Let's start in Bonner Springs where an ex detective in newly released court documents. Well, it's not pretty. New light has been shed on the stocking and exploitation allegations against former Bonner Springs Police Department detective Kyle Rector, 39 years old. He was arrested by the KBI and was charged with the crime of sexual exploitation of a child, stalking breach of privacy and official misconduct and unlawful computer acts. Authorities said he was suspected of using department resources to stalk his spouse. His employment with Bonner Springs was terminated on January 26th and court documents released yesterday detailed the allegations and evidence uncovered by special officers. He was also charged with the crime of sexual exploitation of a child. He was terminated. Police officials contacted the KBI. Notifying them that he had been let go after they discovered he used law enforcement technology and equipment to stalk his wife and two men. He used license plate readers, information databases, remote computer access and numerous other Internet resources to gain personal information about his past and past estiver being submitted to the Ин Ин Ин Ин Ин Ин Ин Ин Ин Ин Ин Ин and we'll be looking for a better way to get to that. The honor springs Police Department, so we'll be keeping an eye on that story here on KCMO number two. Well, next up the earnings tax vote as we've been talking about. It's on the ballot today in Kansas City. You're going to the polls to vote on a five year extension of the 1% earnings tax for not just Kansas City residents but also for those who live outside of Kansas City. We'll be looking at the earnings tax on the earnings tax. Taxation without representation. The earnings taxes in place has been in place since 1963 in Kansas City, and the expectations are today it will pass with flying colors. Number three. All right, let's go to Overland Park where there was a vote last night that got attention as well on the! The first location is going to be Kansas City Council. To move ahead with the portfolio homes development. What is that? The pilot program is designed to support a select number of development projects and exploring ways to expand the overall housing supply as well as make housing more affordable in OP. The first location. Is going to be homes and duplexes and 70th and Switzer. The project would bring six new homes on each one acre of land and the pilot program shall extend through June 30th of 2027. Number four. Let's go to Iran. The deadline is 8 o'clock Eastern time tonight's where President Trump has said is there is not a deal with Iran. Well, he's going to unleash hell and blow up a bunch of bridges and power plants. This followed by the last two days of the press conference that we carried right here on KCMO talk radio. The supposed news radio station in Kansas City K and BZ did not carry the press conference, so do with that information what you want. But negotiators are now pessimistic that Iran will meet the 8 p.m. deadline tonight, which could pave the way for the U. S to target Iranian bridges and power plants in what would be obviously an opportunity to start a new campaign. We're going to talk about the importance of this war. So we'll see how this deadline. Comes tonight. That's eight o'clock Eastern times seven o'clock central time. What exactly may be in place and what this all means going forward. There was supposed to be a press conference coming up here in just a few minutes with Pete Hegset, the secretary of war that. Was canceled late this morning. Obviously this war could be. Going to the next level. At 8 p.m. Eastern time tonight, but of course the president could delay that deadline, which he has done four times before if he sees a deal starting to come together, so we'll just have to wait and see how exactly that plays out and what exactly happens in the next 13 hours. Number five. Well, how about Michigan winning the national championship last night in the U. S. 16. 69 to 63 Michigan taking down the Yukon Huskies and few things make me happier than watching Yukon basketball lose as a Villanova guy. So go Michigan. They win the national championship. Congratulations. It is the Wolverines first national championship since 1989. And you know they were dominant in a lot of ways. They won the national championship. They won the national championship with less points as they have for the entire tournament. Instead they won this game without being very good shooting from three, despite the fact that they were money from three against Arizona on Saturday in the final four. But their defense was locked in and they were able to keep you con and check and win the game by six. But I will note for those of you better is on fan. Dole you con did cover the spread that's right. Dan Hurley now is the first national championship. He's the first national championship. He's the first national championship spread for Yukon every time Yukon is a lock in the tournament to cover the number. How about that? That's outstanding. All right. Well congratulations to Michigan. And then last up number six. Let's go to Cleveland where the Royals get a win last night over the Guardians for two Carter Jensen since it was a night game, his alarm went off in the middle of the game. And then he's the first runner to play to win back your teammates hit a home run. Over the team that was in first place and still is in first place. I know it's early in the ale central first place on the line today between the Guardians and the Royals, but Carter Jensen and Jonathan India go deep. Michael Walker gave up one run in seven innings Royals beat the Guardians for two last night. They will play the next game of the series today. It'll be at 12 10 first pitch today at 12 10. The first game of the series is the first game of the series for the Kansas City Royals against Gavin Williams and the Royals are five and five. The Guardians are six and five. So the Royals win today. They'll be in first place in the ale central 11 games into the season. All right, so hey, it's never too early in baseball. Have some fun with it.
