The Pat McAfee Show covered major sports moments including the Knicks' historic 22-point fourth-quarter comeback against the Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference Finals, NFL off-season developments with Rashid Rice's jail sentence and Drake Maye's progress, and Western Conference playoff matchups in both NBA and NHL with injury concerns for key players.
Insights
- Defensive game-planning can be exploited in high-pressure playoff moments; the Knicks systematically attacked James Harden's defensive weaknesses when it mattered most
- Voluntary offseason workouts are increasingly scrutinized by fans despite being optional, reflecting changing expectations around player availability and commitment
- International sports expansion requires careful market selection; Australia's existing sports culture and NFL familiarity make it more viable than markets unfamiliar with American football
- Substance violations during probation can derail athletic careers regardless of talent level; timing of consequences can compound injury recovery challenges
- Coaching continuity and culture-building matter more than individual talent in playoff success; the Knicks' experience from last year's Pacers loss informed their mental resilience

Hello beautiful people and welcome to our humble abode, the ThunderDome, on this Western Conference finals Wednesday, May 20th, 2026. This sports program begins now. Sports are the absolute greatest. Another overtime thriller in the garden. Was it rest? Was it rust? Was it a little bit of both? Or were the New York Knicks doing something so electrifying in the mecca that made us all say, okay, good on you Timothy Chalamet who had an interview at halftime and he was asked what the Knicks needed to do to clean it up as the Cavs seemingly were going to be walking out of New York up 1-0 in the Eastern Conference finals. Timothy Chalamet said we're a little rusty, we're gonna have to clean it. We'll get it. We'll get it though, no problem. They certainly did in the fourth quarter. They did some historic statistical shit. They were down 22 in the fourth quarter. They come back and win. There's some stats going on about a amount of points run and how they're doing what, 40 to 11. I think it was 33 to 8, 22 to 4 runs late down the stretch and it's like Jalen Brunson did what Jalen Brunson has done to basically everybody just down the stretch in a big way that saw all of New York City celebrate a massive epic comeback. Now I'm being told James Harden is a problem. Well, there's a lot of stat. My eyes were kind of telling me that too. They were in 21 picking roles I guess to get James Harden onto the ball and then they seemingly cooked James Harden. Even when James Harden was maybe shifted that one he just got obviously makes it. I mean everything was falling for the Knicks and they were seemingly all falling in James Harden's face. Once again I am a James Harden fan but then I opened my phone up and my elbow just said hey look at this stat. James Harden's ass. Look at this stat. James Harden is ass. They're directly designing plays to go after James Harden. The coach of the Knicks afterwards would say me and Steve Carr, you know, the guy just signed the extensions, won a bunch of titles in the middle of the dynasty, one of the best coaches of all time. When we were at Golden State we actually were like hey let's just count the amount of dribbles that James Harden had. He had thousand dribbles tonight. That is what we're looking for. He was attacking him on the offensive side saying this guy is what we're looking at and then on the defensive side your eyes are like wow James Harden the beard's getting kind of just not even seemingly working and then the head coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers comes out after the game and says this. No listen he's been one of our best defenders and he's played a playoffs. I trust him. You know smart, great hands. Didn't think about that. So what the hell do we know? That guy's a basketball coach. He has a team in the Eastern Conference finals. Let's assume he knows more basketball than I do but everybody's telling me that James Harden's fault down the stretch is really getting cooked and the New York Knicks were taking advantage of it and every shot was falling and the comeback kids over there for the New York Knicks do it again. They're up 1-0 in the Eastern Conference. Everything's alive and James Harden's getting cooked on the internet yet again and then coach Brown's coming out talking about his offense game. It's like are the Cavs gonna answer? Donovan Mitchell? There's some stats coming out about him. I don't like him. I guess Donovan, he has the most... I'm not even... No you gotta say it. You don't like the stats that is. Is it important? I don't like the stats. I don't like that I'm the messenger of this. You know now that I'm an NHL insider I'm gonna have to realize that sometimes the messenger takes a little bit of heat. Sure. We were handed a stat about Donovan Mitchell. I don't like this. Remember first time nine years Cleveland Cavaliers, Donovan Mitchell there okay in the Eastern Conference finals. It's a huge deal. We are big fans of Sparta. He has an array of ways to get to the bucket as Emon Shumpert said. He is certainly spectacular but I guess in a playoffs he is being associated with this step but he is a team thing. I guess he has like the most 20-point playoff collapses like over the last 30 seats. Whoa! You know that one in the fourth quarter. They're saying the odds were like 0.1%. The odds on sportsbook got all the way up to I think plus 8,000. Our guy in the back Bruce Brown, Diehard Nix fan got it at plus 6,000 in real time. You don't get those types of odds on live bets unless the team has absolutely no chance. Bruce you saw a winner there what did you see? The bucket was getting bigger, the boys were buzzing, the rust was off. What did you see down the stretch from your Nix team that makes you go hold the phone. The boys are back in time. I believe it was 93-76. Brunson had just hit a three and had that look in his eyes just that stone cold killer look and I saw Donovan Mitchell kind of smirking and I think that he talked post game about maybe it was a little complacency maybe it was a little bit of the tired legs but it just felt like one of those magic nights might be on the way at the garden and you know I mean Jaylin just he basically played the perfect game for the final eight minutes of the fourth quarter and then into OT he truly is a god send to New York sports and I mean it's just unbelievable man I can't believe that we are here with the Nix up a game in the Eastern Conference finals with this fucking guy just with the entire city on his back it's unbelievable. And it seems to be the right guy for it you know there's a couple moments where he's walking by himself I'm like I wonder who he's looking at because everybody in the arena is looking at him as he's walking around everywhere and he's seemingly still above it not lost in it but respects it all and he's the king of this he's the king of the city yeah okay I know Aaron Judge obviously all rise but the Mets exist okay Jaylin Brunson the king of the city you know yeah that is especially right now for sure nobody if he was to win oh absolutely that I think that's the big thing though they might put a statue of his ass on top of Madison Square Garden yeah and try they might put him right on top of that thing and it feels like he's the perfect guy for it and remember he is not 5'4 no okay I learned that at up front I got a chance to see because whenever he's amongst his peers he doesn't look anywhere near as tall and then he meeting me like oh yeah these guys are all carnival sized I forgot that the people he's standing next to are actually seven foot one or whatever he's six three six four I mean he's big guy big guy fit unbelievably tough he makes every clutch shot doesn't seem to blink okay doesn't seem seems like the perfect guy for New York congrats to you guys over there in New York getting a huge win into us as sports fans getting an opportunity to watch that along ESPN analytics now I'm on a night football they'll tell you to go for it mm-hmm yeah they'll also tell you point one percent chance of winning whenever you're down that much never it is the stats are outrageous 600 and some plus times this situation has happened in the past no team has ever won and now it's kind of start spreading the new the calves left yesterday are they gonna get swept by I think I think there were up 22 and 4 that was it that was it it felt like they had him right because Jaylen Brunson been doing Disney up front I mean I mean he's been you know Emileo's diner sure he's stopping by car bones easy's club he's king he's king of the time they don't change your defensive plan then yeah you're probably right back it's not change it once again that man is a NBA basketball coach we don't have to ask you rich more about how the hell this happened that guy has forgot more about basketball than I have ever have and I understand those people on the internet that know a lot of hoops and have dedicated their entire lives to hoops his guy is an NBA coach so at some point he had a reason for whatever he was doing but it looked like there was a pretty obvious thing happening then whenever he was asked about it afterwards like nah you guys don't know one of our best guys what how does that happen I feel like that's not the case or maybe he's just trying to gas up his guy yeah maybe he's trying to coach him up because he knows that James Harden's about to hear from everybody about the colossal collapse that just took place Donovan Mitchell has to feel that he grew up in the area I guess I guess he is a look him walking back a massive square garden afterwards just all by himself in a tiny little hallway you know spite is doing all this shit in front of massive square garden place going crazy he's from there in the walkout afterwards is a little POV camera up in the corner like a security camera that TV people now have which is good I think you get it it's just him in a tiny back hallway head down just walking understanding what's gonna be said about him what just happened the opportunity they just missed and how this potentially changes everything going forward for their entire season it is a wild thing this sports is and we can't wait for game to legit speaking of huge nights talks table at bus corner at Tysha we want to have the hammer down Cowboys AP Ton is here con man Western conference finals tonight both an NBA and NHL game two for the alien versus the back-to-back MVP game one for maybe the greatest hockey team of all time Colorado taking on a Vegas Golden Knight squad that is kind of you know been buzzing since Torz became a head coach yesterday had some breaking news pretty shocking as well as an NHL insider I had some breaking news yesterday about the penalty for coach Torz after a game six Anaheim win where they decided to do no media and just get to a plane and leave he was fine personally a hundred thousand dollars and they were stripped of a second round draft pick there was an appeal that was heard in New York in front of the commissioner of the NHL Gary Betman and the penalties were upheld basically after a same exact penalties will be assessed hundred thousand dollars second round pick cannot be a precedent that we want to set with the media but Torz potentially said I don't care about any of it I would like the boys in this change room to understand that I am on your side there's a chance that he walked into that change room after that game and said we're not talking to any of these motherfuckers they've been against us since the beginning they doubted you they doubt me they doubt all of us why are we going to think about missing an air time for these people let's get out of here and the boys in the change room really we can do that we're allowed to do it yeah here we fucking go boy exactly there's a chance that this Las Vegas Golden Knights bunker mentality that is certainly only to get stronger and stronger as more people keep talking about how much they hate them there's a chance that they're the right group with the star power with kind of the aura the moxie and the reason to take on this avalanche team that people are saying greatest of all time new breaking news this is from the Fridge Elliott Friedman up there in Canada Jared Bednar has announced a kill McCarr whoa that's big news whoa won't play game one officially listed as day-to-day now remember hockey doesn't tell us anything about any injuries okay hockey just doesn't do that they they have a funny way of describing things like this guy has an upper body what does that mean your body he'll play baby and then it comes out after they lose what was his upper body oh his spine was fractured like four spots they actually had to lift him up and shoe him onto the ice for him to do that so from a car to miss anything especially at this stage of the playoffs this has to be a very very serious injury that changes a lot of things obviously in that particular game tie are you excited about what the Golden Knights could potentially pull off tonight yeah and I like the point you're making about you know everything that's kind of happening with the Golden Knights I mean I don't watch every single game throughout the season we've talked about it they they dropped the puck very late so it's hard but I'll check box scores but going from paternity where I'm I was up no matter what so I was watching all these games like I'm completely back completely invested and they are fun to watch but then I walked in this morning and I looked at you know the the scroll going across and it's like wow the avalanche of 153 games there's a reason everyone's saying this might be the best team ever but then you add all this stuff for everyone's kind of shitting on the Golden Knights shitting on torts if there is an opportunity to add a chip on the shoulder inside there like I absolutely love that and like you mentioned Kayle McCar is obviously unbelievable this is this type of injury you would assume is going to be something that lingers throughout this entire series because at least he's not going to miss a game of this magnitude if it's I mean we've even we've heard guys you know having really high temperatures being super sick they go out there in place so like something is is really going on here and now if you're the Golden Knights you have to capitalize on the road tonight yeah we just literally saw T2 T2 whatever come out of a guy from Anaheim that was playing what do you have oh you had like two bulges in his neck you've broken that this guy who the guy that was playing yeah score a couple goals as well one of their stars that like happens in hockey so for him to miss a game I think this is a gigantic deal it used to be what it was like for like offense alignment to go down on a field like offense alignment never go down on a field okay that is just like never think not a lot you break something we don't you get up and you get your ass that's what the old kind of mantra used to be it certainly evolved with science in us learning what these injuries could potentially be and how much more you could affect that obviously hockey is never adjusted hockey's a big like if hey if you can stand on your skates you get out there Paul better move you skate get your gloves on lot oh you're better he better and you know he's got a fractured skull okay okay okay you're not gonna play okay he was on the ice this morning testing it so okay so skating he was yeah I don't know if he's skating you said was on the ice I don't know if he's on the ice and crutches or on the ice and skates probably skates but then the decision was made after that's not okay so we shall see how it plays out could the Golden Knights steal one here against the Colorado Avalanche up there in Colorado gonna be electrifying who's gonna be hitting the Avalanche that's good question Hornell that's the I don't know if Hornell is gonna be able to make it Hornell will be joining us though here in a little bit just about what he expects from the Avalanche as they host the Golden Knights here in the Western Conference final game one and then game two of the Western Conference NBA finals game one obviously lived up to the hype immensely I mean just absolutely got extra free basketball when big goes absolutely crazy SGA and the lads have to battle in front of their home court crowd which is one of the greatest in all of sport everything that could happen that was awesome did happen including a pull-up from when be from the logo when it was his first time shooting a three all night basically as he was living in the paint it was a spectacular game one just came to have no is that she a answer he got double teamed in a big way let Caruso kind of be wide-ass open Caruso goes for 30 he started hitting everything again on Christmas day against the Spurs Caruso didn't hit his main shots so I think Caruso and the team understood that he was probably gonna be left wide open here from the San Antonio Spurs and he goes crazy and he just starts hitting well that happened again well more guys have to hit or when be just decide that this one's just like a hockey goalie this one's gonna be won by us this is how this is gonna go he doesn't get as much fouling trouble as I would have expected for when be and I think it's because they don't want to call it while he's getting attacked but he does a lot of bumping as well there is a lot of physicality with the way when be plays I appreciate the officials hopefully kind of letting them play but if there's a couple early whistles I think on when be this entire game really changes and if that was to happen people are gonna get real loud because watching this alien do his thing especially taking on a team in the middle of the dynasty and not just the alien the players around it young confident hard work feels like they do all the miserable stuff they're an incredibly taken on a dinosaur it is a special matchup that we could have here tonight as long as everything goes smooth comment you know who the ref is and what are your expectations for tonight as we look to gamble as we all hit on the San Antonio Spurs in game one yeah hopefully we kind of carry that in I believe Tony Brothers will be the ref for game what does that mean what is that do we know the stats for that I know there's some players that are like Chris Paul would never won with Tony Brothers right there they fought each other Scott Foster here's a little foster but yes like there are those types of stats it does feel as though Tony Brothers who I believe you had a good back and forth with yeah a lot of moxie yeah a lot of moxie it feels as though he has a good feel for the game hopefully we don't get into some sort of Wemby or even like Holmgren or somebody on their team SGA getting two three fouls in the first quarter because that would rob us of what this has been so far one game into it he is the entire series this does feel like the finals and last night was great only for about four minutes you know once the Knicks made that first half of their run they went on the 18 and one run you mentioned to kind of get it within eight and then it became a better game but that was only the last quarter it does seem as though this one is going to be a seven game series that hopefully every single one's a banger the chat Holmgren conversation about him and Wemby battle and fascinate especially if we talk about fouls and how this could go I hope they let him play Wemby good at this though yeah I looked because you got me interested when you said it's like is he going to get in foul trouble whatever looked up he's found out zero times this year I don't know because like nobody ever goes into his body because they're so afraid of getting blocked so he's like he's never getting body fouls and then he's so good at I mean so far up there that he's never like he's never getting anyone's wrist or anything like that because it's just him and the ball up there and there's a chance though that like they don't really call anything against him either yeah so they don't really know how to wrestle yeah there's a chance that they have no because on those squats and blocks that people try hands get hit Nate yep you know and like bodies touching they call it and he's up on every one of them I mean they're three-point shot layup mid-range he's up on every he's damn yeah absolutely everything so I assume it has been a thing but let's just act like it's discontinues him and Chet maybe if Chet's there yeah need that tonight yeah Chet Chet knows Chet Chet has been better no listening he understands yeah you would hope homegrown does kind of show up especially after everyone's like hey what the hell is the 6-4 guy guarding the 7-5 guy that doesn't make any sense I think the biggest worry just kind of outside looking in would be all the guys for the Spurs played the most minutes they've ever played by a lot and for some reason the NBA which we can appreciate but isn't giving them those couple days in between instead of they're doing every other night which is awesome but also you would think maybe we give these guys another extra nice rest but they're all under 25 we saw the stats of the youngest starting five from the entire NBA history 22 years and 346 days as the average so hopefully those young legs kind of step it up but it's hard to imagine okay see just laying down you would assume that they have something planned but who knows Jeff Alscrooce those guard one be tonight it's gonna be hard not to bet when we to have 35 points again yeah well if Chet's guard one be it's gonna be hard not to what we understand with Wemby and did you see the video that I saw floating around here now about Chet getting a little full of playing a little yeah that's ridiculous he's playing a little footsie with him there is a little game that's how often does that happen because I remember Grayson what was his name Alan yeah I'm now and this was his kind of time everybody's a good guy he's a tripper yeah Draymond Green this would equate I think the two bows I think Wemby is allowed to swinging elbows whether they hit Chet or not that's kind of up to Wemby in his accuracy but that is the most scumbag thing I think we've seen in the playoffs so far I mean just to slow him down just a tiny little bit you can absolutely do that they allegedly there is a like a magnet like there's a positive side and a negative side really good it's sticking but whenever they see the same that's what happens with Chet and Wemby walking into each other I think it's what Hancock they're supposed to hate each other oh yeah yeah they get powers dwindle as they come close together and look at us we get to watch this for the next 50 gone massive lads go on we appreciate you I know it's probably uncomfortable to have to do this but like hey good luck out there let's pivot away from the NBA let's go to an uncomfortable conversation there's a wide receiver that is about to be serving 30 days in jail for an incident that happened on a highway over a year ago ladies and gentlemen joining us now to give us more information on what's happening with the Chiefs and Rishi Rice senior NFL insider DSP and Adam Schafter yeah yeah you look cool right there but that's a pacer shirt I like that yeah okay shout out the pace yeah hey all right shout out the Pacers I don't know how I wear that but I appreciate that just to remind the Knicks right is that what you're doing here well it was a year ago where the Pacers came back at that big comeback late in the fourth quarter of game one of the Eastern Conference Files at Madison Square Garden and a year later the New York Knicks have a big comeback in the first game of the Eastern Conference Files at Madison Square Garden the Knicks weren't gonna rebound from that last year and I don't think that the Cavaliers will bounce back from that this year okay so I appreciate you giving NBA takes but I'd also like to speak for the Pacers organization to the you're welcome to the Knicks fans yeah yeah congratulations we kind of gave this to you guys this is what we did last year the experience does show late late in these games those battles against the Pacers to do help out and it keeps you know top of mind that no matter what the score is you have a chance to come back and win that game down 20 plus in the fourth you could probably give up and some teams might mail it in instead the heart of New York City New York ready city kind of came out there and got a huge job let's move to the NFL I alluded to it there there's a 30-day prison sentence that is happening for Rishi Rice there was a deferred probation for a certain amount of years which we looked it up where basically the deferred probation is a five-year period where as long as you are good in your probation the charge will kind of just be wiped from your record I think there won't be any more punishment kind of move forward but if in that five-year deferred probation period you fail anything in your probation you are then to serve your sentence that was to be given so in this one you can correct me if I'm wrong shifter but I've had some friends that have had DUI situations with this where they've had certain probation periods where they couldn't do anything if they did then the entire sentence would be can you explain how we got to this did the chiefs know that he was going to be doing 30 days in jail did we know this how long did he know that it was going to be happening because you reported that he got surgery just a week before or within the last couple weeks a cleanup of a knee which you would certainly not want to be in jail for 30 days while fresh out of a surgery it seems like can you kind of clarify all this for us shifter as we look at a situation that I don't think we've seen in a long time right this is certainly okay sorry go ahead there are a few different sides to this and we'll present some of what we were told yesterday but basically as it was explained to me yesterday obviously he did not know that he was going to be going to jail for 30 days here if he did there's no way that he would have had the knee surgery that he did last week so that he'll be in jail in a Dallas County County jail which he now is he's currently in a jail cell in Dallas County jail coming off the knee surgery he had last week that'll sideline him two months now that's two months normally with the attention and care rehab that you're going to get I don't know how this works where you undergo knee surgery and then you're in jail now there was some sort of violation of his probation that had to have occurred recently or at least the judge found out about it and ruled on it and ordered him to serve his 30-day sentence in jail now so he is been sentenced to jail for 30 days here as part of the situation connected to the car crash that he was involved in where people were injured we remember that incident a couple of all seasons ago it was supposed to be a five-year probationary period the judge involved who I understand is retiring here he's an outgoing judge and some how Rashi Rice was ordered to serve the 30-day sentence now for a violation to his probation which we assume was some sort of positive test for marijuana okay so we're not a hundred percent sure what the violation was but it has been alluded to that it was a failed substance abuse test for your probation which prohibits that also your profession but obviously I mean he would be was there any alcohol or involved in that arrest or drugs involved in the rest so he's in the NFL's program I wonder if he's in the NFL's program oh I think he is I think what I think what's gonna happen here unconfirmed is now he'll be reentered into the the NFL's drug program but again you remember in the last CBA you there there are no suspensions disciplined for marijuana so but you can be entered into the program and subject to other tests oh yeah and the program is the worst as somebody that did 27 months in the program okay it is very very restrictive I will say but once again lucky to do it lucky to have a job in the NFL understand that it was me that put myself in the situation probably saved my life 27 months a little bit of overkill sure okay we didn't do two years three months I thought that was a little bit too long but you're getting tested eight times a month I had to call the NFL a certain line in report where I was every time I left my home address I had to give them two phone numbers they could reach me at I had a PO for sure it was the NFL and I was getting tested at 4 a.m. in Georgia after I won bigfoot hunting out in the woods I was getting tested at 6 30 a.m. in Vegas I was getting tested in pit I was 200 some tests 27 months damn who clean because if you don't guess what you're in that thing yeah forever and that's what they're trying to do once you get in there they're trying to keep in there forever that's kind of game that's how I had to frame it so I was gonna beat these people because they wanted to keep me in there now that led me down some dangerous roads I think you know that was one like the spice conversations are happening because it won't show up as I can't be doing this is what my life is no way big foot dangerous big foot hunting yeah crocodile hunting ghost hunting I did all these things to try to figure out what life was without you know smoking or boozing while every one of my friends was doing just that so it was certainly a time in my life and we hope there was she writes okay figures it out okay he might be watching this right now we've been told from numerous people that have been in jail that they do run ESPN in jail so there's a chance that where she writes is watching this right now from a jail cell missing out on rehab on his knee he might potentially alter his entire career and net worth because this stupid shit okay we're she let's go but hey that's what everybody needs to say go ahead hi and I talked about this this morning right here's a guy when we see wide receiver salaries exploding across the league and he's just about as good as any receiver in the league and he's entering the last year of his contract if we just took away all the off-the-field incidents all the michigas that comes along with it then you'd be talking about a player right now who would be getting an extension this off season at somewhere between 35 and 40 million dollars I guess and so now instead of getting that extension which isn't going to be coming anytime soon he's going to be now in a jail cell rehabbing an injury going into the last year of his contract without a new deal on the horizon and it's it's really unfortunate it's all there for him yeah it's a sad story it's a sad situation it's like hey obviously you've put this upon yourself and everything but hopefully able to figure it out move forward and then just from the football standpoint looking at the chiefs I mean he's gonna be another month behind on recovery yeah okay because there's no way they're able to put together a prison plan for coming out of the night I don't know if they're gonna be able to get what's up doggy what's up doggy just stop by good to see dog popping the shefters so let's assume there's a chance they're gonna have to clean that up again okay because I was a cleanup surgery which means they wanted to eliminate some stiffness probably some scar tissue stuff whatever the case is there was some loose stuff they're probably if you don't rehab that fully you might have to refix that again so let's just assume that's gonna set him back again man it was loose car it was loose cartilage it was a debris mint and obviously maybe you wouldn't have fun when you did if you're going to jail the next week for 30 days all right well hopefully Rashid figures it out maybe longer she go Rashid come on she yeah maybe there's physical therapists in there maybe and they just run through a lot lucky they do the towels and sheets for that because there's a lot of band work on the knee you know to build full flexibility and strengthen the quad because you're gonna activate the quad anytime the knee goes probably because the quad goes but there's also you know inside with the drop in the outside so you gotta do this number in this number in this number and then we're gonna rub that thing down so you don't have any scar tissue it's gonna be the most painful thing about that it's a nightmare yeah she's a holic might be in there and say don't don't you worry we don't know is she's all in Dallas I'm not he might be all over multiple states yeah I believe he's in a maximum security facility as well I don't know if she rises all right let's move off of this particular subject let's move to Nashville Tennessee hosting a Super Bowl this a big deal obviously could be cold we chit chat about that but now all of a sudden there's this conversation about hotel rooms and Nashville has been a destination city for as long as that I've known it people travel in there for bachelor bachelorette party's birthday party's just good time because everything there seemingly has live music that's at the top of the class and then bars that are very open in a hospitable group of people that are welcome you into a city of good time so I think they'll be a great host for the Super Bowl what is the L hotel room we looked this up Jake when the Colts got the Super Bowl they to build multiple hotels here in Indiana yes we are a hosting city but the JW Marriott one up we looked it up they probably have like 400 to 700 hotel rooms they have a thousand 400 to 700 is what is considered a large hotel okay so a thousand hotel rooms the JW Marriott put in so we there was a reason that that had a thousand rooms because of the Super Bowl implications what does Nashville need to do how quickly do they need to do that and is this going to become in the part of the rotation like Jim Nance who I did not know lives in Nashville spoke about saying that he expects Nashville to become a rotational Super Bowl city because of how great they are at hosting things which I would like to say every time they've hosted me I'm at a great time I don't know about events but every time I've been there it's been a blast go ahead chef D well Pat you are a force no doubt but hosting you and hosting a Super Bowl with all the people that come along with it is a different experience and there's just a lot more of me sure that's what everybody's having their own experience you know and as long as there's a hotel room for me to sleep in I think is that's what everybody saying we're gonna be a okay but that is the big question right how many do you need for the Super Bowl for the NFL to feel comfortable well we did the draft there and the draft went off without a hitch and I think that was an event that helped put Nashville on the map with the NFL and help the draft turn into what it is today and help lead to the Super Bowl coming back to Nashville one day obviously the new stadium really does the trick because if you build it they will come and that's what the NFL is doing right now I was in I was in Nashville a few weeks ago and it feels like there are a whole lot of other added new hotels there right now they've added on I would imagine they'll be more built by the time the Super Bowl comes there and they feel like they have the necessary space to get this done otherwise the league wouldn't have done it so Nashville is gonna pull it off that city is has grown so much and added so much and so it's gonna house the Super Bowl 23 regular rotation that's interesting that I haven't heard Jim Nance was pushing it as a citizen of Nashville I think he was speaking for the city I believe is what he was saying if it goes off great then obviously I think it'll be discussed there's gonna be a lot of people that are gonna want in the Super Bowl game we talked about Washington getting new stadium I think once Washington gets new stadium I would bet Washington gets a Super Bowl one day Jim Nance co-chair of the Super Bowl Committee right got to put in there for sure yeah right got to put in there obviously it worked and the city of Nashville is phenomenal so I assume it's gonna go off without a hitch again and I assume it is gonna steal the show because so many of these suits probably that have never been into country music or whatever are gonna travel down there for the first time and they're gonna walk down Broadway the next Riley Greens in there they said unbelievable Darius Rutgers performed on a balcony oh yeah yeah it's like that the amount of Blake Shelton will be on top of it is that a chair holy shit is a Dell performing yeah at a bar right over here it's like what is this he walk in there all the bartenders understand what's going on here guys trying to have we having a good time here yeah okay let's go ahead and do this celebration everywhere and I know this place isn't good next door yeah we're all heading right here next door and it's six floors tall go to the fourth floor that'll be the speakeasy floor he's in the back room then go up on top foam party okay so the top floor is foam party speakeasies this one third floor sports bar they got a cause them thing in the back you're gonna love it and then the second floor just kind of a honky tonk you know just kind of get in there and have fun good and climb that's what Nashville is it is outrageous how good of a time it's only a matter of time right before it can it continue to be all I don't how much more everything reaches a certain point you would think that I can continue that at least got to be a hundred years of that oh yeah I mean it's kind of happening with Vegas right now like that was Vegas for the longest time and then now it's kind of like they're having a tough time getting people out there and I think people are kind of going to Nashville for that Vegas type thing so but they're in like the early stages of that so yeah they probably do have a nice little shelf life here for the next several years maybe even decades congratulations to Nashville and we can't wait to get down there for that radio rose gonna be outrageous yeah it's gonna be can't stress enough how awesome the draft was down there to the other cities have been great but Nashville setup was by far the best one I agree I agree completely okay last question before I let you get out of here shifter go ahead con man yeah chef T with Kansas City maybe looking for wide receivers and some other teams Washington I've seen some Raven stuff where can we expect some of these guys to sign Tyree kill stuff on digs Keenan Allen you know D-Hop Debo what when should we expect this and where should we expect the teams to be interested in a lot of water see we're sitting out there right now a lot of water see was looking for a new home oh who's that that we we got to be way yeah that that's that that's it by the way like I just I got the person calling me can you see me now I can't see you can you see me right now now you're just your pause it's pause screen you gotta get back into it yeah yeah that's good work yeah that's what you said there about that person I was pretty fantastic feels like it is somebody of importance but they can't wait a little bit if it was somebody of super duper importance at the exact moment you would certainly have walked away because you already had now because we couldn't see you know me well why are you yes sir wide receivers though wide receivers though in this market there's a lot of big household names available and seemingly conversations about places that are looking for a wide out including Kansas City now obviously yeah I think some of these players they'll be able to hand pick their opportunities right before training camp or maybe they wait a week or two into camp and wait to see if there's an injury a lot of these guys haven't gotten the prices they wanted to tell you kills an injury situation where he may not be ready till midway through the season that's that may be a down the line thing but at some point time if and when the money's right for any of these players then they step in at that point time but it hasn't happened yet and there's only a lot of options out there at that receiver position right now for teams there in the market I don't know how many teams were in the market for a wide receiver right now like I guess the chiefs maybe looking to add one maybe June 1st will be bring about the AJ Brown trade you see the list of the guys Brandon I you I don't you know that that that's that's interesting one the Andre Hopkins still out there he was saying why we think be able to make some place for a team but many of the guys have been unbelievable in the league for a long time shot sleeper cold saying maybe you know we lost people and why are we thinking about bringing in another one especially the out Pierce having a surgery in two months behind but out Pierce will be back healthy speaking of being back Lamar Jackson not first day of OTA's story worthy how about Herbert is he also not at OTA's but we saw him in the building in April I think we saw Lamar in the building as well in Baltimore but I guess not at a certain event like how should we judge these because I former player guys miss voluntary OTA's all the time back in the day for certain things especially OG's if we had a maybe a charity event had to happen or maybe family had something going on they've been around the league for a long time it's voluntary for a reason okay this is voluntary for a reason young guys back half of the roster you are welcome this is your time to kind of earn your spot in the building you should be here but there's always been like OG's that have missed some days now Peyton Manning was there throughout the entirety of it but he might have missed a couple things here there same thing with like Dallas and Gary all the guys but they were always there I've heard some other places that the vets weren't even there until like a certain time where they all decided to go that's kind of all evolve now that we see how much money they all make and everything is content worthy and we see where everybody's at all the time do you think more attention to this conversation has changed the way teams treat it or players treat it and what should we make a big deal out of it because back in the day none of this shit would have been a big deal if he never came that'd be a problem but the voluntary part of it was always kind of like hey let's remember this shit is voluntary right now especially for the OG's well that that's the whole thing is that there have been plenty of instances where players didn't show up at certain points it never got the attention but in the league itself right now everything becomes headline worthy and Lamar Jackson was all the workouts before this so he's not at the OTA's that started but he was going through the offseason workout program which he hadn't done before so that's it that's a big deal now if he stays away the entire offseason program he's away during OTA's which he hadn't been he'd already been in attendance way more than he had been in any other offseason so maybe he just feels like okay I picked up what I feel like I need to pick up and Declan Doyle's a new offense that's being installed and implemented here he feels good maybe he's got something going on who knows like I'm not too worried about Lamar Jackson missing especially considering how much he's been there this offseason okay how about for the Chargers we've seen Herbert in the building obviously he lives in LA I think every single thing he does every meal he has every show he watches his document and now at this point congrats to him he looks super handsome is there anything going on with him or why was his name floating on the internet I would think the same type of situation where he's not there for something like Justin Herbert's a worker be like that guy's gonna be there at most everything if he's not there for an extended period okay then we'd ask the question but you know I haven't taken daily attendance of Justin Herbert to figure out why he's not there today you know whether he's got a cold whether he's got another obligation whatever it may be whether he's got a date a big day who knows well we'll find that out for sure it feels like every time they do that we learn him and I'm happy as hell for him by the way I couldn't fathom what he is like in those settings I bet it's fantastic music yeah music video he looks so good he was with he's in love yeah get off this guy's bad just just ask but I am happy that we just got done doing a segment that basically says hey this is voluntary let's remember that there's shit going on in people's lives this is always this is how this is yeah yeah I agree all right sweet appreciate the hell out of you chef for good luck over there go Pacers yeah there you go guy by the way while I was on the phone here the thunder texted me what do we got pieces on wait we need thunder stuff so they're gonna be sending me stuff y'all wear thunder the next time I'm on here hey won't you tell me I want you tell the thunder why don't they worry about when be tonight okay don't need to be worried about wearing pager stuff on the show you're the best ladies and gentlemen chef chef that's good pivot actually ladies and gentlemen it's time to move to the association the national basketball association but before we do let's get a quick bite of some info it's time for a drive by that's right ladies and gentlemen we're watching you dance on the back pretty good little bomb pretty good little bob for the kid a little bit of bounce there a little bit of bouncer okay let's get into it Jason kids fired okay that comes out and the where then people start putting out his record even before the lucah trade post lucah trade how the team has been and seems like all the stats that people are shoving into my algorithm warrant or justify a firing why do we think this happened did we know this is happening this feels out of the middle of nowhere shamsher on you yes so pat you have to look at the leadership that's now coming in masai yuziri he was a long term long time 12 years he spent in toronto as a vice chairman there now he gets the president job the alternate governor job in Dallas and he has full authority to do whatever he wants with with with the direction of this team and so in the last seven months you trade Nika you trade Anthony Davis you fire Nico Harrison and now you fire Jason kid and you know when I talk to people around that organization the last 24 hours you think about the residue that's all come from the trade of lucah dodge it's right and everything that's that's come out of that and you've had an owner there and Patrick Dumont who's admitted that he made a mistake that he made a mistake by green lighting that trade and so how involved was Jason kid he wasn't making the trade but math sources do believe that he had a level of support for that trade so masai yuziri comes in and I think for him it's a complete restart a clean slate a fresh start for the entire organization they've already fired Nico Harrison you now you fire Jason kid Anthony Davis is already gone you traded him basically for salaries and a few draft picks you still have Kyrie Irving on this team who you feel like has a future with Cooper flag everything around this organization that's the one element of the team that's not going to change it's Cooper flag but for them to move off of Jason kid right now had they're eating four years and almost 45 million dollars to get off of Jason kid and essentially wash their hands of the situation and this is all because team leadership wants a clean start masai yuziri came into the building you lucatrade like it don't like it I thought we had to do it at time sick all right you were part of the lucatrade right if I do recall you were the big name that came over yeah all right you made the trade right yeah all right all right you're fucking fired first okay I'm gonna let you know that right now you definitely you're you're you're out of here first this is the dumbest you see what he's doing over there he's in shape to his older he's mature he's fucking what do you think is gonna happen you you are every time I look at you the only reason why you're here is because we traded lucas so we're gonna get you the hell out of here for sure and I heard you coach you were kind of saying you thought it was because of you not because the lucas all that get your ass out of here as well that is kind of what this is right this is a this is Cooper flags team we are gonna eliminate the thought and mark cuban's the owner that lucas was here that we traded his ass away we are gonna this is Cooper flag the main event is who we would like to be is that kind of what this is from your standpoint I mean forget anyone involved with just the luka dodge it straight we've seen patrick do not the owner essentially flush away anyone that was even around the mark cuban regime right Nico Harrison Jason kid they were all brought in by mark cuban luka dodge it's a mark cuban guy the only mark cuban guy left on that team right now is Kyrie Irving Kyrie Irving is a generational player generational talent Masai jury did his press conference today and he said we want to see Kyrie Irving and Cooper flag on the court together but there's no question there's multiple contenders around the NBA that are very much monitoring what Kyrie Irving's future is right now with the Mavericks whether it's the summer whether it's into the season but that's all gonna play out of the course the year there's no question Jason kid anyone else in that organization where they were at with the luka dodge of it all maybe I play a factor in in people's firings but certainly from an informational perspective from a position of like good that's good background context as an investigation to an extent that you have to do when you come into an organization so it's that there's the infighting that's been going on internally there there's been so much toxicity around that organization that now my Masai Ujiri is inheriting it's crazy that the worst trade in history is a problem yeah in the building you know they love it a lot of people probably loved Luke in that building oh yeah so then when it doesn't work out the amount of I told you says and then the amount of like no we had to do the time you're not an adult the grandstanding that could take place and Masai Ujiri said the reason why Kyrie Irving still around this is via Abbey Jones at underscore Abigail nice Masai Ujiri said Kevin Durant once told me there's only one Kyrie Irving walking around the world okay so you don't move on from one of those okay this guy's an actual witch what it was a basketball and even watching his live streams he's back it appears as if he is good him and Cooper okay that could be sweet brotherhood we just got to hope that the Mavericks fans welcome the brand-new era I feel like they probably will but there's probably a lot of healing that has to kind of take place okay let's talk about tonight obviously huge things this where the Mavericks trying to get to Darren Fox obviously massive story of game one anything else we need to keep track of as we look to this evening shams Darren Fox definitely a game time decision I'm told he has a high ankle sprain and that's something he suffered in the Minnesota Turnbull series he basically played through it but it's it's at it's stiffened up it's it's added swelling in the last several days and so he missed game one that was essentially a game time decision ends up missing that game they're gonna take it closer to game time again today but the team is letting Darren Fox makes his make this decision he's gonna test it out throughout the day get treatment be a shoot around that's going on right now and then pregame test it out but you win game one so I do wonder internally with the Spurs yeah they're probably gonna want him to to seek any play but how much consideration do you have to do how much caution are you gonna have given that you just won that game one but this is of course a must-win type of environment for Oklahoma City I'm very curious to see how Chet Holmgren comes out against Victor Roman Yama on defense he was a guy that was one of the top three guys in defensive play of the year voting so Chet Holmgren, Shay Gilshaw was entered J-Dubb a lot to prove tonight. Okay so any other news that we need to think of is there any other injuries before we make any picks Oklahoma City favored by six and a half yet again? A lot. No injuries on the Oklahoma City side J-Dubb came back in game one he's been full throttle San Antonio just has the Darren Fox situation I thought I was gonna get injured last night at Madison Square Garden literally the way that arena was trembling I kid you not it's like an earthquake like when Jaylen Brunson's making those like banking shots it's like a four point game then it's a two point game a three point game like the building was literally shaking so thankfully I'm good. Okay we're proud of you way to battle through an electric environment okay. Hope that continues to happen. Shout out to Madison Square Garden still bringing it. Alright we appreciate the hell out of you. Shams you're the best ladies and gentlemen Shams from joining us now 13 year NBA vet friend of the program co-host of the Knuckleheads podcast ladies and gentlemen Q-Ridge. What's up wash dad? What's good what's good? I don't think you're wash you could still shoot probably do if you had to do it I appreciate the incredible merch though we'd love one of their shirts if we could get them we've been doing that on the show lately. I shout out to my folks man my people over there wash dad man take care of the patting the boys up there man. They are fans they give me their fans. Throw it on and put it up there they good folks over here wash dad. Okay sick large uh... Okay we'll get the size of it. Okay let's talk speaking of sizes let's talk about tonight the size of two of the main events here Chet and Wemby are obviously massive topic of discussion we just heard Shams say as almost like a news break I'll be excited to see what Chet does defensively against Wemby we've been talking a lot about that because those two look very similar how do you expect Oklahoma City to respond to what Wemby did in game one and how do you think they're gonna try to stop what this special I mean unique alien is doing right now in the biggest stages. Yeah man Wemby's unbelievable he's in that game the other night this shot he's showing everything he did the other night was incredible now what the thunder have to do if they have to respond and like it's been talked about a lot if I'm Chet as a as a player as a man I gotta I gotta stand up and say coach I want that matchup regardless of whatever is being suggested and like you saw they through several different bodies Adam Jalen Williams Caruso Lou Dork Chet Holmgren is the one that everybody wants to see that we should see facing him and that that's to me that's the best matchup for Wemby the likes the likeness and size and body shape and body structure why wouldn't he I've been so confused all week we've been talking about it and people like you know Caruso probably the right guy for that matchup it's like how how I don't know basketball well enough why would he not be guarding him they just think he's better on like the second best player so they can kind of eliminate him and then double Wemby like what is the what is the thought. I'm not sure what the thinking is behind it maybe they think they can bother him with smaller guys or whatever because he's not as strong and he's not gonna you know like back you down like a shackwood in the post or something but to me if I'm Wemby I mean not Wemby if I'm chatting that situation and I'm in the locker room why this is being said to the team like hey this is what we're going I'm I have to stand up and say something and say hey wait a minute wait a minute close like me and this dude got history I want this match up now ultimately the coaches don't have the last say but I would at least have to speak up and let let it be known that I would like this match up and I want to take that challenge on. It's crazy that it didn't happen but we assume that Chet has heard it and we assume he'll answer this Oklahoma City team is unbelievable and obviously they could have won game one what would the conversation be if that was the case instead now we're talking about Wemby maybe never losing a basketball game game again. Let's talk about SGA in Oklahoma City he gets doubled immediately upon breaking half court that happens to him I guess on a very regular basis that means somebody's gonna be left open because it's just a math game. Caruso hit last time how do you think SGA responds what do you think Oklahoma City is about the face and how do we watch them bounce back like I assume they're gonna do because they haven't lost two in a row probably years maybe yeah I have no idea when the last time they did that. Yeah I expect SGA to do pretty much what he did last guy I mean he's all he said that all year longer in the last couple years that he really reads the game and watches and sees what he needs to do and where he gets it where he can fit in but I'm impressed by his poise and not forcing anything I do expect him to be a little more aggressive tonight trying to find you know trying to find more chances to go one on one and do his thing because they need him to score more but I still expect him to kind of start out like just letting the game flow and if his teammates are the open guys using those guys and I don't know if it'll be Caruso or who to be that we get the open shots this time and knock them down or not knock them down but I think to a certain extent that's how SGA is wired man he doesn't really like force the issue and you saw when he stopped when he broke the 20 point streak he didn't do anything extra go crazy to try and get the points he kind of just let the game dictate itself but I do expect him to have some level of aggression that is more than last game. So he's pure point guard at his soul you know a boy he can get buckets. Yeah yeah pure hooper pure hooper. He's gonna make the right decision seemingly every time that is kind of what Chris Paul talked about whenever he was on the other day he was like Shay made every right decision like he's quarterback out there he made every right decision and CP3 said the same thing you said there is like would like him maybe to start you know calling his own number a little bit more maybe but that's as a point guard I feel like he feels like if there's a guy wide-ass open it is my job to get the ball to the guy that is wide-ass open that's a better shot than whatever I'm about to do but I think SGA forgets that like hey whatever you're about to do the hoop's big yeah you know whatever whatever you're about to do the hoops big can't wait to watch that battle tonight last night was epic go ahead tone yeah Q obviously the story of the night was the comeback but what led to the comeback I we put together a highlight reel or maybe a low light reel depends on what team you're rooting for just James Harden getting ISOed a thousand times with Jalen Brunson what it was your what were your thoughts on the fourth quarter and then the Cavs defensive plan and kind of what Brunson did to go off so a couple things like first of like number one if I'm James Harden and I want to say this bad start off saying this by like I got crazy respect for James Harden in his game and you know everything he's done and what he means to the game but in a situation like this I mean it's tape of me guarding different people Kobe whoever it may be somebody start tuning you up like this you got it you got to give them a shot like obviously in this era you can't do nothing too crazy you might get you know technical or thrown out you don't want to do nothing like that but when somebody is just lining you up seeking you out every time every time and they score this many points in a row at some point I don't care I'm just gonna hit you I'm going to just foul you and let you know that you pissing me off and that it might go further you continue this just to try to do anything because nothing clearly he couldn't guard him he couldn't guard him and they continue to go to it and exploit it that's the first thing but secondly from the team in the coaching standpoint if the coach ain't gonna switch it as a teammate somebody got a step in and say yo now let me get him like this is like what are we doing here somebody it was a failure on all different sides for the coach to change the matchup a player a teammate that step in and say I knew somebody we need to do something or for even Harden to say himself you don't want to concede defeat but at some point we want to win the game coach Atkinson said that Harden's one of his best defenders after the game and all my all my algo was feed me was a he was taking the worst defender in history basketball so I was just so there was such a juxtaposition in it all but like the Knicks just getting that hot that quickly in the way you were saying it Jaylen Brunson just saying in the huddle I think there is a moment where he starts talking by the way hey get me on hard it maybe that's what he's saying you know we will run on a 40 to 11 run or whatever the case was insane fourth quarter absolutely epic start to the NBA playoffs thus far why is Atkinson saying that about James he's just trying to gas him up try to keep him motivated because he understands James can hear all this and can James respond to this in a big way like you did in the previous series absolutely I think I think he absolutely said that you know support his guy and the state bad behind them and you know strong support but um yeah I think I mean to me Harden can definitely bounce back I was surprised at this game I felt like going into the game I was looking at his numbers like historically against the Knicks he plays well in the garden against the Knicks in general he has a winning record against him I felt like it boated well for for him in this series but obviously he didn't play as well as you know anybody would have liked him to and then the defensive the defensive part of it is you know that's all that everybody's talking about so that's a tough one I will say this though it it they were probably the Knicks got down to when they cut it down to like it was either 16 or 15 or 13 or something like that and I tweeted I say they got a shot right here I said they can make the push and do a couple more like cuz and in this NBA the three-pointer is such an equalizer that 20 points is no longer like this you know unfathomable thing to come back from like it used to be and so once they got at the 15 and the crowd started to get a little more into it and you saw Brunson start to come alive and I was like if he's going again like they need to double immediately the same way that people are doing as yet they got to run two guys that immediately and just get them off the ball and see what anybody else could do but they let it get too far and too far and then once they got an attempt okay we got a game yeah and then you could see the change in Cleveland they they they played timid after that it was like they tried to get the air out of the ball and run the clock and then it was like once it turned up it felt like they played timid to me and all we are is one eighth of an inch away from the Merrill three for them winning crazy night classic took place in Madison Square Garden for the Eastern Conference NBA around one I mean we are in the middle of champions trying to find their way to their trophies the toxic it was here at Boston Connor and that Ty Schmidt one half of the hammer done Cowboys AP Tony's here it's not just the playoffs football is delivering there's a guy in jail right now yeah that's crazy old days are happening we're getting some highlights that's cool a lot of teams having a lot of guys show up new cultures are being that new precedents are being set for quarterbacks new faces new places great news out of some camps what's that not some I mean the word on the street is if you thought Drake may have killed last year joining us now ladies and gentlemen from an attic in Ohio is a man who's a college football national champion a Super Bowl champion a rather cup winner ladies and gentlemen AJ Hawks Hawker good news coming out in New England it sounds like for Drake may I did actually hear that we hear we hear all great things coming out of New England so yeah it's gonna be another Super Bowl year right comment don't don't be a dickhead okay we're talking about Drake may we're good things coming out of camp about Drake may okay asshole easily but right now it is a very positive time for all teams you know some teams are kind of set in their roster because they don't have a lot of money some teams still have a lot of money and can figure it out after the OTA is what they might need before they head into training camp at the end of the summer but I think right now most optimistic time for most teams yeah we're seeing highlights come out from social media teams we're watching people dance we're seeing good coaching happening we're seeing celebrations we're seeing highlights I saw Carson Beck put one point in an absolute bucket it's like right now is all good times I think in when you're building up the belief in your team potentially being able to win it all Josh Allen's already got handshakes for everybody Keon Coleman right there has come out hey it's a make or break year for Keon Coleman Joe Brady loves Keon Coleman it's like right now feels like all positive which I absolutely love AJ Hawks yeah it is and this is a time in the NFL where you truly it really is a great time for players if you think about to build your culture because you have this on the field stuff yes but you're only at the facility what four six hours a day this is the time when you go and you work on the field then you get to actually hang out off the field and go play golf go do whatever it is so this is a key time I think for teams like to build those relationships truly beers with the lads on the golf course and say your team goes Monday Tuesday Thursday Friday which they don't do any more a lot of times that Tuesday night you all go out and hang out and oh yeah just great times cards games happening card games happening all the times around oh my god it's good old days you know there's only one team that really had a tough clip I don't know if you saw but there is a tool overthrow and a pen it that was the one clip I saw yeah I believe who put out the news or social media I think it was the news I don't think it was so that's back seam routes and they didn't hit yeah one was high one was low and people you got to be kidding me yeah well I mean who would guess let's go to Miami Dolphin fan bubble gum Pino could you have guessed that coming out of Falcon's camp yeah I'm really happy to see to on Atlanta he looks really good Malik will has been working really hard all offseason just spinning darts all over the place so best of luck to the Falcons and to her for sure I saw Malik will is throw a baseball out of the stadium for his yeah but yeah also mashed in the batting cage after that exit velocity a couple of his guys crazy that is good yeah like wide receivers tight ends those types of guys really really good and even rip balls across the middle all day yesterday I mean he's firing darts in Miami boys I believe in Malik they need to just let him do what he is run the football just commit to it and they're everybody so scared to do it fully because of the quarterback position if he gets hurt you're kind of screwed but it's like what if you never reach the apex of a player because you're scared to let him be who he's supposed to be we're kind of saying that with Justin Fields like Justin Fields is clearly the best runner of the ball whenever he's on the field whenever he's running with it he is faster than everybody he's seemingly smarter than everybody he has good awareness on where to run to set up blocks he's like an incredible but he's core back we need him to throw we need him to throw it's like okay definitely has to throw better of course but why wouldn't we want to utilize what makes him maybe an NFL quarterback and like well one shot it's over it's like what did you ever get it you know like I think there is a weird spot to be in it like to be it's almost like you're being punished for being a great athlete and not punished but hey to a true like we think old-school drop-back quarterback you need to be able to you know take a three-five-step drop pull the trigger but if you are an absolute free cabinet that's faster than most every guy on the field at that time yeah it probably would benefit you to pull that thing down maybe have some design runs but then all of a sudden like the better you get the more scared they get for you to get hurt Lamar exactly the better you get it running the ball the more scared they are that you're running the ball like it was happening with Lamar Jackson obviously in his first contract all anybody said was not gonna be able to last long enough in the NFL to be able to do this then he makes it through his whole first contract then he gets franchise tag makes it through there again wins an MVP does the entire thing you're gonna pay you think he's gonna he's like he's proven that he can avoid hits and everything we we got to see him be able to throw then he becomes the best passer in the NFL remember he's like QBR was better than everybody else and his passer rating was better than everybody else and it was it wins another MVP it's like you still not gonna be able to do it run it's like okay but that is kind of the old narrative there has been unique situations Lamar Jackson being that how about him attending more offseason stuff than he's ever attended before and maybe Minter cracking into a new culture over there in Baltimore everybody's talking about John Horrible okay because he wanted a Giants he picked up and left took a lot of Ravens with him nobody's talking about what's gonna happen in Baltimore is this gonna be a refresh team a happy team a hungry team with Minter what are your thoughts on how this Baltimore Raven squad looks as a whole and what is but are gonna be cheering for this year yeah I mean I think I think with Minter they may have like some I don't know like you'll re-energize them a bit I'm sure for the more for anybody it's true no matter what level you are on the team when a new staff comes in you kind of have to prove yourself to them and if you have any pride as an athlete you want to show me like these I want this new staff to know like I'm in here daily I run the show this is my like I am the absolute leader of this offense of the team and you want to prove to those guys that you are who they probably think you are all right last question here about this whole thing the reason why we're talking about this because Lamar missed voluntary workouts some other guys did as well back in the day it was not a big deal now we cover everything how do you feel about missing yeah I mean there's things come up all the time you mentioned earlier in the show like family stuff charity events yeah there's reasons to miss the time yeah maybe there's a golf game has to be played you know not that I had to be in everyone because I was a tweeter and I was a punter so I there's no and you usually have I would assume they still have you attend a certain amount of the offseason workouts like they'll tell you if you need 85% of the workouts you get your workout bonus yeah I heard that was a big thing in Green Bay I heard that was a big thing in Green Bay a lot of the cities that aren't destination cities have the offseason workout bonuses in place because like in LA Herbert like probably lives out there you know Dallas a lot of guys like live free money though it's great though it's free money in your contract you don't like I was like you can put as much as you want in there because all I have to do is show up which I'm going to do anyway that's your job that's kind of what fans think now whenever guys miss OTA's are like it's your job you're getting paid so this is you can't show up for six days here in the middle of May to do your job that's how fans feel but like the voluntary OTA's it's like hey do you want to come say what's up it used to be viewed like this yeah it is definitely a fan it used to be viewed like that now it's like hey get you get paid a lot of money you need your ass needs to be guys committed what are we doing you want to go do a charity event raise $100 million for cancer research okay do it on your own time you don't have to work for three months try to win again you remember you didn't make the playoffs you remember that you had a lot of time to do all this shit it's what fans say yes fans are supposed to say and we appreciate that as we move forward now ladies and gentlemen it is another absolute honor to be a part of the future of somebody that might be carrying the next generation into a grand and pound physical football world every once in a while we get an opportunity to be a part of one of the biggest decisions of an athlete's life who's committing where Foxy chess if you want to be the best and not sit on the show hope where you're gonna go oh everybody waiting they all want to know there's a big game for some big names locking in the place some big games for some big names locking in the place some big games okay ladies and gentlemen we're about to add to that highlight reel with a big man big man huge hey giant of a man who is wildly athletic out of Grayson Georgia he's a Grayson high school Ram and he's about to ram his ass through some college football conference making his collegiate football decision here today ladies and gentlemen six foot four three hundred and five pound Jordan Agba Noma how are you doing man how you doing mr. Agba Noma how are you doing brother how's life good how are you good how is your six foot four three hundred five we were watching your highlights okay so every time we get to do this we realize quickly that your guys is generation is so much bigger faster stronger and better football than maybe any generation in history and I don't know if you've seen these highlights yet AJ this guy's going to the stands he's gonna take a guy over there yep he's going to the stands that's him all the way over there everyone is you moving bodies you're playing tackle in a couple of these they're projecting you to be an interior offensive lineman when did you grow into the offensive line body have you always been a massive body mover how'd you find your way into this particular field Jordan I mean I've always been big you know also when I was playing basketball back in the old days just playing basketball my coach I used to foul out every single time I was playing basketball so my basketball coach talking my dad getting me into football and I'm playing football ever since how's the recruiting process having basketball feet while also having the power in the mindset to want to punish people makes up a perfect offensive lineman how is the recruiting process been for you over the last couple years especially now with the NIL component and everything else that could potentially muddy the waters a bit I mean it's been good you know I started started on 3 January of my sophomore year. He's been turned up since then. So he's been a great time. And the NIL part, I mean, for me, it's a blessing, you know. I can take care of my family early. I'm just helping all the people I want to help out and the people who help me out. So it's been a blessing for me. Jordan, I love everything you're saying. I love watching your film. I love the fact that the future of the offensive line is seemingly in great hands. And speaking of future, why don't you go ahead and take the floor here and let the world know where you're going to be playing football at next? All right. You got to think my mom, dad, brother, sister, friends, family, my coaches, anybody without anything to say, I'm committed to the University of Nebraska. Hey! OK. Obviously in Georgia, I believe Georgia was a part of the conversations. Texas A&M was a part of the conversations. There was a lot of schools, obviously, that wanted the 6 foot 4, 305 basketball feet, and they have in power house offense alignment top five in the country in all rankings. Why Nebraska? Jordan, congrats to you. I mean, all the coaches are great people. I mean, I've been there twice. And then even in those two visits, I mean, I've seen practice. I've seen the city of Lincoln. I've seen how coach Wade, coaches, coach Rue, coaches, this is a great place for me to come in early and start early and play as a freshman and build my own legacy there. OK. So we're excited to see you get in there. How do you feel about entering Big Ten football? You know, it's going to get, hey, it's going to get cold, Jordan. Hey, it's going to get cold out here. Big bodies, a lot of hand fighting, obviously a lot of meat in Big Ten football. Are you excited about that? Because it feels like that's your style of play from what we've seen from your huddle. Yes, sir. This is out of the play, coach. I mean, inside the play, sir. Love that. You're the greatest. Tell your family they did a phenomenal job. I hope they are listening. We can't wait to watch you at Nebraska and coach Rue. I know it's probably over the moon right now that he has you coming to town. Congratulations. Thanks for letting us be a part of this. It's certainly a problem. Go Big Red. Hey, ladies and gentlemen, Jordan Aguindon. Yay, Jordan. Good energy. We had multiple, we had multiple graphics there because, you know, we get a heads up. But also that has changed in the past where somebody has made a different decision. That was a that's huge for Rue. Oh, yeah, Ty was pissed when that one came through the. I said, that makes sense. He wants to go and he wants to start his freshman year. Nebraska would be where you would go compared to, you know, A&M, Georgia. So that's final five. This is his final five. Listen, Florida, Miami, Georgia, Texas, A&M, Nebraska. That is kind of surprising. But, you know, to your point, I mean, we've we've heard about, you know, the NIL that Nebraska has available to. And if you get a kid that from Georgia who goes up there and likes Lincoln likes the campus doesn't mind about the weather. Like as of right now, it would make like why wouldn't you want to go play in the Big Ten? So it's not, I mean, it's not that crazy. Congratulations, Jordan. Congratulations to Nebraska. Six four. Three oh five put together. Well, that'll work. Yeah. And he, hey, moves well. He's a rogue. Great. Imagine, imagine being a high school kid. You know, you're like a 240 pound three technique and this guy's just blasting you all game long. You got to watch film all week knowing what's coming. And then you get there. He's even larger than he had math tests on Friday morning. Oh, man. What I got tonight. Good for him. We're lucky to be a part of these stories. Yeah, they're awesome. We really appreciate doing it. And, you know, immediately upon it happening, there'll be a bunch of people saying, how many more schools are you going to go to? You're a part of his first announcement. He might change before he even gets on campus. It's like, I do believe that is currently an option for these guys. So we don't do transfer. But that's not our thing. We are just, we're very happy. And congratulations to Matt Rule and Nebraska. Congratulations to AJ as well. We chatted about this a little bit on the show. And then we did a little follow up. This guy's a beekeeper. That's right. Big time. This guy's an actual beekeeper. Very early on, very early on. I don't want to act like I know what's going on. Yeah, this is an interesting thing though. You bring these bees into conversation for us. And then do you see they're at the White House now? Is there a little bee, big bee? Huge, yeah. I'm working for big bee, yeah. It doesn't feel like maybe you were targeted and preyed upon because now that the bees are becoming conversation, you have fallen in love with the bees. We talked to AJ. He baited in this feral swarm of bees, these wild bees that have been living out there on their own. Not barn bees, not created bees. These bees that have been out there hunting combing. Yeah, feral bees. Homeless bees. Out there, in the streets of the bees community. Gave them a home. He gated, he, he, he, he, he, he baited them all in, baited them all in. Then he captured them and they said, instead of being mad at him, they view him as a hero. He, he, he's giving them a, and now he said, now it's my job to take care of these bees. So that they're happy here, but they're all workers. He said, couple of my friends buy beehives. They get them from places that are created, spoiled bees. These things aren't good at work. Russian bees. You actually, yeah, the Russian bees are not, cause they're spoiled, cause they've been brought up in captivity. This feral swarm, it sounds like you're actually proud of just want to let everybody know the way he was talking. Very much so. Very much so, yeah. They're a good group. Great group. They're workers. I'm telling you, I said, I checked on them last night and let them go and let them, I need to give them six or seven days to settle into the hive. But yeah, I peaked on them last night. Phew. Of question. They are replicating quickly. They look good. Do you, cause your friends have beehives. Is there an ever, any underground bee fighting leagues where you take your hives and put them in a room together and see what hive comes out alive or? Can't be doing that. No, but I could, but if his hive, if he doesn't take care of his hive over there, they might swarm and come right over to my place. Yeah. So that is a thing. Same with mine. Same with mine too. So I got, I'm going to keep my guys, trust me, you know, they're feral. So they, they're not scared to leave. Like they, they have no issues. I got to make sure I give them good conditions. The way you were talking, the way you were talking to this face, I have 10, 15 minutes I'm talking to him. Never heard him talk about his kids like this. Ever. He was like, you know, I got to keep these things happy too. Kids private. These things, these things will get up and leave. They'll go find another hive. Oh yeah. They'll come and treat him right. They'll get up and leave. And it's like, well, how do you stop him from doing it? Like you got to earn their trust. You got to earn these bees trust. How do they come, become feral? And then he told me about two and a half years, maybe we can get some honey. So this is a long game for the allergy season. And I'm thankful. Great for the garden. I'm thankful that you were doing it. Joining us now, ladies and gentlemen, coming to you is a line from, I don't know, a movie scene. It looks like, ladies and gentlemen, some call him big hornel. You might know him as horny. You also might know him as John Soul and Johnny. Ladies and gentlemen, 18 year NHL veteran Stanley Cup champion, Eric Johnson. Hey, horny. What's up, horny. Horny. Hey, can you go full screen on him real quick just so we can see? This is out of the movie scene here. So where are we right now? We are in Lexington, Kentucky, the beautiful blue grass and some of the mayors and babies enjoying some sunshine out here. All right, so I know Pink Sky at night, Sailor's Delight, Pink Sky in morning, Sailor take warning or something. I know that if cows are laying down, I think that means rain is on the way. See the big cloud. Will the horses act any differently if rain's on the way? Are they the ones telling? Are they a doppler or are you guys potentially going to all get drenched at the same time here? So this is actually, this is a horrible story. Jesus. Horses are really attracted to lightning. Like they're just hit more often. So I've actually had a horse get struck by lightning and die on the spot because a lot of these, there's these waters out here. You see these waters in the background? Yeah. So those have pipes that run all the way to it. And so the lightning will hit that and the horses will get affected. So I've had a few get struck by lightning over the years. It's, I should probably quit the game now because that's just maybe the worst luck I've ever heard of. But it's nice to be out here. I mean, just I had the vet over here this morning. Her arm was all the way up the mare. Back in the sea, if she was pregnant with the ultrasound, I mean, we had everything going on this morning. So it's been a busy morning, boys. Oh yeah. Are you grand? She was not pregnant. Oh, yeah. She was not pregnant. You're not grand, Tony. OK, got it. So do you know the behind the scenes of how the mare gets bred and covered by the stallion? Are you familiar with the process? I don't think everybody knows. Atone gigs, though, as it sounds like, which I appreciate. I don't know if you've been to certain shows in Mexico. But if you could please kind of explain to me the process. I know that when somebody wins, they stud them out, they say. And then I'll see some things on the internet, whether it's big sleeve, it's big one of these, or if it's actually happening. We don't know for sure. Jackass. But that's what's happening at your horse farm all day every day. Is that kind of what your business is? So these are the mares. And they'll get on the van to go to the stallion farm to get covered. So all these stallion farms where they have these big, expensive stallions, every farm has something called a teaser stallion. And the teaser wears like a big chef's apron. So he's covered, and he goes up to the mayor to make sure she's receptive to the whole process. So the teaser gets screwed out of this whole deal. He gets no action. And once the mayor is known that she's receptive, they take the teaser out, the big stallion trotts in, and he covers the mayor. So it's a whole process. You do not want to be the teaser. OK, don't want to be the teaser, it sounds like. But it does sound like the horse business is a pretty sophisticated one that has process. You're really in this thing. You're in the horse business. Should we be talking about you as if you are horse guy, as opposed to NHL guy? Like, is this your full commitment now? I love it. I mean, I like it at boys. When you join a golf country club, you are never going to see that money again. You're going to pay your monthly dues. But what are you going to get out of it? Tons of friendships, tons of great experiences. You have to love the game to get in it. And I love horse racing. I love the breeding. So we try and be profitable and make money by selling these babies at auction every year. And just getting out in Kentucky Lexington, such an underrated town, a beautiful place. And just to have this place in retirement, it has been awesome with the moms, the babies, all the racing out at Keeneland, and the beers down at Campbell Club in downtown Lexington. You just can't beat the vibe down here. That is so cold. Crushable longer. Yeah, we're happy that you're crushing it. A couple chilly ones too. Maybe go ahead and take that down as you're looking at the mayor, just kind of figure their life out, getting shown or whatever the case is. A pox and pock though. Bingo. You're a stallion. There's some stallions. There's a stallion out tonight, which is obviously a huge piece of the conversation. McCar, out. What does this mean? This Golden Knights team obviously has been rallying since Torz has taken over very late in the season, right before the playoffs, that Golden Knights have seemingly found who they are. Team with a lot of moxie. What does this mean for the avalanche, with the injury to McCar? And how do you think the Golden Knights can potentially steal? I don't want to say steal. I apologize, the Golden Knights will take that as disrespect. But you understand what I'm saying here for this Vegas team. Is this the time, and even if McCar was playing, would they have what it takes to potentially make this real in here in Colorado? I think Vegas is going to give Colorado a tougher series than maybe everyone thinks. Since Torz has taken over in Vegas, they've lost two, three games, I think maybe less, including the regular season in the playoffs. So this is a team that really knows how to win. They won the cup in 23 Colorado, one in 22. So it's two veteran teams going at it. Eichel McKinnon, two of the best two-way centers in the NHL. Some might even have McKinnon as the best player in the NHL right now, especially if he can win another cup. But having McCar out, the best description I can give, if you're not a natural hockey fan watching the show right now, it would be like a prime time LeBron James not being in the lineup. That's how big McCar is for the abs and for the NHL. He's just as good on the offensive side as he is defensively. He's a guy that's out there when you need a goal and when you're defending the other team trying to put one in your net. So he's just that good at both ends of the rink. He's an electrifying talent as far as what he can bring offensively. But sometimes you see these guys that are so good on one end and they sacrifice for the other end. He's not that guy. He can do it at both ends of the ice. I don't know if Mark Stone's going to play tonight for Vegas. They're captain. I don't think he is. He's got the back issue. But I think it's going to be a heck of a series. I have it going six or seven games. And it's going to come down to goal tending at the end of the day for me. I don't know if Carter Hart can be a guy that can shut down the abs in this long series like it's probably going to be. But it's going to be too heavyweight squaring off. OK, so let's talk about a couple of the injuries that you mentioned there. Stoner's had a back for a bit. Long time. Back seemingly always shows up. You thinking he's not going to be out. We'll wait for official word. I don't know if that's been released or not. McCar, though, feels like with you hockey guys, you have to be like, damn, you're dead to not play. OK, because the shit that comes out after series is once people get eliminated, it's like he was playing in the series with like a fractured foot. It's like, well, how was he? He was playing with what was the one the other day? L2 or C2C1. You've heard about actual things. Broken neck. And then I forget what. Internal bleeding for the flyers, the guy. Yeah, it might have been Tampa a couple of years ago where somebody was actually like getting pushed up onto the ice. Kachuk. Kachuk couldn't stand up. Yeah. And we didn't. Because of his ribs, right? Yeah. Didn't even find out. So afterwards, though, because you guys don't put anything out. There's no like it's just upper body or lower body. That could be anything. OK, the upper body is made up of a lot of shit. The lower body. He's a dick or is it growing? Or do you break his femur? Yeah. Like what is it? It could be anything with hockey. So McCar missing this feels like a big deal or is just just for him to be able to get back sooner. How do you kind of read the McCar? Because I guess he was on the ice this morning or something like that. So he can't like, how do you judge these types of things when you sit, when you don't sit in hockey, a sport that like, I think expects everybody to play all the time. For me, and I'm just speculating, I don't I played with these guys. I'm really good friends of them. I'm not going to bug them during the playoffs. I'm not going to fish for, you know, any injury, gossip or anything like that. But to me, it feels like it's worse than they anticipated because they've had a little bit of time off since they closed out Minnesota, right? They haven't had Carolina time off 10 or 11 days, but they've had time off. So I do expect him to play probably in game two or game three. But Colorado is deep enough, especially on the blue line, which is crazy to say when you're saying you're going to miss probably the maybe the best player and the best defenseman in the world out of your lineup. I think Colorado is deep enough back there to sustain that loss of McCar. But it's going to be a big task like not only. And I talked to you guys the other day about how good Quinn Hughes and McCar are at the top of the power play. That's where they're going to miss him the most. They'll probably put Devon Taves at the top of the power play right there. He's a lefty. McCar's a righty. So there's just a different dynamic up there when he gets the puck. McCar can shoot it on the one timer from the other side. But now Taves will be able to shoot the one timer and it's set up on McKinnon's side. So that's the difference tonight. It's probably going to be seven Taves. It could be 70 Malinsky at the top. You might see Burns up there as well. But it's just a different look without McCar up there on the power play. He's so good distributing shooting. So it's going to be a big loss. But I think Colorado is good enough to overcome it. Good call in the Montreal power play, by the way. Good call in that it wasn't cool. But it wasn't coffee. Yeah. Yeah. So you probably look too close to the sun. You should have just stayed at the power. Exactly. Just going to zoom out. You know, just zoom out. I would have been the king if I didn't say coffee. It would have been the king. But now I'm nothing. I'm done. No, no, no. You're on a horse bar. No, no, no. Horno. Horno. Horno. You're somebody to us. Damn it. Yeah. You're somebody to us. I'm back. You're standing cup champion. Wake up. On that note, Connor has a question for you. We need this advice from you. Wake up, Horno. I'm sick of you potting over there. Especially I know that's not good for the horses. We know that they can do this. What's with the Scottish action, talking about? No, it's hand-on here. The hockey. Frank, welcome to hockey. Well done, ladies. Well done, John. So are we right? Let us teach you a hockey line. It's never been to Saskatoon, you buffoon. Geez, Louise. But speaking of these cup runs, what is the biggest thing as we get deeper and deeper into the playoffs? When you guys won the cup, for you, what was the hardest thing for your team to get through? It feels like right now is the rust, rest conversation for both sides of it, with Carolina and the Aves dealing with a lot of rust, perhaps, because they've been off for so long and the other team not having enough rest. What do you think is the biggest thing the teams are going through now? And what was your experience when you guys were at the Western Conference Finals when you guys never really won the cup? Great question. So to me, especially in the regular season and how condensed the schedule was this year with the Olympics, guys were playing realistically every single night. And then all your best players went to the Olympics and played a gauntlet of hockey for three weeks. So this rest that Carolina has, that Colorado's gotten in the first and a little bit now in the second round, it's so big. Like, I can't overstate it enough. It is to get four or five days in between series or 10 or 11 that Carolina got, you just don't get that type of recovery. And I don't want to hear anything about the rust. I do not believe it in the playoffs. If you can get rest, it's so big for not only physically on your body, because let's be honest, half the teams getting shot up in their ass with Tordall before the game anyway and they can't feel anything. It's like the miracle drug, right? So I mean, the mental part of the rest that you get is so big. The grind of, let's be real, you're playing, say, on a Monday, you're traveling on a Tuesday, and then you're playing again on a Wednesday, really, the whole way through unless you're lucky enough to sweep a team or beat a team in five. So I don't buy into any of the rust, because the rest physically, mentally, all that stuff, it overweighs all of it to me. I think it's so big this time of year, because you just can't find it during the season. Time why you punish me. Finding time is a good thing, especially in the playoffs and the best of seven series when it can be absolutely groling. We saw it last night with the Knicks though. They had a little rust, DJ. They had a little rust, Horneau. We hope they won't have. What did they come back from? Was it 41, 31? 22, but they won on a 41 to 11 run or something. Yeah, that's what I meant. That's what I meant. Yeah, yeah, yeah, for sure. Yeah, you are true. They had rust, DJ. Yeah, you're a big time basketball. We all hockey guy. We all love basketball. You don't want to see me shoot a basketball. It's embarrassing. We know you're a hockey player. We've already seen it in our minds. We've seen you do that. How about can you throw or no? I'm kind of battling this little rotator cuff thing. I've been doing some inclined presses at the farm. There you go. Yeah. Put the hand. You're going to tour it all, hey? Hey. Hey, it's great to hear that you guys are in that world as well. It makes sense after watching you guys playing everything. And we've done our grandstanding for Touradol before. We like let everybody know you shouldn't take it unless you have to play a professional game, OK? With other people that are allowed to take it. And it's definitely going to make them feel better. Sure. So he, his team, Green Bay Packers over there, didn't offer it. Oh, never had it. It feels like how many Super Bowls? I have one, but yeah, no tour. Zero Touradol. I don't know if they're going to win. That's ethical ball right there. That is ethical medicine. I wonder if they're going to be able, I wonder if they're going to be able to win one in the modern era. I don't know. They still do that age, do you know? It'll be fine. I would assume so. Yeah, I don't know for sure, though. I genuinely want, and listen, once again, we're not promoting anything. If Michael wants Touradol, he's going to get Touradol. I don't know. That's what kind of what AJ was saying was no. That's kind of how they operate. Well, you can sneak it in the locker room to yourself. You think it's just like. You get yourself with Touradol? Yeah. What movie are you guys watching? The program. The program. Yeah. You think that's what's happened? It was happening in our locker room in high school. So why wouldn't it? Was it? Yeah. Was it really? Yeah, you know the guy. Rest in peace. Excuse me. Rest in peace. Oh, no. He did get to play in college football, though. And they pay off. That's not happening. Have you ever taken it before, Golf? I'm kind of embarrassed to say I have. Pell form? No, no, Ivy, you're sitting in the spa. You know, you're laying back. AJ? What's that? That's what booze is for. No. Yeah. Well, that was later in the round. That was after the turn. Of course. That was after the turn. With the turn. With the Chirard hot dog. Yeah. Think. Think about the swim. Oh, yeah, I took part on the IV. My swing's awful. Embarrassing. Really? So non-athletic. You got that rotator cut thing. Yeah. You get yourself. Yeah, definitely. All right. Let's move along whenever we talk about a little bit of puck. It's not just the players that are on Touradol. For us in the NFL, the coaches were lining up over there as well. AJ has a question about that. Yeah, Horne, we talked about torts on here. Obviously, Vegas, the Vegas coach. How about Colorado? This Bednar character seems like the just cool, calm, and collected. He doesn't ever seem fazed. He seems just awesome. His hair is amazing. He dresses great. What can you say about Bednar here? Yeah, I think the biggest thing from playing for him is he's really relatable. I think maybe this has changed over the course since I first got into the league when my career was going on early on in 2006, 2007. Coaches were more pricks. I think you walk down the hallway right in front of them. You put your head down. They put their head down. There wouldn't be a ton of talking. Betsy's super relatable. And I think the biggest thing is I've noticed he's gotten a ton of confidence since he first broke into the league. He came in late. I don't know if you guys remember. It was 2016. Patrick Wadd just retired abruptly. Sorry, resigned abruptly in middle of August. So that's really, really close to the season starting. And Bednar just won the HL championship. That's the farm league in the NHL. And he got hired right before that. We went on to finish last that season, dead last in the NHL. And Joe Sackic, our GM at the time, had a decision to make. Do I bring this guy back? I give him another chance. He brought him back and he's rewarded him in spades. I think a lot of people are questioning should Bednar get fired if the abs don't win the Stanley Cup this year? I think it'd be a foolish decision one way or the other. This guy would be scooped up in two minutes. He's, I think, one of the top coaches of the NHL. He's embraced analytics and the eye test. A lot of coaches, they just used to rely on the eye test. What am I seeing? He uses the data with his eyes, what he's seen during the game to make decisions on his lineup and his roster. He's got that cool surfer dude vibe. He's dressing better than he ever has. I don't know who's helping him with his outfits. I know it's not him. But he's a great guy. I really enjoyed playing for him. I like that you just had to take a shot to his shins. They're late. Like, hey, the guy's fashion is ass. But somebody has certainly helped him in that particular fashion. What is the coach doing? OK, so obviously we know in other sports, there's an offense coordinator, defense coordinator. There's a lot of that happening. There's bench coaches in the NBA. They deal with this. You deal with the wings. You deal with this whole thing. For the NHL, what? There's special teams, coaches, which is what? Pedalty kill and power play and everything like that. What is the head coach doing? Just scheduling, narrative, mission, like how much coaching is happening game to game, like in game? How much of that is happening during games? So it'll change a lot from the regular season to the playoffs because you're playing the same opponent for so long, right? In the playoffs. So Bednar is a guy that he's the only coach I've played for in my career. I think I played for five maybe. He does almost not all the work, but he does a ton of the presentation and meetings himself. A lot of guys will set it off to their assistants to run meetings, but he runs almost all of his meetings. So we have a head coach, a forward coach, and a defensive coach, and a video coach and a skills coach. The forward coach runs the power play. The defensive coach typically runs the penalty kill. Of course, the head coach has input and all those things, but the forward coach will run the power play meeting. The defensive coach will run the penalty kill meeting with input from the head coach, but Bednar will run his pre-scout meeting five on five, four on four, six on five, the morning of the game in front of the entire team, where a lot of coaches don't do that. Bednar shows a ton of video. There's a ton of explanations. If I had one critique of him as a coach, his meetings were too long. Every player would say that. Players hate meetings. He'd probably say my attention span was too short. Actually, no, he would say that. But he does a great job of just doing a lot of the work himself. It's really unbelievable to see because he came up through the East Coast League, which is level before the American League, and then he was in the American League. So he's used to doing all that stuff, but he does a ton of the work himself, of course, with the help of his assistants, but he's a coach that does not really rely on a lot of people to do a lot of the work for him. He works his ass off, and that's why he's such a good coach. It's unbelievable how good he looks if he works his ass off like that, as opposed to what everybody else does. I think that Oklahoma City, wouldn't he G-League coach two tags before he went up there? Yeah, yeah. There's been a few of them. Coming up through the system, you learned obviously the building, the team, the organization, the players, the ideas, the mantras. I think that's a good little feeding ground, obviously. And then sometimes you'll just get your ass fired and then pick up at another place. Sully did a lot of great years in Pittsburgh, and then he got fired, and then exactly what you said happened, somebody will pick him up in two minutes. He wanted a Rangers, and then the Penns wanted a playoffs. And the Rangers did not now. Would you like to break some news, EJ? Let's break it. Okay, I don't know. You would have to be the one that would break the news. Is McDavid coming to the Pittsburgh Penguins? Ha ha ha. I'm gonna have one hot take for you right now. I think one of Austin Matthews or Connor McDavid will be on the Minnesota Wild in the next three years. Wow. That's my hot take. I think they're gonna find a way to get, they need a center, that's Minnesota's clear Achilles heel. They need a number one center. I think Bill Garand finds a way to get a Matthews or a McDavid at Minnesota to push them over the edge. I really do. That's my one hot take for the day, boys. Okay, I like that we're doing hot takes from a horse farm. Now, Minnesota, Billy G said he's gonna get active too. Yeah, Horneau, when you hear Billy G say that nobody on the team is safe as far as, like, you know, it can be moved or anything like that, if you're on that team, does that make you feel better? Or is that one of those things where it's like, hey, yeah, that's part of the business, because as a Boston Bruins fan, I would love to see Matt Bouldy donning the... I thought Quinn Hughes coming to the pens. Yeah, maybe. Well, he's a free agent. So it feels like if Jackie Hughes doesn't bring his brother home, then maybe he does. Oh, he was kind of sucking up to him yesterday on air. Yeah, they were kind of... Yeah, Jack Hughes was sucking up to Quinn Hughes on air yesterday trying to get him over there to New Jersey. Sorry, we just interrupted that. But what does Billy G mean when he's saying that? So it's, I think unnerving as a player. I've been in a position where I thought I was never gonna get traded when I played in St. Louis and then I got traded in my third year there. Very surprised. And I've been in a situation where I thought I was gonna get traded and I did. So I've kind of worn both of those hats and both are really uncomfortable positions, but I like that he said that, because at the end of the day, he's right. Are there guys that you're gonna not listen on, probably if you're a GM, but if someone knocks your socks off with an offer, you're gonna take it if you think you make your team better. So I think he's aggressive and Minnesota showed me a lot this year. They're a way better team than I thought they were. And they especially raised their level in the playoffs. If they get that center, whether it's McDavid, Matthews Hughes from New Jersey, I don't know what they're gonna do, but I like that Bill Garen said that. I do like that because they're a team that they're windows wide open. They just need that one more piece down the middle. And I think they're a perennial contender. I mean, imagine that series against Colorado if they had an elite center. They didn't have Joel Erickson with injury, but they gave Colorado the best team in the NHL right now, bar none in my opinion, a real good run for their money without really any center depth. So we'll see what happens, but I like that line. I think it's good. It keeps everybody honest and nobody safe. Bar, Jordan Davis with the banger. You as well. We appreciate the hell out of you from that horse farm. Tell those mayors to stay away from the lightning, please. Yeah. Thanks boys. Cheers, have a great day. Hey, stick tops to you. Take that. Oh, no. Oh, no. Oh, no. Oh, no. You didn't take your shirt off today. Oh, no. Good work, Erick Johnson. Yeah, oh, no. I guys got a future. Yeah. Yeah. He should just be maybe live streaming all the time. Sure. He ride horses. We didn't ask him if he rides the horses. Yeah. Or he's like a cowboy. We see him. He's side-saddling. I would. That's a good question. He is. You think he rides? Yeah. I mean, so cowboy. Sure. You think he's watching the mayor go through what she's going through not to hop on the back of that thing? No. I feel bad. I think it'd be pretty dangerous. Those horses are an incredible species. Oh, yeah. I think that is something that every time I watch a horse thing, I happen upon it. You learn more about these creatures. They're up there in my top five animals. Top five animals. Every time I see a horse in person, I'm like, geez. Like, they're just amazing. Well, and allegedly, they have the ability to kind of sense things. That's why I thought about maybe the rain. But I guess they lose that sense in another way. They love lighting. So fast. So fast. They need to step away from the lightning, it sounds like. But hey, that's the pipes underneath. How could they ever know? Yeah. How could they ever know? They're out there. They did a lot for our culture as a whole. Oh, yeah. It's a pretty big part of our history. Huge part. Before Hank Ford, yeah. That's how we explored the Great West. It was before Hank Ford. Right before Hank Ford in Model T, around 1920. Yeah, horses. Yeah, horses are a big deal. That alone, Washington. If I'm a bough horse. So we get the PVC pipes. I'm sorry. Could we get some PVC pipes buried in the ground? They don't cut it. Well, you want to take the plastic? He said it's carrying water. Like, lightning is not going to be attracted to a PVC pipe. Well, you want to be laid? How many miles of pipe do you want this guy to lay? There's already been water pipes out to the farm, probably for what, 50, 60 years? Yeah, a two-year job on trench and all that stuff. You going to do it? You're going to do it? Yeah, how much that cost? Depends on how many horses a year. Depends on how many horses you lose a year. Well, John Deere certainly has the product you need to do that. Without a doubt. OK, no questions asked. But that's going to take some time. Time long. Time, money, resources. It's dirt. It's popping. It's precision. This guy. You've got money for the horse. All you need is one leak from this thing that you're putting in there and what? Now the horses can't drink. Now they starve. Yeah. Dehydrate. And they die. OK, age. Yeah, let's worry about that. Instead of the piping that's bringing the cold wall into these horses. This is Terry. Fuck. Let's talk about some other news stories, OK, around the world. The shot that these horses battling out. Run on. God forbid you got to run on extra long hose out there. God forbid all the horses die. Are you going to unravel that hose every time? Yeah, I got to. Super long hose. Get a bunch of kinks in it, exactly. Yeah, exactly. If that thing goes like that. Somewhat. I got to get Tim out and teach him how to wrap it up properly so it doesn't kink. Listen, I don't know how long we can do this one, you know. But what I've learned is even this one is now being defeated by these new rubber hoses that are not supposed to tangle. But they just find new asshole ways to tangle. Now they're sick of the tangle-free stuff that's not tangle-free. They're saying these extension cords these days, you aren't even supposed to do it that way. Yeah, I'm not supposed to do this. Get the fuck out of my face. Who's they? Exactly. People that have never done that. I still do it. Yeah, of course you do. Big extension cord. The extension cord's got the cranks. You can just put on there and just. Them fuckers are nice. I think they also got a. Not mine. Yeah, they do. They got a. Yeah, if you want some weak ass extension cords, you have sure. No, the problem with the is it inevitably sits on top of each other and stops and you got to like re. Yeah, I got 200 footers only. 200. All right. Tony, I got good news for you. Ladies and gentlemen, 10 international games coming right up. Yeah. Wow. Expand the game. Yeah. Good for the world. Good for the globe. Good for the game. OK, this is what we like to see. And that's obviously just a Brazilian picture that was utilized. That country was added to the countries that were hosting NFL games of importance, regular season games just a year or two ago. Now they're traveling to Australia for an actual game, first game of the season for the Los Angeles Rams. You're going to be on prime time throughout the majority of the season. One of the biggest stars of the NFL season next year is down in Australia to start against who? Oh, the San Francisco 49ers, one of the biggest fan bases on Earth. I guess no game is safe now. Any game could potentially be made an international game. There used to be some games where the home teams could say, we got to keep this home game. We got to keep this home game due to fans or due to the business or due to the tradition. I guess the way it was written is no game is safe. Any game could go anywhere. Yeah. That's NFL football. Now, for more on that, we head over to one half of the hammer. Dad. Cowboys, AP Tone. More countries experiencing more games is good for the league. Yeah, more teams. Why are you making chat GPT graphics or grok graphics saying shrink the game? It does feel like there's people that are kind of, they're OK with the international growth, but we don't need to be overdoing it. It's seemingly the reaction from most or some. Yeah, even I was originally fine with it. I mean, but then it reaches a point where it gets a little bit out of control. And now, now the big part of this is not going from eight to 10 games, which is, you know, it's significant. It's the non-projected games. If I have to watch Packers Bears, Steelers, Ravens, Patriots, Bills in France. Yeah, I agree with that. I'd be out. I'm good with that. Grow the game, baby. I'm on now. You want Steelers Ravens? You're a seller. You're a seller. I'm on now all in. Because if we're getting like a Steelers Ravens, maybe some of you want Patriots, say it's supposed to be in July. Just let me walk you through this, Tony. No, you're interrupting me. Patriots. Supposed to be hosting the Bills. And now they got a host in London. You're going to be happy about that? Let's say they're over in France. And all of a sudden, France is going through a little bit of a down year in people who want to play sports. Exactly. France doing France things. All of a sudden, they watch a Steelers versus Ravens game. They watch a Packers versus Bears game. They watch a Patriots, Bills game. And everybody in their country starts smoking cigs and doing dip. I think everybody in France does smoke cigs. That's true. But stuff of that nature. Wine sales go down. Loggers, chili ones, beer sales go up. All of a sudden, we're talking about countries completely changing their GDP and generational sports and people growing up as more so like, what's the teams? You don't think Dolphins Cardinals could do that? That's what I'm saying. Bingo. You don't think Dolphins Cardinals could do that in France? I don't give them that. I don't give a shit about any of that. I don't want fucking division games. Pivotal division games played in other countries. Tony's exactly right. If Packers, Bears, Packers, Lions, something like that, is in fucking China or something like that, boy. We're not going to communist China. Not yet. We're not going to communist China. Fucking Bangladesh. That's too big. We ain't going there. There's not a game in China. Give it a second. OK, there's not a game in Japan. There was before, though. So there is precedent for NFL games. Exactly. They can go to Australia. They go to Japan. They might figure out Saudi if they get it done. Saudi's interested. They're sniffing around. Everybody, I think, is because it's the NFL, it's the biggest league on earth. So I do believe. Communist China ain't getting a division game. You don't know that. I'm not going to go after you all your life. They might play a football game in fucking Tiananmen Square before the end of the deck. Let's go to Mount Fuji, though. I mean, Japan would be cool. Everybody's overreacting. It's good for the game. Oh, we're overreacting about the division stuff? The division stuff. Can't half-dog that. I'm good with that. I'm playing now, granted. Colts played the Jags in London. Well, that one doesn't count. What was the last time they bet? Oh, that's disgusting. But what if it's a Jacksonville game? All right. Colts had a one in Jacksonville. All of a sudden, you know what? Let's take it to France. And then you guys might win. All right, we're talking about the world. We're talking about sport. Remember, more sports in the world is good. Agreed. I stand by that. I don't think they should have worded it. Like, hey, the big rivalry game that we all look forward to in the cities that used to have city rallies to go hate the other team, they should have said in there that they're not going to take those. They should have said that. Bill's Chiefs in Moscow, Saimeo. See, that's your problem. You don't think Panthers, Falcons over there could do the trick? That's fine. I don't love that. I would have seen you. That's fine. We'll allow that. Allen, Mahomes, the Kremlin, show me. Show me something, Rod. Putin would score three tuds. I mean, we understand that would take place. But we just think sports for the world is good. But we would like to keep the reason why the sport is potentially beloved, why the sport is beloved. You can't be taking the rivalry matchups and traveling them around the world. Remember, this is the guy who wants a Super Bowl internationally. That's not what I said. I made some stomach points as to why it would make a little bit of sense. And I think what he was trying to say is for the good of society, we need more ball. Oh, the world doesn't need football? Yeah, exactly. Exactly. Football tells such a beautiful story. It does. Any body shape can become a professional. Anybody can play. Any socioeconomic status, any political affiliation can play football. Now, with flag, it makes it much easier, as opposed to the pads. And it's going to take a little bit for some of these countries to buy into ball. But I'll tell you, if they get a chance to see the Arizona Cardinals and the Miami Dolphins, take each other, I think they're going to love the game. I think we need to appetize our first before we start sending the stake in there. Like Niners Rams, that's crazy. That's bullshit. But Australia, from watching Aussie rules, football and from their culture. And they also have Aussies that have been in the NFL, so they know the sport. I think that country is ripe to falling love with American football. So I appreciate us taking a game there, which can't be taken in a big one. These nations made their bed when they picked soccer and cricket and rugby and shit. He missed it. They had their chance. They could have been a football country many, many years ago. They made the wrong choice. Boys, wait. What are you talking about? They made their bed. What were you living, 100 years ago? Now they got asleep in it. Those countries probably watched Panthers Dolphins and said, why would I ever watch this again? We got to send some of our head honchos over there. OK, Carson Wentz needs to play in all of these games. I'm good with that. I'm good with that, too. All right, we'll continue. He's the global QB. James and Carson are always the quarterback of the teams that go over there. Let's talk about actual global game and global competition. Sure. Ladies and gentlemen, it's time to make a massive announcement in the golf world. Everybody knows the Ryder Cup, which is USA versus Europe. The President's Cup, which is coming right up this fall, is the United States of America against the world excluding Europe. We lost to Europe. We're going to get their ass next time. But we have a chance on redemption in the President's Cup to really claim stake to the golf game yet again. But if we lose to the world, dark days ahead in the optimism. A man who's been tasked with being the captain of the President's Cup team, fresh off a Myrtle Beach win for the PGA a couple of weeks ago, and at one time, the 2007 PGA Rookie of the Year icon, Brian Stettiker. Yeah, Brian! Hey, man! How you doing, ball? Doing good, man. Thanks for having me. I'm still laughing about the last discussion. So bear with me here. Do you have anything to add? Because you are laughing. I mean, just the thought of Tiananmen Square getting brought up about the ball. I mean, I love these conversations. Wow, a huge fan. Thank you, captain. Thank you. Thank you. We appreciate that. We also appreciate the fact that you're leading the Lads in a redemption, hopefully, after what happened in the Ryder Cup against the world's golfers in the President's Cup. I believe today, massive day, because we're about to have the captain's assistants officially announced. Would you like to announce who will be joining you? And what are the jobs and the gigs of all of them? Yes, my first two assistant captains, some naming today, their job is to kind of keep me on task to make great sandwiches for the guys to kind of be the moral support for the team. Hell yeah. To help me not mess up, most importantly. But my first assistant captain is going to be Jim Jurick. Recently announced, 2027 Ryder Cup captain. So obviously, 225, he was the President's Cup captain. I've been Jim! Yeah. Jim's the best. He was a winning captain in Montreal last time we played the President's Cup. So have somebody with an experience on teams that can be extremely valuable. OK, love that. OK, so you've got Jim Jurick helping you out, not just making sandwiches, also sharing some game. Who else is a captain's assistant that will be leading us in this world battle of golf, the President's Cup? The previous Ryder Cup captain, Keegan Bradley, will be my second. Let's go, Keegan! Keegan! Keegan! Another couple of Northern lads here. I obviously appreciate the decisions that were made. And obviously, this is still a pretty far out. September, October, whatever the case is. And how do we feel that? September. How are we going to boat in this? Because I'm going to be honest. Europe had a lot more moxie when the Ryder Cup. Europe had a lot more fun. Europe obviously was making every single putt. Is it a battle of who's hot? Or what is your real goal to get this team back on top of the golf world? Yeah, I think you hit on the head. I think just trying to get these guys as relaxed as possible. These things are so stressful. Being part of a team, not wanting to let your team down, not wanting to let your country down. I think at times and years past, we've probably cared too much and probably put too much on ourselves. So I think my role as captain and using Jim and Keegan as helpers is to make sure these guys are as comfortable as possible, make sure we have a good plan in place, make sure the crowd's rocking. We're going to be in Chicago. What a great sports town. Don is going to be our biggest build out ever for President Scuffle on US soil. So it's going to be rocked. And we'd love to have you there kind of broadcasting for the week. So that that invitation is out there for you guys if you want to come up. But Chicago is a great sports town. So we're looking forward to having a great time. OK. Listen, if we're a part of American greatness, we certainly love that, especially in the sport world, as we can rally around the lads as they take on the world who will be rallying around them. No pressure. We're 13-1 in one of these things. OK. Not bad. Exactly. Pretty good. Let's go, Brent. We appreciate the fact that you're the captain. We're very thankful for the opportunity to potentially travel out there. We'll have to check the schedule. It is in the middle of football season. But if we can get out there, we certainly would love to celebrate what you, Keegan, Fjöric, and the boys will be cooking. Thank you for joining us, Brent. Congrats on the win just a couple of weeks ago. That had to be awesome. That had to feel pretty sweet. Yeah. Thanks to God. I got one for the old guys. It's nice to know you can still do this every once in a while. Hell yeah. Listen. I got this thing. This thing just makes every putt for me. Is that right? It does. I actually switched to it as well. So it's unbelievable. It helps me. It can help anybody. Why is this thing? Why am I putting good with this, though? Is there a reason? Like, what should I think about why it's working so well? Don't overthink it, Pat. I think that's a pretty good rule for you. It's not overthink anything. Smart. Let me smoke a little bit more. You know what that is, though? It's Brent Settiker. Yeah, Brent. That's good coaching. You hear what he did? Yeah. He's bringing that to the president's cup. Yep. Did we break the news about that two years ago that's coming up here in a year? I forget there was some golf news. We broke that Fjerk was going to be the captain of the 2025 one. In 2023 we broke that. Or 24 one, whatever it was. I remember. Yeah, you remember, we broke the news like 10 months ahead of time. And we were pumped because we were part of some news breaking golf. We like golf. We love golf. But then immediately as it happened, we were all like, man, we're not going to talk about this for a long time. No, and we didn't. But this, we will. Yeah. Keegs gets a chance to bounce back. Sned understands the program talking about Tiananmen Square. What? And then obviously if you're a Pittsburgh guy, let's go win. Let's beat the world. Exclude Europe. And in turn, the world excluding Europe. Good luck to you. We hope your golfers show up. Because you think Scotty's losing back to back international affairs. Yeah, right. Settiker's hat, did you see that thing? Oh, yeah. Yeah, looks sick. Those three letters mean so much. They're going to wait. Hell, yeah. A long time from now. We'll talk about that. We'll continue as Sports Center takes it over from here. We continue digitally. Goodbye. We only made one graphic with both captain's assistance on them. Sure. You guys saw that happening in real time? Yeah. Yeah. Because he wanted to give love and praise to each individually. And as he was doing that, I actually thought to myself, fuck, we should have definitely made two different graphics. But instead, got through the first one, love that guy, big wide show. Hey, Jim, congrats. And then as soon as he says Keegan Bradley, it's like, here they are, by the way. Here they are. Here they are. They wouldn't want to be on separate ones. They're a team. They're so close together that they would want to be next to each other on the graphic. That's the type of rally that we need. Because remember, the team, Europe Golf Team, is all on a group chat. Yeah, they were. A text for years. Singing songs, drinking beers, inside jokes. They're doing a lie. A lie, a lie, a lie. A lie, a lie. We got D-Shambo. Oh, yeah, speaking of D-Shambo. He has no voice going too. We got bad news for Liv. What? Liv Golf. Yeah. Anytime you do money projections on the Internet, you have no idea who has what information. OK, because our type of contract and deals that we've been a part of have been misrepresented for years online and in different publications and search engines and AIs and everything. Because if the information is out, it's just going to be assumed to be accurate, even though it might not be accurate at all. That is just our situation at all. Come out openly and said that's not the right number. OK, and it just continues to go. Anybody that you look up like what their net worth is, normally not going to be accurate because you have no idea what all they're a part of. And only things, these are all just like projected things. So it's hard to understand money and like the actual shit story with a business. Although they're saying, well, Liv, we need $250 million really soon. Hey, there's only a little bit of money left from the Saudi PIF Fund. And by the way, $250 million you give today, 20 months, we'll give you a return. I don't know if anything has been able to be able to become such a moneymaker so quickly. So I assume they have a great idea for this. But allegedly it's being reported that Liv needs $250 million, a quarter of a billion. Now. OK, we do now. And less than two years from now, you're going to be making money on that. I'm excited. I would like to see the pitch deck on that entire thing. I would like you possibly you. I would like to see the path to success that they have, because if they do have a path to success that they're saying within 20 months, which would be a crazy turnaround just for any company, any company that isn't headed by some massive AI tech company, $250 million turnaround profit from a company that is at damn near zero right now is an absurd. That's a very aggressive thing. Just from everything that we've experienced. Elon has done it 10 times. OK, so people think that that's just a natural thing because we see fucking Bezos and we see Elon and we see these fuckers that are at the Aria manual just got a fucking football team. You see these people that are at the top of these things that run a few businesses very well. We don't remember about all the other businesses that happen that do not do that. Turning a $250 million investment into a profit in 20 months is a very aggressive pitch. If that is what they are pitching, I would like to see what it is. Has to be a content play, obviously. Is a TV network deal now that the Saudi money isn't in there? They probably think that maybe it's easier to do. They have D'Shambrough, right? For now, that's the biggest thing is how many of these guys? How many like it's already kind of these guys already kind of exploring like Rambo is still there though. Yeah, but in the contrast, but is he is he already exploring going back to the PGA? Because like a lot of the I mean, if if that's the idea and this doesn't work, that's what I'm saying. So it's like if they get this investment or whatever, and then by the time they actually do get it and half of the guys who we know are playing on live right now have already started the process of going back to the PGA, then it's like, how is it going to be profitable? You're basically holding on to the fact that we have Ram, we have D'Shambo. And then if those guys go like, what do you have? You know what I would do? Okay. And this is just me talking spitball in here. I have Cam Smith, Rambo, Bombo, D'Shambo. Who else? Phil? Yeah. Phil, okay. I'm going to do something right now. What are you bombo? All the people that I've we've heard of, I would just have them play against each other at different courses. Mike Dopp, prime time golf. Yeah, that's what I would do tonight. That's the only way. And I'm having them play against each other at actual courses. They're wearing, they're doing, we're doing a golf broadcast. I would just take the stars, turn them into playing golf against each other. They have their own little league. You didn't even have some celebrities come through and play if you want to do some like TGL on actual golf courses. Yeah. Yeah. With celebrities. With like, I think, and you can have the other guys golfing in there too. Like, fuck it, whatever you want to do. But the leaderboard needs to be all their big names. I need to be able to see golf carts and have to do something different. And now without the Saudi money, maybe somebody will pick that up. Well, I think we know who. Mike Rapoli. He doesn't give a fuck about that 20 months. You need to call him right now. And by the way, he'd probably love the TGL mix. Got to trim some of the fat that people really don't care about. Because to Ty's point, like we need to either get our hands on these contracts or find out exactly what it is. Because what Rom said made it seem like they're going to cut our hands off if we try and go back to the PTA. That was when Fifth was involved though. He's probably not as afraid to get out of his contract now. No, that was after a pair. I think he said that. If the league folds, he can leave before 2029, obviously. For sure. Yeah, because that would be, what's that called, whenever you breach? They would breach, sir. That would be a breach of contract. I mean, this would be the most like, as Pete, damn, would this be a seismic situation if they figured this out and turned it around, don't you think? Yeah, I would like to see what the pitch is. I would love to be in there just watching that unfold. Hey, because you see it in Shark Tank, obviously. That's real life. That is how shit actually gets done. Normally, it's not just multiple people that are saying they're usually, it's one company. You go in there and you're selling, there's questions, they're asking, boom, there's activity, there's that whole thing. Getting up there and saying, this is what we think we can turn away. This is what we need 250 million for, OK? This guy, we're offering some crazy contracts to these guys. This guy's owed 180 million. Yeah. Like, what if that is the case? We owe this guy $75 million over the next year or something like that. That's probably a big part of the problem for them. Yeah. That's why they need the massive amount of money. But we think if we keep them, we'll be able to generate amount of money if we invest this much at 250 million in 20 months. The amount of people that probably said, OK. Yeah. Everyone they've mentioned that to so far. Yeah, OK. But I would like to see what the idea was. Like, I would like to see what the idea is. Like, how can you really improve or change? Like, I mean, is that enough if they go to prime time golf and we have a bunch of these guys who aren't what they used to be? Like, is that enough to completely save this thing? Like, it feels like we already got the announcement like, live is dead. This thing is done. And wait a minute. Wait a minute. No, it's not. No, it's not. We're going to pump some more cash into this thing. We're going to tweak a few things and we're going to be right back where we said we would. We need a little bit more of the cash to pump into this thing. Possibly you giving us that as we continue to go. Golf's great. YouTube golf has become a very viable business for a lot of different companies creating content. So maybe they got a content strategy, man. So, yeah. Remember D. Shambos chip over his house? Oh, yeah. We do see that. So five billion. Taj Mahal. Five billion wasn't enough, but 250 is going to get it done. Yep. Different leadership, different decisions, different ideas, different content. Still golf, but louder. Maybe YouTube doesn't. They should go play at like Munis. And have these guys shoot like 57, 56. Put lights in the courses. Yeah. Booth. Night. Bryson was doing breaking 50 at the latest major, but on the front nine. Booth. Tony. Darn. Okay. The numbers. That was taken from the internet. Okay. I mean, at some point, everything that's ever been said has been said by somebody on the internet. I mean, that is a real thing. I do appreciate the position that we are in though. Every once in a while, you got that from blah, blah, blah. It's like, okay. I definitely did because I'm a huge fan of that person. I have a lot of time to see everybody else's shit. Yeah. Actually, it went that long on the outside. Searched that person's account. But on that note, I am honored that human potentially said the same thing that I said. And I often wonder if other people that said something I said, they get bummed out about, you know. Hey, you know, Pat kind of said, say, fuck, hate that guy. Fucking hate that guy. I wonder if that happens in the world that we're in, you know. I do. Yeah. We're going to be around a lot of these people. Mm hmm. We're going right into the belly of the beast. Yeah. Not the feral. No, no, the feral swarm. No, we kind of are the feral swarm. Yes, we kind of are a little bit. Yeah, because they did bait us. Yeah, they have kind of baited us. They've kind of baited us in there. That's gonna be a big deal next week, AJ. I'm actually very intrigued on how it all goes. Honored, honored. You want to tucks? Yeah, see, what do we do here? You know, because there's the stories of like what the South Park guys did the first couple of that. That was my real line. Yeah, it's biz cash, I believe. It's biz cash. It's going to be a good show, I assume, right? This is about shows. You just saw YouTube is streaming it. OK, here we go. Yep. Sports Amis is what we're talking about. It's the first time I think we've really even mentioned that. ESPN, Mike Foss, more specifically. Foss Tabas. That's what they say. He's kind of on a run right now. A little bit. Housing is kind of hit right now. Oh, yeah. Heater housing, I believe, is what you could potentially be calling all that. But Foss, I think. So I don't want to sound like a dick, but the awards thing. I feel like if you have a job and you're able to talk about sports and make a living like that's an award, I feel like that's enough of an award. And then when I find out that the awards are you have to self submit, like you have to say like, hey, and pay and like be we would like to be awards. That made me feel just kind of like uncomfortable with the whole thing. Like so I'm telling a bunch of people who for a long time, if they have not been the biggest fans of how we we operate at all openly, I think a lot of them have said that and acted in that particular fashion. So it just felt weird that we have to like kind of submit to potentially win from these people. Like it was just a weird thing. I didn't like it. I didn't like how how it all went down. I didn't like how invested a lot of people got because it felt like they were getting their hearts broken when I'm like, hey, I think you do a good show. I don't think you should be as bummed out as you are. And then the people that win, obviously we were pumped for how happy they were. But then it's also like, does this mean it? Like, I don't know what it means. So Foss, the boss, he's the one that submitted us, which we appreciate Foss doing that because what has come is a very cool like moment for a lot of us. It's like, hey, it's cool that our peers, I guess, would be in this thing. Have said like, hey, welcome to the biz almost, you know, in their own way. Now, do we think it's taken a long time? And has the road been very difficult to kind of see eye to eye with these particular people? Yes. But it is very cool that we're getting acknowledged. You know, if that makes sense, even in the nomination for the award, and if we were to win, that'd be outrageous. But I do fear that we're going to be walking into a place that is going to be buzzing there a little bit. And on that note, we ride in there. We should be right. That's gonna be a good time in there. We should be riding in there correctly dressed as well. It's not business casualized. Texas Foss, it is suits. Yeah, that would make sense. I did see some people look very dressed up. The suits thing would make sense, but I was at a super suit event a couple of weeks ago. Wasn't as terrible as I thought it was going to be. That was crazy. Yeah. And that was a pretty eye-opening experience. So, wow, these people aren't just like the absolute worst, I guess, all the time. That's pretty cool. I had a couple of drinks with these things. They were great. It was incredible. Yeah, usually, yeah. Once you meet people and you hang out with them for a little bit, you're like, all right, they're cool. I enjoy being around. Yeah, I kind of liked being in Indianapolis and not really knowing any of you, just kind of nameless faceless suits. You know, that was a little bit better for my view. But once you get to me, these things have personality. Yeah. You know, I love when you call them. They love when you say these things. Yeah. They understand what I'm saying. They know who they are, too. They know exactly who they are. They know who they are. And we appreciate them now. You know, a lot more than maybe we did years ago, but we are walking right into their little suit Super Bowl award show. And we should dress for the occasion. Classy. Toxida t-shirt, for sure. Yeah, probably. I mean, there's no way I'm wearing a tie. I was just going to wear a black shirt with a coat. But here we are. And I'll wear the Toxida t-shirt. I'll play the fucking game. Look at us. Huh? We're trying. I think we're trying. I suppose. We're going to have a great time. I think. I ain't talking to him. I know that. I know that. You're going to have to. Yeah, we're talking to them. Talking to all of them. We'll see. Man, this is maybe this is all of Branch. Feels like it could. They should have convention to present an award. You should shut the fuck up. That's why you should. How about that? Fosso. But get on with Fosso. Fosso boss. That's these people. Fosso boss. That's what they call you, huh? Housing is awesome, by the way. He is. What a character. Thank fucking God that the Knicks won last night after his entire, because Bruce was actually worried. I retweeted the house. I retweeted this and I was in my office on a call. I retweet this, this particular post. I get a text from Bruce is like, Hey, I think you accidentally reposted that. And I didn't know what it was like 10 minutes later, five minutes later. I didn't know what the post. I was like, Oh fuck, what was what was it? It was this tweet. I was like, what? I thought he was on your side, Bruce. Bruce has the housing mask. I mean, Bruce. Oh, yeah. Yeah, Bruce and housing is really all in right now. The housing. Knicks fans love him from my understanding. This is a good time to be the housing in New York. Yeah, we're all fucking housing out in New York. Shout out him. I was a big housing mask. I thought he's like staying. Looks like a three ninjas. That's a three ninjas. Actually cursed, cursed in the Cavaliers. So we're all late on Dan Hasen. We're all late on. And yeah, Knicks and four. Let's fucking go. Knicks and four may be housing big night for him. Yeah, huge. Look at him. This guy's going to be courtside. He's going to be sitting with Timothy Shalvay. Good for you, Hasen. Good for you, Hasen. He's in New York for the New York Knicks on first take yesterday. Oh, yeah. Do you see that? That was, uh, housing's in the building. In an hour. There's a good, he's got a good brain, too. I appreciate the way Hasen's brain operates. I also like that Bruce is all in. He wanted to kill Hasen yesterday whenever he was talking about the Knicks a little bit and then he learned, oh, wait, wait, wait. Yeah. The second I saw him on NBA today, I was like, holy shit, he better not. I'll fly there. I'll kick Dan Hasen's ass and I'll fly. Dan Hasen. I won't even go. You don't want to do that, Bruce. Yeah, don't worry. The Miz is on it, brother. The Miz got to be heartbroken. Yeah. Was he tweeting or when they were up big or anything last night? Yeah, here is. Good thing there are no curses and tonight we'll prove it. Also, it's one thing to put fake curses on me, but my team, I will end you. The Miz doesn't know you actually cursed the calf. So just kind of took a little bit of time to get there. It was late in the fourth quarter housing and then it kind of really went crazy for him. The Miz is saying that there's no curses. There's people coming out and saying there's no mon reading. What? Those people are wrong. That's a thing. That's bull. Yeah, it's big bull. I will say. Big Boog's bull. I will say. Hilarious, hilarious. Will Compton situation. Yes, yes, it is. What's that fucking guy's name? Bryce. What's his name? Just for it. Bryce, that's what it is. And he looks it up and then no, it's Breece. You fucking that's not the guy. It's the other guy in the moment. Will knows too. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. We'll meet because we'll had a full embarrassment moment for himself whenever he couldn't remember Reese's name. So that entire moment now becoming this entire thing about this guy isn't actually picking up his soul and getting inside your brain, believe it or not. It's like, OK, all right, we got it. Well, the fucker's good. Yeah, yeah. And if you get to the point that you have people breaking down what you're doing in super slow mo, that means your gimmick has worked. Agreed. So congratulations to Oz. They're coming for you. They are coming for you. Back down the hatches. But the gimmick, the gimmick worked. I think that is that is the only way you could describe that is if they're coming for you like this and they're exposing it like the the mass magician came out whenever there was somebody who was really hot in streets back in the day. I forget it was magic was getting real hot, real hot, real hot. And then the mass magician came out was like, let me tell you why everything you're looking at is bullshit. And I watched it because I love magic. And it was like, wow, they're actually just doing that this entire time. And then you have to kind of like bury that. Like, nope, nope, don't let that kind of be the thing. So you could suspend reality whenever you go back to a magic trick here in planet Earth, you know. So I've always done that. But Oz were fucking watching you now. Yeah. He ain't getting away with any of this shit no longer. And there are still things that like we couldn't explain. Like there are still multiple things that and I get that asked by David, but there are still things that he did just even behind the scenes that we couldn't kind of even figure out what he was doing after my credit card number. Yeah, you're credit card. Rogan's credit card number. Rogan's. How did he know the draft order? Yeah, like he has a draft order. Yeah, birthdays, just names and contacts of phones. Like there are still things that is impressive. But yeah, that gimmick, unfortunately does seem as though people are out on that part of well, congrats Oz. And baby, maybe Oz might be good for book sales. Yeah, maybe he can write a tello. What did we think he was doing? You know, I told him he's great. He's great at what he does. He's he's awesome. And he's very skilled. He's but like, yes. Charming. Oh, what does AJ say? Funny. AJ, you've always been a doubter. No, a doubter of what that he's an alien. Like we call him an alien and everything, but it's called magic. It's called illusions. Are there tricks? It's he's a man. We don't know how we don't know how they do. I think that's the problem. He calls himself a mentalist. That's what started this whole snowball going. No, the little buddy making a five hour video. What was that mentalist on America's got talent to two ladies, the lady and the guy. She was going to. I love Matt. I'm people probably know this about me now. I mean, you do amazing. I don't know how you put that. You took that. I don't know how you make that. I thought he was a mind reader. That is the same. That's not what you guys thought. I thought he was a mentalist. I thought he jumped up into my brain and got me a couple of different times, but I am a I'm a big time magic fan. Like if I'm in New York or one of these cities and there's a magic show, that is good. I don't want to go to some fucking little kid one. But if there's like a good magician, that means you're about to watch somebody execute some shit at a pretty high level in front of a live audience. I'll go watch it. I enjoy trying to figure it out is all anybody's doing while they're watching magic tricks. Have we all caught people before in magic? Yes. But I think that's kind of a part of magic. You know, it's just like, yeah, he's doing a stick right now. He's doing his shit right now. Is he able to execute it? Oz was for a long time. He was. He had fucking NFL quarterbacks thrown a ball at the different numbers for pinned codes. It's crazy, too. Play that, AJ. Yeah. Think about how we piece that together. I don't know. Do you watch Penn and Teller fool us? You ever watch that? I have seen some of that. Yeah, I saw a good amount of that. Yeah. Watching them call out other magicians for what techniques they're using that are like kind of inside behind the thing was funny. Like and then if they actually tricked Penn and Teller was like full. So it's like, I think magicians have always been able to tell folks what other magicians are doing. Executing it, I think is the big difference. Like John Dohrm boss, the long-stamper, formerly of the Eagles. Then he goes down to the Saints. They find out during a physical that his heart was basically about to something shut down. He gets emergency heart surgery. He comes back. He was on Ellen. He was America's Got Talent. He was he was awesome. His story was fantastic as well. Talking to him about what other people were doing was that was an enlightening time in my life because I was started. This show almost began every day with me popping up, popping up out of nothing. You know, like that is almost how a couple of these shows started. Oh, we can definitely make that happen. Yeah. Let me call Bob and the boom to bang it up. How it's like, that's kind of the that's the bitch. Yeah. Now wrestling. They work at it though. They work out. I've talked to him a dude who practiced a trick for a year and a half before they even do it publicly. Yeah, exactly. So we still got a master's back. Good luck. So good luck. Good luck. Keep doing it. Oh. I think he's going to go through it a little bit though. Yeah, just start running. Do the marathon thing. How does he run 100 miles in a day? Can't can't freaking joke your way around that one. Yeah, that better not be for gaze. You know what they're saying about Frank Abagnale? Catch me if you can. Oh, what's that? The rat made it up the fucking snitch because he did all that stuff. And then the kind of first opportunity you said, I'll go for it. Yeah. Oh, business opportunity. I mean, he was he was protecting businesses is what he was doing. He got provided opportunities. Yeah. But what they are saying is potentially his hustle is creating and faking an entire hustle. That's good. Very good little hustle. Yeah, without a doubt. I was flying around flight attendants forging checks and things. Really? Yeah. It's unbelievable. Make a movie. Yeah. Spielberg made a movie. 10 million, 20 million. It's a good hustle if that is the case. Oz had a good hustle. Yeah. No. Make the Oz movie. Not a hustle. Guys, real. Just because some guy that want to pull it. Says he's not. Bullets are pretty big. Are they giving those out at this thing and then we're going to next week? I don't think so. We better get one. I don't. I don't. I don't think so. I think so. I don't think so. All right, let's get the hell out of here. Appreciate you all so much. I think we covered everything that needed to be kind of covered in the sports world. PGA championship, big numbers, sports up and to the right. Yeah. That's all you need to know. Sports are continuing to deliver, which is fantastic for all of us. We obviously, everybody that knows us knows that we are sports people. We fucking love sports, but we think there's a lot of reasons to love sports. No matter what the competition is, watching people have to show up and show out for a moment that they've worked their ass off for. Completely exposed, completely vulnerable for the audience to kind of see them go through the ups and the downs, willing to risk it all, their name, to go ahead and become or try to find some greatness. It's beautiful. Shout to sports. Shout out. I went that fucking golf thing. What is I'm about sick of these emails from this guy. No, it's tough. You didn't. Days almost. Hey, we got two more though. All it takes is one. Sounds like this is a bigger scam than fucking breaking. I can't. I can't break the top 60 in that. I came in third. I was going to say, we got a couple guys out of 150 or whatever. Third. I have a top five finish as well. Yeah. So we were looking at the FedEx couple points right now and the kind of chance there's three or four of us in the top 25 in the year standings. Three or four of you. Who are they? Me, Connor. Ty and Foxy. Connor, you finishing in top 10 in this thing. I don't know if I have a top 10, but I'm consistently top 30. Foxy, you're in this thing as well. Obviously, it's your kind of club league. Yeah, I'm doing okay. So the key for people that don't know you pick six golfers, you got to have five guys make the cut. And I've done that in every single tournament but one. So I'm doing okay. I'm not out of it. Yes. I fucking need JJ's bond to pick it up. He was the one that did make it. Yeah, he killed me. Yeah, me too. So that's the bottom of the barrel here. Everybody has a price and you're only allowed to spend a certain amount of money. 15 grand or something like that. I forget what it is. 10 grand. What is it? 50. 50, okay. Everybody has a price and then you got to pick like three golfers that don't have a high price value on them. Right. It's like, how the fuck do I know? Yeah, like Scotty Roy 11 and 10.9 and then like Rahm. Got to take Scotty. He did better than that. What's that? You did better than Nick. Love that. Yeah, I had blocky on my team. What? Love of the game. Be a frontel, friend, something nice. We might change the life when we're sitting together. Appreciate you all so much. We're back tomorrow. Western Conference finals. 10 night. Let's pick these games actually. Here we fuck. AJ at eight o'clock. Hockey starts. Golden Knights Avalanche. Who do you like? How do you like it? Give me the biggest Golden Knights. I feel like I'm this one. It's being the underdog. OK, I'll take the Avalanche at home without McCarr. See how it goes. Go ahead, Tom. That line went from minus 192 to the Lanch. It's all the way down to 175. Currently, it just moved again now that McCarr is out. OK, so the favoritism is bouncing a little bit there at home. It should be a buzz saw. Who's on the Avalanche here? We'll see pregame. OK, I like the Avalanche. Let's go to the 830 NBA tip of the Western Conference. Wemby takes on Oklahoma City. Favorit by 6 and 1 half. Has that changed? Yes, it was 7 and 1 half now. 7 and 1 half now. AJ, who do you like? How do you like it? You know what? I got to take the Thunder here. I'm taking Thunder to win and cover. I feel like they rebound. Give me the Spurs, baby. Be a friend, tell a friend something nice. It might change your life. We're in this thing together. Team on me, team on three. One, two, three, team. Goodbye.
