Because sometimes the biggest stories don't start far away. They start right where we stand. Lean in friends. This is a good one. Imagine this on a beautiful piece of land a long time ago. A man named R.U. Darby heard a rumor that there might be gold buried deep inside the mountains. And right there, something sparked inside him. He thought, maybe this is my chance. Maybe I can change my whole family's life. So he went on the journey where he believed there was gold. He bought tools, packed his courage, and began to dig. One foot, two feet, three feet. Day after day, week after week. At first, he found a tiny bit of gold. Just enough to make him think that he was close. So he kept going. And going, and going, and going. But then over and over, absolutely nothing. No sparkle. No gold. Just hard, rock. Nothingness. He got tired. He got frustrated. He started thinking things like, maybe I'm not good enough. Maybe this isn't meant for me. Maybe I was just imagining this. You know what? Maybe I should quit. And eventually, that's exactly what he did. Frustrated and fed up. Darby sold all of his tools to a junk dealer. That's someone who buys all things. People don't want anymore. Like, things they give up on. Exactly right, Destiny. The junk dealer took one look at the tools. And one look at the abandoned mine. And instead of quitting, he did something different. He went to search for an expert. A mining engineer. Someone who understood the land. And the junk dealer asked the expert a lot of question. The engineer studied the rock. And said words that would change everything. After they got to work, he said, oh my goodness. He quit three feet too early. They found gold and lots of it. If Darby would have kept going, he would have hit the biggest gold vein in the state. But he missed it. The junk dealer and his expert found it. The junk dealer took one foot, two feet, three feet. And guess what? Boom! Gold! Millions of dollars worth. Lots and lots of gold! All because he didn't quit. Wow, that's a powerful stormy! If fur was destiny, never give up. So friends, what did we learn today? May I go first? Yes, Destiny, ladies first. We learned that most people quit right before the miracle. Right before the success. Right before the gold. So here are today's big takeaways, leaders.
