't really have a Super Bowl. They had Randy Boston one year. They lost the Super Bowl. It's like, okay, they lost the Super Bowl. They won the 18 games before that. Let's calm down and get into the context before that. But, yeah, I understand they could do it without superstar guy, but they're special, right? They were special scheme. They had an all-time great tight end. They invented the slot wide receiver. So they had other stuff to make up for it. But I think as we're seeing now, you got to have some guys outside that create cause attention to you and can make some plays that go above and beyond the playbook at times. And yeah, that's what he got in Rashid Shahid and certainly in Jackson Smith and Jigbo. PFT with Mike Florio every day on Peacock, the Unbuttoned podcast as well. Football Night in America. Won't see that again until next year. Sims killed it. Taylor gave him an A+. Sim should ask for a raise today based on Taylor's A+. Damn, I'm going in there today. I'm going in there today going, damn, Taylor said I killed it, and I need a freaking raise, all right? Get it done. What does this do, Chris? We didn't ask you about him yet. A very popular Super Bowl champion. People love Sam Darnold. Quarterbacks love Sam Darnold. What does this do for Sam Darnold's career moving forward here? Well, I just think he finally doesn't have to worry, right? You've bought yourself, like, you know, three, four years of, like, you're the Seahawks quarterback and there's nothing to worry about. That's the good thing. Right. And he's in a place that they're not all about the quarterback. And that's, what's great. It's a defensive head coach. It's defense run the ball. Right. Right. Right. So he's not asking them to see, that's the difference to me between what Minnesota, they were kind of asking them to be like, Hey, we need to throw 300 every game. That's what, how we play. And I don't know if that's necessarily beneficial, but yeah, people like Sam Darnold one, because when you meet him, you go, damn, He's an awesome guy. He's great to be around. He couldn't be more humble. And then I think people also really like him and respect him. Yeah, the hard journey where he's got, but they recognize the talent. Everywhere he's gone, people go, man, I mean, it's Sam Darnold. He can throw that damn ball. Damn, the ball comes out of his hand quick. Damn, he's got good accuracy. You saw in the game, his ability to make people miss in the pocket and do that the four or five times he did were kind of game-changing under-the-radar moments that got first downs, right? So that's where I'm really happy for Sam Darnold, grandson of Dick Hammer. How much should Sam and the Seahawks be worried about the departure of Clint Kubiak? Yeah, it stinks. That's the one bad thing about winning. You know, you lose that offensive genius type of guy. It sounds like they're going to stay in-house, which I do like, because it just keeps everything the same, and you can hopefully groom people and continue that. I'll lean on the Patriots again. They'll lose Josh McDaniels. Hey, we got Billy O'Brien. Let's move him up. Boom, boom, boom. Right? So then the offense, nothing has to be learned. You kind of keep the culture and the continuity there together and all of that, right? But there's going to be an adjustment period. I mean, again, you're going to be throwing somebody in there that hasn't called plays and hasn't been totally responsible for putting together full offensive game plans. They've all had their little areas. So it won't be easy. But within staying in and in now you don change things The language for your offense Your players can feel comfortable about the overall message right And Sam Donald fits that scheme and hopefully they can kind of you know continue their success there on the offensive side of the ball. Chris, we'll get you out of here in just a second. Yeah, you're good. It's not 10-30 hard, so don't worry. But, yep. All right. Patriot 3-14 last year. Make it to the Super Bowl this year. If there's a team you watched this year that was kind of in that same category as the Patriots were last year, let's call it that five to six win category that you think could possibly make the Super Bowl next year? And I think the obvious answer might be the Bengals. I'm going to go Giants here. Who's the team for you? Right, right. The Bengals are the obvious one. I mean, how about the Kansas City Chiefs? I think they're going to rebound. And they got a quarterback that people are sleeping on, all right? You know, I mean, really, you don't know. I mean, watch out. I'm calling my shot. No, I mean, yeah, you're right about the Bengals. We know the Chiefs. We got all that, right? I'm with you in what you just said. Yeah. The Giant, the G-Men. The G-Men, as we know, they were this close to winning a whole bunch of games there in the middle part of the year where you went, damn, are they going to make a trade at the deadline and go for this? Right? I mean, that's kind of what it felt like. Right. I mean, so you got a quarterback. You're going to have the new energy coach bump. The coach, of course, is going to be better. All right? Their defense has got some difference makers on that side of the ball. So I look at all that, and if you made me pick one, yeah, the Giants would be the team. Again, like I did with the Patriots. I didn't think they'd go to the Super Bowl, but I did pick them to go to the playoffs before the year started. And the Giants might be one of those teams where you go, ooh. You know, every year when that exercise comes about, you go, there's going to be one or two teams off the radar that's going to end up in there. Who might that be? I think the Giants are one of the shortlist contenders, like you said. tell you have one no okay i was just throwing out suggestions it's a nice bedroom he threw out the commanders well done he was throwing out the command well listen he gets a d-minus that's that's an airbnb it's here he was going with commanders because that's a team jade and daniel we forget about jade and daniel the nfc championship game last year no well i i mean listen washington i know you want to say that because of the quarterback but i would say they're doing some of the most like head scratching moves of the off season so far. I mean, what? Like, first off their roster is just not as good as people think. And they've done some bad contracts and paid people money that didn't deserve to be paid what they got paid. So there's that. And then you get rid of Cliff Kingsbury. Like I don't get that. And everything I know behind the scenes is like, Jaden Daniels is not happy about that. He's not happy. I mean, it's, he had a relationship with them, right? He ran a system that was similar to what he ran in college, you know, so that allowed him to hit the ground running. And Cliff Kingsbury has become one of the better offensive minds in the sport after taking away a year away after leaving Arizona and being fired there. I mean, he's got it. So I'm shocked by that. And then Dan Quinn was hired to coach the defense. Right. And he waits till the defense falls apart and then comes in on week 11. It was like, oh, I'm going to coach the defense now, even though the season's over already. And then now we're going to not still coach the defense, even though you were hired to coach the defense. And we're going to hire somebody to run a defensive scheme that you don't really know. I mean, none of that makes sense to me. So yeah, I'm not real bullish on the commanders right now. All right, Sims. Welcome to the off season. Stu and I have been here for months. We live in the off season. So yes, I'm going to ask you this question now, and then I'm probably going to ask you again in a few weeks once we really get into it. Yeah. Derek Carr, Tua, Kyler Murray. Who do you want? Kyler Murray. Kyler Murray, for sure. I think so. No doubt about it. Really? First off, where did Derek Carr say he might come back? Not only did he say he might come back. He says he loves Aaron Glenn. He loves the Jet fans. And they just hired his favorite offensive coordinator to be the quarterback coach. so he's going to be the sacrificial lamb for the new york jets this year i'm calling that now i wouldn't do that um oh i wouldn't do it either it's terrible no no no no kyler would be the guy i'd want out of those three but the guy i'd really want is malik willis excuse me as i'm trying to burp here and talk at the same time yeah malik willis malik willis would be the guy i'd want over all of them But out of those three, I'm taking Kyler Murray. Yeah, I mean, Kyler Murray's still got some things about his game that are dangerous. It's not perfect, as we know. But I'm definitely not taking Tua. You know that. And, yeah, I wouldn't be real excited if I was a Jet fan and Derek Harv is coming into town. Sorry. I think the Dolphins hired the two guys they hired to get Malik Willis. I think that's where he's going. That makes the most sense to me, right? Yes, yes. And you're going to have to pay him good money, but I don't think it's going to be like boatload franchise money. Right. And they're on the hook for two as it is already. So they're going to be looking for some guy like that. But yeah, I hear you guys. There's a lot of green Bay connections down there, down in Miami right now. You were really flummoxed by Derek Carr. Huh? So was I, I missed that. I was like, well, first off, cause I'm like, I know everything that's going on in the NFL. So I was like, I missed that quote. I mean, that's where I was almost flummoxed altogether. I was just like, what? So that's where it was getting me. Welcome to the off season. I've been here for months. Yeah. Speaking of the offseason, what do we have to do, Sims? OK, Lake Tahoe, the golf tournament. OK, it's on your network. It's the best. I'm telling you right now, it's the best thing your network does all year. Your network does a lot of great things. This is the Super Bowl. I don't give a shit. They do this better. I'm telling you. If Taylor can get me that raise, I'll be there. All right. Listen, Taylor, can you imagine? Taylor's been there now. Baker's there and Darnold's there. The guest we could get if Chris Sims was hanging around with us. It could be good or bad. I'm hot and cold with that stuff because I got guys that, oh man, you're the man I love coming on with you, blah, blah, blah and can handle it. But I have other factions of people that are like, hey, Chris is too real and he's spoken candidly about my flaws before and I'm going to avoid him at all costs. So that could go either way. All right. I got a better suggestion. Taylor, this is for you. Billy brought it up a thousand times. Me and Taylor will actually do it. Sims University, me and Taylor come to your house. You teach us how to watch film. That could be a doable thing. That's more realistic. Taylor's never going to leave. The toddler thing's cool, but it's my few weeks off, and it's a pain in the ass getting there. I don't really play golf, and I like you guys, but not that much to fly to toddler. Oh, man. All right, Sims. We appreciate it. Again, PFT every day with Florio on Peacock, the Unbuttoned Podcast as well. So Airbnb, Mikey A's where he usually is.
