Summary

This episode explores how families build lasting legacies through daily choices, shared values, and multi-generational participation. Hosts Daniel and Destiny discuss practical strategies for legacy-building, emphasizing that legacy is not something that happens later in life but is actively constructed today through how families work together, communicate, and treat one another.

I feel too old to change us. You can do anything! We all have a God given dust and eat. Never let negative thoughts or people tell you you can't be great. Can you feel for me and wonderfully made? There's greatness inside all of us. But greatness doesn't happen. It takes boldness, courage and leadership. Welcome to the Entrepreneur Kids Legacy Show where we think big, big, boldly and make amazing things happen. I'm Destiny. I'm Daniel. We challenge you to step into your future, take action and create a legacy that lasts. Let's go! Welcome back, Legacy Leaders. It's Daniel, your inspirational business buddy. And you're listening to the Entrepreneur Kids Legacy Show. And I'm Destiny. Your positivity be at that. This is the show where we learn how to lead with kindness and love and build big dreams. Even more with student children. And today we're doing a Legacy Conversation Round Table. We're talking about something that lasts for generations. It's the basics. Do you know what it is? It's legacy. And what it really means and how we can become legacy builders every single day. Hey guys. I heard you talking about one of my favorite topics in the world. Is it round table time? Yes. As you predicted, it is round table time. Wonderful. Then let me ask you something guys. When you hear the word legacy, what comes to your heart first? I think of good families building together and helping people. I think that legacy is something that people remember about you. It's something, it's for an example. You know, while Disney, we all remember him. His legacy built a whole world. Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise. All those places because of his legacy. That's what comes to mind when I think of legacy. I love those brilliant answers you guys. Legacy isn't just something that happens when you're older. It's something you're building right now with your choices, with your character and how you treat people. That was a really good answer, Daniel. That sounds amazing, Mommy. I love it. You know guys, when I was little, like you, your grandma didn't just build businesses. She built legacy on purpose. She used to tell us that success wasn't about being famous or chasing lots of money. It was about being faithful, working with excellence and building something that lasts longer than you do. And guess what? She didn't build it by herself. She brought us the children with her. She included us in the businesses, in the work and into the decisions, into the big dreams. And when we celebrated the wins, we did it together. So we didn't just hear about legacy. We got to build it as children together as a family, just like with you guys. We work hard. We keep our word and we treat people with kindness and courage. And now our family gets to take what she started and then build the next chapter, higher, stronger, and together as a family. Yes, we do. There's nothing better than an adventure with your family. Mommy, Daddy, me and Daniel. So children, how do you think families actually build legacies together? What are the little things that matter? I think working together matters. If one person does everything alone, that's not family business. That's just one person working. Well, I think the little things that matter are not going apart like Destiny said. So for example, the Bucket List family. So we did a podcast on the Bucket List family. I don't know if you knew this, but their dad, Garrett, was a BYU soccer player. I almost said football player there, but yes, he was a soccer player. But then they started traveling and then they got a YouTube channel and then they traveled more and more. They build it up from something small and that's what you should do with your family. You start small, get bigger and bigger and bigger and bigger until you have a whole family legacy. And I accidentally muffled the mic a little. That's okay. That's okay. But that is such a great point, Daniel. They built together as a family and you're right. They have books now. They have a YouTube show and they've built a legacy. You're going to be able to watch that. Their grandchildren are going to be able to watch all their beautiful memories and all their beautiful adventures. You're so right, Daniel, sticking together. Oh, and they got really big grand deals, don't they, Daniel? Yes, they do, Destiny. That is something also cool. What do you think, Mommy? Well, I feel like there might be something else that you especially and Daniel bring to the family, to the family business. What do you think it is? Oh, I know. I know. Being creative. Kids have ideas. Adults might not think of. Sometimes they work. Sometimes they don't. But trying is what makes us grow. Destiny, that was exactly what I was pointing towards. You children are so creative, just like our friends listening. And friends out there, you're not waiting to grow up to build a legacy. You're doing it now. You may not even realize it. So here's what this means, leaders. Legacy doesn't just happen. You build it today. How you speak, how you show up, and how you love the people in your home. Exactly. We build together and we learn to lead together. Not because it's easy, but because we want success to include family, not replace it. Just like what you were talking about, Daniel, about the Bucket List family and so many other families in our community. They're building together and it's beautiful. We get to be a part of something now, not just later when we grow up. And when they all, babies, will build on top of what we're building now. Yes, exactly guys. Legacy multiplies when every generation participates. Exactly, Destiny. Legacy multiplies when every generation participates. Yepity deppity deppity. Okay friends, do you know what time it is? It's time for the legacy lightning fun facts round. Da na na na. Da na na na na. Da na na na. Music plays. Okay legacy leaders, here's your question. What helps a family build a strong legacy the most? A. Lots of money. B. Strong values and working together. C. Being famous. Now run straight down to the show notes to see if you're correct. And leave your favorite part of the show while you're down there. And also leave your parents Instagram handle in the review section below so we can find our next legacy leader of the month. And now it's time for the tactical challenge of the week. Challenge accepted. So this week's challenge is to ask someone in your family what's one thing I can do to help our family feel stronger together. Then write it down and do it with joy. That's so good guys, always with joy. That's right, Destiny. Now legacy isn't some day friends. It's today. And when families rise together the world changes. That is so good you guys. Friends we're building something bigger than us and so are you. That's right. See you next time, leaders. God bless and see you soon. God bless and we'll see you soon. And keep building that legacy.
