Summary

The Roula Show discusses relationship advice through 'Relationship Roulette,' where a caller seeks guidance on whether to give a second chance to an ex who's suddenly interested again or focus on a new dating app match. The episode also features the Houston Gamblers UFL team and their H-Town Hype Crew cheerleaders promoting their inaugural home opener on Easter Sunday with Ludacris performing at halftime.

Insights
  • Bench-warming behavior in relationships often resurfaces when competition appears; the key is recognizing whether someone's renewed interest stems from genuine feelings or territorial jealousy
  • New romantic prospects should be evaluated on their own merits rather than compared to familiar but inconsistent partners; familiarity can be confused with compatibility
  • Young adults (19-year-olds) demonstrate mature relationship awareness, recognizing that giving ultimatums and showing alternatives can motivate behavioral change in inconsistent partners
  • Professional sports organizations (UFL) are investing in cheerleading/hype crews but NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) opportunities remain unavailable to cheerleaders despite their professional status
  • Spring football leagues are experimenting with innovative broadcast and camera techniques that may influence future NFL production standards

Alright, we're going around the table. Let's go. It's time for the ruler show round. Table round with Eric Sam and special K-Round. The table. Alright, can I kick it off? Because usually you do Eric's facts here. Eric did his facts in the six o'clock hour. He did the podcast of the six o'clock hour. He did it early. We have some guests coming in. Right. I wanted to move things around today. Exactly. I'm sorry if you're really looking forward to that song. You're going to hear that. For the podcast. It's said nobody ever. What a person. What a person. What a person. It's kind of growing on me. You know that dumb theme song. It will also be 5.30 Monday morning as well. Okay. Alright. It is good Friday today. Schools are out and teachers are out and administrators are out. And some businesses actually are company every now and again will give us good Friday off. And it just depends on what they want to do for the days off. I've never seen that. Yeah. I know that happened. We did have that. We have had that in the 20 years that we've worked here. We have had a good Friday off. It's not always. But why is it called good Friday? If you really think about what the day is about. Dumb question, amnesty. It's not dumb question, amnesty day. But here's the answer. Good Friday is called good in Christian theology because it does commemorate the day that Jesus willingly suffered and died on the cross as the ultimate sacrifice. In old English, good historically carried the definition of holy. Okay. Like holy Friday. Like sacrifice day. It's holy Friday. Good Friday. So Thursday is the Passion of the Christ. Monday, Thursday. Holy Thursday. The crucifixion. Then Friday into Friday is where he comes off the cross. And they do the whole thing with Joseph of Arimathea. And then he takes him to the tomb and does the things. And then Saturday into Sunday is the resurrection. That's what I was thinking today. This should be the biggest holiday I feel. Not Christmas. Right. Because it's a sacrifice. Yeah. That he gave. Versus the birth. But Christmas is so fun. I just love that Christmas. I just love babies. They should have marketed it better for Easter didn't get marketed as well as Christmas. Oh, and also if you're going to die Easter eggs. If you're going to die Easter eggs, real eggs and you want to eat them. You have within seven days to eat those eggs. If you do not refrigerate your hard boiled eggs after two hours, toss them just to be safe. How long do you have to eat Easter eggs? Seven days from the fridge. Do not let them sit out and eat them. Although my mom would debate you on that. Has anybody invented double eggs, like those little plastic trays to put them in and then like they're over cold ice or water or anything? I'm sure. I've just got travel ones. And I'm pretty sure what I could do is take the lid off, put the ice on it and then put them on top. Or flip it over. You know what I mean? Put on top of the lid and put ice on it. Yes. Or that wouldn't be leveled. Yeah, but I think it would be fine. You have to really be careful of food poisoning friends. If you're making double eggs and it's going to be hot and it's sitting outside and you're doing an outside party. Oh yeah. Oh gosh with the flies. Oh go, go, go. My grandparents always make a crock pot gizzards. Yeah. Easter time? Yeah. I don't know why Christmas and Easter we'd have these big, I ate like 34 of them. Is it chicken livers? Yeah, I guess they are. I was going to say is it not? No, it's just like gravy in it. Really? Whatever it was, it was like so good. I just remember eating so many of them. I'm going to say hard pass. The next day I just barfed in my shower. My dad remember, my mom was gone. I just remember the, I was supposed to go to college that day. My first year as freshman and I went to IVC. You know the mics are on, right? I just remember that. I was barfed in my shower. I thought they banned, they never had the gizzards again. So my dad must have told my grandparents, don't make those air caps. Yeah, gross. It's not gizzards fault. It's my fault. Why was it your fault? Because I kept eating them. Same space of disgust. Eat 34 of anything. That was your fault. I just remember taking a shower like, getting ready for college. Oh God. Yeah, because you got to clean that out of the shower. I didn't do it. I think my dad did. That is so bad. That's where my mind went. I'm surprised that you ate the stuff that my dad would make over the years with coconut tea. I don't lose, they just banned it from the row family Easter holiday celebration. We're like basically you ham in my house. Oh, these are like appetizers. Yes. That's an appetizer. In the Greek world, Sam, you take the innards of like the lamb because the lamb is what you eat and then think about in the day, they would eat everything because they don't want to waste any food because nobody had food. So you would take the innards and you would marinate those and then you would chargrill them like over an open fire. And Eric for years, when my dad got rest his soul, that was like his thing. I mean, Easter is my dad's Christmas. He would love it. We would roast, we always roast the lamb, all the things. They'd invite me over. It's called Kokoretsi. And my dad, to make it extra tasty for us, this is not part of a traditional recipe. He would wrap it in bacon so the bacon grease would go through it. So you don't realize you're eating a kidney. It's bacon-y. And it was delicious. And Eric loved it. Oh, I did. 2003, four, five, six. I think like four years in a row. Oh yeah. He loved it. We need to go back and look at when was Easter in 2003. Because I moved here April 4th, was my first show. Wow, you're about to have your anniversary tomorrow. Yeah. 23 years tomorrow. Does that mean the Greek festivals coming up? The May Greek festival for the West Side. St. Basil's. That's the only thing I went to that. Yeah. But I could have swore I was at your house. You were. I brought you to a lot of things because you didn't know anybody. And then people thought we were dating now. I'm sure. We're very on the round table, but fun stories. I brought Eric around because he had just moved here. He didn't know anybody. Right. And I took him to the West Side Greek festival. And my friends were like, who's this guy? You didn't know this guy? Yeah. I go, oh no. He's the executive producer of my show. Right. He just moved here. Oh, y'all going out? I go, no. I just brought him because he doesn't know anybody. Right. And then you had my family and we had Christmas together. Yeah. You brought your son down. And we did Thanksgiving. We did Christmas. You did Easter. That's your first holidays. Yeah. That's like Kevin and I. Exactly right. When I started the show, it's like I didn't know anybody really. Didn't have family here. And we were in. And we just kind of clicked. Yeah. Just like you guys with a great relationship. That's good. I like that. And then he marries your sister. And you know. Yeah. You end up pretty much, yeah. Some people think I'm married to Kevin's partner though. They see us. We had a listener come up and they're like, oh, so this is your husband. And B and I looked at each other and were like, this is Kevin's husband. That's, no, wrong husband. It's not Monday through Friday, husband. Because my husband travels. Because Kevin's over there and Mark grabbed his butt. So I think that Mark is booster. And booster is Mark. I don't know. I was like, well, I don't know. I mean, Mateo does have blonde hair. I could see B having like blonde hair, maybe, but I don't know. Wrong, wrong dude. Well, this story I teased earlier, the best time to text after a first date. Yeah. When is the best time to text? As soon as you drop me off, I want to text immediately telling me how beautiful I am. I'm wonderful. And how I smelled nice. And you can't wait to see me again. You can't wait to sniff me later. I should sniff you later. Okay. I'm not going to be a good guy. I'm not going to be a good guy. I'm not going to be a good guy. I'm not going to be a good guy. I'm not going to be a good guy. I'm not going to be a good guy. Well, I smelled nice. And you can't wait to see me again. And you can't wait to sniff me later. I should sniff you later. Okay. If some guy did that, you would be crazy. I can't wait to sniff you, Sam. He's two steps from smelling your underwear drawer. It's fine. They should be clean. It's cool. Okay, when is the good time? When is the right time to text after the date? The next morning. The next, is there a time? It just says at some point when you wake up. 4 a.m. Yeah, 4 a.m. that's right. I couldn't sleep. I was thinking about you all night long. The timing, they got the highest interest from other people, made them, you know, want to keep going in the relationship. They did the research, and it's, you text them the next morning, like, you know what, last night was a lot of fun. Hope we can do it again. That worked the best time. The next day, text shows you're interested without trying too hard, and the old, I'm going to wait two or three days, don't do that, because it'll backfire. Right, yeah. So, if you've ever learned that, I don't know where you'll learn that, maybe your grandpa's giving you dating advice. Yeah, don't do that. Don't wait three days, that shows you ghosted. I'd want to text after a drop-off. drop off. Yeah. Just to kind of reconfirm that like we're on the same page that you had a good time or not. If I didn't get a text that night I'd be like oh cool he's not into me. Well can't you say like wouldn't you say something like I hope you get home safe maybe text me when you're home or would you? No this is how it works. If you're the one that dropped off the person. Right. You're the one that wants to do the text. You say. No you say hey I just got home and I just wanted to let you know I really had a great time. I want to do that again. Like you could just do like that. That's really nice. Yeah. Hey I just got home. Here's what you do. And I just want to let you know I had a great time. You text. Man I had the greatest day tonight. She is such a great person. I just she puts a smile on my face every time I see her. Send. Oops did that go to you. I meant to send it to my friend. No one knows that game Eric. We know that fake game of a mess text. Man that chick was annoying. She smelled. Oh my gosh. Yeah do the opposite and then try and get out of that one. No. No just say hey I just got home. I just want to let you know I'm still thinking about how great our date was. I really hope we can do it again. Now we can let's yes we can let's group therapy emails and stuff and I figured we should do this for a relationship. We haven't done a relationship. We're letting a while. That's right. Relatives relationship roulette because this hot off the DMS hot off the DMS when somebody has been circling in your world that they're not committing to you. And then all of a sudden you meet someone that's showing real interest and that circular comes back. What do you do. But if you like that person you give another shot where you just focus on the new. But the new is not guaranteed. That's tough. But what's the old guy. The old guys is jealous. Or maybe somebody's in my territory. That was the wake up call they needed to realize they want to be with you. All right we'll go around. We're going to do a roulette here next relationship roulette rulers relationship roulette next on the rule show there can care be. Yeah. Spend the wheel find out what's the deal. It's rule as relationship roulette. So fun. Next time I'm at that. I'm going to say let's. This is going to be your song. When you walk in. You walk in. Spend the wheel find out what's the deal. Like release pictures when they come into the game. Yeah. Where's my chips. That's right. Happy. Okay. It goes on and on and on. We're going to let it go. I'll give you a chance to give us a chance to give us a chance to give us a chance to give us a chance to give us a chance to give us a chance to give us a chance to give us a chance to give us a chance to give us a chance to give us a chance to give us a chance to give us a chance to give us a chance to give us a chance to give us a chance to give us a chance to give us a chance to give us a chance to give us a chance to give us a chance to give us a chance to give us a chance to give us a chance to give us a chance to give us a chance to give us a chance to give us a chance to give us a chance to give us a chance to give us a chance to give us a chance to give us a chance to give us a chance to give us a chance to give us a chance to give us a chance to give us a chance to give us a chance to give us a chance to give us a chance to give us a chance to give us a chance I mean, I was like five in the afternoon when she sent her message and said, listen, I thought about this and I really need some help. And I think it would be good for Rula's relationship. There is a guy that is for less. Let's just say he's been yanking her chain, you know, pulling her back in and forth on do I like you? Do I not like you? Do I not? But he's never committed to her. She would love for her to be his boyfriend. I mean, for him to be her boyfriend, she would love that. This guy does not commit to her. He's like one of those bench warmers. She's not the main show. She's the bench warmer. And when the main show is bored, he's like, all right, come off the bench and I'll take you out. Now there's a new guy that has a lot of potential that she met on an app. And he seems really nice. They've had two dates. She thinks he has great potential. But now the bench warmer guy has gotten back in it because he sniffed blood. Of course he did. That's always happens. They always come back. Yeah. So she doesn't know whether she should actually believe the bench warmer guy that wants to go out with her for real. Then you're doing what makes you happy and you know, or you go with this new guy, which can be fresh focus and interest. Right. And he might be the one. The new and shiny. Because wouldn't that be crazy? I was called the sliding doors theory. I've referenced that movie a lot. It's old school movie with Gwyneth Paltrow, where she misses the train because the doors are slid closed. And then it shows you the whole movie. What would have happened if she made the train or didn't make the train? Had she made the train, she would have seen her boyfriend cheating on her at the apartment and all these things. Had she not and she didn't make the train and such as miserable job with the cheating boyfriend and all these things. Okay. So 833-39OKRBE or you can text us at 375-30 if this happened to you. But also we have special guests in the studio. I'm going to ask. And in about 20 minutes we'll talk more about why they're here. Right. But we could talk to them right now. The Houston gamblers. Yeah. Yeah. You will. Football is back in Houston, Texas on Easter Sunday. Ludacris is going to be here for the halftime. That's pretty cool. Gamlers versus the Birmingham Ham Stallions. Stallions. And we've got Ava and Kendall here. Do we call you all the cheerleaders for the gamblers? You have a different name. Like, you know, the shooting stars for the Astros. What is it? Coach Stroh? The H-Town Hype Crew. H-Town Hype Crew. And we met you last week. Coach Stroh's back. I'm back. Because you coached. He works at Parrotland High School. He works with U of H. And he works with the gamblers. I love this. All right. Ava and Kendall, let's get your opinion on this. Hi, ladies. Hi. So how old are you guys, first of all? Nineteen. We're both 19. Okay, 19 years old. So maybe this hasn't happened yet to you. The scenario is just not it? Coach Stroh's like, oh, yeah. Don't fill their tea, okay. Should this girl give the bench warmer guy another shot? Or should she just solely focus on the new guy that is all about her? Because they met on an app. They've gone on two dates. It's been great so far and he's very attentive. What would you do? Ava, we'll start with you. She should give the new guy a chance, but she could also give the old one who was the very consistent another chance as well. And then kind of just be like, wait, you're doing it too soon? One, one night in the other, like later on in the week and see if he's changed for the better. He's too busy for that. Yeah, me, I would go for the new guy. You'd go for the new guy. If she really likes the old guy, like, you know, I'm giving one more chance. Yeah, but he's been yanking her chain because the relationship is the back and forth. Ben Tormin is their relationship, right? She's been yanking her relationship. She's been yanking her relationship. She's been yanking her relationship. She's been yanking her relationship. She knows what she's going to get with him. He keeps putting her on the bench. What do you think, Kendall? Maybe he needs to realize, like, okay, I'm going to lose her if I don't really put my foot down. Maybe it's a way. Maybe like one more date to see he's got to show his best stuff. Like this is going to wake him up. And then he showed the best stuff. I like that idea. Then you date the other guy and maybe you realize this guy's a dud, the guy, the new guy. Because you really never know. Yeah, you might think he's going to be that he could be something, but until you go on dates, you don't know. Well, it took another guy to make the first date. You know, he's got to realize his best. Now. Was it wrong if you slept with both of them? You can do whatever you want. Yeah, except to you. No, it's okay. Is that, uh, frowned upon and you can do whatever you want, honey. Because as a guy, that's what we would do. Of course. So I mean, yeah, girl can do whatever she wants. Just be safe. Kendall, what do you think? Should she give the bench warmer guy another shot now only because he smells blood in the water? He's interested or just keep focus on the new dating app guy who has shown up for two dates solid. I would say from personal experience, um, in this relationship, you know, if you give the original guy, if you give him like, uh, an idea that you have other options and that even if it might seem like you want him the most, you still have other opportunities, then he's probably going to put in more effort. But in the end, if you like, if you like the new guy more than you liked him, you never know what's going to happen. Then forget the other guy. What's going to happen is you're going to date this new guy and you think you're with them, but then you're going to keep falling over that other guy for some reason. It happens and then you're that poor new guy is going to give you to give you to give you to give is to give is to give is to give is to give is to give is to give is to give is to give is to give is to give is to give is to give is to You guys say us guys are can be manipulative. I can't say the word Maniculative with statistics Eric can't say those words you guys are it goes both ways it does it does as bad as us I like this texture all in caps all in caps the texture says she should put that old guy on the bench Since he's been doing that to her like bench him. Oh, okay. Yeah, I've got this other guy over here So I'm kind of busy on Saturday. When did you want to go with me? No, we're going to the Astros game What is what's another night you're available? Know that you're doing these things. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, and on your social. He's taking me to stick 48 We went to the gamblers game went to the Astros game look where we are We're backstage with Ludacris. Yeah show Where you could give the bench warmer one more shot and he doesn't show his best He's just doing it because he's territorial versus really into you What if he shows his best because he won't he wants to compete and then he then once he gets you and you dump the other guy Yeah, yeah, no, I think then you know What you do is just like keep both of them and then just keep it casual well Well, here's the thing you can just play both of them. Okay, you could she wants a commitment. She wants a commitment Okay, here's what you want to commitment. Yes, they're ages too. Like if like the girls Kendall and Ava are 19. They got a lot of years left. Don't commit. Listen. This is ladies Listen, this is money before I lose it the textures coming so fast This person I've had that circular guy, too. It's one of those fool me once shame on you I mean, why shame on me? That's what I'm saying I think she should just be the player and just do what makes her happy. Yep I mean, listen, you could go straight at it because listen We're in a world of people who don't like to communicate and don't like to confront now that you know He has bench warmed you so many times and he's coming back for it because another guy shown interest Take him on that one date or let him take you on that one date and then just be real with it Be like, okay, listen, I don't we've been doing this How long are we doing this now are you just taking me out because you're jealous I met Dan on match or whatever. Yeah, Dan Dan I don't know. I mean just you you need to be forward with it because you have to communicate What were we playing around? What are we doing here? Do you actually care? You're just mad. What would you do? Somebody else has me. What would I do? What would I do? I would marry the guy the new guy Just marry him straight up. She's married So I would just keep laying it out What are the guys like right now like in college since you guys are 19 in college are they Do you feel like the 19 year old guys are immature? What are you finding? Definitely just like her situation like the push and pull like one minute. They want you one minute They don't you don't know what to do. No, nobody coming at you at 19. I really want this to be like my yeah I would love to marry you Where do they take you guys on dates like what are the 19 year old nowadays where they go? I do have a boyfriend What do you think where do you go do you like 19 because you only have so much money? Yeah, so many things you can do well 21 to get the bars Well, we actually were that same situation and he didn't really start trying and really want me until I started talking to other guys So, you know at first it was really nothing we did nothing nothing exciting at all Yeah, but now we're long distance so like I'll fly out there to see him and we go do stuff So what actually live um he lives in Kansas for college right now. Wow does he get jealous? Like a cheerleader well he plays basketball we played against him actually I was cheering while he was Kansas State oh, wow oh so you were cheering and Did you heckle him? Yeah, he actually he's a freshman too. So he read shirted this year So he was actually on the sideline. Okay, so yeah, and so like me and my friends were just like look over at him Maybe like because we were beating them, of course They didn't go against Illinois, okay, let me go to Mike real quick on the line 833 3 and ok RVE our phones I can kind of wonky so Mike can you hear me? Hi, it's Rula. Good morning So for this Friday Rula's relationship roulette So what would you say the benchwarming guy has come back around to this girl? Because this new guy she met an app is showing true focus and interest should she give the other guy even One chance more or just say nope you had your chance. I'm focusing on the new guy Definitely she should give the new guy a chance reason being to make a long story short I wasn't that same situation in my early 20s where a girl that I was dealing with Kind of kept me on the bench She would call me or come to me when again when she was bored or when she was needing some type of just Companionship somebody to hang out with I wasn't love with her. I had even told I gave her an engagement ring I wanted to marry her didn't you know and she was back before it wasn't too sure when she got met a new guy Then right she would not ghost me but wasn't there as much Moment I met I met the I met somebody new like that caller said she almost she sniffed it out She knew I was talking to somebody dealing with somebody so she tried to get back in the picture Well, I gave that girl the new girl. I was talking to gave her a chance And lo and behold me and her the new girl. We've been married 15 years now. We got three kids Did you invite her to your wedding man, no, no, I didn't Yeah, she was she was for sure highly upset But you know what it just I knew that it was never gonna be anything serious I was gonna just kind of be the guy in the band the guy that you know I'm probably was gonna be her last resort and I didn't want to be somebody's last resort So me and my wife were happily married and you know, I think for sure she I mean cuz again What is she gonna lose right if she what mean there's the chances are you know, there's no risk there, right? So just take a chance with the new guy if it works out, you know, I mean it may be something a big blessing So just try it. Yeah, so so don't give the old guy the chance Just go with the new and I like that congratulations Mike. Thanks for that story. It happens both ways guys will string along girls You know, you we do a get inside the mind of I'd love to get inside the mind of that the guy that wants to string you along Right girl like like just like I don't want to be alone and so to know that they can keep you That's why there's a boost to that makes it feel good They don't want to be alone They want to always have an option and so they're gonna keep you along until they find somebody else, okay? So weird this is a really good way to look at it, too If you if nothing about guy number one changed would you still pick him if you knew you were up for? Well, sometimes he might like it. No, no, you wouldn't pick him. Also. No don't confuse familiarity with compatibility That's a good one. That's why my first marriage is it's familiar I was familiar your your major knew my mom before she died So I figured I don't have to beat someone new and then talk about my mom because this person already knew my mom Yeah, and that happens a lot to people you already know what you're gonna get with the old guy He already showed you who he was that was the relationship getting bench This is gonna be this new guy has you on the all-star team and you're number one player. Let's go. All right Thanks for that guys. That's awesome. All right come on next We got tickets to see the Houston gamblers and that means seeing ludicrous for the halftime show on Easter Sunday We'll get more into that next. I'm so happy the gamblers are back the name Cuz I'd never like to run Get rid of that name. So we'll circle back be like, yeah, it's gonna clear next role with Vernon Davis Follow and listen on your favorite platform Now we usually just scoop here brought to you by taqueria Randas But I do want to give you some scoop that ludicrous is coming to Houston Easter weekend How are you gonna see ludicrous at the Houston gamblers game, baby? Yes, the Houston gamblers are in studio. Hi, Coach Strow. What's up? I'm doing great. How are you? Because he all he's got he is quite the man who comes to raising cheer up in this town You work at Parallel in high school you work with the University of Houston and you work with the Houston gamblers So he brought some of our hype team from the gamblers in here That's women Eva and Kendall just a couple minutes ago for Rula's relationship roulette. So the Houston gamblers are back, baby It's the UFL in Houston. Is this the inaugural game this weekend? It's our home opener and we're super excited Yeah, the gamblers name back and to have coach someone bringing the guys out coach Sombland Yeah, that's great because he brought so much success to UH and then an M and now he's here Cuz I know he always really ran in a couple times at the rodeo. I did I remember over the years I'm not this past. No, that's been a few years I remember you'd to see him. He loves the city Houston spring football coach Sombland Houston gamblers. It's back and it's kicking off on Sunday at Shell Energy Stadium guys That's a great place to play to it's against the Birmingham the Birmingham Stallions and half time is gonna be ludicrous and the first 5,000 fans and attendants are gonna get a special attention. I cannot talk today special edition Gamblers t-shirt Commemorating the home opener and the beginning of a new era in pro football now It used to be what USFL you were saying now back in the day Well back of the day in the 80s Jim Kelly was the quarterback for the gamblers Houston And Jim Kelly late girls is a famous Hall of Fame yeah, he went to four Super Bowls in a row, but they lost and lost they lost four years in a row But he played for the gamblers first out of college is a Susan Luchia So Jim Kelly did not this then it went away and then a few years back Maybe five years ago. They brought the XFL and USFL they're competing and We had a gamblers team and we had a rough next like say that's really good six years ago because it was COVID I think yeah, we're the rough next play into your center. No, they wouldn't nobody ever play to your indoor football I mean they had that in Dallas. I know I thought we had indoor football at some point, but it's too many sport sporting Soccer about kinds of stuff. Okay, try through the years. There's always an outdoor so then the USFL and XFL got together and The rock was part of that and they put it because the Rockhead XFL right bought it right now They're together and then they they chose the rough next name and I was always mad I was like, why would you pick the rough next when the gamblers name is people know that name? I con it like I would wear your husband toss was by me a shirt years ago I finally had to get rid of it the pit stains were too much Like a cruise ship and these old guys like oh, yeah Gamblers I'm just happy you guys Eric a t-shirt that's all he wants. He just want to wear that Making find one somewhere You I want to crop it I'll crop yours Eric He'll wear a crop one too, I guess we could share it's UFL gamblers comm ticket start under 20 bucks UFL gamblers comm first 5000 fans in attendance on Sunday will get that special edition gamblers t-shirt And ludicrous is the halftime entertainment. Yes. So how do you keep all the cheers straight? Cuz you got I'm sure you have stuff you parallel and UH and the campers coached row. They're all doing the same routines Not necessarily high school cheers a lot different than college and professional. That's true But when it comes to like the gamblers the team was picked From the crop of like my U of H athletes got it So like our first practice was last night they all came in there and we made sure we had everything ready to go Make sure we weren't saying And we kept holding up the pot That's all right, so I had them put on their uniforms and practice so that they would keep your gamblers your gamblers right now Wait, what's the I don't know the sign to the hand sign is for the gamblers I know the paw for the cougars, but what is it for the gamblers? We have like this I like your Crap's dice Crap's dice that's a marketing No, just fingers. I learned their routine you I felt like oh, yeah, that'd be really fun Is that what it's called? Sorry routine, right? No, what do you call it? Like what do you call your? I don't know your yeah, I don't know we have like timeout routines and performances. Okay, just cheering Are you guys here? Okay? Sorry. Do you get to do anything with ludicrous? Are you on the field with him? Maybe you have to go to the game and find out You want to like do a cheer for us so we know to know We know to say when we get there because it's the inaugural game Have one yet We have Houston gamblers. Let's go Brought to you by like Casino Golden nugget okay, that's great guys. It was very nice to meet you guys and Cheers to a new organization a new season no FL the ufl.com or ufl gamblers I want to talk about the NIL and college sports where a lot of these football players basketball players are making some bank on Money like right now like after UH lost some players were leaving because they were somewhere else And that it's like you can buy players you can be like, okay, we have a war chest of ten million dollars We'll give you a couple million dollars to go play for that school Yeah, wow and they said UH is gonna is gonna be in there for bidding for some top players Well, let me tell you something so the cheerleaders get that Do they do that? Does the cheer team do the same thing? They get any NIL for that stuff? Oh? No, we do not get that nothing no I mean we think it like apparel they get to travel to the cab yeah things like that Because if I was like a chiropractor and I had commercials on TV I'd like have you do a flip and then you tend to get hurt I'd like see if you get hurt injured come to my chiropractor place And I'd pay you like $10,000 Eric isn't it the same thing is like look at our professional sports teams They get paid millions of dollars to play in the field, but the cheerleaders making like 35 bucks a game Absolutely, it's always been that way they're not and you cannot so unfortunately You can't recognize you can't interconnect with them dollars cab or cheerleaders Texan cheerleaders Whatever right those organizations are absolutely separate and they cannot say that but then I'm gonna get married The gambler the hype crew they do get paid a gambler's take care of us. That's good. We're really appreciative of the organization That's great. That's awesome. So go to you And you know it's gonna be a fun time. I've never seen football there either It's a lot smaller more intimate so the crowd's closer and they have some really fun things planned Come on out Don't throw the smoke bombs right It's that soccer no so it's the Birmingham salions versus the Houston gamblers and it's gonna happen on Sunday Five o'clock is that one the game starts out when ludicrous comes out. That's kickoff. Okay kickoff is five o'clock. Okay, Easter stuff's done already Because they have different rules and a lot of stuff they do in the USFL they're gonna like do that in the future of NFL Oh, really that they tried out there tried different things things that work a camera placement It's like watching like in a video game. Yeah, it's really cool How they do it? Wow, and where can we watch it on TV if we can't be there live? Do we know I forget what channel it's on me sometimes Fox has it on I have to find out the look like each game is different times I want to say ESPN one of the ESPN Joe no Is that a cornhole You can watch it on FUBU it says a ABC ESPN ESPN to Fox Different you guys will be on national TV.
