So let me take it from here. Chores are not a job. I learned this too. We don't do chores because we're getting paid. We do chores because we're part of a family. That's right, and families work together. Just like teams, like businesses, like leaders do in the world. That's so good, Destiny. Oh, Daniel, darling, is it time for the story of the day? Absolutely, Destiny. Start off the time machine. It's time to rewind the clock. Hold on tight, Legacy Leaders. Three, two, one. Oh my goodness, oh my goodness, what happened? I don't think we went back in time. You're right, Destiny. because today friends the time machine brought us somewhere else it brought us to your home oh okay friends imagine this you walk into your house after a busy day the shoes are in a messy pile outside of the door It might feel small It might feel boring but something important is happening That right When you clean your room you're learning ownership. When you put things away you're learning order. That's right friends. When you put things away you're learning order. And when you help without being asked you're learning initiative. So why do chores come before money? Here's the key lesson legacy leaders. In the real world adults don't get paid for basic responsibility. You don't get paid for showing up on time. You don't get paid for doing what's expected. And you sure don't get paid for being respectful. Those are baseline. And for us kids, chores teach us the habits that make us valuable. Chores train skills quietly. Cleaning builds discipline. Helping in the kitchen builds teamwork. Organizing builds systems thinking. And those skills stack. They don't disappear, they prepare you for success. Once you have skills, that's when service begins. Like helping someone outside your regular responsibilities. That's when efforts turn into value. And that's when money can sometimes come into the pixel Voila, Destiny! You nailed it on the head Money doesn't reward existence It rewards extra value Doing more than expected Helping where help is needed Solving problems others are grateful for That's the difference between chores and business And that's why we don't get paid for chores in our house. Because these are things we won't get paid for as adults either. That was an amazing story, friends. I'm glad we didn't go too far on the time machine today. Me too. So what did we learn today, friends? We learned that chores build responsibility. Responsibility builds skills. Skills help others. Helping creates value. And value is what comes before money.
