And we'll take a little time discussing it, some of the highlights. I'm sure you've heard a lot today, but you haven't heard from me. We got three full hours and we're going to make maximum use of every second. So we are going to do a deep dive into that. But before we do, ladies and gentlemen, this is becoming absurd. This fan dance with the Islamist Nazi regime in Tehran. Our forces are in place. nobody can match nobody can match the military assets the American military assets that are in the Middle East the Islamist Nazi regime has no intention of abiding by any negotiated agreement and this has gone on long enough I've about had it with the isolationists they remind me of the hippies of the 1960s they remind me of the anti-Semites of the 1930s they have their own father Coughlin in the form of Tucker Katarlson mental midgets, bigots with their own agendas getting rich of undermining my country, our country the United States of America stabbing the commander in chief in the back repeatedly smearing the United States armed forces and making alliance with the enemy I've had enough we red blooded Americans don't believe in any of this we're not talking about forever wars We're not talking about interventionism. We're not talking about warmongering or anything else. We have an enemy. An enemy that has killed a thousand of our people. That has maimed thousands and thousands of our people. We have an enemy that wants to destroy our civilization, the entire Western civilization. We have an Islamist Nazi enemy that wants to build nuclear weapons to blow us off the face of the earth. There is no peace with an enemy like this. A genocidal mass murdering regime. And it is a betrayal of our children and our grandchildren to let this go on. to leave this enemy in place. When they build up enough technological might with the help of the communist Chinese, the fascistic Russians, the inbreds of North Korea and God knows who else. When they have tens of thousands of intercontinental ballistic missiles with nuclear warheads. Now we hear biochemical warheads. enough is enough they are weaker now than they've ever been no it doesn't mean they're weak per se but they are weaker now than they've ever been thanks to the Israeli military thanks to the support of the Israeli military by the American military they are reconstituting their nuclear program they're never going to give it up because you Mr. and Mrs. America you're the target you're the target we know it because they say it I never thought I'd live a day when a regime that tries to assassinate our president not once but thrice still exists. We're reaching a point we're reaching a point of absurdity. Any paper agreement with this enemy like any paper agreement with Hitler and the Third Reich is surrender. It is surrender. And you will have and we will have, all of us, have surrendered to a regime that has the intention of slaughtering our children and grandchildren. What will they say about us when they have to confront this enemy? You see how they slaughter babies and women and children? Life means nothing to them. Death means everything to them. There's no negotiation. There's no diplomacy. There's no envoy. There's no Secretary of State. There's no Secretary of Defense. There's no President of the United States that can persuade them otherwise. they're not going to go anywhere unless we send them to hell. Some of you may not think that this is our fight, and you're dead wrong. I understand the Jew haters who want you to believe that this is Israel's war. And to them I say, go to hell. Israel, their soldiers, their citizens have carried the weight of the world on their shoulders as they have fought this enemy. This enemy, which surrounds it. They are doing us a favor. They're doing the West a favor. They're doing civilized human beings a favor. They defend their own people, Jew, Christian, Muslim, Arab, while Europe sits on its hands. We have people in our own country that we've allowed to come into our country that are trying to destroy us from within. They have devoured the Democrat Party. They've devoured most of the media. You see their spokesman with a variety of Arab names and Muslim names. On TV, on the internet. Who throw in with the Marxists and the isolationists. Telling us. No war. No war. No war. We haven't committed acts of war against Iran. They've committed acts of war against us. the regime is an illegitimate regime. It is a terrorist organization that has taken over a country. They don't care if they kill 1,000, 10,000, 50,000, 100,000, 1 million Iranians. And do you think they give a damn if they fire a nuclear missile into the center of New York City? Or Los Angeles? Or Chicago? Or Washington? Or you name it. They don't. This is going to get worse. And even if we take out that regime, it's still going to get worse because the enemy is among us. The enemy is among us. And they tell us they're the enemy. They tell us what they're going to do to us. and the left whether it's the teachers unions or the media or the democrat party faculty at our ivy league schools they give them aid and comfort they align with them the weak underbelly of the west now it's time to speak up It's time to be heard. Enough time has gone by. Almost half a century. What are we waiting for? There is no perfect time. There is no perfect opportunity. But there are good times and good opportunities to use the advantage. Our economic advantage, our military advantage, our intelligence advantage, our technological advantage. To smite this 7th century poison. Off the face of the earth. Before they do it to us. We don't seek war. We don't seek war. We've never sought war. the enemy lives war it lives terrorism it's a death cult there's a lot of voices in this country some of them who speak broken English some of them who speak perfect English who want us to surrender through inaction, through isolationism. They tell you they oppose war. The problem isn't that. The problem is the enemy does not oppose war. The problem is the enemy is constantly preparing for war. Communist China is a war machine. Putin doesn't care if he loses 10 million of his own people. And the Islamist Nazis, they actually live to die. We've danced long enough. We've prepared long enough. Time is no longer on our side. It is enabling the enemy, the enemy, the Islamist Nazis in Iran, to get cutting-edge, sophisticated military technology capable of sinking our ships. from the communist Chinese. If we continue to wait and wait and negotiate and negotiate, which is exactly what the enemy wants us to do, our advantage diminishes with each passing day. no American no American wants to see American boys and girls and men and women die or be maimed on the battlefield in this case on our naval ships and our jets and our bombers. But we're the only nation on the face of the earth that has the full capacity to put an end to this. In defense of our children and grandchildren, in defense of our allies and friends. Look at the Iranian people. Have you ever seen a braver people? Have you ever seen a more courageous people? They're an example. And when we have people in our country who go overseas and meet with the president of Iran and meet with the Emir of Qatar and go to Saudi Arabia that attacked us on 9-11, these are traitors. These are traitors. I don't give a damn how many followers they have. How many pre-Bubescent followers they have. How many anti-Semites follow them. How many Pakistani Muslims from overseas follow them as they grift their way. History will denounce them. History will treat them like the devil that they are. The time is now. But he that stands by it now deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. That text was so influential that General George Washington ordered it to be read aloud to his weary troops on December 23, 1776. Just two days before their famous crossing of the Delaware River, and then the victory at the Battle of Trenton. That term, summer soldier, and the other term, sunshine patriot, refer to individuals who support a cause only when things are going well, and abandon it when faced with hardship or adversity. Paine argued that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. That's what he said. emphasizing that freedom has a price because of its immense value. What kind of world are we going to leave our children and grandchildren if this genocidal mass murdering regime, this primitive regime, 7th century, acquires what it seeks to acquire. ICBMs to reach our country, tipped with nuclear warheads, chemical warheads, biological warheads. They will use it. They will use them. No paper agreement is going to stop them. Peace in our time is a disaster. It's a fig leaf. We do not seek war. We are not warmongers. But we seek to protect ourselves. Self-defense. We seek to protect our families and future generations the way past generations had to go to war to protect us. President's State of the Union speech last night was, I think, the greatest State of the Union speech I've ever heard. and there have been some great ones by Reagan and so forth. And you know what really made the difference? The man. He's very charismatic. And he talks like the rest of us. Really, really fantastic. And on these core principles that he has, quite conservative. You don't have to agree with everything. It doesn't matter. Now, on this issue of Iran, the president seemed to be really focusing in like a laser here. He said this, cut 11, go. Just over the last couple of months with the protests, they've killed at least, it looks like, 32,000 protests. 32,000 protesters in their own country. They shot them and hung them. we stopped them from hanging a lot of them with the threat of serious violence but this is some terrible people they've already developed missiles that can threaten europe and our bases overseas and they're working to build missiles that will soon reach the united states of america after midnight hammer they were warned to make no future attempts to rebuild their weapons program in particular, nuclear weapons, yet they continue starting it all over. We wiped it out, and they want to start all over again, and are at this moment again pursuing their sinister ambitions. We are in negotiations with them. They want to make a deal, but we haven't heard those secret words. We will never have a nuclear weapon. Cut 12. Go. My preference is to solve this problem through diplomacy. But one thing is certain. Can't let that happen. and no nation should ever doubt america's result we have the most powerful military on earth i rebuilt the military in my first term we're going to continue to do so also we just approved a trillion dollar budget we have no choice we have to be strong because hopefully we will seldom have to use this great power that we built together it's really called peace through strength and it's been very very effective president hit on a lot of very core important subjects for the American immigration certainly being one of them. And he really did something that was very important. It wasn't a gimmick, it was very important. And that was about, do you stand with the citizens or do you stand for the illegal aliens? Which do you stand for? And the Democrats sat on their hands. Saddle their hands. Cut 13, Mr. Producer, go. If you agree with this statement, then stand up and show your support. The first duty of the American government is to protect American citizens, not illegal aliens. And they're sitting on their hands, the Democrats. This is how they view American citizens. In the budget I will present to you, we will try to do more to speed the deportation of illegal aliens who are arrested for crimes, to better identify illegal aliens in the work face as recommended by the commission headed by former Congresswoman Barbara Jordan. We are a nation of immigrants, but we are also a nation of laws. It is wrong and ultimately self-defeating for a nation of immigrants to permit the kind of abuse of our immigration laws we have seen in recent years, and we must do more to stop it. And during that State of the Union, Republicans and Democrats got to their feet out of their chairs, out of their seats, and applauded Bill Clinton. this used to be bipartisan it's clearly not anymore as the Democrat Party has sought to change the population in America they've also changed the nature of the Democrat Party if you're an American citizen you need to really think about what you just heard and what you saw last night the Democrats do not believe that the first responsibility of government is to protect the American citizen. Ladies and gentlemen, the only reason, the only reason, as John Locke would explain, that we have voluntarily joined into this government is so it represents us, Mr. and Mrs. America, the American citizen. They're trying to carry forward the president's agenda. Johnson has to be a psychiatrist on top of everything else to deal with some of the whack jobs he has there. And Thun has to deal with the filibuster. So it's not easy. But let's go to Schumer here on the morning schmo. Cut one. Go. Well, we had a good model in 2013, as you may remember, bipartisan. John McCain and I headed the Gang of Eight. We had four Democrats, four Republicans, including Marco Rubio. Yes, they had the Gang of Eight, which you and I stopped. Remember? No other show. We stopped it. You and I. We flooded the phones because it was a disaster. And I think later Marco Rubio realized it. the 2013 bill, they always go back, we had the 2013 bill, or we should pass bipartisan bill. Ladies and gentlemen, our laws are perfectly fine. They will not uphold them. If you review them yourselves, as I have, I'm no immigration expert, but I feel like I've become one in some respects. My wife is, among other things, smart as hell. there's a lot of reasons to deport people, including the fact that they came here illegally. That's the number one reason. The Democrats don't want to do that. They want it limited to people who have committed additional crimes, if that. If that. So we don't need an immigration reform bill that's 13 years old and dusted off. The problem here, you know, there's a word out there. a word out there that's as old as Socrates, a word out there that Aristotle wrote about a lot, the Athenians, a word out there that Cicero wrote a lot about, the Romans, a word out there that your founding fathers talked about and wrote about a lot All the founding fathers whose names you know spoke about virtue Virtue. You can write whatever law you want. It's the same thing with a deal with the Islamo-Nazi regime in Tehran. There is no virtue. If you have no virtue, the paper means nothing. The laws mean nothing. The rules mean nothing. And for Schumer and the Democrats, the rules and the law mean nothing. It's a tool to try and destroy your opponents like they spent years trying to destroy Donald Trump. Years. But they throw it out there. If we just went back to the bipartisan bill in 2013, They would have violated that too. It's never enough. It's revolution by immigration. And by that I mean the Democrat Party wants power. And a lot of it. Cut to, Mr. Producer, go. So you didn't stand Democrats? It's not that Trump who shouldn't. Yeah. What did you think when you asked him to stand? Bottom line is very simple. We agree we need to protect Americans. He's not. By his reckless ICE agency in Minnesota, two Americans were killed. Listen to this mumbling buffoon. Go ahead. ...beaten. Americans' houses, the doors are being knocked down, you know, without a warrant. Okay, name all the people whose doors are being knocked down American houses, as he puts it, without a warrant. Go ahead. Go ahead. in america run by americans uh has has done what ice has done so yes we want to protect americans okay that's enough by the way i didn't mean to put it that way to you rich i meant him go ahead so another phony and a fraud guy has no virtue whatsoever none he's on cnn today about voter id Cut four, go. Look, Democrats support voter ID, and many states do, but that's not what the Save Act does. We have about 11 Democrat states that have no verification of citizenship whatsoever, including his state of New York. Go ahead. Tens of millions Americans from the voting lists, and they won't even know they're purged until they show up at the polling place. Where's he getting this from? They want the polling, the voting lists cleaned, which is a matter of federal law right now. To get Ted people off, people who have moved, and so forth and so on. This story just broke about 15 minutes ago. Susie Wiles' phone records during federal Trump investigation. Actually, a little earlier, but. The FBI subpoenaed Kash Patel and Susie Wiles' phone records in 2022 and 2023 when both were private citizens, writes Fox. as part of a federal probe into then-former President Donald Trump, Fox News has confirmed. All right, so they're going after Trump, and then they go after Patel, and they go after Susie Wiles. Patel's the current FBI director. Obviously, Wiles is the White House chief of staff. At least 10 FBI employees were fired Wednesday. Good. Fire their asses. Fox News has been told names were not given due to privacy reasons. Reuters first disclosed the subpoenas, which were issued during the Biden regime, while special counsel Jack Smith was investigating Trump's efforts, quote unquote, to overturn the 2020 election. They shouldn't be writing this. They know better than this. We've had challenges to the two elections as long as we've had elections, ladies and gentlemen. To overturn. The 2020 election. the president wasn't trying to overturn the 2020 election he was challenging the vote count Smith ended up charging Trump in 2023 with multiple felony offenses related to alleged efforts to challenge the results of the 2020 election and Trump's handling of the documents after he left the federal judge later dismissed the election interference case that would be the great Judge Cannon. The president had great lawyers. They also had great support through a friend of the court briefs filed by Landmark Legal Foundation. I'm so proud of them because I spent a good chunk of my life there. And the number one expert in the world on the appointments clause. and also a brief filed by really a brilliant man, a professor I believe at Northwestern Law School but he was a colleague of mine when I worked at the Department of Justice, Stephen Calabrese and he and another professor wrote the brief and argued it as well that Jack Smith was an unconstitutional appointment. Now we had a lot of firepower, so you had the smartest and the number one guy in the world who was working for us. You had one of the smartest people I've ever known, Professor Calabrese, who was challenging it, and then you had the president's lawyers who were challenging it. It really wasn't not a hard case, but she had to be brave, did the judge, because you know how the coyotes, the howling coyotes are in the media in the Democrat Party. in a statement to Fox News Wednesday Patel called the move to seize the phone records outrageous and deeply alarming you see ladies and gentlemen the Democrats like to talk about authoritarianism and fascism and dictatorships but they're projecting because that's what their party is that's what their party has always been slavery, segregation, eugenics Jim Crow I love him when the Democrats are talking about Jim Crow. They're pointing a finger at themselves. They're so sleazy. It is outrageous and deeply alarming that the previous FBI leadership secretly subpoenaed my own phone records, along with those of now White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, using flimsy pretexts and burying the entire process in prohibited case files designed to evade all oversight, he said, Now you won't hear a single Democrat criticize that. Instead, they'll talk about ISIS knocking down doors and doing it when they're not. The FBI had found the phone records in the files labeled prohibited, Reuters reported. Patel also said he recently ended the FBI's ability to categorize files as prohibited. Fox News also learned from two FBI officials that in 2023, FBI agents recorded a phone call between Wiles and her attorney. Now, ladies and gentlemen, you do that with the mafia or a tyrant. You don't do that with somebody like this. So they recorded a phone call between Susie Wiles and her attorney. Susie Wiles wasn't aware of that. Now, what else do we know? This same Department of Justice, under this same director of the FBI, did what? Subpoenaed the phone records of members of Congress, all Republicans, at the direction of Jack Smith. At the direction of Jack Smith. So they went after the phone records of members of Congress, none of whom committed a crime. they went after the phone records of Kash Patel and Susie Wiles and taped or listened into a discussion between her and her attorney. Now her attorney may have known about it but she didn't and that's the issue. The rights belong to her. They sent a SWAT team to President Trump's home in Mar-a-Lago. Remember all that? Communist China is providing some of these advanced weapons to Iran, and Gordon has been posting that we've got to take that regime out, right, Gordon? How are you? I'm fine, Mark, and you're absolutely right. What we're seeing is China is supplying hypersonic anti-ship cruise missiles, and that's important because we have a large portion of our fleet in waters off Iran. including two aircraft carriers, the Gerald Ford and the Abraham Lincoln. But China's also been supplying advanced radars and probably integrated command systems as well, as well as some anti-air missiles. So there's a whole range of Chinese weaponry that the Iranians now have or will soon have, and especially those hypersonic missiles. so the longer we wait to me the more damage the potential damage to our forces no absolutely these hypersonic cruise missiles haven't been used in war and we don't know if they work we also don't know if our defenses work so if we're going to strike and i believe we absolutely have to to take out the regime we need to do it before china is able to put those hypersonic missiles in place, because we could lose an aircraft carrier. We could lose two aircraft carriers, and the damage could be grave. And it's important to understand that China wants us to lose. They want to destroy our carriers, and they're doing it through Iran. Isn't that another reason to take out Iran before it has 20,000 ballistic missiles and ICBMs that can hit the United States? They're testing them now. and nuclear warheads, chemical warheads, biological warheads, which they're working on? Yes. I mean, Iran has a nuclear weapons program only because of China. China supplied the enrichment technology through the Pakistan's AQ Khan network. Also, China's been supplying materials necessary for nukes directly to Iran. And this has been going on for quite some time. and a number of American presidents going back to George W. Bush have actually allowed this to continue. Actually, I should say back through Clinton have allowed this to continue. So Iran is dangerous, but Iran is dangerous because China has made it so. And by the way, of course, Russia would not be fighting in Ukraine today were it not for the all in Chinese support. Now, let me ask you this question. if we're just showing biceps, walking around without our shirts, showing we're tough, we have like 35% of our Navy there, all this, you know, the Air Force is there, our best jets are there, our bombers are not too far away, and on and on and on. And we signed some Obama-lite agreement. Well, we promise, do the Islamo-Nazis, we promise we won't go above 3.67%, and we won't do this and we won't do that. Why is that absurd? It's absurd because we know that the Iranians have violated every single agreement they signed, including the 2015 JCPOA, the Iran nuke deal that Obama put in place. And President Trump, to his great credit in his first term, said, look, I'm not going to stick with a deal which the Iranians have violated. They violated the deal by preventing inspections, for instance, And we know that the Israelis, through their raid on the Parchin facility, took out some material that indicated further violations on the part of Tehran. They violate every single commitment that they make, Mark. So when are we going to wise up? But isn't that what terrorists do? And isn't that what Islamists do as a matter of religious edict? I mean, it's all right in front of us, isn't it? It's all right in front of us. And it's also the Chinese who violate all of their agreements as well. So we've got basically Iran as a proxy for China. Iran would not have been able to strike Israel on October 7th, 2023, were it not for the Chinese support. And we also know that Iran's three main proxies, Hamas, Houthi militias and Hezbollah, they all had large quantities of Chinese weapons. So this is a very thick relationship among Iran, China and those three terrorist groups. Isn't China also providing them, I think it's with the fuel for this massive effort to build a massive number of ballistic missiles? Yes, they're supplying a particular one of the components that is absolutely necessary for ballistic missile fuel. And China's been quite open about it. So we know that the defiance is there. and unless we do something about it, the Chinese will continue to supply all sorts of material, not only for their ballistic missiles, but for their nuclear weapons, and as we just discussed, for their conventional armory. While we're on this, Communist China, is there any new news about, you know, Xi taking out his number one general and so forth? It seems to me that maybe there was a coup effort, but it has gotten absolutely nowhere. Yeah, there's very little news. And the reason is that China is just emerging from its basically week long, but it's actually longer than that, spring festival. So very little happens in China during that particular week. The hell is that? It's what we call Lunar New Year, what the Chinese call Chinese New Year. But it is a time when China basically for a week, maybe two weeks, just goes completely dark. And so there hasn't been much news. But there have been a lot of rumors that have been circulating around China recently. And one of them is after taking out that number one general, Zhang Yashiao, with that investigation that was announced on January 24th, there are now rumors. And they're just not rumors. I mean, they haven't been confirmed that General Zhang is no longer in the land of the living. Really? There have been all sorts of rumors. There have been all sorts of rumors, Mark, over the last month about senior officials, both civilian and military, being executed. We don't know the truth of them, but we know that something is up, because when these rumors circulate, it means people are trying to destabilize Xi Jinping's regime. All right. I want to pursue this a little bit more with you, Gordon. I mean, he's taken out a lot of generals, Xi has, and he's gone beyond that. He's gone deeper than that. And he does it under this notion of corruption and, you know, and people being traitors and he does this, what, to send messages, among other things, that he's untouchable, that he's all-powerful? That's the message that he wants people to understand, but it's actually not the message that I take away. You know, as I mentioned, he got rid of two generals. It was announced on January 24th, and people said, well, Xi Jinping is now in absolute control of the military because he got rid of the most powerful person in the military. But that's not what I see. Xi Jinping for more than a decade has been removing flag officers, generals and admirals. Now, if he were in control of the military, why would he have to continue to get rid of people? I mean, he's gotten rid of people that he's put in place. And I think it's because the military has now made it very clear to Xi Jinping that they have a mind of their own, and Xi Jinping is absolutely determined to get them to submit. But when you have all this turmoil, it means he does not control the military. So how does this play out? First of all, in the very short term, it means China is far less dangerous. And the reason is that on the Central Military Commission of the Communist Party, which controls the military, there used to be seven people. Now there are only two. There's Xi Jinping himself, who's not a military officer, and there's a general who is a political commissar. In other words, he's not a warfighter. And that's it. And this means that the chain of command has been severed for the first time in the history of the People's Republic, and you can't launch an invasion with a severed chain of command. But in the intermediate term, Mark, this makes China extremely dangerous because Xi Jinping is now getting rid of all people he doesn't like. He's finding compliant officers, and these compliant officers will go out and invade Taiwan if he tells them to do that. The general that he removed on January 24th was telling him, do not invade Taiwan. China is not ready. So I'm afraid that Xi Jinping is now getting to the point where he's elevating people who owe everything to him. And I'm afraid that they might actually do what he wants them to do, which would be to start World War Three. All right. Well, let me see if I understand this. But if he starts World War Three, you're saying they're incapacitated to some extent because of the chain of command and the experience level, right? That's right. There are no war fighters who are left. And we don't know the quality of the officers that he will promote. Now, hopefully the officers he promotes will resist this, but I'm not sure. They don't want to die. They don't want to die. One other thing, and that is it's not just a question of Xi Jinping waking up some morning and saying we're invading Taiwan. It's Xi Jinping blundering into war, and that can happen at any moment because he is provoking Japan and the Philippines and Taiwan and others. And if one of those incidents goes bad, I don't think that he'll be able to control it. He can't act constructively. He can't de-escalate, which means that China could get itself into a war. And if it's not prepared, it could be a disaster. And if it's a disaster for China, he will be tempted to use his nuclear weapons, which means we could have the world's first nuclear exchange over a basically a blunder. And he seems to really be going at it with Japan And their prime minister, a woman who seems to be very strong Seems to be resisting that Is Japan building up its military? It is, it's building it up slowly But Sanai Takeichi is standing up to China She cut Xi Jinping down to size Because on November 7th she gave an answer on the floor of the Diet that angered China But instead of backing down like most Western leaders would do, she stood her ground. And because she stood her ground, her party, which was ailing, it's a liberal democratic party, which was ailing when she became prime minister in October. She won the historic landslide on the eighth of this month. And the LDP, the liberal democratic party, her party now has a majority that has never been seen in post-war Japan. So she showed everybody that the path to electoral success is defying China. And that's a lesson that the guy in the 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue Northwest in the city of Washington, D.C., that's a lesson he might want to take home. Which country in that region, in its neighborhood there, does it fear the most China? Is it Japan? Australia? What is it? I think it probably is Japan because Japan has a martial tradition. It was very capable in World War II. Since then, it's become a pacifist. But the other thing is that China, by continually provoking it, has now gotten Japan to the point where it is rearming. And the Japanese can fight. We know that. How about the South Koreans? um the south korean president e.j. mung he's he's yeah he's really bad um he um his public statements have shown that he really abhors the united states many people say well he's just saying that because he's a political opportunist and that very well may be true but around him he has appointed hardcore communists, hardcore North Koreans, pro-China elements. And at the same time, he has been destroying democratic institutions at a terrifying pace. So I don't know if we can call South Korea a democracy anymore. And even if it is a democracy, and I don't think it is, but even if it were, and I might be wrong, but even if South Korea is still a democracy, it's certainly not going to be one by the end of this year. He's going after the judiciary. He's going after free speech. He's taking down the churches. This is a full assault on the democratic institutions in society. And he may end up just being a dictator, but he could also end up being a totalitarian leader. We don't know where this ends, Mark. Which is amazing, since the prior president, I think it is, they just put in jail for life, right? Right. Yun Suk-yeol was charged and convicted of insurrection, which was a travesty of justice, because whatever one thinks about Yoon Suk-yeol's declaration of martial law in December of 2024, it was not an insurrection. What was it? It was, what happened is that he declared martial law because Yi Jae-moon, who is now president, paralyzed the government with something like 30, 36 impeachment motions, which prevented any sort of governance in South Korea. So Yoon Suk-yeol declared martial law. It lasted for about six hours because when the National Assembly, which is the unicameral legislature in South Korea, it voted to rescind martial law, and Yoon Suk-yeol complied. Now, martial law is a power that is specifically granted to the president of South Korea. So it can't be an insurrection. And, you know, one might say it was a stupid political move, but it was not a crime. And jail for life? So this guy is a... In jail for life. Yeah. This new guy... Yeah. Go ahead. I'm sorry. This new guy is... He is governing like a very pro-China, very pro-communist president. We don't know... How would the people elect him? They know better than that. That's a great question. The South Korean electorate is split 50-50. And Yoon Suk-yeol's declaration of martial law was unpopular. And what's happened in South Korea is that you see a pattern of a conservative president followed by a quote-unquote progressive president, followed by a conservative president, followed by a progressive president. So this was going to happen anyway, just the nature of South Korean politics. But because of the specific because of the problems after the martial law declaration, the group of leftists came in and they're much more relentless than previous leftist presidents. And they want to make sure that that cycle stops and that they have somewhat of a permanent control over that government. Well, that's very interesting.
