Hosts Amy and Deanna Chang discuss recent Bravo reality TV drama across Summer House, The Valley, and other franchises, analyzing relationship scandals, business impacts, and cast dynamics. Key storylines include the "West Side Story" scandal involving Amanda and West, Kyle's Loverboy business surge amid personal turmoil, and relationship red flags in The Valley with Brittany and Zach.
Insights
- Scandal and controversy can paradoxically boost business performance through increased media attention and consumer engagement, as evidenced by Loverboy's sales surge during the Amanda-West affair
- Reality TV participants face asymmetrical consequences for the same behavior based on gender, with male cast members experiencing fewer social repercussions than female counterparts for identical actions
- Rebound relationships that mirror previous failed partnerships often repeat the same dysfunctional patterns rather than representing genuine growth or change
- Postpartum relationship strain requires nuanced support rather than pressure, with therapist advice needing context-specific application rather than blanket recommendations
- Reality TV editing and narrative framing significantly shape public perception of cast members' culpability and victimhood in relationship conflicts
Trends
Reality TV scandal monetization: Increased brand partnerships and product sales during peak drama cyclesGender-based narrative framing in reality television: Differential treatment of male vs. female cast members in similar situationsRebound relationship patterns: Tendency to seek familiar relationship dynamics rather than addressing underlying issuesPostpartum mental health visibility: Increased on-screen discussion of postpartum depression, isolation, and relationship strainReality TV cast member diversification: Introduction of new cast members to refresh narratives and dynamicsCelebrity endorsement strategy: Leveraging personal drama for brand partnerships and sponsored contentReunion seating chart strategy: Deliberate placement decisions to maximize on-air conflict and engagementTherapy and self-help integration: Cast members using therapy language and frameworks for on-air conflict resolution

Hello, welcome back in. It is Drama Darling, Extraordinaire. We're looking at a Thursday. We've got a lot of shows on the docket this week, so I'm just trying to keep on keeping on and keeping up because, you know, we've got Rhode Island that happened earlier this week. We have the Valley that premiered. We have Atlanta that premiered. And now we're looking at Summer House and the Valley today. So we're going to do some broad strokes about Summer House and then we're going to dig into the Valley. And Deanna Chang is here. Hi. God, it feels great to be here, Amy. Thank you. I always love seeing you. Love seeing your face. I love being here. Gosh. And you're only seeing my face. Yeah. Well, you know, over here on Patreon, the tier two level, the drama mommas and papas, you're seeing an experimental angle here. We've got, this is more of a landscape look. Landscape look. Landscape look. Deanna's eating it up. And so this is experimental for today. We'll see how this goes. And there are reasons behind it. And there are. So first of all, everyone, calm down. I see your panties getting right in a bunch. Now release them because it's sometimes nice to just see a floating head. You know, I feel, I feel good like this, you know, in these times just having my head around. Yeah. Just having a head. It's like Max Hedrum from back in the day. For those of you who were, m-m-m-max Hedrum. That's a throwback 80s. That's the deep, deep cut. That was back in the days when such, so little was going on truly that we could get involved with Max Hedrum for quite some time. Right. He was a staple on MTV. Well, didn't do all that much, but made his presence felt. Certainly. Certainly. And left a mark so much as that we would drop that name right here. What a different time it is. 2026, a Max Hedrum drop. Please note it. Jot it down in your journals. Yeah. I don't know who will appreciate it and who will just be frankly disgusted. Disgusting. I think a lot of our audience will be like, Oh yeah, I remember that. Yeah. Welcome in. Thank you. Okay. First of all, just getting us a little up to speed on the, the basically the West gate, the West side story, the summer bummer house, the, you know, basically all the names over on Patreon we voted. We ended up with West side story as the name of our scandal and I like it. Love it. Because you were so brilliant. They were, I love everybody like really put their best foot forward. Thank you to the darlings who, you know, popped in with their ideas. They were also creative. I loved that list. I was poring over it. I was just enjoying it. I was tickled and delighted. West side story it is. So basically I want to just breeze through some of the updates, you know, Sierra Miller was on the red carpet with Sydney Sweeney who's promoting the new season of euphoria and she was like, what happens when your, your friend gets with your acts? You know, what do you do? And basically Sydney was just up in arms and seemed very upset about it. It seemed like she knew what was going on, but I'm not a hundred percent sure. But Sierra said, Sierra actually didn't even let her answer to be quite honest. I was like, you want to let her answer? I mean, this is what the red carpet's for, but she just, she really steamrolled right over her and just said, I think they should get married and then looked right at the camera deadpan, which was very funny. But I was also like, I kind of want to hear what Sydney had to say. And she just sort of agreed with that. Well, Amy, you know, I have a friend situation that is the exact same thing that happened to West Amanda and Oh Lord, don't you? Are you kidding me? That's awful. I do. And guess what? It's my two, like, of my best friends from college. Oh, there we actually, to be fair, we became like really, really close when we all moved out to LA right after college. We all say right in the same, like Melrose plays type. Oh, yeah. Okay. So you're thriving, you're surviving, you're growing, you're experimenting, activating all of it. We're in active activation at all times. And my friend was married to our other friend from college. They ended up getting divorced. But then our other best friend hooked up with him, swooped in, swooped in. And it was a disaster for my other friend, of course. It was a disaster for me because I was stuck in the middle. Oh, Diana. I ultimately ended up just kind of going with my, my friend. Yeah. And leaving the couple, but they did get married and they're two kids in 10 years plus. So I was like, Sierra's not wrong. Like if you're going to blow it up like that, you're right, you better commit hard. But we all know that's absolutely not going to happen. There's no way. I fully believe that that's absolutely true. But you know, here we have West Wilson. The sightings have been him just like tanning in the sun at sporting events, round town. And every time you see him, he's with a gal, a new, a different gal, you know, in tow, doesn't seem to be paying any mind to the scandal, to the West's side story. Amanda was seen out with Kyle. I think they were like with dogs, exchanging dogs, something like that. She, you know, in out back into the apartment. We've not heard much more out of her. We have West is traveling. We're seeing him in like airports, you know, flying from LA to New York. I feel I've seen him mostly in airports. You know, like, which you're going to be seeing. That's probably the last place you want to be when you try when you're trying to lay low. But I guess he has some things he has to, you know, well, he's not going to be stopped by this. Yeah, he's not going to be stopped by a scandal. And the good thing about the patriarchy is that it will allow him to move about the cabin pretty freely as opposed to Amanda or any girl. You're going to have the scarlet letter on her. Yeah, it's going to be security, you know, security is going to slap a scarlet letter on her. Security tackles her to the ground. Yeah, she's not holding any arms. So, yeah, they're like, man, we need to check you. It's like, why that's not random. You know, you know why you're checking me. Security's like, I can't believe what you did to your friend. Like low whisper. Are you kidding? You troll up. Yeah. And he West has posted on social media, just like, what's up, you know, just the most casual, you can imagine, Carl's a mess, which has been the latest meme or GIF. Well, not GIF yet, I'm sure it's going to exist. But the latest phrase that everyone's embracing, because when Kyle was doing his man on the street interviews, a series, if you will, a series of interviews, you know, meet me on the street with my dogs, I'll give you a clip. And he was like through speaking about the incident, he was like, everything's, you know, it's terrible, Carl's a mess. And it was a throwaway comment, but everyone really latched onto it. And swag has come out. Lover boy swag has come out Carl's a mess. Carl was reunited in a campaign with Uber eats with Lindsay in her apartment. They got back together to do a campaign, little ad on social media, specifically saying like, I'm okay, I'm not a mess Uber eats. And they're banking on it. That's this is, you know, this is one, send it to Darryl. This is like the version of send it to Darryl Carl's a mess. It's so is. And you know, seeing Lindsay's apartment and that review, you know, that reveal, I'm like, well, these commercials she's doing are bringing home the bacon absolute. She's in this gorgeous, gorgeous home. Yeah. Good for you, honey. I see you with your little bobbleheads in these commercials and you're Uber eats and you're this and you're that. You're bringing that money in and we are, we are living our dream, you know, absolutely. Meanwhile, we have the premiere, not premiere, we have the trailer to in the city that has dropped. How is it? I didn't see it yet. Well, looks look looks great. Looks great. And there's a lot of cast members. There's a lot of people we don't know looks really interesting. But it's crazy because, you know, we're going to see Kyle and Amanda, Amanda on this show. And so that's coming out in May and Kyle on his in his man on the street interviews is like, you're going to see more about what happens there. And so that's all like folding in on itself. Kyle took to social media. He is lit up. He's never looked better. And here's why because his company, he said he literally got online yesterday and was like, you guys, thank you so much on the bottom of my heart. Thank you for the scandal, making a scandal great for me. No, he didn't actually say that, but he did say it's because of you guys that we're doing well. Like this company is doing well because you guys are supporting it. He's had an influx of business. He is promoting his THC drink. He is thanking everybody for buying the swag. I think that he's on the up and up. And hopefully maybe he'll be able to pay that two mil back. You know, it's like, this is why it's hard when we get fed a scandal. It's really hard to not be, to not think that it's a lie because I couldn't connect the dots as to how Loverboy was going to soar through Amanda and West hooking up. Like it just, I wouldn't know that that could happen. No, me either. Because you're not like, no one's particularly feeling bad for Kyle. So why is Loverboy doing so well? Well, because all press is good press at the end of the day. It does seem also they have this other show. So you're going like, God, you know, I do believe it obviously, obviously, but it's hard when all these other things get such a bump. Yeah. And I think even though Kyle, we all know what he's done in the past and he is somewhat of a victim here. And so that's where you're kind of like, in my eyes, he's not, I mean, he fully, he's the one you probably provoked Amanda running into the arms of another man fully. Look, she has a choice why she had to choose West is, is beyond me. She made the wrong one. But she did. She did. But I think that we all know what the reality is with his responsibility in their marriage and what a shit husband he's been. So, you know, but in the eyes of so many other people, he is being looked at as a victim in this situation. And you think so. Yeah, I do. Yeah. I guess. Yeah. In my head, I guess also because he seems to be just concerned about her based on what we've seen in his socials. Right. He doesn't seem eaten up by it. No, he's out with another gal. You know, he's out having a good time. Yeah. Counting his money. Emotionally. He's like, yeah. So like, screwed Mcduck, just like jumping in coins or something. That's how I see him. I mean, you know, and to cut to this recent episode of Summer House, he really does have a victim mentality to him when Carl confronts him about not reaching out to him on the anniversary of his brother's death. Kyle immediately, I could see what was happening in his mind. I can't do anything for anybody. I can't do anything. Man, that was not happening. I mean, Carl's not happening to me. You know, it's like he, he's saying to himself, and he says it out loud, I'm not a good CEO. I'm not a good husband. I'm not a good friend. I can't do anything right. What else can I do? Be a good friend, be a good husband and be a good CEO. How about that? How about you look inward and say, these are three things that actually are looking at me. So how about instead of pushing out and blaming other people and saying like, oh geez, I can't do everything and oh, everyone's mad at me. How about you start looking inward? And also, you know what? Go ahead and activate, we all have it, the calendar app. Put a yearly reminder down. Have it repeat yearly because that's what I do. You know, activate the calendar. Yeah. Pop it open. Thank you. Thank you. Go into the settings of the individual event item. Yes. And set it as a reminder, not weekly. That won't work. It won't. Not bi-weekly, but go ahead and set that to yearly and it's going to be there for you. Thank you. Welcome in. Welcome into a calendar app. Set it up, set it and forget it. Forget it. I mean, he just is like looking around. And then when he says to Carl, well, you never invite me out anymore. I'm like, are you, this is your response? This is wrong, buddy. You are so wrong. And I just felt so bad for Carl. I really did. Well, because listen, I, you know, as we probably know by this point, I've lost both my parents and many years have gone by at this point and people are, there's so few people who are going to remember who, you know, really only like on one hand that are going to know those dates, right? Yeah. For me. Yeah. Right. But that, so I can see how someone messes that up. But let me put that over to the side. Okay. What I don't like is that when someone brings that to you as a pain point. Okay. Now you're talking that he couldn't just take the bullet. Yeah. And repair and understand that the fact that's important to you that I recognize it special because I'm special to you. Yeah. And I'm going to fix it. Yeah. And I'm going to open the calendar app. Stop killing me with this calendar app. That's what I'm going to do. And set it for an alert while you're at it. Put an alert on. Get it? In fact, I don't know how he works. I don't know what his work flow is. If it helps, I'm sure it helps. I'm sure he'll tell you. Yeah. But listen, the day before, I don't know if that's going to work for you, buddy, but that could start to get your wheels rolling. Then you set it for 9am on the event. So that you're ahead of it. You're going to be one of the first ones getting it in. Not to mention one of the first to mention. So there are ways. There are actual hacks to be a good friend. And I know from you, you are a good friend. And I know that you're good with a greeting card because we've talked about this before. And I got to tell you Costco in Santa Clarita still doesn't have those gosh darn cards. Every single time I go to Costco, I'm going to Costco. I look for the greeting card box that you are telling me about. And up here in Santa Clarita, I don't know if you guys are familiar with Santa Clarita. They never have it. And I did look online. Okay. And they do have it online. But I haven't pulled the trigger yet because I just keep thinking it'll show up. I keep thinking it'll show up at around the holidays. No, it'll show up around Labor Day. You know, I don't know. But now I'm going to have to just get it online or I'm going to have to come on down to your Costco. Or now that you've really got me oriented around what is and what is not at your Costco, I can also keep my, you know, I got three boxes. I'm in three active rotations here because I have quite a few. So I'm no longer looking for those at Costco at this time just because I'm so set. I'm so set. You're bragging. It's hurting. Hurting my heart is like, how can I not get these greeting cards? These gorgeous, gorgeous Costco greeting cards. People's mouths are a gape when they get one of these cards because they're so beautiful. They're the ones that you get at the right date that are running a six to seven bucks per. Okay. Per. You're like Stacy. You're like Stacy from Potomac right now. No, keep talking. I'm loving this so much. So I can also put this, make myself a mental alert, put a timer on it. And when I go to Costco next, say to myself, Deanna, go get Amy a box. Don't open it up. And the next time you see her, now that's going to be the hard part. No, that's hard. That's hard. That's hard. Because I'm going to be wanting something. Maybe I've used up, but I'll just pace myself. Well, let me, I see you that, let me raise you this. Open it up. And then what you can do is, you know how people trade baseball cards and stuff? Why don't you put, why don't you assemble, take the ones that you don't have, take the ones you don't have, pop up your collection and I don't have any. So you can throw any my way. Just listen, you know what I'm saying? No, I want you to have what, I want you to have what is, because what is, is the way. Okay. You're going to have a nice full collection as the good Lord intended. We have got to, we have to move on. I swear, we could probably talk about this for 10 more minutes and I have to stop myself because we are against a clock. Great. So we'll, we'll close up that. But getting back to the Carl and Kyle thing, I was very disappointed in Kyle's response and it, because it left me feeling really heartbroken for Carl. He was very upset and I liked that his friends at the summer house were saying like, I don't think that Kyle has any idea how upset you are. And the fact that you should pull him aside, I appreciated that. Talked to him, Kyle certainly had Lindsay. He has a fear. There's a difference there. He acts out of fear when it comes to certain things. That's why he posted for Lindsay and he's like, you know how she is. If you don't post, you're just as good as dead. Like he doesn't want to hear it from her. He knows the consequences and he thought maybe Carl would understand that and I'm thinking that couldn't have backfired worse. Cause I'm like, yeah. And just as much as that would upset her, it's even worse that you didn't say anything to Carl. Do you see what he's saying? He's saying like this does hurt him. Well, I mean, to even have West sit him down, sit Kyle down and kind of get him organized around like something's coming for you. And when he said, when Kyle said that he was like doing laundry, West was like, okay, don't bring up laundry. Like, when you know, I was like, yes, do not like whatever you do, please don't bring up that laundry kept you between a dead brother. You know what I mean? We can't have that. That is not, you know, so Kyle would excuse us. It's like, you don't have the no excuse that all makes sense. And I did appreciate Kyle frankly saying to Carl, I flaked because I relate with that a lot, you know, I simply flaked. And that's that is the freaking facts. There's nothing else to it. So that's good enough. Now I'd like to hear an apology and I'd like to hear a more sincere apology in that moment. Now, I'm looking forward to hearing what Carl has to say next week, because he's going to say something like in the preview, it said in the preview, he said, if I had a bottle of rose and Coke, I would have been able to tell Kyle exactly how I felt. And he's working on being able to be confrontational with Kyle for the longest time, Deanna, during the Lindsay situation when they were like working towards the outs. And they were on the like the the walkway deck in the Hamptons, that little walkway path, the beach path, and they're fighting and stuff. And she's like, oh, you have a temper car, alla. And I was like, you know what, I was thinking there's a dark, darkness to Carl that he's got a lot of anger and maybe he has it and he's taken it out on Lindsay and we haven't seen that side of him. But now I don't actually think it's that way. I don't. I actually don't. I hear you. It's, you know, sometimes when you're that afraid of your emotion, which is what it sounds like, he is, you know, yeah, he really, because I would think you wouldn't need Rose and Coke to have that conversation. Like, you know what I mean? So for him to feel that way, right? He just is he doesn't he has probably not brought up with the runway for emotions or whatever happened there. It's scary to him. So he when they're out, they're out and they're out big like with Lindsay. Is that what you mean? Like when they were? Yes. And now he's got to find that medium. Right. Yeah. And I mean, sure, liquid courage, you know, people can have it. But yeah, it was wild to see him kind of hurt. And it just made me sad for him. But I know he's doing well. I just saw him on a peloton video. I'm sorry, a peloton video peloton. I'm peloton. Yeah, he was over there on a peloton video. And he was just seeing how great he was doing. I just saw him running on that peloton. I said, Carl, you're looking, you're not a mess at all. You're great. But he's like, I feel healthy. I feel good. I mean, he really is living his best life right now. And it's really, really wonderful to see. Losing weight is one thing. But keeping it off, that's where it gets really frustrating. I mean, you missed an opportunity to just go so hard into the golf attire and look so handtoms cute and I was just so bummed about that. But whatever, Ben pulling Amanda aside and talking about how she said at the end of the night to Sabrina, everybody thinks that Ben's in love with me. It's crazy. Wow. I mean, Sabrina was unhinged. Wow. Yeah. She was a piece of work. I think she had a few before she got to the party. Like I could see, I, there was something about it where I was like, ooh, that would be, I could feel myself in that. Like if I, if I was uncomfortable and I had a few glasses of wine and then I was just overdoing it, you know, I don't know. Right. But it was cringey. You know, it was, it was very cringey, but yeah, that is nasty work. I actually can't even get my head around saying that to someone person who they're bringing around as their person that everyone, I mean, what? Yeah. And I actually thought, I'm surprised that Amanda said that it doesn't even seem like her to say that, but we don't know her. That's the, the, I think and here in lies, it does seem like her now that we know. I guess. Yeah. And then we've got these Reddit threads that I'm seeing all these things online where it's like Paige said that Amanda did a few weird things like with Craig and cross boundaries with Craig during that time and allegedly. Well, I mean, we saw some clips people, you know, people have hit the pause button and the slow and the rewind and the zoom in and like, I think in that environment in a summer house, you are super, I could touch you feel you with your friends and it's, it is that vibe. Yeah. Right. That said, it did look like she was kind of holding his hand at some point at the table and right. There were things that just seemed a bit much. Right. Right. A little odd. You know, I need the way I need. I mean, I've now watched, rewatched via clips that seen from Paige at the reunion where she takes West down and the way I want her at this reunion Amy, they could pay her like almost like Samantha and just like that where they paid her like a million dollars to come on and just sit in a car and say two lines. I kind of want that for Paige. I want her to be paid very well and to come in and to unpack Amanda and West. Okay. I boy would I love that. By the way, the seating chart for summer house came out today for the reunion and guys, Amanda and Sierra next to Andy. Now, get it again. Amanda is sitting next to West. West is sitting next to Amanda. Kyle is not sitting next to Amanda. He's on the other side of the couch next to Sierra. And then we have Lindsay, Lindsay and then Mia and then Dara comes in. I think at some point she's down there. Right. Yep. So on the other side it's Amanda West. Is it Carl? No, it's Jesse, Carl, Ben and I don't know who this girl is at the bottom. Is it Bailey or is it Bailey or brown hair? Couldn't tell you. Levi? Simply don't know. Simply don't know. I do not know her. Oh no, she's the new Trap Hop of summer house. I have not received her. Okay. For better or worse. I mean, I was worried that like Sierra wouldn't show up for the reunion that Amanda wouldn't show up for the reunion. I can't even believe that either one of them are going to go. I mean, I actually can't even imagine facing this being either one of them. I can't believe it. Well, you think back to Scandaval, Rachel and I can't believe they did too. I can't believe it. I know you can't believe it, but there's money behind it. They ain't going to get the check if they don't show up. They hold that check, that reunion check and Sierra's got a house to pay for and Amanda, right, you know, has bikinis to sell. So they got to show up. Well, yeah, Amanda, this might be her last opportunity because I can't see her going on like house of villains and that's where they'd put her. That's dark. It is. It's that it's the truth. Oh, Amy, my stomach just dropped. I know. That's where we're at. Yes. Wow. Well, unless she does, she's gonna, I think she's got to get out of this business. I don't know if she could handle, she doesn't seem like the kind of reality star that would embrace that. She's not like a Tom Sandoval. She's not like revealed. Because I think, listen, some PR person has come out. I mean, I know we just did the roundup of where they're at, but most recently, I think was like yesterday, the day before somebody dropped and listen, who knows if this is true or this is not true, but something came out was like, update on Amanda and West, they're doing great. They are not bothered. Amanda's cool as a cucumber. And I don't believe it. Well, I don't either, but that is what came out. So either this is just a PR team. But look at Rachel, Raquel, Rachel, she's not, she's nowhere to be found. Well, she's somewhere. She's out there. She's doing sound baths on bowls. So that's where I see Amanda. She's not going to be leaning into these reality shows like Tom did. She doesn't have that personality. It's, yes, it's interesting. This, because Amanda, huh, is not, she's not as sorry to say it, but she's not dumb like Rachel. Sorry. Yeah. No, I hear you. Yes, I agree. You know, it's like Rachel was swooped into a tsunami of just chaos. Yes. That's a great point. Great point. Amanda is a more of a center that said, I think we're going to, listen, this is going to be a must see reunion, the likes of which, and I have a feeling we are going to see a new color on her. And I just don't know what that is. Yeah. Okay. I like that. I like it. I'd like to see it. I'd like to see the rebirth. I'd like to see the, I'd like to see you're on a peloton, you know, running on a peloton and saying, you know, I'm a Phoenix that has risen from the ashes. I see the light. I can't believe what I did. And I'm doing, uh, I'm going to be over at the community center doing some workshops on friendship, what to do and what not to do, you know, and, and love, how to handle it and how to not to. So I mean, let's go. All right. Do we think she's going to just walk in an issue on bended knee and apology to Sierra? Like what do you imagine? Absolutely. There's going to be an apology. Absolutely. And she's going to, her whole thing is I was in a horrible marriage and I was lost and we were close because of the surroundings. It's nothing new. Just like you said, your friend, I mean, this happens a lot when you're around people. But it does shake foundations. It's like, it happens when people can't get a hold of themselves. Like, you know, it probably happens more often and people don't act on it. They just know better to not do that. And they just bury those feelings or emotions and they're like, okay, I'm going to focus on my, you know, and that's what, that's what you do. Well, the friend who ended up marrying the other friends and I don't, I haven't spoken to either of them. And for, I mean, really in a decade, um, they, she asked me to be in the wedding party. Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. And I, this is where I still trying to figure out how to keep all of the friendships. Yeah. I said, no, I'm like, I'm annoyed that you asked me. How dare you? Yeah. Wow. That person really, really was out to lunch. Like, fuck you. Why did you ask me? You know, why'd you put me in that position to ask me? I'm coming, but like that was, yeah, you know what I mean? I was so upset that she did that. Wow. Yeah. I mean, yeah, I mean, you'd have to like buy a bridesmaid's dress and everything and like support that. I mean, that's just, you know, like what do you go to a bachelorette party? Like, that's insane. And her crew, you know, looked at me sideways the whole wedding, her tight team. Why? Because they thought I, I mean, what, were they getting into the week? But I'm just back in it, you know, because like this is a, well, that's bullshit. You showed up and you didn't have to, but because, you know, people are, but, and I will say this, do I think that these two that ended up married together are more suited for each other than my other friend in the ex? I do. And I feel similarly to West and Amanda. I think they're more suited for her. I think Sierra's too good for him and that he can't match her. And so it, and he doesn't want to elevate. So he would never be able to really make that work. Yeah. Where I don't think Amanda's too good for him. Interesting. I think they're more equal. Well, now I don't. Well, now I don't. Yeah. Before I might have, but yeah, you know, and then there's another aspect in a angle that I see here that I could be off, but it's like West is like the new Kyle, you know, he's childish. He's like the fun guy in the house. I mean, think back to how Kyle was. I mean, that's what Amanda loved about him. But Kyle aged out of that or I'm sorry, he didn't age out of it. He actually didn't age out of it. He stayed in that and it rotted. So it didn't like evolve. Right. And so now we've got this fresh fruit of West who is that guy. Don't call him fresh fruit. I want to talk about, I want to let pivot into the valley because yeah, when you said that it's very similar to what Britney is doing, right? It's like a similar interesting instead of taking a beat. Yeah. And resetting. Yeah. Regrouping. You're ending up with a familiar another version and a familiar sense of what you already had that was bad or that turned bad. Yeah, it's exact. It's like something about that. It should be transitional. If you do that, it should be a hookup. You shouldn't lock it in. You know, and this has tentacles. I mean, this is deep. It's like, see, I understand going back to your roots that I do get. I mean, you know, a lot of people who have second marriages usually, you know, there, there was like a wave of people that found their high school sweetheart or people that they went to high school with on Facebook. And it's like, let's get together. Oh yeah, we're still in love. We have that because you have that bond. So I do understand the comfort of that. I mean, especially when you're in, you're on a TV show, all your baggage is out there. You want to be with somebody that understands you and you can trust them. So that really does make sense to me. However, Zach over here, oh my God, he is just all over her, which I appreciate. And he's calling out these red flags. I mean, we didn't know. I mean, he's got three kids and different mothers of the kids and drama with all of them. And so Brittany is just blind. She's just blind. She's choosing to be blind. I'm annoyed with her right now. I am. I'm sorry. I mean, too, you know, your hat clearly like you can see that she's having good sex. God bless. You know, nobody is trying to deny you that, Brittany. We want you to get your rocks off, please. Sure. That said, it's just, I just, I was so with Zach and we needed, we needed to know, because I wasn't aware that he had bad relationships and with these additional baby mamas. It's a problem. It is. And in Brittany's excuse or what she's telling herself is like, well, nobody's like Jesus, but it is Jake's is well, it's not a competition. And you don't even want to get close. You can't have your standard be. It's not as by these takes like you're going to be Upshits Creek within a second and you already are. And this is not a proper rebound. It's got connections, like deeper connections that are going to, and there's kids involved. And I don't like that. But you know, what it also made me think of when we were pivoting out of summer house is that when you were like, Oh, my friends, the two that ended up getting together, they seem more suited for each other. How about Jesse being like, Lacey just gets it. I mean, we can have a conversation about important things and she's just participating. Jesse is like, Michelle didn't participate. She just was there. I mean, what an asshole. Are you kidding me? She was along for the ride. That's what you have to say about her. You hate her so much. So much. But you clearly chose her over Lacey all those years ago when he was like, he was texting with Lacey every single day for 10 years. That's what he said until he met Michelle. That doesn't even make sense to me. Something's very wrong with Lacey. I don't know what yeah. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, wrong with that girl. Like is she is from another planet? Not earth. No, like if we had met her after Artemis went up, I would have thought she hitched a ride on that shuttle and brought herself down here because it's so strange. Strange. And you know what, Jesse, you're strange. Oh, very well, you know what, and maybe they are made for each other. It is so like weird to watch the dynamics. I know. Michelle has gotten a little bit is the whole thing with her in Schwartz produced. Like is there anything to that in your mind or is that like manufactured? I don't know. I think it's just like for the show. And then there were all those rumors about Schwartz and Lala getting together during the season and Schwartz and Michelle. So it's like, I think that all that's been a bunch of baloney. I mean, maybe Michelle and Schwartz are like, well, I mean, we both want to like move on. What if we have a little smooch and see what happens? I mean, I could see them just like having a kiss and then there nothing comes of it. Right. But I will say that that salt cave, as many salt caves as we've been in on in across all of the shows here on Bravo, that was the best one I've seen with the sound bath. Would you agree? Yes, absolutely. You know, I am not mad at a salt cave. I was, you know, last year in the desert springs, hot springs, I was in a bit of a salt cave and a sound bath situation. And I enjoyed myself. So I'm not afraid. I do see it's a nice thing to be in. Yeah. That just looked like the better one of all the ones we've seen. But yeah, Jesse and Lacey, what an interesting look into two bizarre people and the way that they communicate to see those ankles back with the loafers with Jesse. It's, it's, I don't know. I don't know. He, he ain't right. You know, so anyway, I have an issue with Luke again this week. He really needs to step off of Kristen. This behavior in a relationship is not good. I don't feel she's supported. I'm very appreciative that they're showing this. I think it's so relatable. What we're seeing with the new babies, with Nia, with Kristen, who else has a new baby? There's like so many. Well, Lala has her one year old. You know, I love seeing this. It really speaks to how overwhelming it all is. And with Kristen just being in tears at the idea of like, you don't even understand how much I don't want to have sex right now. She's only three months postpartum. I mean, back off. It's really upsetting. And he was referring to the baby, which I found very upsetting as her. He was like, we'll leave her here. We haven't had any time without her. And I'm like, I don't like that at all. You're, yeah. Yeah. It's like, he's one step away from saying it, you know, exactly, like the situation, which is so strange. Cause I thought he was really gung-ho about wanting to have a baby. Like that was his whole thing. So now is this like the reality that you didn't expect? Or I just don't understand it. But then when they did, as he said, Kristen and I, what did he say? Kristen and I hooked up. He said that about his wife. Are they married? No, they're engaged. Didn't we see them get married? Oh my God. It's so funny. I have no idea. No, he proposed her on a boat. I thought that's what I was going to say. Didn't we get see them get married on a boat? Okay. They just got proposed. Okay. But like you're referring to your fiance as somebody that you hooked up with? Like you got lucky? I mean, when Jesse is the one who's going like, yeah, it's a rough time. Like you kind of have to like, right? Yeah. Take a second. It is what it is. You know, it's normal. And even Kristen's therapist was like, what's 15 minutes? Listen, you know, Kristen is taking to motherhood like a fish to water. It's beautiful to see. I didn't, you know, you don't know, like I didn't know if I necessarily anticipated that with her. So I think she, yeah, she just needs a beat buddy back off. Yeah. And I understand what the therapist is saying where it's like, it is good advice to tell married couples to not always push it aside and get in the habit of pushing it aside. Because if you do that, then you're looking at months and months and months and those months turn into years. So I get that. So I do understand the importance of that. Don't get me wrong. But really, it's not the situation. It's three months. Three months is not it. When you hit six months, that's where I would say like, what's 15 minutes? If you're going to give that advice. And it just depends on the situation. But like, just I, we have Kristen's back and also Nia, it's too much. It's too much. I mean, the move, the boxes, the baby not taking a bottle, she has all these other kids, she feels isolated. They have a reality show that they're on. This is a lot. At the end, I was like, whoa, I hope they have eight nannies. I really do. They don't, they don't know. They can't afford eight nannies. They don't know. I really, I really don't think I kind of, even though we've had a bunch of red flags with him and we have, yeah, I kind of was, I left this episode going, I actually don't know if you are a good guy, dude. I don't know. Yeah. I was like very concerned with his flippant attitude, four under four, what's one more, you know, and then kind of having a, hey, hey, hey, like, you know, guns. When she's sitting there going like, I'm about to crash out. I didn't like anything about it. So I'm going to need to see some real conversations with him showing a different side really quick because at this point it's not good. And I understand like, even though I love Santa Clarita and I live here and I love it, she already had a bunch of kids in another neighborhood where she had connections with people where she had the local places that she went to. She's starting from scratch up here and she doesn't have that support system. So it's very different and I get it. Like that's hard. I didn't want it, you know, so it's like, give her, no, the men, like actually Jesse is looking decent after these two. This episode, I will say like Schwartz, you know, as much as I feel like him and Lala are being thrown at us on the show a little bit, displaced, a little like homeless people or unhoused who have needed, who are show, you know, getting some space here. Yeah. He does have a good energy. Yeah. I do think we need him. He does. We're ready for him. I think we are. He brings an energy that's kind of nice to the show. I'm just glad that we're hearing him talk about himself. We heard about his dad living by himself and that he fell and he has another brain bleed. We never hear Schwartz talk about his own life. And I know that Vanderpump Rules wasn't really about that necessarily. It was more about like the relationships on the show and between people. However, it is nice. He doesn't seem to be a person that really flourished as much as I think he could on this platform in this type of structure. And I think that this will be good for him to be more vulnerable. And I appreciate that. And I like that he was open about being candid and about, you know, his sex life and not wanting to, that's not a priority for him. It's great energy. I also don't mind Lala. Again, it's, it was thrown, she was thrown at us along with Sheena before. We were all like, no, too soon, too soon. It's okay now, but it is weird that Sheena's not around. We haven't even talked about it. Why isn't she? I don't think that she agreed to the contract for whatever reason. I mean, I think that I'm not 100% sure, but it is wild. But I'm, I'm okay with that. And if she were to come in later, that would be great. But I think, you know, parceling them out like this is good. But Janet, I gotta stand on their own two feet a bit. Yeah. But Janet, that Congress sours. Sour. Yeah. Sour girl. Just sour. Coming in. And then Lala wanting to make this connection at this party at Sosa's first, her first birthday and her going out there like, so congratulations. And do you have anything you want to say to me? Okay, bye. Was the weirdest scene. One of the strangest scenes I've ever seen. And Nia was like, this is the most awkward I've ever experienced. It wasn't the time. No, I'm talking about when when Janet went up to Nia. Oh, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. That was so weird and so uncomfortable. It really wasn't the time and place weird too. Like she's coming in. She's acting like she has contrition and that she wants to talk about her therapy and like, she needs an immediate apology from Jasmine and or I died. I died. I died. I died. She couldn't hold out for like 60 seconds. Nope. I'm doing the work. The therapist basically told me how to use words that will be better on reality television so I don't get in trouble. So I just want to say, I'm sorry for that. And did you hear that? Great. Yeah. So where is my my thank you. I mean, this is nuts. Can I finish my taco or whatever she was eating? No, I'm not. I'm basically just receiving you right now for the first time and considering that we could have a path. Like, I'm not ready to give you an emergency turnaround apology for my stuff at this time. I know it was like, okay, first episode out of the gates, you know, everyone's kind of welcome back in, welcomed back in, welcomed back in. Second episode, Janet's like, I guess I'll do the apology tour. Here's my presentation. Here's my presentation. Who's in anyone? Okay, next is my presentation. It was like so robotic and then like, no, I know. And then with the jumpsuit, it was even more robotic. I'm like, what are we do we have to wind her up? Do we have to program her? It's like so strange. Very strange. Yeah. Well, those are broad strokes. One last thing that bar called like aviator looks so cool that airplane bar. Should we? We absolutely should we need to go. I think that looks really neat. I liked it. I'm in. I'm so in like, that's a nice something to put on the cow. Okay, let's put it on the cow. Okay, great. That was so fun. Love y'all that was super full bikes for listening. I love y'all. Everybody get it. Check out my old townsh clade if you get your mom towers and can I throw a plug out please for the play I'm doing this weekend. Oh my God. That's yes. That's this weekend and next week.
