Summary

This episode features three firsthand accounts of alleged Bigfoot encounters across the United States, including a woman's off-trail encounter in North Carolina's Blue Ridge Mountains where she witnessed an 8-foot tall creature, and a separate incident in Oklahoma involving mysterious screams near Ada. The episode is presented as a members-only preview with full content available to supporting members.

Insights
  • Witnesses report consistent physical characteristics across encounters: 7-8 feet tall, stocky build, and extraordinary mobility over difficult terrain that would require climbing equipment for humans
  • Multiple witnesses (companions, dogs, coworkers) corroborate individual sightings, suggesting credibility beyond single-person anecdotes
  • Encounters often occur during vulnerable moments (bathroom breaks, early morning arrivals) suggesting possible territorial awareness or curiosity rather than aggression
  • Geographic clustering of sightings in specific regions (Blue Ridge Mountains, Oklahoma) indicates potential habitat patterns worth investigating
Trends
Increased documentation of cryptid encounters through member-supported podcast platforms enabling niche community engagementPattern of female witnesses reporting similar encounter scenarios across different geographic regionsIntegration of environmental context (terrain difficulty, animal behavior, location specifics) in modern cryptid reportingUse of technology (video recording attempts, photo documentation) in contemporary Bigfoot investigation efforts

So enjoy. So I said, hey, and this thing stood up and was like, I would say a good eight feet tall. And me, I have been a believer in Bigfoot and cryptids and things like that. So I was like, I said, hey, again, and as soon as I said that, it turned and took off further into the woods. And I ducked underneath the roaded engines near where it was standing. Cause at this point, I kind of still thought, this is a person like, what the heck, you're watching me go to the bathroom. And I came through the roaded engines and I could hear it like loud, like running away from me. And about the time that I came through the roaded engines off to the other side, there was a drastic like a sheer drop off that led down to, I mean, probably 50, a 50 foot drop that led down to a creek that went around further through the woods. And by the time that I got from where I was standing to where this drop off was, I mean, it took me probably 30 seconds. This thing was already down on the other side. It did something that would have taken me, even with my ropes and climbing gear, it did something that would have taken me 15, 20 minutes to get to the other side. And it was probably 30, 45 seconds worth of actual movement time. Oh my goodness. Oh, wow. That is extremely intense. Cause you were two hours off trail. There's no way it was anyone. Yeah. I like immediately ran back to where my friend was at and he was sitting in the river like, hey, where you been? And I told him and he was like, like we both were like, what the heck? You know, kind of thing. Wow. Any weird smells when it was around you? Well, when I got to where I was gonna go to the restroom, I smelled what I thought might have been like, like a dead rabbit or a dead squirrel or something, kind of like a dead animal smell. But being out in the woods, being up in the mountains, you go hiking. Sometimes you'll just get a whiff of that. And then you'll come across like a dead squirrel or something and you're like, oh, that's, that's what it was. So I didn't think too much of it until I saw what I saw. And then I was like, well, heck, maybe that's what it was. But... Did you hear it make any noise? Like when it, when it got up or ran off or anything I thought? There was the running, obviously, like the heavy footsteps. But when it was crouched down, when it stood up, I almost heard like an exhale and kind of like, it was almost like, you know, when you're, so like I'm like 35 now and my knees are starting to kind of be a little tough on me from sports and stuff. So, you know, when you stand up and you kind of go, like that, it was almost kind of like one of those, like it set up and was like, like it, you know, and then took off. Oh my goodness. How did it affect you emotionally through all that? Well, it made me not wanna go off by myself for a while. That's for sure. It wasn't something that like, I wasn't, I never felt scared or like threatened. It was more of just like a, like almost like an invasion of privacy, but then at the same time, I was like, there's no way that that was a person watching me. So whatever was watching me was just like, hey, why are you here? Kind of thing, you know? Yeah, absolutely. You know, it's weird too, because this isn't the first version of this kind of thing happening that I've heard. I mean, I've heard this happen to another female out in California once. And so I don't know if it just plays into like the whole curiosity thing or what, but it just is something about it. And she was in the same situation that you were. Did you notice any physical details about it when it got up and ran off or were you not really able to see a lot because of the foliage? There was a lot of foliage, but I could tell that it was, I mean, it had to have been at least seven, eight feet tall. I mean, it was big and it was very, I would say, stocky. So we get out there and we have to open this gate and then it's a long driveway, and then we get to the gate, we have to unlock it, and soon as we unlocked it, I heard like a scream, like, rrrrrrr, you know, and I was like, I didn't say nothing, and he's got a dog with him, and we all, three of us, just, was like, looked at each other, kind of like, like, did you hear that? And I was just like, no. And then he was fixing to get back in a car and it did it again, the same scream again. And it was just like, it sounds like it was just like over the hill, you know, down in that little golly. And there's hogs, wild hogs out there, armadillos, you know, deer and all that kind of stuff. And it was just kind of scary because it was eight o'clock in the morning, you know, when we got there. And that's when we heard it screaming, you know. It wasn't no coyote. I know what a coyote sounds like and stuff, but it was like a long scream, you know. And it was just, we just, the dog got quiet too. You know, he's got a German shepherd, you know. So, and I was like, well, if he got quiet, I know he heard it, the dog heard it and my coworker heard it, you know. So I knew exactly what it was, you know. So I didn't even mention it or anything. I just went about, you know, kept painting and stuff. I paint by the way. So I was staying in the, you know, the cabin and stuff. And I was trying to listen for it again and actually try to like video record it or something, but it never came back. It was only, you know, I had the phone in my pocket and stuff. Right, right. It was a scary kind of ordeal because we're way out in the middle of nowhere. I mean, if we have a flat or, you know, something happens where we have to go stand at this little place in the driveway area just to get a signal, you know. And it's been a couple of sightings over there. One deer, I guess something was holding a deer down. I don't know what it was, but we got there. This is by Ada? Yeah, a toka. Oh yeah, it's okay. How recent was this sighting? This morning, 8 a.m. That was the, that was the screaming I heard twice back to back. And it's just the old dirt road. It goes out past, I think it's past the toka north or southeast, I forget. I think it's north kind of north of there, but it's like turns and stuff. And I'm not from down, you know, a toka area. So that guy that I'm riding with, he's pretty familiar with it. Okay, gotcha. And he heard it and he didn't say nothing to me, you know what I mean? Right, right. Maybe he was used to it, I don't know. Yeah, we just got quiet. That was it, you know, and we kind of just looked at each other and was like, he looked at me and said, what was that? And I was like, I don't know, you know, I didn't really want to say anything, you know. Are you working with this guy again? Yeah, I'll be working with him Monday. We're off, work with him all week and stuff, but he heard it and I know the dog heard it because he had him in the back of the bed of the truck, you know, and usually he jumped out, you know, but he stayed in the back of the bed of the truck. So I knew definitely something was, you know, he was out there. You should ask him next time you work with him if he's heard of any Bigfoot stuff happening over at McGee Creek. Oh, okay. Yeah, we passed a few, we passed a few creeks. Was it Cole Creek, Muggy Boggy Creek, and another one, Owl Creek. And it's just wooded area out there. I mean, and I'm up on the roof and I can see like, and the owner came out, he was like, well, I got, I always have to carry my gun. And I was like, why? And he goes, well, because he's got hog out there and, you know, black bear and deer. And then he said, he lets hunters come out there and hunt sometimes because there's a lot of deer out there, you know, and the hunters pay him. So he gets like deer feed. And I went down there with him where he goes and drops the deer feed at. And it is, it is like, you know, it's a place where I'm pretty sure he would be chilling because he put a lot of feet down there, you know what I mean? And where the deer comes. And I guess they go out there hunting and stuff like that. So it's a pretty, I got pictures and stuff like that but I got a skull of a hog and it was on the side of that trail. So he stopped and let me get it. So, and I just wanted to pick it up because I didn't know what it was, you know what I mean? And he was like, yeah, I got you. Hi, this is Alex Kanshawitz.
