Summary

Danny Pellegrino recaps Summer House's spin-the-bottle party episode, analyzing cast dynamics, relationship drama between Kyle and Amanda, and a meaningful conversation about racial representation in reality TV. The episode features heavy drinking, kissing games, and hints at mid-season conflict including potential breakups and business disputes.

Insights
  • Reality TV editing significantly shapes narrative around cast members' attractiveness and behavior; off-screen moments may contradict on-screen personas
  • Straight male cast members on Bravo shows often lack compelling romantic or sexual chemistry, affecting storyline credibility
  • Racial representation in reality TV creates additional pressure for Black cast members who face audience scrutiny beyond typical reality TV criticism
  • Late-season casting additions (like Dara) can signal production struggles with original cast retention and engagement
  • Business ventures by reality TV personalities (DJ tours, alcohol brands) often serve as secondary storylines masking relationship issues

You seem to be dwelling on the DJ part. Was there another part that I should dwell on? All the stress from Loverboy. I'm just, we don't ever talk about the DJing thing. We've talked about Loverboy for years. I know it stresses you out. I know you're always trying to figure it out. Just wondering what your plan is with DJing also because, you know, I'm not really roped into it. I didn't marry a DJ and all of a sudden, I'm now the wife of one. I never married a DJ. So what's happening? Hello, everyone. Welcome to Everything Iconic with me, Danny Pellegrino. That was a clip from this week's episode of Summer House. Amanda was so brave in that scene, not only for telling her husband about how she felt about his new DJ career, but also she was doing so much eating in that scene. And you know how I feel about eating on camera? And that woman, Kyle's alleged that she's been smoking the ganja at night. And I don't know if she was or not, but she was doing a lot of eating in that scene. And I'm just someone who's very sensitive to that because I always think like if I was on a reality show, I'd be so scared to eat on camera because you're shoveling food in your mouth and all of a sudden you see yourself on screen and it looks crazy. And so she was doing some brave eating work on that scene. I mean, half the time I wasn't even listening to what she was saying. And I'm still, of course, very clearly, I want to say that I'm team Amanda. I'm team Amanda, despite the fact that last week I was on Watch What Happens Live with DJ Kyle Cook. That's right. I don't know if anyone caught it last week after the episode of Summer House aired. I was on Watch What Happens Live with Kyle. And so I got up close and personal. I was able to try to ask some questions on air. I was trying to give him the business. And of course, Andy was grilling him too, but all the stuff that was going on behind the scenes, whether or not Amanda's dating West or Jesse or any of these other people and whether or not Kyle cheated during the relationship. And Andy was really grilling. And I was trying to get in there too because I was working for the people for you guys. We got to all get the answers to what we got to get the answers for. And so luckily Kyle was a good sport about it. He was. And he's still very attractive. I have said that before on the podcast. I've gone on record, gone on record saying that he's a very attractive man on Bravo. And somehow is aging backwards. And I don't like that. I don't like that because I was even looking at him in person. Sometimes you watch these shows and you think, maybe they just look pretty on camera because of the lighting or something. But then in person, he just looks like very youthful, like very young. I can't even believe on this episode he was celebrating his 43rd birthday. And I'm like, what the fuck is that? What is he doing there? And I was trying to, I'm looking for like injection marks or some sort of, I don't know, the threadings or plastic surgery scars or something like that. And I didn't see not a one. So I'm like, what deal with the devil? Did he make a sick, sick and actually PMO piss me off. Anyway, we're going to talk about summer house on the show today. We got so much to discuss. And I do love at the beginning of the episode, it was like previously on some of us and it was like Ben's, it was Ben's Australian accent. Did you guys get to privacy on some of us? I don't think I'm doing, I'm not doing it justice. But if you go back and listen, I like that they had him doing the privacy on some of What a butthole, you know, we, and speaking of what a butthole, we open with them playing spin the dare with a spin the butthole. And they just have three lover boys. I look, I didn't understand the rules of this game. We're playing some sort of spin the bottle truth or dare situation. And honestly, like one of my, one of the things that I'm just not good at is if I'm playing a game with a group of people, I cannot listen to the rules. And I think of myself as like an intelligent human being, but whether or not I'm drinking or completely sober, if somebody's trying to explain the rules of a game in a group, I'm just not going to breathe it in. My brain is just not going to accept it. Like it can't hear it. It can't, I can't put the puzzle pieces together to understand it. And so even watching this, I was, it wasn't even involved in the group. I'm just watching on TV show and somebody's trying to explain like how we're playing the rules of this game. And I'm like, I don't fucking understand what they're even saying. Like what are the rules? Why were there three? I understand spin the bottle because I played that before. We're doing like three spin the bottles. And then Amanda was at one point was suggesting different rules for the married people. And Ben was like, absolutely not because Ben, I'm sorry to say, like I mentioned last week, I do think that he wants to, you know what, with Amanda, he does, he wants to make her panties drop, drop, drop. Make it go pop, pop, pop until my panties go drop, drop, drop. Did you guys ever see that episode of Watch What Happens Live with DJ James Kennedy and Lala Kent? It was years ago. It was a van from Vanderpump rules and they were on Watch What Happens Live. And it's one of my favorite appearances that has ever happened on Watch What Happens Live. And I felt like this was the week that we needed to add it to the sound board because at one point in that episode, Lala just starts singing. And then after she starts singing, James is rapping and he's beatboxing and it's, it's so good. There ain't nobody that I'm feeling more than you, boy. So let's keep it moving. Make it go pop, pop, pop until my panties go drop, drop, drop. I can't, I can't believe that happened. And I had to add it to the sound board. So it's making me laugh. But anyway, so yes, I do believe that Ben is trying to make Amanda's panties go drop, drop, drop. And until she goes pop, pop, pop or whatever the hell Lala was saying in that impromptu performance that she gave on Watch What Happens Live. But so they have these different rules. And so they're not playing by the different rules. And they do end up having a lot of smooches, a lot of smooches happen in Sierra and Bailey Tunkis at one point. And then Ben and Bailey too, Bailey's getting Bailey's skin the action. She's tongue kissing everybody in that cast and perhaps saw other people that we didn't see because she kisses Ben. Despite the fact that last week there was this whole thing between Bailey and Ben because at the dinner table, she had said, she blurted out like Ben wants to fuck Amanda. And then of course it was big drama. And then Ben goes up to her room and is like, how dare you say that or whatever. And Bailey starts crying. She's like, it was triggered by it. And it was like this whole thing. And everybody the whole week, I've been seeing so many people argue back and forth whether or not Bailey was right or you on Bailey's side or Ben's side. And then, then we, meanwhile this week, then they're just smooching up the joint playing this game of a truth or dare spin the bottle with three different lover boys. I still don't understand that. Why do we have three love? Is it was that just for lover boy promo? I don't know. I was trying to get to the bottom of the lover boy too. And I saw Kyle at watch what happens live. And he was even explaining to me some like the business side of things and saying, oh, well, I can't even explain it because it was like a lot of business. I hate to say mumbo jumbo, but it's like a lot of business mumbo jumbo. And I even as he was telling me, it was like, you know, I sort of check out of the conversation, like God bless. And he's very wonderful man, but explaining it to me in that moment. And yet I didn't understand any of it. And he was saying on the show, he's tried to explain some of the business mechanics of lover boy, but they edited out because it's not what the show is about. And so anyway, I still don't quite understand, but I guess lover boy's having some trouble. He said he had to invest, of course. I think he was like hoping that the lover boy business side of things would be worked out by now, but it's not. But they're getting all this free promo, aren't they? On the show. Anyway, everyone's making out. Even Ben gets in naked in the pool. He's got a cute little caboose. Does he does make it go pop, pop, pop until my panties go drop, drop, drop. That's what I was thinking when I saw that cute little caboose and Ben was hopping in the pool. Now Amanda accidentally called Levi Lexi because Lexi was a previous cast. Remember, we also had a previous Bailey. And so I do think that they're going to have to circle in bed, different names. But if they bring in new cast members and they have the same names as former cast members, then we're just going to have to change them. I don't care if it's legally or just for the show, but we're going to need something different because these Levi's Lexi's Baileys, they're getting confusing for me too, and I'm taking notes. But Levi makes out with Jesse and they are editing Levi out of the show. I was trying to get to the bottom of that with Kyle. And from what I understand, and obviously this stays between those girlfriends, because I don't want to get in trouble that I'm spilling all the dirt that I got. Not that I got a lot of dirt, but it seems to me like Levi is being edited out of the show. And I think Dara was perhaps added late to the show, which is why Dara is sort of like not in the mix right now. She was, of course, KJ is talking about how they're dating and kind of hooking up. But I think they added Dara sort of late in the run. I don't think Dara maybe was necessarily supposed to be in the whole season, but then she got in the mix. And Levi, I think, hasn't been getting in the mix. And so they're like, OK, see you, Levi. Get out of here. Get the fuck out. How about you? Get the fuck out. God bless Levi. But she's just flopping. You can't flop. And that's, I've seen some people say like, oh, they need to give Levi a chance or they should show Levi more. And the truth is they would if she was interesting and they just can. She's not interesting. They're not going to show the person. And I don't think I understand sometimes bringing people back for a second season if they had sort of a rough go at the first season. But if they're flopping too hard right off the bat, then we need to just cut our losses because this valuable screen time, there's plenty of other people that need to be on screen for us to watch. And so if you can't even make compelling TV when you're first getting out there, then unfortunately, you're going to go. And so that's what's happening with Levi. She's going to go to go to go to go. OK, so then West is flirting West is definitely like, I hate. I don't want to say that West is on something other than lover boy. But I am implying it. Because he's checked out. I don't know where West is, but he's certainly not. On earth or in present as he's being filmed this episode. And you can see when he's holding Sierra's leg now. Again, I'm not alleging that it was doing any sorts of drugs or or I'm not alleging. That he perhaps when they were out at night, got into some other substances or anything like that. I'm not saying that. I'm not saying that outright. I'm not going to say that outright on a microphone. It's a big accusation. So I'm not going to say that directly to any of you. I'm just here to report on the show. But I feel things in my soul. And I might not have facts or receipts or proof. However, I feel things. And so something that I feel, I might not always want to say directly. However, moving on. Okay. So West is holding Sierra's leg and he moving the chair close, touching her back, tries to grab her hand. It's very awkward. It's very awkward. Kyle and Amanda also kissing this moment. And I think Kyle said, Oh, I've been missing making ever missing making out or something like that. And then even as they're kissing and playing this game, everyone's having fun. And this feels like a young youthful show. This feels like a little bit of a different show than we've been seeing all season because it's just like spin the bottle. Everyone's wasted. They're showing B roll to, I had to point out that they showed footage of the front yard of summer house and they did have some sort of animal walk by. And I would just like someone to maybe go back and examine this. I didn't rewind it and I sort of wish I did because in the footage after Kyle and Amanda kiss while they're playing this game, the front yard, when they show it, there's an animal that's walking by and it was terrifying to me. It was sort of scary. I thought like, what is that animal? Or is that who's the, what's where the animal come from and what animal is it? It didn't look like just a squirrel to me. And it didn't even look like, I don't know. I thought maybe it was a coyote. Did I ever tell you that story about how I went and tried to almost pet a coyote? Because here, yeah, I almost pet a coyote, two of them actually, because after the fires here in Los Angeles, I'm sort of close by to where that was. And so a lot of the animals were displaced, unfortunately. And so I'm walking the neighborhood. Some mornings I like to walk the neighborhood and I'm walking, I got my headphones on and I see in someone's front yard, there's what I think are two dogs. And so I'm like walking towards them. I'm like, oh, little cutie doggies. Like they weren't, they weren't on each. They were bigger, but I still thought they were dogs. And so I'm walking, walking, walking, like towards them. Because as you do, you see a dog, you walk close. You see something, you say something, you see a dog, you walk toward it. And so that's what I did. I see the front yard and I'm walking toward it. And I think, oh, nope, those are coyotes. So I had to turn down the direction. But so I'm looking at the front of the summer house, front yard, and I'm thinking, who are, what is this animal walking by? It didn't look like just a raccoon. It didn't look like this was something. This was something. So maybe we need to go back and figure it out because there's animals on the premises. And so maybe we need to mic them up because I feel like they're getting an outside view or maybe get a GoPro on them because they're going to get the footage that the other camera people cannot get. Because I know that these people, when they're drunk like that, I'm certain that things are happening that we're not seeing. I know the whole house is under surveillance, but if the whole house is under surveillance, I bet some of the gas members, they maybe find other routes around the surveillance cameras. And so I'm thinking maybe we put a collar and a GoPro on whatever the animal that was. And so then if anyone tries to escape to the backyard, you send the, send the coyote with the GoPro on it and you catch it. Because, you know, as I always say on the Bravo shows, we can't be missing footage. And it's happening too much on the real house size where things are happening off screen. And so I just don't want that to happen on summer house. So you mic up the animal that's in the front yard. That's what we need to do. Now they all DJ and dance and they're drunk. Jesse's doing some vocal stuff. And I do hear that Jesse, I'm so, unfortunately, I have to report that he is going on tour. And I believe it's a singing tour, which is, it's, it's shocking. It's shocking. And he's just going to keep doing it, I suppose. And so God bless, God bless. But then meanwhile, Ben and Bailey are in bed and they sort of make up now. So they weren't even feuding for a whole day. And yet, it seemed last week they were going to be feuding the whole season. But she says she's happy that he made out with her because it means that they kind of are good now and they're not going to be feuding. But can I say something that's mean? No, I shouldn't say this. No, I'm not going to say it. Should I say it? You remember a few weeks ago, I always said Bailey, I think she's going to have a second season glow up. If she gets another season, I think she's going to have a glow up. Now, Ben, though, my prediction for Ben is that he might eventually have a glow. Did you ever see someone who looks like they're going to age poorly? So anyway, then we cut to the next day. Kyle wants. Kyle wants to shower with Amanda. And she's like, absolutely not. She says, absolutely not. And this made me think like maybe they, the rumors are true that maybe they were broken up and they're just pretending now for the show because we're not even seeing them drive into the house together. So we're also not seeing them. They kissed, of course, when they were playing spin the bottle, but so did Bailey and Ben kiss when they were playing spin the bottle. So the idea that they're not traveling into the house together and then. But Kyle was saying, like getting, getting a shower with me. And she's like, no. And I do sort of understand, like, I look as much as I love happen to shower with the hot guy. If I'm not in the mood, I just want to shower alone. Like I just want to get in there and sing some Taylor Swift and shower and have a good time by myself. Like I don't necessarily want to, I want to have like a good, you can't necessarily get a good shampoo and conditioner when you're in there with somebody else because you're focusing on other things. And so especially if you've been in a relationship for a long time, it's like, okay, I'm not in the mood right now. Like I just want to go in there, play my music, put my DJ Spotify list on and have a time by myself to do my vocal warm-ups. And that's, that's what I want to do. That's what I'm singing in the shower. That's who needs to be going on tour. Not Jesse. Why is Jesse, what song does Jesse have? Like Lala, I, well, I guess Lala just got that one song and then she's got the Uber Eats commercial where she shouts savings. So I guess Lala has like a couple of hits. And when is she going on tour? But yet these men are touring left, right and center. We were, Sandoval's going on tour, DJ Kyle cooks on tour, Jesse Solomon's on tour. Why is all the men going on tour? And when am I seeing Sheena Shay and Lala go on tour? And that's the patriarchy. I hate to get into politics here, but the truth is, if there's a just world, then everybody because support Sheena Shay on her endeavors to shout good at his gold on a stage in front of us, a hundred different versions, a rock version, a Uber version, whatever the fuck version, the regular version. She had a song called the apples. Like, where, why aren't the women touring? And yet these men just, these men just go around the world just touring nothing. They're not even touring nothing. Jesse, don't even got a song. What's what hit song does he have? None of them. Oh, Sierra, I love Sierra. What was that one? What was that one in the confession? I was like, we're friends now, but then we're not going to be friends soon because I like you and I like my friend. Wasn't there a song about friendship turning to love that he said he wrote about Sierra? I love my friend. You know, like that's not something that people have been singing off air. That's so at what point are we just going to say, no, absolutely not. You should not be on tour. I'm sorry to be a hater, but it is. And the truth is a lot of people, a lot of you out there are going to buy tickets as perhaps will I, you know, who knows? Who's to say? Sometimes. Sometimes we do the yin and yang or what's the saying I'm looking for? I don't know. I'm running on very little sleep. So if some of the things I say that I don't make sense, then so be it. It is what it is. Okay. So then, uh, yeah. So where are we at here? Uh, Kyle wants to show with me and Sierra says she's getting too old for this, meaning the drinking and Amanda says, welcome to your 30s almost. And I was like, Oh my God, Sierra's not even 30 yet. She's not even 30. Mimi feels so old. West says he doesn't remember anything and doesn't even know where Sierra's at in the relationship, doesn't remember the last night. And clearly he didn't, wasn't going to remember anything from the night before because I saw the look on his face and he was vacant. He wasn't there anymore. It was like whatever substances he was having. And if he was just having lover boy, you have to have a lot of lover boy to look like how West looked that night because I do believe that West is also in his, is he still in his twenties or if not early 30s. And he was vacant behind the eyes when he was holding Sierra's leg and they had showed that footage in the preview for the season. And yet, uh, seeing it in real time, I was like, whoa, he's definitely not there. And so of course he doesn't remember anything because his spirit wasn't there. Spirit was somewhere else. I don't know, doing something else, which is fine. And he's a young, he could, should do it and could do it if he wanted to. And again, I'm not saying that he did anything, but perhaps other people might think he did and I do not want to say if I did or not on a microphone, but I feel things. Okay. Then we cut to the city. We cut to the city. Bailey calls Carl to grab a coffee and ketchup. And I thought, what? Huh? Since when? Who, since when? Since when are Bailey and Carl friends to catch up? And they did edit it out because it, what must not have been interesting enough, much like they're editing out Levi of this show. Uh, but back in the city, we also see KJ working out with Dara. Uh, we see Dara who's playfully teasing KJ. She says, you got to playfully tease the person you're with. Uh, if you want to flirt, she said, but you don't want to bully. There's a line that you cross when you bully and we've all kind of, I don't know, any awkward flirters out there. I feel like there was a time, of course, when you're an awkward flirter, sometimes you do land in bully territory. Like you're trying to be, or I was always like that. If somebody was like that with me, if they were playfully kind of ribbing me, that was when I, I wouldn't do it on my own. Uh, but if somebody was coming at me with sort of like a playful, like, uh, they used to call that negging. Remember that guy, the mystery? He was like the, the dating expert. He used to say that was a negging where it's like, you, you negatively say something to someone and it's like that you want you to win your approval back. So it's like a method of flirting. And so if somebody did that to me, if they were like, oh, did you, I don't even know how you would neg. How would you do it? It would be something like you would insult them. And so then I would come back and say like a way more insulting thing. I'd be like, yeah, you're a dumb ass. You're a dumb fuck. And then that would be my response. And I would think it was flirting back and they'd be like, why'd you just call me a dumb fuck? And I'd, you know, think why I was flirting. But so there is a line that can be crossed. I'm speaking of lines. I do have to point out Dara's confessional town lines. The confessional town lines were tough for me. And I just, I would like us all to go back and look at it because. I don't know. I don't know. I would just think like you're being on a professional and look, she's a first season person and I think she was added late. So perhaps she didn't have a chance to do a camera test before she hopped on in front of the red light, but the tan lines are a lot for me to see. And so it would just be, but God bless her tan and she looks gorgeous. She's a beautiful stunning moment. Beautiful Dara. Dara, am I saying her name right? Dara. Sometimes in my notes, you know, cause I take the notes quickly. And so sometimes it just says Dora in my notes and then I think of Dora the explorer and it's like, I can't, it's a lot. These names are a lot for me. Yeah. I'm not as young as these people on screen, although I am younger than Kyle. That at least makes me feel good. Okay. So then we cut to Kyle and Amanda with their dog, Reese. Kyle says he can't sleep from the stress. Amanda tells him to cut back and Kyle brings up the DJ and says it brings him the most joy and helps with the lover boy. And he says he can't pump the brakes on it because he's about to sign with the manager. And this is when Amanda's like, uh, uh, how long are we doing? And then this DJ thing, and apparently for a while in the Kyle, when I was at watch what happens, I was explaining the DJ business and it does sound, uh, like they make a lot of money doing the DJ thing and touring, you do make a lot of money touring. And so despite the fact that I don't know what all of these people are touring and what kind of show they're putting on, I do think they are making a lot of money more so than they might make at, uh, from an alcohol company. So, uh, but I think like, yes. And I tried to say this to him on watch what happens live. I said, yes, but maybe something like an only fans is somewhere you also make a lot of money, probably even more than touring. And yet you could stay home and make your wife happy. Now, I don't know how Amanda would feel about Kyle doing only fans, but I still feel like if you're going to make the deal with the devil, at least please the wife and stay at home and take pictures of your caboose instead of going out, hopping around the DJ and the clubs. And Amanda says, you're just going to be traveling and playing late all the time. There is a, I, I did mention Kyle looking very attractive on camera, but his confessional with the weird lighting. Did you guys see this? The one confessional with the weird lighting. It looked like he had that. Remember when Ramona got a facial on the real estate in New York and it looked like it or face was a pizza pie. That's what it reminded me of. And what's what you're reminding me of. Anyway, we talked about Amanda eating on camera, right? Um, then we cut to Friday, August 1st. Everyone's heading to the Hamptons and we're getting Lindsay in the Hamptons. Thank God. Uh, thank God. As soon as Lindsay's shown up, I think here we go. Here we go. One more time. Everybody's feeling fine. Here we go. Now let's just, here we go. Now I'm loving that. Um, I'm sorry. Lindsay is saying on camera that she's like, I don't care about Carl at all. But then when she gets in the group scene, she's like, so Carl, you had lunch with Bailey, like what's going on with that? You fucking Bailey, you know, like she's getting right in the mix and she's gossiping, but then in the confession, she's like, I don't really care anything about Carl. But she knows how to make a good TV show, but it's funny that like the dichotomy of that. It's like, oh yeah, I don't, I don't care about Carl at all. I don't even want to talk about him. I'm not interested in saying anything to him. I've moved on. I don't care at all. And then immediately at dinner, like Carl, you're fucking Bailey. And it's like, I loved it. You're reminding me of my mom. Sometimes when I, like if I call my mom, it's like we're gossiping. We're gossiping. It's like, she's like, Dan, did you see how that person looked? What was that about? Why? Who's did I tell you about this person? Did I tell you about that? Did we talk about that? And then immediately, like if we're in a group of people, it's the opposite. I was like, I don't want to gossip. You know, I'm not a gossip. I'm not going to gossip, Dan. And I love that. I love the dichotomy of that. It's like, yeah, that's right. And behind closed doors, we act differently or with different people. We act differently, but Lindsay's starting. She knows that she needs to get in the mix on the show. Anyway, moving on, let's take a break here. But I come back so much more to discuss. I want to thank A-Cast and we'll be right back. Hello, everyone. Today we're talking about the unpleasant nature of ghosting. Oh, I can help you with that, Makita, because it all started on a cold March evening. No, we're all kind of ghosting, Danny, right? Well, you can tell that to the dark spooky presence in the hallway. Wait, what? From ghost stories to gossip and everything in between. BBC sounds. Packed with personality. This is your business. This is your business, supercharged with the help of zero counting software. These are your numbers. These are your numbers, sorted with the help of zero counting software. This is you. Hi. This is you taking business where you want with the help of zero counting software. This is your business, supercharged with the help of zero and having your numbers sorted all at the same time. So you can finally focus on taking business where you want to. Supercharged your business today with the help of zero. We're back. There ain't nobody that I'm feeling more than you. OK, where are we at here? The summer house, Friday, August 1st. Everyone's heading to the Hamptons. West had also heard that Carl and Bailey had a date that again, they edited out of the show. Carl says he's vibing with Bailey. He's crushing. But here's the frustrating thing about this big ass cast is he's crushing now. They edited out the date and he's crushing on her now, but then she's not even coming to the house this weekend because they got too many people on this cast and they can't pay in a, I don't know, they can't give everybody an appearance fee for every episode or something. So I don't know how it works, but she's not filming. And I'm thinking, why isn't she filming? That he's finally got a crush and we're going to, we might have a new relationship on our hands. And yet they're like, well, she's not coming this weekend. And I thought, what the fuck producers? You just put them on a date together. Then you get Bailey at the house. So get somebody else out. Get somebody else out for the weekend. What do we don't need Kyle there this weekend? Or we don't need some of these other people can go. Okay. Some of the other flops can go if we don't have. We need Bailey there. Come on. Come on. Amanda and Mia go together. No, Kyle. Mia says something about going to the restaurant, opening of her boyfriend. And I have a problem with this because we are not seeing the boyfriend at all. And so I don't, I don't give a fuck about him. And I need her either dating somebody on the show or bringing the boyfriend on the show or this, we need something else, something else needs to happen here. Then we're celebrating Kyle's 43rd birthday this weekend. Amanda's putting on a happy face for him. But again, they're not driving there together. Even for his birthday, that's fishy to me. Kyle and Ben drove together. That's fishy to me. Lindsay took an Uber. That's fishy to me. Do you think she had to pay for the Uber? Obviously Uber Eats is doing all this free promo on the show. We're not free promo. They're probably paying a whole bunch. They probably had to back up a Stanley truck full of money. Is there a stand, is that a thing? Stanley truck? They probably had to, is that what they're called? Those big ass trucks. I don't know. But they probably had to back up a lot of money into Bravo HQ to get all that Uber Eats promo. And so I wondered, does that cover Lindsay's Uber to get there? Because an Uber from the city, didn't they say it's like four hours to get there? So that's an expensive Uber ride. Are they paying for that? But even if Bravo's paying or Uber's paying for this, Lindsay, to take a Uber to the share house, she did get out of the car and she said, I would also like you to give me five stars. And I thought that was important because I worry about that too. As someone who's type A, Libra, I do get concerned about my Uber score. And I don't take Uber's very often or Lyfts or any of those. But when I do, I'm concerned that my rating will go down. And I think there's a, there used to be a place you could check it. I don't know if there still is, but I remember checking it once and I had a really good rating and that stuck with me. You know, when I got a good rating, it doesn't matter if it's my school grades or my credit score. I don't want that shit to go down. I'm on top of that. So I will, that will be in the back of my head until the day that I die, until the day that I pass and perish. I'll be thinking, I got to make sure my Uber score is up. Because once I know that I'm getting an A in something, then we can't slide. And I was like that in school too. If I was, now, if I went in and get in a C, then fine, nowhere to go but up. Once I get that A, it's like, I can't go backwards. It's just not, it's not who I am. It's not in my nature. And so I was appreciative of this representation on the show. Lindsay's saying, can I have five stars? Uh, Jesse arrives and it made me laugh because there's all those cardboard cutouts around and even though I hate Jesse, I like that he arrived and he's like, honey, I'm home. Any friends here? Just my cardboard friends. And then, uh, when Kyle also arrived with Ben, he said he had an excuse for why he drove with Ben. I don't understand. It's, and I thought the excuse, it wasn't it something you had to take his car in or something. I thought, no, I think it's actually because they're in a man to hate each other and they don't want to spend four hours alone in a car. They even awkwardly kissed. Feels like they were broken up pretending for the show. Right. Am I wrong? KJ feels, I also, by the way, that's not anything that I got any inside information about. I tried to, but I didn't get any insight. It's, I'm not implying that I learned anything doing, watching happens live with Kyle about that because I didn't, but it just in my gut, I feel like they were broken up. Uh, KJ said he invited Dara and she's staying over for the weekend, but she doesn't have a room because she wasn't supposed to be in the cast. And so that's another telltale sign that she was added late because KJ has to tell everyone in the group, like, Oh, Dara is coming to the party and then she's going to stay over. So what he's saying is like, she's not supposed to be in the cast, but he got approval by production. She signed the release. And so she's allowed to stay over for the weekend because they're dating, but she's not an official cast member. I think at this point she was not, I think she was slowly sort of added. Then we cut to Carl and Lindsay, Lindsay, you have a new haircut. And Carl's like, I just didn't put anything in it. And it was, I don't, I don't know why I loved it. Carl's like looks to me, they change so rapidly. Like I can't tell when he's gotten new chompers with the hair is different. Wait, cause, and the style seems to change all the time. Like sometimes I feel like Carl's showing up in like tight leather pants somewhere. And then other times he's wearing just like a, a crop boxy shirt. And I'm like, I can't keep up. And I don't know if it's cause he's like trying overly to be trendy or if it's, I don't know. Sometimes you try, you know, I watched what happens live. I was trying to be, I pulled this whole look together that I found the, that guy from that Paul Anthony Kelly, who was like a model and he was, he's the new JFK junior guy that I'm in love with. Anyway, I saw this look that he did for an interview and I was like, I'm going to try my best to, I didn't have the money for the stylist. So I'm like, I'm going to try my best to put this outfit together. And I just sort of kind of copied it my own way. But he was wearing white socks under these, under the jeans with love for a song. And I've seen a lot of other people do it. And so I was doing it. And then of course my mom, speaking of, he said, Dan, I don't know if I, I don't know how I felt about those white socks underneath. And then other people, I was getting fights with people online. So we're like, why is he wearing sports socks and a sport coat? And I was like, first of all, they're polo raffle around the socks. They were dress socks. They were white socks. Uh, and you know, I love a nice sock. Shout out to Bombas, sponsor on the show. We love their socks as well. But they were socks that they were in style. That was like a stylish thing to do. But then of course you got all these people chiming in with their opinions and, and sending the hate. And I just have to say, it was like, no, I was actually in style. So sometimes I'm looking at Carl's looks and I want to drag them, but then I'm like, wait, are they just the head of the style? Are they the style? And I'm not aware of it. But Carl's looks, I feel like sometimes lean a little too much. Like you still got to look like you. I think that's the big trick. You got to, you got to feel comfortable looking like you. And sometimes I'm looking at Carl's looks and like, what the fuck is this? But then I don't want to judge it too much because maybe, I don't know. Maybe he's like a fashion girly. I don't know. What do I know? Lindsay seems easy breezy though. And Carl's stressing and he tells KJ, he's feeling really anxious about seeing Lindsay and I like how much these men are talking about anxiety. I do feel good about that. Now Mia says that West is in love with Sierra. And I think she's right. Spot on. Lindsay says she would never ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, give Carl another shot. But Sierra doesn't feel that with West. I think she would give West another shot and it looks like she's maybe going to. Although I do not feel that they are at the right place in their lives to go forth with the relationship. I do think they're just not in the place. They're just not. They're two ships passing in the night and I think they're gonna continue flirting on screen on the show because deep down I do think they have a connection. It's just not it's timing. It's all about timing for the For the panacea drop drop drop and for you to go pop pop pop you gotta have the right time make it go pop pop pop Until my panties go drop drop drop. You gotta be at the right time to drop drop drop for the panacea pop pop pop You just You guys have to see if you if you've never seen that clip of Watch What Happens Live Please just go on tiktok and type in Lala James WWHL it's like the best The whole appearance is like the crazy they just swear the whole time and like Andy gets really pissed This is from years ago, but the best part is when they sing and I didn't pull the clip of James rapping But it's ridiculous. It's so fucking hilarious. It's very much Did you ever watch Parks and Recreation? It's like that one the brother and sister on that show Guys, it's so funny. It's so funny. Okay, so then West doesn't know if he should apologize Sierra about rubbing the back because he didn't remember anything now Dara we talked about Dara and she did date West so I have to just point out this something a little fishy I just would like to keep our eyes and ears on the fact that she was added late and she did date West and now She's dating KJ. I get a little I'm not saying that this is how she is So I I just want us to get our eyes and ears on it to just pay attention like because it could be a possibility of it Because I've watched too much too many Bravo shows I've seen too much reality TV. I've analyzed too much reality TV does not know how this works And so I'm a little slightly very slightly concerned I got my crystal ball out and I want us to all recognize that this is happening It's a little fishy that she's dated West didn't get on the show and then went to a party and started dating the guy that was already cast on the show Was it to get on the show? I don't know. I don't know But I would just like us to To keep our eyes and ears on that was Levi invited this weekend. I don't know I feel like every time I see Levi. I'm like who the fuck is that? Who the fuck Is that who the fuck did that? I never know when I see Levi I'm like, who is that because now I can't even remember if she was in this up. Was she and she wasn't in this episode She's like, where's fucking Waldo? It's like, where is she who is she? They do all go to dinner So they do at least get to film outside the house in a restaurant, which is nice They're all dressed a little they're just great But I something about Kyle wearing that scarf around the neck like Scooby-Doo like Fred and Scooby-Doo Like what the fuck was that like to do was that supposed to be a costume? He looked like was it a joke? You know I'm talking about that scarf that he tied around the neck It was like what is he doing? What's happening there with the scarf around the neck? Didn't it look like Fred from Scooby-Doo the ass-got? Think what was that not to say that I don't love a good scarf, you know, we love a nice scarf or bandana or It looked like a nice pattern But I didn't understand the look Anyway, they sit down and order shishitos I think Carl said get the system orders of shishitos and I'm noticing a lot the shishito peppers are popping up at a lot of restaurants these days and Ten years ago. I don't remember not one time ten years ago seeing shishito peppers on a menu and these days. They're very trendy It's like throughout my lifetime. I've seen certain trends come and go like we've had the there was like a big kale trend I remember when that push came and then even back going back to the 90s There was like a sun-dried tomato push that I recall Sun-dried tomatoes just became a thing. It's like everybody's doing the sun-dried tomatoes All of a sudden I never heard of a sun-dried tomato and then I'm ten years old and everybody's got sun-dried tomatoes on everything And I'm noticing that with the shishito peppers It's like go to I don't know a fucking applebee's and they got shishito peppers on the menu I'm like since when did they got shishito peppers on the menu and I love them. I love them They're actually probably my favorite food trend, but you used to only find them at different Specialty restaurants, but now they're showing up at all these like a Maricana restaurants the shishito peppers So anyway, they ordered them. I just have to point out that I love them. I do love them Matt makes them on the grill. I buy him from the from the Whole Foods and Matt makes them on the grill He makes this like sesame. I don't even know what the sauce is put some sesame seeds on it with this like sauce Oh Guys and then in the grill some so they got that nice char grilled. They're the best. They're good appetizer I'm okay. So then this is when Lindsay gets right to it She's like Carl. I have a question for you. You talked to Bailey this week. What's going on? You fuck her and that's where Lindsay's a star and Lindsay apparently told Bailey to fuck Carl But then also said he probably won't because you'll just have a great conversation That sort of is goes back to my thesis and I'm sure I've talked about this on the podcast before but The thing with the straight guys on Bravo, and I'm not just saying this about Carl But the thing with the straight guys on Bravo that I always feel Is that even the really attractive ones? I never get the sense that they can fuck you like I never or gosh That sounds so vulgar. I'm sorry to people listening. I didn't it sounds really Vulgar to say but I do sort of think that none of them can get it up. I Don't know I feel that way that's the kind of vibes I get from all the straight men on Bravo and Almost all of them. I'm trying to think of who in the past You know who could fuck I thought like Imreal remember him, but they got rid of them But he was one that it was like oh, yeah, okay And then he got out so much shit on the show for always bringing someone back Having sex with somebody on the show, but like all the other straight guys. I'm like, I don't know I feel like the sex would be bad. Am I wrong? Am I wrong like even the really hot ones like you can look at one of them be like oh, they're so hot Like I've never seen someone that attractive, but then you think about the sex and it's like ooh I don't know about that I don't know about that. Okay, so then Carl says that Lindsay said the sex was great at first But again, I just don't get good sex vibes. I just that's my opinion then we see We talk about kj and dara Jesse tells kj to go slow. You should just go slow because I dated someone named lexie last season and Just go slow. I learned my lesson when I was Having her suck on my toes last season God, I forgot about that when they should have flashback of lexie. I just I did sort of lose my breath for a minute Like destiny's child in the early 2000s. I lost my breath because I had forgotten about lexie and they showed her and I'm glad with the heavy lip liner Again, beautiful gale, but very heavy lip liner Very heavy lip liner. And remember she dated the berklin beckham. Oh you guys I went to this oscar party I was hosting the red carpet for the el and john oscar party and you know who was there was berklin beckham Now I didn't get an interview because he didn't even I don't even think you could say he walked the carpet. He like ran through the carpet. So he definitely did not do any press but I was thinking somebody was like uh, they tell you like oh this person's coming or that person's coming We might get a minute to interview this person And so you don't know into the last second sometimes Because they maybe don't rsvp or whatever And so there was word like oh, I think berklin beckham's here Berklin beckham's coming and so you have like 10 seconds to prepare And so you're thinking in your head I remember hearing that like oh berklin beckham's here and thinking what am I gonna ask him if I get like one question With them really quick because I was the first I was like first position on the carpet because I was working with the el and john aid foundation and people magazine And so I was first position. So basically like if anyone was coming we had kind of access to them, right? And I'm thinking what I get word that berklin beckham's coming So I think I was like interviewing somebody and then I heard Behind my back someone and someone in the air was like berklin beckham's here, you know So everyone's freaking out and I know he's in this big feud with his family So I'm thinking okay if I only have one question with them I'm gonna have to ask about the family, right? But then the Bravo lover in me is like, oh fuck like I'm also gonna need to ask about lexie Who only us care about like only But I'm like I need to get a comment on that Much like when I got patricia archette. I was patricia I was like I got to ask you about alson debauch and of course we talked about other things I asked her other questions. It wasn't like I just asked that I'm I'm not gonna be disrespectful But I was feeling her out and I'm thinking in the back of my head like I got to ask her about alson debauch from the real Icy Beverly Hills Because nobody ever asked her about that and so I did But with berklin beckham, I'm like, oh fuck. I got to ask about summer house Like did he watch summer house? I say he's an is he a summer house fan But then I knew the people people would get mad at me if I didn't ask about the feud with The rest of the beckham's What is going on with that feud? What is that about? It makes me sad. I don't like when the families are feuding Where was I talked about the shishitos the lexie flashback. Oh, this is when yeah, jesse was like go slow Go slow kj in the relationship with daro because I know and they showed this montage of lexie and jesse talking about jesse and sierra Because jesse still got the question And amanda says to the group like don't talk to the press Let's take a break here. Let's take a break here. I'm gonna We got to come back and talk about it was actually the scene at the end here I want to take a break now because I think this scene was actually a really phenomenal scene and then we also had the mid-season trailer So we're going to come right back find me on social media at danie pellic reno And then you can go to everything iconic dot store. We have merch available You get signed copies of my book which you can also get from your favorite local bookstore Or the library or amazon Or even they're opening more burns and nobles these days. Working at bookstores always a dream of mine after seeing you've got me on my all-time favorite movie I was like I have to work in a bookstore But back then those big chains were like the big bad wolf everybody hated borders and barns and noble because they were Putting the independent bookstores out of business and now We're all like begging for more of these big box stores of the barns and noble and borders I would love for barns and noble to continue having a resurgence because truly there's nothing more Peaceful still to this day. I go to the one I go to sometimes a burbank one or studio city one or The grove one here in los angeles. There's a few barns and nobles around And if i'm ever in one I go and write to the I look for my books and I sign them if I can I sign some at eaton in northeast ohio. I think they have some signed copies last time I was home in ohio I signed some so maybe if you go to the barns and noble there at eaton there might be one or two left But anyway, I will go and sign but I love just I my serotonin levels go up Everything gets relaxed my if I'm my asshole is clenched It's loosening up when I get the barns and nobles just emotionally Because there's something relaxing about going to a bookstore and sitting down in a chair going to the coffee shop getting a A nice latte or something and walking around just looking at books just looking at books and paying retail form I'll pay retail at a bookstore because I love it Anyway, I'm happy to see them popping up. Search Siri with an X. And we're back. There ain't nobody that don't feel anymore than you, boy. Okay, so they're all at dinner and we talked about Lexi and Jesse in that flashback that was happening. Now, West says he gets how Siri was mad about him talking to the press because he gets it now. And Siri was like, well, you should have known that beforehand. And Siri tells the table she gets a lot of racial blowback because everybody says online. She's like, oh, she's always dating the white guys publicly and people don't understand why she's always going after these guys. And it happened. Remember, she doesn't mention this on the show and perhaps it's because he's from a different franchise, but she talks about that with didn't she have a thing with Austin at one point? I mean, am I remembering was that Lindsay also had a thing with Austin, right? Didn't Sierra have a thing with Austin on one of the spin offs or something? I don't know. There's somewhere else. Did you guys watch Southern Charm? Did you see the, are we at the reunion time of Southern Charm? I liked the season of Southern Charm. I binged it. Again, I missed the first seven episodes, but I binged from starting at seven episodes seven. And I did like Austin this season, which I know is controversial. And by the way, if you ever see me in real life in person and just know that I will deny ever saying that I liked Austin, I just, I will deny it. I'm telling you here now this is private between us girlfriends at this moment. But in public, I will not accept it. I will not. I will be very, you know, I'm not going to accept it because I don't want other people to hear. I don't want other, this is between us. This is a safe space. And it's between us girlfriends. And I don't want to be in the grocery store and somebody's like, oh yeah, by the way, I remember you said you liked Austin. I'm going to say absolutely not. I remember that because what if the cashier hears? What if the cashier hears? She's not going to, she doesn't listen to this podcast. She doesn't get the context. So I don't want her thinking that. I don't want her thinking that. But anyway, Craig seems like a nightmare, a nightmare human being because here's the thing on Southern Trump, he was having that big blow up in the, in that Sprinter van or wherever the fuck they were. And everybody, he continues to have these outbursts. And so remember Ariana on Vanderpump rules. She had said with Jack's, she's like, this is who this person is. This isn't just like a one time occurrence. This is like, if you see the same behavior from someone, this is their, that's their personality. That's who they are. And with Craig, as much as I for years and all this time, he's very attractive and he could be very charming and all these things. But I've seen too many times where he's had these like petulant blow ups with people. And I think like, okay, it's now we're just, this seems, this is a pattern now. This isn't just like an outburst. I don't think we could just say this is a one time thing or he was just a temper tantrum. This was like, this is his normal temper. This is his normal personality. That's how I feel. Unfortunately, and I hope he gets it together, but it's like, it happens too many times. And to me, it's very clear just watching the show and watching it, knowing for watching the show for so long and watching all these other shows. It, it feels to me like he tries to hide that part of himself and present all the good parts, which is great. All of us would do that on camera. But it, the way that it sneaks out so many times that, that kind of temper tantrum situation just makes it clear to me that it's like, oh, in real life, it's probably even worse. Right. It probably happens even more because he's trying to temper it for the show and not do it as much for camera. And so in real life, he's probably doing more, right? That's how I feel. But don't come at me. I know Craig's got a lot of Craig stands and look, believe me, we change every five minutes. Sometimes I've loved Craig in the past. So it called him my Craigie. But after what he was doing in the van, I can't support that. I just can't do it. And I just feel if I see something that I got to say something. Okay. So then this conversation at the table on summer house again, Sierra's mentioned in the racial blowback that she gets. And this was so fascinating because we also see her crying in the professional. She says she sees how it looks to the entire world, but she's like, you can't help who you love or are attracted to. And I totally got that. You know, sometimes we've all fallen in love with the demons, right? How many times have you gotten a crush on somebody? And then you look back, you're like, that guy was such an asshole. Like what the fuck was I thinking? And or girl, whoever, like you, you look back on a person, you had a crush on your like that person was such a piece of shit, a piece of shit, a piece of shit. But you can't help it because in the moment you're just attracted to that person or you have like a chemistry with that person that you can't explain. And on these shows, even it's harder because they, I think they're not in control of the edit. They can't show, they can't show every little moment. So we just see sort of the highlight reel in these cast members are probably thinking, well, well, they didn't see the nice moment I had with these guys or the scale. And they only see the asshole moments. And so she was saying it, but there's like, when there's a racial element, it adds even more of an audience response. And then they have to deal with the audience response. And she said she was the first, what was she was the first black person out of this cast. And KJ even says he has seen his sister go through this. So he gets emotional. He sticks up for Sierra and says also with black men, they have to think 20 steps ahead. And he said there's this added pressure. And then it's a great conversation. Mia says her brothers also have the conversation that they have to consider not looking like a threat or not being looking angry or scary. And so it adds like a whole other element that they have to go through for the show. And Kyle was interesting. He says he can pop off with this temper and he could just be in the moment, think in the moment. If he's throwing a tantrum in the moment, he can do that. And he's not thinking about the audience. You know, the audience might respond like what an asshole or whatever, but he's not thinking 20 steps ahead. Like KJ said, he has to think and they all agree to support each other, not tear each other down. And I thought that was look, I want to say two things. First of all, beautiful moment. Great scene. I thought it was also a perfect way to sort of break that fourth wall. And they did it in a very compelling way. Also thought it was so beautiful and lovely and wonderful that they all want to support each other and say we got to not tear each other down. And I agree with that in real life. But the, and this is where I'm going to get controversial. I do think that it's okay for some of them to tear each other down sometimes. Specifically Jesse, I think, I think as they're sitting there and they're having this beautiful moment, supportive, supporting each other's livelihoods in life and saying, we need to not tear each other down. I'm thinking this is great. But sometimes if somebody's acting out of pocket like Jesse, who again is just sort of annoying me for, I'm not sure what reasons this season, but he's annoying me. And I'm thinking maybe it's okay if they, if they tear him down a little bit. Am I wrong? Just for a little drama for that. We need the drama for the show. And so yes, we want to support and we should support them in the audience response sometimes if they're tearing down Sierra for her crush on some man on the show. But also I think it's okay that we tear down Jesse sometimes and do I did. That's what my heart says. Now Lindsay says she wants to fuck Ben. Then the episode ends and we get the midseason trailer. We get Jesse and Mia. Are they, was that a thing Jesse and Mia flirting in the midseason trailer? A lot of costume work too. Maybe dare I say too many costumes. Now I love the end of the midseason trailer where they show all the gals and the old lady makeup just like the Golden Girls. And actually they look like Sophia and the Golden Girls. Because actually if you go back and watch the Golden Girls, you know, the other gals were young and vibrant. They were basically Kyle's age when they were, you know, Blanche was basically Kyle's age, I believe. Or maybe when the show started, I think she was probably Kyle's age. And Kyle and Carl, you know. And so watching back now, we can all see like Blanche, Rose and Dorothy, they were young, vibrant women actually. They might have had some, some Golden locks or some lighter locks. But they were still young and vibrant. Sophia, of course, they gave her old age makeup. And Sophia in real life was actually younger than Betty White. You guys know that, right? She's younger than I think some of them. But Sophia, they put in the old age makeup and she had her carry the purse and the thick glasses and all that stuff. And so they're dressed like Sophia in the Golden Girls, which by the way, Golden Girls is one of the greatest shows of all time. Just truly is. And if you've never watched the Golden Girls, this is actually my quick PSA. Watch the Golden Girls. I also want to tell everyone to watch the comeback, which is coming back for season three on HBO. If you never see, if you like reality TV and you've never seen the comeback, then you're doing the wrong. Because it's such a brilliant, it was nominated for a bunch of Emmys, but it's sort of like a cult classic show. And it's coming back for season three. And I did get a chance and they didn't pay me or anything, but I did get a chance to see screeners of the season. And so, and I hope I'm allowed to say this, but it's so, I'm only going to say like no spoilers, but it's so brilliant, so good. As it always has been, if you've never seen the first two seasons, go back and watch them. But I'm going to try to get one of the producers, Dan Bukitensky, on the podcast. He's also on the show. He plays the Billy, the publicist and he's done a million other things, but it is my favorite show of all time and the new season is brilliant. So I think it comes out either this week or next. It comes out very soon, but please watch it because it's such a hilarious takedown of the industry and the first season is a great takedown of reality TV. And it was very much ahead of its time, but anyway, what were we saying? Oh, the midseason trailer. So yeah, they're dressed like the old lady costumes. And that was the only costume work I liked in the midseason trailer. The other costumes, I'm like, okay, maybe we need to stop with the costumes. Then what else happens? We have Dara and Ben perhaps hooking up West in Sierra. It looks like West fucks up again with Sierra. Amanda mentions her separating. Now I have mentioned on the podcast before I've said this a million times, but I just want to say it again. So we all know that's on audio record. I do think that happened. I think the old lady scene is going to be at the end of the season. And my take is like, it's going to lead into much how Vanderpump rules are led into summer house or real houses of Beverly Hills that led into Vanderpump rules. We're getting the summer house spin off show. It's called in the city and I'm would bet my bottom dollar. And again, I've said this before, but I think it's going to lead right into. So I think we're going to end on summer house and we'll probably see them and it's going to transition sort of flawlessly. We see them drive in from the summer house and they go right into the city and it's like, bam, new, new show starting. That's what's going to happen. But I think the old lady costume, I feel like it'll be like the last episode or something. That's my, that's what it feels like. Oh, guess what? We also get an appearance from Danielle. It was a quick little moment in that trailer, but we saw Danielle and a little shiver ran up my spine, a little shiver. She's apparently back for one of the parties back for one of the party, not the spin off, just a quick party. And maybe they'll edit her out. I don't know who's to say, but to be honest with you, I hate to stick up for Danielle at the moment, but I do think Danielle brought more to the show than Levi. So what's the, what's the truth? What's the truth? Oh, there's also this thing in the midseason trailer about Ben saying he wanted to fuck Amanda in Italy or no, Amanda says, oh, yeah, he wanted to fuck me in Italy. And I think that she's alluding to, but maybe this is a misdirective, the trailer. They're trying to make us believe that this is happening, but it seemed like, I mean, I was saying, yeah, Ben wanted to fuck me in Italy. And I thought, oh, is that true? I need to know. And then, oh, Carl and Kyle fight. That's going to be interesting. I guess it's about, was it about like who not investing in the soft bar, which I, I'm sorry to say, I'm in Kyle's side about that. I don't think he should have invested in soft bar. Not only does he have the money troubles, but like you shouldn't, I don't think you should get in business with friends, but Carl's like, no, Carl's seeing. I don't know. Carl's seeing that it cause making all this money from the DJ gig and he invested in Leverboy. So he's like, why didn't Kyle invest in my company? But it's like, why would he? I don't know. I don't think that he should have. You just, just because somebody does, you don't just owe someone $20,000. You just, it's not, I'm sorry. If you want to do it, it's fine. But Carl, it wasn't like he was, he needed the money to live or something. He just needed to open up this business that maybe Kyle didn't believe in. I don't know. But it seems like it's doing well. That's the end of the episode. Thank you all so much for listening. I love you. I hope everybody goes drop, drop, drop with your panties. Make it go, pop, pop, pop until my panties go. Drop, drop, drop. I hope that's the case for everybody. I love you all so much for listening and we'll be back next week. As everyone watching, what other shows do we got going on? Southern hospitality. There's a lot going on in Southern hospitality. I'm loving, there was one moment last week where Maddie said something about making a PowerPoint presentation about her relationship with some of the other cast members. It was just a beautiful moment. So I just want to shout that out. And they're fighting about like cardboard cutouts on that show. Southern hospitality is so good. I don't know if I'm selling it well. The other thing that I'm hearing is great is Ladies of London, which I have not watched yet. And when I was at Watch What Happens Live, they were like filming another one and they had some of the Ladies of London cast members were there. They were like surprising people. You know how Andy sometimes does that like doorbell thing. So they were filming that and I was so disappointed myself because I didn't know the new Ladies of London people and I've only heard really good things about it. I've only heard great things and yet I need to watch it because I think for like three episodes in. So I mean one of these days I'm going to binge. You know what's hard? I had planned to binge it on a plane when I was traveling and unfortunately I did not do that. I just ended up like staring at my phone for six hours or whatever it was. But I am going to watch it soon. I'm going to binge it because I'm hearing it's worth it. And not in a worth it way like you know how when people lie to you and say like, oh yeah, the new Vanderpump rules is good. Like it's not in that kind of way. It's like in a way like, oh, it's actually good. It's in that kind of way. Like even people behind this seems like, no, this one's actually good. Not like in a way where they're trying to sell you that it's good. It's like, oh, this one's actually good. So I'm going to watch it. I'm planning on it. Anyway, thank you all so much for listening. Have a great week and we'll be back next week. I'm going to, oh, by the way, I mentioned I'm going to try to do another great mugs episode. And we're going to, we have a couple of guests. We're going to try to get on the show. So we're going to try to do a great mugs episode in addition to our Bravo summerhouse recap. But I'm trying to get to that. Things have been a little hectic now. Anyway, I love you all so much. And I appreciate all the support and the kind words from the Oscar red carpet that I did with the Elton John Foundation, which is fantastic foundation. They're doing so much fantastic work for AIDS research and they've really raised so much money in the, it's a really, really great organization. So if you're not familiar with the Elton John AIDS Foundation, they do a lot of really great work, but I want to thank them for having me, but also thank you all for the kind words and support. I've got so many messages. And, you know, over last year, I kind of took a step back from a lot of, of course, I was still writing and I have some other projects in the works, but I took a little bit of a step back. And so I was sort of saying no to certain things because I had the baby on the way and I was just wanting to focus on that nest. And so I'm slowly starting to get back into the world and do some of other work projects and stuff. And when you do something like that, you're like, I hope people are supportive and you want to do a really good job. And those red carpets are really hard to do because like I said, they happen really fast and you don't always necessarily know who you're going to get to talk to or have much time to prepare. And you can go in there preparing as best you can, but there are so many different directives. Like for something like that, there's people, you have to talk about the foundation and the charity, but then you also, it's Oscar nights. You want to talk movies, but then also you, there's a little bit of a pressure. People want stuff that can go for social media that you can put in a quick soundbite that people can share. And so there's like a lot of different things you're trying to aim for as well as showcase your personality, but not make it about you. You want to make it about the person you're talking to. And so there's so many moving parts to those things. And that's why red carpet stuff is really almost like a no-win situation because you're always going to piss off someone. They're going to say, you didn't ask about this thing or you should have asked about that. You should talk about this, not that or this was impolite, but you're just seeing little clips and it's moving so quickly. So it is really like a challenge, but also I kind of find it a fun challenge. I think it's like a fun kind of balancing act, but everyone is so supportive about all the clips that went out and people magazine was great to work with and see them with the foundation. They'll John foundation and anyway, I love you all so much for listening. Thank you. Bye. The crowd is loving this. Thanks guys. Thank you to kind from morning chaos to match day commentary and everything in between. BBC sounds packed with personality. It's all in front of you. There's no turning back. No, no, it's only up to you.
