Summary

Episode 644 features Kevin Bieksa discussing the NHL playoffs' second round, the draft lottery where Toronto won the first overall pick, and analysis of ongoing playoff series including Carolina vs. Philadelphia, Colorado vs. Minnesota, Buffalo vs. Montreal, and Anaheim vs. Vegas. The hosts debate team strategies, coaching decisions, and emerging playoff narratives.

Insights
  • Draft lottery outcomes significantly impact team trajectory but don't guarantee success; McKenna is talented but not a slam dunk pick compared to historical generational talents
  • Carolina's balanced ice time distribution (no player over 15 mins) and four-line rolling strategy enables sustained high-intensity play without fatigue-related performance drops
  • Special teams execution (power play and penalty kill) is increasingly critical in playoffs; Minnesota's 13% PP and 59% PK are series-losing deficiencies
  • Coaching adjustments mid-series (line combinations, goalie changes) can swing momentum, but execution and player buy-in matter more than tactical changes alone
  • Mental health and personal adversity (Landeskog, Taves) create stronger team bonds and player motivation than external pressure alone
Trends
Increased use of fourth-line deployment immediately after power plays to reset line combinations and maintain fresh legsCzech Republic emerging as goaltending powerhouse with three of eight playoff starters (Dostal, Dobis, Vodá)College hockey producing more NHL-ready talent; McKenna's Penn State performance trajectory mirrors historical elite prospectsAnalytics-driven defensive positioning (disruption stats, stick positioning) becoming standard coaching languageBalanced roster construction and depth scoring outperforming star-dependent teams in extended playoff seriesMental health transparency in professional sports reducing stigma and building team culture around vulnerabilityStreaming and broadcast innovation (ESPN coverage, live streams) driving record first-round playoff ratingsGeographic talent development disparities (South Dakota vs. Massachusetts) creating recruitment opportunities for emerging programs

Hey, Spit and Chick, let's listen to this. You can find every episode on Apple Podcasts and Spotify. Prime members can listen ad-free on Amazon Music. What's up, guys? It's PFT here. Grit Week is here. We're back on the road, and you already know that we're bringing Twisted Tea along for the ride as the official drink of Grit Week. The new Twisted Tea Summer Party Pack is 5% alcohol. It's realized tea, no carbonation. It's perfect for long days, longer nights, and whatever happens after practice interviews. Plus, you've got multiple flavors in the pack, including a hard lemonade that's made with real lemons and the can turns blue when it's ice cold, so you can always tell when it's ready. Grit Week, Twisted Tea, Tea Time, Let's Ride. Twisted Tea Brewing Company, Cincinnati, Ohio, please drink responsibly. We teamed up with Marzetti's new protein ranch dressing and dip. You heard that right. Protein ranch. Do you put ranch on everything? Of course you do. Now everything you put ranch on has protein, veggies, tots, nugs, and anything else you bathe in ranch is now protein-ified, and all you had to do was literally nothing but eat ranch. Find Marzetti Protein Ranch in the produce section in a cold case. This might just be the most delicious way to get a little more protein. Me and Ryan have been officially welcomed to the jungle at his basketball sports. I brought it toward the coyotes, and I asked him if it was okay if I joined the spit trickles podcast full-time. Little bingo. Ryan Whitney's got a pink Whitney out there now. I just don't... Get that bag or get that on camera. He beat the handle. The song man. Case is a full-time member. Marley just got a assist from Chris B. Whoa, right now. What is up everyone? Pinky's up. Pinky's up for episode 644 of Spit and Chick Lutz. I was going to say this was the time the show start, but there he is. He's ready to go. Pinky's up. He was probably just... He might be back on the booze and he was maybe getting a little pink Whitney and Pinky's up. Quack. Pre-game shit. I was getting a nice show. Americano. Okay, Americano. That's your drink. Well, my drink's pink Whitney. That's everyone's drink in the playoffs. That's everyone's drink in the summer, the beach, the golf course, the lake, the boat. It doesn't matter where you are. Go get a bottle of pink Whitney. Pinky's up. What an incredible, incredible couple of days since we last recorded. I hope everyone had the chance to maybe tune into our live stream Wednesday. Was that... No, Tuesday night? What night was that? Tuesday? Tuesday night. Tuesday night of the avalanche. Just taking control of this series over the wild. We'll get into that. But it was right after some of the funniest content. I couldn't make up the content we got. And for anyone who's maybe a little behind, I'll just quickly rehash our business done with the Leafs. It was a very... I'd say enormous moment in this show, years and years of just loving the Leafs hometown team and he quit and he had his reasons. And what happens after? What happens after something I'll never forget? I'll God willing, I'm 90 years old, I'm laying in a bed, old, can't even move. And then somebody says, remember that graph lottery 2026 and I just... Because not only did the Leafs get the first overall pick and now more than likely taking Gavin McKenna, who Biss said he was just going to follow to whatever team he went to, the number 12. I mean, the fact it was the number 12, man. That's Gary giving me the double barrel on the way. Gary giving you the double barrel. And I mean, I don't even know who the guy was with the unkept beard that was behind the balls. I don't know where that guy came from. He's a barstool guy. Yeah, that's one of the whackpacks. Yeah, he's prototypical barstool look. I think I thought he was Bluntman's assistant. But very funny. I mean, another aspect just to add to more of the chiclets content stream is just G going on a rant about what he's going to do with the sixth overall pick. He's getting from Toronto and boom, the Maple Leafs come out of nowhere. They win the lottery. Gavin McKenna will be at Toronto Maple Leaf unless they're just, I think that'll be beyond dumb if they don't take it. Well, I actually spoke to him and I told him, I gave him an ultimatum. I said, if you go to the Toronto Maple Leafs, we're no longer in the fishing business together. So it's not a guarantee. I think it's up in the air right now. I think he's taking a real strong look at the business opportunity with the right hook fishing lure and how that could probably put a lot more money in his pocket than, than MLSC and Rogers can, especially on an entry level contract, which we know are not very good. All thanks to the 100th guest on game notes, Alexander Degle. When he signed his fancy signing bonus, all of a sudden that was an end to that. So yeah, thanks a lot. Yeah. I have my reasons. Obviously there's Leafs fans online who are like, oh, you're going to fucking, you're going to ditch our team because, because you're, because Arizona didn't sign a washed up 40 year old hockey player. And you're going to be poopy pants. Like this is some charity league. They have no idea what they're talking about these people. Yeah. Zero. Yeah. Zero clue. What that guy did. Shane Done. We're talking about what he did. And I don't even know if he wanted to play another year, whether he did or not, whether he wanted to be a part of the team, whether he wanted to play goal. If he wanted to play goalie the next year, I would have let him. The guy was the only reason that the coyotes were even in there as long as they were in, in Phoenix. So just an absolute meathead, whoever just thinks you're doing it just for that reason, there's a lot more behind it. And like, I love the fact that you're as loyal as you are. You're as loyal as a dog, even though you get all of your dogs stolen. It's stings. I hate it, but it's one of those things, man. Like you are a loyal dog and I love you for it. I also got to just, just shout out like, you know, Scott van Pelt, Stanford, Steve, they're talking about biz after the game that night. It's just the car, the forget also the sharks getting a second overall pick. That's even more incredible because now they're just okay. So they don't even have to make the decision if you are somebody, if you are somebody who says it's Stenberg or McKenna and it's somewhat of a battle. Oh, well, whoever they don't take, we got. And if it is Stenberg, it's like, wow. And now people have said they have to take a D. I kind of get that. But if you're talking about a generational type player, then I think you take best player available. You figure it out. I mean, unless one of the defensemen is considered a future number one, Chris Pronger style defenseman, 25 minutes a night, PP, PK, you think about it, but it was just wild how it all went down. It was, it was a movie. It was literally, it was like Ryan Seacrest went into the NHL office. He was like, Hey, just let me do two days. Let me get two days. I'll fucking put this hockey world on their head. Just give me two days. And he did it. NHL went over to Bravo for one day, got all the ratings up and then boom, now it's back to real hockey. Yeah. The Bachelorette was like, they did their thing and the NHL was like, hold my beer. But Ellie's saying here, the sharks are going to sign radish over the summer. Have you been told you got, he said that last night in the group chat. I didn't want that one. No, it just, it makes too much sense. They have 40 million cap space next year, 82 mil the year after that. They still have to sign Will and Mack, but you go sign him, maybe a pair with Dickinson. That kid, they got 11th overall a few years ago, played in London. I think it's, it's the, the perfect trade. Yeah. Number one. I think they only have two D signed for next year. Did you see, did you see Radish's year end meeting too? Like the conference with the media? He's gone. It sounded like he's gone. Really? I mean, Dmitry Orlov is the highest paid player on the San Jose sharks right now making 6.5 million. They have to spend money somewhere. They have. Well, they're going to be spending a ton of it. Then I think a report came up from Chris John. Was it Johnston saying maybe Matthews, like, isn't sure if he's going to go back? I don't really know. You kind of see all these different reports. So like, I think that they're going to be in a solid spot. Like getting that first overall pick changes everything. And also, if Matthews does decide he wants to leave, like, it wouldn't be the worst thing if they stripped it to the ground because the return on even him and Nylander alone, like, you know, you could build around Cowan, you can build around McKenna, obviously. And then the return you could get if you're sending those guys out the door, I imagine you're getting three to four first round picks. Hopefully they're high first round picks and then probably like, like two to three roster players, including a few prospects. So you get a bolt load and return. And then the timeline would match up a little bit. But also you got Cowan on entry level, you got McKenna on entry level. So that's going to save you some money for some skill top six wingers. And then all of a sudden, you know, your cap situation is not horrendous with the fact that it's going up what eight and a half million, because that was one thing that was announced. So, so for the Leafs going from where their caps going to now getting the first overall pick, a lot has changed to the fact that I don't, I could see them make and play offs next year. The only thing they had going against them is the fact that the Atlantic is still going to be very difficult. And, you know, I mean, the, the, the East in general is going to be a gauntlet. So, do you agree that they could turn around and be a playoff team? They have solid goal tending. The one thing that, that you're hearing through the grapevine is that Matthews is like, we need a few puck moving D-man. I can't keep playing the way that we played last year. Like it's nauseating. I need to have the puck on my stick. I lost Marner. I can't even be given and go, keep and go. I can't give them go through the neutral zone. So I, I, I feel like they could solve a lot of their problems with the fact that they have cap space available, a couple studs on entry level deals and or moving off some guys. I kind of love when we're chatting about teams that yeah, you need puck moving D or they, this team, they don't grow on trees. Right? Well, that's, I was just going to say, like GM is, that's tough, man. Like you could throw out what every team needs. Like actually getting it done for sure. To me, it seems impossible. Like I have no GM ability in me. Like I'm looking around. I wouldn't even know where to start. That's probably why we're doing this. Just throwing out hot takes that never land. I just think like, where, how do you go do it? And the, the Leafs don't have a ton of assets. Right? So I don't know. That's a problem. I did see their lineup. Somebody tweeted up their lineup next year. It's not horrendous. I don't kind of look decent. It looks decent. Yeah. Oh, I said horrendous. Sorry. Wait, so busy. No, I said it's not horrendous. It looks decent. Are you more for kind of leave it the way it is? Have Matthews, Nylander stay, try to make playoffs next year? Or you want them to blow it up now? I don't, well, first of all, I don't care. I don't give a shit, but obviously it's a team. Yeah. Like, you know, it's kind of, kind of invigorating actually. It's kind of nice. And for people who didn't, didn't catch the live stream, I'll never forget this moment as well. When he said what I've been saying for years, the biggest loser fan base in the league. And just to hear it come out of his mouth, it was just like, wow, I was just a lot. That was more me lashing out at, at the amount of people not knowing why I actually left to begin with and not, it not clicking. Right? They, some of those people, they're just so stupid or never, never click with them. And also they've never been part of something where they have that much loyalty to an individual. They must not ever have had that in their life. So they wouldn't understand it to begin with. So why would I just, why would I constantly beat my head and try and explain it to them? Right? Hey, hey, I'm built for that. I'm built. There's one guy who's built for that. It's me getting peppered in the brain, but, but, but I would be curious to know what other Leafs fans think about what the approach should be. I would, I wouldn't be shocked if half of them would be okay if with a great return from Matthews and Nylander and, and maybe starting fresh a little bit. I, do you think I'm crazy with that? Yeah. I think they think because they got first overall picked that the cup is theirs next year. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. They had parades going outside the, well, yeah, but winning the first, winning the lottery. I mean, that's a big deal. That's excitement. Now I don't think they got to be completely drenched, which look, look, we're looking at a guy who's been to range for a long time and was a Leafs fan. So you understand like they might think that, but no, no way, but, but, but they're not deranged in thinking that now that they had the first overall pick, it is completely revived their opportunity to potentially compete. The issue is going to be no first round pick the next two years after this, because they're given away. They don't have a strong prospect pool. So how are you going unless you're going to do your damage in free agency? As, as Whit pointed out, there's not a lot available and they're not a team that's playing with a ton of cap space to begin with. And also is Toronto a big landing spot for free agents compared to like the way that other teams are kind of on the rise and coming up? Like, like you talked about radish, like to me to, to go, not disappear, but go play in San Jose flying or the radar. I mean, same, you're basically dealing with the same taxes you are in Toronto and you go get to play with that young group of guys who are, who are going to keep getting better and better year over year, including getting the second overall pick that we don't know could end up turning out like, look at, look at Leo Carlson. Like, wasn't Leo Carlson second overall? Leo Carlson is incredible. Yeah. So good. So, so you might be dealing with another one of him going over there in, in, in Stenberg. Is that how you pronounce his last name? Stenberg? Yes. I, I've been, I've arsed then Berg. I don't know. So I'll say also, like the Leafs, there's excitement there, but there's still a lot of questions to remain. Now I, I, I love the ODog. We've talked a lot about the ODog we had him on during Olympics. I kind of appreciate his point of everyone. Let's, let's give Chaika a chance here. And I think Leafs fans, maybe they've turned around and the luck of getting the first overall, let's, let's kind of, let's kind of give him, give him a chance, see what he can do. Everything, wait, everything I said, I've, I've, I reiterated this a few times. I have no ill will to what he has going on moving forward. I've, I've, I've repeated that over and over. I don't, I don't, maybe the guy goes on to have success. I have no clue. The only reason I'm off the train is what happened when he was a member of the Arizona Coyotes organization and what happened and the way it was left. And let's not forget how it was left here. I explained that on the live stream. Did we explain it last podcast about the situation with, with the New Jersey situation? So I think that there were a lot of character flaws early on, like, and there's a laundry list of them. Growth is important. He's gotten a lot older, maybe a lot wiser. I mean, fuck frosty sales were up 28% when he was in the charge of Wendy's. So he could figure a lot of things out. Really? Great. Frosty's are apparently in Canada. I don't know. He worked at Frosty's. I think he, no, he, I think, I think his family are, he married into where his, I think maybe his wife's family owned like a Wendy's chains. Like they, they have like a bunch of restaurants. I think they have like 60 of them. Wow. 60 Wendy's across Canada or something like that. So he's not taking this job for the money. No, no, no. What was I, oh, also the confusion around the draft picks the next two years. Just quickly, I read now it is one of the most confusing setups I've ever seen. If the Leafs have a top 10 pick next year, they choose Philly or Boston. You imagine that they choose Philly, right? 100%. And then if it's not top 10, it goes to Philly and the next years goes to Boston. Boston is probably getting 2028. The league is going to come in and actually make them decide soon on this because the other teams need to trade these assets. They need to know moving forward. They can't just wait until Toronto wants to make this decision. So from what I was told, it's going to be Philadelphia 2027 in Boston 2028. Okay. Yeah. That would make more sense. Cause if you left it going as long as like up until the draft and the Philly would be like, Hey, take a Meachgob off of us and then, you know, like they could, they could sweeten the pot for some deals and stuff like that. So they definitely have to get that done as soon as possible. We are speaking of Philly, man. Oh, they, they had that game key. They had it. We're going to get into it. We're going to have murals on them. We're having juice on Ken BX. But before we get to them, before we get to Mer, talk about the playoffs and the games and what's happened. We got to talk about the playoffs. The playoffs are here. They're going, they're buzzing. Draft King sportsbook and official sports betting partner, the NHL is a new customer offer. Oh, he's dripping a little bit, but not as bad. Let's go. One nothing. One nothing is right, Mer. Before we actually break this, this first game one of Buffalo Montreal down the playoff trends, boys. I wanted to bring this up. You know, do I make things about me sometimes? Yeah, maybe sometimes. All right, we love that. We love that about you. But since 1996, four teams have taken a three O series lead in each of their first two series, the 2024 Rangers, the 2012 Kings, the 2008 Penguins and the 97 Flyers. Okay. I'm only bringing this up because it was at the top of the outline. I was on that Penguins team. We went up three O in the first three rounds, boys. We went up three O in the first three rounds. And I guess I'll kind of save that for Carolina and Colorado because that's more, you know, matters to them. But Mer, Buffalo and Montreal, they kicked it off. I got to be, I got to be quite honest. Montreal, they didn't, they didn't have much. I felt like I should have known that as a gambler. It's like after that, just that win, that the emotion of game seven on the road, you had to think they'd be let down a little bit and Buffalo and Josh Stone and Zach Benson, they were ready to go. Yeah, you should know it as a player too. We remember in those game sevens in Wilkesbury, but they would always warn us, guys, it's going to be a huge let down that next game. And the Sabres were ready for once they were ready that first period. They jumped all over them, but I thought maybe the rest of the game, Montreal might have, might have outplayed them a little bit. I know they outshot them, but Buffalo had the timely scoring and they got the power play going again. If they score on the power play, that's, that's an issue for anyone they're playing because they hadn't done anything against the Bruins. And I think leading into the playoffs, they'd really struggled in the regular season too. So if you can get it going, now the first goal, that was Don's goal, I believe the beautiful pass by Benson. Brutal luck for Hudson just kind of hit the boards. I lost where he was, falls down, Benson, I got to say, dobson coming back and played a great game. So probably the worst played two on one I've ever seen. It was kind of, it was like a Whitney slide where you're sliding. Yeah, Whitney's hockey school. You got it. If you're slide and you got to get, he slid and Benson was just like, Oh, okay. But a great pass. And all of a sudden it's one, nothing. Was that the picture we had sent in the group chat of Shane don't celebrate in the exact, I'm sorry, Josh don't celebrate in the exact same way. Was that the assist he had? No, it was the one where he just screamed in front of the net. I don't even think he had anything to do with the goal. It was the, the Byron, Byron goal. Yeah. Okay. That was, that was, so that was late on the power play. I believe that was their third one of the game and oof, tough, clear. That's a tough clear. I think it was Matheson who just basically turned it right over. I got to go glass and out, but boys, I, you know, we see this a lot now. The first unit, they get the first minute and a half and you know, Buffalo's first unit hadn't really got much going. Second unit scored both power play goals for them yesterday and they got some skilled players on there. They got Benson and donor who are willing to go to the net front. They just keep it simple. And then they, they're D they're mobile and good enough to have a good second unit. And you saw it with both Byron, the way he's able to skate, walk the line and fire that pill. So a huge, huge, huge game. Benson as, as big of a rat as he is, fuck man, he is a skilled good player. And when he's on the forecheck, he's always got a stick in the right lane. He's always disrupting, like making it hard on D where their second guess in their first option, it stalls that guy just long enough so you can get closed in on him and get pucks turned over. And even on that, that pass backdoor to donor, like him selling that shot, like fuck, he looked like David Posternack selling that shot. He kicks the leg up, like he's pissing on the fire hydrant and then Dolbys drops that right leg. So he can't push off really anymore. And you mentioned the two on one played by Dobson. My God, what, what a start to the game for them. And then, and then of course getting that two O goal. And I mean, talk about donor one in one in the first period, like he, he stripped Anderson the slot. I was one on three right there and he slides it. He knows exactly where Benson is and Benson knows exactly where McLeod is backdoor. So a great start to the game. And I didn't think that they were going to be sleepy off the start. They were sleepy off the start. Their first three home games are the first round. And they couldn't come in sleep. And especially against a team or like you mentioned, like who came off an emotional game seven and Tampa. Yeah. I want to go back to that second unit of the power play, put my little coaching hat on and explain to the people what happened out there. Their second unit. And this is what used to happen in the old days. You had your one first unit, one minute, and then the second minute. And as a penalty killer, you hate it if they had two different setups. If they had an umbrella on one side, if they had the box and one. So the second unit now use the box and one that you don't see anymore because this one three one is almost unbeatable on the power play because you always know where somebody's open. But that's what happened. Montreal penalty killers got caught stuck in. Oh, this is how we play one three one. All we do is play one three one. Oh, what the hell is this? The box and one work just even on the McLeod one, because of their setup. You see Dones in the middle and he knows he can whack it either way. One of those guys are going to be open because the D converge on him. And they got a lot of chances from that. And it was a huge adjustment by Seth Apert and the Buffalo Sabres. Murr, you don't think it was because it was a broken play like both of them were kind of broken plays. Yeah, but you're in those positions. If you're in those one three one position, they will all three guys wouldn't have been down near the posts like that. Well, but so on the second one, it was like a turnover broken play where Dano ran out, right? Yeah, but I'm saying before that earlier in that power play just to get the momentum and get everybody scrambling around it was set up like that. You moved it up. I sent the one clip where the D walks in, but just has them all kind of unsure of what they should be doing where one three one penalty killers like, Oh, I always do that. I always do that. But it has them confused is probably a better way to say. So you're saying one three one for the penalty killers? No, that's the power. No, I know. But he the way he's just said it, he said, yeah, the penalty killer, you know, like, okay, it's a one three one. I always push down the boards here and then he comes underneath me and I go out. You have two flankers with that front guy bumper guy in the middle and one guy up top. And Keith probably knows this as a power play guy. I remember we would do that on a power play. This is in Europe when I was actually a pay P guy. And you would start in a box and one and get him thought like that. Then you would rotate to an umbrella. Did you do stuff like that, Keith? Inside a two minute power play? What like switching up? No, not really. It was kind of, I think the best power plays are having some structure and then just kind of, I mean, everybody on the ice is good enough to get open and make plays and know where to be. So I think you have to have a lot of freedom to within the power play to let guys have the freedom to move around. Yeah, you always want somebody in front of the net. You always want the flank guy. But I think having like a set set like actual like where you're going to be is kind of obsolete a little bit now. Like they're kind of guys are free flowing and just going out there and using their hockey senses more than just kind of being in a spot. How would you play against the one three one? You're saying set up in a diamond. That's usually how they're doing it. Yeah. And then the diamond doesn't work on the box and one. You can see it that way. You know what that means? Like, oh yeah, I see what you're saying. I mean, I would think that they'd be all over that though in the pre-skout. But like you're saying, when it switches that quick, right? Like it is it is difficult to just kind of wrap your mind around like, all right, this is a completely different setup. But Keith's right. At least in, you know, in the runs the Oilers had to the finals. They would have somewhat of a setup and then it was just free will now granted. That's McDavid and Leon. But even you watch Colorado, they're kind of all over the place. And we will get into Minnesota. God damn what a disaster their power play is. But Buffalo, I felt as though the game Buffalo did kind of a good job. You're saying maybe Montreux played him a little bit, but it seemed like it seemed like the arena was a little quiet even in the third period. That might have been the four had more scoring chances than shots on that. They had seven. I think they finished with 16 shots on that or 17. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Cause they hit the post on the one post. They had one more scoring chance than they had shots on that. So the quality of, yeah, the quality of opportunities. So they had 17 scoring chance on 16 shots and the quality of opportunities they had. There was a lot of breakdowns for Montreal. Montreal still were in the double digits and great eight chances. I felt like a lot of theirs came in the third period as they drastically outshot him and Buffalo sat back a little bit. But man, lion was pretty good man. He wasn't giving out sloppy rebounds. Like he made very timely saves and some, so a little bit of puck luck too. I think Lane Hudson early on went double doink off the post crossbar. I also don't think it's time to panic. Like I was talking to a, our guy Woody last night, he was on the stranglers and he was like, you know, panicking almost about losing that game one, but I think they can take some good things. They out hit them. They won the faceoff battle, outshot them. So I think it's one of those things where Dolbisch was so good. Maybe he took his foot off the gas a little bit and then he's going to have a nice reset game. One of the goals I didn't love from him, but it's like, he's got, you're not going to be good every single game. If you can split here in Buffalo, it's a win and try to get, you know, come back home one, one. I think it's a different, a different ball game though. I think that Buffalo does a way better job of getting guys in front of the net and they're better at elevating the puck. Which one didn't you like? The greenway goal? Greenway. Yeah. Yeah. Cause it hit his glove, right? Yeah. Like there was somebody flying by like there was a drive by. So I don't know if sometimes when you get those cross bodies, it's hard to track the puck. But if you go to, I mean, two of the goals were east to west and then two of the other goals I view as screens like donor, he couldn't see shit. Right. So they got some, they got some big lanky forwards up front for Buffalo and Dolbisch is what? Six four, six five. So if they keep getting traffic in front, now you guys were, we're in the chat, you guys wanted to see Fowler in there, right? Thinking about it now, three of the goals. I don't really think you, you can't fault them on the dome. You can't fault them on the McLeod. You can't fault them on the buy room considering the screen. I guess maybe the third, it might have only, it might have been more just like, hey, reset. Yeah. But, but I think when, when Greenway makes it three, one, it's like the game's still so alive. It's not like you're pulling them. All right. This game's over. So I kind of get not doing it. Greenway, he was unbelievable. I know. And, and if that guy gets going, like, because I don't, he didn't, you know, have a great year necessarily, right? He might not even be in the lineup of Carrick's playing and healthy. And he looked awesome. It actually reminded me. Remember the time in Montreal when Steve Bayesian, were you on the team when he had a first period? He was flying around dominating and Terry and came in. He's like, Steve Bayesian look like Wayne fucking Gretzky. What? Yeah. Cause he was like a little feisty guy. I don't know. I was there that game. I remember the story. He was dangling everyone. And it was like Greenway was dominating. He had that shift behind the net to remade a bunch of great plays, but it reminded me a lot of center ice, couple big hits. Toadrag center ice. You know, you're feeling it when Greenway's toe drag in middle of the ice. And, and I think it was very similar though to Philly first game winning an emotional game seven on, you know, a game six, sorry. And then going in and you're kind of just like overwhelmed a little bit. And then they had an awesome response. They didn't get the win, but I think Montreal comes back out. You see a better game. But yeah, no reason to panic for Canadian defense at all. So why wasn't Gallagher in? Why was it? Bellino? I'll, I'm going to double down on that take. And my apologies for saying, Oh, they're going to remember Gallagher in 15 years. They're going to remember him regardless. Right. But I think that if you're Martin St. Louis, you pull him aside, you said your job is to get under Benson's skin and make him a complete non-factor because Benson ran their fucking show. First fucking shift he had, or maybe it was second, he was in the crease. You got Anderson and a D-man punching them just getting right under their skin. So I think that you send one of the, well, to today's standards, one of the OG small guys, pain in the ass boys right after the new school one. And, and he's got to try to show him who's daddy. Now, Bo Byram, Bo Byram, he got the puck post game, like the MVP of the game for the Buffalo Sabres. And Montreal wasn't happy with their game, but Buffalo wasn't the happiest with theirs either. Like they, they were not like in the room, in the room after they know that they got to be better as well. So I, I love that out of them. Yes. I expect better from Buffalo as well. So got to be a split. What, what did you guys think of the amount of red in the lower bowl? I was still pretty shocked that it was that much. Yeah. I'm not happy with that, but they, they, they say it's even worse in the regular season. Yes. It's all you Southern Ontario people biz that get the cheap tickets compared to Toronto. They come down and I know people were like flooding social media and the news and Buffalo. They don't even want people wearing red, like randomly going to church or going to Wegmans grocery store. They're like no way. We're two weeks. But yeah, I was a little disturbed by that, but I guess there's nothing you can do that they might own some of a lot of the season tickets, the Canadian people, and then they sell off the games they don't want. Oh, yeah, blame Canada. So blame Canada. I did get a kick out of Benson in the post game press conference. The question asked him in Greenway and Greenway was like, why don't you take that one? And he's he's like, I wasn't even listening. I have the attention span of the whole fish. All right now, Benson, he is just, he calls it a hockey city the other day and another press thing. He is just running that city until Josh Allen. I got a buddy who went to the game and he was like, I just bought a Benson Jersey. I bet he's leading sales in jerseys since like playoff started for that team. Here we go. Canadians are very different teams in the Bruins with the way that they play probably some more time in space. What's the adjustment like going from playing that team to playing this team yet a couple of days to prepare? But I'm just curious, you know, what the feeling out process was like, even though you, you know them fairly well. Taking a lead better. I was thinking you were going to answer. I wasn't really listening. Yeah, that's just, that's just, I'm just focused on hockey right now. My family's carnival and then hockey. He's just thinking how he's going to rip a Southern Ontario guy off for 20 bucks for three darts. Bill Fitchner, the guy, the actor that banged the drum, he had a six Benson Jersey on. He's just, he's the guy right now. Did you see the question that they asked Greenway where they're like, Hey, we asked coach just to maybe why you're, you're, you know, scoring and shooting the pill better. And he said he had three goals and practice the other day. He's Joe. He said one of the best nicknames I've ever heard. We did one of those like before camp skates and Naples. I was like, greener, what are you going to, what are you up to tonight? He was like, I don't know, man, probably just grab a grease wheel and hit the sticks. I'm like, what the fuck's a grease wheel? He's like a pizza man. I'm like, that's unbelievable. Calling it a grease wheel is beautiful. I liked that. I'd never heard that. Same. I thought you would have heard that this my buddy freighter up in Toronto. That's all they called them. Merrin. Vented. I thought it was an all-way gel turn. This guy's a really good way. I did not know. So boys, final thing, you know, before we kind of move on from game one is Kirby doc have the nicest goal to play off so far with that was sick. That was sick. Unreal effort. I mean, that makes it, that's a huge goal at that point in the game to just the second effort on it on the backhand was phenomenal. I don't know how did they turn it over on the neutral zone? I don't remember exactly quite. Yeah. I think it was a taged Thompson. Thanks for bringing it up. If I scored that goal after deactivating my, my Instagram because of Montreal fans coming at me, I would reactivate it and just post a picture of my ball bag. Not even the goal, just my, my hairy fucking chewed up bubblegum nutsack right on Instagram post it story it coffee. Oh, right now through what would it be for them eight games, five on five, zero goals, zero assists, nine shots. So that line has one five on five points so far. These playoffs that that would be the one thing as a Canadians fan. I'm a little like, oh, shit, like this is not going to last, whether it's this round or the next round, if they don't, if they don't get going, well, they won't last if they don't get going. Well, that's a good point. And we could talk about what Brindlemore did it in Carolina. But I'm looking forward to game two. I think, I think Montreal have a much better effort. I think he's banged up with you think you think Caulfield's dealing with something. I thought Suzuki was banged up, but he started to look a little better. I mean, I think everyone, everyone's banged up. I imagine for Caulfield just a little tougher, tighter, but it's surprising because that line was just so good. Right. And so of course, he made a great pass over to Suzuki, but that was that was power play. Wasn't it? Yep. Was it Demodog back to or on the goal, on the goal, on the goal. Yeah. But we had another game last night. And for anyone who thought that Vegas like Blutman said he'd be shocked if Vegas lost this series. They've outplayed them both games now and we can go back to the first game in series. We haven't chatted since the no icing call in game one. I've seen a lot of people say, no, no, they got it correct. I think that's completely bullshit. I said that the same leaf. Dave, Dave Jackson. I mean, there was people who were out there. Like it just doesn't, you see the view of where the players are. Lacombe and Eichler skating at you. And that's blown down as an icing pretty much 99 out of 100 times. And this is five minutes to go on a playoff game, but Anaheim, they played, they all played them game one and they dominated last night, dominated that game. I think what did Eichler score with 10 seconds up, whatever it was. I couldn't believe the Ducks haven't had a shutout last season or this season. Yeah. Which is 100, 170 games or something, or maybe 140 games. It's gone where they haven't had a shutout, but it's like who cares? Right? Big, big dub. Leo Carlson's problem. I can't believe how good Trub was playing. Maybe he's awesome. He played 65 on five minutes against McDavid with Lacombe last series and every shift he's out there. Like he's so good at never looking at the puck. I mean, granted, he's looking to take your head off every single time. So it makes sense. He's not looking at the puck, but stance guys up at the blue line. Carlson looks great. All that they have depth Seneca. I mean, that goal was sick man. Cause it was kind of in his feet and he was still able to raise it enough to get it over the love of Carter Hart. But I think Anaheim right now, they got to be feeling great about themselves at biz. I know you're, you're on the train of Vegas and really something going special there, but they can't be happy after two games. No, but I, so kind of like I go on the first round against Utah was very quiet. The first few games and also they got outplayed in the first few games of that series as well. And I think it was still one, one, right? I think that the speed is hard, but they, I know they're veterans. They find a way to adjust. And I think we can all agree that Anaheim has been the better team here. The one thing that Anaheim, if they want to win this series though, they're going to have to figure out their power play boys. I believe over nine right now, they had the file on three early in that game. The five on three was it was 50% five on three. It was similar to that one against Carolina. It was horrible. Yeah. It was horrific, but man, but yeah, like they just keep coming at you. And you talked about that goal from Seneca. Like it was pailing and VL on that line with them. And keep in mind Seneca is used to playing in top six minutes most of the year, right? He played 11 minutes last night, but yet was still effective adapted to his role, playing, playing a limited role where you look at that four check, VL gets on there, pain in the ass as the F one, pailing does a great job of following up along the wall. He just punts it right back down to, to, to VL. And you talked about like, uh, Seneca adjusting to that, to that pass and where it was. How about VL being so close to the net, knowing that Carter Hart's going to throw out his stick and his blocker and he gets it over. Hey, was it a nice saucer pass? No, it was a mag, a ragu meat sauce coming at him, but he still got it over that blocker and that stick and right in his wheelhouse in order for them to get it. So that VL man, he's made a huge impact physically. You saw that big hit he threw on dry side. And how big of a pain in the ass was in the first round and already in this series makes a huge play, which is essentially the game winning goal because Eichelden score until five seconds left and they'd already sealed the deal. So what a job by, by, I mean, pailing was awesome in the first round with all the speed that he possesses. So they are getting contributions from everyone. And, and yeah, Anaheim looks, looks great. What, what else did you guys see from, from Vegas that you weren't happy with? Well, with Vegas, I was going to talk some coaching more on the duck speed that you guys kind of didn't talk about with your favorite line got broken up. He took out McTavish, he took out Ian Moore and he puts in Johnston and Harkins and they made an impact and switching over to Vegas for the coaching. You cannot pull the goalie with McNabb on the ice. They're down two to nothing. McNabb is on the ice. That's not a guy you want on a six on five. And he knows it. He tries to change in the middle of it when they don't have possession, gets turned over, easy empty and lighter lights out for the golden night. So I see coaching in the, in the ducks, they put out the regular lines and warm up. He pulls a switcheroo for the game. That line was super effective. I see a huge mistake by torts on the Vegas side. Coaching coaching coaching. Do you think you think Colisar needs to come out and Smith needs to go back in Mer? Yeah, for sure. Colisar. I love the guy. He's going to have his, he'll be back in at some point, but he's taken two bad penalties now in two games. Really didn't get a lot of ice time. Let's get Smith in there a little more speed and we'll find another spot for Colisar later in the series. I like how Anaheim didn't change their game much. Like, and I think that like Mer was just saying about coaching, like after game one, people were all over them and not shooting pox and making the extra pass and trying to make pretty plays, but that's kind of how they play. And I thought maybe they'd switch it up and play a little bit heavier, but I would imagine and having played for Q, he went in there and said, Hey, listen, we're going to play the way that we've played all year. What's got us to this position? Let's just continue to do that. And I thought they did a really good job of just playing the way that they've played all year and throughout this playoffs and then it gets them that win. And, but going back to the icing and game one, like there's got to be some accountability for the ref that's in the at ESPN or at TNT, like, he can't, he can't just agree with whatever the call was. Like he has to say what he really thinks. We all see the play a couple extra replays. We understand the refs on the ice. Don't get the extra replay. He's got to call it how it is. Am I not? Am I crazy? No, I think it's like the holy union where Hank has a tough time being like, that's a horrible goal. Like they just, they stick together. I get that. But I just, I was watching that game and and Quinville's reaction, the best part of Quinville's reaction, he was losing his goddamn mind before the goal as the place still going on. He's already screaming, not even looking. And then it goes in and it's complete. Just an explosion. Now I'll give Dourfee of credit. That was he has now, Anaheim was kind of like out to lunch, but he dangled somebody made a sick pass to Barbachev. But I get Quinville being disgusted. I, he really calmed down before the press conference, though. He didn't lose his mind. I thought he might just go. No, he got it out on the bench. No, he got, he got it out at the wrong lines, man. It wasn't that guy's call. It's the guy on the other side. He was looking at an ad by association, man. You got those stripes on, you're going to get it. But he knew, like what said, he's flipping out before they even score. He's been in these situations for fucking 30 years. He knows that it could turn into a goal like that. He knows how the hockey world runs. Like it's, those little calls and playoffs matter so much. And he knew before it even went in. Yeah. It's also, you know, Eichel and some of their big dogs on the ice. And the thing is, is cues on the strong side, right? The reason why the, the, the miss call is so egregious is people are saying, Oh, Eichel stretched out his leg and it's almost like they were tied 50, 50 as they reached the hash mark while Ty goes to, to Lacombe and the way the puck was dumped in cross corner, Lacombe has body position on him. That's like the puck is on his side of the ice, including where Q's probably staring right at me and like, there's no way in any world is, is Eichel getting to that puck before Lacombe because of the way it was dumped and where it was dumped. So very egregious. And I agree with you. Like it's okay for, for Jackson to say, Hey, listen, it was a miss call. Like I'd much rather hear that. I think people are going to be more lenient if they hear your honest truth rather than just trying to back up a bad call where it's like, well, no wonder fucking people hate reps because they fuck it. Even when they're wrong, they refuse to admit it. Yeah. If you say, exactly, if you say like, it's just so fast and yeah, kind of botched it. Like as a fan, I'm like, all right, I kind of get it way more than like, you're telling me that was the right call. And yeah. And, and, and, and switch into game two. And we're, we're in the group chat about this to take the focus off of that icing is, is we talked about the Rouge yet, the dick pill. We'll tell you what Q ain't going to need one after the way that the D men and the forwards were laying out for those. Those tall was out of his crease a couple of times and there were some empty nets. There was four fucking Anaheim duck spread, spread eagle, like, like spread duck. How about the Grandland save? Grandland looked like Jagir, JS Jagir in 2004, whatever it was. And I swear to God, Q will be in that locker room. He's always in the hallway giving you knuckles. Love it. Love knuckles more than anyone in the world, more than Harry knuckles, but he, uh, he will be in the hallway. Shit. Grandland. What a goddamn thing. You're going to play the next game. Yeah. Chirin for me. Leggy's fucking sea biscuit. The, the Leo Carlson goal while it was a beautiful pass by Terry, right? If you go back and watch it, Crider brings it in. I think Carlson gave it to Crider. He brings it in and he kind of like goes to drop it and Carlson misses it. If you watch the bread houdon, he doesn't really stop on the puck. He kind of just goes for a little bit of a skate. Terry picks it up. He's in the middle of nowhere. Awesome pass. Carlson gets that one over the glove. That might have hit Hart's glove too, but that makes it two, not to a 13 minutes to go. And Carlson just, I know we keep talking about it, but you're, you're literally watching. And this is a, this is just another example of Mer's, Mer knowing. I mean, Mer's telling us that this, this should be the first overall pick, complete fumble, complete fumble. And now I'm like watching these games. You're, you're, if, all right. So if you're a Western conference player and you're watching these games, you're not playing anymore, your season's over, you're like, Holy shit. Like I played against this guy, I realize it, but now to see it in the playoffs, they are set for the future. And hearing about this Roger McQueen kid who's at Providence, like, don't forget they have another top pick coming. Really? Yeah. Like Anaheim. Yeah. They're just my bed against Pasha boys. Oh my God. He's still fucking delusional. He still thinks he's going to win that one. No, no, no, no. He knows now. Leo on Leo Carlson. And the reason I knew it, because I was able to go to their games and just watch him. He was 16 years old. Where did he play there in Orbro? And if you were in that building, you can just see the control he had on the entire game. He's 16 in a men's league. I saw other 16 year olds, they didn't have that control. And that's why scouts have to be in the building. I don't want to hear any of these analytic guys that are watching it on the video and watching the numbers. You saw him live in person. It was something different. And that's why these analytics, I'll never get into them as much as Pasha. It's by the eyeballs. And even DeMers, I saw DeMers, another guy coming over that he should have been the number one this morning. Also, shout out Pat Verbeek. And at that point, it was Cronin, was the coach. But I'm guessing it was Verbeek's idea that if you remember Carlson's rookie year, he would play a game or two. Yeah, Stamco treatment. Sit out one or two. And then he, and then it came out. They still had his hips developing. Yeah, he was still growing and stuff like that. But you're watching a guy turn into a superstar and just take over games. And then you're seeing like the size of them. I mean, Eichel's enormous and Carlson's just there skating with them. Same type player. It's, uh, I think Anaheim's in a great spot going home, boys. Now they keep showing the Anaheim Ducks. I, by the way, shout out Ducks fans. I was a duck quack. Their rink party when they show the, it just looks a little, they got to fill in the floor a little bit. They sold it out both times. I think they're allowed, it's a, it's, they allow for like 9,000 fans to be in there. And they said that they've sold it out, but yes, it doesn't look like Montreal or like, like the Oilers, no, but it's Anaheim and, okay. However, however, however many people show up, you just say that that's a sellout. It's like, yeah, 6,000. We could only have 6,000. We only sold tickets quack. Um, the comparison that I saw online was it's basically like they got Sasha Barkov, but he's developed earlier. Like he's, he's like, or like he, like he's, he's what? Like a year away from being like, like to hire one or two years from being a high end Sasha Barkov. Yeah. And that's a great point because Barky, his, I mean, maybe his teams weren't as good, but I was with him as rookie year. And I remember just being like, now let's look at his numbers. I remember being like this kid, he was, he was so big, like thick. I mean, he had 24 points his first year, 36 points is next year. The first year he played 54 games. Wow. Carlson put very similar. Yeah. And then he popped off his fifth season for 78 points, then 96. Yeah. I mean, I, there might be more offensive talent with Carlson. I know that sounds insane. And Keith, you might be someone who says bark, you could get a hundred points every year, but Carlson is, is something else. And if I'm Anaheim going home, I'm feeling very good about where I sit. He's very, he's very fluid for a big guy. Like he doesn't look big because of how he moves in that sense. Like you're like, how does he move so efficiently yet? He's so big. There's been three or four plays he's made in this series alone where he's picking, picking it up in the middle of a pivot. I mean, the one plate of the comb is the one everyone's talking about, but there's been a couple others where, and then he'll get a quick stick handle through a guy's triangle when it looks like he has no room and no time. So if they get game, if they get game three, Ben, so you're going to start, are you going to start wearing a little bit about your golden Knights? Or are you still, they're not my, they're not my golden Knights. I just from, I just, I, I do believe in a veteran group and how they got to Mojo going, but a man credit to Anaheim. It's awesome to see a team take this next step like this and, and credit to Verbeek and staff, like with the mix of veterans, like they are way ahead of schedule. Oh yeah. Way ahead of schedule. What was the last thing I was going to mention there? I'm happy for Vial too, because that fourth line against Edmonton, right? It was so dominant. Then he decides to make the change with more and McTavish out. And that is an example of like a player like you want more ice time, like go out and go out and earn it. And then he's on the third line with Pailing and Seneca. And it's like, that's just, I just love seeing that, right? Like, hey, you want more ice time. You can't sit there and say, I want to play more, like go out and do it. And he gets moved up a line with the lineup changes. So, and it's going to piss off McTavish. So when he does get back in the lineup, he sees what Vial has been doing. Maybe he tries to mimic his game a little bit more. It's, it's good for the whole team. I think, uh, make, I mean, I've texted this in the group chat, McTavish is a bit of a wild card. If you, I so cam him during games, like sometimes he'll make a great play. And then other times you're like, Oh, what the, hey, oh, um, I think he could play. I hate saying this as a guy who wasn't this way, but just like, he could be a little harder, right? Yeah. He's a fucking big boy. Like if he was mean as shit, I don't, maybe I'm, oh, he's missing that. And he's a, he's a thick kid. If man, I feel bad for hurdle cause he's like the nicest guy in the league, but I think that he would be a health bomb on, on, on my trickle's cup team right now. They keep putting power play. I think Terry Ryan's getting in the lineup before. Yeah. Well, I, I, I, I gotta give some life to our Vegas guys, Migs and Blutman, Golden Knights are 0 and 6 and game two of the second round. They've gone on to win four of the previous five series. Okay, Mer, I wasn't aware of that. All right. Well, Mer, thank you so much, buddy. Uh, great job on game notes. Congrats on a hundred episodes with the daggle money. Oh, another one. Oh yeah. The daggle is the best. Make sure you go listen to him. He's out of control. We're going to keep getting him on. Congrats. The game notes, a hundred episodes, folks. Go check them out. All right. Before we bring in juice, let's talk about athletic brewing, athletic brewing company crafts. I've never tried this one. Good call. Yeah. So that's one of the sour. That's one of the sour's right there. Little something different. So I, I like the, the hairy IPAs as you guys know, this one I had, I just put down there as a golden. I actually crushed all six of the IPA ones. I had three while we were on the stream the other night. That's why, well, you could find athletic brewing's best selling, best selling lineup at grocery or liquor stores near you or try a variety of limited styles exclusively on their website. It's not overbearing either. You're not like, like a sour after it's very light. Oh, it's nice. Goes down nice and easy. And also this isn't even cold and it's great. Wow. It's just room temp right now. Room temp. All right. Well, we also, we got to talk about shell. I'm going to be honest. I don't usually get excited about loyalty programs, boys. They promise big rewards and then it's like, you actually have to eat 48 pizzas to get one for free. So when I heard, so when I heard about the shell fuel rewards program, I was skeptical, shocking. I know me. I'm not usually skeptical, but I was. But here's the thing. It's actually kind of annoyingly practical. You're already getting gas. You're already grabbing takeout. You're already buying snacks. You didn't need, but absolutely deserve. And with shell fuel rewards, you just get rewarded for all that. And not in a fake points, you'll never use type of way. It's actual savings on gas. And the part that got me the saving stack. So it's not like one sad little discount. It's you fill up, you eat your shop, and it all piles up into real savings at the pump. Joining takes less than three minutes in the shell app and you'll save on every fill after that, literally every single one. Join the shell fuel rewards program and save. Now give me juice. Give me some juice onto this show. And as we bring on juice, you mean bring them in. And while he's on, I got to say, juice, you would love these because you're in shape. Only 40 calories and $2 million a year get donated back to local trails. So hiking trails like you got you love hiking juice. Are you a hiker? This is your dream. I almost believe you, but I almost believe it says it right on the fucking can given back up to juice. What happened to the teeth? Oh, they're right here. I'm just eating some oatmeal. Yeah. But biz you're telling me that tastes good, like warm. It's room temperature. It's great. I like I do like hiking. I think everyone likes hiking, don't they? Given up to 2 million per year annually. I didn't make it up. It's on the can buddy. They don't lie. A medic. That's pretty cool. That's pretty cool. Happy for you. So you don't sound genuine right there. When you say that, juice, when you get to Toronto at the start of the playoffs, you're just there till cup finals that when you're traveling from arena to arena for the for the games. Yeah. Yeah. The finals were on site. I'll go home for I got like a five day window where I got to go home and do some family stuff. But I check into the hotel for 51 days. I go buy myself a candle at Shoppers Drug Mart. Oh, nice. Probably illegal in a hotel. I set the mood in my room. I unpack. I go get some some waters and some Gatorades. And I set up shop and I'm basically every day. You know what's nice though is those W's is usually there's like a nice little living room area. Like you got a room where you can like stretch out and it's not like you're not you don't feel like you're in a crammed hotel room. Yeah. So you got the bed and the golf clubs and then you got your busy state here before that's a good setup. It's a really good setup. It's unbelievable. The gym's good and in the gym now. I don't know last time you stayed here, but they added a whole bunch of equipment and they had so now they have all these personal trainers in there. So every day I go in there's like four or five of these dudes that are personal trainers and they have clients and these guys love hockey. So every day I walk in it's just nonstop hockey talk and then with the draft lottery, I'm scared to go in there today. I think it's going to be a 45 minute conversation about who the Leafs are picking. They still got the heavy bags in there. No, no heavy bags. Yeah, you stayed here too, Jens. Yeah, they used to have. No, they got rid of the heavy bags and they added like three racks. So you have actual like weight. Now there's people, there's a guy, like a six year old guy trap our dad lifting the other day and it's kind of a while. It's fun. Fun to see David Amber. Yeah, he's a unit. He could probably, he could probably play starting safety in the CFL David. David is too nice. Too nice. What do you make of everything that went down over the last 48 hours or three days? It's been a bit of a circus there. Yeah, like the draft lottery. Well, first of all, I don't really understand your reaction. I thought you were so pro Leafs ambassador and then you jumped ship. You didn't want to win the first over. Why? I just because the GM earlier, we had him in Arizona. Oh, you're not a fan. Well, I just, I don't want to get into it now. It was tough sledding. I don't like the way the dome was treated when he was in charge. Okay. You want to go back to you interviewing me then instead of me interviewing you? Well, I mean, I could talk, I could call you after and explain why and go into going to big time. No, no, no, no, no, no. A certain degree. Is there anybody, if there's, is there anybody that you played with where if they were kind of shunned, what if, what if, if they were shunned from the organization that you were involved in that you would be loyal to them and you'd say, I'm good. I don't, I don't want to be like a city for example. Yeah, but no, I understand what you guys were saying for sure. Your loyalties are to your friends and your teammates. I get that. I just was kind of stirring the pot. Oh, I know. But I was just, I was questioning your loyalty. Who are you loyal to? Like, who are your rider dives? Elliot. Elliot for sure. Elliot, Amber. Yeah, like Ron, teammates. Right. And when I played to, it was the same thing. Well, I was just watching four seconds left in the Anaheim, Vegas game. I didn't see Ross Johnson and Cole, Sarah having a little convo. Like maybe they're going to go. Nothing happened there. But back to the hockey stuff, like the draft lottery, I actually quickly talked to the, the CD's after it because obviously Vancouver, they thought they were going to get the first pick and that, that didn't happen. I said, it's kind of a blessing in the skies in my opinion, because this draft is not like a Celebrini where Celebrini's clear cut number one and it's a big drop off, you know, the Russian below him and then some other guys. And then even the Badaard, although I heard you talking about Leo Carlson, arguably he could be better than Badaard, but going into that draft, it was clear cut Badaard number one. There's no clear cut guy this year and it really is based on, on your needs. So I think you almost dodge a bullet where you don't get the pressure and the scrutiny of picking first overall and making sure you pick the right guy. That's a slam dunk. And at number three, you could possibly get the guy that you wanted at number one anyways, depending on what the Leafs do. Like you would just think the safe pick is McKenna, right? If you don't want any backlash, you got a winger who can play with Matthews. That's the safe pick. And then when you go to San Jose, if they don't like trade down or anything like that, like they need a defenseman, like they have great forwards, great young forwards and they got Sam Dickinson. But after that, they need some young defensemen. They need a right hand shot. Well, there's two great right hand shot defensemen in the top five. So if you're a Vancouver, you're probably going to get your, your Stenberg or your Caleb Mahaltra or your Chase Reed, like whoever they value number one. So it's kind of like it was a blessing in the skies. And then, but for the Leafs, the Leafs needed that for their organization. I know you don't want to hear it. No, I'm fine with that. But they need something good to happen, right? And Matt's coming in, I play with Matt. So you say, who am I loyal to? Like, I'm a big Matt Sundin fan. He was unbelievable to me. He came in and we all knew he was going to be in the Hall of Fame. He played half a season with us. He got absolutely piled drive by the media and the coaching staff when we were there. Like he came in at Christmas and he was behind, you know, he wasn't really playing. He was training a little bit back in Sweden and he worked his butt off. He was doing like lunges before practice. He would work his butt off. And then at the end of his gate, like some of the first games that he played, he'd take like kind of a bad penalty at the end, like a stick penalty. And the next day in video, Vino would show it on video and be like, brutal penalty, son. And you call him son, brutal penalty, son. And we're all looking around like there, no, not that anybody should be exempt from that treatment, but there's some guys that are kind of above being embarrassed in a meeting. And son. Oh, yeah. Everybody's son. Yeah, we thought that match was, I thought match was above that. So what do you think his reaction would be guys? Like what would your reaction be if you were a Hall of Famer and somebody was talking down to you? You would probably feel confident enough to fire back. This guy just took it best teammate ever, never complained. So I got a lot of time for mats. A lot of time. I love that. When you guys went back to Toronto, didn't he get the shootout winner? Yeah, we were talking about that yesterday. They came by to say hi in the studio. And I said, Hey, because we're talking about like the memories you miss with the boys when you're done playing. And I go, remember that the night after mats, because he took us all out to music and we walked into the bar afterwards full sushi, shred and everything. Matt took care of the whole night. So on the ice and off the ice, that was a super memorable night. It was so cool to see him honored there. And, you know, you could tell he was emotional and everything. And like I grew up in Toronto like you and I grew up watching him and the Leafs. So it was pretty cool for me to see that moment. That's awesome. Wow. So cheer for him, this cheer for my life. I am. It's more about like some of the Leafs fans coming at me for not like knowing why the fuck I did it. And like I said, I'm just, I'm loyal to my guys and that's it. I've put the line in the sand, my friend. Looks good. If we're speaking about future Hall of Famers, what Nathan McKinnon is doing right now in the playoffs. Colorado looks heads and shoulders better than Minnesota. They have 14 goals in two games. McKinnon has three points in his last three games. Each game he's got three points. Not only that, he runs over Boldy. He runs over Quinn Hughes. He's just completely dominant and juice. I'll go to you. Is there any chance Mini can get back in this series? And we've said before with no Erickson and Ek and Brodeen, that's what makes this look almost impossible right now. What's G saying right now in the track group? Has he said that? No, he dropped Boldy. He said he joined some exclusive company with his third straight three point playoff game. The only players to accomplish that over the past 40 years. Leon Dreisseidel in 2022. Michael Ronton in last year's Pavelski in 2010. Joe Sackich in 97 and Dennis Marook in 1986. And then he also reminded us that he went after Boldy and Quinn Hughes. It looked like the dog was out to prove a point in the last game. Yeah. Jump energy if you got something good like that next time. Some good stuff. He's the producer. Oh, is that how it works? Well, he cops in sometimes that you got you on. We can't have 10 guys on the mics. That's why he wrote it so he can read it. I know. I know. I just calling him out. Give me a chance to read off a six that that he found. Now, that was great. No, McKinnon's been awesome. He's been the thing about him is, you know, like he's obviously he's fast and he's super skilled, but he's a big dude. Like people forget that when, when he was 19 years old, he played his first, first full NHL season. They, they lost, I believe in the first round of the playoffs, then he came over the world championships and he met us there. He was kind of the last guy to show up because he played, you know, some guys play one round and come over. The rest of us missed the playoffs. So he came over kind of like late and he wanted to play and he's 19 years old and we knew how fast and how good he was. And he comes up to me and practice the one day and he goes, Hey, you teach me how to fight? And they go, What? And he goes, Yeah, yeah. So like, I'm like, Okay, so we dropped the gloves and it was nice because there's no cameras or no, nothing there. And, and he's 19 and I'm just kind of like, first thing you teach a guy is how to protect himself. And I just kind of grab him by the shoulders. He grabs me and like, I thought I was pretty strong and he's just a 19 year old kid and he just starts whipping me around a little bit. And I'm like, Okay, like this guy is going to be fine. Right? He's just another thing to add to his repertoire. And I think McDavid is really strong on his feet. McKinnon's a different level of strength and power though. So he's a really hard guy to shut down. You can't bully him. You know, like, boldly, I think is a big strong dude on his feet. And that was a huge, huge hit. So when he's determined, I think Nate dog, there's very few people that can slow him down. It's when he gets kind of, you know, a little frustrated and maybe poopy pants sometimes, that's when you got him. But he's not like that right now. So let's scare you. Yeah, he's more inclined to throw a reverse hit than McDavid would be. And to initiate contact is the way that I would put it. Yeah, that's a good way. Another guy on that team that I think has been on rail is Marty Naches. Like just his speed, he almost looks like McKinnon out there sometimes the way him and they get up and down the ice. I think looking back, like now making that trade for Ranton and bringing in Naches, like there's no way they're regretting that. Naches is so sexy the way he skates. Oh yeah. Cause he's probably like six, three. And when he starts crossing over, he's got like that little hop to his step and the jersey starts fluttering. And he just has really good style. Like my son, you guys have met my son. He's always been a Carolina Hurricanes fan. So Naches has always been one of his favorite players with all. Yeah. He's like, why? He said that he watched Ajo and Theravine and World Juniors. And that's when he first started to like him. So he's been a day one since I play. Like I was still in the league and he was cheering for her Carolina while I was still playing. He's like, dad, will you get me a Martin Luke stick? Exactly. Well, he's got, he's got one. It's funny. Like the first All-Star game I worked, I brought him with me and Ajo was there and they were doing the media scrum before. And he's, my son's a really shy kid, especially when he was younger and he was probably like 12. And I go over and I introduced him to Ajo and Ajo was probably like 1920. And he's a shy kid too. And they both just basically stared at each other and nobody talked. And I'm like, cool. I'll tell him what you said. Sebastian, tell it like there's like mediating a conversation between two like mute kids. What do you make of, of what Stankoven, Hall and Jackson Blake are doing? And more, like more importantly, like Stank, like I was kind of surprised that they, they, like, they were okay going in with him as a second line center. It's not like he was a world burner as far as offensive output this season too. I think he finished the regular season like 40, 45 points. Like, did you think that was a risk going in or you shocked what he's shown us so far in the first six games of playoffs? I feel like a really bad analyst because I told everyone before that I talked to about Carolina. I just don't trust a team that has their top five offensive guys under five foot 10. I just, I just don't get it. Jarvis, Ajo, Stankoven, Jackson Blake and Eelers. And they're making me look pretty, pretty silly, but all of us, all of us. But I knew, I knew like from watching my world juniors, I knew Stankoven was like a little bit of a pit ball and, but I mean, he like, what a player he, every shift he throws ahead, he steals the puck, he makes a sick play, he skates it, he's kind of fearless out there. And I think the one good thing about Carolina is we all know how they're such a great team, right? Like there's, you can't really fool us. I think we know they're a great team. And that line is kind of taken over the Ajo, St. Fetchnikov, Jarvis line in the playoffs, and they're playing better. They're producing more. And you're seeing the transition where they're starting more power plays, they're starting more games, and they're kind of getting played more like a first line. And I don't see any pout from the Jarvis line. Like their Jarvis is just going out and getting run over and taking hits to make plays and blocking shots and doing whatever he can to win. So that's a sign of a good playoff team. When one line's going, you ride the hot hand, and there's no hard feelings from everybody else below them or above them. I was just going to say, Sanheim and Ristalainen have been on them most of the games that I've seen, and you'll see tonight at home, who will be their number one line? Because if Sanheim and Risto are on that, this Stankhoven line, then that's their number one line that they're afraid of. So yeah, interesting question. You and Witt, defensemen, three defensemen, who was your toughest matchups? Like I hated playing the little guys, the little fast guys that you go near them and they tight turn away from you. Like I loved, like I didn't love it, but I didn't mind playing Joel Thornton and Ryan Clough and Marlowe. Like I didn't mind that line more so than like a line with all these little speedsters. Like those guys are not easy to play against. No. Especially when there's two of them on one line. Yeah. And their compete levels are really high. So their motors are what makes them so successful. So you're in the corner. You think you might have them pinned? They're spinning off you. Now I saw a cool, well, first I want to show it off. Brindamore, because the Svechnikov-Aho Jarvis line had been a little slow. Then he put Jarvis with Stahl and Eilers. And then that produced the goal that tied it up in game two. Jarvis's buddies did. Yeah, true. True. And I think they're multiplying. I think there's like 12 of them now. I thought it was six before, but Brindamore was like, all right, let's switch it up. And then if you look at that, now I don't know if Martin can get Aho and Svechnikov going, but obviously Eilers Jarvis installed. That's an awesome line. Then I saw a video of Stankhoven where they're interviewing his dad who was down at the game. You know, the pregame tailgates, he's got a beer in hand and he's just talking about how at Olympic break, Stankhoven went home. And he's like, I don't even know if I'm going to get 30 points, dad. Like I think he had 18, 19 points and he's just talking to him, like try to take some pressure off yourself, you know, like, and Stankhoven says how much his dad's meant to him. He coached him, you know, his entire life growing up and he's taken off since then. So sometimes it shows like you go back, you have a chat with your father who's been your coach your whole life and you kind of simplify things. But that kid, he's the first ever, the youngest player in NHL history to begin the playoffs on a five game goal streak. So it's like, I didn't, I didn't know that. You kind of forget how young he is too. But I do think that Philly, like with, with their game and game two, they, they, they're in one now because I don't think about, I'm going to think about winning the series. Like how do you beat this team four out of five? That's my thing with Minnesota and Colorado. Like you're, I don't know if you're going to see a team beat these guys four out of five, but Philly, at least with that effort going home has a chance here. They do need to have like Porter, Marton boys, like he, he slowed down a little bit. I totally get it. You come from college, run and all of a sudden you get a little tired and the tip and injury tip, the tip and injury. I also had no idea for speed bursts of 22 miles an hour or more. He was second in the league behind McDavid. Oh yeah, that'll go. There's no arcades out now for the series. Yeah. Lower body up. So like you're right. The injuries are pulling on, I think to beat Carolina because they play that man on man and they're, they're all over you in the, in the neutral, like everywhere you get the puck and boom, guys right on you. Cause he's just like ISO camming you and he, and he has you. So you have to be a good one-on-one player and Zegers is a really good passer. He's a really good kind of like, you know, off the rush, three on twos. Like he's creative that way, but he's not necessarily a guy who can spin off Slaven and beat him, take it to the net. You know what I mean? Like more tone is one of the guys I think can do that. I think he can beat a guy down low and take it to the net. Those are the type of players I think that create offense, you know, historically against Carolina, but I don't know. I think that Philly, they had a great start to game too, but I really thought they needed to win that game just, just for their confidence to think they could be in the series. So they got a tall task, man. Like it might be hate to say it, hate to do it to talk, but like it might be a sweet, like this could be a sweep series or in Carolina sitting around just licking their chops, waiting for Montreal and Buffalo to beat each other up. Have you ever been on a team where like basically since like all star break, you have to go on a crazy run to even get in? And if so, like how much energy does that take away from you? Because I feel like they've been playing playoff hockey now for like two months already, right? It's not like they got a little bit of rest going into playoffs. It's like every game was a must win situation for them to even get in. I think it was 3.8% was the chance they had after Olympic break. So, Jus, have you ever like had to do that and like, do you hit that wall? Yeah, I have. I've been so 2010, 11, we won the president's trophy in Vancouver. We ended up making a whole run to the finals, game seven, all that stuff. The next season was about a month left. We were, it was so tight. There was so much parity in the West that we were kind of on the verge of not making the playoffs, but our division was all still really close. So we had to grind to make the playoffs and we ended up winning the president's trophy again. And everyone said we were the worst team to ever win the president's trophy. Like that's it already? Well, I don't know. Like, well, yeah, here's the evidence. So then we were the number one seed playing the Kings in the first round and they beat us pretty easily. So we were just like, not a little bit from the year before, but just playing all these meaningful games and not so much physically because you can recover it's like the mental like we're every mistake is such a big deal. Like when you play 20 games of that, then you start the playoffs. Like as soon as the playoffs start, you're almost like, oh, I can exhale now. You know, like every mistake is not like we have four wins to play with here or four losses, I should say to play with here. Like, I don't have to be that mentally on. And the next thing you know, you're down two, three, one in the series. So that's a real thing. And your fan base is like kind of just happy you made playoffs. Like it's just like you're playing with houses, money, everybody's in a good mood. And you've broken a what five, six year streak of not making the dance. So somebody mentioned biz on the stream, I think about Carolina and the way they play and how much energy it takes. If they can get a sweep or in five, that makes such a difference to them because like they're the man on man thing, like it is definitely harder in your own zone. Are they in their own zone that much? Not really. The slave and slave and continues like you watch games, man. And that guy is so fast. And he makes it. He'll make a stick check in his own zone. And all of a sudden he skates it to the red line and he'll, you know, dump it in change or make a pass. And it's just like this guy is so much better than I think people give him credit for. And even in the past few years, people have really started understanding. But if you're a flyer, spend who doesn't see Carolina a lot, you're like, Whoa, this guy's, he's impossible to get around. The wet. There's a, where there's an, there's an analytics statistic to support what you're saying. It's called like disruption stats and Carolina and slave and are off the charts. Like disruption and, and 50, 50 battles wanted like killing plays. They're so good at that. And so they're man on man and Montreal is also kind of a man on man, tons of energy. So what are both those teams have in common? They play everybody. Everybody plays on their team, like pretty even across the board. Like Montreal, you're talking about Carolina and Montreal, like Montreal's D is a little bit skewed that third pairings a little bit below, but in Carolina, everybody plays like they rule the lines. You have to, that's what I was just going to bring up. So the least amount of ice as far as forwards in, in, in game two was Jan Kowski and he played 13 minutes. Wow. You look that. Yeah, dude, that I was just, that's really, really why I brought this up. Cause you talk about how they do get tired or they could get tired because of how hard they play. They do such a good job of having no passengers and just, and distributing ice that not only are they going to get their rest, but they keep everybody fresh cause they roll four lines. And that's how they're able to keep that pace up throughout the course of a game. Now, I also thought that this was crazy. Who do you think led their team in ice time on D last game? Bez, you needed to figure out if you played 13 minutes, buddy, I played 11 against the Edmund Tonewiller. I had to, I had to take the next practice off. Ask Jans. I was in a body cast in the room. The next Jans played 11 minutes in the first period. He was literally the next day. He's like, how do you guys do this? Getting IVs had the Norma tech boots on. You took your option, right? Took your first time ever. First time ever. Was it Keondre Miller? No, but he was second. Walker, Sean Walker. No, it was Chatfield. I was in Chatfield seven times. I was asking those, I was asking juice, but sorry. Do you think it's because their first line isn't going that well, that they just spread the love throughout? Like if they were humming and going out at a good clip, getting chances all the time that they'd be getting a little bit more ice time, but now that they're not, they just kind of spread it throughout everyone. I think as a coach, I think if they were to your point, if they were going like really going, you'd start with them, you go line one, line two, one, three, line four. And then the next time you go line one, line two, like three, back to one. So you'd maybe get them every three lines once in a while and maybe it's slowed out with the fourth. But if they're not going and your fourth line's going, then I think you just, you just continue to roll them. And then, you know, obviously special teams resets everything. So who's Patrick Kelly, who's power play that that resets things. But this playoffs, what a lot of teams are doing, like Anaheim did this the whole first round, as soon as they, and who did it last night, Montreal has been doing it as well. After every power play, they come out with the full fourth line because you know how like on a power play, you have two units. So essentially, you have eight forwards that are on the two, two units with two D. So that's like a, like one guy from one line, one guy. So the fourth line, usually nobody plays on the power play. So a lot of these teams, because they trust their fourth line so much, they're coming out of a power play with a full fourth line. And all those guys are fresh. And now it kind of resets everyone and they can get their lines back together quickly. Like I don't remember teams doing that when I, when we were playing, well, I guess when I was playing a little bit older than you, but that's kind of a cool thing. But you got to trust your fourth line to do that. And if you don't score, you can go out and get an energy shift, kind of get the life back into your group. So and to answer your question, each of their like Carrier, Jankowski and Robinson, they, they average 11 minutes of ice during the regular season. So they're rolling like they were, there's not a lot of change. It has to be the most in the league for a fourth line. I would say that they're up there now. I don't know that that's regular season. I'd be curious if that aligns with the way that playoffs have gone so far. There's no way Carrier is a fourth liner the whole, the whole year though. He must go up to the third at times. I've seen him because he's kind of one of those guys where he can move up and down. Jankowski is averaging 12 so far, this playoffs as a vice time. Robinson's kind of for sure, a fourth liner would you get a lot of chances, man? He's fast as shit too. He's averaging 10 minutes these playoffs. And that's probably exactly why like you go to Carolina, you're not going to have 100 point seasons. If you're a guy, like you got to, you got to be bought in to play there to be like, Hey, listen, like you, a really good season is 80 points. If you're a high end, like a ho. But like they really get their guys to buy in and to not bitch about it. Like you said, only playing 15 minutes instead of the big dogs on other teams when they're playing 21. Yeah. But how good is that for team culture when after the game, everyone's, you know what it's like when the top guys play 23 and then there's a guy that played six or seven and they grab the event summary after and they're kind of just like bitching under the bed. Oh, I'm barely playing tonight. Like, and you, and they like, I don't care. Like I didn't, I didn't have any. Get on the bike. Yeah. And you're just miserable. Like it's so good when everybody feels like they have like an impact in the outcome of the game. I think that's one thing not to make it about Edmonton where fans are like, I, they're kind of asked to be more even though it's time. Yeah. Carolina is like proof of, of what that can do. But going back to this, I want to ask you this juice, Minnesota kind of started it with that as a defenseman, Alexander Dagle, the Dagle was on with game notes yesterday and he's the guys that Quinn Hughes is playing too much. I see what he's saying. I also see that he, that's just what he's so used to, but at this point, like with how physical Colorado's been, do you think you try to lower his minutes or you really can't with Brody note? That's who that was. Hey, I saw the clip online. I didn't know who it was. Yep. I don't know that that's tricky. It's the same conversation with McDavid and dry settle. Like they play too much, but like I'd rather take McDavid and dry sell at 50% than anyone on the bottom six. So I don't know, like Quinn Hughes, like I watch Quinn Hughes as he gets tired at the end of a shift. Yeah. Like sometimes you'll, he doesn't have the juice to get it, get away from a guy because he's so good at escaping four checkers. And when a guy comes to him and he doesn't have a passing lane, he can quick turn, quick turn, quick turn, see a later bud. And he loses that ability as the shifts go on, but I don't, I've watched this series and I don't think, I don't think that heard him. And I watched him a lot in the Olympics because I thought, what's the difference with this us team from four nations of the Olympics? And it was only Quinn Hughes and everybody thought that the us team had the best decor at four nations and the best decor at the Olympics. So now all of a sudden you insert this guy to the best decor, but he plays monster minutes. Like how is that going to affect all the other guys around him when he's out there so much? And I didn't really think his extra shifts and his long shifts hurt him. He always has like a little bit of gas left in the tank. So I don't know, like you're down to nothing right now going home. Like you, you play that guy as much as he wants to play. But as a coach, I always like watch guys where they come off, they're breathing in the recovery. If he just had a hard shift where he's gas and he's skating around, he's got the puck and he takes a couple big hits. That's the time you give him a break. So like you're almost watching his body and his recovery throughout the game, rather than the line matchups or who's up next and you just get them out and put them in a good situation. You think he's gas, give him an extra shift. Even if he's like, I'm good, I'm good. I'd be like, no, bro, I can see your chest beating a thousand miles an hour. You just took a huge hit by, you know, somebody, you remember he's lying underneath the pile for five minutes. Like, no, you're going to sit one and get recovered. I wish we had a high end forward on here. No offense, Biz, but like to ask him this question because, you know, because I remember having a conversation with Dan Cleary and we were talking about Lidstrom and he would just say like, he was like, Nick would have the puck on his stick for half a second and just pass it right up to the forwards, get it in the hands of the forwards. Like always talk about that. And I'd love to like find out from a guy like Carill or like, does he hold on to the puck too long sometimes? You know, I love watching him and I love the fact that he holds on to the puck and makes his plays, but I wonder if the forwards, if it kind of gets them out of sync. Yeah, you got to pick your spot. You got to pick your spots when you're playing those minutes. Like not every shift can be super eventful. And I don't know, like breaking, breaking. Guys, we do have some breaking news here. Breaking. Oh, there he is. Told me to there. But when Hughes has not been named to the Norris finalists, it's Ross, Miss Dahlin, Kale McCar and Zach Wrenski. Wow. No, Bouchard either. This is going to fall. Wrenski's year, boys. No chance. No chance. You think McCar gets it again? I think McCar is the best defenseman, but I think Dallin's going to win it. What? No. I do. I think Dallin's going to win it. He's, like it's his year, for sure. Like he penalty kills, he plays hard. He's got tons of block shots. He's kind of a complete, complete defense. Like look at the jump that their team made. Like the fact that Wrenski's team didn't make the playoffs, that will hurt him and the voters' opinions. I think 100%. The fact that Dahlin did all that while his fiance, I think he's engaged now, was going through everything that she was going through. Handed to him. But I don't think, in my opinion, and we're splitting hairs here because easily Quinn Hughes could be in there, Bouchard, Lane Hudson. You could throw so many different guys in there. McAvoy still, Jake Sanderson. Like what a year for defenseman. But I still think McCar is the best defenseman. He starts power playing penalty kill not only on the Colorado Avalanche, the best team in the NHL, but Team Canada, the best country in the world. And he's the clear. Thank you. Thank you, juice. Thanks. I don't know. They are though. Like you guys barely dominated that game. Paralympics. I don't know about that. Paralympics. Paralympics. That's what you're saying. Three for three, bitch. Would I say that to your face? Maybe not, but three for three, bitch. They touch the puck as much as I did if I was playing three. It was domination. But yeah, whatever. You guys are, you guys won, but you didn't, you're not the better team. Just because the better team doesn't always win. Okay, John. Okay, Rod and Coop. I love that. I needed another Canadian on. I know. I'm getting fucking dumb. They both get ball you had Tasha, but then he completely just like more American than you guys. I could ask juice one thing about the Canucks. I think it's been eight or 16 drafts in a row where they haven't bumped up in draft position. And I know you're loyal to the Canucks. Like they've got the worst fucking luck in the world, man. They have never gone up in draft position. They've never had, I think, well, they had the second, third overall pick, but in the last, like I said, last 16 years, like, well, they had to trade for the other, well, they had second, I think they had to trade, Berkey had to trade for the third. Yeah. Like, how do we change the lockup for the Canucks, Kevin? Do you want me to connect you to Rhonda Lorne? Rhonda Lorne, line one, here's Biz. Yeah. I mean, scouting is tough and you need some breaks for sure. And, but I just think like you have to, you have to pick your guys have to make sure you identify who you get and then you have to develop them. I think you have to be committed to developing them. And I think in a Canadian market, that's hard sometimes because there's so much pressure to win now. Even when you're rebuilding and even when you're retooling on the fly, there's still some pressure to be competitive every night. You know, your power blade goes all for four, you're getting boot off the ice at home. So it's so hard to be patient and develop your draft picks in a Canadian market. So at some point, yeah, somebody has to make a stand and there has to be alignment that this is what we're going to do. We're going to draft well and we're going to develop all of our draft picks. And basically, all can say their biz. There's such a panic now. I feel as a GM, like you got to know your scouts are good at what they do because look at the UFAs every year, every year there's less and less. And if you don't draft well now, you have zero chance. That's everything. Back quickly to this series. Little Vancouver talk there. Sorry. So even strength, they're actually pretty even. What are we talking about with special teams here in Minnesota? You pointed it out to us. Yeah, they're penalty. They can't PK or have a PP. The fact that their PP was running at, I think it was at 8% last I checked might be even a little bit lower now after that game the other night, but their penalty kill was atrocious against Dallas. Yeah, Dallas has one of the best power plays in the league, but juice, like I was getting texts from Jared Stoll and he's like, man, like they can't take away the simple low play. Like just it's all about stick positioning. Like what the fuck are they doing? So it maybe goes back to certain guys maybe playing too much ice and maybe not knowing how to play certain specialty areas. Well, what do you make of how dog shit their special teams are? Well, last game, Ryan Strom has been in for a couple days doing some analysts work. Yeah, he's been awesome. Right. He's been really good. And so he was kind of pointing out the last mini game, like the down low plays and he's like, okay, this is a set playoff that you get that face off when you get possession, they're running through this play first. It's the most obvious play that everybody's seen. Every penalty kill is seen. The most obvious? You pre-scout this team before the playoffs. You should know, okay, McKinnon gets the puck, he goes, or sorry, nature's gets the puck, he goes down low to McKinnon, the goal line, he's trying to hit Lengis God bumper or backdoor. Like, how do you not know what your responsibility is if that gets there? So for me, it's a little bit of coaching. So the first one goes down to McKinnon, Middleton goes and slides across and the other guy is late. Like they're almost like the other defense, like, should I take the bumper or should I take the net front guy? Like, how do you not know what that read is? That read should be set in stone before the series even starts. So it's a little bit of execution for me, for Minnesota, but a big part of it also is Ericksonak. You know, when you have a guy who's so frigging good and starts every penalty kill and double shifts, it's a big hole, man. That's a really big hole for a team to fill. What does Brodeen play as far as penalty kill during the regular season? Yeah, another guy. He's a PK. Their PK is 59% in the playoffs and the power play is 13%. Like it's, it's got to be better if you want to. And I would say, I would argue that a defenseman is more important on the penalty kill than a forward. Like the way that defenseman plays that down low, like when Naches has the puck and he moves up high, that defenseman, I hate when I see a defenseman when he, you know how he like, Jans, like you kind of say, like the dot is my reference. Like you'll extend to the dot, but not beyond. But I hate when I see a defenseman go to the dot and then a stick is going middle, goal line, middle, goal line. You have one responsibility, not two. So whatever your team system is, you should know and have that you're sticking that lane. Most of the time your stick should be on the, towards the goal line guy and making sure if that puck gets to him, you push him deeper into the corner. So he's not closer to your net to make a two on one at the net. And I hate when I see defenseman like, Oh, my stick's here, my stick's there. Why are you doing that? It should be a windshield wiper. Yeah, there's a windshield wiper tells me you don't know what your responsibility is. And that's like a team, the coaching a team system thing. And that's Minnesota right now. Yeah. And now it's tough to watch. I'm even rewatching the McKinnon goal. Like he kind of sliding through the middle and then it's a total miscommunication of the forward dropping down. So you're right, juice. It is kind of execution and figuring out, all right, like we have to simplify things at this point because we're running around. We can't stop a power play. We're losing all momentum. If we have any, when we get penalties, I've heard some people say Eric Sinek may play game three and then somebody's saying they already got surgery. So obviously playoff time. You have no idea what's going on, but without him, there, there is Gary Lawless, Gary Lawless. Hey juice, Gary came on our show Gary's awesome. He's the best. And he comes on. He's like, I don't even know if Carlson's going to be able to play in this series, talking about wild bill. And then he tweeted out a minute after he got off the show that he was playing game one. The guy's unbelievable. Did you hear the Carlson story in Anaheim? You know, I used to do the team party before the earth, the owners of the Samueli's house. The year before I came, I think was Carlson's or a couple of years before, and they make all the rookies go up to the front in front of the owners and all the players and the Gams and the coaches and just say like your name and introduce yourself. And he goes and he never talked, right? He was so quiet, so mute. And he goes up. I think he had a couple of pops in them before and he stands up at the front and he goes, it's like on the cliff of the ocean. It's beautiful house. And he goes, my name is William, but everyone calls me wild bill and I like the party. He's just started dying laughing. Like, he's a bit of a beauty error. So you played with him for a hot minute. No, I didn't play with him. This is, I came there like the year after and ugly and oh, and Silverberg and those guys were telling me about this guy. I'm like, what's this guy's deal? Like, oh, he's a closet beauty. The owner Samueli, he was rocking the jersey in Vegas. Yeah. No number, right? Was it no number? I think it was a blank. Maybe if you're a millionaire, you're like, I'm definitely not putting another man's name on the back of my net worth number on there. He's fucking bitches, but he's starting to skate now. They're all fed this motherfucker. Well, I mean, I'll have you. I'll have you fuckers wearing Mickey costumes next week. Bitch. The other awards that that were the finals were announced rookie of the year. I think no surprise to anyone. Seneca, Demidov and the winner, which might be, I mean, what will be the percentage of first place votes? Matthew Schaefer. That thing is going to be a landslide and Seneca's awesome. Demidov was great. Demidov's got to get going a little bit here against Buffalo, but no, no surprises there for you guys. If you don't vote for Schaefer number one, like you should have your, your vote revoked, right? I hate when guys have the really dumb vote where one guy gets one vote out of every all 30 guys. Like it one person gets the, the fifth, the fifth vote. Like, yeah, like Schaefer is the obvious pick, but any other year, if he's not in it, those two guys have definitely have a chance. Yeah, that's a race between those Schaefer Schaefer got brain shun to lift his no move clause where he didn't even want to leave because of an 18 year old kid because he's just lighting up the league and he's walking the line like he's Kail McCarreys, an 18 year old, like that kid deserves, the guy deserves a share of HRR just for himself. I thought that it was Patty Waugh who helped him remove that and then they axed him like four days later. Yeah, but yeah, I know. In that bullshit, you sent him over to do your career. Thanks for the help. Thanks for the help. Thanks for poaching another good player for us. The new wave is no move. Here's the door. The other news was, I should have said this when you brought up Van Jim Rutherford will step down as a president of hockey operations for Vancouver. I guess he'll stay on an advisory role. I mean, obviously, Canucks fans, the way things have gone, they're not, they're not thrilled right now, but this guy's career and what he did in Carolina and then what he did in Pittsburgh. I always think of him as he was early on making trades when he wanted to make a trade. He wouldn't wait till the deadline. He was always earlier and then he gave guys more time to be a part of the team. And I mean, I don't know if you know him at all, Juice. Yeah, I do. I've talked to Jim before. Three Stanley Cups. You look at the teams that he assembled and both those teams that you both those cities that you just mentioned, fast skilled, right? Like fans like to watch fast, fast skilled teams. So I'm glad that he's staying on in some sort of role because I think it's always great to have guys with winning resumes to bounce things off of them and just kind of oversee everything. Yeah, love that. I mean, I'm looking at the Carolina team that he was behind that won the Stanley Cup. They brought in Recky that year, right? Yeah. They brought in Doug Waite that year, I believe. Glenn Wesley or was he there? I think I think he was already there. Ray Whitney? No, he was there. I think he was there as well. Trying to think of who else they were responsible for drafting Stalin, Cam Ward. Yeah, I do have been. Yeah. Good call, Biz. Yep. Exactly. So we're the one MVP of the playoffs, right? 77 years old, man. What a run for that guy. Incredible. What else we got? All right. So the press conference that the Barry Colts had after winning the Eastern Conference final. This guy's getting ruined for this. So you know what? I respect the hell out of this guy. He came out and he's like just poor judgment by me. I think he realized pretty quickly. And for anyone who didn't see, why don't you play it quickly, G? Coach, words probably escape you after that one. Maybe you can try your best. No one cares, work harder. Okay, Sean, big moment for you. A goal tonight. Hostile environment. What can you say about the way your goaltender played in that one? No one cares, work harder. Questions? Can you just contrast what you must have been feeling six days ago, leaving the arena, losing 6-1, and what you're feeling now? Yeah, it's a good question. No one cares, work harder. Really good. No one cares, work harder. Okay, you could cut it. So can we get some context as like what happened? Did they win that game? Did they win the series? I think no one cares. No, so what happened was, and first of all, I can't believe this is such a big deal. There's so many sensitive media guys and girls. For how many daggers these media people throw, like that first of all, that's entertaining. If they did it every single day, I can understand you complaining, but the one time they do it, and listen to some of those questions, oh, how did you feel six games ago when you lost compared to tonight? Like, what do you think the answer is? Like they won in game seven, so they came back and they beat Bramford in game seven, and I heard that the coach wanted to bring the whole team in to the press conference because, you know, he was so proud of them and they kind of overcome the odds and they said no. So then he was kind of, I think, upset about that. So that was kind of their team slogan all year, is like no one cares, work harder. So they just kept reciting that. And I know Atkinson a bit, I was on the ice with him in the summer, like he's a good kid. He's a good kid and you guys would love him. Like he throws bombs, he scores goals and he beats guys up. Like who doesn't like that as a defenseman. So he kind of just folds suit with the coach. But I don't know, what do you guys think? Like I didn't think it was that big. I think I didn't know the fucking Barry Colts were even in playoffs, and now I know they're advancing and he ended up getting fined, or the organization got fined 15 grand for like stuff that was detrimental to the league where it's like buddy. I'll speak on the other side a little. Well, that's fine. But the whole hockey world's talking about it. And like you said, it was one press conference. And yeah, it was a little off the rails. But like, can't we all just laugh about it? Like, why do they got to get fine 15 grand? So it was their slogan all year. And then the guy came out and issued an apology saying, okay, we were wrong doing it. Like, he saw, he saw Mart, he saw Marshawn Lynch do it at the Super Bowl 20 years ago. And he's like, Oh, I can be a meme forever. This is fun, lighthearted. Sorry, dude, you're getting run through the ringer in the Canadian. Oh, oh, he shall should be paying him for free advertising. How is that not funny? Like, we would never talk about this because they brought the kid into it. Like you you bring the kid into it. No, I just kind of feel for like, and I think Merrick tweeted this might have been him like that. I feel like the OHL report, it's not like you're doing it to Steve Simmons, who by the way, his son reached out to me and was like, I love when you carved my dad. It's hilarious. You should have more. But I feel like some of them are like younger, trying to get in and they just won the Easter conference. Finally, you're just looking for a couple quotes for your article. I'm not saying it's the end of the world. I think I tweeted settled down Belichick when we're on to Cincinnati press conference. But I feel like put it this way for the guy to come out and be like, I probably shouldn't have done that. I feel like he knows the same. I don't think it's the end of the world. If you were flipping out about this, that's an overreaction. But the room the room that they were in was a legit closet. It was five feet by five. Wait, wait, if you ever went, have you ever interviewed or talked to an OHL kid? Like if you like other than this, like what quotes are you getting? Like he's going to be, oh, yeah, we got Pucks deep and we just like persevered like, right? Right? For the boys, the interviewers and the media people in there could have wrote an article about it. It would have been their most read article that he ever wrote or talked about or whatever podcast they're on. It was a, yeah, I don't, it's not a big deal, but it's now they're going to the final. Now they're going and now I'm locked in. I want to see this coach have success. I think they were, were they down three one in the series? I think they were down and I think the team they beat, which might have been Brantford was a brand for it was a wagon. We know this and we wouldn't have known this and probably never should. The only time we talk about the OHL is when their crowds are given B.O. to all the players in Oshawa. That was the last time we talked about the OHL or when the kid got suspended for, what do you say, shower before coming to the games they had to send out pussy gate, wasn't it? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So I've got a five game suspension for calling a pussy pussy gate. Remember that? Well, I had a kid when I coached a minor hockey 30, 30 days suspension for that. And I had to go, we had to do like a zoom call and we had to like make our argument. Well, what do you mean? He was calling him a pussy cat, like a timid pussy cat. And they're like, well, no. I'm like, well, yeah, like, how do you know? So it's a sensitive world sometimes. I think, I think, I think we care too much about words, like action should be more than words, like boarding a guy from behind and almost breaking his neck should be more than some of the words. But anyways, that's another conversation. Oh, I agree with you, buddy. It's fucking gone mad. Yeah. Well, juice, thank you so much. We got RA coming on here. We appreciate you hopping on. I know you're grinding now you and biz. It's just night after night. When you get back from the late game, are you like, are you sleeping in later? You're still up early? Wine, wine, wine bottle opener and it's the vino and lights his candle. No, I don't. I actually went the first round. Not a sip, not a sip of alcohol in the first round. And then I had a couple opportunities just to have a few after sometimes after shows can't go every time. But the hardest thing for me is to not order like the happy burger when I get back to my room. Like I love a smash burger with the vanilla milkshake and and waffle fries. Like I it's so hard for me. I'm talking to my wife walking back and she's like, you can order food again. I go, I'm going to try so hard not to. Sometimes I can't. Juice, do you and I enjoy the second round better because you're able to focus and zone in on on like fewer series. Do you find the first round is a little bit like too much like, like March Madness where you're scrambling brained a little bit trying to remember all these different plays and calls and blah, blah, blah. Yeah. But it is fun too though, biz. Cause you're like, oh, look, that's happening and that's happening and that. So it's chaotic and it's harder from for our, you know, for what we do, but it is super exciting at the same time. Right. Like some of these kids are playing their first ever playoff games. So it's like super passionate and fun to watch. And then yeah, right. The second round settles in and you're, you're working one game at a time, which for people in broadcasting, they know that when you're working two or three games simultaneously, it's so like you're, you got a headache because you're looking, you're looking at the TV to the next screen, like every 10, 15 seconds trying to keep an eye on both. Like covering one game at a time is so fun and easy. So much for more fun. Last thing I got for you, Habs, winning that game to one, like your studio in Toronto, you guys must have been fired up because we've been 10 and I'm drawn up at Ottawa getting bounced in the first round. Like that, that would have been catastrophic for you guys. Right. We need our studio biz. Our studio. No, I know, but I wasn't trying to clean it. We needed that. We needed that. Yeah. No, I don't do playoff. So I wasn't trying to claim it. No, you got, you got equity for sure. Yeah. No, we need, we needed a Canadian team to still be, to be involved and relevant. And like this was the first year that I've worked in broadcasting that the Leafs didn't make the playoff. So like what a difference just on having the Leafs in the first round in Toronto, walk into the studio, a bit of like Eric goes out of the balloon. But Montreal just seems like such a likable team and so easy to cheer for. So I'm hoping like all Canadians get behind Montreal. But the problem is Buffalo is so close. Like I grew up going to Saber's games at the odd, scalping tickets with my dad and my brother. I've never been to a Leafs game that I didn't play in. I've only went to Saber's games. So they're a team that everyone's getting behind too. So we kind of, we're lucky where we get one of those two teams moving on in third round. Yeah. I went to more Buffalo games growing up. They used to give away free tickets at the, my bank. They used to like, did you go like to the odd biz and like the scalping tickets in the odd? Like my dad, my dad's a big dude. He was, you know, but biker guy and we would go, my brother and I, and we go walk down the alley and like all these guys would open up their big trench coats and they just have like tickets and then like a gun right there. So you could see the gun, just like don't mess around kind of thing. Right. And then my dad and the guy would kind of negotiate free tickets. And then we'd walk into the odd and there'd be like nosebleeds obviously. And it was so steep. You need like a bungee cord to walk down to your feet. But what an experience. I feel like Montreal for other Canadians is the hardest team to root for if you're not a fan of that team. Why? Just because you don't like the French people. I would agree. I'm a Canadian guy. I just think that I think that their team and with Martin St. Louis at the helm, they're just likable. I think they're so, so likable. They don't have any rights. Canadians on a whole dislike the Montreal Canadians than the Leafs. Yeah. Oh, I feel like no, no, no. Leafs fan in your Canada. You hate them. Why do you think that for real? Jens? Yeah. Just, I mean, obviously outside looking in, I have no nothing to back this up. But yeah, I would think Boston. Yeah, maybe. I just think like they think they're their own country. You know what I mean? Like they're, I don't know. Oh, now you're getting political. Yeah. I mean, they've have asked for separation. I didn't know the vote was pretty close too. Didn't that vote come down to the wire on separation? Stop it. Stop it. Okay. Okay. Oh yeah. I forgot you guys are number one. Yeah. I don't know if Quebec would be able to survive on their own. I think it's just good that we're all one and we'll figure it out. We'll figure it out, right? Juice, we all love each other. We're all Canadians. We're going to get a pure pull of ear on this podcast next. All right, Juice, you're the best, buddy. Thank you. Yeah, boys. Good talking. See you, buddy. See you, Juice. See you guys. The odd man. I wish I got to see a game in that building. Yeah. Get back to the Boston Garden. Like I don't, don't have like a ton of memories, but I remember the Bruins winning a playoff game there and just madness leaving. Guys jumping on cars on Causeway Street. So a guy who definitely remembers that as well is R.A. Time for R.A.'s World. Bring them in. Bring the guy. Hello, everybody. Welcome to R.A.'s World here on the Spit and Chickle podcast. Great to hear Juice on the pod. One of my favorite guys. His old team, the 3Ls. Leo Lucas, Lacombe. Unbelievable what they're doing. Love that game last night. Lacombe, 22 minutes, a vice time, second on the team. Leo Carlson. This guy's going to be a perennial Selkie candidate like we saw at Copa Tauro, and Burj, run the last few years. So awesome game. And G. pointed out to me last night. Shout out to the Czechs in the way they've been producing goalies lately. Yeah. Free out of the current eight starters of a Czech goalie is Dostal, Dobis and Vodá. That's the equivalent biz of North Carolina producing three statin goalies in the NHL's final eight teams right now, population-wise, which, you know, when you put it in those terms, absolutely kind of banana. So it's impressive as hell. You have to think how much Domino Kashi has factored into that, growing up watching him. And, you know, with the stories, you got to, you know, guys want to grow up and be him. So, good stuff. 100%, dude. And there was also one more in the first round of playoffs that I'm drawing a blank on. There was another Czech starter for a team that was bounced. Yeah. I only did this round. I'm drawing a blank on it as well. But either way, good stuff. And, you know, we interviewed Leo at the Drafted Nation actually before he got drafted. And, man, I think we all, we all like started rooting for that guy that day. And, you know, he's, you know, he has a starter. I think he's, you know, I don't know if he has any more, but we weren't aware of that. And in the way he just didn't let it affect him and power through it. And I think I mentioned before, Brian Rust on the Penguins used to have one. And he started a foundation and Leo reached out to him, started his own foundation. So, you know, he is a great kid. It was just made him like you just root it from a lot more on what he's been doing now. And the interview, we saw a couple of weeks ago, he could tell he's getting his confidence and, you know, feeling comfortable in his skin, like, you know, chirping, well, VL there, his teammate, he's annoying. I'm in the locker with him. So good stuff, man. I like, I appreciate that stuff. Vamelco was the other one. And he had a great first round, I thought. Yeah. Absolutely. Yeah. What's up with Utah? And how about Montreal getting their own blade gang? I apparently they reached out to the Buffalo blade gang, peered up. But I guess though, one of them got assaulted. I don't know if he got slapped or punched or whatever, leaving the game last night and, you know, posted about it. It's like, you know, and this ain't a both Buffalo fans. It takes one donkey. But, you know, if you're any arena, if you see, you know, like people like fucking with fans out of town, like, you know, I'm not saying put your ass in the life or strange, but just say, hey, man, it's fucking chill out. It's a game like, don't be afraid to tell someone to knock the shit off. I know people get surprised by that. If I didn't get slapped, leaving that arena from the nicest people I've ever met, can't believe after a win, a Buffalo fan would go after the Montreal blade gang guy. That's very surprising to hear. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, you know, whatever you have fun, people, but, you know, don't be putting, don't be putting hands on people. Gee, I think we got to, we got to reach out to them, get them for the chick. Let's cup whatever the next one is wherever it is, man. So come we should jump on. Josh Stone, just an incredible pickup by the same as what the season he had, what he's been doing, the playoffs, like, they got him in Castle Ring for a particular there, an unreal move by Buffalo. Love watching that kid play. Let's see what else. Oh, Kevin Adams. Yeah. Yeah. There you go. Gee, hey, is he going to, is he going to win the GM of the year? I saw someone tweeted for the Buffalo banging right before the game. The crowd would probably go bananas if they brought Kevin Adams back to do that. If you got a better chance to see me do it, I think. No, I don't know if he'd want to do it. I don't know if they would do it, but you'd have to think. At least, at least a sword chug. Yeah, but you got to turn that down. Although there was a guy in the crowd last night, like a fresh, a short chug. He did. Yeah. They put him on and he crushed it. I saw a video online of a guy, he had it. He had it like a little straight, but like not like where mine was like upside down. He had it kind of just like waiting and slowly and then no spell. Oh, they're like, Carl, you haven't been to work in two weeks. He's like, yeah, I've been practicing my sword chug. Ever since I saw a wit. I want to get on the jumbotron. Well, the last thing was the actor William Fickner that did it. You know, he was the guy in the perfect storm. He was the scumbag in heat too that tried to let double cross Robert De Niro. I didn't recognize him with long gray hair, but yeah, it's pretty cool. Like nice little thing they do there. And to the, I honestly, guys, the person I text most with during the playoffs is Madu. It's like she, my mother, she loves, loved the game. So last night she's like saw the scrunch. She's like, guess Buffalo's still cooking. I'm like, I'm just like, like a fucking millennial. That's what Ryder says. Oh, you're cooking right now. Yeah, I was like, where the, where did you hear that shit, man? So yeah, she's a huge fan. Also to like Minnesota. I know they're missing Eric Seneck and now what's his name, Bro Dean, but I didn't think they were going to be getting spanked this bad. I don't, I don't know if the goal 10 to Matt as much Minnesota just looks like a completely different team than we saw in the regular season. But you know, Kudos to Matt Bouldy. I mean, he got fucking crucified by a dog in the corner there. He slowly gets up. He's heading to the out of the zone and Minnesota's, you know, they're making a rush down ice and he don't, you know, he made a dive to get the blue line. So they wouldn't be offside. After he just got, you know, when we're high like basically almost a murder in the corner there. I don't know. That's just like the hot, the grit, the effort that we love in the playoffs. And it was, you know, I know it didn't work out for him, but it was just an awesome effort. Love to do this. And he took a punch from Parker Kelly, I believe, too. He was giving it to the ref a little bit. I forgot to mention with juice that McCarran said against Dallas, like their D, we were just dumping it in and punishing their D. And I believe like Faber and maybe one of the Fulinos are like, it seemed by the end of the series, they didn't even really want to go back and get it. And now we have to figure out a way cause call, they're just so different. They skate better than Dallas's D, you know, besides Heskin and really like, and they're more mobile and they're getting up ice. We have to figure out a way to kind of slow their D down. You gotta get your licks in. I was going to ask you boys, do you think they overthought the goalie change? I mean, we were talking about it. It puts, you got to do it. Now you go back to Walsh that. Yeah. It's exactly what Merrill says. And if you're a Minnesota fan too, the series isn't over until you lose at home. Like you got to take care of business these next two games. You're going to, they're going to go back to Walsh that I would imagine. I thought they were going to go back to him during the game. Just cause the, the, the first goal, the backhand and one that was, that was weak. And then what was it? The third one, another weak one. Was it the nature school? Like, it was a two saves you got to have. So I definitely going back to Walsh that, but you're Minnesota. You got to just be excited to play at home, get ready. And I think Colorado too has done a really good job of holding up like the forwards, getting in the way of the, the Minnesota four checkers, just given that D man an extra half a second. Cause that means the world as a D man. I can't believe RA. I don't remember seeing a series with three days off. Exactly. Took the words out of my mouth and you got to think that benefits Minnesota, right? Yeah. But you know, like, especially when Eric Sinek might be back on the lineup at, yeah, I don't know if the builder was booked for a console or something, but that's, that's kind of crazy. I don't remember seeing a three days. I don't know boys. I think that the fresh get fresher. Like Colorado man. You think it would fall out even more? Yeah. Yeah. Good point. I just, I don't know. That's to me, it gives like, you have a little bit more respect for the kings now. I mean, some of those games were close. Yeah. Right. Yeah. I mean, three or four of them, the kings were not till the end basically. I think it gives me more, also more respect for Colorado in the fact that they, they can play any way you want. And they're like, this is how we have to play to beat them. They'll frustrate you. And I know it's not how we want to play, but we'll get the opportunity in later rounds to kind of do what they're doing now. Right. It feels like they're having more fun in this series than they did the last one. Because Minnesota tries to play like them, which that feeds into Colorado. I was just thinking now, if it like, if you're Carolina and you're hoping to get to the cup finals, I think it could be a better series than people may think now that I'm thinking about it. Cause of what LA like at least had tough games against them. And just jump back to Montreal, what you guys are saying a few minutes ago, I'll be honest, like, I've never had Pro-Wins fans come out to me and like almost like talking on the side of the mouth and like, hey, Magoo, like I think I'm rooting for the Canadians right now. Like, I, yeah, like, I mean, they're not, they're not being disloyal. They just like, cause the Canadians are like so fun to watch. And when you watch those games in Montreal, that crowd, I mean, I think 90% of the audience has a red jersey on. You can't help but like get goosebumps, you know, watching which goes on up there. So yeah, I've got more than one Bruins fan last couple weeks come up to me and say, yeah, they're kind of on the Montreal band. And also, you know, and also to like, with like a lot of the, you know, younger generations than us, they haven't really experienced rivalry that, you know, like, you like us, you know, us, our era did. So they, they don't have that same, I don't know, I guess, hatred or whatever. So all right, moving along. I don't think you guys mentioned the Selkie finalists. I don't think I heard, heard that. Anthony Sarelli, Brock Nelson, Nick Suzuki, they were the three finalists. Like, I mean, I think Suzuki's got to be the chalk on the, not one, the way he's been playing. And the Masters in trophy, that was also announced, the finalist, John of the Taves, Rasmus Dahlene and Gabriel Landerskog. And I mean, honestly, I like, I think one of those three guys, I think it's, you know, a pick on basically what I think Dahlene hands down. So the fact Dahlene has been through what he has been through, and then he's up for the Norse through that's crazy. And then the Landerskog one is wild because during our live stream, I forgot to bring it up. I don't think I was alone in thinking Landerskog wasn't going to be playing hockey again. Like you just kept hearing setback and all the time he missed. And it was like, man, I give this guy credit, but he's probably done. And he gets an enormous goal the other night game, game one, it's like, or it was a game two. It's incredible. That is three awesome stories and what Taves went through. And his, I think, you know, he went, he was in the ayahuasca train, right? Like trying to figure out everything and three awesome candidates there. Those two guys, Taves and Landy and Landy, like, and we all know once like it gets in your mind, like that might be it, I might be done. Like usually your body just kind of shuts down and like your love for the game. But the fact that they were able to battle through that and get to where they are and still playing is amazing and just shows their true love for the game and what they bring to it. And you're telling me right now, like, if you're Buffalo, like every guy on that team would do anything for Darlene, right? Just what he's been through. Same thing, Taves. Like it's cool because when guys show that type of love for the game, like it gets sent back to you a million times over. And also, like, I mean, don't tell us the Dana White, but like the mental health aspect of it. Imagine being like that young, maybe more so for Landy, where there's still a lot of tread left on the tire, like to be stripped of your livelihood at that age where you still have so much juice left in the tank and you have these unbelievable teams that you don't feel like you can be a part of. Like that would, that would be fucking brutal, dude. I couldn't imagine the the mental grind of having to go through the year, the few years that he had to go through. So same with Taves, right? Like get the thing for what Taves always like he, he was at the top, man, three Stanley cups. Like that was a, that's probably the biggest modern day dynasty that we've seen next to what the Islanders and, and the Oilers like when's the last time we saw a dynasty like three cups in five years? Yeah, we're going to see it with Florida. Of course. Edmonton, I was four and six, I believe back in the back of the eight. Okay. Yeah. Well, I think it was back to back to back year off and then back to back. Yeah. 84, 85, 87, 88, 90. Yeah, like five over those years. But I'm glad you mentioned the headman like, you know, he obviously took some time off to take care of himself and he released the statement. But man, and I know social media is like just the toxic fucking wasteland. But the reaction was just pathetic, like just like these fucking loser Hottos like, oh, he's got it's good all the money in the world. But it's like, bro, like that doesn't mean fucking shit. Yeah, money is great. It helps. It helps with stuff that you just put up there. And it's like, but that doesn't mean shit at the end of the day. And I don't know. It was just awful, awful takes. You just mentioned Dana White with that fucking shit head stuff. He said like, it's like, oh, unattractive to women. It's like, you know, it's more unattractive to women than a slapping on the fucking face. So like, I don't know, I just I just fucking hate that Hado attitude. And that fucking dirtbag bubble of love sponge out Tampa. Like, you know, there's rumors all the time about players like he's talking like some guy went on. Yeah, I'm not his buddy. Yeah, yeah, exactly. Like exactly this guy who let fucking 24 inch pike runs run Hulk a major on his old lady, like in the country. And like he says he and he literally says it's rumor on the streets. It's my opinion. Let's not even repeat. No, I'm not. I'm distinctly dot and then and then he repeats it. It's just like, it's just as a fucking scumbag. There was a rumor about rumor about head. The same shit that was going on with all mark where these fucking idiots like they just take it and run. Exactly. You know, when it comes to the mental health stuff, just like, let these guys be let them go and figure their thing out and not and not pile on. Yeah, yeah, just just out of donkey behavior. But going back to a little more positivity, you guys mentioned the call to candidates already. We got to talk with a shave for the night kicking off the draft. We already it was probably the cutest segment we've seen. Oh, yeah. He FaceTime. It's, you know, Sydney and Matt Martin's daughters and he had them explain how the draft went. But but the best was afterwards when he was hanging up there like by shave, like, like calling him shave. I don't mean that was just like some awesome stuff. So whoever came up with that, it was brilliant stuff. And continuing with that the draft lottery. This is another thing like meathead central, the whole ring lottery talk. Oh, man, I got like, no time for this. It's like, like, it's okay. What's the logic here? So the NHL what they're gonna like with risk their reputation like swear people a secrecy. Ernst and young is going to put their reputation in the way. I have to admit that I said that I was just on tilt a little bit. Yeah. No, that's right. Everyone's hitting around. Don't take it so seriously. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, everyone is not kidding. Not everybody. I was on tilt. There's a there's a probably a trolling aspect to a G but no, like there are people like convinced and then I love my boy chief. But I think he said like this one was rigged just like last year's was for the islanders and the one for Bedard was and it's like, like, like, like, like, well, this one though, like, if you want to, if, if, if you're these are rigged, like, truth or you really believe it, the envelopes one, okay, with the balls now, like the way they did it this year with the ping pong balls, I don't, how would you ever break that? I don't even get it. But of course, they had a commercial break before and people like, Oh, okay, what they had a secret video of Winnipeg's ball going up first. Yeah, that was that was tough to see. And then did you see Gary? What you see Gary when the number eight was going up? Yeah, people like, Oh, there was helium in that in that one. It's like, Oh man, but like, even again, even if it happened, like, like Toronto already makes all the money they can, they sell it every game. There's like, to what, okay, we're gonna fix this. So this team drafts a guy who may or may not turn out to be a superstar. It just guarantees nothing, man. I just I the conspiracy theory brain out there, it's crazy. And also, that's what a lottery is. It's called a lottery. They went from five to one, not crazy. Yeah, that's not that crazy. Really, John, not a lot of say one more than we're on the live stream. I yelled it. I was on tilt. I got a hand up. I was just past. It was a tough, tough 24 hours for busy boy here. So my fault, everybody, San Jose technically won the lottery more than Toronto, right? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, and it seems like I don't know if it's like actually, gee, do you think McKenna's the slam dunk that everybody's like, can convince he's been for the last year or is just a little more wide open than people think? I think it's more wide open than people think. I think Ivor Stenberg. I mean, Merle's is another guy Merle's has been talking about for years. Like he was just dominating the SHL this year, breaking all these like rookie records. So I don't know. Like I think Ivor Stenberg is based off style of play. I think Ivor Stenberg is the safer pick, but it's tough on a guy like McKenna because he's supposedly a generational talent. We saw what he did in Med Hat, kind of took a step back with Penn State, but I guess we'll see. But wasn't he second in the country in points per game in college hockey as a 17 year old? And if you go back to Badaard when he played in the, in WHL with the Regina Pats, I think McKenna, the year prior playing in the WHL had way more points per game too. So like what he did at the same age in, uh, in the WHL compared to what Badaard did is more impressive. And then he makes the jump and listen, the first half of the year for McKenna, yeah, there's going to be an adjustment period, just like there will be next year. But what he did in the second half is like, Oh, fuck man, this is how this kid accelerates when he's thrown adversity and new challenges. I don't know. It would be hard to, it would be very, very hard to say no to McKenna. And you didn't have his line mate, that Aiden Finke kid. Like if you're on a college team at your first year playing college and you're missing the second best player, it's hard to produce. You're playing against men in college, right? With like more so. And I think when he came back is when he started like lighten it up. Yeah. Well, the world junior when he started going crazy. It's not an easy thing, man. This is going to be fucking awesome. What's up with? What did you think of Steve Simmons question to Pelly and Chica? It was fucking obnoxious as hell, though. He could have asked that same question in a much more respectful way. Like, I guess his wife and kids with it, just, it was just obnoxious. Like you can say that same, ask that same question in a much classier way. Like, I get it. There are concerns and, you know, like we talked about it with Bezos, obviously. But yeah, it was just, it was obnoxious. And that's why people can't stand the guy. And he's the same guy who made up this fucking stupid hot dog story about Phil Kessel. So yeah, I didn't like it at all. I'm not a I don't know, Jake. I have no feelings one way or the other, but it just so it was just such a disrespectful thing to call a guy of what a fucking con man like that. Yeah. Fucking shitty stuff. What's up? And, and he's right there. Why don't you ask him? Like, I talked to Chica if you have a question and obviously word it differently. Like obviously I'm not a big chica guy. Even I thought I'm like, yeah, maybe it's funny for like a viral moment for everybody to like, oh my god, like chaos and drama and it gives us shit to talk about. And we're a hockey podcast. But yeah, that was a bit, that was a bit much. He also dropped math uses COVID shit. Like, yeah, yeah, he's donkey. And like, I think actually Pelley like kind of told Jake, like, I'll take these questions. That's why I don't think Jake answered that particular one. But yeah, either way, it was shitty stuff. But some more great news. The first round ratings set records. The best like first round ratings ever. Gary was on back a few the other day, he said of the Olympics, obviously. And he also cited, he did rivalry because of course he binged that back in the last year and said like he brought a lot, that brought a lot of fans in as well. I mentioned a couple episodes of the great play by play guys we have. But I want to mention specifically Shane Knighty on the color. Like he's been absolutely fantastic, man. He's so good at breaking down the game, like especially for new fans, like he puts it in layman's terms. So you know, if you're not familiar with the game, you understand it. And Vegas fans, when I tweeted about the night, Vegas fans love him. He's obviously out there during the regular season. So I want to give him a shout out and also, I mean, I think we said it before, but Eric Johnson, you talk about incredible. Oh, he's awesome. ESPN brought him just an absolute natural. He's now a Paul Wachoozen who's unbelievable. They're chemistry there from the jump. I mean, you know, E.J., he's funny as hell, charismatic as hell. And he's awesome when he does and he had a little get together with Scott Van Pelt the other night. They never met each other. It was actually pretty funny. I don't know if you saw that. Yeah. He's like, hey, we never met. And he's like, oh, E.J., can I call you that? He's like, oh, SVP, but no one calls me that. And then when they finished up, he's like, hey, thanks a lot SVP. It was kind of funny, but it was great little good stuff there, man. Yeah, Eric is killing it. So good stuff. They did a lot of good ads. Like Carberry was great. I think he's off to the world championships now. So he won't be at the desk anymore. But yeah, E.J. is the best handsome bastard, dude. Jesus. Yeah, holy shit. Yeah, he's hilarious. Yeah, he mentioned, yeah, he was about the weather changing. He's like, I'm a bit of a green thumb. I planted some plow was yesterday and then probably going to have frost on it tomorrow. He's just a character. But some, yeah, some shitty news at ESPN. If like hockey wrestling style was fans, a lot of hockey media folks, I'm not sure if you have met him, because I don't pronounce my hours, but it will have Arda O'Cal. Yeah, yeah, they let him go. Unfortunately. Yeah, tweeted about it yesterday. And like, I mean, I've never actually met him in person. We've been interacting for several years on online social media. But everybody who knows this guy me and he's just like a gem of a human being. And you know, wherever he ends up next, like that the company's going to have a great guy, he's just awesome at what he does. And, you know, I was bummed out that they let him go. So I just want to give him good vibes. And I'm sure he's going to land on his feet somewhere. So generally a great dude. Absolutely. And another TV note, Ted Turner, like you guys, TNT did a wonderful tribute that Liam did. You know, he's a businessman who became like I would the 20th century is like one of the most influential media titans of the last century died in 87. He had that awful Louis body dementia diagnosed eight years ago. You know, it's that's a type of dementia that affects your like body and your nervous system. But I mean, this guy he invented like the 24 hour news channel when he launched CNN 1980. He started WTBS and I know I know I'm older than you guys, but that was on every cable system in America. Like so that's why there were so many people became Atlanta Braves fans because you would get every single Braves game on TV. The Cartoon Network, Turner Classic movies and obviously, of course, TNT. Just an interesting guy won the America's Cup in 1977. Pretty much single handedly brought the American bison back from the brink of extinction. Like, you know, there was like yeah, he's he's one of he was one of if not the largest landowner in the United States. Yeah, and an offer an offer good reason like conservative shit like so people won't go like build build shit on Atlanta, you know, to keep the how do you do that with the bison? He owns half of Montana read them maybe I don't know. Yeah. Yeah. Got him. That serious. I think if you I think if you Google it, G, he literally owns like half of the land in Montana. Wow. So RA, this is a billionaire that you're down with 100%. You know, he's a billionaire. He's a great American. He's started CNN. Yeah, he cared for his country and yeah, he he he he wanted what's best for us and he did things toward those ideals. And you know, I know, I mean, I don't know when he billion is. I wish like guys to stay at age maybe did that a little bit more rather than he put his money where his mouth is he was big on philanthropy and yes, he was a he was a G in that regard as well. He owns 2 million acres across America and in just Montana alone 113,000 acres. Yeah. And did he ever own did he own the Braves? Yeah, he actually coached him for one game. It was really yeah, he he the coaching a fight and he hits hilarious as a pitcher. He got you know, like a baseball man, they they wear the uniform. He coached them one game but like whoever was commissioner at the time was like, Oh, you can't do this, which I don't know why you own the frigging team. But yeah, one game he coached the Braves back on the day. And also, there's a I highly recommend like, you know, if you don't know about him or if you want to learn what it's a fantastic docu series on HBO, call it's called call me Ted. It's phenomenal. It does a deep dive on his life career, the whole impact and you really just see like how much of like an America original this guy was so highly recommend that if you like what's like I said, want to learn more about the dude. Great piece in the athletic by Jeremy Rupp, fit about the great Tony X, the hilarious Twitter account, he stumbled onto a playoff game 10 years ago. I remember that this shit is lit. It went viral. He became a huge blues fan and like very quickly became one of the funniest people on hockey Twitter. Like, yeah, this is this is the first time I've ever watched hockey and this shit has been lit for these first 45 seconds. And he's like, white people been hiding hockey for most of years, bro, this shit lit. I don't know who this King guy is, but we got to stop him. And this is the funniest after the Hawks had pulled Corey Cropher for an extra attack. This dude just said fuck it left like, and boom, like he was off and running. And you know, he ends up meeting John Hamm and gets invited to all star games. And but what the crux of the story was, there was a Shax fan, Nikki Marowelli, her name is, they will follow in each other. They started to interact and started texting. And like few years later, she flew up to St. Louis, they hung out for a week, and then I meet up with the winner classic. And now they live together and like, you know, their engagement is pending. It was just an awesome story that that was in the athletic and he is a funny bastard, man. So I'll give a shout out to Tony X. Let's see the sound. No shit, they got their engage now. Well, they're not. It's pending. It's like, well, in pending because thanks for ruining the surprise. It was in the story. No, I read it because like breaking news. No, she designed she designed the ring and picked it out. So one of those like she knows she knows it's come or whatever. Make sure you get a prenup. No false date. No false date. Don't go. Don't go there. The AHL, they had an egregious non-call the other night, Springfield versus Providence, the cost Providence game one. I mean, the dude was offside by a foot, but the AHL, they don't have a review system set up by Darren Draga. The AHL come out, they owned up to it. They're going to have blue line cameras already in planning, but they're going to bring a review process to next year, which obviously that's a perfect reason because that's just awful for a team. Dave Jackson thought it was onside. Wait, they don't have review in the AHL? I thought they did in the playoffs. Yeah. Yeah. I guess they don't. Brutal. No excuse not to. Okay, a couple more here. Oh, last thing I ran over the tab and after the Habs Sabers game to grab a bite to eat and a bunch of dudes come in like, you know, eight to 10 of them. And like, I usually people like they might see my face or whatever, they hear me, hear me talking and the dudes like usually, hey, you already are in the dudes like, are you the admiral? I was like, kind of like that. I was like, it sounds like much more bossy. I was like, I am bunch of dudes from South Dakota. They were in town for what I'm getting married to a girl from Charleston. And it was the bachelor party for these few days that he's getting married this weekend to a Charleston girl. But he went to Salem State played hockey for a year, a couple of these guys. But what was interesting, you know, obviously North Dakota, like huge hockey hotbed, and you would think, okay, South Dakota, like just south of them, like, you know, it's probably a lot of hockey there. But these dudes said they were only like the, I think the ninth to 10, like kids from South Dakota to play college hockey at any level. Like, I was like, are you like, that's kind of crazy considering like, you know, again, right above them, North Dakota produces all these players. But I remember a USHL playing Sioux for Oh my god. Yeah, that guy's offside by a little looks like the crider one Sioux Falls stampede there in there in South Dakota, I believe, I believe. And that barn was incredible. I remember Vanick was on the team. And I was like, holy shit, this guy's unreal. I think he ended up playing the next year as well, then went to Minnesota. So I was a little bit surprised. Maybe you'll see more players now. They got Augustana now, two boys that Augustana, the new college hockey program is in South Dakota. Players the next few years from South Dakota. Remember Brock Lesnar told us he's from South Dakota and he was like, we didn't we never even had. I don't even think they had a rink, he said. Yeah, yeah, 3034 registered hockey players in the state of South Dakota for 2425. I think by 2030 that'll be at 10,000 and then we're then we're cooking with gas. What would like Massachusetts be with? I don't know. Probably a shitload more. The way up there. But yeah, Brooks Midsell, his name is he's the coach of the Badlands, Sabres, they're in the NA3HL, they get like an all third level or whatever. So anyways, just give him a shout out, congrats on getting married. And I hate to end on a down note, but I just want to acknowledge Massachusetts State Trooper, Kevin Trena, 30 years old, he was killed the other night. He just finished doing a detail and for people out of state, it's like a flag man and they call him in other states by Massachusetts, they you know, they hire policemen to you know, for public safety of whether they're doing utility work or stuff on the road. And he just finished a detail on his way home with two in the morning, and the call come over the radio that there was a runway driver on on route like route one north, but someone's coming down the Southland. This is a road I've done a zillion times and he you know, he he was done work. He you know, he wasn't necessarily obligated to go he could have went home, but he responded to the scene and the idiot driving the cars smashed him over and killed and both of them died. It's just an awful, awful tragedy and now you know, like as a mass, a mass fall like, you know, who's driven that road, it's like to think you know, this guy like, you know, showed up when he didn't have to and fuck him and sacrifices life for like whoever was on that road, man, it just it's just so sad. He just bought a house with his fiance and and gee, I know you have a go fund me, I think we should post a link shared on Twitter. So we you know, we send out our deepest condolences to his family, his friends and you know, his peers at the mass state police. Just a just a tough sad thing. And again, I take the end on a down note, but we you know, we want to acknowledge that I certainly go and yeah, it's a tough one boys, but yeah, let's talk about something. No, no, that's it. Thanks for bringing that up. I didn't even hear that. That's horrible. Yeah, I saw some probably guys I know who stayed troopers post the picture like on Instagram stories, I was I hadn't heard it and then read the articles horrible. Yeah, yeah. And he definitely saved people too. That's what like, you know, it's you know, again, he was on his way home and I mean, you know, like anyone who's anyone who's finishing a detail all they want to do is get home. The fact that he did that man just goes to show you with the type of guy he was. That is incredible because how many more people are to that guy have been here that's terrible. So was that was the guy just drunk and didn't realize he was on the wrong side of the road? The particulars haven't come out yet. It happened very early yesterday morning, basically, but those details haven't come out. But yeah, I mean, he definitely keeps saved. Who knows how many lives and like I said, the fact that after detail, he reported to the scene and you know, and lost his life for us folks here in Massachusetts. Yeah, it's terrible. And like I said, we couldn't extend our sympathies anymore. So I hope people doing okay. So but all right, boys, this weekend. What's going on? Anything? I feel like we got to like, I don't know, I get it. No, it's hard to transition on that. But you know, it is but you know, something we got to talk about. So we got we got Carolina and Philly game three tonight. How do you guys feel? I think Philly's got to really scum it up. I need Philly to win that game though. We don't want we don't want three. We need some serious here. Yeah, but I mean, Carolina has been like a scythe for wheat right now just dominated. But I think Philly I think Philly pulls the W out of their ass tonight. I think the crowd will be rock us and make it a two one and see what happens going forward. But that's the only game tonight, right? Yeah, so long. We got tonight eight o'clock. Oh, big early night for you, buddy. We need to tip it back like how did we know anything about that? No, no, I don't know what that's from. I mean, you saw him truck stick that do or who actually saw a design with Pittsburgh today. He looked fine on that. I don't know what happened later in the series, but they should just dress gritty for warm up and have him skate the line just kind of maybe change up the momentum a little bit. You know, I like that. I like that. Fires are plus 140. All right, if you want to believe in them. Yeah, well, no, I'm on the way going right now. So I haven't been a which actually not the worst thing I probably say in a couple of bucks. But like, I don't even I haven't even looked at the lines. But actually, what have you got that documentary on series on HBO about the you know, those free climbers, those crazy nuts who climb like rock walls. I forget the name of it, but free solo. No, free solo was the Alex Arnold won a couple years ago, but there was a four Potter with another dude. He was actually with rivals with him. And yeah, it's pretty good word checking out. But I like when you watch it, I can't believe what though like, they do that with like no ropes like to go up a 2000 foot mountain. Yeah, they're tapped. Yeah, absolutely. They're adrenaline junkies. Yeah, yeah, that's like their crack. I do know that a week from this Saturday, so nine days, boys, I will be on family feud. Congrats, buddy. Fucking right. I mean, let me tell you, boys, you know, Stu Fine, but congrats, buddy. Minahan, Jersey, Jerry, Rico and myself with me and Stu Fine are having the worst fast money matchup you've ever seen. I mean, I was asked the question was one of the questions was what would be somebody's interest on a dating app that you wouldn't that you'd know, like, I don't want to, you know, swipe right or whatever. I didn't hear it correctly. I said ugly. That's not an interest. Stu Fine went with Nazism. I mean, so when you talked about I think he had no point. I think I won that fast money with maybe 20 points. So I kind of, you know, I think Portnoy tweeted I skated by some ridicule based on Stu's answers, but I wasn't much better. I was decent in the first match, but in breaking news. So Portnoy, myself, Jersey, Jerry, Rico, Kirk Minahan were being joined by Stu. We were given another option, another opening. We can have six. Stu's coming. You know, you don't need us. No, you need him. I think Stu's going to be money. The brighter the lights, the better. I promise you he will not get a few reps to get to dinner after actually me, him and Frankie Borelli. And now Stu's in. I just saw Dave's tweet. So that's being filmed Saturday, the 16th in Atlanta. I can't wait for that. You must be fired up, man. Huh? Like, Oh, is that a video he's released? I didn't even like listen to it. The best shows of all. I just saw the title and I retweeted it. I just pictures Steve Harvey's face. If he had said Nazism in front of him, he probably, you know, you know, the car looks into the camera he gives. I can't wait to be on that show. Very excited for that. We got to get a win. I don't think I can say who we're playing. And then other news. Oh, so no laying up as a golf podcast. They have a podcast off of that, that they do not discuss golf with Tron and Big Randy, two of the guys that are part of the no laying up team. It's called Trap Draw. I've been a listener for a while. Tron the other night tweeted, wow, this playoff hockey is incredible. I'm into it now. And I think I, I don't know. I responded to him. I got the look. I am on the trap draw next week. We're recording. It's a basically a podcast about anything and everything. They monitor situations. They look around the world at all different stories to talk about. They want to learn about the NHL and the Stanley Cup playoffs. So I'll be making an appearance on that. Oh, wow. Assuming that'll be out next week as well. Very excited on that. Are they good golfers? Yeah, they're all, they're all good golfers. Yeah. They, they don't really get involved in like, they have their own YouTube golf stuff, but they never really, they don't really mix or do stuff with like, you know, the YouTube golf crowd that you saw on the internet invitation. Would they be a good sandbag or opponent? Like, do they crank the booze or are they kind of more a little straight narrow like golf? I think they're pretty purist in terms of golf and not being, you know, either on gummies or shrooms in your case or, you know, 14 pink Whitney Niff. I mean, Keith's case, but I'll bring it up. And that talking series, by the way, it's called the Doc Wizard and the dude's name is Dean Potter, just for anybody that was listening might want to watch the Doc Wizard on HBO. So all right, boys, again, the playoffs have been great. Love, love chiming in. It's been fun. So I think wrap it up here unless any final thoughts. No, no. All right. Let's, let's go get tonight. And thank you everyone for tuning in. We'll be back Monday. Shout out game notes once again for their 100th episode. Go check that out. It was yesterday. Love you all. Love you boys. It won't happen. It won't happen. It won't happen again. It won't happen. It won't happen. It won't happen again. I bet it's worth breaking, but it's taking time. I don't know. It don't let it. It's going to happen.
