Cruise News Today with Doug Parker. Good morning. Here's your cruise news for Wednesday, April 22nd. U.S. Customs and Border Protection says four cruise ship crew members have been deported following a screening at Port Everglades. Officials say the individuals had their visas revoked after allegations tied to inappropriate material were found on their mobile devices. Authorities say the crew members were not charged in the U.S. and instead being processed for removal. CBP says the action is part of ongoing efforts to enforce laws at U.S. ports of entry. Though the ship was not identified, the case follows similar crew member deportations in the past year. And Carnival Cruise Line is clarifying its policy on wagons and tightening up its onboard rules. Yeah, the line says foldable utility wagons are, well, they are allowed, but they must be folded and carried at all times. It can only be used while off the ship while in port. Carnival says the restriction is due to safety concerns, including blocked hallways and potential damage to the ship's decks. Passengers are being urged to review the updated policy before traveling to avoid having items confiscated at embarkation. And Mobile, Alabama is preparing for bigger cruise ships and expanding its cruise terminal. City leaders say the Carnival Valor will replace the smaller Carnival Spirit next year adding about 1 more passengers per sailing Now to handle the increase the city is planning a new ramp to speed up boarding and improve safety at the terminal Officials say the upgrades are key to attracting larger ships and possibly adding a second vessel in the future. The proposal is expected to go before the city council this week. And cruise stocks were down Tuesday. Carnival Corporation down 5.5%, 27.36%. Royal Caribbean down 4%, 271.40. Norwegian down 5%, 19.33. And Viking down 5.5, 81.30. If you have a lead on a story, let us know. Tips at cruiseradio.net. Have yourself a great Wednesday. I'm Doug Parker with Cruise News Today.
