Summary

Jackson Claude and co-host discuss the 2026 Grammy Awards, including performances by Rosé & Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, and Justin Bieber, plus award winners and host Trevor Noah's reception. They also cover Catherine O'Hara's passing, the original Real Housewives of New York cast moving to E!, and current Beverly Hills Housewives drama.

Insights
  • Award show formats prioritizing celebrity background reactions over substantive hosting are becoming outdated and distracting rather than entertaining
  • Established franchises benefit from reverting to original casts when reboots underperform, as evidenced by demand for legacy Real Housewives content
  • New housewife casting requires cultural fit and peer-level status; mismatched additions create uncomfortable dynamics that undermine ensemble chemistry
  • Performance audio issues at major televised events significantly impact artist perception despite vocal talent, highlighting production quality importance
  • Supermarket music and accessible pop deserve reconsideration as legitimate artforms rather than dismissible genres by music critics

Good morning, girlies, it's the Tollos. It's Jackson Claude and where your hoes. It's your favorite show, the fast-five things you need to know. We'll start your day off, swirly, it's the Toast. It's sound amazing. Welcome back to The Toast. Happy Monday. Hope everybody's having an amazing start to their week. I'm having an amazing start because I'm sat here with my co-journer about to hear her truth. A truth in which I haven't heard because I didn't even see you this weekend. No, I was so busy, I had so many revelatory... We were just like a bunch of co-workers going from Friday to Monday without seeing each other. I had so many revelations this weekend. That was kind of the theme, revelations. A revelatory weekend. Okay. Revellatory weekend. Okay, where do I even begin? First of all, we hospitalized the revelations as the best show I've ever made. I'm completely caught up on the season. I apologize for being late. I got here on my own time, but I got here and that's what counts. I am caught up as well because I saw the girls who were watching. I was like, I enjoyed the first episode, so I'm back in and Claudia's going to talk about it. I want to cut up. So that was a great experience. That was a revelation. Another revelation. North Shore Mac is the greatest store on the planet. I've never been to a North Shore Mac before. Like I said last week, I appreciate me getting virtually no hate comments about the fact that I've been wearing the same six things in rotation. And I decided to change that this weekend. And you know, Cardboard Co.J. I packed for Christmas. So I packed like pretty heavily two, three weeks. And I also always have stuff laying around your house. So I had a good amount of clothing to get me through, but obviously my time here has been extended. I went to North Shore Mac. I actually went initially because I just felt like they might have good kids clothes. And again, it's 30 degrees here. I did not pack sweatpants. I packed shorts. I packed bathing suits, which we quite literally haven't worn. I went to North Shore Mac. I went in one girl and I came out another. It's the most amazing place. You know, we're obsessed with like TJ Maxx and Marshalls. And I didn't realize North Shore Mac was just like another one of those of that. And a little bit different. And when you shop at TJ Maxx, Marshalls, it's amazing, but it's a little bit repetitive. Because it's just like, you know, same store, new name. Same with TJ Maxx, Marshalls home. Like, oh, there's only so much like Converse and Rachel. So you can buy for your bebe. Correct. So Rachel. So Rachel. So no, I'll buy all the Rachel's always. Of course, to support her. Yeah. Now that she needs it. Now I just want to support her. North Shore Mac is in this amazing place. First of all, for clothing, like I literally cleared the racks for row. Then I was like, let me see what they got for women. For a code, Jeremy. And I can't believe you have made no comments about my outfit today. You look so wonderful. My entire outfit is North Shore Mac. I'm actually going to stand up. Do you know what's so crazy? I don't want to take away from your revelation. I want to add to it. You went to North Shore Mac on Sunday of this weekend and had a revelation. Weirdly enough, my husband and the boys went to North Shore Mac on Saturday. Randomly. We've never been. And all the time that we lived here, and they came home with like a bounty of kids, clothes, and shoes and everything. And they were so excited. And they were like, North Shore Mac is amazing. And I was like, okay, cool. And then the next day, you were like, North Shore Mac is amazing. Parallel experiences. And people are like, like, you've never been to a North Shore Mac. And you call yourself Cardboard Koji. There isn't North Shore Mac in the city. It's in Union Square. I'm sorry, I'm just not going there. Like, it's such a busy. It's like a time square of downtown. So no, I have never been. And I can't believe what I've been missing out on. First of all, like the beauty products. I got the thing. Ooh. Yeah, no, we have to go. And let me tell you, I was really there for Roo. So like, I peruse a women section for all of 10 seconds. And I found three amazing things. My shirt, French connection, $34. My pants, linen pants, I don't know what brand they are, but they're fabulous with an elastic waistband. $24. Like, I got a new. I got a new. Rushed. They had Charlottes Pillsbury. I got some makeup. I had a Mac, like, it was amazing. So revelation number two. North Shore Mac. North Shore Mac. Oh, yeah, I went out. Mm-hmm. Oh, yeah, you went out Saturday night. I went out Saturday night. Yeah, that's right. I kind of had a party by Tyler Cameron. Do you guys know Tyler Cameron of the bachelor fame? Um, it was so fun. So yeah, I went out. He has this charity event that I started in honor of his mom. And it was so nice. Like, it was like a pretty legit affair. Like, I get a seated gala. And what happened? What happened was that I lost my paddle. There was an auction. And like, they give you a number. And it's like associated with your credit card. And I lost my paddle. Um, and then later in the evening, um, I had left already. And I got a text, but like, thanks for raising your paddle. So I guess that many picked up my paddle and like bid. And like, it's fine. Like, it's for charity. For sure, but you should get whatever they, they bought. I know. I don't want to like ask because like, it's a charity. You should write back, like, sorry, it was a little buzz. What I went. There was like a bunch of really good prizes. We were bidding on like these golf, like, like, once in a lifetime, golf experiences. Oh, I know. I do wonder what I won. And I'm not going to protest, of course. It's all for charity. Which is make sure you get it. Yeah. Totally. And it was it's star studded. It was kind of like a landmine studded. Do you know what I mean? Or, you mean in this line of work? Yeah, when I walked in and I saw like a lot of reality stars, I just had to like very quickly, like sort of center myself. And like, what have I said about this person? Um, so there were, I think up into the ladies from members only. Okay. I think that's what I'm going to do. I'm going to do. I think up into the ladies from members only. Okay. You said no, because I don't know them enough. But I think I did say that they were like big time losers, which I said, if you didn't watch the show, no, like, I just don't feel like it's that hurtful. If you didn't actually watch it, Jason Tardek, he's wearing Abercrombie was there. He was not wearing Abercrombie. I don't think you've said anything. No, I know like I like him. Right. I'm Rachel Cercale, who I also like. I felt good about seeing. Yeah. Um, no, that's really, that's really scary. That's why I don't leave the house. I know, like, it kind of was horrible in the sense that like, I just need to like start separating church and state, you know? Yeah. No, it's really true. Like, you can't live like that, but you also can't come into the show and like, censor yourself of something for you. We need to speak in my truth. So you did it for Tyler Cameron, you put yourself in a comfortable situation. You did it for a good cause that maybe don't do it again anytime soon. Yeah. Yeah. You know what it was great. It was really great. It was kind of like a very balanced weekend. Yeah, I went out. I watched so much TV this weekend, like, Ben and I were so, um, first of all, Ben is obsessed with the real housewives of Beverly Hills. He's like turning to me. I had put it on because I wanted to watch it. And it was just like, we're in this together, right? We have one, we're in this Airbnb, like, there's a TV and like, whatever I'm watching, we have to watch together. You guys are bound. And I could tell he's like, oh, this is what we're watching. And I was just like, I have to watch it for work. Like, just get over it. Um, always say that. Like, I have to watch it for work. And literally the second Ruby went down for his naps, he was like, are you watching? He's obsessed. Of course, he's obsessed with Bo. He's going to do like a whole thing about it on the good guys because he's just like, so what top of those? Do just about the real housewives. But Bo is his favorite. Oh, okay. He thinks Kyle's really cool. Okay. He thinks Sutton's a loser. Um, and he comes into it with like no context. He can see no shit. Or like history. So he's just watching this season. So those are his takes and he like seriously can't get over Amanda. Oh, okay. So let's recap at the end of the show. We'll recap everything that we watch up until this point. We have a little bit of real housewives news to we'll like group it all together. Great. We watched the Grammy's last night. I watched I would say like 80% by 1030. Like I had to go. Yeah. There was something that was my 13th reason for turning it off. I was very tolerant. I think I watched I passed 10 o'clock. I can't remember what it was that I was like, and now I'm done. You know, my my watch is ended. Yeah. It was just late too. Like it was also just bad. So like, I didn't think it was bad. There was only so much I could take. There was like some good moments like Bruno Mars performing that once but twice. Yeah. That meant a lot to me. I feel like it had that very classic, you know, award show stank with like, you know, insufferable people just like being so out of touch. But I feel like the performances like I actually really enjoyed the show. Oh, I thought the performances. Well, I want to go performing. Yeah. Yeah. I can't group them out together because like some were good and some were bad. Like overall, it was just like I wasn't like enjoying myself. I feel like a lot of the times I watch the Grammy's and I feel so old. And I'm like, not only do I not know any of these people, but I sound like an old permage of being like, you know, back in my day, we listened to real music. And last night I felt like there were have a ton of that. The new artist category, which we will get into had a little bit of that sort of genetic why of what of like, this isn't music. I don't know these people. I feel old and back in my day, you know, we use instruments. Yeah. But for the most part, I actually really was enjoying myself. Oh, that's so that's how the person. I'm talking to a person. That's so nice to hear. Let's get into the story. Yeah. So we can talk about the Grammy's because I want to share my thoughts. We'll talk about the performances, the awards, the host, the show opened with Rosé and Bruno Mars singing my song of the year, Aapata, which should have been everything to me, but it didn't sound really good. So what's interesting and I said to Ben, it's such a good song, it can't sound bad. No, like, yeah, they didn't arrange it, but also things were louder than other things, and it just like didn't, it wasn't amazing, even though I would have loved for it to be. I feel like they're in a place where they both have probably sang that song so many fucking times, and it gets old no matter how good a song is. So yes, they did this punk emo arrangement, which was not my favorite by any means, but I didn't, I kind of felt like Cynthia Reeva, like I didn't know that was happening. I didn't even know Bruno Mars was scheduled to be at this affair, because he just kind of gets nominated all the time. And so the fact that like it opened with my boyfriend singing one of my favorite songs, like I was not going to be unhappy. And yes, it was different and wasn't the best? No, but I enjoyed it. Like I enjoyed it because it's my boyfriend. It's my boyfriend, I'm seeing there with Bruno, you know, my dog is literally named after Bruno Mars, that's how much my family loves Bruno Mars. And like now we're having a brand of songs because like he's putting out an album and he's going to be back, he's going on tour, like we're going. I was, everything was like all lining up to be good, but then like it just didn't sound good. I think there were some like audio issues, which we saw with Alex Warren, which we'll get into. You know, I was able to look past the audio issues, because like I was excited and like it was just starting. I'm like, oh, this is how we're starting. Okay. Yeah. And you know, whoever opens the award show, like it kind of sets the tone for what kind of show it's going to be. So I feel like with Bruno being there, like I liked the tone that it was setting. Me too. Like I loved everything about him. I know. Like I'm not getting bogged out with how it's bounded, you know? No, and I'm just like glad that they gave us a pata. Yeah. And they knew that it was like big enough to do it first and the biggest. Yeah. Great. Yeah. Happy for them. Trevor Noah hosted again. Oh my God. And I didn't, first of all, we didn't cover it obviously. I don't know if it was like a big news story because usually when these big award shows have a host, like it becomes a thing. So either like nobody cared or they didn't announce it, but I didn't realize it's been six years. I'm like, it's really enough. It was enough after the first year. I'm personally not a Trevor Noah fan. And I just like, I wish he did something different this year like tried being funny. I feel like that would have been really, um, really good. I would have liked that. I don't know if my brain is just mush. I couldn't process like what he was saying in the room that he was saying with all these people around him, he's talking so fast. I didn't know what he was saying. It was very manic and that it was very manic. I felt like if I looked at my phone for one second, I was also, you know, trying to answer some emails. I had no idea what was going on. I would pick my head up and he's just like sitting there with bad bunny like. Yeah. What? It was very confusing. Yeah. Well, the layout of the room and I think that is his like style is like kind of fast speed talking kind of similar to what we do. But it's just not the right venue for it. And I thought some of his jokes, like I was really shocked that like we were saying, like such like sort of like, you know, airplane food comedy. Like, can I get a discount code at Louis Vuitton for a like, haha, it was just like really like low hanging fruit. Um, it isn't impossible job at Nikki Glazer, you know, that's it. Time and again. Like it's actually not. Um, he was just pissing me off like with his like ratata like fast speaking, um, unfunny jokes. And I, he said it's his last year and I think this was like his way of going out with a bang. I think he like made them joke that like he maybe was like holding back last year. Was the bang in the room with us? Um, not, not my room, not my bang. So I like, it was my least favorite part Trevor Noah. I'm just not a Trevor Noah fan. Like I feel like he's just a part of that group of like sort of industry plant comedians, you know, like I don't know how many, you know, rip roaring fans. He has and I don't know. I'm just like, I'm over it. It was a lot. The chairs were so packed together. There's like celebrities in every corner of the TV. I'm like, trying to hear what he said. And you could tell they were like hiding from the camera and it's like to the point of what you're saying. And there's just too much going on. I don't like the format. Did you see there was like a guy who kept standing up like right in front of the camera? Like he either didn't know the camera was on him or that shot afterward. It was Kelty's husband. So I was like, oh my god. That guy looks like Kelty and I. Husband and he is like in music. He's like a really big music executive. I feel like that might be him. But I don't know 100% what he looks like. And then Kelty posted on her Instagram like, yes, sorry. I wasn't there to tell him to sit down. Like it was actually so painful. hilarious. That was like funny, but that was not really Trevor's doing. That was more so Chris's doing and Trevor was noticeably irritated. And it's like, what did you expect? You put the camera in the middle of a crowded floor. You're standing in the audience. Why don't you get on stage like I didn't hear him being in it. It was so manic. It was really crazy. I did not like it. It was crazy. And I feel like they hope that they're going to get like good celebrity actions in the background of stuff. Yes. That's so 10 years ago. Oh, I'm hanging fruit. That's so 10 years ago. Like, oh my god. The audience reaction. And if we're bring it. If it if we're bringing things back from 10 years ago, you know what I'd like to bring back. Put the camera on all the nominees like for when they find out that they won or lost. I'm sorry. Like it's fun. I feel like they try to like save face. No, I like it. Bring it back. Yeah. I just love that girl. I know she didn't win one award last night, but like it wasn't like her year, you know, last year was her year. And she had a lot of good stuff this year like enough to get nominated, but really not enough to win. But that performance was just it had everything. It had the dancing. It had the TikTok dance. It had the song. It had the vocals. It had the outfit. It had the aesthetic. Like I couldn't done without the bird because like one like leave the bird alone into it like the bird kind of like fell. But other than that, I just felt like so everyone should go home. Yeah. It felt very effortless too. Like she was so comfortable, not nervous at all. She's just like walking and striding. And I like my voice. And I did get it. And I just so much fun when she says like this is someone who loves their job. And I just felt like they should have ended the performances after that. Like she was so good. I felt bad for everyone else. You know what performance so good that can make you feel bad for everyone? Don't even bother. Yeah, but it's like this didn't make me feel bad for anyone because I feel like vocally she's amazing, but it's not like she has something that no one else can like achieve. So like everyone is capable of this sort of greatness at who can say who can care. Meet her here. Yeah. You know, Mariah Carey, you know, well, you all were born, can sing and that. Right. Sorry. Yeah. Next Kendrick Lamar, one best rap album. That felt right. Yeah. Um, best new artist Medley. Okay. So what they did was best new artists nominees. They all performed one after the other. They all got, you know, ample time to perform. Did you feel like the Maria's got like a little bit more? It felt long. You know, it's just like, oh really? 1000%. 1000%. I mean, time flies when you're having fun. So the Medleys is where I was like starting to like feel, you know, distant from, you know, the new generation. Um, and it, it pains me. Obviously, I don't know the Maria's and that girl like was talented, but that music was dreadful. Um, and then they went into Addison. And I feel like since Addison's launch on TikTok, I know two people have been more supportive of her. And I love that she, you know, chose music as like she was doing acting and then social media and she chose music and she's like giving her her whole heart. It's not the type of pop star. I wanted and that doesn't mean that it's bad or good. It's just not what I like. It's very Charlie XC X Lana tell Ray, whereas I'm much more like, you know, Taylor Swift Sabrina Carpenter, like more obvious, you know, yeah. Um, and then that performance was really shocking in its badness. Um, the song, Famous A Gun is, I've heard like that one eight second clip from Tika. It's a nice, you know, like I know like the eight seconds. Um, I had never heard the whole song before and it was really shocking how not good it was. The dancing, like it was all so crazy. It was not good. It felt cheap. Yeah. Yeah. The dancing and the backstage and I want the most for her. And I've always been supportive of her and I always will. I would never be like a hater, but like, you know, you have to be able to just be like that wasn't the greatest. Yeah. And I just know it was kind of killing Tate McCray. Like because when she showed up on that truck, it was from a really far camera distance. I was like, Oh, is that Tate McCray? Was she nominated? The whole thing was giving just like really try hard and like the vocals weren't great. The dance, everything was like operating at a very mediocre level. Yeah. And she's a really great dancer. So they did like the dance break and the dance break wasn't. Yeah. It wasn't good. Yeah. And then to Kat's eye. Yeah. They'll, okay. So they perform their song, Narlie. This is what I think I know about Kat's eye. Are they the group from the Netflix show? Okay. I think they are. I think they are. But do they not sing Golden? No. Oh, okay. They are the group from the Netflix show. Are they K-pop? Or they just like a band? I like bands these days. I'm like making the band. I just feel like bands. They're the Danity K. Or K-pop. Like I don't know any other bands. Well, because they are like mimicking Blackpink and like what they bring, which is like Fire Dance moves you all in Unison. They were not in Unison. They sing their song, they shouted their song, Narlie. It was nutty. It was nutty. And sometimes there's just someone shouting, Narlie. It was interesting to watch him as a collective, but then also focus in his- It was in Fifth Harmony. Yes. Exactly. It was giving Fifth Harmony. So with those back-to-back Marias, I was like, damn, the soon generation of music is not cutting it. And then things started to slowly get better. With Leon Thomas, who I completely discovered in that moment, Ben was like, that looks like Andre from Victoria's. I'm like, of course, you would know that. It is. I didn't know that that was happening much like Cynthia Rivo that Andre, whose name is Leon Thomas, he's also a Grammy winner. Like he's been around for a little bit. He won last night. I've heard the name. Yes. And I just hadn't put together that that was Andre. Like that school really was a performing arts school. Like they were churning out the star. And I just know what Kills Victoria Justice, like another one bites the dust, like Ariana Grande, Leon Thomas. She was right though. They really do all sing. Yeah. Crush it. I thought his performance was great. And like, I wasn't familiar with his music, but if he had won, I would have thought it was well deserved. Yeah. So that's when it started to get better. Yeah. Like we needed a break from the chaos. And it was just refreshing to see a guitar. Do you know what I mean? Yeah. Bring back guitars. I feel like I never see guitars anymore. Mm-hmm. Like instantly saw a guitar on Justin Bieber. Yeah. We'll talk about that one. I saw it. I didn't hear one. No, but it was like a loop de loop. Yeah. Then Alex Warren performed ordinary and like, I feel so bad for him today. No, he cried himself to sleep because his, he couldn't hear himself. It wasn't the fault. He started singing the, from the moment he, the camera on him, he's touching his monitor. He's touching his ear. And he's walking through the crowd and it's like so chaotic. And he's like, thinking, what am I singing at my ear? He's like not enjoying himself. Then he gets to the stage and he rips it off. Usually that's like, okay, let it just kill her. Let it just kill her. And he was just not with the music. Thankfully he put it back in. And then by the time he was up lifted, singing the chorus, like he was on track, but you just know like, he is so upset. I was so upset. It was devastating. Like what a big deal to be nominated for best new artists, especially like, I mean, I think a lot of people have like crazy come up stories, but his is really kind of, we know him from the high pass, but before that, I mean, he was homeless. He's an orphan, like just a real rags to riches story, a real success story. Just devastated. And seriously, I don't know whose job it was to make sure the monitors were on, but like, I want him to be held accountable. Like I feel so bad. It wasn't like, you know, Alex Warren stunk it up. No, no, it was not his fault. I felt like he wasn't with his music. And he couldn't hear. And that was really sad. Like my heart goes out to him. And I just want to tell him like, the Grammys aren't that big of a deal. Like don't worry about it. You'll go on. No one was watching. In your life, you'll do things greater than singing it. Maybe you won't, but I think he will. No one was watching seriously. Like we're all going to forget about it. And I just want to say he gets a lot of like, I see like music, people who like criticize music, like they call like him and Olivia Dean. They call it like super market music, right? It's just like, they say it's similar to Meghan Trainor, right? Like music that just sounds good in people like. And after those three dreadful performances, I was like, we need to erase this stigma around super market music. Because when you're telling me a supermarket market music is good, it sounds nice. It's joyful. Yeah. Okay. So what's your, somebody asked me what I like? I like supermarket music. I love supermarket music. That's always how I know something to hit. I'm like, I heard about the supermarket. Yeah. And I think that's like, you know, look down on from like music critics. And what like the Maria's is considered good. Sorry. No, bring back super market music. I felt so bad for him. It was so, it was as an empath myself that I kind of like couldn't recover after that. Yeah. Me neither. So like kind of glad that he didn't win because I don't think he could have like given a speech after that. Like I think his night was thoroughly ruined. Another year will be his Grammys here. He'll have an amazing performance and he will triumph. And I just, that was not it. And that was. It was triggering for me though. You know, given the Picasso of it all. Oh. I'm sorry. I didn't realize that was happening. Yeah. Then Lola Young sang Scream Messing. That was such a crazy performance. She's a crazy girl. And I like crazy. And that song is really good. The rendition was just not for me. I appreciate her trying to do something new and different. She is an extremely talented vocalist. Yeah. And I think she wanted to show that off. And she just sort of went sideways. She went too high and loud and far. Yeah. It was a crazy performance. It was. It was a crazy evening for Lola. She wound up winning an award for messy Best Pop Vocals, which I think is earned to the vocals on the song or insane. And she shouted or think like it was she's a shatter. She's just a crazy person. But like the Grammys are for the crazy people for Lady Gaga for chat. We're on that outfit for Lola. Yeah. And Alex Warren's just not crazy enough. I know that's why he's super market. Same with Olivia Dean did with. Then when to Olivia Dean, she sang, man, I need. I love watching her perform. And she brought the same energy like from all of her performances to the Grammys. So I feel like people who didn't know who she was weren't familiar with her game were able to like see what we all see. And then she won. And it was so earned after that, mentally. It was just very clear after like the lead up of the performances that she was the winner, right? I mean, from the dreadful nonsense to like the just noise from Katzai, it was very clear. Like if she didn't win, there was something really wrong with that category. Well, Sombra also performed. So you know what? We've talked about Sombra a few times. And I feel like. Is that the one dating? Do you go to Johnson? No, that's the role model. Sally. We talked about, oh my god, I don't have it as a story. Sally's 25th birthday. We can talk about it after. It's not a story. It is. So Sombra we talked about because he was at the dinner where Taylor Swift was giving out loaves of her bread. OK. And then we were like, who is it? And he performs on SNL? Yes. And I've been learning so much about Sombra in the last 24 hours. And everything I learned about him, I love. Ready? First of all, his performance was incredible. And I do know that song. In a room full of people I love for you. It sounds different. I know it too. It's very disco. I like it a lot. No one's doing music like that. And he's good. And he kind of looks like a nerd. So you just don't think he's going to have like Riz. I thought it was going to be Benson. No, it was so different. I loved it. And wait, wait till you hear this. You're going to love him even more. Jew. Jew, what's his real name, why? Like my son. Wait, his last name? Somebody told me it's like, safty. He looks at me really Jewish. Like, so fattel or something. Like, umber. He grew up on the lower east side. Shane Michael Boose. No, that's not what I heard. Are you sure that's his last name? Yeah. Let me say, I feel like you're just like, oh my God. There's a question people also ask. This is not a sentence. Is Sombra a nepo? He's not. I believe he was raised by a single mom on the lower east side. OK, let me go to his. You sure that's his real name? That's what's coming up on this tab. What tab is that? On Google, like right there, Sombra is the stage name of Shane Michael Boose. None of that is really giving Jew. No, I'm telling you. Are you sure it's not role model? I'm positive. Or Benson Boone. I'm sorry. Where'd you hear that? Just like the comments, I guess. He was raised on the lower east side. Oh, thank you. He's the son of Benna Sarfati. That was the name that I heard. An Andy Boose. Oh, we're both works for Amphar. That's not nepo. No. What depends it much about that? He was really good. I really liked him. He shouldn't win because having one good song does not a new artist make. But I felt like it was a great global stage for him. I agree. And I would have been happy for Alex Warren to win that also. Me too. But no notes on Olivia Dean. No notes. Yeah. And she was one of my best dressed in that Chanel dress. Yeah. Love. Then Justin Bieber came out in his undies. Yeah, so brave. And I said to Ben, you have to not eat all day to be on stage in your undies. What if you... And what if you... What if you add an undies? What if you pee a little? What if you shard? You can't. Not shard for three minutes. It's kind of a scary thing. He's performing for the first time in many years. It's just like a crazy move to the first time performing your undies. Well, not because of an accidental pee or shard. So many things. It's because it's a very... It's a very shocking thing to see. It's a very... I understood the message, like the metaphor. He was stripped down, right? Yeah. It's just like him and his room messing with his music and riffing about his lady love. He sang Yukon, naked with a guitar on him. We saw New Tattoo. He's got a big picture of Haley on his back. Yeah. I like that song. It's not my favorite. I so could have used it. Just naked some honey. I get it, I get it, I get it. But clearly, he wanted to hit this vision. Whatever, you know what? What's good for Justin is good for me. He's got an amazing voice. He seemed to be doing really well. Haley was so supportive. And it was good, it was fine. He successfully performed. I think people were worried about what's it gonna be like to see him live. He sounded really good. Right, people forgot. He is one of the best voices. It was not PPP Pupu. No, not at all. Even though the undies were a shock, I think in talking about it, I understand what he was trying to say. He's just like a boy in his room. This is me, no, no, like sparkle, no costume. Yeah. And I'm gonna wear a shirt. Right. That's how it's very distracting. That's how undestracted you'll be. Like, and this is how I made this song about the woman that I love. And they kept cutting to Haley. Like I, that was really good with that thing. I appreciated that. We got a lot of Haley. Yeah. They were, you know, seated in Trevor Noah's unfortunate like realm of, you know, closeness. But I liked it. Yeah. I'm not gonna say I understood it completely. She used to be like, you can't, like I liked it. I liked it as much as I could for not knowing, like, for wearing your undies. For what? No, like, and I don't, I didn't really, I've heard maybe bits of that song, but I don't really know what I didn't listen to swag. So it's like, you know, watching someone that I'm not like a huge, yeah, she was good. She was good. Like, yeah, it was good though. No, it was good. Like job well done. Check. We can exhale. Yeah, right. Bad Bunny won the award for best music or a band-a album. Okay, music or a band-a. Could you talk less like, what do you want me to say, music or a band-a? Yes. Yes. You really want me to say that. Music or a band-a. You really want me to, you think that like, more than anything. I think that's like more offensive than if I just said. Music or a band-a. Music or a band-a. Well deserved. Yeah. I didn't tell you, I wasn't familiar with Carol G and her beauty. Yeah, she is at the beginning of the show, they cut to a beautiful woman. And they said, oh, who's that random beautiful woman? And I've seen Carol G perform because she performs at a lot of these award shows and I didn't recognize her. And then when she came to present the award, I was like, oh, that's Carol G. That's a beautiful woman. And their little her and Marcelo, that's tick me to be laugh. Like, oh yeah. Then my future kids are going to clean the house too. Very funny. Very, I agree. Also, Trevor Noah kept making these jokes about bad Bunny and the Super Bowl and how he can perform tonight because he's playing with Super Bowl. Can we get you to perform? I was like, why don't you just respect his boundaries? It just was not funny. Yeah. Then Lady Gaga performed Abra Kadabra. And much like Aapata, I believe it's a song she's probably like beat to the ground, right? It was one of the biggest songs this year. She was on tour. When I went to see her Madison Square Garden, they started the show in hour late because she performed Abra Kadabra six times and they filmed it for the VMA. So this is a song she's beat to death. So I understand her wanting to reinvent it in a sense. The lamp shade, like everything, she is who she thinks she is. And she is who all these other bitches like think that they are. And when we talk about like crazy artists, like all of it is fake, all of it is performative. Lady Gaga is so the real thing. She's the craziest person on the planet. And what I love about her is like, I don't get it, right? I don't understand anything that she does, but she never sacrifices like the quality of her performance because yes, it was insane. It was an amazing performance of that song. So while I don't understand it, I can enjoy it. Yeah. And I appreciate that. She is who Chapel Rhone thinks she is with her nipples out. Please. Oh my God, that dress of Chapel Rhone. It was obviously fake nipples, right? Because I didn't see pink. Oh, I didn't like look at that for Aureoli. I was just like, felt like I was watching a medieval torture chamber like that. Oh, yeah, no, chilling. Chilling. Did you feel like, I know she's still really big, but definitely like, Chapel kind of fell off. Well, because you remember last year when like every single person was like thanking her and like during her performance, it was like all anyone was talking out. It was like all the celebrities were like tripping over themselves to get near her. Like she was like the sort of god like figure. And she released one or two songs this year. One of them was nominated the subway, but do you feel like she's just like, well, all that hype? I wanted to say like, you know, don't they say there's like a best new artist curse? Yeah. And then I'm like, well, wait, no, Chapel Rhone last one last year, like maybe it's not. But yeah, no, I mean, I just think it's not a curse. It's just like sometimes people go places and sometimes they don't like. I think there are famous people who have lost it. Like I think Christina Aguilar lost it. I think Justin Bieber lost it. Right. But I think there are like some, you know, clear people who have won it. Like so I think it's only Dion one, you know, so it's just like 50, 50. Okay. They're like, they can't, like they're just guessing. Yeah, it was in Chapel's year. And that's fine. I loved Abba Kadabba. I love that song. I also, because I was watching with captions, I got to like hear some of the lyricism. Of the lyrics that I was just always like, Abba Kadabba. Abba Kadabba. Yeah. Abba Kadabba. She's saying the floor is on fire. Yeah, it's such a good song. I actually, when I went to Mayhem, that's when I really started to appreciate it. Cause I heard it 10 times. And I was like, you know what, this song is really good. I feel like it was a great night for Gaga. It was because she also won Best Pop Vocal. In Temporary. A album. Yeah. And it wasn't, it was a weird year for just like, there was no clear winners. I feel like everybody won their category. Everybody won something. Yeah. And the first speech was ending. By the way, she gives a crazy performance and then like an incredibly cogent speech. She's very intelligent. She is like, she was just like, I really, you know, appreciate hard work and craftsmanship and that's what this album is to me. And like, I think the fact that she was able to put out like a crazy artistic piece of art, but also have it be commercially successful is the dream for her. Yeah. And I also, I don't know, she's at this level. We're like, you know, I don't think she would like, be excited about winning like pop contemporary. I didn't even know that was a category. I don't pop vocal, pop contemporary. She was so humbled and like so honored. I just feel like her, for me, like her Q-score went up so much. I've always loved her. I love her music. She's crazy, but I feel like I understand her a little bit more and her and her man, her audio engineering man. She looked so normal in so many senses even though she is this like crazy person. You know who she is? She's that quote, flubber. Yes. Oh my god, she is flubber. She is flubber. This is the quote, you know, that I love. Yeah. Be regular and orderly in your life so that you may be violent and original in your work. Yeah, because I feel like she lives a very normal home life. Like her man is so normal. She, even when she was speaking, as she was like kind of soft-spoken, you wouldn't think she was that crazy fan. She was just doing that lampshade performance. I feel like it was such a great night for her. I'm so happy for her and that album is so good. Yeah, I listen to it. Like usually whenever I watch in a word, try to, they're like, fine new music or I'm reminded of something like this morning. I was like, play Mayhem Lady Gaga. You're a big, a doctor, I can kill your disease. Also, I feel like she hasn't won an award in a long time. Yeah. So I felt like it meant a lot to her. There was a time where she was sweeping and then to like, you know, put out an album, let's say 10, 15 years after like born this way and be showing all these bitches. How it's done. I think that it's even more meaningful. Yeah, and I just think it's like very clear she has a happy home life and that was coming through for me. She feels very fulfilled. Jelly Roll won Best Contemporary Country album. I was really shocked by that. I don't know why. Well, I mean, I didn't have a horse in the race in the albums that were nominated and... I thought Eric Church was gonna win. Like the industry loves Jelly Roll. Like the mainstream and like not just country, music and country radio, but like pop and Hollywood loves Jelly Roll. He's like getting tapped a lot. So pop off, kid. Yeah, and he was so excited to win. It's nice to see like people who like these things mean a lot too. Yeah, I agree. When it means something to someone. Yeah. Then we had Bruno Mars performing his new song. I just might... Okay, the vocals weren't there for me honestly, but were you shocked for some? I love that song. And it's brand new. It's like a week old. Were you surprised that everyone in the audience knew the words? Like the celebrities? Do you know the words? Yeah, of course. Yeah, but it's a one week old song and the celebrities knew it. I feel like more so than other performances. They kept cutting to people in the audience. These huge stars, everybody was mouthing the words. I'm like, how do you guys know it? I just feel like he is peerless. Mm-hmm. Everybody, he sort of like sets the standard. Yeah, he does. I really enjoyed the performance. Me too. I love... What are his up bandmates called? The Hooligans. Oh, I live for those Hooligans. Yeah. Like they are supremely talented. And it's giving guitar. Yeah. Like live vocals. Yeah, maybe he could have had a backtrack because I don't know a little better. No. Everything with Bruno was like live music, live vocals, live dancing. Like I loved it. Yeah. And I'm glad he's back in the mix. Me as well. And then next year he'll be nominated for Best Album and like get more Bruteroo Bruteroo Bruteroo Bruteroo. Exactly. Tada. Billy Irish won Song of the Year for Wildflower. Okay, just as wrong. You know, I hate when things are wrong. Mm-hmm. Now, Golden was so clearly the song of the year. But if we just want to get factual, this song came out in 2024. It's even the Barney movie, right? It's that one. No, that's made for... I don't know. How if it... Is that the song? No, the Barney movie one is like... I was made for... Is that not Wildflower? No. It's called what I was made for. Okay, fine. You're right about that. It sounds exactly the same. This song wasn't even the year of the song it was released. So it certainly wasn't the song of the year after it was released. But I guess through some like facocked backwards way, they like re-released it or whatever. So it wasn't even released this year. I had to Google it. I'm like, what's that song? Oh yeah, I've heard a little bit of an TikTok. So it was not the song of the year. Can you read me the other nominees? Yes. I think it's Dabro. Better suited. Anxiety, Dogey. Oh, I thought that was gonna win. And that was... I forgot because it was like six months ago. That was out of the way. And it's so good and different. That was the song of the year. Apata. Global song of the year. Like this. I think so too. DTMF, Bad Bunny. Also, could have won. And I would have had no issue. Like, literally any of the songs could have won. And I would have had an argument to support it. I do not have an argument here. Golden. Except actually, the only argument that I would make for why they might have won. And that was the one that was delivered by Carol King, right? So they were really leaning into the songwriting of it all. Every song in that category, they would put the songwriters at the bottom. It was like a paragraph, like ten people. Billy Isles' was her and her brother. And that, I have to give credit, even though I find her in sufferbowl. That is impressive. Like how many people it takes to write a songwriting? If it is about songwriting. Yeah. And then record of the year is more about like Bob City. Yeah, which went to says up. And Kendrick Lamar. So I have no issue with that either. And especially because I think it's important that the song of the year be released that year. Like not to be a stickler for the rules, but. But sure, if it's about the songwriting, that's fine. Man Child also was nominated and Luther and. Oh, Man Child also was one of the ones that had like less. It had maybe three or four. It was just pre-new Jack. And maybe one of the first. And Amy Allen. Yeah. I agree. But for Oppa to Jackie, it was like 15 people. It was like insane. I mean, and it's like, it's just sounds like it's crazy. I'm coming to getcha. I'll getcha. I'll getcha. I'll getcha. I'll getcha. I'm on my way. It's so good. It's so good. Yeah. It should have been record of the year. I think something like more Bob City. It should have been a record of the year. So like, it's. Oppita or anxiety. Yeah. Then. Oh, Tyler. Tyler Cameron. Tyler Cameron creator. Tyler created. I think the simulation of the Hicular Man Slaughter might have been when I turned off the show. They hit someone with a car. And that was the perfect. And they blew up the gas station that like they hit them. It was really crazy. It was performance. I didn't know that song because it was like a trending. Like sugar on my song. Oh, yeah. Song. Your body is so sweet. I will just be honest. Like I didn't understand it. Call me the performance. Yeah. I wasn't getting any of it. So yeah. I didn't get it. Yeah. I thought it was like crazy to hit someone with a car and then like dance around it. It's just like little insensitive. Um, for Elle, one that Dr. Drake, global. Yes, yes. Yes. Reba led the MMMORIUM tribute. I'm not gonna lie. I did miss all of this. I was fast asleep. Yeah. And Ozzy Osborne tribute. Oh, that's nice. I mean, I feel like they were like dangling Reba in front of us being like for the first time she's performing. And it was like for the MMMORIUM. Well, why don't you just do like a Reba tribute. I would have appreciated that. I feel like it's kind of like a slap in the face to be given the MMMORIUM performance, you know. You think so? I do. I think you can make it really beautiful. Of course. Oh, and then Cher received a Lifetime Achievement Award. And she also presented for Record of the Year. And it was for Luther. The song. And she said she gave it to Luther Vandros. And you know what, it's about time Luther Vandros is recognized. I mean, that song. Dance with my father again. Like good luck not crying. And then Luther Vandros has long been snubbed. I agree. And I like that Cher sort of took matters into her own hands. Just as Luther Vandros. So funny. And then that Vandey won album of the year. Well deserved. I have no issue. I wasn't rooting for anyone like in particular. For the day I'll tear our MOS photos. MOS photos. I think they all could have won. And I would have been happy about it. Like I wouldn't. There's no one here that it's like undeserved. This wasn't a year where like there was a clear winner for me. For me. For sweeper. I guess the sweeper is bad money. Because it's one, two or three times. And he was the first person ever to win like Latin album of the year. And which is kind of crazy. It's giving like Casey Muscreis when she won Golden Hour Country album of the year. Which is a big deal. And then like also. And that's kind of cool. But she also win like songs. I feel like for the last few years they give everybody one. Yeah. And it's not really sweepy. And in general I do like a sweep. But this wasn't a year of sweep. No, nobody swept. So those are the Grammys. I hope that everybody who watched them enjoyed them. Yeah. And Trevor made it a big thing that like they're not going to be on CBS anymore. And he's not hosting. I wonder where they're going. Like why do I care? Yeah. I'm just like turning on my TV. Yeah, he was making it like ARP. To like TV guy and I click Grammys. I don't actually look at where it's right. I actually didn't realize I was watching CBS. I don't wait until he brought it up. I don't give a fuck. Right. Just like put it on. I was watching it on YouTube TV. You know what I mean? Like not on TV. Right. Unless they're going to another platform. Right. Which would be a big deal. I don't give a fuck. 1000%. That's so funny. Also major new Steven Spielberg is Egot after this award season. I just feel like he's not. No, I feel like he is. And I'm not a Spielberg swirly. So don't get it twisted. But this feels right. Somebody who should be any. He like does work across all, you know, mediums. Really? I feel like he just directs movies. What else does he do? I don't know. He just wants a side story. So movie music. A movie. But like there's music involved. Right. That he's not a part of. Like he's just directing the music people. He did the music for the documentary music by John Williams. Which got in the grip. No, like it's just giving back to Egot. Sorry. No, I think it's easier for someone on the back end to win an Egot than on the front end. No, somebody like Jennifer Hudson, like is such an obvious Egotter. Yeah. Right. But like on the back end, like Pasic and Paul can be Egot. Like that would be so. Because they create music. Yeah, but that would be like more back end. Because you get an Oscar in there. Yeah, that's fine. I, I, I, someone who stars in an Oscar movie, a Tony production gets a Grammy. Like that's harder, but I will accept back end Egotts. You know, behind the lens. Yeah. Are you ready for our next story? Sad news. Catherine O'Hara. It's Creek Star and Comedy Legendized at 71. This was shocking. Moira Rose. Also the mom from Home Alone. She's in a million things. But like most recently, Moira. And when we found out she passed, Ben has actually been wanting to watch Best in Show. Do you know what that is? So it's like kind of Catherine O'Hara's greatest work. And it was the first time she ever worked with Eugene Levy. So they like had known each other. I didn't realize they had like, they have this like very, very famous movie. And when Joey Kamasa was posting about her dad, he kept posting about her character. She places like, it's like crazy dog people who all traveled to this like dog competition. Joe, whatever. And I didn't realize they play husband and wife. So they have this like long-sorted history. I was shocked. Yeah. It's very sad. Oh my God. I feel like I can't remember the last time. Like somebody so beloved. Yeah. Past away so unexpectedly. Yeah. I guess she was 71, but like, that's not even that old. And she was a very young 71. Yeah. And I think it's like hitting really hard for people because of like the Home Alone movies. Like she was very much like America's mom for many years. And Moira. Well of course. Like she's so Moira. She is Moira. And now it's like you go back and it's like, oh, when she was the mom in Home Alone. But I don't know why I feel like one of her lasting roles that she'll really be remembered for is Moira. And how amazing is that? Far be it for me. Fifteen years in the making. Yeah. To have like the high of your career. That you're going to like the thing people remember you for is the last thing you did. Love Moira. Love Moira. This is so, so sad. Yeah. Um, and then you know, if you ask her what her favorite role is, you know what she says. Being a mom. Oh, that was like someone like us. Like a TMZ person. Like a airport. Yeah, like an airport. Nothing. They were like, what's the role would you want to be remembered for? And she was like being a mom. That's my humble queen right there. I love her. That's our matriarch. Literally. There's that. They're all in the Patriarch. And like I feel like everyone was turning out with their tributes. Like this is a person who deeply affected like, you know, all of her peers. Yeah. So sad. Yeah. And put them on notice. Like that level of town. Join me up here. Yeah. She has raised the bar. She's like, is an exercise in perfection, like in brilliance. It is bar none like the greatest comedy performance delivered on TV in the last 20 years. Yeah. Like it's insane. And I just know when they like created the character of Moira, like she was this one thing on paper. And what she ended up becoming was what Catherine or her like that wasn't what they envisioned. No. She just took this role and made it nutty. Like she was probably this like very like out of touch. Yes. Woman living in a motel with wigs. But like what she ended up being like was not like Catherine or how recreated the character. She took her on the template. Yeah. We never seen a character like that. Never. I'm sure we'll see a bunch of copies going forward. I think it's time to watch it's cricket again. It's always a good time. It is. But we've got a lot on our contemplate. We're so busy. We're so caught up on the real housewives like hello. Yeah. We'll get to it. I think it's like Kim Kardashian is secretly dating F1 star Lewis Hamilton reports say they spent a romantic weekend together in the UK. Did you feel like everyone's like dating those Hamilton? Yeah. It's like what you do when you want to date someone. Yeah. It's just kind of like it's like a appropriate. Yeah. I find the whole thing very uninspired. Yeah. It's like when she was rumored to be dating Obed Obedo Beckham, Jr. Yeah. I don't know. This kind of reminds me of like when Tom Brady broke up with Giselle and he like dated I ran a shake. It's just like so obvious, so uninspired. Okay. You're dating like the most richest famous athlete, Kim? Cool. Yeah. Like at least what she did to P. Davidson was interesting. It was different. Yeah. I agree. I also, I was like, I just kind of like don't, like F1 is a blind spot for me. But who is Hamilton is everywhere. Yeah. And he's just everywhere. I just didn't see it. It's like a good match. I don't know anything about Lewis. I'm just like not getting the vibes that this is going to be the one. And they've been photographed together a number of times. Like they're both like fashion. They run in like similar circles, fancy ones. So what it was like a friends to lovers. I kind of like don't think it's real. I don't know her jet like literally was in the UK. Okay. It's always there. It's always everywhere. And his was like, you know what I mean? I don't know. Like when did she really date Odell? Yeah. She dated Odell. Mm-hmm. But then she said on Chloe and Wonderland, she hasn't been on date in a year. Odell was more than a year ago. Like she hadn't gone on date with Lewis by the time she went on. Maybe they recorded that like two months ago. Yeah, for sure. So this is very new. Um, did we make a story like totally random about the Devil Wars product to trailer? No. I want to talk about it really quickly. Yeah, this would be a good time. It's fashion news. And when we said the UK, I just don't know why I like thought of the Devil's product. Um, so the premise of the movie is bothering me. I don't know what I thought it was going to be, but I have like a better premise of what it should be. And he returns to runway to be like the head of their features department. Okay. Which I just don't love. Like she was so different. Like, but like features, it's not just like fashion, it's you know, writing. I don't know why I just wrote that. Andy was going to return. Um, and be doing like a feature like she's like a big writer at like Vanity Fair. Like she would be covering just like shadow Miranda for a month. And like write a piece better. So she becomes like her assistant again. Like travels everywhere. Oh, that's funny. And like I just thought my idea was better. So I think they should redo it. That is funny. Like her working at Runways just like not believable. It's just like they're trying to redo the same thing. She's out of place. And you know what I mean? It's just like a little copy and paste. I mean, I have to see it, of course. But sometimes copy and pieces good. Like, don't work. Don't fuck with it. But so far, I just I like coming back like in a big role. That's like, you know, a brainy role for a brainy girl. And she was just so judgmental. Like I'm sorry, they don't write like brainy pieces at those types of magazines. But they think they do. Like having a boyfriend is embarrassing. Like that's like the lot of like that features. That was like a big thing. Like that was the last piece. Like that's only the end comes to mind when they think of like literary pieces from Vogue that like. Shape, shape culture or like people talk about. Yeah. And the butt crack coming back. That's what I mean. So like I don't think Andy's like writing that. Yeah. Well, it's exciting. You are excited. I'm excited actually. So Kim and Lewis like TBD. I'm not going to like ship or really spend much time on it until like I'm seeing more tangible things. I just feel like it's obvious and uninspired. And maybe not even true. It's giving not even true. It's giving like show man's. Oh, okay. She needs a little something. She doesn't need something. And that's an easy. That's a no brainer. It's like a fuzzy couple. Yeah. Are you ready for our next story? Yeah, I just feel like it's like, oh, I need press like Lewis Hamilton. Yeah. Yeah. And the fine fair. We're talking about it. Right. But I'm just like not going to get emotionally mess it in any way. Negative or positive. Our next story is brought to you by hers. Our next story is major news today's Groundhog's Day and Pucks to Tony Phil has predicted six more weeks of winter as opposed to I don't know. I just feel like punks to Tony Phil is so not intuitive or smart. And I think obviously like take a look at the ice storm. I'm so free. It's 30 degrees in Florida. So I feel like he just it's like duh. Good job. And it's like is six weeks of winter the lesser one or the more one? You know, what's the opposite? The opposite is like spring begins today. So he chose the bad one. Yeah, it is. He always chooses the bad. Obviously, it's like forever. I feel like when we were younger, I really like had more of a stake in what Pucks to Tony Phil had to say. I mean, I thought it was like Bible. I was like, oh my god, God is listening. And then it's going to be cool. He saw he shot. When I saw that like he, you know, when I was a kid and I saw that it was six more weeks of winter, I was like crouched. I thought it actually affected the weather. No, I thought he was really an oracle. Like he knew. Right. But I just want to say like I love Groundhogs Day. I think we don't have a lot of traditions like this. Yeah. That we do just cause. And like February 2nd to me will always be Groundhogs Day. I agree. It's like a beautiful story tradition passed down from generation to generation. And I like that it's like this dumb thing that we all still continue to do. It's something you think like with PETA or whatever like we would have been done with. It's nice to have like moronic traditions that we all talk about. Like sort of like very, just like nonsense. Nonsense. Like a political jargon that we can all just agree on. Yeah, Phil put out a statement. He said, Phil says it's great to be back on the job. This is a super bowl season. Lots of responsibility. Lots of attention. And absolutely no room for mistakes. He takes. He's sponsored by Ace Hardware. That's a great partnership. He takes pride in being Ace Hardware's most reliable seasonal employee, mostly because he never calls in sick. Well, it's not hard to call him sick when you work one day a year. And I don't think he's the most reliable hardware employee at Ace Hardware because he's always wrong. So him predicting six more weeks of winter is actually good news. Like we're almost done you guys. Yeah, he's always wrong. And he's also a father. So I guess that's why he knows. I feel like he's always seeing his shadow. We need to get a list of what and maybe call me dumb, but don't use your shadow when the sun's out. Well, that's the point. If it's sunny and he saw he shadow, then maybe it's coming. Then maybe like if there's no sun, let's ask Chad. If you see your shadow, that means the sun is out, right? Meaning it's warm and wind. So maybe he didn't see. I don't know if he saw his shadow. Oh, you said he saw a shadow. Did I say that? I said six more weeks of winter. Oh, okay. So maybe what is the rationale behind. No, that's not the right question. And the groundhuxing. What is the method? Fashion outfield. Okay. It's a funny little mix of old European. Oh, here she goes. And she goes. And all psychology plus a dash of pageantry. The basic idea. If he sees his shadow six more weeks of winter. Doesn't see his shadow. It's early spring. Okay, so that makes no sense because you don't see your shadow. That means the sun's on out. Yeah, it has to do with February 2nd is candle. So Christian holiday that falls about halfway between the religious holiday and the spring. We should have taken off. I didn't realize it was a religious holiday. People believe, okay, because February 2nd is exactly between the winter solstice and the spring and equinox, you know, winter and spring. People believe that the weather on this day can predict how long winter will last. So I guess it's all like all like, woo, like there's a little. Here's a rhyme from back in the day. If candle mist be fair and bright, winter will have another light. Flight. If candle mist brings clouds and rain, winter is gone and will not come again. It's like an old wives tale. Sunny day equals more winter, cloudy day equals spring is near. Okay. It is. That's cute. Yeah. I'm glad we did that. Me too. Because I had no idea what we were doing. Congrats Phil. Congrats. You know what to sleep. You crushed it today. Things you did. That. You can bring home the bacon for your family. It's a beautiful thing. Yeah. Fifth and final story. Oh, I cannot wait to talk about this. Leading into more housewives discussion. But the original Roni cast has defected from Bravo with the new show for a rival network, which is E, which is all over the. Not really rival because it's all. It's a parry company. But I guess they are considered competitors of one another. Yeah. So the original cast of Bravo's beloved real house in New York City have packed up their Pino and defected to E. Sources say that Luanne, Sonia, Jill, Zaryn, Kelly, Ben, Simone, and Ramona singer have signed a deal with E and expect to have a new show on the air by the end of the year. I just adore this. You want to know why it's like I respect that Bravo wanted to reboot Roni. Like maybe I think that there was an they got to an inflection point with a lot of the franchises where like these OGs who were beloved, like it wasn't working and they tried something new with Rody and it didn't work. They kind of refused to like admit that and revert or do something else. They're just like kind of digging their heels in. And there is so much demand for these women. Like I feel like they're living new interesting lives. A lot of them have moved. I feel like a lot of them actually live in Florida. Maybe this show is going to be based in Florida. Like all the women that were named for this show. So you does the man does. Jill does. Yeah. So like there's so much demand for them. They're beloved. I feel like Bravo gives them like, you know, peanuts, like they bring them to Bravo con and like maybe they can do something. Like they bring them to Bravo con and like maybe they can go on watch Robins live every now and then. But there is a demand for it. And so the fact that they didn't just like wait for Bravo. I kind of love this. And it's like I really actually hope the show is successful because these these women should have been picked back up a while ago. Like they're all like living together. Like the show is happening. They get together all the cameras up. Yeah, it seems like a no brainer. They live in the same area. I like hate that Bravo wouldn't do it. And they just sort of, you know, ultimate girls. It's not enough and it's not sustainable. And there should be a show for these women. And I'm really curious if it's going to be successful because there is such demand for and there's more demand for them than there is for the new legacy. Roni. Yeah. I can't imagine that if they just went back to Roni with like the same old drugs. If it would be worse ratings than what they're doing now, there's no way. No, but they does not on it. They turned it. The women that they named don't live in New York. So it wouldn't be Roni even if Bravo did pick it up during this on. And she doesn't live in Florida. These are all just women who live here. It's kind of real house as a Florida. Sort of. And look at members only. Like it was very popular. There is like an interesting scene down here for older women. Yeah, I wonder like what they'll call how they'll bill it. Yeah. And especially not using like Bravo terminology. But it's something about like OGs. Yeah. OGs in the. And Bethany's noticeably absent even though she does also live down in Florida. But she put out a video with her thoughts on the show. She loves it. Yeah. But like she should be on it. Yeah. Maybe let's see how it goes. Maybe she wouldn't. But it's popular enough. She would do it. I'm excited to watch it. Me too. Yeah. I feel like Durinda's vomiting. Because like any chance that she had. She's going to move. She's going to like relocate Bluestone Manor. Because any chance she had of getting back to Bravo, which we know she wants, was if they throw in the towel already with Roni. But now all the women are doing something else. Yeah. Maybe she'll move. She should fly down. Do like a little, you know, a seasonal. A cameo. A apartment. Yeah. I'm excited. Well Beverly Hills Housewives is kind of one of the remaining franchises that never had like a full reboot. But still has OGs and they've really done it quite well. I was thinking that last night. It's actually amazing how Kyle Richards like, you know, some seasons I like her sometimes I don't. But like she really is a great housewife and she's the only OG who doesn't feel like this hang her on her. Yeah. Like let them out. Go. Um, this season is fantastic. And I'm happy to admit I was definitely wrong about Rachel. So good. I was going to ask you. I thought she wouldn't like join it. You know, it's a little bit like you debased yourself a little bit on house. As you do have to be like embarrassing and restaurants, right? Mm-hmm. And I thought for sure like she wouldn't be down to clown. But I feel like she is clowning. She's having like snarky. I so far, I'm really enjoying her. And she herself. She's just, you know, she's interesting as a person. And I didn't realize it was going to coincide with her divorce. And that you would be sharing so much. And I was wrong about her. Her home is beautiful. Like I love her house. Her style. So interesting. I want to see more of her house. She's so interesting to look at when she was at the vintage. Yes. Just like trying on little prop Chanel jacket left and right. Like it was such a pleasure to watch her hair is beautiful. She's very simple. Like that's what we need. Yeah. I really am enjoying her. And then she goes and just like, you know, talk shit. Yeah. No, and it's not like she's shying away, which I really appreciate. But she's not like debasing herself or putting on or like doing something that she thinks the audience wants to see because she needs to be on the show. Like she's just being herself. And I feel like that's where like the women of Beverly Hills thrive. Like Kathy Hilton doesn't need to be on the show. She doesn't going to do anything. But everyone meets her where she's at. Yeah. She's just going to be herself and we're going to enjoy it. And she also adds to the fodder. It's been really, really great. And I love that she's like gotten close with a lot of the girls already. She loves to read, likes to read, like she fits right in. Right. And she doesn't feel like a new girl, which is great. And I think I actually feel bad for Amanda. And I don't think she should have been cast on this show. I actually think it was like, like a mean thing to do because everyone who comes into the group is more or less an extension of someone. I don't remember how they introduced her, but she bought a file for us. Right. They, friends. Yeah. And she's so out of her league. Like she really reminds me a lot of Whitney Rose from Salt Lake City, just in like how she dresses and how she talks. And you know, Beverly Hills is like the crown jewel of the franchise. They get really affluent women, really famous women. You know, even that random girl who keeps showing up was Marriott's Simon Cowell. Like, it's just, wait what? She was Marriott's Simon Foller. Oh wait, who's that? Like Simon Cowell. Oh, wait. She was Marriott's, I keep talking about him. She was Marriott's Simon Foller. Who's he's also like an executive? I think he also produced American Idol. There were two Simon's. Oh, my bad. Okay. But it's like the same thing. Okay, sorry. But like, that's what I mean. It's a real upper echelon. I mean, you know, you think of some crystal cung, Minkoff. They keep referring to her because like literally I mean, it's just me getting. I'm sorry. Her husband is like a huge deal. So she's so out of her league with her fake business. That's quite literally an MLM. And she's like social media, social media. I went to her and she gets 700 likes and she has 500,000 followers. Like it's a scam. Like the whole thing, there will be a documentary on it. How does she have that? How many? I don't know. I do believe she has a successful scammer so far, like with her courses. So it's like with her, she just wears a cross body bags and body condresses. Like it's giving Salt Lake City. And I don't mean that in a negative way. It's just a different tier of wealth and how people dress. So she was never going to make it. And her personality sucks. Yeah, her personality thinks what's funny is I actually didn't even see her that way because she so doesn't see herself that way. I think she thinks she's on a different level from these women where she's like more enlightened. She ain't. And like when she's like saying we made beautiful choices with the house. Like she's just like it's very put off. And even the house like she's like the mirror that everyone has. She's just like a chugie millennial. Yeah, it is very millennial. And like this with the women in this group are a bit older and they don't speak millennial jargon, you know, you've violated it. It's like very, when she's like when Kyle said it's giving crystal like she was right, you know, being so sensitive. Yeah. And like you can't even have a confrontation because like immediately, oh, you've verbally had a cost. But even with the, like even outside of her presence on the show as like an instigator or like a housewife, just her being selected was wrong. And I feel like she came in so insecure who wouldn't like Rachel's out in coming in secure. Kathy Hilton didn't come in and secure getting insecure. Oh, I was like just like the way she kept talking about her bags and the one uping. That's like an insecure thing because she's so out of her league. So I really did feel bad for her. And I don't even dislike her so much as much as I really feel bad for her because it's mean that they cast her on the show. Sorry, it is. And she's clearly dealing with this terrible thing that happened to her. And there's no right and boze is right and boze is saying the thing that everyone's thinking. It's like, you know, you can't use something difficult that you went through as a defense in a fight. Like, but that's exactly what she's doing. It's very amateur. It's very immature. I don't even dislike her. I feel really bad for her. And what she did to read in that conversation was so wrong because if you are that fragile, you were talking with your husband doing glam preparing for a conversation. So you just sort of threw it as a defense and there's nothing anyone can say. And it's just sort of like a conversation. And her. And I feel bad for her because it's so horrible. It's so horrible. And there's no right way to deal with it. She's doing it the wrong way. But there is no right way to, you shouldn't have come. She shouldn't have come. But then she was saying like her husband said she should be amongst friends. And I agree with that. But these aren't her friends. These are her coworkers. It's a work event. We're here to sit at a table and argue. If you're not in a position to do that, which you're not in, you shouldn't understand. And that's understandable. And like nobody blames you then it then yeah, I guess be at home. But I was disappointed in her to read the cheat and just immediately drop it. Of course. And there is nothing you can say. I heard you said. I'm in to did then continue. But she never shut up. So I didn't get that until this most recent episode. They played like a replay that where it did seem different where she like said she continued on. She said. And she didn't even think to read it. But before that, Doreed had brought it back. Yeah. It didn't happen. But it's an impossible situation for Doreed. I don't even think Doreed handled it wrong or whatever. It was so weird. Yeah. I felt so bad. It was just awful. She's not built for this life. I really feel like she thinks that she is. She is. In her own way. Like she has her boundaries and she wants to bring them to this group of women. Good luck. Housewives are not good with boundaries. Like that's the point of the show. She was in the car rolling calls with Rachel Zohan, Erica. Yeah. That was really, really cringe. Yeah. And I have to say something about Erica. And I only came to this realization recently because she was always like glamazon, right? She brought her glam team everywhere. She really upped the game for a lot of the women. And it was easy to do that. It's easy to have like amazing glam, amazing hair, amazing style when you have unlimited money. And she's had this enormous fall from grace in terms of like her finances and she lives in this little house. And it's such a testament to her true sense of style and taste. Like she has not faltered in her looks one bit. She's maybe wearing like less designers, but like who even knows? She is so glamorous. She so kills it with her style. And I feel like it's a real testament because a lot of these women are like, it's not hard. Anyone can buy good style style, style, style, makeup. But you can tell like she's so invested in her and she's really, she just crushes it. I feel like she doesn't get enough credit for like she didn't miss a beat moving from the big house to the little house. Like with the glam, she always showed up. Yeah. I love that. Yeah. And I feel like she's got both sides of Doreed and Kyle. And it's clear that she's closer with Kyle. And I don't know if Doreed knows that. Oh, you think so. Because Kyle's the only one who knew about her boyfriend. I felt like last season she plays those sides, but I felt like she was more sympathetic and closer to Doree, but like she is not going there. And so that's just how I feel like she is more with Doree. No, I think she's more with Kyle. I'm going to be able to make. Kyle's like doing the same thing she did last season with like the PK thing memes and jokes. Like still defending him will be. Maybe he isn't. Yeah. But so they also feel like the one bit that they shared that like Mo said that Doreed won't let PK see the kids. And they're saying, oh, that's not what Doreed said. To me, that jives exactly with what Doreed said. He can't see the kids at these times that he wants because that doesn't work for their schedule. Do we go see the thing for six weeks? The only thing that could be more disruptive to their lives is if their lives are disrupted even more like 1000%. 1000%. I think they're both saying the same thing. The truth. You just want to come because you've been gone for six weeks. Like, no, you can't see them. So she is allowed to say that. And yeah, you're not allowed to see my kids. Well, maybe if you were home. Yeah. No, you can't see them during the school day. You can't see them during their afterswas. You know, Phoenix is an amazing ballerina. She was making me cry when she was trying to have Jaggers just like this. But I walked around with the weight of the world on his shoulders. Oh, it was. And then Kyle's like, maybe he does, maybe he doesn't. Like Kyle's so not a girls girl. And I feel like when you get to, I feel like Kyle is so hung up on Mauricio. And Mauricio was obviously team PK. And so like Kyle just like wants to be in Mauricio's good grace. And I mean, like to be said, like, and it's just so lame. It's so not cool. Like girls, I'm not even a girls girl. But like when a girl is getting divorced, I keep saying girls. They're these 50 year old women. When a woman's getting divorced, like, and you can tell on a man, like she's saying, very much like Roger. Like, lips, like the guy you knew is no longer there. That's so what's happening with PK is clearly having a middle of crisis. He's making out with young women in the street. I mean, he's not paying the mortgage. That's not like the side that you're going to be like, I don't have to even know the grades. And when Doreet said he could come and oh, the kids are going here and he hasn't seen them in weeks. I don't have to know all the ins and outs to know that like Doreet's the one taking care of obviously. And it's going to do what's in the kids best interest. And how wonderful that she has her parents still. Like I've, when I was seeing that, I was like, that's so amazing. And that, and that I was getting like so emotional. And Jagger was like not even yearning for his father, but yearning for Doreet's father. Yeah, she's the bad parent. Right. Please, I just like Kyle's really pissing me off. Yeah, I still ship and read in Mo. Of course, I'm so glad Bose let it go. But in the first couple of episodes when she was like, how ending Kyle to like talk about why she's not dating, it's like, I actually don't care. I am. You're being like a little like a badger. Bose is my favorite housewife on this show. She's the only one. So her commissionals are hysterical. I love her friend's summer. Like, yeah, bring your random friend's summer everywhere. I love it. I love it. I love it. Sag was watching me. He's like, who's that? I'm like, it's summer. What do you mean it's summer? Like, whenever one brings a friend, it's like, for your husband. Yeah. I love it. I love it. And her story was really crazy as she lost custody of her kids for two years because she had an evil husband who was a lawyer. Yeah. So you know what, yes, actually, come summer. Yeah. And like summer's at the birthday dinner. Good. And I was thinking whenever one's at the birthday dinner, these women are actually getting along so well. There's tension between Jareena and Kyle's share, but like they have history and their friends and whatever. And it's like, if it weren't for Amanda, this would just be a group of women having the best time. Yeah. So a character like Amanda is kind of a necessary, but I feel really sad for her. Like she makes me butt clench and cringe, of course, Yadayata, but she's so out of her depth and she's, I feel like she's been aware of it since that's why she's like stunted on the phone with the calls and showing up. Oh, my back, my back, Chanel. Like oh, that's so funny. I didn't reach me like that. I felt like she's very confident, very affected and like pomp is almost. Oh, no. And not in a way that's so insecure. Oh, maybe it all stems from that. The toughest group of women and it takes someone like Rachel's own just to come in as an equal is a peer. She's not and she's younger. Like, it's just all of it. But she's living in Kyle's house and Kyle was on the show for 10 years. I was stating that was really sad to watch Kyle get emotional over the house, which it was very emotional like those were the happiest years. Of course. And you know what I know it sounded crazy, but I kind of hear her like if they didn't move out of that house because that is like sort of when things started to break down and they were in this like new league. Like it was always cool how like they had increasingly more and more money every season and they never left that house. It was like their family home. It was very grounding. It was a very happy house. Yeah, I kind of think maybe they wouldn't have ended up where they ended up. What was also sad to me is like Mauricio is so moved on. And he was so unaffected by the house. And like when she's crying and we all know why she's crying and he's like, oh because the girls are getting married. Like he's not like for a sit on the girl. He's trying to make it about like, oh, they were little and now that big, which is something that everybody goes through. You have that conversation if they were still married. That's not what it was about. He doesn't even want to go beneath that surface with her because he not that he doesn't care. But he's not there. He's not there. And that's what she was saying when they take the family trips and he's just like kind of like a wall. He's not going deep with her. I imagine it's a slippery slope. Although we did just report that over New Year's they were getting cozy and like I do desperately for Kyle's sake. Like it's very sad to watch. Even when he showed up at dinner, like she just yearns for him so obviously and like acting like they're not filing for any reason other than that. Yeah, but I also I don't feel like she's like in love with him still like she's hung up on him. It's more like that former life. Yeah, and it's like then what's next if they do divorce then what's next as opposed to just like holding on to like that life which brought her so much joy. I really liked the speed dating event. Oh, that was hysterical. And the fact that they all kept showing up in funeral outfits was making me laugh so hard. That was a really fun thing. And I want to talk about Sutton. Okay. She's tapping this like rebirth and I actually I'm down because she's like awful and I'm tabular. Like I'm good. I'm like, I forget. I really bothered me that she was like letting Amanda get to her in Sedona about Abby like the crying. It's like this. I feel like it empowered Amanda to like continue on with her annoying ways. And I really wish she like didn't but she's so emotional. Yeah. She's always crying. Yeah. I never tilly thing was interesting too. I didn't really get like when they had that final dinner at the airport and everyone was like crawling behind Sutton. I'm like, did I miss something like what does she know the support? Like someone just brought up something. I know. And she's handling like she wants people to stop talking about it and she's her behavior is just sort of making me more and more intrigued. I literally didn't care that her assistant laughed like at all. But now she's like making it to such a big deal. I'm like, okay, well, what did happen? I know. She's handling it so backwards. Like in order to like throw the centoff just be like, like lean in. But she's like, so we can't talk about it. Well, now I have to know. Yeah. It was it was odd. Yeah. But yeah, she's not like a main character of the season which is. It's been a tough life. She needs to take a back seat. Yeah. It had been a lot. Yeah. I'm going to hope my girl boasts gets pregnant by, you know, some way. Yeah. Keely. Bozen Keely. I love Boz. She's the voice of reason on the show. Yeah. And everybody loves her. And it's like you really can come into this group as a new person. And like they are like open to making new friends. And her and Boz is a new summer. They're close. Yeah. But when Boz invited Doree to lunch with Amanda, thinking like Amanda would have some good, like practical, fine, richest fuck, like have some practical, like business advice for a woman going through divorce retirement. And she's all talking about manifesting. Oh my god, I just about died. Yeah. Boz is like, okay, thanks for coming. Yeah. I don't know what the future holds for Amanda. Yeah. I don't know. I feel like she can hold her own. But it's just like the girls have really written her off already. She's not there. Cup of tea nor are they hers. And I do hear it in the same room as Rachel so like and Kathy Hilton. I agree it's a mismatch. And they're usually pretty good about casting. Why not Simon Fuller? Yeah. Well maybe the thing is everything Amanda says really is like you know about it. A polar it's like a bomb like that's so about the happy ending massage was kind of crazy. And then Boz being like you couldn't have water boarded that information out of real like obsess about it. And I don't understand it. I'll tell you what it sounds interesting. I'm sure Kazin tested them both. Just Amanda's just kind of delusional. Which is, that is a required trait for a housewife. It's true. It's a great season. I'm really enjoying. Ben is obsessed. He's a tweet more episodes. He is hooked. And I love Rachel's out, talking shit about him and all of her competitors. It's very OG housewives. No one wants to be seen as a mean girl anymore so they don't do it. But Rachel's just coming on as who she is. Yeah. And that's why we all watch housewives. And it's like, she said, I don't ever really talk about my accomplishments or my accolades or whatever. So Amanda, with the book, the book, the book. And then the ghost writer comment. I thought your recent retort was excellent. I almost had a lot of time. Oh, no, we didn't buy the house. I bought that house. I'm making a month what he makes in a year. Her husband watching that vomiting. Yeah. Vomiting. He didn't buy the house. I did. And Rachel's like, what did that contribute to the conversation? Does it hit your husband? Just that you're putting him down? Right. What? And you keep telling all these amazing stories about him. But all I know is that, according to you, he's some popper you pulled off the street. Yeah. It's bad. I'm watching that back. Like, take them together. Yikes. Yeah. Well, that's what housewives. That's your show, a fabulous Monday, really. I feel like a huge weight. We just did so much.
