Now, Obafemi, you're a big Obafemi fan. Yeah. Mentally going into that, you know, whose side are you taking here? Wow, you're an instigator. Hey, I keep things rolling. You just tried to put words in CJ's mouth, and now you're trying to make me choose between two people that I respect and like a lot. Wow. This is TMZ's Inside the Ring. welcome to tmz's inside the ring i'm branson quirk and i'm cj perry the world's strongest man has come back to tmz it's been a while actually the last episode he came on was our thanksgiving special that we did when he came on here and we talked about uh you know recipes food we talked about food for a good amount of time i love people really enjoy that episode i'll tell you that i got a lot of feedback nice nice i'm excited to have mark here because i've known him for a little over a decade now, but this will be my first time to talk to you on air. So this is exciting. I know. It's been a long time. And last time I saw you, you were injured and you were saying, I'm going to be okay. And you are. Yes. I think I was in the hospital with my MRSA little finger. So yes, I love Mark so much. There's no one that tells better stories than Mark Henry. So this is exciting. Yeah. I lived an interesting life. Yeah. It's true. It's very true. Mark, do you still love twerking videos? I like to say that I made them up, but that's not the case. You were going to ask what his favorite twerking video was. Yes, yes, yes, yes. I just feel like it was always one of my favorite things to do backstage. In between matches, Mark would pull up twerking videos and this popped me every single time as we're watching matches. between the, of course, between the matches, we're fully focused on the matches back and viewing, but that was one of my favorite highlights. And also, you always have such funny jokes, Mark, always entertaining the boys. Yeah, I heard that you were, you were dibbling, dabbling with a little comedy out there. I am. I just did my very first comedy show. Great. Right after my birthday, I did my first open mic on my birthday and I had so much fun. And I mean, you know, Mark, you do comedy. It's there's nothing like. Well, I mean, I heard that you're going to be in Vegas on Wednesday. You know, maybe you should come and put a little time in. Oh, my gosh. On April 15th, you have a comedy show in Las Vegas. Yes, I do. And looking forward to it is going to be a lot of fun. It's at the space. And a lot of people that I've talked to have told me that the space is kind of the place in Vegas that where you want like a bigger venue. And the acoustics are cool. It's on 3406 Caravetta Court. Of course, Las Vegas, Nevada. But the space, man, like I'm actually going to be there two days. the on wednesday i'm there uh for the comedy show and then on thursday uh i will be right there again uh djing so the after party is going to be in full effect wow me and branson are coming to both oh for sure come on for sure yes so so thursday new york new york is where the dj set is right that is i think that is uh saturday um the new york new york that's with another promotion that's with uh paragon and mojo riley okay okay but my events are um tuesday uh with the police department the las vegas police department i'm doing my mark henry strong kids uh workout uh we're going to have 125 kids uh doing my workout with the with a bunch of uh las vegas police officers wow and to uh wednesday will be the comedy show uh thursday will be the dj set i also have my uh host dj uh smackola from the dirty worms uh is going to be invading uh las vegas so we'll Have a good time. Nice. And then, of course, the busted open party on Friday. Can't miss that, 6 o'clock. Oh, is that going to be at the Wynn? It's going to be at Intrigue, yeah, at the Wynn. Nice, nice. I got invited to that. Oh, you did? Yeah. Well, come on. I'm excited. There's so much going on. I feel like this is Markamania almost. No, it really is. You know what? I should change the name of all my stuff to Markamania. jeez what on the nose i love it so i want to talk about you the the competition with with the kids and the police department and everything what does that look like 125 kids doing your workout walk us through that what are you going to teach them so we're going to break them up into groups of 25 and you know they'll get a good talking to all positive stuff because strength is not just physical is is is emotional and and is mental and you have to be able to endure and problem solve and i want kids to be to think about that stuff before you make a decision i rushed to decisions when i was young because a lot of times i was environments where i didn't have direction and I lashed out and I got in trouble and I don't want that for everybody else. So I try to give you words of wisdom and how to deal with those things and on a motivational level. And then we do my workout, which we stretch and warm up. And then we do the Mark Henry 300 workout. It's 100 upper body reps. It's 100 core reps and it's 100 lower body workout exercises. And you want to do it fast. You know, that's the point. We won't do it super fast. We'll probably get it done in under 45 minutes. Excuse me. But the the kids will then start competition phase, which life is competition and, you know, not just sports, but school and just your place in the world with your education. You want to be the valedictorian, you want to be the salutatorian, but everybody's not going to get those spots. so when you lose how do you deal with losing wow so we talk about that and um but we do a we do shuttles and once again we put them in groups and they compete tug of war uh one-on-one tug of wars i love it we use beach towels and if you get pulled out of the hula hoop you lose and that that is winning and losing is important because some people you know they're so used to getting coddled and everybody gets a trophy that you you tend to have problems with with facing failure and figuring out how to get better so you can win next time. And that's one of the lessons. So it's a lot going on. But I love the fact that the Las Vegas Police Department, they want to do stuff in the city and to help kids see positive role models, do something that's geared towards helping them. Wow. I am so inspired by listening to this because I also feel like it's so important for people to learn how to cope with losing because most of our life, we're not going to win and become champion. Like even team, like how many great players are out there and they never win a championship. And I see that a lot in professional wrestling. People just want to win, win, win, or they get upset. And it's like, yeah, but if two people are fighting out there, there's a 50% chance that you're going to lose. Wouldn't you rather lose and be in the game than sitting back and catering. And I love that you're talking about this because I want to go and be inspired because it's like sometimes if we don't get what we want, how can we still find happiness and joy and purpose in life? So, wow. But if you do the Mark Henry workout, he may put you to a higher standard, which means that you may have to do it faster than the kids. I don't know. I think all these kids are going to crush me. Come on now. Come on now. Don't do that. You both were in the ring. I mean, there's a higher standard. We're going to do 100 reps. So say you do 25 push-ups, and then you do 25 dips, and then you do 25 overhead presses, and then you do 25 lateral raises. you know then you're done with your upper body portion wow you know unless you want to split it up into fives and do just 20 and do five different items it's up to you you can mix it up and then you go to you do the same thing with core and the same thing with legs you just find the exercises we have it structured for uh strong kids to do certain exercises and all which you could do in your living room, you don't need weights. Um, we tell people, they say, well, how, how can I do a lateral raise and I'm not in the gym? I was like, grab a chair. Wow. Pick up a chair and bring it up to your face from the floor. And that's a lateral raise. Like, so we, we, we give a lot of, uh, little gems and jewels and hope that it comes away from it better. Wow. That's amazing. Is it, um, a certain age limit or a certain age? Well, we want to we want to cut it off with like high school. OK. You know, because the the kids, once they get to high school age, you either go to college or you go to the military or you join the workforce or, you know, whatever other means. And people get distracted and they start doing their own thing. But when you do a structured, fun, camp-like environment, I want to keep it from eight years old to about 17. I love that. I'm going to send my future kids to you. The future are going to come to you. I'm going to work them out. They're going to be strong. WrestleMania 43. Speaking of strong, wait until you see my daughter. Wow. I was going to ask, is the family coming along to WrestleMania this year? Oh, I wish everybody's going to be doing their own thing. Of course, Jacob is up in Norman, Oklahoma, playing football for the Oklahoma Sooners. Wow. And he'll be getting ready for spring football. He's actually in football now. And Joanna is in school, of course, and is one of the state's best wrestlers. Wow. She won state last year. She's 145 pounds. She was with me last night at Raw. Got to hang out and work out with Brock Lesnar. Wow. That's awesome. She's at 145 pounds. She benched 190 pounds. Wow. She squatted and deadlifted 300 pounds. Like she's a mutant. Wow. It's because she works hard. People say, oh, she got your genes. Yeah she got my genes but she if my genes without effort and work and sacrifice is I have a lot of family members that are not going to win state in wrestling Have you seen by any chance Brock Lesnar's daughter shot put? Yes. Awesome. And the boys. Incredible. Look, hockey is going to be a different game when Brock's boys get high school age. Oh, for sure. So true. If they're going to change hockey, hockey, football, rugby, it's going to be different. It's very true. Well, speaking of Brock Lesnar, I mean, you guys worked out together last night. I saw you at Raw. That was amazing. Now, Obafemi, you're a big Obafemi fan. I know that. You talked about that several times on the show. Now, mentally going into that, whose side are you taking here? Wow, you're an instigator. Hey, I keep things rolling. You just tried to put words in CJ's mouth, and now you're trying to make me choose between two people that I respect and like a lot. That, wow. You're just a peach. Yeah, CJ here, you guys are the very nice bad cop, good cop. I like the future, but I live in the now. I appreciate what the future holds. Yes. But I live in the now, bro. And right now, Brock Lesnar is a monster. And when I say a monster, I mean one of the freakiest athletes of all time as far as speed and flexibility and explosiveness and his ability to focus. people think that it's just all physical Brock's mentality in sports is destroy and sometimes young people have to learn it I call it old man strength Brock has got that old man strength old man can be as strong as a bull but if it's not focused strength you're going to lose so I would have to I'm not a gambler going to vegas i've never gambled more than a dollar at a time um but i would bet on brock okay wow you're so wise mark like i don't even know how i always wanted to kind of articulate it that way because i'm like brought you have the youth but then you have brock's experience so thank you for putting that so beautifully why thank you i do my best hey and sorry to instigate the whole thing you know i uh no you're not when people say oh i'm sorry i i they don't mean it you you know i've asked good questions before you know remember the costco hot dog you have asked the costco hot dog uh you know before that we talked about that was a good one so you know what you you're still in the good graces still in the good graces i will i will just add on to like what mark was saying too i one time was able to work with um brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman in San Jose at a live event with Rusev. And I always thought like Paul Heyman was the brains behind the situation. But Brock gave me so much critique. Like he actually gave me my promo. Then I went out to the arena. And when I came back, he gave me so much feedback about me rushing a little bit, that I was stepping on my own pop, that I was rushing, like I was talking too quickly when they were booing. And I, in that moment in time, realized this man is not just an incredible professional wrestler. He isn't just jacked. This man is mine. This is why he is where he is. It's because his brain and his mind is so in it. Y'all are going to have to pay your Wi-Fi bill. Oh, no. Okay. We lost connection there. We got your question. We got my question on this end. It came through. It just got interrupted. it's all good over here but go ahead yeah we can keep moving i was just saying brock lesnar is very very smart as well as strong and that's why he is where he is and for so long the end the end well you were out you were at raw last night and a lot happened last night cm punk dropping what they call the pipe bomb 2.0 i guess you would say now you were right there So I just want to know your thoughts about all of that, because it's the most talked about thing on social media right now as we speak. It's very steamy. It's very steamy. You know that there's not many guys in pro wrestling that you can hand the microphone, turn the camera on and say go for 15 minutes or longer. Yeah. Punk can. You can hand him the mic and he will eviscerate you. Yeah. And you better have all your ducks in a row. You better have a lot of argument and you better be complimentary because if you cease to be complimentary, he will too. And he's always got a hot one. You know what a hot one is? Like the wings thing? The hot one? No, not that hot one. I do love hot ones. I do love that. Yeah, it's a good thing. But Hot Ones, there's a bullet that's in the black market called the Black Talon. And it's called the Hot One because it's armor piercing and it'll go through anything. Punk always keeps one of those. He knows something about you that when he says it, you're going to be rattled. That. So true. you'll start fumbling over your words and wonder how does he know about that like the dude is well informed very very smart so smart i love watching punk's promos i it took me back to 2011 so i can't imagine being were you in front and center when all this was happening yesterday like were you right there i was i was i i hadn't gone out yet i was behind the curtain watching and the crowd was the best part. Every time Punk says something, the crowd, oh, and it got to the point to where Punk would say stuff and they would be like, all right, Punk, stop it. That's enough. You went too far. And I was just like, bro, he is killing it this is this is as good as the first one yeah yeah i thoroughly enjoyed it yeah i don't know i i'm just uh i'm a little taken back by it a little bit because uh you know some things that he said and towards the end you know i i'm a little worried for him oh my god you're so dramatic i'm a little worried for him as a fan i'm the fan you guys you guys have been a part of it so you you know i'm looking in as a fan i'm one of those people out there Well, you do realize that the way you get somebody off of their game is to make them emotional. Wow. Emotions will ruin focus. Yeah. And, you know, sometimes you got to choose. I've seen a lot of relationships stop existing because of focus and emotions. And in sports, it's the most prevalent because sometimes you have people on the same team that want to get the same pay, but they don't do the same work. sometimes you see somebody that's uh more the brains of the operation and they can't physically do but they can coach well they can they can get you in the right frame of mind and then you have people that just you can do everything right everything right and you'll still be wrong because of their greatness. Wow. And in sports and in pro wrestling, that is very, very prevalent. And Punk has mastered it. He sacrificed himself over issues in wrestling. Yeah. He disappeared for 10 years. Yeah. Just, I don't want to do it no more. If it's going to be that way, then I'm not in. we are in an interesting time so interesting right now where the heels are being cheered more than the than the the opposed so you've got roman being cheered you got randy being cheered i've never seen that before well that's for wrestlemania i've never seen that before because they're making people feel wrestling is not just about uh big guys and and athletic movements and uh tight clothes and pretty faces. Pro wrestling is about psychology and how you make somebody feel. What feeling do you enlist? When I came out, I wanted to scare you more than I wanted to beat you. Then if you showed any kind of fear, I was going to drag you then. That's that's what the crowd is they feel those guys yeah and that that emotion is is raw and real and you can say it's entertainment you can say whatever you want to but it ceased to be when the moment is is in yeah wow that's so true yeah i i do hate to ask you know to give your picks because you you you know i don't want to instigate but yeah just because i messed with you earlier about it yeah yeah i'm kind of afraid to ask you a few things i had on my paper here now yeah so see he's dragging me through the fear that i have right yeah exactly you better tough it up real quick yeah well i mean i i think it's roman's time and i also think it's randy's time 100%. Do you agree with me? I do. I think that with Roman, listen, if you talk about my deceased mother, there's not enough room on earth for us both no more. You got to move to the moon or one of the other heavenly bodies, but you can't live on this one. And Roman is going to have to get that handled, or he gonna look bad it's more to save face you gotta go out there and sacrifice yourself you know I mean if I can't win I don't wanna live through the pain and I love me some meat and I ain't going nowhere so you gotta leave as far as punk I mean Randy Randy is in the same boat Cody asked for it have you ever seen somebody walk up and they egging you on you're like look man stop man don't do it man leave me alone stop man how many times you gonna say stop leave me alone before you crack them and that's what Randy did Randy didn't want to be listen I have to evaluate these shows every week Yeah. And I do a show on Busted Open called After Dark and on After Dark is instant reaction after the show. Wow. And then you have to break it down and talk to the crowd and talk to the fan base. We have about 700000 listeners a week. Wow And in those fans the fans call in We have a full bank of calls You can only hold 10 calls at a time So it full And then there another 10 and another 10 And you just every time one disappears another one pops up and everybody was under the same pretense about Randy. He, bro, you asked him, he had all his problems solved. He wanted to be more respectful and a family oriented and he wanted to be a good brother is what we say in wrestling. Just be a good brother, man. I know money plays a role. The love and affection from the crowd plays a role. Whatever, but just be a good brother. Randy was doing that and Cody told him to stop being a good brother. I don't want you to be a good brother. This version of you, I'm going to destroy you. I need the Viper. I need to unhinge Randy. That's antagonizing. That's not what a good guy does. That's not what a good brother does. But Cody did that. And if you want to save a few quid, British Gas have a way. You get half price Leckie and it's called Peak Save. On every Sunday, It's the smart thing to do if you're regular folk or furry and blue. 11 till 4, let the good times begin. You could charge up the car or take the dryer for a spin. Half price electricity, what joy that brings. With British Gas Peak Save, we're taking care of things. T's and C's apply, eligible tariffs and smart meter required. You saw what happened afterwards. Yeah. When you take somebody to the point to where they're out of control. and Randy is going to stomp a mud hole in him. And he brought it on himself. Yeah. And I love and respect Cody. But he asked for it. Yeah. Wow. Wow, wow, wow. By the way, I love your show. I was just listening to Busted Open yesterday and today's episode as I was driving here. I know those were not after dark, but the morning one. I was just listening to the take on Pat and the take on CM Punk. And I love you after dark. And it's just it's such a good show. So if you guys are listening, make sure you check out Busted Open. That's what they say when they say, yeah, I love Mark Henry after dark. Sexual chocolate after dark. He's he's AJ phenomenal. I've heard that a few times. Yeah, that's a huge shift here. But I really want to know your opinion on this. You've probably talked about it a few times, but Dan Housen. I'm really loving Dan Housen right now. I'm obsessed with him. Oh, my gosh. I didn't know if you agree. Listen, I'm going to post this photo that I took with Dan Housen last night. So Dan Housen, I don't know if you ever saw him work on the Indies. They hired him at AEW. Right. He got injured and then they just kind of never used him. They just let him fall through the cracks. But I used to watch him on the Indies. And when I say the most entertaining thing on the Indies, he was the most entertaining wrestler on the Indies. Wow. Before Matt Cardona showed up. And it was because there if you're not familiar, there's a subculture of wrestling that's very theatrical, kind of like the silent films back in the day. Charlie Chaplin type of things. There was a guy named Les Kellett that wrestled in the 60s and 70s in England. and it was, I mean, Les Kelly would come to the ring and he'd be acting like he was drunk. I mean, he would look visibly impaired. Let's just say that. And he would, they would ring the bell and he would go to box, act like he's going to fight the wrestler and lock up with the referee. And Dan Housen uses those old school, He's an old school throwback entertaining wrestler. Now, don't expect him to dive off the top rope and press slam. He is theatrical. He is very smart. He's going to have a T-shirt in his hand and you're going to throw a punch at him. He's going to drop the T-shirt. Oh, my God. Bend over to pick the T-shirt up. You're going to throw a punch over his head and he's going to have the T-shirt and he's going to, you're going to run at him. He's going to curse you and you're going to trip and fall and hurt yourself. And he's going to pin you. So what do you, what do you think WWE is doing? Like building him up right now? He's, he's on all the time. Are they setting him up to wrestle soon? Is, is this going to be something that's going to happen when it's right? Right. Yeah. And, and you don't do it before it's right. He's over. He's good. Listen, the dude got the number one t-shirt and pro wrestling. That's incredible. Yeah. That's incredible. The number one shirt. So he's over Roman Reigns and CM Punk? He is selling more t-shirts than Roman Reigns, Cody Rose, Randy Orton. Wow. All of them. Wow. Yeah. That's nuts. That's wild. And just think, you know, you get a t-shirt, you know, between $28 and $31. And you sell them worldwide, all over earth. and maybe let's say a minimum number small number 300 000 shirts do the math wow yeah millions of dollars yeah no it makes sense totally and so i personally love different characters like i obviously know that we have to resolve our conflict in the ring and professional wrestling but it's fun to have not everyone like a randy orden or cm punk or an oba but have these different characters that kind of make it a little bit more of a variety show and different reasons to solve, resolve conflict in the ring. So it's really cool you talking about that, especially being the strong man and being such a great in-ring competitor. Well, I love when people pat me on the back like that. I will work for a pat on the back. CJ loves to pat on the back, definitely. Well, no, it's respect. I mean, how many decades have you been in here, the business? Three. Wow. Yeah. That's older than you. I know. I know. I started watching. I'm not kidding. I started watching WWE when CM Punk did the first pipe. Wow. Yeah. Crisscross applesauce in there on the stage. Wow. You know, but like. Crisscross applesauce. Is that what people say? That's what they say. That's it. Wait, Mark, since you're here, we have to talk about Joe Hendry because you're the biggest Joe Hendry fan of all time. We love Joe. Or at least you were. I'm still. You still love. I love Joe Hendry. I want Joe Hendry to realize that the window can close. I want to see some urgency. Yeah. Okay. Okay. Because what happened over the weekend? If I was to have a conversation with him, I would be like, hey, you're doing real good right now. But you're in danger of the young people coming and passing you. Yeah. Or how are you going to deal with being passed? Why would they take? And see what he says. Why would they take away the NXT title from him? I mean, he was doing great. They gave it to Tony D'Angelo. I get it. I love Tony D'Angelo. He's an anchor in NXT. He's been there for five years. He's done the work. But Joe Hendry, what do you do with him now? Is this a main roster potential send-up we're seeing soon? You ever watch Rocky? Yeah. Love Rocky. The number one thing about Rocky is not that Rocky won. It's that he lost. Yes. Period. And it's how he responded after losing. That's where Joe Hendry is now. God, I feel so inspired. Now you hear the music montage. Hearts on fire. And he's in the gym. Wow. And he's sweating blood. And then you see him washed up with his new gear on. And he's ready to fight now. Now he got a different look in his face when he look in the mirror. Like, you know, he's doing that right now. He is going to get. That's what they should get. I love that. Wow. You know, he's doing that right now. That exact montage, which I imagine your husband, Rusev, he's in Bulgaria. Yeah. Rusev actually right now is in Bulgaria running the mountains of Bulgaria and the snow. Holy cow. Yeah. He's training. You know what that means? That he might win. It means he's got big heavy boots on and big jacket because it's cold as shit there. Yeah, it really is. It really is. It's so cold in Bulgaria that people don't even have refrigerators or freezers. They just sit everything outside. It's so true. Never spoils. It's so true. It's so true. He's literally running the mountains in the snow, training, Rocky style. It's insane. He's drinking raw eggs, like 10 of them right now. It's crazy. Jeez. I know. And Rey Mysterio just got added to the match. I know. And very excited for that. I mean, I really, I mean, I have to say Rusev because, you know, we're always putting Rusev over here. Right. It's hard. Hashtag Rusev mania. A lot of great people in this match. Everyone is so great. I mean, I'm so excited to see Javon Evans. He's so bouncy, Penta, Rey, Dragon Lee. But I personally think that the Rusev is going to be Bulgarian, Bulgarian swatting them down. Did you see the match last night with a lot of the participants? Yeah, it's crazy. The crowd, it was the best. Yeah, it was the best. The crowd lost it. Whenever Dragon Lee comes out, it's usually my favorite part of the night. I'll be honest. Well, I've become a really big fan of Javon Evans. He's just so good and innovative. See, you said Dragon Lee. CJ said Javon Evans. And Penta, when Penta walks out to the ring and he's doing his thing, man, I feel it. I just love that energy. You forgot to put the tongue out. you already have like multiple guys and now you put Ray Mysterio and Rusev involved in that. Like how good is that going to be? It's going to be so good. It's going to be so good, man. I'm excited. Do you think that that ladder match might steal the show? Yeah, it always does. Yeah. Like, uh, except for when I was in it. Cause everybody knew that, uh, I have phobias and that one of them is heights and that I was never going to go more than two rungs up. Stop it. Stop it. I take one step. I take two steps and then I start looking around like, hey, one of you sonbitches come over and knock me down, okay? But then they don't. They let you keep going up. Oh my God, what a rib. Oh my gosh, that's insane. I would be remissed, by the way, if I didn't bring this up. Chris Jericho just came back to AEW. and I was shocked, like truly, genuinely shocked, which I get it, emotion. We need emotion in wrestling. I feel like you're probably going to say that. But I felt like this was his WWE run soon. Were you hoping for that as well? I was hoping for it, but I learned very early you don't get everything you want, and you got to pivot and deal with it. I get a life lesson every time I ask a question. Oh, my God. Marcus shooting truth. Chris Jericho is one of the top 10 greatest wrestlers ever. He evolved more than any wrestler He stayed relevant in every decade that he competed in and always been at the top And his mind for wrestling and what he does to enhance other people is unrivaled. Unrivaled. You would have to you would have to touch Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart, Steve Austin, Undertaker type The Rock to reach Chris Jericho level of bringing other people along for the ride. He's he's he's incredible. He really is incredible. He was one of I don't know if you remember, Mark. Remember, there was a time that he only did house shows in WWE. He wouldn't do TV. This is like 2000, maybe 14 or 15. And he was only he would only come back to do house shows. And so the only time I could watch him, yeah, was at the live events. And I think around 2016, he came back onto television full time. But I just remember being blown away at how he would work the crowds. And then he was so good in the ring. And then he turned heel. and that was like the greatest one-on-one class the watch of how to take because he just knew how to take someone completely to be over and then completely turn it he came out with the scarf and everyone's like that scarf is so annoying and like all the nuances he would do to get heat you know that's where he came up with the list and then that got over yes it's just like so So you thought MJF was the first person to come out to the ring with a scarf? I didn't. I knew it was Chris Jericho. If you asked me right now before hearing that, I probably would have said MJF. Oh, my God. Yeah. Oh, my God. Because he's better than everybody. Damn kids. He studied Chris Jericho. Yeah. Yeah. If you told him that, he might get pretty pissed off. Well, you know, young and naive. You know what they say where I'm from. it's better to be pissed off than pissed on uh by the way period you said house shows and and i've been i've been hearing a few opinions on that recently do you think we need to go back to that back to more again get people a little more you know right now the ring rush absolutely everybody needs the knock the rust off one yep and you need to experiment and you get to experiment in front of a live audience. And things happened by accident. My finish, the World's Strongest Slam happened by accident. I was trying to pull brother up to press slam him and he got out in front of me. I took two steps and did bang, just threw him back down to the ground. The crowd popped so astronomically crazy that it ended up, I had to do it every night. Wow. Wow. Wow. And that's what house shows do. They allow you to be able to learn from your mistakes and use them as a positive. Yeah. No, you're so right. I completely agree. I have one last question. Damn, I'm good! I have chills. You really are. I feel like I've learned so many life lessons and it's insane. what would you what do you believe it takes to become a wwe superstar what are the qualities and the assets i guess you need to have i think the first one is humility like you have to humble yourself to learn from others because nobody came into wrestling and got over because they were just so damn brilliant it was they were taught yeah they had to learn the second thing you have to have is an undying, like just relentless thirst for knowledge of wrestling. So you have 150 options of everything that you can do in the ring. And then you have to have respect for the industry, enough respect that you don't allow yourself to feel like you're bigger than the business. And lastly, you have to have what the French call a je ne sais quoi. You have to have the ability to make people really hate you or really love you. And some of that is natural energy. It's the way you present yourself. It's the way you dress. It's the way you view yourself, your sense of confidence. It's all of that stuff rolled into one. You have that, man. And you can't be shy. I've never seen a shy wrestler that was unbelievably over. Wow. You know what I really want to see Mark Henry do in Vegas? And it's too late, obviously. I want to see you do what Jake Hager is doing on Friday next week, power slap. I want to see Mark Henry dish out a slap to somebody. You don't want to see that. That would be so dangerous. I do because I know what it would look like. You don't want to see that. He would annihilate everyone. As long as I get to go first, you don't want to see that. Right, right. Have you ever seen a watermelon fall and hit the ground? Yeah. That's what it would look like. I think I've seen you squash a watermelon before with your hands. No, no, that was an apple. An apple. Wrong fruit. Wow. Okay. I've seen you squish fruit. Yeah. Never let the truth get in the way of a good story. Yes, I say that all the time. You could have disagreed. I'm not a fan of the power slap. I was just asking for a concussion. Yeah. She's asking for it. It's very dangerous. We live enough of an aggressive existence to not put yourselves in harm's way. Like, if somebody tells me, hey, man, that's hot, don't touch it. I'm not touching it. Yeah. Smart. I don't have to smell my own flesh sizzle for me to get the message. I'm not doing it. And Jake signed a six appearance deal, which that's what most of these deals are looking like. It's multi deals. It's not just three rounds for one appearance anymore. It's going to be here to go first. They flip a coin or something. Seriously. Who do you got on Jake Hager against anybody? This is Jack Swagger we're talking about. What do you think? He's athletic and strong as shit. Just country strong. Yeah. Because he was an amateur wrestler, right? He started off as a wrestler. Yeah, University of Oklahoma, All-American. He was MMA as well. If you let somebody hit you, then do you really get the true measure of the man? I'm not letting nobody do me wrong. I'm just not going to do it. You have to sneak up on me. Yeah. Well, there's plenty of other things to go to that week other than Power Slap, including what CJ calls it, Markamania. Yes. Markamania. Markamania. It's my wild brother. By the way, Netflix making a new documentary about Hulk Hogan coming out. Mark was in our TMZ documentary for Hulk Hogan. Wow. First big documentary out of that. Wow, wow, wow. It was awesome, man. Harvey was excellent. Yeah. Yeah. I thought Harvey came across very interesting, like way more interesting than he did just doing his TMZ show. I just learned a lot about him from the standpoint of. He can see the fugazi. He can see the phony and he looks for the and maybe that's because I'm a lawyer. but it's because he can see when things are not on the up and up. And he didn't say it outright, but you knew how he felt by the way he asked the questions. Yeah. I was trying to get him in here to talk to Mark, but he's got a really busy shoot day today. But I am going to give him your best. Oh, man, I'm taking my tie off. Well, Mark, thank you so much. CJ, any burning questions for Mark? I was just going to, before we leave real quick, I was just going to, you probably know this, Mark, but do you know that there's this YouTube, well, no, it's a match that you and Rusev had in 2015, and Summer was his valet at the time, and me and her were feuding, and I was ringside, and that match, we did physicality at the end, and Rusev's flag dropped. You know that YouTube video has 30 over 37 million views. Wow. What? Yes. Yes. I, every time I go and it gets more, it's still grows and I blow, it blows my mind. I'm gonna have to send it to you. It's insane. So I did see the finale of me and Rusev's saga where he beat me. And I went out with the USA, had the big flag behind me. And, you know, like they played the national anthem and I was very emotional. Yes, yes, yes. And I saw that video had like 10 million views. Wow. Wow, that's incredible. This is a whole other video. This was like eight months later. I just like randomly was going through YouTube and I was like 37 million. Yeah, it's insane. I'll send it to you. It's pretty cool. We're over. Can I say, you know, what an honor it is. I think they just wanted to see CJ and Summer. As a fan at that age, yes, that's true. Summer was so funny. I sent it to Summer and Summer was like, it must be because we're barefoot. you can't put it past some of these and you know summer how funny she is she she she is in the top 10 silliest people i ever met she's so funny her and santino they should have a podcast together just bouncing ideas off each other and i would watch it every day it's so true i want to see santino and danhausen that's what everybody wants to see right now man yeah right don't tease me with a good time i could watch the entire three-hour show santino dan has that would be so good and and he would be like hey i have this guy from high school that used to bully me can you curse him i can see it i can see santino doing that i wonder what he would call dan housing because he never gets the name right he never gets anybody's name right mr dan haukton or like that yeah i love it it's hilarious well mark thank you so much for coming on by the way what an honor it is to have you on you know personally as a fan as well i gotta say you know growing up i don't think i told you this but growing up you know me and my friends when i was 12 we used to do your entrance walking in the classroom every morning at school yeah who hey who what's up somebody's like man dude once when i had you on the first time i hit up my friend cole and he couldn't even believe it because we used to do yeah you you went to the principal's office a lot didn't oh yeah we got we would get demerits i'm not kidding i got a a referral for doing the world's strongest slam on a desk in the class oh my gosh yeah oh my gosh i love it it's a christian school i set great examples you did you did you know build the future we did we did try it at home that was the thing i said don't try it at home but we did oh god oh god so thank you for coming on And this is so exciting.
