Summary

Mark Levin's best-of episode covers geopolitical tensions with Iran, domestic policy failures in Democrat-run cities, and defends processed foods as beneficial innovations. The show emphasizes military preparedness, critiques progressive taxation policies, and argues against wealth taxes while praising industrial food processing's historical role in public health.

Insights
  • Progressive taxation rhetoric targets wealth accumulation to generate political anger rather than addressing actual economic needs or government waste
  • Industrial food processing innovations (pasteurization, canning, preservation) solved critical public health crises and remain nutritionally superior to historical alternatives
  • Democrat-controlled municipalities are implementing unsustainable fiscal policies that drive out productive residents and businesses through high taxation
  • Iran represents an existential threat requiring military action given regime's nuclear ambitions and track record of deception in negotiations
  • Media coverage systematically ignores law enforcement casualties while amplifying controversial police incidents, creating distorted public perception

It's all quiet in the underground bunker. Doors closed. Locks bolted. But the great one isn't just resting on his laurels. He's making sure your weekend is even better by giving you his best. This is the best of Mark Levin. Well, John Fetterman was on Fox News Saturday, and he was kind of appalled by AOC, as most regular Americans would be. And he said this in response to AOC trashing Israel, of course, because that's all she knows, you know. Cut 13, go. Why is she so eager to criticize and find a way to criticize Israel? But I don't really recall them saying anything as Iran was executing thousands and thousands of their protesters for that. Now, there was never any genocide in Gaza, absolutely. And there shouldn't ever be any conditions for aid for Israel because they were in an existential war. That's part of the problem with the very anti-Israel part of my party. So call that what it is. Why wouldn't you can't just stand? And why would you align yourself for raging anti-Semitic and very pro-Hamas people like Hassan Piker? And now, why can't you just call it what it is? you know, there's a rot in my party standing with pro-Hamas people like that, whether it's even in the New York Times, they're fascinated with him. So, I mean, where we are and call this is and stand with Israel, that's our special ally. And there was never a genocide. And when there is a genocide where you're executing tens of thousands of people in Iran, why not? And call that out too. Amen. Amen. Amen. You know, it's amazing. Even Hamas, I'm sure not intentionally said that 80% of those who the Israelis killed were part of their terrorist militia gang. 80%. And everybody's been citing that all over the place, on talk radio, on TV, on the Internet. So she didn't miss it. She just blows it up. So she and Mandami and Talib and Omar and Bernie Sanders and that whole crowd, well, basically 90 percent of elected Democrats are saying things about Israel and genocide that Hamas isn't even saying now. I want you to think about that. And there was no reason for AOC to even bring up Israel and God, but she did because she only knows certain slogans. And certain trigger phrases. That's it. She's a moron. And he's right. And I spent some time with our buddy Josh Hammer on Sunday going over, why aren't the Democrats criticizing Iran? Why aren't they challenging Iran? Why are they on the sidelines just shooting spitballs at the president in case he takes military action? You don't see any outrage there. You don't see any outrage by their billionaires who are funding their activists. you see nothing in the streets from the Islamists or the Marxists at the universities or colleges. You see absolutely nothing. Because they don't have a problem with it. That's the truth. They don't have a problem with Maduro killing and locking up people. Or Cuba killing and locking up people. They don't even criticize communist China. Which has two and a half, three million Uyghurs effectively in concentration camps. That has been murdering the Tibetans and now Christians. You hear nothing from these people. In fact, as Fox News Digital pointed out, and Chairman Jason Smith pointed out in his hearings and so forth, the Democratic Socialists of America organization that is behind Bernie Sanders, that is behind Mondami, that is behind AOC and that whole crowd, which is slowly but surely and not so slowly anymore devouring the Democrat Party leadership and politicians, is linked to communist China and communist Cuba and communist Venezuela. They're getting their talking points from them. They're getting zillions of dollars from billionaires in Europe and, of course, Soros and the United States to push this agenda to break up and break down the United States of America. It's stunning. What's taking place in this country? It's horrendous. And she's part of it. So even the questions... Look, she's never going to come on this show. Let's be honest. The questions are even kind of... I'm sure the questioner said, should the United States use troops to defend Taiwan? I thought... She probably thought it was a simple question. A simple question. so let's hear somebody who does know what the hell he's talking about benjamin netanyahu let's do this let us go to one second here let's start with cut 10 mr producer cut 10 netanyahu at the jerusalem summit yesterday commenting on some of this go The United States just issued a Security Council memorandum, and it described its vision of regional alliances and anchor countries. And it called Israel, you know, the model ally. The model ally. An ally that obviously believes in democratic principles, but is willing to fight for itself. We don't ask for American boots on the ground. We develop our own arms industry. By the way, that's something I discussed too with President Trump, with deep appreciation for American support given over the years by both parties, both sides of the aisle, for Israel's military assistance. But they are very committed now, like a laser, building their own military industry to support their activities. As a matter of fact, they're now cutting deals with India, with Germany, and supplying them. They have these big contracts now to help supply them with advanced military weaponry and technology. And it's never said enough, and it ought to be. The Israelis take the jets that they purchase from us with our support, and they add cutting-edge technology to them. They improve the jets, the F-35 as an example. They just got a contract from manufacturers here in the United States for the upgrade in the technological cutting-edge advantages that they bring to these machines. And they're getting like the F-35, then they're upgrading it, adding the technology and selling that information or giving it back to the United States. Same with these missile defense systems. I know the president has said he's tired of the Israelis taking credit, the Israelis built it. Because the Democrats in our Congress kept blocking Reagan, shutting down the government. Reagan shut it down too because he insisted he wanted money for the Strategic Defense Initiative. The Democrats in their media called it Star Wars, kept blocking them. Well, the Israelis signed a memorandum understanding to go ahead and develop the technologies for this, and they built the Iron Dome. And remember, this is a nation of 9 million people. maybe 8 million but maybe 9 that's it that's it and by the way their GDP I think is bigger than every single Arab country I believe that's true even though there's hundreds and hundreds of millions of them so that's Netanyahu's point there now what about these negotiations with Iran? And ladies and gentlemen, I've made my view clear. I made it clear Saturday night. I made it clear Sunday night for the entire program and my monologue. I've made it clear here scores of times. And I suspect very strongly there won't be any diplomatic agreement or negotiated agreement. We're going to act and take them out. I don't think we have any choice. And I suspect and I believe the president knows that. Let's go to cut eight. Go. I will not hide from you that I express my skepticism of any deal with Iran because, frankly, Iran is reliable on one thing. They lie and they cheat. But I said that if a deal is to be reached, it should have several components, several components that we believe are important not only for the security of Israel, but for the security of the world, the United States, the region, the world. The first is that all enriched material has to leave Iran. The second is that there shall be no enrichment capability, not stopping the enrichment process, but dismantle the equipment and the infrastructure that allows you to enrich in the first place. And the third is to deal also with the questions of ballistic missiles. There's an empty CER, a limitation of 300 kilometers, and Iran is supposed to adhere to it. Of course it doesn't. As the Rising Line operation by itself manifested, everybody knows that. And the fourth is stop the, dismantle the axis of terror that Iran has built. And Iran won't do one of those things. It won't even do one of those things in part. And it's just not going to, and even if it did, it's not going to honor it. I've spent a lot of time here, here first on radio, going over all these deals with North Korea, all these resolutions with the UN, all these activities involving North Korea and the EU and us, all the subsidies. We gave them billions of dollars. We even denuclearized South Korea. They're still denuclearized because North Korea promised it would not build nukes. So they built nukes. And now they have nukes. And South Korea does not. and we can't do that again. And Iran's never been weaker than it is now. That's not to say this would be easy. Nothing's easy. But it would be a lot harder if your children and grandchildren have to fight this because they're going to have to. Somebody's going to have to do this. Somebody is going to have to do this because those absolute genocidal maniacs that run that regime, They will fire nuclear weapons at this country just as easily as they mow down 50,000 of their own people and they're still murdering them. Mark Levin. Making your weekend even better. This is the best of Mark Levin. You know, ladies and gentlemen, there are certain things we conservatives expect from government. We don't expect a free handout. We don't expect it to do all the things it is actually doing. We can live without 80, maybe 90 percent of what it does. But we expect our government, local, state and federal to protect us. That's why they have police powers. Among other things. And we expect it when it runs a sewer system to ensure that the sewer doesn't pollute our rivers and lakes and our drinking water and the wildlife and our health. when it's leaking millions of gallons of puke, of crap, of human feces, like it is in Maryland, in the Potomac River, where it gets washed out eventually to the Atlantic Ocean. All these Democrats, I mean, let me be clear. Maryland is run 100% Democrat. D.C. 100% Democrat, Virginia now 100% Democrat, and all these counties and areas around the Potomac River. They can't even do the very, very basics. It's like that jerk newscom in California. Can't get water to the fire hydrants? Lies about it, pretends he's on the phone when somebody's questioning him. And this jerk, they think is presidential material or AOC who's got the IQ of a kumquat. All these people are good at is gaining more and more control. Agitprop and propaganda. They're so full of crap, it's not even funny. you've got a six foot pipe it's obviously not leaking feces it's pouring feces into the potomac river now if any private company was doing that all hell would break loose and the democrats would be screaming got it i don't necessarily disagree But when they're responsible for it, they yawn. It's as if nothing's happening. And then the National Democrats shut down FEMA. They don't fund FEMA. Why? Because they are defending, promoting illegal aliens who they refuse to deport. That's why. And the Democrats in Northern Virginia and Maryland and Washington, D.C. are too damn stupid to wise up. I would like to ask the Democrats, why do you move to Republican areas and ruin them? Why do you move to Republican areas, vote for Democrats who raise taxes, who regulate the hell out of small business and private property rights? You've already destroyed the place you came from. Now you go to another place and you destroy it. That's why I call you locusts. Because they don't want to personally pay high taxes, but they will vote for Democrats who will give them stuff. And then the high taxes come and then they move. They have no commitment to these communities. at this point you really have to be insane to be a Democrat in New York City You got to be out of your mind Out of your mind. This Mondami, get to him later. The stuff that this guy's doing, the people he's appointing, he might as well be wearing a white robe. He might as well be a Klan member. puts on this phony front and he knows exactly what he's doing to Kiefer it's open season in New York City just pathetic and he has in mind massive new taxes oh yeah massive new taxes gee who who could have guessed that all of us all of us and many of these democrats who voted for this now they're going to leave maybe they'll go to florida Texas Tennessee or at least some moderate states like Pennsylvania and then they'll screw them up they'll vote the same damn way and they'll screw them up so he's got this massive tax plan were you able to cut and paste this New York Times piece Rich No, I think I've got it. Right here. Hold on one second, America. I've got it. I've got it. I know. There it is. There it's not. You better resend it. Thank you. All right. I'm working without my laptop. I'm working off an iPhone. Have you ever tried that before? We have to go from page to page. It's annoying. But I'm here. I'm not leaving. They're worse things. Oh, here it is. Bear with me. We're live and national. No. Oh, there it is. Mondami threatens 9.5% property tax increase if a wealth tax is not passed. Affordability, anybody? And the Republicans are so stupid, they don't know how to jump on this. all they'll do is like, that's a lot. What the hell is he doing? No, it's more than that. He's destroying the middle class. He's destroying homeowners. And a wealth tax? A wealth tax. Wait until they get their foot in the door on that one. Mayor Zoran Mondami today proposed to raise property tax rates in New York City by nearly 10%, a measure he is casting as a last resort to be deployed if he cannot persuade Governor Kathy Hochul to raise income taxes on the wealthy. I'm so sick of this Marxist claptrap on the wealthy. And the standard for wealthy continues to lower and lower and lower. And you're wealthy, you're going to get the hell out of there. 10%, it's not worth it. It's not worth the crime. It's not worth the calls to prayer now all throughout the city. It's just not worth it. You say, you know what? I'm rich. I'm getting the hell out of there. I'm going to go to Florida and see if I can get an oceanfront property and pay no income tax. You know, people aren't stupid. If they can leave a high-tax area, a high-crime area, an area in which they're not welcome, they're going to leave. Isn't that amazing? The suggested 9.5% property tax increase would affect more than 3 million single-family homes, co-ops and condos, and over 100,000 commercial buildings. I thought it was just for the rich, Mr. Producer. The budget plan, Mr. Mondami's first since becoming mayor, totals $127 billion for a city. I think the whole state of Florida is like $180 billion. It would take effect July 1, following revisions and negotiations with the city council. That's like the Marxists negotiating with the Leninists. That's an increase from the current $122 billion spending plan. So it's a $5 billion increase. Mondami, the city's newly elected Democratic Socialist Mayor He's a Marxist Said a tax increase is necessary To close a $5.4 billion fiscal gap That has been blamed on inaccurate budgeting From his predecessor, former Mayor Eric Adams Eric Adams said he left Mr. Mondami With over $8 billion in reserves If I had to trust somebody It would be Adams over Mondami I can tell you that. These Marxists, their accounting is always kind of screwy, you know. City budgets must by law be balanced. You see, folks, he wants this money for the free supermarkets to do his thing. That's what he wants. So he's a liar. Should Mr. Mondami carry through on his threat to increase property taxes, the measure would raise an additional $14.8 billion over four years, according to budget documents. No, it wouldn't. Property values will go down and people are going to get the hell out, assuming they can sell. Property taxes are the only taxes mayors can control without approval from Albany, though the city council would have to approve the increase. But the mayor made it clear he would rather persuade the governor, who's up for re-election this year, to increase income taxes on the city's highest earners. Now, who would that be? He has repeatedly called for a wealth tax, but recently signaled he would most likely skip a rally planned for February 25 at the state cap on Albany to deepen that call. Earlier this week, Mondami received a major show of support from the governor, who announced an additional $1.5 billion of infusion of state funds into the city budget. several hundred million of that funding came from shifting the cost of programs for public health and youth services from the city to the state surely they mean from the state to the city I guess is what they're trying to say but literacy is not what it used to be at the New York Slimes the announcement comes as the mayor and governor attempt to deliver an ambitious state funded expansion of the child care system. See, this isn't about covering any debt. This is about massive new spending by a state that's out of control. Spending's out of control. The police power, that is, regulatory power, is completely out of control. By police power, I mean the regulatory bureaucratic power. God knows the police power is under attack. They have formed an unlikely partnership. The Ms. Hochul, a centrist, she's not a centrist anymore. I don't know what she used to be. She used to be a mannequin, a dummy. Then she fell into that slot when Cuomo resigned. She's a moron, and she's no centrist. They formed an unlikely partnership. Hochul, a centrist, hopes will help to endear her to New York City's progressives. In other words, she's selling out. Tuesday, Ms. Hochul reiterated her commitment to New York City, their fiscal well-being, but said she would oppose raising property taxes. But he's only raising property taxes on the wealthiest New Yorkers, Mr. Producer. Like on all of them. Anyone who owns a single-family home, you're going to get screwed. They throw that propaganda around. You're going to get a condo, an apartment, three million single-family homes. Isn't that all the single-family homes in New York City? Three million? What are there, eight million people there? Three million single-family homes are going to see massive increases in their property taxes. Single-family homes, co-ops and condos, and over 100,000 commercial buildings, you know, with little pizzerias and stuff like that. They're going to see a massive increase in property taxes that will be passed on to them. Has to be. For the little guy. So let me ask you. Is it more affordable to live in New York City or Miami, Florida? I'm just asking. Is it more affordable to live in New York or Florida? New York or Texas? New York or Tennessee? New York or anywhere else except California? affordability Republicans this is your issue use it for God's sakes Mark Levin you're listening to the best of Mark Levin three hours on radio may seem like a long time it's really not and so sometimes I lead with information or discussions or stories or whatever, that you might say, why is he leading with that? Because I don't follow the crowd, because sometimes I think there are things more important than the media looping the same story over and over and over and over again. And to give you an update on the looped stories. I'm a big critic of the media. I think there are so many wonderful opportunities, whether it's visual, whether it's simply oral in any respect, to really contribute to the well-being of society with actual facts and information and knowledge. And you make the final decision. Now, some of you are going to be very upset with what I'm going to say. As far as I know, my wife might be very upset with what I'm going to say because I made a decision 10 minutes ago to leave with this story. And I've been working on this program all day long. And yet, I came across this at the Free Press, which is a great site. And you don't have to always agree with everything in the Free Press, but it's very well done. Barry Weiss's operation. And it's entitled, In Defense of Processed Foods. Now, before I get to this, I've talked to you before about processed foods. and that without processed foods, about 100 years ago, people would have starved. You know, we talk about organic food now or fresh fruit and that sort of thing. What happened in the early 1900s and decades later, the population moved heavily from rural and more sparse areas into the cities. there was huge huge mobility and movement of people to try and get jobs and that includes immigration and so forth and so on so you had slums that were created and housing projects people were really dirt poor but this is the way they could find jobs they felt but there was no way to put fresh food freshly butchered beef. Beef would get rancid, but people couldn't afford to throw it away. They would eat it. They'd eat other stuff that had chemicals on it, not chemicals through the processing of it, but people themselves would put chemicals on it, not knowing how bad they were, and you had significant instances of stomach cancer and so forth, dysentery. I haven't even read this entire article part of it I'm going to read newly to myself and to you but that's how Heinz ketchup came to be Heinz was a simple man he mortgaged his home to develop a a beef sauce and his first product went nowhere so he went broke then he had another idea this time it would be tomato based and he'd put it in a clear glass bottle so people could see what they were buying and what they'd be using well that took off because it hid the flavor of the rancid beef fish they didn't have freezers the kind of freezers we're talking about weren't even invented yet but most people couldn't afford it if they were they barely had refrigeration so fish if you caught it, you had to eat it pretty quickly pretty quickly things like milk would sour very quickly so the problem was you had a concentration of people particularly in the inner cities huge concentration of people and there was no food and to the extent there was food it was very expensive in the context of those days and it didn't last long the transport of the food didn't last long that's where processed foods came in and were invented and fed at least two generations of Americans now that's where I'm coming from now let's read this by professors Jan Adukiewicz and Gabriel Rosenberg and this is an excerpt from a new book that they wrote called Feed the People, Why Industrial Food is Good and How to Make it Even Better and the introduction to this by the free press is the following processed foods have become the go-to villain in America's health story picture the packages crowding supermarket aisles frozen dinners canned food soda chips They packed with preservatives and additives and often blamed especially by champions of the Make American Healthy agenda for soaring rates of obesity, chronic disease, and it goes on. But just how harmful are they, really? That's the central question in this new book. And in this excerpt, these professors contend that processed foods even ultra processed ones aren't the dietary demons many make them out to be and today's calls to purge them entirely and quote unquote eat clean they suggest offer no magic fix in fact such advice even might leave the situation worse now let's get to the content of the book in some respect, and I figure this might interest all of you, actually. So I'm reading this anew for you and me. In 1929, the canned meat company Libby, McNeil and Libby, printed a now legendary pumpkin pie recipe on the side of the cans of its 100% pure pumpkin, 1929. It was an enormous hit, and pumpkin pie became a national superstar. But the can's branding wasn't quite accurate and still isn't. According to the FDA regulations, the contents of a can of pumpkin can be made of a variety of squashes that we don't conventionally call pumpkins. And in fact, most canned pumpkin you've ever eaten is probably something called a Dixon squash. Apologies if you're a pumpkin purist, but if you are and you've and you just found this out, what's the alternative? Roasting and parading a pumpkin yourself? That's a bad idea. Store-bought pumpkins don't have the right starch or water content for the custard. Go to any bakery or grocery the week before Thanksgiving and ask them what they use for their pies. and they'll tell you the truth. It's from the can. Now here's the good news. The industry goo is great. To this day, the only ingredient in Libby's canned pumpkin is a mush of assorted squashes. They take millions of gourds grown on an astonishing scale, peel, seed, and puree them, cram that puree into shell stable aluminum cans and ship them off to grocery stores by the truckload. The stuff in these cans is nutritionally identical to a fresh pumpkin or a squash, if you will. Moreover, it will all, excuse me, it will sit safely on your shelf for 900 days or more without spoiling. Meanwhile, fresh pumpkins, as you will recall from your front step after Halloween, they tend to rot after a week or so. Now, what's the point of all this? Well, the point is I need to put my glasses on because I can't read this. Just hang with me. Hang with me. This is all very interesting to me, and I think to you, perhaps. What's the point of all this, you ask? The point is that we have been trained to think of particular foods as good or bad or even noble and sinful. So-called processed foods, those made with preservatives or other chemicals, and which often come in a can, usually fall into the latter category as sinful. It's not difficult to find people deriding whole categories of industrial foods as an unmitigated menace. But like pumpkin pie, the truth is a bit more complicated. In his 2008 book, In Defense of Food, journalist and professor Michael Pollan famously instructed people to do the following, quote, Don't eat anything your great-great-grandmother wouldn't recognize as food, unquote. It's a common refrain intended as an indictment of a modern nutrition system dominated by artificial ingredients. But it ignores a glaring truth. our great-great-grandmothers didn't exactly live at a time of peak nutrition. They didn't have electricity or running water. They wouldn't recognize a box of fusilli or, for that matter, a mango as food. In their old world, there were no refrigerators in homes, no frozen foods, canning was a crapshoot, and there were no supermarkets, let alone an FDA to make sure your flour, butter, and milk were unadulterated. The result was illness, what I was touching on earlier. Foodborne diseases like typhoid fever, botulism were common. Even more ubiquitous were diseases caused by malnutrition. Rickets, a debilitating childhood condition caused by vitamin D deficiency, led to bowed legs, stunted growth, curved spines. These are just the ones whose name you may recognize. Ever hear of marimousmus? Be glad if you didn't. Thanks in part to poor food, our great-great-grandmother society was chronically unhealthy. In New York City in 1920, up to 75% of all children were to some degree affected by rickets. Average life expectancy in 1900 was 47 years. When the United States initiated a draft during World War I, about 30% of the men who were called up were deemed unfit for combat. largely because of poor health attributable to dreadful nutrition. The solution was a better diet offered by, yes, food processing. Pasteurization of milk, originally developed in the 1860s and adopted at a scale in the early 20th century, has saved countless millions of infants and babies' lives by eliminating dangerous pathogens. Preservation techniques like canning prolonged the shelf life of many foods, improving food access and reducing food waste from spoilage. These changes came alongside the emergence of a modern regulatory state ensuring foods met new standards of health. Meanwhile, advances in transportation and refrigeration technology in the early 20th century gave birth to a radical new way to buy food, the supermarket. which improve the quality and safety of food for most consumers. Interesting, Mr. Producer. Synthetic preservatives may be to some extent unhealthy, but compare them to the common adulterants found in the swill milk of 19th century New York City that sickened thousands of children. Rotten eggs are arguably more natural than potassium sorbate, a common anti-mold preservative found in today's dairy products, but we would rather eat the potassium sorbet. It's only when you take for granted that your diet won't immediately kill you that you begin to ponder whether it might contribute to cancer or heart disease in a few decades. Mark Lovin. The Great One makes your weekend even better. This is the best of Mark Levin. The United States military, I'm not saying it's going to happen, but is prepared now to hit Iran this weekend, late this weekend on Sunday if necessary, or any time thereafter. Or any time thereafter. and I want to say something to our military personnel. At a time like this, I find it odd and troubling that people don't talk about you. They don't thank you. I think about you all the time and I want to thank you as I thank you every evening the truth is that while we praise illegal aliens that while we bend over backwards to protect criminals while we talk about concocted rights as opposed to real civil liberties, while we coddle Islamists who want to destroy our country and our culture, while we talk about the First Amendment rights of Marxists, we don't talk a whole lot about our military personnel, do we? and what they do for us. All the things that go on in the country, they protect us from all these outside threats and forces. These are men and women who get paid peanuts. Peanuts. and they get to go to a PX or maybe they have a VA or maybe they have a hospital or a pension and so forth. Big deal. Big deal. Is that good enough for most of us? No. Because most of us don't join the military. Now I have many family members but we don't, do we? our military personnel deserve our respect and our gratitude because it is they that are going to take action if action is called for by the commander in chief not just to protect this generation but future generations from the Iranian Islamist Nazi regime that is desperate to develop weapons of mass destruction and drop them on our heads. So they have said. So they have tried. Now you and I, Mr. and Mrs. America, we support our military personnel. The Marxists do not. The Islamists hate them. The woke right, neo-Nazis hate them too. But they, in a diabolical way, they pretend to be looking out for them to protect them. And they're not. They're isolationists who give aid and comfort to the enemy. The enemy's counting on Tucker Carlson. The enemy's counting on Marjorie Trader Greene. The enemy's counting on Bloated Bannon. The enemy's counted on No Pants Gates. And I can go down the list. They're counting on the modern day Tokyo Roses. To dispirit our military. To dispirit the American people, generally. And to despair you, patriots. Isolationism in the face of evil Islamism, evil communism, evil fascism is suicide. Absolute suicide. I want our military personnel to know something. the Marxist Islamists, the woke Reich, R-E-I-C-H, neo-Nazis and fascists, isolationists, they don't represent the vast majority of the American people. They simply do not. We, you, Mr. and Mrs. America, we are the vast majority of the American people. and I want you to know, I feel fairly strongly, that we will be taking it to that regime in Iran as we must, for the sake of our country, for the sake of our children, for the sake of the Iranian people, for the sake of humanity, and it will be thanks to you in the military, trained, competent, courageous, smart that we're able to do this. Even with the greatest equipment in the world. It doesn't mean a whole lot without our military personnel. I could not be prouder so when you see somebody who's dressed in military garb a uniform please make sure you thank them thank them I want to speak briefly about law enforcement whether they be beat cops or detectives special agents border patrol, ICE, state troopers you know who I mean they deserve our thanks when there are violent riots in the streets we rely on them to help us and protect us. When there are marauders out there killers, rapists burglars, what have you we rely on them. We pick up the phone and we call them. We don't call a politician. We don't call a reporter. And in my lifetime I've seen efforts by the radical left and the revolutionaries to pick off one element within law enforcement or another. NYPD, the LAPD, Minnesota cops, Minneapolis, the Border Patrol ICE the FBI the Marshals and on and on and on I seen it The same elements, the same elements that treat illegal aliens as citizens, the same elements that treat criminals as the victims and are weak on crime, are the ones who attack the cops, local, state, and federal. these people put their lives on the line, and when they pull a gun out, they don't know if they're going to destroy their lives and careers or not, and they have split seconds to make a decision. I've often thought, I've often thought, if I'm in a police cruiser, I'm a cop, and I pull over a car that has a broken taillight, or an expired license tag, or something. You pull that car over, you don't know what the hell's in that car. You don't have the foggiest idea what's in that car. Even if you call in the tag number, you don't know who's driving that car, you don't know who's in that car, you don't know if they have a weapon in that car. you literally put your life on the line when you get out of your vehicle and walk up to that car. Maybe they were speeding, driving erratically, who knows. You put your life on the line. Some SOB could pull a gun from under the seat and before the officer knows it shoot him through the window. It happens, doesn't it? And then I want to make one final point. We spend an awful lot of time with news reports on individuals who may have been killed by law enforcement who were provocative, who were violent, who were obstructing a lot of time. Do you know the name of the last police officer in this country who was murdered? Unless you look it up, you don't know. Because as a national news matter, it doesn't even matter anymore. it doesn't even matter anymore. It matters to us, but not to the media. Mark Levin. We're giving you nothing but the best, the best of Mark Levin. Do we believe in liberty or tyranny? Number 11, Mr. Producer, let's get that ready. I want you to listen to Bernie Sanders in Los Angeles today on Fox. You know, it's a weird thing, the Stalinists and their ilk, want to put me and others in the position of defending billionaires. And I'm not defending billionaires. I'm defending you, Mr. and Mrs. America. the Stalinists and their ilk think they're clever they're able to manipulate language in order to manipulate thought they do it a lot they're good at it even some Republicans start to sound like them the media for sure a wealth tax any government that has the power NMLS 182 Any government that has the power to institute a wealth tax has the power to destroy your private property rights. It's that simple. Once the principle has been breached, the principle's been breached for everybody. Now what is wealth? Let's start there. What is wealth? now wealth doesn't mean you're a billionaire if you have a savings account that's wealth you get a paycheck that's wealth this phrase wealthy has come to mean rich or very rich but what is the issue here the government taxes and spends we have a massive debt that's eventually going to sink this country. It's not as if they actually need a wealth tax. There's really no limit that's placed on their spending. It's not as if they don't have enough money. And it's always the same thing. The blue states that want a wealth tax, that have the highest income taxes, the highest gasoline taxes, the most multiplicity of taxes, Now a wealth tax. Let's listen to Bernie Sanders for a moment. He's in California campaigning, campaigning for a ballot initiative on a wealth tax for billionaires. And listen to how he phrases this. If he doesn't sound like an absolute Stalinist communist, then tell me what he does sound like. Cut 11. Go. They are sick and tired of people like Sergi Brin, the co-founder of Google, who was spending $20 million to defeat this tax on the air. All right, let's stop right there. So he's attacking this man by name. I don't know who he is. I don't know if he's a Democrat or liberal, but he's obviously co-founder of Google. He's very, very wealthy. How many of you use Google? Do you use Google, Mr. Producer? most people use Google. Google has a purpose. Not just research, but it's an incredible source of commerce and wealth creation for average people. So what if Sergey Brin didn't exist? What if he didn't co-found Google? And if he's worth $200, $300 billion, how does that affect you or me? the fact that he has accumulated that kind of wealth doesn't affect me, it doesn't affect the plumber it doesn't affect the electrician, the cop, the fire it doesn't affect anybody except if you destroy his wealth then it affects everybody because Google ceases to exist the employees who are behind Google cease to exist all the intellectual property all the brilliance and genius that went into it is for naught? And what's the government going to do with the money? What if all that money that he has, whatever it is, and all the money that Google has goes to California, goes to the federal government? How long will that last? It'll be gone in a couple of years. Gone for what? We see the waste, the fraud, the abuse. It's unbelievable. The government's not accountable to you or me. so where will it go? Go ahead, please. Next. Mr. Brin, you are worth $245 billion. Now let's stop. Why does he say this? To create anger and jealousy. People say, wait a minute, I only earn $73,000 a year. That guy's worth $245 billion? Why the hell should he have $245 billion when there are people starving, when there's homeless people, when people can't afford homes? Why should this guy get $245 billion a year? And when is enough enough? Rather than he's created millions of jobs directly with Google and jobs related to Google. He's created God knows how many small businesses and even larger businesses related to Google. He has made research easier. In other words, there's a reason he's worth $245 billion, because we, the people, use his service. so how does it hurt us that he's worth 245 billion dollars it doesn't it hurts us if by force because that's how you'd have to do it by force of law and enforcement of law that you would take his money away leave him a billion take 244 billion let me tell you another secret that money is not in a bank account It's not in a mattress. That means Google would have to be sold off in bits and pieces for that kind of money, liquidity, to be realized. See, it would destroy an entire industry and related industries and businesses and jobs and you, Mr. and Mrs. America, your ability to use Google. And for what? $245 billion. The government wastes that money. Federal government wastes that money in one year. And what does Bernie Sanders actually know about economics? Absolutely nothing. The Marxists, the Stalinists, they replace economics with ideology. Redistribution of wealth, capping income, capping profits, redistributing. Well, that's not economics. That's ideology. So Google may produce a trillion dollars worth of wealth. I'll bet it creates something like that worldwide. So it creates more wealth than the co-founder is worth. Why is that bad? And if you take this man's money and you give it to the homeless or give it to this We've given trillions, tens of trillions of dollars for our income tax system and state income tax systems and all these programs and everything for the homeless, for the hungry, for those without homes and so forth and so on. And there's still homeless and hungry and people without homes. Go ahead. Since Trump was elected, you have become over $100 billion richer. Now, what does that have to do with Trump's election? In one year, over $100 billion richer. It has nothing to do with the Trump administration. It has nothing to do with government at all. Nothing to do with the Republican Party, the Democrat Party. They're chugging along. They're making more money. Isn't that a good thing? And by the way, how many of you have IRAs? How many of you have 401ks? And they invest in mutual funds and diversification and so forth and so on. You are investing your future, your pension, your retirement in companies like Google. In companies like Google. You want them to do well, so you'll have a better pension when you retire. Go ahead. Listen to the needs of working people I told you, what does this have to do with the needs of working people? This man, Sergey Brin or any of these billionaires or millionaires or you, Mr. and Mrs. America you're not taking anything from anybody You're contributing to society Some of you are in the service industry some of you are in production industries some of you are in the information industries, you are a contributor to our economic society, to our growth, to creating other jobs that you're not even aware of. Perhaps creating other businesses and ideas that you're not even aware of, other products that you're not even aware of, just based on your free action, your free activity, your free choices, and your jobs, and your businesses. It has nothing to do with blaming Donald Trump, blaming him for somebody getting richer. Why is it that the people on the dole are the ones we're supposed to celebrate and praise? Why is it that it's illegal aliens we're supposed to celebrate and praise? This is the nature, the ideology of the Marxist, of the Democrat Party. everybody should be dragged down capital, investment, inventions productivity, entrepreneurship should all be dragged down in service to Bernie Sanders massive government programs, a massive leviathan of bureaucracies and so forth, to what end? to what end? go ahead please Threatening the people of California. Stop paying your fair share of taxes. Threatening the people of California. Mobility is freedom. The right to leave one state and go to another. The right to leave a city and go to another. Does Bernie Sanders not believe that? He left Brooklyn and he went to Vermont. They hate the idea of mobility. That's why they hate the idea of federalism and states. Unless, of course, they're promoting illegal immigration and so forth. Then they love it. They want to rule over us. And so these billionaires, millionaires, others are saying, you know, I'm going to leave California, as many have, who are not billionaires and millionaires. They're retirees, working people, because they can't stand it. You have a top tax rate there of 13.3%. Bernie Sanders says it's time they paid a fair share. How about all the employees that work for Google who are paying taxes? Are they paying their fair share and contributing to society? Are they paying their fair share? The federal government is worth, well, it's in the whole $300 trillion. You want to know the truth. But it raises trillions through our taxes. But it's not enough.
