I was just absolutely terrified and the bed felt like it was vibrating. That presence was between me and the door. I was being choked. I could hardly breathe. I couldn't speak. I mean, it's as if I was totally paralyzed. I wasn't sleeping. I was wide awake. He told me he was taking the baby out. When that door closed, that attack became very physical. I didn't know what to do. And all I heard in my head is say Jesus. I had no clue even why. I mean, that's how little we knew. But I fought. And finally, I just said Jesus. And when I got it out, just like that, it was broken. The history of our Earth is so different from what we can imagine. The Smithsonian, and if they found out about large skeletons somewhere, was to go get it. I'm going to assume at least one person is right because if one person's right, it busts the paradise. It all goes back to the fallen chair. And the problem with the modern day church, they had a very truncated view of the supernatural. This backdrop is just pregnant with all kinds of meaty, associated with this Mount Hermann of Vienna. Welcome to the Holy creatures. And this guy defects from the kingdom. That's a big deal. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Hey, everyone out there in the blurry verse. I just wanted to say thank you guys so much for supporting this podcast. Over the years, we started in 2020. And the logo was designed in the fall of 2019. And over the years, we've been able to release so many of your stories out there in the world. And people who supported the show allow Luke and I to do this full time and curate, produce, cut these down. And without you, this would never happen. And we often feel overwhelmed with the emails we get, and the stories that people share, and just how much the show has meant to you guys over the years. And every once in a while, I think it's, I just want to say, you know, thank you. And I know Luke does too. And he's running around right now with his family. And I'm just cutting this real quick to release for today's members episode. But we love you guys. And we love just the journey we've been on. And we just feel like conduits between the message, bringer and the audience and really get to ask a few questions. Yesterday, we got to interview Kirk Cameron, which was one of my childhood heroes and one of my favorite TV shows. And it just felt like a cool reminder of like how far the trust has grown between people who want to come on our show and continue the conversation. And you know, we started this in the basement. And it's grown into such a wonderful thing. Today's member episode is one of those where people trust their story with us as a family and missionaries to the reservation, had a bunch of blurry stories. So thank you guys so much for all that you do for blurry creatures. Thank you for supporting what we've done and continue to just give a couple bucks a month to the show and help us continue to produce this and find these stories and put them back in your ears. So blurrycuchess.com slash members. If you want to join in and get access to this and so much more. But stay safe out there. Take care of your families. And we love you. And we know this is a this is just a cool thing that's happening and we're very grateful for it. So thank you. All right. Welcome back to blurry creatures. We're excited. There we have a we're going back to the 70s in the 80s, which is what we like to do here. You guys we have Darcy who served at the Navajo gospel mission and had a lot of supernatural encounters. I'm sure we'll get into today. And then later you guys served at the voice of the martyrs from 97 2013. And Darcy's here obviously I don't know how much your daughter is involved with Kristen and your daughters with you as well. So welcome to the podcast. And I'm not sure which which a part of these stories is more and who's more involved. I'm assuming Darcy you were around for most of the the wild stuff in the 70s and the 80s. But welcome to blurry creatures. What do you thought? Well for me, we came to and we're outside all the time. I just have to be honest. We never saw him. Doesn't mean I don't think there's great possibility. He exists. And the more I listen to the podcast, the more I can lean that way. But yeah. Yeah. No sightings on my part. What do you think though? I mean, let's we're going to get into some wild stuff that you you thought you guys had both experienced when you were doing ministry on the Navajo Reservation. But do you know, do you think Kristen, you have any thoughts? What do you think about Bigfoot? Do you think he's out there? Do you think he's real? What do you think he is? I do. You know, the more I'm listening to y'all, I'm starting to to buy into the the cordle issue. Yeah. How he comes and goes. My thought is perhaps he's like a pet. You know, you got the aliens and perhaps Bigfoot is an alien pet. I don't know. I've never seen Bigfoot. I've seen a UFO, but I've never seen Bigfoot. So, but I'm always looking. You're firmly in Nate's camp. No, they'd always like to bring up that like they feel like they're wandering around lost. Maybe they get dropped off here and they just are like, but you know, I don't know. This is where the whole podcast started. Did you see a UFO close close? It was fairly close. I was with my aunt. We were in a car. We were driving through the desert and we both saw it. We've talked about it since then for years. You know, in fact, every time we're together, she gets remember when we saw the UFOs? Yes. Did you see like details or just something moving? Do you want to tell that story start? And then we'll go to the Navajo Reservation or what? So, all it was we were driving through the desert middle of the night. If you go from Arizona to California, my grandparents lived in California. So we would travel back and forth. And this was probably early 80s, late 70s or 80s. I was I was 10, 12. So, in there and we were driving across the desert and we could see often the distance. It looked like a dome and there was like swirling lights kind of pastel-y pretty lights. Didn't know what it was. You know, out there, there are like power stations and stuff. So you come across stuff everyone's while but as we got closer, it was getting larger and it was very clear that it literally looked like a teacup upside down on top of a plate. No handle, obviously. And there were just all these different swirling lights. So she stopped the car. We sat there and looked at it for a few minutes and then and then we're just driving away. I don't remember what happened at the end of that. We both have the same. We remember stopping and looking at it and then just driving off and not really pursuing any further. Yeah, like, well, that's interesting. Wow. That's cool. A way to go. I had to go from the reservation. Yeah. Yeah. You know, you know, what is this? The desert's fascinating. I mean, like we, you know, when we first time we had Ali on Seattle town, he talks to his whole story is about seeing a UFO in the desert in Iran and it going into the sand. It's wild. It seems, yeah, I don't know if it's a matter of these empty spaces or the fact that there's not a lot of light pollution or or what, but it seems to be a lot of things that happen there. But more so, it seems a lot of things happen on the reservations on the res. This is, it's funny. I've got a very, very good friend. One of my best friends who's a chakita, his wife is a blackfoot native and they recently sent us bigfoot. All things we were talking about, they put bigfoot tracks that her cousin found outside the reservation, the blackfoot reservation in southern Alberta in the snow. Well, of course, we've had, you know, we had John Redberg Dover on the show and he was the Navajo Ranger. Possibly the time that you guys were there. So let's go there, Darcy. Yeah. It's so cool. Obviously, Kristen, he wrote into us and said, Hey, right on behalf of my mom and your our family were mission. She didn't know. Yeah, she had no idea. And we know our family were missionaries on the reservation, the Navajo reservation in the 70s. And that's where the story begins because all kinds of really wild things ensue and happen as you guys step out to bring the gospel to, to the Navajo people in the reservation. So Darcy started us out there and then Kristen, jump in where you have memories or you know, or where where moms forget a detail or whatever. Well, I can tell you for, I came out of the Jesus revolution and my husband and I both were saved just a year apart. And we never should have been able to go to the reservation. I should say that as missionaries. I don't only know the Lord may be three and a half years. I knew nothing. Absolutely nothing. And my husband didn't either in that time when you came to Christ, you immediately started working discipleship wasn't a focus. Nothing was a focus except to just serve. That was your faithfulness. You're going to serve. And so that's what we did. And a group of Navajo's came to our church and told us there was a need. And this Navajo gospel mission, they needed dorm parents. And my husband says it this way. I looked at Darcy. She looked at me and we knew God was calling us. Okay, that is not what happened. He looked at Darcy and said, God is calling us. And I looked at him and said, what are you saying? I mean, we're really doing this. So Chris was five and a half when we went to the reservation. I was at that point about five months pregnant. And we went into a dormitory with 18 Navajo girls from about six years old to 12. Our family exploded just overnight. We knew nothing about the culture. The mission really was the kind of mission that believed in total immersion. Like you get there and you're going to learn. Well, that is as they've learned as years have gone by, you do need cultural input. You need to be prepared somehow. And we just weren't. So we did learn things the hard way, but we learned. And that was good. And I really felt like things were going forward pretty good until I started having just I thought maybe visions. I would see.
