Summary

The MeidasTouch Podcast covers Democratic and Republican congressional responses to newly accessible Epstein files on Capitol Hill, with Democrats calling for transparency and accountability while some Republicans deflect or avoid direct answers on whether convicted trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell should receive clemency.

Insights
  • Partisan divide on Epstein accountability: Democrats uniformly oppose clemency and demand full transparency, while some Republicans deflect, avoid questions, or redirect to other administrations
  • Significant redactions remain in Epstein files despite legal requirements: 70-80% of DOJ documents remain redacted, with six male co-conspirators' names protected while victim names are exposed
  • Congressional access to files is limited and inefficient: Members must visit secure DOJ facilities with 2.7 million documents searchable only by batch number or keyword, making comprehensive review nearly impossible
  • Ghislaine Maxwell's clemency offer signals potential cooperation: Maxwell invoked Fifth Amendment with House but reportedly offered to testify if granted presidential clemency, creating political leverage
  • Institutional accountability gaps: Leadership from both parties shows inconsistency on whether child trafficking victims deserve justice, with some officials treating serious allegations as political theater

As the Democratic members were able to expose the Trump regime, the Trump DOJ for continuing to cover up the Epstein files. Democrats from the House Judiciary Committee took a trip to the DOJ where they finally got access to the Epstein files that had been redacted by the Trump regime and they were permitted to look beneath the redactions and identify all of the unlawful redactions that were taking place by the Trump regime. At the same time in the House Oversight Committee, the Trump regime basically had Gilein Maxwell invoked the Fifth Amendment against self-incrimination and go mute and go silent on each and every question she was asked during her deposition, notwithstanding the fact that just a few months ago, she spoke with Donald Trump's number two at the Department of Justice Todd Blanche, who was Donald Trump's former criminal defense attorney, didn't invoke the Fifth Amendment there, but now when the House of Representatives was questioning her, I have to plead the Fifth I cannot speak to you right now, but if you give me clemency, I might be able to exonerate Donald Trump. She literally said that. So I want to show you what went down on Capitol Hill today. As you know, the Midas Touch Network now has a Washington DC bureau. Yep, we're in DC. We're on Capitol Hill. Pablo Monriquez with the Midas Touch Network is out there questioning the lawmakers asking them the questions that you want to hear answered. So I want to show you what Monriquez was asking the lawmakers today. It is quite revealing. I want to ask you this as well. Please hit subscribe to this YouTube channel. You have Democratic Congresswoman on sorry, speaking with Midas Touch, Washington B.D.C. bureau chief, Pablo Monriquez play this clip. Congressman, are you planning on going to see the underdicated F.C. files? Absolutely. I'm going on Thursday. The DOJ has asked us to give them 24 hours notice. So the soonest appointment I was able to get was Thursday, but I look forward to it already from what we've heard from colleagues is that there are names of potential co-conspirators that were rejected. That should never have been redacted and names of rich and powerful people potentially very high up in this administration. Whose names were redacted that should not have been redacted and coupled with what has been going on today with Glamann Maxwell deciding to plead the fifth and publicly offering that she will reveal the truth if she's granted clemency from the president is so in raging and appalling. And I hope every American recognizes that we cannot give up until we have the full truth. Glamann Maxwell is a convicted child sex trafficker who is a monster and nothing she says is believable in my eyes. See how easy that was for her response? Now contrast that to Maga Republican congresswoman Molliotakis who said that she has to go to a physician's office. So she is not going to answer if Elaine Maxwell should receive clemency here play this clip should Elaine Maxwell get clemency to testify. Next you had Republican congressmember Thomas Massey who along with row Conna has been out there pushing for the release of the Epstein file. She is responsible for the discharge petition that led to the Epstein transparency act. Here's what Massey told our pop the Monrique as let's play this clip. You mentioned that there are some things that have been redacted that probably shouldn't have been redacted. Yeah, is anything can you elaborate it on that? Yeah, six man's names. One of them listed as a co-conspirator. Why would you redact his name? Right, there's not Victor. One of them saying is it's not just Victor's names that they've redacted. And how can we get those names then? Like the public generally. Well, I'm hopeful the DOJ will release them. Now they've pointed it out to them. We could either have to say okay we made a mistake. Or we're not going to unredact that. Okay. Are you going to go and grab to see I know like there's this sort of like a procession now of members who are going. Yeah, I'm scheduled for tomorrow morning too. Yeah, what are you looking to? What are you going to look into tomorrow that you haven't looked into today? It just takes a while. You know, it's millions of files. I've still got files on my list to look at. On the other hand, you have Maga Republican Congress member and the lead on the Appropriations Committee. Tom Cole. And when he was asked if Elaine Maxwell should receive clemency to testify, he walked away and said, I have no idea. You have no idea whether a convicted child sex trafficker should get clemency. It should be a simple no. Not only should she not get clemency, she should rot in a maximum security facility. Here's what Cole has to say play this clip. Mr. Chairman, real quick, should Elaine Maxwell get clemency to testify? I'm sorry. Should Elaine Maxwell get clemency to testify? Oh, I have no words to you. I mean, I've got it. Any updates on DHS funding? Ah, don't know yet. I mean, we've passed the bill. We're still waiting on the Senate to do something. Got it. Our roll against the bill puts any of the proposed reforms that Democrats put out. I'll be honest with you. I can't really feel the bill will react to any breaking of the bill. Now, contrast that with Democratic Congress member, Ro Connett. Here's what he told our Pablo Monrique gets play this clip. Here's the point. This is bringing down the British government. And they've been on the British monarchy. It's bringing down countries and the elites across the country. What are we doing here in the United States to stand up to the Epstein class? I mean, we've got a commerce secretary who's all over the Epstein files. Where's the outrage? Where's the outrage at the billionaires in Silicon Valley and finance in Hollywood? The going Debsky and Zollock? We need more accountability in the United States, just like they're having in so many other countries around the world. And here's another clip of Congress member, Ro Connett, speaking to Pablo Monrique. Guess let's play this clip. Congressman, what can you tell us about what you saw today in the unredacted Epstein files? I'm very concerned. First of all, most of the unredacted files were redacted. 70-80% of the documents that DOJ got were redacted from the FBI. The FBI didn't unredacted as the law was required. The grand jury was unredacted. So a lot of it was smoking mirrors. Second, Mase and I saw that there are six men who were co-conspirators who were protected and whose names were brought out. Those names need to be made public by the art. Well, DOJ needs to say who they are and we're pushing to have them made public. But there's no excuse for releasing survivors' names but protecting these six men. And there are probably more. That was just in two hours that we saw that these six men were being protected. Now, contrast that to James Comer, the chair of the House Oversight Committee. And despite the fact that Elaine Maxwell invoked the fifth and refused to testify and basically gave the middle finger to the Oversight Committee. You had James Comer, not sure whether or not he should be given clemency by Donald Trump. He's like, well, that's not up to me. Well, does he with Donald Trump does here playing this flip? Mr. Chairman, quick question. What are your thoughts about Elaine Maxwell's lawyer saying she needs clemency to testify before she tests it? Well, I don't know. Initially, she said, month ago that she would testify if we granted her a musical Oversight Committee. And we discussed that. I remember with the survivors and they didn't support that. So we never continued that to that. This was something you today, obviously, that's not for me to say that's for the presents. Congresswoman, are you among the members who got to see the undredacted files today? Yes, I saw some of them, not all of them, obviously. I'll be going back tomorrow to see more. Any reaction on what you've seen so far? I think that there's folks who are definitely implicated in code conspirators and I don't think everyone there that was talking about underage girls being trafficked are victims. And do you support any clemency for Elaine Maxwell as you sing the song? I do not. I think Elaine Maxwell should get more time and she should definitely be in a harsher prison than what she's been. It's absolutely disgusting. Right, I think what she said there's fair. To her credit, Congresswoman Anna Polina Luna spoke to Pablo Monriquez, here's what she said. Are you able to see the DOJ undredacted versions? I'm going to be going tomorrow. I think every member of oversight has gone through so far or is going to be going through so far. So yes. It's a girl over here first time? No, my second. Is there anything you can share from what you saw today? Publicly, but some of the people that are in the most egregious red actions are claiming to be victims. And I don't think that there are victims if you're engaging in child psychotropic. Here's also what she said, play this clip. You said that you do not support at all, Elaine Maxwell getting any clemency for a testimony. And why is it important for her to be held accountable? Well, because according to the files that we all saw, she was engaged in detrafficking and also rape of young women and potentially children. I don't think that she deserves any special treatment. She's a monster. Now we also caught up with Democratic Congress member Jared Moskowitz. And he saw the files unredacted or some of them. Here's how he describes it. Talk about it all about what you've seen in these unreacted files. I know you've been making statements, but... I mean, there's discussion, significant discussion of child trafficking. It's gross. Jimmy Ressensson and 9-year-old, is it right? Children of all ages, of child exploitation, under the age of 18. And we're dealing around the world, participating and finding these girls. Are there any names that you've read that are suspiciously redacted, I suppose? So a lot of the names of his co-conspirators are not household names? A lot of a bunch of them were women. Interesting. But there are also things that the administration has said that I think are not sure based on what I read. Somebody said that their emails back and forth between Trump's legal team and FST's legal team were redacted. Do you have any sense of why they were redacted? That's not a victim name or anything like that. Some of them were redacted, some of them wasn't redacted. They didn't explain to us why it was redacted because that was how it was... That's how it was submitted into a system to us. So you go into a room, there's four computers, there's 2.7 million documents. And so you have to search by batch number basically. You can search by keyword. You can search by keyword. But it pulls up 10,000 documents. So you could spend an eternity down there going through this stuff. Got it. So are there going to be other opportunities to take a look at these documents? I'm going back. Okay. And this is going to be like a week long thing. I'm going back tomorrow. Okay. We'll catch you tomorrow then. Thank you, Congressman. I appreciate it. Now again, do you see how easy that was? Speaking with clarity. Now contrast that to Maga Republican Senator Bernie Moreno. And here he was asked about what's your reaction to the fact that there are victims in the Epstein files as young as nine. And Senator Moreno from Ohio turns it into like a joke. He's like, oh, well, what do you think about Obama and Biden? But Pablo Monriquez pushes back. Let's play it. What's your reaction to the victims being as young as mine in these things? I wish Obama had pursued it when it was hot and heavy, right? And this goes back well before Trump, he went into politics. I wonder why Biden and Obama didn't do anything about it. Well, Biden and Obama aren't in the Epstein files. So Trump's in there. It would be a president in the States in charge of justice as far as it is, right? Right. So here's why that. It seems odd though that they never took the opportunity to take it. Yeah, I think it's just you, my though, that they never took the opportunity to actually publish these things given the shirt. Yeah. But that you know, that's awful. I can't imagine that that's the case. It's pretty outrageous. And any reaction to the bad money. So sorry to turn the. Yeah, I'm so sorry to the nine year old. That's pretty. Yeah. So he's like, obviously, that probably wouldn't be strong enough for somebody who got involved in that. In terms of the bad money, that was, I didn't watch it, honestly. It was a decently barric<|ro|> It was a decently barricaded rule. And then Pablo Monriquez asks Senator Moreno, you know, what else do you make about the fact that there's a nine year old Vic that there are nine year old victims. These are little children who were sexually assaulted by Epstein and Moreno is like, what, Raskin? That's the guy with the bad haircut. You think this is a joke? You think this is a freaking joke here to play this clip. So Jamie Raskin reviewed the unredeactivated Epstein files earlier and said that there was a nine year old that's been a victim now. He saw for the files. Who said that? Jamie Raskin. There was a bunch of house oversight folks who were seeing the unredeactivated files. I think I was really bad haircut. Then Pablo Monriquez caught up with congresswoman McBride and here's what she had to say play this clip. So, Kirsten, what do you make of DHS paying up all these warehouses across the country to determine the detention centers? It is a continuation of a disturbing, dangerous and deadly, nasty, mortgaged, and effort that clearly is not only appalling in real time, but will wear horribly in history. I mean, these types of images, what you're describing is exactly what we have learned about in school and we should never allow it. You also caught up with AOC and here's what she had to say. Kirsten, what do you make of the DHS warehouses going up across the country? There are hundreds of millions of dollars worth of space. We're seeing what ICE is doing. I think every American should be alarmed. They are building up and have built a black box system that disappears people. Both immigrants and US citizens alike. So, I think that where possible, this is also an area where we actually have agency to fight back with power and that, because a lot of these warehouses require approvals on the local municipal and state level. And so, we have to be vigilant about this, deny those permits. If your community doesn't want this in your backyard, you can stop this, you can ask your mayor's, your city council, your county commissioners to deny these permits and these contracts until it that happened. And then you had some hack right wing reporter trying to question AOC and watch as she watches AOC shuts down this hack reporter here playing this clip. I'm so glad to have you here.
