Hosted by entertainment veteran Jimmy Starr, that's me. The show drops quick, high-energy segments packed with new releases, artist stories, and the kind of unfiltered conversation you won't get anywhere else. Think of it as your daily dose of discovery, raw talent, zero filter. So today we're going to do the music of a friend of mine. Her name is Shane Layton. I've known her since she was in high school, and she did a movie called The Incubus, which was a great indie film about succubuses. She wrote it, starred in it, did the music for it, and the first song we're going to do is actually off the soundtrack. It's called Behind Your Eyes. It's a great song. This is one of the best independent film soundtracks of any film I've ever heard in my life. And I played Dead Running in the film. It was so exciting when I went to Blockbuster Video and rented it back in the day. So here is Shane Layton behind your eyes. Enjoy. I wonder if you feel my eyes on you As you walk into the room Do you notice me through The crowd as you would move I wonder what's behind your eyes An element of darkness Suddenly appears right through me Got to leave even though I couldn't see Something that you want inside of me Pushes you away but you wanna stay I'm fascinated by you I'm not here where I stand, so will you What would happen if I let you touch me Would you get everything that you need Would it be too much for you to take Would you want to die and let me away Fade to shade away I wonder if you know my love for you Part of me wants to run away Certified of the truth Should I believe what you say? It happens every time you're near me My heart starts to pound and I feel so weak And even though I know you'd scare me I can't bear the thought if you'd ever leave I'm captivated by you Stolen my heart and my soul, now I'm letting go What would happen if I let you touch me? Would you get everything that you need? Would it be too much for you to take? Would your world turn the time to let me away? Made to shade away Maybe you could save me from this place Take me far away Falling down on my knees Is it you who rescued me? I wonder what's behind your eyes. What would happen if I let you touch me? Would you get everything that you need? Would it be too much for you to take? Would your world turn dark and fade away? But it fades to shades of gray group at one time and her debut album was fantastic So the next song we're going to play is a song that was on her debut album. The name of the song is called Dream of You, and it's really good. It's a great song. She's a super talent. So here it is, you guys, Dream of You by Shane Layton. It's only been one night and me I'd call you up if you won't answer. I'd run to you and fall in your arms. That somebody else is already there with you Someone else is there I should be there with you If it's alright I'll dream of you tonight I've got to find a way Out of my view So I'll dream of you Tonight It was the hardest thing to walk away And never know how much I lost And time might heal my broken heart It's just right now that I really need you It's just right now that I need you Oh God I need you If it alright I dream of you tonight I got to find a way Out of my room So I'll dream of you I'd never dream of asking But I might never dream again Cause every dream we've ever had Is coming to an end So no matter what you say I'm gonna dream about you Anyway Anyway I've got to find a way I love you So I'll dream of you A dream of you A dream of you Tonight Dream of you tonight Tonight Dream of you tonight So that was Dream of You by Shane Layton, you guys.
