Hi everyone, it's Jessica. Welcome back to Sleep Magic. Tonight we have another rewind from the team Magic Archives. And I wanted to bring this episode back for you because it's one of my favorites from last Christmas. In this session, we explore the idea that our attraction to the cozy lights of Christmas isn't just about the world around us. It's actually about what lives inside of us, that quiet, steady glow beneath all the noise and tension of everyday life. As we get closer to the solstice, the winter solstice, and the nights get longer, we as humans get attracted to light. We decorate Christmas trees, we light candles on the menorah, and although Ramadan travels around the calendar, it too celebrates light. Even in warmer climates like India, the winter solstice is celebrated with bonfires. Ah, the light, we're like moths, so attracted to it. But I think one of the reasons we're pulled toward the light is because we contain light within us. I've spoken here about the human body actually containing light particles, photons. But as a hypnotist, I've also noticed that when clients have big breakthroughs, when they move past big blocks in themselves and reconnect with their most core inner being, more often than not, they experience a light inside. And it's spontaneous, I'm not suggesting it. Under our mental chatter, under our emotional baggage, below our conflicts, is light, pure radiant light. And as always, bring your awareness first to the breath. The breath is such an amazing thing because we don't have to think about it. It just happens. It's like the atmosphere is breathing us. And it has this gentle, perfect rhythm. If you take a big inhalation, you have a big exhalation. If you take a little inhalation, you have a little exhalation. It's like a metronome, a balancing mechanism. Always present inside of you. So when we bring our awareness to the breath, we're bringing it to this steady, faithful rhythm. And the mind slows down as it comes home to the breath. But the mind wants to move around. So now we bring the mind to your eyelids. And as your eyelids are getting nice and heavy and sleepy and comfortable, just imagine that they're very, very tired and heavy. And now I'd like you to accept the suggestion that your eyelids are so heavy, that they will not open. And now I'd like you to test your eyelids to make sure they won't open by wiggling your eyebrows. Just give them a little tug while your eyes remain closed. And we're just pretending here. But pretending is a powerful, powerful thing. And now this wonderful relaxation around your eyes is the same quality of relaxation that you will soon have throughout your entire body. So let's allow this relaxation around your eyes now to drop down into your cheeks. Your cheeks becoming nice and heavy. And jaw letting go. Good. And now let's imagine the heaviness around your eyes moving up into your forehead. And your forehead relaxing, softening. As the heaviness moves up into your scalp. Imagine your scalp relaxing. And now the relaxation is moving back inside your head. Taking over every single cell of your brain. And now your head is feeling really, really heavy. Heavy. Like a bowling ball on the pillow. And that feels so nice. Good. As the heaviness moves down now into your shoulders and your arms. And it's flowing down your arms and your hands and arms are feeling heavy. Just let them be heavy. The day is done. Any tension you may have built up in your upper body over the day. This flowing out your arms, out your palm. Flowing down into the earth. As the relaxation moves inside your torso and your torso. It's filling with warm, relaxing energy. So that your breath is deepening. Your belly is softening. Your whole torso is feeling nice and heavy on the bed. Your spine sort of softening, relaxing, spinal fluid flowing more easily and comfortably. As you go deeper and deeper. And the sounds going on around you are taking you deeper and deeper. Because you've been practicing now for a while. Using your mind and deep and powerful ways. And now the sounds going on around you are taking you deeper. The warm, heavy relaxation moves down your legs now. Down deep. Deep into your legs. Down your thighs through your knees, down your calf. Through your ankle. Your legs can relax now and feel heavy. Like they're made of marble. Because the day is done. And the heaviness moves down into the souls of your feet. And down into your toe. And as your body is relaxing. Your mind is relaxing. And as your mind is relaxing. Your body is relaxing. Imagine now that you're standing at a door. And on the door it says, My inner sanctuary. You open the door and enter this room. It is a perfect room for you. With comfortable furniture. In your favorite color. It has everything you need to feel safe. And calm. This is where you come to enjoy the deepest parts of your being. To relax and heal. You lie down on the comfortable bed. In this sanctuary. And you close your eyes. Taking yourself deeper. And deeper. As you bring your awareness to your mind. To your brain. There's lots of energy in your brain. But sometimes it can feel intense. Or unruly. So now you find that all mental tension is evaporating. As you imagine your mind now. Like a light bulb. Imagine this. Light bulb. Glowing. And sending its light beyond your skull. Feel the power of your mind as it expands. Sending your ideas. And creative power. And focus into the atmosphere around you. Enjoy. The light of your mind. As you go deeper. And even deeper. And now you bring your awareness down into your heart. Sometimes our hearts can feel heavy. Or hidden behind the shield. But as you go deeper. And deeper. Into relaxation. All emotional tension. Has disappeared. And inside your heart. Is a flame. And producing warmth. And light. Getting bigger. And sending its glow beyond your body. Sending its warmth. Beyond your body. Into the atmosphere. Sending out your warm. Ibration. Your heart is full of energy. Full of light. All the same. And deeper. And now you bring your awareness down to your belly. Sometimes the energy in your belly can feel block or tense as you protect yourself from deeper feelings and intuitions. But now as you go deeper and deeper, any tension you may have been holding in your belly has evaporated. And you're noticing a glow from deep within your belly. Like the glowing embers of a fire. Give this glow from this fire expands beyond your body. Moving you, steering you, showing you the way. And now as you connect all these lights, the glowing embers of your belly, the flame of your heart and the light bulb of your mind. Your whole inner being is glowing, expanding. The light is in you, expanding from within you. Your light, your energy, your inner being. You are the light. Now imagine someone you care about, standing across from you. You take an unlit candle and hold it to the flame of your heart and it lights. You hand this candle to the person across from you and they light their own heart. Notice the light within them. Notice the flame in their heart. We all have this light within us. The light of life. This light is unlimited and spreads. Your light brings out the light in others. So now imagine your closest loved ones. Whether it's your biological family or chosen family or both in a circle around you. Notice the candle is passed from one person to another, lighting the flames in their hearts. Imagine each person. Take your time. Notice the light within them. Now there's a circle beyond this first circle. These are your acquaintances. People from work. People you see on a regular basis. Maybe you don't know them well, but you like them. You feel their light. You're nourished by their light. Now watch as the candle is passed from person to person. As they all light up from the inside. As you go deeper and deeper. Now there's a circle beyond the second one. And even larger circle. These are the people in your neighborhood. People who live on your left, on your right, across from you, behind you, above you and below you. People you see walking their dogs. People you see working at the store down the street. People in your community. The people who work at the gym are at the bank. As the candle is passed among them. Feel the light of your community. And as every person lights up. Your light is becoming brighter. And now an even bigger circle of the people who live in your area. Who do the basic civic work. Who pick up the trash. Who work in the hospitals. Who work in local government. People who teach the children. As the light passes among them. Feel the light of your larger community. As your light becomes brighter. And now an enormous circle of every person in your country. There is light inside every person in your country. Everyone doing their best to express their light. Feel joy and expansion. Imagine the light of your country. So many people. So much light. And the biggest circle goes all the way around the world. The candle moving from person to person. Feeling the flame inside of them. And with every person. Every human has this light inside. As you go deeper and deeper. Your light is becoming softer. It's time to contract just a bit. As you rest. Going in more. Going deeper. Here in your sanctuary. As you drift. And dream. And dream. And dream. And dream. And dream. And dream. And dream. And dream. And dream. And dream. And dream. And dream. And dream. And dream.
