Summary

The hosts discuss Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 15 Episode 9 and The Valley Persian Style Season 1 Episode 7, analyzing relationship dynamics, cast conflicts, and emerging storylines. Key focus areas include Dorit and PK's custody disputes, Amanda's controversial manifestation dinner, Rachel Zoe's Hamptons trip, and relationship tensions in The Valley.

Insights
  • Reality TV casting of polarizing figures like Amanda creates unified cast dynamics against her, generating compelling television despite her lack of genuine connections with other cast members
  • Wealth disparity and changing relationship dynamics in marriages accelerate when women gain independent fame and financial success through reality TV, creating ego conflicts with male partners
  • Manifestation and self-help culture messaging can mask underlying MLM-like business models when presented without transparency about financial incentives and return on investment
  • Co-parenting dynamics deteriorate when one parent uses inconsistency and emotional manipulation as control tactics, forcing the primary caregiver into defensive positions
  • Friendship preservation in reality TV requires active communication and vulnerability; passive-aggressive behavior and third-party involvement (like Reza) weaponizes conflict
Trends
Reality TV franchises increasingly feature mid-life identity crises and divorce narratives as primary storylines, reflecting demographic shifts in cast compositionMale cast members and spouses struggle with loss of financial/social dominance when female partners achieve independent success through television platformsManifestation and wellness culture becoming mainstream reality TV content, blurring lines between entertainment, self-help, and potential predatory business practicesReunion elimination in newer Bravo franchises (The Valley) reduces accountability moments and cast resolution, potentially impacting long-term viewership retentionCult involvement and MLM participation emerging as implicit narrative threads in reality TV without explicit cast acknowledgment or investigationDivorce and custody battles becoming primary dramatic engines in housewives franchises, replacing traditional social drama with legal/financial conflictCross-franchise cameos and location overlaps (Summer House/Beverly Hills) creating potential for expanded universe storytelling and audience crossover

Oh, spooky. Scary. Yes. This episode of Beverly Hills is scary because I don't understand how people are siding with PK. What? I know. The internet? Yes, because like people hate Dorit. No, no, no, no. Watch the after show, you guys. I mean, watch the regular show. This is crazy. What are your weekend plans? We talked a little little bit about this on our Patreon, about it being Valentine's Day tomorrow and us celebrating different kinds of love. I love Valentine's Day. I think it's the sweetest day, and I don't think it's a day for couples. I think it's a day for friendships or family. I just think it's a cute little day. Did you get anything for Charlie? Oh, no, I didn't. Oh, just friends and family. I have a Valentine's Day outfit that he can wear. That's something. You got him an outfit. What is it? Oh, it's red corduroy pants and a red and white striped little shirt. And I'll probably wear his USA Olympics onesie underneath because we got to rep the Olympics. So cute. Love that. No, like, I mean, I got his nanny, like, a box of chocolates. I'm like, oh, Charlie's your Valentine. Just like, I like those kind of gestures. Yeah. No, I think that that's great. Yeah. Like, I went to lunch with my mom. We had Galentine's. Yes. And then she gave me this really cute heart candle. Yeah. Very cute. And then, yeah, I took her to lunch. So, yeah, I agree. It's like, I'm going to, like, see friends tomorrow. It's also, like, it's on a Saturday, which is, like, a weekend. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. You know? And so it's like, are you supposed to, like, change your day because, like, you can't go do things? No. Absolutely not. Go live your life. enjoy yourself and celebrate the love of your friends. The love of life. Exactly. Yes, yes. Okay, so are you watching the Olympics tomorrow then? Yeah, I got a lot to do this weekend. Like admin, admin. I need an admin day. Oh, tomorrow's your admin day? Well, I can't even do a lot of it, but I try my best. Okay, okay. We won't even start it because it's already feeling like stress over there. It is. I have a lot to do. All right. Tell me some other things then to get your mind off of the app. Okay. So as predicted, Dorinda is joining the E! Show. We'll be taking Jill's spot. We had said this. We were like, do you think that's going to happen? And we were right, Courtney. I didn't think she was. But I did wonder if, because at one point Ramona, I guess, in the announcement said there were six OGs and only five of them were announced. And so people are like, was Durinda already a part of the cast or did Ramona misspeak? So, you know, I'm curious how it's all going to work. She doesn't live in Florida. That's interesting because I kind of saw that she was going to be a friend of. So maybe she always was going to be a friend of. That's you make a good point. I hope she lives with Lou down there. I just feel like it's not. I still kind of of the ilk of it's not going to happen. I think it's going to happen. I'm worried it's not going to be good. People really want this nostalgic moment. They want a recreation. And it could be a little bit gimmicky and forced. That's my only reservation. I do want to read you Taylor Armstrong's apology as well, which she also did as a story, which you can erase. Four days later. Yeah. Well, her original was also a story. And it's also like, Taylor, you're not even on a show. Have you also seen while you pull that up is like Bethany. And now she's going on this rant about like being canceled. I think it was a Vulture article that said the OG Ronis need to put someone needs to confiscate their phones. I saw Bethany say, it's OK if I'm canceled. I have enough money. I'm like, that's disgusting. Bethany, it's not the money for you. You crave attention. You not being on TikTok would be a detriment for yourself because you crave attention from people, whether it's good or bad. Any publicity for Bethany is good publicity for her. could you imagine if someone took away her phone for like a day commit her she must be her screen time must be insane because she's constantly posting the videos then i'm sure she reads through the comments she deletes it if it's not going well like her screen time's got to be 14 hours a day i don't think the girl sleeps no she has a thought and she's like oh shit i'm in the shower let me pop out of the shower real quick grab my phone record the thought upload it i'll go then wash my hair again. And then, oh my God, I have another one. Let me get out. Like, just take a breath, girl. Yes. Yes. Take a breath. Okay. Read us the apology. I want to address my earlier Instagram posts about the Super Bowl halftime show. My post did not fully reflect my heart or my respect for the artists and the culture as a whole. The Super Bowl is such a huge American tradition. And while I personally didn't connect with the creative direction of this year's halftime show, that doesn't take away from the fact that Bad Bunny is, I-S, capital, and American, and that the Spanish language is a prominent aspect of American culture. Evidently, my lack of awareness of the Latin culture led me to mistaken the flag as Cuban. It's just so embarrassing. I sincerely apologize and plan to learn from this in the future. America is special because people from every culture and background can come here, share their talent, and make their dreams come true. That diversity is something I truly respect. My intention was never to offend anyone's culture or language, and I'm deeply sorry to those I hurt. I should have taken more time to reflect on my thoughts instead of impulsively posting misinformation in the moment. I apologize to the Latin community and anyone else I have offended. I'm always learning, always growing, and I appreciate the opportunity to clarify my heart and move forward with more thoughtfulness. Okay, I will say this is very well written. I know she didn't write it, you know? I mean, there's literally chat GBT. This is such a bullshit response. She had time to make the meme. Yeah. So, but those were off the cuff thoughts. It's like, Taylor, you were offensive. Also when she was like, and people can come to America to share their talents. He's an American citizen. I know. It's bad. It's like, shut up. They just, baby. You're still wrong. They don't understand. And they won't. And they won't. They're just pissed that they got caught from saying something stupid. And, oh, wow, people don't agree with that. It's just, I'm so, I'm so sick of it. Anyways, but keep going. Okay. R.I.P. James Vanderbeek passed. Very sad. Very sad. So sad. 48, I think. Was it colon cancer? So sad. I mean, Dawson's Creek for me was just so pivotal in my, like, teen years of growing up. Was I a teen? Not clear. Pre-teen? Oh, definitely middle school. The vocabulary was giant. in that show. I just remember not understanding a lot of the vocabulary. They used big words. I remember that. I would like to go back and watch. Okay. Lisa Renna is promoting her book right now. I want it. She's kind of been on the circuit. She was on Jeff Lewis. I think it was Gibson that had talked about that, like right out of the gate, she talks about Beverly Hills. It sounds like she's owning it, baby. So I want to read that. It feels like it would be a good one. Uh-huh. And by read that, I mean listen. Of course, Courtney, of course. All right. Let's get into these episodes because I want to talk Beverly Hills. I want to talk the Valley Persian style. But I would love your overall thoughts on Beverly Hills this week. I loved it. I know. I'm obsessed with this season. I'm loving the fallout between Doreen and Kyle. I think Rachel is a breath of fresh air. I still don't know why Amanda is a part of this. However, I almost dare I say, I felt like they were bullying her at her own house. It felt weird. I don't like the girl. Right. But it was strange. I'm with you on that. I was like, why am I feeling bad for her? Here's a problem I had with the beginning of the episode. So they're setting us up. They're doing flashbacks of Dorit and Kyle's friendship. I'm like, oh, wow, this Hamptons trip must go so south because we're getting, Look at them being friends. Wow. We've had so many memories, blah, blah, blah. And then nothing happened this episode for it. It's all in the midseason trailer that it's coming. Save it for the fight. That was very confusing. Yeah. So I'm like, oh, my God, what happens in the Hamptons? Like, wow, wow, wow. And they got they were having a blast. Let's start from the beginning because we are we are going to the Hamptons. We're at Rachel Zoe's house. Rachel is still so annoyed that she is working over the summer. She's like, God, this is a killer. All I want to do is be in the Hamptons. I assumed she had a Hamptons home. I was wrong. Shocked she doesn't. But she's like, I got to get there. I'm going to invite my girls. Dorit couldn't be more excited to be invited. She's like, I will get PK to actually watch the kids because I cannot miss this trip. Rachel Zoe wants to be my friend. Nothing can upset me. She needs a vacation. She's going to do anything to get there. She's like, Kyle's there? No problem. I'll just ignore her or I'll just talk to her. I don't care. Whatever you want me to do, Rachel, tell me. Yeah. Being on Rachel's Hamptons trips, like I'm obsessed. And like, we know. We all are. We're all kind of vicariously living through Dorit right now as a Rachel Zoe fan. Absolutely. I wonder how they come up with this. You know, like, are they like, we really want to get Kyle and Dorit together so you can only invite them two? I would just love to know the background of that. Especially because I would have loved to have all of the girls on the Hamptons trip. It felt very A squad, B squad. You could tell Erica at Amanda's house was like, I mean, she says it, but is like, what do you mean Dorit and Kyler in the Hamptons? I'm here with the money queen, Matt. Like, what? Like, she was pissed. And she should have been on that. I mean, we should have brought them back. Remember, I just keep thinking about that one Hamptons trip that they went to where Bethany had to come and tell Erica that she was, like, doing too much with her music videos. God, she's such a bitch. I know. Oh, she's we should have known then. I think Bethany changed. I think she was really likable at the beginning, but the fame got to her. But let's stop talking about her. Kyle is very hesitant to go. She is like, oh, I don't know. OK, well, if we fight, I'll just get on the plane ride home. No big deal. I'm Reg. And it's just like, OK, we're all the three of us are going to the Hamptons. And that is fine. I'm OK with this group. I do think you're right that there was something about we need to, like, see where this is going with Kyle and Dorit. You know how Kyle calls Mo to hear about the Mo and Dorit lunch? Yes. And then it just, like, made me think in my mind because I do think he cheated on her. I can't imagine if someone cheated on you that you'd be calling them to get gossip. I need to know what really happened. Why don't you think this has been going on for years and that it's just been kind of a quiet secret? She sweeps everything under the rug. Or is the cheating to her like talking on Instagram or? You think that all he was doing was sending bad DMs? I don't know. Their relationship is so interesting. It just made me think because I can't imagine if someone cheated on me multiple, multiple, multiple times that you're calling them for goss. But she's trying to hold on to the past here. And I think maybe she cheated on Mo with Mo. Right. You know, maybe it's tit for tat there. But I think that we'll never know. Because they wanted to talk about them going to this VIP lounge, which is where we also went when we went to Reba's last year. Because that girl that was their concierge, she was their concierge as well with Garcelle's. Barbie? And Kyle. The you remember that is actually insane. Sorry. They have to get there so early. 4.30 in the morning. Kyle's also so mad that Dorit is late. But she also not late because the plane hasn taken off They not flying private They still flying commercial Yeah I was so confused You know but caviar at 4 is that a rich people thing That must be. That doesn't sound good. It does not sound delicious. Why were they having three cappuccinos each? Wouldn't you want to sleep on the plane? Well, it could be an appetite suppressant. For Rachel, I feel like it is. She is the Starbucks queen. I mean, her best accessory is her Starbucks cup. She needs a deal. she does if she doesn't have a sponsorship yet she really does need that although do you think she would think she's too above a brand deal of starbucks or like anything that's not rachel zo branded no no i also she was on watch what happens live last night i thought her outfit was interesting is it versace or it's like that pattern that you see all the time it's one of the big designers i just saw the train of it that they really had like laid it out for her i didn't i I only saw one clip where she said she connected with Jesse Lally at BravoCon. What? Andy asked, like, oh, have you connected with any other Bravo loves? And she's like, oh, my God, yes. I presented with him. She did the Bravos. Remember, they presented together. And she's like, and we really connected. And Andy's like, I saw chemistry. She's like, not like that, Andy. But he's like, no, no. She's like, he was just very nice because the back of my dress was really low and I didn't want it to be so exposed when I turned around. So he said he would, like, block me walking away. Oh, connection. Are you jealous? No. Okay. No. I mean, look, if he comes back on our screen soon and is likable, could it reignite something in me? Yeah. If he sends some March madness photos with his nips hard again. I don't know. Remember that photo he sent? We'll have to wait and find out. I mean, it's coming soon, you guys. March is right around the corner. Yes. Like tomorrow we are halfway through the month. This year's flying, this month, everything. Yeah. Going back to Rachel's outfit, that was a miss for me. It just felt too designer, if you know what I mean. I don't. Okay. So tell me more. I just thought it was too flashy. What? Yeah. No, she is flashy, but very flashy of that brand. You don't even know the brand. I know. Courtney, just stay on my wavelength. Why don't we take a break and then we'll try to match up during the break. So Dorit's whole thing is like she claims she was late because PK was watching the kids when she was in the Hamptons. So she blames PK. Talks about it on the after show, though, that basically he was they went to mediation. It was a meet emergency mediation because he wants those kids Thursday through Sunday every other week. And correct me if I'm wrong, that's eight days. And how many days are in the month, Mary? 30. Yeah, 30, 31. He wants to have eight days. Yeah. So eight out of 30 days, and he's the best dad ever. He was supposed to pick him up Thursday. He apparently didn't pick him up. I thought on the after show she said he was supposed to pick him up on Thursday. Didn't even happen to pick him up until Friday. Yes. And then he was supposed to drop him off like Sunday night and did like Sunday midday. Mm-hmm. and then didn't show up the following week to grab them. And you guys want to have to fed this piece of shit. Not you guys. I know we're all on the same side, but there are people out there. Mo went into this lunch, I feel like, with the best intentions, trying to help. And he has clearly seen text messages between Dorit and PK. He claims to have seen some financials. And Dorit is like, absolutely not. He has sent me no spreadsheets. He doctors the text messages. I do think PK is a master manipulator. I do think Mo sincerely believes that PK has the best intentions. I don't think Mo lied at that lunch at all, but he has been sold a false story, as Dorit is saying. And it was tough. I'm with you on that. I don't think Mo was lying. I think he was like, I think he literally was like, well, PK showed me things. Okay, here's my theory, you guys, about this spreadsheet about finances. Okay. I think at one point he sent Dorit a link to a Google Doc. Okay. There was nothing in the Google Doc. So she gets it and she's like, okay, what is this? Clicks into it. There's really nothing in there. Maybe it's a template of some sort and he's going to fill out what the finance is. Then he copy pastes something in there, clicks it and shows Mauricio. So Mauricio says this whole document and Dorit's like, that was never even anything because it's not going to update her. Hey, there's updates on this spreadsheet. And so she's like, oh, OK, yeah, he sent me a link. But now all of a sudden, let's go into the edits. I'd like somebody to go into that Google Doc. Let's click on the time and let's see when edits were made versus when that text was sent. Because I noticed, too, is that we don't get any resolution about the text combos. And I think PK is a Disneyland dad. I think he wants to ruin Dorit's life. He goes, hey, I'm in town, Dorit, and I want to see my kids now. And she's like, okay, sorry. They're at dance. They're at tennis. They have this whole routine. And you want to come fuck everything up so that you can be the best dad ever and come in and save the day and then leave. They get to have a great time with you. And then I'm here to clean up the mess and put them back to regular. Right. No, and he's just inconsistent. He's not showing up when she's given him the opportunity to show up. He doesn't show up at the right times. He's inconsistent. She can't rely on him. She's the sole provider, really, of their lives. So she can't bend over backwards to appease him and to make him see the kids. It's not fair. I think what's frustrating is like, yeah, Dorit is annoying, sure. And she talks a lot. And she's probably gabbing and talk, talk, talk, talk, talking. But it's like Dorit's a good mom. and so i find that very annoying like he did this with his previous wife and his other kids where he abandoned them as well so yeah history repeats itself her also being like and now he's drinking and then mauricio trying to defend his drinking it's like sit this one out mo we got a dinner we have a glass of wine we aren't like pounding tequila sodas i still think about when mauricio and pk met up with kyle cook and jesse solomon in miami and and kyle was djing in one of those like Airstreams. Yes. At a party. And those two old dorks showed up. And I'm like, just don't bullshit me. It's just like so frustrating because it's like PK had one funny season when he said, no, LeBron, do the ankle. We all loved him for that. But I'm like, he's still disgusting from Pantygate because he looked up Erica's dress. He's a disgusting loser who's broke and ugly. and he's a bad dad so i think you kind of summarized that for all of us i think it was nice for mo to try i don't think he's getting the full story he's here he was pk's soldier it didn't work good for dorit for standing up for herself i think what's annoying in this situation as well though is that mo has had it we've talked about this too his kid their kids are older they Him and Kyle are in a completely different situation and neither of them have had to deal with this sort of thing. Right. Like I believe that with Kyle and Farrah and her ex that they probably had a really good relationship as well because they were younger and whatever. But like they don't have a situation. So like they can't relate, which is why Rachel can so much relate to Dorit, because she's like, I do have like an antagonistic ex. Like, we don't get along. Like, Kyle does a lot of the legwork to sweep things under the rug so that she can have a decent relationship with Mauricio, which allows Mauricio to really do whatever the hell he wants. Yeah. You can't compare the relationships. Yeah. And so I feel like if Mo and Kyle had some sort of contention between them, they both could be more understanding towards the situation that she's in. And yet they can't. And so they really think that PK is telling the truth. Like, you guys? That guy? I think they're getting sold a false story. And I do genuinely think Mo was trying to help and bring them together. And it didn't work. Okay. Dorit literally says in the beginning of the conversation, I can't communicate with him. He won't talk. And then Mauricio ends the conversation with saying, it sounds like you guys need to talk. Oh, you think? It's like, that's what was like so fresh. I'm like, stop pushing this man on us. And then he's like, oh, so I got a client. I got to go. She's like, just go. just get out of here i thought i could have some sort of movement here this was such a waste of my time it's a waste of his time him being like on the phone too when she comes in like he's so important i mean he literally told us he has a lot of time that's why he's starting a dj career moment he's not that busy it's like what's the next show he's gonna pop on like are they like trying to like throw him into different shows so that he could have a spinoff on Bravo. Put it on Netflix. We don't want it here on Bravo. Stop taking over our women-led shows. We already had it on Netflix and it didn't work. I know. So that's what I'm saying. Just keep it over there. Right, right. I'm sorry. This coffee is kicking in today. Okay, moving on. Let's go to Sutton talking to Porter. I also have a theory that Sutton, she never really speaks poorly of a Christian. I wonder if he has some type of NDA on her. She never goes into detail or specifics. Do you feel that? I do think that. We don't know a ton about him. Or she's scared of him. Yeah, I think it's also crazy, too, is that this all happened last year. And now the storyline is happening this year, which does that actually explain a lot of her behavior last season is because she was going through all this, but like couldn't talk about it at the time? I also feel bad for her because she keeps on saying the marriage isn't recognized. I'm like, yes, it is. Not in the eyes of the Catholic Church, which is still wild that he was able to get that unold, to be honest. Money talks. You have to go to the Vatican. It's not like that. But I think if you do a big donation towards the church, you could probably get a lot of things accomplished. Money talks in any circle. I don't know about that. But anyways, I would be curious what he put to get the annulment. A 20-year marriage and you think that it's irreconcilable differences? It would be like cheating. It would be like they aren't the person that they said they were. I'd be very curious what he does. After all of these years to have that sort of thing, it's like, no, he just wants to get married in the church again and he'll tithe a lot of money. I feel sad for her because I think it must be hard. Like, you have this identity as Sutton Strack. And she said it before, right? That means the marriage is definitely over. It's like it has been over. And if you need to confront it now, you need to confront it. But I also think it sometimes can be scary, too, is like, I did love having the same last name as my children. and that's what I think is really bothering her is calling Porter to be like, she wants Porter to be like, you do whatever you want, mom. Like you will always be my mom. And Porter's like, so I do have to go to work. Sutton asks, it doesn't make me less as your mother. She's like, no, go do what you want. I don't care. And they talk about it on the after show and Amanda, she's like, she told me it's Sutton Brown. So I said, I'm only going to call you Sutton Brown. I'm like, yeah, because you hate her. Jennifer Tilly saying she shouldn't become Brown like Brown is a bad last name. I'm like, Jennifer, keep that to yourself. If she wants to go out on her own and start this new brand and, you know, it's like Shannon Storms Bedore. Like she's people call her Shannon Storms now. Like people will adjust. I think it was just also funny, too, because she was like and then my friend Barbara, she saw a seagull that flew over her and she went by Barbara Seagull for a long time. It didn't stick, but, you know, she did do that. Jennifer, there was not enough Jennifer Tilly for me in this episode. The after show, I think she also was just saying, like, it seems for Sutton it's really hard to go back to Brown. And so Sutton wants to just give herself a completely different name, then go for it. Like, whatever makes you feel that this is who your identity is. And if Sutton Brown is so hard for you to go back to, don't. But I think she wants to be Sutton Brown. Sutton Segal. I hear it's available. I feel good about Sutton wanting to change her name. I think she should be a brown, go back to her roots. I think the name thing is tough. I did not change my name. I thought I would always change my name. We can have two separate last names. I feel bad for Sutton. And I think she said some important things. She's like, you know, around 50, things start to change, you know, physically, emotionally. I'm becoming an empty nester. I spent so much of my life being a mom. And it's like, who am I now without these kids? So she's trying to find her new identity. And you talk a lot that happens at the same time. I think she is Sutton Brown and I like Sutton Brown. I do too I think she having a great season Okay should we talk about Amanda and her manifestation moment dinner Her FaceTiming everybody and Bo face this whole time because here what also funny about the situation She lucky that Rachel couldn come She probably lucky that Kyle couldn't come, even though in the after show she does bring Kyle her gift bag. The gift bag was very embarrassing. It was a journal. It was a cup with a straw. It was an Amazon cup, by the way. I I have those for my iced coffees. And you know what? Those tops actually give you splinters. She's so millennial to me, but focused on the Gen Z. She's preying on the Gen Z people, the therapizing, the way that she speaks. Praying P-R-E-Y, guys, too, because it's manifesting in the P-R-E-Y way, which you were saying, too, that that was what Bose was saying. When I was thinking about this, I watched the episode and then they're talking about it. I'm like, manifesting is just praying. And Bo's talks about how she prays for things. And it was so funny in the after show, them manifesting. And Amanda's like, I want a house in Newport. I need it to have enough rooms for my millions of kids. And everyone else is like, I'm manifesting world peace and like sweet, tender moments. And hers is just like money, money, money, money, money. Like, that's the funny thing is like when it comes to like manifesting, she keeps talking about all these things like her breaking down about Malibu Barbie's dream house and how it's not lost on her when she moved to Malibu as if she all of a sudden accidentally fell into a house and then was like, this is three stories. the dolphins in the ocean as if she like didn't get it's the whole thing is so crazy watching her i giggle at her i'm like laughing at her there's never laughing with her but everything she just does and like bows is all of us but we would be like you and i would be you know elbowing each other under the table per usual like kicking each other being like texting on the side being like you gotta be freaking kidding me bows is just like what the hell kind of name is this dinner Manifestation moment dinner? Like, what is this? Bo's was on her ass. I love Bozy, but I thought it was a little much. You came to someone's home, they told you what you were going to do, and you're kind of spinning on it. Talk behind her back. Exactly. I just thought it wasn't a great look for her. I did weirdly feel bad for Amanda here. Well, I felt bad because she's hosting this dinner about manifestation. Like you said, just play the game. Like Erica was playing the game, whatever. But her trying to tell Bose how to manifest money as if Bose is not this big CEO at all these different companies where she's been like this marketing guru. Like she has like all of this wealth of knowledge. Trying to tell Kathy Hilton how to manifest when she's like a Bo Gillian era over there. Like Natalie Fuller who's divorcing this guy, Simon Fuller, who's money, money, money. And like her main things are about money. is just so funny to me to put all these women in a room and then be like, okay, and let's like manifest. And they're like, so what is it normally like when you do this? She's like, it is quiet. Because people are journaling. Yes. I also wish they would kind of break the fourth wall here and just say, we're kind of don't trust Amanda. We've done a lot of research on her. We Googled her. We know she was in a cult. We think she's doing an MLM. What is the ROI? Why? You know, she's selling manifesting. Like, you're taking money for people to make money. What is the return on investment here? I don't know. It just needs more. They don't trust her. Why don't they trust her? It needs to be more open. You don't want them to, like, tiptoe around. It's like, just say it out loud. Like, she's a scam. And I think in the preview that we do see for the rest of the season, she says, like, they're building this case for me to be a scam artist. And it's like, I think you built that yourself. But, you know, it's just getting exposed. I did think it was funny, though, when she was, you know, inviting everyone and Kyle said, well, are you inviting Dorit? And she's like, well, now I don't have to. She's like, I manifested that. Is it you manifested Rachel hosting a Hamptons trip that you weren't invited? Wow. I do need to sign up for this course. Value $26,000 for $299 today. Them trying to make it a thing that she didn't invite Dorit when Dorit couldn't come anyways. is so lame to me. I'm like, she couldn't have come. It doesn't matter if she didn't invite her. It does not matter. Dorit and Amanda are both somewhat in the wrong with their situation. Like, I do think at this point, she does keep bringing up that she was talking about her son, and it does feel like she's using that a little bit as a crutch here now. But it's like, Dorit did do that. And Dorit really hasn't, I don't think her apology was really that real when she gave it. I feel like they needed a one-on-one of some sort. It's just probably not going to happen. But like you said, they all started pouncing on her being like, you just really were blaming Kyle. You were blaming Kyle. Now Kyle and Dorit are in a fight. Meanwhile, they're gallivanting in the Hamptons having a grand old time. Sutton was like, well, Dorit told me I wasn't defending her. So I really had to turn it on on this dinner. She says that in the after show, I think, right? Sutton came in like a soldier. Like Sutton was like, gonna take down Amanda. Amanda, you need to cop to it. I'm gonna give you some advice. You had an opinion about Dorit's marriage. Then you said you were repeating Kyle. You're a big girl. Kyle can fight her own battles. Just say that you said something about someone's marriage and cop to it. Kept going. Kept going. And Amanda's like, so you have mentioned that a few times now. I get it. The way, though, that Sutton said, out of your guts. I've rewound that so many times. And she's like, guts, like guts. I'm like, Bo's backing her up. I'm like, this cast has never been more united than when Amanda joined this show. I don't understand how she was cast. It just does not make sense. I genuinely wish they would come on and tell us what they were thinking of this. I don't even care. I am, like, loving it. Her even when she was hosting, you know, and she's got her husband comes in the room or fiance because she manifested the kids and him. But she was like, remember how you told me that Dorit's not allowed in our house if she's going to talk to me that way and blah, blah, blah, blah. And he was like, yes. She's so funny. What did you think about her orange and gold dress? She has terrible fashion. Her fashion is so bad. I mean, she really is, like you said, that millennial, but she's like a robot millennial who they've programmed all the buzzwords for her to say. So she's like, moment. It's a moment. Like, yeah, you know, manifest. They've gone to like the Shein website and grabbed like the top sellers. And that's what she purchases. And she's so stuck in the 2000s, like the aughts. I love it. Like, I don't like her. I love her on this show just watching the way that she speaks, the way that she thinks she's going to, like, take control of these women and the disdain that they have for her. Right. And another point about the after show, Amanda is now sitting by herself on the after show. Also, the after show set is so ugly. It's so distracting. It's like a disco ball curtain or something. It is so ugly, low budget warehouse vibes. I didn't even notice. It's bad. But anyway, so Sutton's like, you can't be such a wimp, Amanda. Come on. And then she's like, I'm just going to eat my salad now with the dressing. Please don't come into my home and call me a wimp. And then they give this cunt montage about all the times that everybody in this cast has been called a cunt as if that makes it better. It is true, though. Like, you come into her house and you guys have been insulting her from the moment you came in because you all are like, this is ridiculous. You've all made fun of that mat, which is hilarious and ha ha. But, like, you guys all came in negative. Right. Not one of you came in excited to be there because you all can't stand her. And then she is trying. She's not self-aware, but she is trying. Well, and she has no one to go to and rely on. I mean, she's been filming the most with Kyle, but she doesn't have backup. Kyle's going to do what's best for the show. And if that means going against Amanda, she sure will. Yeah. I mean, even Kathy, like, kind of says to read the room. Mm-hmm. Read the room. And then Bo's being like, so what other advice can we give you? I did feel bad for her, even though she's terrible. I mean, and I thought Erica was actually maybe Erica was kind of playing along because she was like, I'd like to manifest financial freedom. And then everyone's like, oh, I'm going to write that down to freedom. Yeah. Freedom. Uh-huh. Yeah. Financial freedom. Yeah. She's like, OK, great. Either don't come or like turn it up to 100 like Sutton. Right. Make it make a stance here because. Don't do something. Yeah. Do something. Like do something. Either come after her or just don't be passive aggressive. Yeah. Because we want to we want to be watching stuff. Right. Right. OK, let's go to the Hamptons. OK. So Susan, who's Susan? We don't know. She's rich. Rachel's sister's there. Pamela. They all are like, we're all divorced. No, no, actually, not me. Not not me. I'm just I'm not divorced. We're just we're all husbandless this weekend. She really wanted people to know she is not the D word. Well, she didn't want to be lumped in. And Dorit said, well, you're the only one that hasn't filed. And Rachel's kind of talking about last summer and how she was being forced out of and down her mouth. And her sister was like, you got to do something. You got to figure this out. And clearly she has. She filed for divorce. But it looks like the paparazzi was all around them this weekend. I remember them going to Surf Lodge. Oh, you do? Yes. Like, Summer House was there as well. It was definitely a weekend. Mary, I literally put on threads, I said, imagine Rachel takes Kyle and Dorit to the Summer House, and DJ Kyle Cook is playing in the house, and they are sending it. Like, imagine that crossover. I'm hoping next week we do get to go to the Surf Lodge. Are they allowed to film there? Unclear. I mean, maybe for Beverly Hills and not Summer House. Okay. Yeah. I don't know. I don't know. I didn't realize that there was an actual run-in. I was just thinking how funny it was that we could find them together. This looked like so fun. I felt like Rachel was in her happy place. She's so connected there. She's running into Donna Karan. Kyle is starstruck in this moment. She's talking about her old-fashioned days. Oh, Michael Kors was so nice to me. They are just, like, enthralled by RZ. Kyle, when Donna Karan came up, I don't know if you heard too, she was like Kyle Richards because she was hoping like the name recognition of Kyle Richards would register for Donna. That's the first time I've ever seen Kyle on this show, like be starstruck. Like this is just Rachel's life. And then Donna's like, I belong in LA. Rachel's like, but you're so New York. It's like, yeah, Donna Karan, New York, DKNY. Mm-hmm, I know. Like we all grew up with DKNY. Right, right. But I just love seeing Kyle starstruck Almost be like a little girl in a way. It was endearing. Just excited. Yeah, it was endearing. She's having a fan moment. That's so fun. Then Rachel's like, I just cannot take it. The insecurity of these men between 40 and 55. They don't think they have enough money. They're jealous of their strong wife. And then they just start to pander. They can't handle us. And Dorit's like, I know. And this is exactly what happened in Dorit and PK's marriage. And the confessional of Dorit saying, PK, I'm not Ken Todd. I am not going to walk behind you with a dog. The truth is, he always craved the spotlight, which we knew. But I loved that moment for her that she was able to say it out loud. And I 100% believe her. Yeah. I 100% believe that he was not happy with Dorit getting more of the spotlight than him. And this has happened in so many housewife marriages where the men always had the money and then they get notoriety and famous from the show and get brand deals and all of that stuff. And you can either be a Melissa and Joe Gorga and do it together or you can be a Dorit and PK. To be fair, though, that I would say Jersey is its own thing because it was so family related. I think you have such a good point, though, is all of a sudden when the women become more independent, it's just so, God, men and their egos are so fragile. Not all men, we know. How many people that have done multiple Housewife seasons have stayed together? That would be a very interesting question. What is the median age? Okay, Salt Lake City, Justin, Meredith, and Lisa, they're also together with their men. They kind of almost a little bit like Jersey too in a sense They tried to be They tried to make them that Truly I think a lot of these women come on this show We seen so many divorces Heather and Terry DeBrow would be a good example. Heather's smart, though, and she lets Terry be the star. Well, and has helped him. I was going to say he also had botched. He had his own thing. He started with the swan. Like, she's played it smart. If you want to stay together, she knows what she has to do. Yeah. But I feel like a lot of housewives marriages break up because the women get more famous. The roles change. Being either the beta partner or not even like some of them have turned into the breadwinner. And just to have those dynamics change, changes the relationship. And if they can't grow together, it doesn't work out. And not saying all of the men are the fault of the relationship. It's just when those dynamics change, things change. Totally. And it is really crazy because, and we've talked about this before, too, is like these women are getting these roles, if you will, later in life. Which I love. I love it. Oh, I love it, too. And so it's just like the status quo is totally different. And it's a second life for a lot of them. Absolutely. And they're thriving. Yeah. The midseason trailer, we're going to Italy. Dorit has a spending problem. We saw that 11K Minnie Kelly that she was packing. Erica has the very raw moment talking about shame and some physical abuse, it seems like. We supposedly are going to hear about the cult. I have a feeling we will learn nothing about the cult. Sutton goes after Dorit. Erica going after Dorit. It looks to be a jam-packed rest of the season. We have been enjoying this season since the beginning. I think a lot of people this week have finally been like, oh, wait, is Beverly Hills actually good? I'm like, my God, this season has been so good. The return of Rachel, the addition of Amanda, just the honesty that a lot of them have given. I think it's been a fantastic season. Especially for Sutton Brown. Yeah. Guts! Guts! Should we take a break and come back with the Valley Persian style? Yes. And I'm still going to call it Shaw's. There's only a couple more episodes. I want to say this is episode seven. We're only getting nine episodes. No reunion. I hate that we're not getting a reunion. They deserve a reunion. I feel like it's the same as the first Valley. Maybe that they're not doing the reunion. Mercedes was on Jeff Lewis, and she seemed to think that it was going to get picked up for a second season. So we will see. I can't imagine it wouldn't. I think this has been a great season getting reintroduced, getting introduced. Can I be honest? Tell me. I think I'm turning on Amir Oh I felt like I saw some controlling vibes this week With the vasectomy? Well, the Amazon packages at first Because they're hosting a pool party And he was like And what did you get for yourself? I'll be opening every single package I didn't like that Okay Then the vasectomy combo, yes Granted, he did offer condoms first And she said she didn't want to go on birth control But then he was like Well, what about Like, aren't those reversible? Okay, I did not like when he said, if I'm with someone else, I might need it. That was very strange. In his confessional, he did say, you know, with my first wife, we were really trying. So it does feel weird to take that away. That was better for me. But you've already had three kids. I didn't like this. Yeah, it made me turn on him a little bit. Also, what your body does is insane. and she did it three times like give the girl what she wants and that's a vasectomy and you know what she can just withhold if this is okay yeah we'll show you amir yeah you go natasha okay what did you think so in the beginning right we pick up where we left off last week and that's with tannin uh jumping into sky it sounded like tannin also didn't know that she was getting bombarded with Skye for with Reza Jackson. Him taking the purses, though, so that they couldn't leave was so funny. He's a cutie. I am team Tannen. Skye really cannot let go of Grudges. She's almost Gigi-esque, not physical, but her temper is strong. And poor Bombshot. I mean, talk about highlighting your marriage. Imagine what happens when the cameras are off. It's scary. she's scary she just feels like she's one of those people she's scorpio i don't know she feels like she's black or white and there's no gray there's no in between if you did something wrong she will not forgive you she will never forget it and she can't move forward there there is no gray area for her she's scary i don't think she's scary i don't i wouldn't use scary okay i wouldn't use scary for her. Everyone was against her at that. And she was looking like, I think when she was talking to Tana and she was like, I can't believe that you didn't come to me to talk to me. You went to Reza. And Reza has decided because Reza, again, picks every picks one person every season to go after. And Skye is the person he's going after. So she's like, I thought we were like real friends. And they probably came onto the show to like, let's not let this show affect our friendship. and the cracks are already starting. And Skye is like, you could have defended me at any point. And yes, okay, maybe Tannen pays like wholesale or like whatever just the cost of the product is. But she's like, but I give it to you basically for free. Like I'm not making money off of any piece. And then Tannen, she wants to have like closure and repair, but it's just, there's something underlying that they like can't say on the camera. And I don't want their friendship to be affected by this because I'm team both of them. I don't want Reza to ruin their friendship. I also feel like Sky is going to come into the problem because reality TV is good because you have to apologize, you have to listen, you have to move forward. And I don't think she's going to be able to do that. I mean, the fact that she didn't go to the party at the end because she was, I think, quote unquote, in Vegas, I think she's going to have some problems. Well, that dinner with Bombshod was tough when they started talking to each other, being like, you don't support me. You've never had my back. But I think they're self-centered. I think those are fights so that they have often. And she's pissed it was on camera. It just is not a good look for either of them. I also think, too, with their life is like when he was older, she was the waitress. I think he had more money at that point. And now that they don't have that much money, she's like, but you gave me this lifestyle. and now he's saying, oh, we can't move from the valley, but he's been telling me for a while, we can move from the valley. He's been telling me these things for years that yeah, yeah, yeah, we're gonna be able to do this. And so when I'm holding him to it, all of a sudden now it's not a good idea. It just feels like they're not a partnership. It feels like they're not working together. It feels like they're against one another. I mean, in that dinner scene, I felt bad for both of them. We don't need to expose our marriage except that we are. And speaking of exposing marriages, let's talk some MJ Tommy. I thought they had a nice combo here when they were painting. What about the previous combo, though? He's great TV. She's clearly stressed about money. He is like trying to launch this podcast thing. He feels like very much a dreamer. She feels like the realist. She's like, no, I need to sell a house so we can get some income like right now. Like you can continue to work on the podcast, thing, but we need money now. I'm so desperate. I am going to sell Gigi's sister's house, even though she's going to be so mad at me about it. But I need the money. What do you think, though? Because she said she was a stay-at-home mom, and then once Shams was going into kindergarten, she was going to start working again, which is why we see her. So what was she doing for the last five years to make money? Their podcast must make money. Yeah, I think living off the podcast, living off of old Shaw's money, but eventually that just runs out. Yeah. Yeah. She brings up filming with Reza and she's basically saying, I need this TV show to make money. You and like you need to like make up with Reza. His delivery is terrible because he gets so angry. But again, he is in the right. He went to jail. He had to go to anger management. This wasn't just something. This was a lot of stuff that really affected his life. And you want me to just be OK with Reza so that you can have this TV show. and I'm letting you have the TV show, but I don't need to be a part of it. I don't want to be the subject that then all of a sudden I show up to filming at something maybe even Reza is not at. And wow, what is the subject? Oh, Tommy's finally here. I'm going to get bombarded with questions. And I thought it was really telling when they went to the weed shop or the weed restaurant. And they had Reza send a text to Tommy, which felt such a violation of their marriage too for me personally. I did not like that. But finding out that Tommy responded and basically said he would be open after filming. I was shocked he even responded. Me too. To be honest. I don't think I would have. No. And that he was willing to do it after filming. Maybe for the second season they could have filmed together, but they're a part. I wonder if Tommy will be a part of the second season in some way. I could see her pushing for it because I think it also is like income for her, their kid. You said that they have a good, decent co-parenting relationship, right? They live like two blocks from each other. Yeah, so I could see that. But I just was like, MJ, please no, like you're falling into the trap of Reza. He's doing this for the show. He's so in the wrong. He's so untrustworthy. I completely agree with that. He works the camera and he works the stories, not really exposing his own life, getting people to go against one another. However, I will say, I think that MJ is already very checked out of the marriage, and I think she's going through the steps to make sure that she did everything before she's eventually going to leave. She seems very mellow and kind of checked out, and she knows what's going to happen, but she wants to make sure she did everything. But I feel like she's at a place where she knows kind of already, like, I don't think this is going to work long term. And I think they're probably going to be better apart. I mean, I really think this TV show was a big factor for her. If he doesn't want to be a part of this, I think I'll be okay. And I have the income from this. I'll sell a house. It's crazy because she's been friends with Gigi. She's been friends with Layla. They don't have a relationship. That's a whole other thing. I thought for one thing, I was like, maybe Reza has like one ounce of good in him when he was like, no, you can't have this Twilight. I was also confused about the twilight open house it was like you just get to pick any house you're selling to have an open house or like why are we picking leila's i was confused about the decision behind that but then that then thinking that gg would come to that right like what gg's like absolutely not i have to go to dennis's house right now to ask him for fourteen thousand dollars a month okay only three only three but he got our marriage annulled and then fucked my friend he owes me i'm like i don't think he owes you three thousand dollars a month alimony like what is you guys were married for less than a week it was annulled okay it was a ring pop yeah the thought process behind that what desperation it's not thought it's desperation like i'm gonna go be nice to Dennis and have him give me Gigi downsize the girl can't she's got a store of sex toys the sex toys somewhere yeah in the closets for all of her clothes and she hasn't worn anything on this show that I've been like wow that needs its own closet so true so true like nothing's been that night it's a lot of sweatpants and jeans not not that there's anything wrong with that just feels like how many of those do you need i'm not watching this show for the fashion yeah reza he meets up with tannin and i'm like tannin don't tell him shit don't tell him shit but she says too at one point i don't think reza is malicious and i said did you not watch nine seasons of shaz this is crazy if you don't think that he's a malicious person like that literally is the defining adjective of who he is on Shaw's. He was on what shows? He's been on Traitors, The Goat. I think that's it. I don't think he was on House of Villains. I feel like that's next. Yeah, that could be next. He just wants to tell everybody's dirt. He looked great on Watch What Happens Live. Okay. Not inside. Not on his insides, okay? As Alexis Polino once said, Why don't you eat makeup so that your insides can match your outsides? On that note, happy Valentine's Day. I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend. Happy Valentine's Day to you, Mary. You are my Galentine always and forever. Bye, everyone. Love you. Bye. Bye. Bye.
