Today I would like to talk about music. And idiomas diferentes. I like to listen to music in different languages, but I'm going to talk only about Spanish music in this episode. In fact, I'm bringing you a text about a Mexican singer that I like a lot. This way you can practice some listening comprehension and get some new recommendations. I understand that listening comprehension activities can be tricky. And that's why I organised this episode a little bit differently. I'm going to start with some key words, key vocabulary, that you're going to find in the text that I will read. After going through these keywords, I'm going to tell you three questions that I will ask later. This way, you know what information you should listen out for and that way it will be a little bit easier. After telling you the three points that you should be focusing on, I'll read the text twice. After reading the text those two times, I'll ask you again these three questions and then you can answer. After that, I'll give you the answers. Muy bien pues, todo listo, vamos! Let's start with some key vocabulary you'll hear. The stacada is an adjective that means important. The stacada. Then we have a lever and this is the name of a Spanish artist. Leiba. We also have a lanzado. This is the perfect tense of the verb lanzar. And when it's related to music it means has released so it comes from the verb to release. A lanzado. We will also hear exitos como solista. So exitos esa masculin and plural noun that means hates. And then we have como solista which in this case means solo. So this exitos como solista means solo hits. We'll also hear lea permitido. This is from the verb permitido and it means it has a load here. Lea permitido. And the last word in our vocabulary list is This comes from the verb con solidad. Now the questions are ¿A qué se dedica a Jimena? What does Jimena do for a living? The point two is menciona al menos dos artistas con quienes haya colaborado. Mencion adlís two artist whom she has collaborated with.
