Hosts discuss the Real Housewives franchise across multiple cities, focusing on Atlanta's season 17 premiere with new cast members K Michelle and Pinky, Beverly Hills' escalating conflict between Kyle, Dorit, and Erica, and Rhode Island's dramatic energy. The episode explores casting decisions, production logistics, and the sustainability of Bravo's content volume.
Insights
- Viewer fatigue from content oversaturation is affecting engagement quality even with highly anticipated franchise premieres
- Authentic relationship dynamics are more compelling than performative friendship narratives, particularly when cast members appear scripted
- Production crew respect and budget management are critical factors in evaluating cast professionalism and reliability
- Personal hardship and stress can explain but not excuse unprofessional behavior on set, requiring nuanced evaluation
- Established friendships with multi-season history carry more weight and credibility than newly formed alliances

And we are back. I'm here with guest co-host Christian Grey Snow. And my God, what a data record. I feel like we have been given the gift of so much Bravo. You know what I actually just realized yesterday, which I feel like I need to apologize for? I haven't seen a single second of the Valley. I didn't want, it didn't even occur to me to watch. They had great ratings though. They had great premiere ratings from what I could tell. Did they? Yeah. So this is one of those moments of like, I mean, you can't ever make a Bravo Holic happy, but I actually feel like this is too much tuna. Like, oh, I'm actually like slow your fucking roll a little bit. Right. Like I mean, I didn't even get to watch Atlanta until I watched it yesterday. I watched Atlanta Monday just cause I was like, I had both episodes of Rhode Island that I was watching. And then it was just, and I wanted to watch them a couple of times just because it's like it's all new women, like the names. And you know, I just wanted to get familiar with them and the story and make sure I'm not missing anything. But I also wanted to make sure I could give Atlanta their time to, you know, like and not rush it. But I mean, Sundays are, don't fucking talk to me on Sundays for the next six months is all I can say because I'm busy. You know what I'm saying? Sorry, I'm not going to church either. Sorry, we got stuff to do, you know? We've got stuff to do. Happy Easter by the way. Happy Easter, happy payback, happy all the things. Yeah, there's a lot to unpack. And also this is very clearly, I mean, not Bravo's fault, but the fact that Summer House has been like a stranglehold of conversation makes everything worse. I'm not complaining, but I'm just saying like that has taken up so much real estate in the unlimited amount of room left in my brain. 100%. That is made up of, you know, Chris Manzo and Pedro Pascal plus Peacock day after episodes that I just don't have the capacity. I have no idea. I saw a thing about like Lala something and Luke and like sperm or whatever. Yeah, I can't even, my friend tried to talk to me about that on the phone and I like, I just pretended I didn't hear him. I was like, I have way too much going on right now. Like that is, there's just, I, if I wanted to deal with paternity, I would watch Maury. Oh, Maury. You know, love him. Sweet, sweet Maury Povich, you know. Sweet Maury Povich. Like we gotta love Maury, but you know, I just, it's just, there's a lot. And the words of Mary Cosby, whoo, a lot going on. There is. Listen, what a way to transition into talking about the real housewives of Atlanta, season 17 premiere. What was your energy going in and how did you feel about, you know, the first episode? So I couldn't have been more excited going in. I feel like I've just missed, I've missed the girls so much. I've been like, I did wish that Shirei was back a little bit. I will, I will die. If there is one person fighting for Shirei Whitfield, just know that I'm still fucking thriving and breathing. Okay. And it is me. I don't care that she lies her ass off. I don't give, to me, she's the funniest person in the world next to Vicki. I think that she is hilarious. Anyway, so I did want her back. I want her to have like a friend role or something. I was a little upset with that Kenya didn't get to come back or whatever all that was. But I was very, very, very excited to welcome K Michelle, Pinky, I'm like, this is a good energy for sure going forward. Anything that has Cynthia on it will obviously get my stamp of approval. I would cheat bones for life. It was a good premiere. I'll, I just, maybe I was, it wasn't as hype as I was kind of hoping for. And again, this could be a me issue. This could be viewer error, because as we were just discussing, I'm inundated with shit right now. And so like I, I don't know, was I mentally present when I watched it? I thought I was, but maybe I wasn't. You know what I'm saying? So I don't want to say that the premiere, it wasn't that it wasn't good by any means. It was good. Like I think K Michelle's setup was absolutely incredible. Drew is really being messy out the gate. You know, Shamia had a mullet. I mean, there was a lot going on. Oh my God, K Michelle talking about the man with the ring light. I don't know what it was, but she was like, this man has a ring light on FaceTime. That was the, that was the line of the episode for me. I don't know why. I don't know. Like my friend watched it before I did. And I was like, okay, out of a 10, what would you give it? He said a 7.5. And I was shocked that he said a 7.5, cause I would have thought he'd easily say 8.59 just because we were both so excited. And then when I watched it, I kind of agreed, maybe a 7.5, but I'm, it's not that it's bad at all. It just, it wasn't the 8.5, 9, like hype, like pop off energy start of the season that I maybe was hoping for. But also all of the women have consistently been saying that they feel that this is one of the best seasons ever. So I have fully, fully believed them. I don't, you know, I, again, I just think that we're tired. There's a lot going on. So I don't know if I could fully, you know, bring myself in that moment. Cause I told you, I didn't watch until Monday. So it's just like, it was, there was just a lot of shit going on. But I am very excited to see Kay Michelle on this show. I think she's a perfect fit. I think that she just, she just blends in like perfectly seamlessly as far as the conversation goes, the story goes, like it seems the women obviously know her, has some of work with her. Her confessionals are incredible. Like I said, the man with the ring light, you know, that man should change his Instagram name to man with the ring light for sure. But yeah, that's kind of where I'm at. Also too, it was a little interesting to me with Portia introducing the man, the romantic like connection when she and Sway are like public now, so it was just kind of like seeing like a backtrack type of thing. I don't know. I feel like I'm not explaining myself well as to why, but it was just, I don't really know. I did not dislike it by any means. There was just something maybe that wasn't as exciting as I was hoping, if that makes sense. I feel bad even saying that. Well, I mean, I think there's a very high expectation for Atlanta. It's one of the strongest housewives franchises, the most consistent, the funniest. I mean, they've really, the really true first breakout into the greater pop culture. I think you can tap straight back from, you can see the line straight back into like, what broke the zeitgeist, Linithia leaks, everything going on in Atlanta. You can connect that directly to real housewives of Atlanta to the way that Bravo I think really started to go viral. I think it was like a really bright episode. And I'm not like hedging my bets here, bullshitting. I genuinely liked the saturation and the focus on color and brightness. There was an energy there. Even when Shamia was talking about this sort of strategic friendship with Kelly, when she had BFF behind her, I thought, oh, this is fun. Like the editing was great. The stuff with Simon as a ghost during the fake nuptials, very funny. The editors, like, I was like, y'all are having too much fun in that editing, babe. Y'all need to calm down. The ghost shit was crazy. But that's the thing with Atlanta is like it's genuinely a funny show. I have no doubt that the producers are very funny, that the editors absolutely are very funny. Obviously the cast is number one. I don't, I think everything sort of gets referred to as a soft reboot, which is unnecessary. They have two new full-time members of the cast. I do think that Kay Michelle was the MVP overall of the episode. I loved her confessionals. I liked her energy, the way that she was vulnerable, talking about like hashtag like mean girl bullying that she's experiencing in Atlanta. There was a part of me that was like, oh my God, welcome to Housewives. This is gonna be maybe a bumpy ride, but... I was like, baby, get the tissues. The Candace teacher had to do a cry angle. She'd go need it, baby. You know what I'm saying? I mean, entirely possible, but I loved her. I loved her energy. Pinky we saw less of because there wasn't as much a focus, but I thought she seems really awesome too. I haven't been to Sleddy Vegan, but I've heard great things. So it's like, and I know that she's also kind of going through it in real time with some like bankruptcy stuff that I think we saw maybe in the teaser for the season. I think that does maybe come up, or maybe I was watching an interview that she did. I honestly can't remember, but really curious to get more into it. Obviously she's an extremely successful business person. So I wanna hear more about that. I mean, honestly, I don't know if it was just me and maybe this was on purpose and I'm like an idiot, but the kind of switch to somebody walking and like sitting on a couch and they press play and then they turn around. Oh yeah. I thought that was Porsche. So when it turned out it was Cynthia, I was like, oh shit, you got me. Like I really liked the beginning. The only thing is this isn't a criticism. I thought it was like a really bright, fun episode. There wasn't drama and that's okay. And I, the Debbie Downer way of looking at the casting, it's the best episode is like, is it because there wasn't a lot of conflicts? It was like easier to do and you guys had fun. But you know what? There are seasons of shows, I think of OG New York, although those always had a lot of conflicts, but where the cast is genuinely vibing. I wanna see people who want to hang out. So if this is a quote unquote fun season, I'm okay with that. I'm okay with that too. I think of the counter of Rhode Island where everybody's losing their fucking mind. So it wasn't dramatic. I couldn't explain it because I was like, I don't know what it is, but it's like, and also it wasn't a problem by any means. It was just different than what I expected. I don't know, you know? And maybe you're right. Maybe that's why all the women are saying that they think this is the best season they've ever had because it's a different, it was a different experience for them, you know? Yeah, the other part of it is, I don't really know how to feel about Shamiah because when her first episodes last season began, I was like, oh my God, breakout star, incredible confessionals, and then something just shifted. So the fact that she and Kelly have become close, and Kelly, I think, excellent casting, a lot of fun, but also like very much full of BS, like the fact that they have aligned, I'm like, oh, okay, this does make sense. I have to just show you this text to my friend last night. He was at Lord. Oh wait, I can't read it. What does it say? I can't see. Where the fuck is my camera? It says... I texted my friend when he was at work. I said... I can't read it, I'm so sorry, it's out of focus. You read it, just tell us. I just said, you know who is annoying as fuck? I randomly texted, you know who's annoying as fuck? He said, I want to guess, give me hints. I said Atlanta, he goes, Shamiah. Yeah. She's... What happened? I don't like her. What happened? I used to like her. I just feel like she thinks it's like a bit, like it's like a skit or something. Like I'm like, girls, stop reading the script, stop. The acting out the phone conversation type thing. I was like, it just... I don't even, again, I feel like I don't know how to, how to put it into words. Like I don't know, it just doesn't, you know what, it doesn't feel authentic, number one. That it doesn't feel authentic, it feels put on. But I'm interested in, you know, cause to me I didn't really know what it was. I'm just like, well, I'm not vibing with her right now. I'm not, and I was so excited when she signed on full time last season, you know? But she, by the end of the season, though I was kind of like, what is going on? You know, and, but yeah, this season, and then the whole Kelly BFF thing, I'm sorry. That shit feels so fucking fake. Like, you know what I'm talking about? If you got to talk about, we're watching each other's kids and stuff, it's like y'all are trying to prove a fucking point. Is how it felt to me. And I'm sorry not to be hateful, but I think that we could have added a little bit back to the production budget for maybe a potential extra cash trip or something with Kelly's salary. Oh, you don't like Kelly on the show at all? I just don't think that with the Will House full like, of a cast that we have now, powerhouse of a cast that we have now, I don't necessarily think that she is needed. I don't. I think that like her, it's going to be just her being Shamiah and each other's yes man, that's what it's going to be. Like they clearly came in with an agenda against like Portia, or Kelly is anyway. And it's just like girl, please. I'm not against an agenda. I do think though that Portia clocked it pretty quickly. And I do also think it's helpful to have somebody who's like coming for Portia. Like that's a good energy to have. This is true, this is true. But the way that Kelly was doing it, I mean Portia was like, that's not any of your business. Like we're good, like stay out of it. Very clearly I do think she was kind of the messenger and it didn't work out. Which isn't ideal. I mean there's a comparison I can make in my head, but you're going to hate it. You're going to hate it. Which is it feels a little bit like what Kyle is trying to do with Amanda of like creating a soldier. So you have someone who's always going to go to battle on your behalf. Like I think that's a little bit of what we're seeing, which is kind of dumb, but also like credit to Drew that you didn't say Drew's salary should go on the trip. Like look how great Drew's doing. Like who would have thought Drew would be important to the show. I don't even mean that to be an asshole. Like maybe I do. I mean she's really grown on me. I have affection for her. No, going into last season, I was where I may, and maybe I'll like correct myself again at the end of this season. I was, I was, I viewed Drew the way that I kind of view Kelly now. Like it's like, yes, you fit into the story, but it's also like if we didn't have that storyline, we wouldn't be lacking, you know? And then, but by the end of the season, I was like Drew was the motherfucking MVP. Like Drew kept the show going in my opinion last season. So maybe, you know, maybe that will happen with Shamiah and I this season, you know, or Kelly and I this season. Actually, maybe I needed to happen with both of them because I'm really just not, I don't know. I think, can I tell you too, I think maybe it was just the BFF scene as to set it all off really just put, I was like, no. Like if y'all get this maybe in like episode two, but just like we hadn't even got inside the damn house yet and you're already fucking wearing BFF necklaces, you know what I'm saying? Like in the words of Vicky, whenever Tamara and Gretchen had their BFF bracelets back in the day, she goes, BFF's regression again. Like that's exactly, it just felt like it was very day one of filming, well, we got to be besties, you know what I'm saying? Like she had her, like it just was, I don't know. Again, inauthentic number one was, is the first thing that I felt watching it. But then number two, it just was like, can I tell you, at some point it's almost like, like it's insulting to like the intelligence of viewers too. You know, where it's like, we've been around the block and back 86 motherfucking times by this point, coast to coast, we've seen it all. We know what is bullshit, you know what I'm saying? Like the fact that you and I both came on and immediately were like, that's the one thing that we felt about their friendship was that it was just weird. Like we clocked that. So to me, it's like, don't you have more respect for yourself to go into this and not talk to people or put out a narrative that is going to be so quickly, not welcome and quite frankly, just proven. Because I think it will be proven that they're just, they're Hollywood friends in the words of Yolanda Hadid. Are you my real friend or you my Hollywood friend? I am all about a new beginning and not just because the real housewives of Rhode Island is finally here. It's taken me a minute to redesign my apartment into a space that truly feels like me. I feel, it's like, because isn't the argument that we constantly make like you wanna see women who want to hang out with each other. So how do you criticize two women who wanna hang out with each other except that it does feel a little, it feels a little performative, which- It's like, do they really wanna hang out with each other though? Is the question, you know what I'm saying? But I will say too, like, I love seeing, like to me, it always is a true testament to the relationship and a bond between two cast members when you see how their children engage with them and vice versa. And I mean, and that can be said from, I'm talking toddler to adult. Because how someone, the energy that one has and the respect that one has for friends of their parents says everything about what that relationship I think is like. Because that's what you hear when your mom talk about when the cameras are down or when the doors are behind closed doors, you know, we would say. And actually this, I did an episode with Teresa on my podcast that's coming out Friday. And my favorite part of the whole hour chat that we had was her saying the best thing that she has ever, ever, ever, ever had come from Housewives and all her 15 years is her friendship with Jennifer. And how she views Jennifer as like, their best. Why do my mind go to Pedranti? That's how little I think of Jennifer Aiden, that I literally was like, oh, she knows OZ. I was like, why are you looking at me like, I'm fucking crazy right now. I was like, did I say, I was like, I'm literally like, can we pause or replay? What the fuck did I say wrong? I was like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I think tuna for sandwiches before I think John Aiden. Well, so, but doesn't that, listen, this is gonna be a criticism. So buckle up. Doesn't that support the reason that you don't die for Shamiah and Kelly? Cause it feels like Shamiah has an intern. Isn't that the same energy that John Aiden gave Teresa and the rest of us? Like you're never gonna criticize her. Their friendship has been like long running now though. It's been like six, seven years. And it wasn't like off the heels of a reunion where it's like y'all immediately come back. I'm like, Kelly, when's the first time you was at Shamiah's house? That could have been the first damn time for all we know. But you're countering yourself cause you're saying the kids responded with such warmth and connectedness. No, I wasn't saying that they responded. I'm just saying in general, that is a testament to like how people interact with kids and stuff. That's how, like for example, like Shannon and Vicki, like when the first time I ever met Sophie, like she literally loves Vicki, like she goes up and hugs and like, it's so good to see. For me, you know, cause it was the first time I'd ever met Shannon too. I was like, wow, like they really, you know, there's a really special bond there. I did, not that I ever doubted it, but just seeing someone's children love and respect, you know, a friend of their parents shows that I'm like, okay, this is like, there are really genuine roots and connections here, you know? Now, Kelly, I did appreciate Kelly and Shamiah to talk about Kelly's daughter like going to college and stuff like that did feel real. I felt her emotions in that moment. Again, I don't know what it just, it's like, I want to like really ride hard for both of them, but there's just something that just feels like, I'm like, am I boarding like the facade train? Am I boarding like the, I don't know, like how real is this? You know what I'm saying? I don't know, but also too, I think it's just, like I said, Atlanta is stacked with their cast right now. They have a really big cast and I'm like, no disrespect to Shamiah and Kelly, but there's only so much time we can spend with every cast member, you know? And I was like, where's Portia? Where's Cynthia? You know, where is Drew? I need to find the fuck out of Ralph is out that basement yet. You know what I'm saying? Like, let's get to it. But again, and that's not their fault. That is a pacing decision from production as far as like the placement of scenes, all that stuff. Just something about it, I don't know, it wasn't resonating with my soul. You know what I mean? Yeah, I get that. And I also have to say, I mean, like the fact that we've been talking about Atlanta and not once has my queen, my personal deity. I'm a Fangela, I'm a Stangela. Angela scenes with Charles. Or she gets her episode cut this shit. We're starting the next third episode. Angela and Charles there, the chemistry, the comedy. The chemistry, the comedy. I know that the sex is fucking fire. I was the guy, when they was out there under that little cabana, I wanted to fucking go. I was like, pour me in the middle, dammit. I'll go both of you. The chemistry, you are just, yes, you are right. Like they, that is my man, my man, my man. That is her man. And but that is his, that's his woman too. Like you can tell they ride for each other. They are so like attracted to each other. You know what I'm saying? I mean, they're both very hot. So have at it. But Angela, I love her. What was life before we had Angela? You know what I'm saying? Like she should have been in Atlanta since day one in my opinion, you know? She is so good. And even when she fucks up, which she absolutely has BCC sort of the tail end of last season. I just, I love her so much. And the passive aggressive way she was like, check your water, make sure it's not cloudy cause editors are about to do a little clip package of you on an episode pretending you didn't want to marry me, which was- Executive producer Angela Oakley over here. Don't get it twisted. She's so good. And Charles, I think is, it's kind of like he gives both energies of like, I don't want to be here, but while I'm here, I'm going to have a blast. He just, his sense, his dry wit at that dinner. I was obsessed. I want him to read me for Phil. I want him to- Oh my God. I think his insulting and like little reads like that is his way of affection and love. Like that just shows that he's comfortable with you, I would think. I tear me up in more ways than one. Like I, just rip me a new one. I think that, and watching their banter back and forth too is so funny, you know what I'm saying? And again, sign up a good relationship in my opinion, just to be able to have that. It's, they're having fun. I feel like they have so much fun together, you know? Yeah. And I think she was under, and they were both under a lot of stress last season because of the real estate stuff. So the fact that they were able to like figure that out, I'm sure they took a big loss. I think I remember Angela talking about that at the reunion last season, but I do think that has helped kind of just take away some of the tension and they have a great dynamic. And also his kind of like a side, I think with Kaye Michelle, I was just kind of like, this is a great energy. Like I really like the cast energy right now. I'm just saying, like there wasn't a lot of drama, but also the, they were themselves deciding, we don't want to do this right now. Obviously Portia and Shamiya did not want to engage in that way. I do want to credit Shamiya because I did think the confessional of her miming the tax exchange with Portia, I did think that was very funny. So I was like, good for you. It's just that she's, she became at a certain point, her confessional, which is not what I want to see. And then she did, I feel like she didn't really take ownership of it, which is not me siding with Portia. It's just me, like I had higher expectations with Shamiya last season, cause I thought she came in so great. She did. That I was saddened that that energy didn't last. She was so celebrated when she came in those first few episodes. I thought deservedly so, she fucking killed it. And then something like mid season, just like, I don't know. It was just, I don't, it's almost like she got quiet in a way, like in a weird way, like in this, in the moments that we, that would have been impactful, I think to, to, to, to say things or, you know what I'm saying? Um, I don't know, but I'm, I've never been one. I don't, I'm not big on housewives, like with antics. Like, you know, that's why I used to, um, like when Drew used to do like the bones and stuff, like I hated that, I hated that shit, which she brought the dog bone. I don't like props, you know, like we had one use for a prop once and that was Kenyon Moore's megaphone. You know what I'm saying? And we saw how that ended up. Not great. So it's like, let, let, let's show up to, to sit with ourselves only. You know what I'm saying? Um, but I just feel like Shamiya, it brings antics in that same regard as like props, like it's just, it's too, like you're like, okay, I'm going to say this and then she'll probably say this back and then that's when I can do this part and then I can do that. And it's just like, just have fun. Just go with the fucking flow. Yeah, but if you were a friend of for 75 seasons and this was your time, don't you think you would have spent those 74 seasons when you were a part of the great ensemble? I mean, but genuinely like thinking of what you would have done if you had that peach. So I'm sure there's just a lot of pressure that she's putting on herself, let alone externally, but then the conversely, like when they showed that clip of her doing that very sort of awkward apology to everybody, which you would think isn't, isn't that what people want? It just felt like your troubleshooting in advance. Yeah, who's in her ear? What if she had, does she have like a producer too in her ear or something? It might be herself. It might just be almost like a sense of paranoia of like, I've wanted this for so long or even if she- No, I finally got it. I finally got it and like, I don't want to lose anybody. Well, I think it's just a lot of stress. And also we've seen the stress that she is under as a parent with just the kinds of hardship that she has gone through and, you know, thank God that she and her husband seem to have a great relationship and a great marriage because she's really been through it in a way that I think, I hope that the rest of the cast really gives her support. And I mean, the amount of time she was in the children's hospital with her beautiful daughter, just trying to like support her as best she can. Like, if you are, when you are a parent and you are a caregiver of a special needs child, like people don't understand. I, I myself, I mean, tofu, all the love in the world, I myself am not a parent, but I've saw what my, what my parents have tried to navigate to this day. My mom is my brother's primary caregiver plus plus. He's a C1, C2 quad. Like people have no idea the amount of stress, which isn't to take away from the love, but also like this is a real conversation here where you can get to the nitty gritty. And, and I just, I don't know that she gets all the credit that she deserves, but that doesn't mean that the other criticism isn't warranted. It just means that like she's dealing with a lot. So like I do, I think give her a little extra grace when sometimes the performance stuff doesn't hit, but that doesn't mean that she gets a permission slip when she fucks up. You know, like I think it's, I think, you know, we saw on, um, Mary to medicine, you know, the struggles of parents and just trying to parent the way through life with a neurodivergent child. And, and again, it's not taking away from the love that you have for your child and your family, but you don't have to negate what a person goes through from a stress perspective day to day. Like you can, you can own both realities. I feel like sometimes there's this idea of like poo pooing the nitty gritty because you just want to say, but all the love, and it's like, well, yeah, that, that is real. That is here. But this is also a different path that people are navigating and they deserve to be given that space and that respect. And in that way, like, but there's so much, there's so much to Shamiah. There's a lot that she's juggling. I also think she's complicated. And sometimes she simplifies herself. Like that's maybe the energy that I got from the premiere. But, but this is like me arguing with myself. If I was her, wouldn't I be doing that as my instinct? Like she had a tough second half of the season. Wouldn't you do a reset if you were her? It just feels a little inauthentic. Yeah, I try to just come out with a little bit of fun, lighthearted energy and try to, yeah, that makes sense. I appreciate you even saying that because I didn't even view it that way. And I mean, even to hearing you say that, it's like, maybe the fucking show is the one place where she could be silly and let out and have fun and not be serious. Given what she has to deal with on a day-to-day basis. So maybe that's while it doesn't necessarily land or resonate, it could be, that could be the reason behind it is because she's like, these are, I'm filming confessionals for six hours today. I'm going to be fucking kooky and fun and silly because I've had this and this and this and this going on with my children the last couple of days in these appointments. And, and these discussions about potential operations. And I mean, like her one child was, I think it had multiple operations. Multiple. And then both bursts, I think were very, very complicated for her as well. So yeah, I can say I appreciate you even saying that because I didn't, I didn't think about it like that, you know, and now hearing you even say that too, it's like it makes it even more sad, the state of her and Portia's friendship, you know, because it's like that's all, and I'm not saying that Portia doesn't want to be there for her, but it's like just the state of the situation. It's like either you don't feel like you're allowed to be there for her. You don't feel comfortable being there for her, but that doesn't, take away from the fact that even if she is mad and upset with you, that she still wants that, that familiarity of your support and your presence in difficult times, you know. Totally. And I, the sense that I get is like, they're not great, right? Oh, that hug at the rest of the, when she walked into the event, I was like, oof, there was, there was no warmth there. No, I mean, but respect about them for showing up. I mean, I can't imagine like I, I, if I had to walk into an event and hug, like there's people that are coming to mind right now, like people that I'm just like, no, no, like former friends, like I literally, and it's not even being petty, like I would cry, I would throw up, I would start shitting. I like it would, I would have an emotional reaction out of anxiety, out of fear, out of sadness, out of regret of my own decisions or potential or questions and not having clarity. Like there would be so much that comes to the surface in those six seconds that you walk from the door to greet that person on camera. And there's zero percent chance that the camera would not capture every fucking one of them all over my face, you know what I'm saying? And then to have to have conversation, like, no, do you hear the mic just shaking into my body about, hey, you know, I'd be terrified, terrified. Absolutely. And I do also just want to shout out Portia's prenup. The fact that she noted, I mean, from a timing perspective that like the cast didn't even get a chance to meet Simon, because it was that quick. She, she done good. Like that's a seven million dollars. I want to know who did Candy Burst and Portia's prenup. Oh my God. That's why you get, you get legit lawyers, you get that shit on camera and you make sure- Like Candy paid Todd out like $400,000. It's like Candy makes that in a fucking half a month. Yeah, like literally. No, not even a half. I mean, like that's an out, that's acu-weather. That's like- And they, I mean, and they were together every hour. Almost a decade, weren't they? I mean, they- A while. Like in other states and other, had that prenup been as strong as it was, like she would have paid out 20 times more than that, if not literally, if not more. Well, and also the way that a prenup can really protect you if you are in a situation or relationship with someone where there's a lot that Porsches bring into the table and a lot that Simon said that he had. So the fact that she was able to negotiate something that seemed to be very beneficial to her, I give her all the credit in the world. I like to see women win. So like good for you. Good for, get the house, get the whatever else, like you do, you know, like nothing but, nothing but support from me. Listen, before we wrap this deep harder, we have to talk about Beverly Hills. I know that you historically ride for Kyle. You know that she is historically in my top five. This, the Kyle, Derit, Erica, Shnayanigan was an 11 out of 10 in terms of energy on this episode. I'm just kind of curious to your reaction to all of this. You know, when I saw, I've always been a huge Kyle fan. I'm an OG girlie. The, you know, the G and OG stands for gay because I'm there supporting them always. Last and like, and you know, that's, that's been my stance very long, but I've always loved Derit too. And it's funny because at BravoCon this last year at the press line, I saw Derit and she, we know we're both cancers and she literally said, she was like, she told me she thought about me this season, but going into it because of how bad the drama was between her and Kyle. And that last year, no, it was, she said last season she thought about content creators and how they would respond. And she said, she specifically thought about me because I had always rode so hard for them, but she knew that my loyalty was to Kyle. Like, because she's like, I know you love Kyle. And I said, rarely, like I do ride and ride hard for people traditionally, yes, but I've never really had to watch a breakup of two people that I, like I rode hard for both of them, you know. And it was very, she was like, you know, I just, whatever, you know, if you support Kyle in this, like, I obviously, I understand. And she's like, you know, I completely get it. And I was like, well, number one, I haven't seen anything yet, but number two, I was like, I love you both, you know, like I said, I, this is a friendship that I absolutely hate to see break up, you know. But having said that, you know, we've watched this season, we're nearing the end. And for me up until now, and some people will call me crazy, I could see both sides as far as, like, points of frustration from friendships, like, you know, Derit, you know, why are you talking about this? And, you know, and I think that Derit's expectations of Kyle really, really speak to her admiration and, and respect for Kyle, because I think that she wants Kyle, she expects a different level of behavior from Kyle than the others, because she, that's how close she viewed them as once being, I think, you know, however, it was this episode was the first time that I felt like Derit really, really, really was giving very good reason to be annoyed with her as far as the time of production and being late. And, you know, I, I worked in daytime TV for years and your, the schedule is everything. And you go into overtime one minute, you now have a whole 20, 30, 40, 50 people of crew that every single one of their hourly salaries just went up by like 50%. And not only so, and that, so if we're in overtime, it's fair to assume we're also fucking exhausted, because we've all, we're now, we've been working long enough to get into overtime, you know. And so there are just so many factors and like, when they have a reservation at a restaurant, like, there had to be people that got there at the exact amount of time to get the lights and stuff set up and to get the permits and everything taken care of and to, to make sure that the restaurant is happy with the way everything's looking. And they, there are so many people that have small, seemingly minute roles that are so impactful in getting one of these scenes shot that I cannot get over the blade of disrespect for production and crew's time and, and, and efforts. It's, it was, I was talking about it, it was very, very, very, I was very disappointed and Derit. And have it, to me, if you can't connect arriving at 3am to dinner to start your work shift to multiple people being unable to hear anything else coming out of your mouth because they're so fucking frustrated with you. If, if, if there's not that awareness there, I can't help but wonder if that lack of awareness, which is probably tied to the stress of what's going on in her life, it's not her fault, but has that lack of awareness been a factor in a lot of the, you know, frustrations and disagreements that you found yourself in, in the, in the last few months? Because to me, it was like the reach is being derate, but like, I'm sorry to show up to a production, crew, dinner, group scene at 3am and to let seven, six, seven other women sit there and wait on you is one of the most disrespectful things that you could do. And also, again, not a good way to secure your paycheck because now you're, you're dipping into the budget. You're dipping into unforeseen costs. It's not a good move, you know? So, but sorry that was a long rant, but saying all that to say, this moment really showed me, I think, a lot more of where Derit, I mean, excuse me, where Erica and Kyler are coming from in the sense that Derit is operating to the beat of her own drum that unfortunately disrespects others and she will not hear otherwise. That's really, and so, I think, what do you do with that? You know? You're, listen, you're making great points. I think that isn't discussed enough, especially like from a production perspective, from a budget perspective, it's so disrespectful, not just to the cast, but to the people behind the cameras. And she has a long history of not giving a shit about other people's time. It's like, it's like full stop, absolutely. After they leave, there's still people that have to take all that shit down. Right, no, it's not okay. Like every minute that you're late, there's not a single person that's not impacted by that, you know? And Lisa Hoxenecourt, it's like, we get that you're going through a tough time, but you've done this the entirety of your time on Housewives, so that's just not a good enough excuse. Exactly. It's like, it's just not a good enough excuse. Like, you can't just bring that out. You were doing this before the hardship started, but before we knew that the hardship started. Yeah. I would add to that, like many things can be true at once, absolutely. Great point, totally agree. In addition to that, she did fire a pretty good shot, Erica's way. And Erica, I understood what Erica was saying too, I really did, I totally, totally got it. But when she said to Erica, like, you know, what are you going through, whatever the fuck the actual language was, which is important, like that was, I thought to myself like, oh fuck, like that don't, don't question what Erica's going through. Erica's responsive, like, go fuck yourself, I completely understood. But also, when Duret was like, well, you're not sharing it on camera. I mean, there's a lot that Duret hasn't shared about her financial difficulties with PK that she's certainly aware of, maybe not how much money they have in the bank, which she absolutely should be. Everybody read Strangers by Bell Bird and for more. But Erica, you're dating the guy, you're not telling us, you're admired in legal stuff, you still haven't expressed a single iota of anger to your estranged husband. There is some stuff that you haven't shared. That was a guttural fight, like that was frustrations between two people that really, really shared a strong friendship that have, they have put those issues and frustrations in the ditch, shoved them to the side, and baby, there was no ditches in Tuscany for these motherfucking frustrations to lie. They all came out, you know what I'm saying? Like, I mean, and you know, we all, we always see a tint of what was shot. I guarantee you it was way worse. But to me though, like Duret saying, what are you going through? I was like, no, it was terrible. It was that was insane. But as a friend, that's the worst thing you could ever say, because what, what? Like, Erica is about to be on food stamps, bitch. Like, what, that's what she's fucking upset about. Like, she's literally gonna go to jail. Like, what are you fucking talking about? I'm like, and I'm not even being silly. Like, she's literally like losing any income that she has is being targeted by the fucking government. And in low and for things that she feels and believes that she didn't do. And then also the one person that she does feel that she can blame it on is fucking incapable of even talking about it. So it's like, to me, it was just crazy to even say that. And also, even if you're trying, you know, like sometimes like you want to like have like a bitch moment where it's like you lay out like a read or something. It's like, unfortunately, I wouldn't lay out a read that underscored the points made by the other person, which is that you're basically like a shitty friend. You're being absent. The only thing you care about is yourself and you have no consideration for anyone else. And you just ask me on camera what the fuck I'm going through when everyone in America has watched me move from mansion in Pasadena to a fucking Casita in West Hollywood. A multimillion dollar guest house. And her husband was ruled competent to stand trial. And if Erica is concerned about her financial future as well, she should be very clearly maybe she should use less glam. Maybe we should use less glam. I'm just but if you are my friend, I can't say that I don't know what you're going through. Yeah, I don't think Erica's in in direct danger of not being able to afford her Amazon Prime account when she doesn't need to do her own mascara. You know what I'm saying? Like, I think she's okay for now, which she definitely I don't think she's okay for now. But like, I thought she was getting better. And then I feel like I forgot about all these other ones that were looming. And these last weeks are like directly about her behavior. So you can't say it's it's only about Tom. It's also about the Kelly bag with the book in advance. I mean, I'm confused as to which color the bag was was the bag always silver. I thought it was white or is that a different I'm just like, I you couldn't have water boarded that information out of me if I was to read, you know, I'm saying I was wait, let's just do the court's job for them. Let's just give them all the fucking discovery and evidence that they need, you know what I'm saying? Like, I just I just I just think that I don't know. I almost I worry for a little bit. I do. Because I really like to read. I really do. And I think that I don't think she's a bad person. I think that she's not level headed right now, you know, which Rachel Zoe was saying, other people are saying, Bose is saying, Erica is saying the difference though with Kyle is Kyle has a tendency of being super strategic when she's like concerned about her friend where I'm like, Oh, you're talking directly to the audience. You've you've passed to read do not pass go do not or actually do pass go do collect the $200. And when you use words like manic and you pretend you don't understand the connotation that you're you're looking you're pretending your intention is really pure. Well, there's a lot of visceral anger here that's barely buried under the surface that I do think backs up what Dorit is saying when which is not like Bose is a better friend than all of you guys have had because that's a very easy thing to say when you don't have a decade long of stress behind friendship like friendships are complicated. So to overly simplify it, I don't know how helpful that is, but I do think there's a point here when Bose is talking about Dorit situation where it does not come from a place of judgment. I think Erica's any quote unquote judgment of Erica is specific to like what Dorit is saying overly simplifying things and then not taking responsibility for how her actions affect other people. Dorit's not interested in the second part there, but I do think that that's Kyle rather is being super calculating and not being honest and being manipulative on camera to turn this against Dorit like I do genuinely believe that. And so I'm like, Oh, Dorit's taking some points. They're all making points. I actually genuinely think they're all making points, which is why they're fighting so much because they're like, you're right, bitch, but I got this too. And it's also why like this episode I was like, so actually the Italy trip was interesting. It just took you guys seven episodes in Italy, 17 weeks to get there, 17 weeks to get there, which is like the level of performative or performance laziness that the women on Beverly Hills are just able to get away with that you wouldn't be able to on any other franchise continues to be astounding. But what a to be continued if there ever was one. Listen, Christian Gray Snow, you know, you're welcome anytime.
