I was chilling, man. Let me see. Friday, had the amazing time at Tag the Terrain. Shout out to Brian and the gang up there. Shout out to Deja, my favorite Dykes and Van Dyke. I learned that. Wait, did you really, did you call Deja? No, no, I don't get her, I got her number. You didn't get her number at all? We got her, you know, we got her Instagram, you know. Oh, so you, did you, are you guys DMing with each other? Yes. Have you, you have not been on the phone though with her? No. Are you afraid? Can I just get a pat on the back? Because did I not come up to you and say. You did. The girl in the ivory hat. Yeah. You need to go look. I feel bad though. You did, Shannon. You're putting it all in writing. You should not be putting it in writing. Why? I'm not feeling crazy. That ends up on a radio blog page. And then next thing you know, look what Cab was DMing this. I don't think there's anything wrong with our conversation. But, yeah, so Friday we had that incredible time. Did I pick Josiah from school? I don't remember. But we had a Pistons game that night. Lost. That wasn't good. Came back to the radio station afterwards. Had finished up some stuff there. Got home. Was talking to my neighbor friend who I told you a while ago, the bad neighbor. Oh, the baddie. Yeah, texted. Was texting the baddie neighbor. took her over my little foot massager because she said she had a rough day. Talked to her. Boom. Saturday. Josiah is in a program called Michigan Pathways. So he had to get bused up to Ann Arbor so they could do whatever, whatever. So met his mom up there to handle some business there. Got a little cut. No, we didn't have a game Friday. Had a game Saturday. What did I do Friday? I don't remember what I did. Friday was kind of a really foggy, weird weather day. Yeah, I don't remember. Yeah, Saturday, chill. Did homework with Josiah at night. Took him to school this morning. Do you find that you're having more girls that are coming into the stables that since you've been doing this whole I'm not going to be with any girls? Like I feel like whenever I'm on a diet, my wife now decides we're going to good restaurants. You know what I mean? Yeah, yeah, yeah. It used to be those type of things. Like people say when you get a certain car, all of a sudden you see that car everywhere. Yeah. Or the moment you get in a relationship, all of a sudden these single people are after you now. When you go to the mall and you have nowhere to go, no vacations planned, million cute outfits. As soon as you're out of vacation, you can't find a damn thing. Or you have no money. Yeah. I think my discernment is that, and I won't say an all-time high right now, but I'm starting to notice things. And I do feel like you get a certain level of pressure or quote you under attack more Yeah And my defenses are up high So I won say that there an increase in women but the women that do pop up like that experience is magnified They're good. Yeah, I will say that. You know what it is? Deja was cold. I thought you might lose her out to Anna. Anna seemed more interested than you did on Friday. Anna like girls. I get it. Deja was cold. Anna was like. She's wordy. I mean, too. Oh, wait. Hold on. let's compare. We have exchanged a few DMs but nothing like that. Let's compare. I'm not about to give you my DMs. That's the last thing I'm going to do. You're about to get 20 likes on Insta. I want to know what's going on. Who's got more sultry like let Shannon judge it. I don't need to see it. I don't need to see personal conversations. I think me and Dacia can be very good friends. You want to. I know you do. Do you ever want to live vicariously through? No, I don't. I really, really, I love hearing stories. Oh, Shannon. Shannon has lived a life. I'm good. Shannon got her own stories. I'm good. Who would you most rather see talking back and forth between the same person? Would you rather see Kevin or Anna? Who do you think would have a better game going? I think Kev has good game. No, I'm chilling, man. I don't go that crazy. Kevin's like semi-preaching. Exactly. I don't go that crazy. Kevin knows what to say. A wise man once told me that a girl with panties is a girl. What? I don't know. He's got stories and stuff. No, I don't get that. Somebody one time told me this. I like to understand who people are. Do you ever chat GPT your comments that you're going to DM? That would be funny, though. Maybe I should try that. I wanted to see what chat GPT would say compared to what you would say. It would be great. So the two of you took a liking to the same person. Would it be weird? Did you take a liking to her? No. I mean, I thought she was fly. I thought I could be friends with her. Oh, really? That looks like someone that I would be friends with. Oh, because you, I thought, maybe I misread it then. Because on Friday, I thought that you seemed, didn't you think that she? Yeah, like into her. I thought she was cool. But you kept like, oh my God, I love it. And I'm thinking, oh, she's into her. Yeah. So I thought, okay, so there was no. No, I liked her style. I like the hat she had on and I thought I could be friends with her. I never look at things as like, I want a friend. You know what I mean? Like I would be like, yeah, like I would never be like, oh, I want to be friends with them. Then I heard she was from Detroit. I was like, this really could be a friend. Then I saw on Instagram we had mutual friends. I was like, oh, okay. Yeah. I don't know. I just, but here's the deal though. You can't be friends with her because then she'll start dating Kevin. Why? That may not happen. I don't think that Kevin is going to want you and somebody that he works with being close friends with the girl that he's. We're already connected too much. Like Kevin and I know all the same people. It's not good, though. Like you want to have separation. You don't think it's good? No, it's not. Why not? Like Kevin's particularly close with my ex situationship. And like I felt like when I was asking for advice on my situationship, I personally, Kevin, I know you might disagree with this, But I thought that the advice might not be as sound because you had that tie to him. Do you feel like I gave advice? I also feel like you were not. It was hard for me to get advice. Exactly. I stay out of it. See? In those type of situations, I enjoy allowing two grown adults to enjoy whatever they're doing together and make their own decisions. I'm not going to be involved on either side. I'm in distress. and I need help. I'm not the only person. I need a man's advice. But I actually do agree with Kev. Then get advice from this thing over here. I'm not a man. Over here. I'm a boy. I remember that there was a time, there was a very short time, long time ago, that Shannon dated a friend of mine and I hated it from the aspect of I had to like worry about who I was going to, I guess, side with if something happened. You know what I mean? And honestly, you don't side with your friend. You side with the person that you have to see every single day because you don't see your friend every single day. See, I've been in situations where I'm about what's right, regardless of what side it is. Like, I'll love you, but I'll still tell you the truth, even if I think you're wrong. But in, like, this type of situation, I'm just going to let y'all do y'all. Because you're so close to both. I'm like, give me something. I feel like that would have been wrong, though. All right, so I want to ask this question. Have you ever had a friend of yours date a co-worker? And if so, does it ever turn out to be okay? Because I don't know if it's necessarily a good thing. You know, what do they always say? You don't, you know, you don't shart where you eat or, you know what I mean? Yeah I done it before You don wanna it not good A couple of times Like you don do that especially if you not anybody getting anything You know what I mean I don think that I don't like that rule. There are some people who have sharted where they eat and now they, you know, live beautiful lives and married and have children. No, it's different than if you're the person that's dating somebody that you work with. But you don't like the idea of your, like, coworkers. like the idea of a co-worker dating somebody that is a friend of yours. Yeah. Or relative or any of that stuff. As long as they treat them right. Like I remember. You don't have issues with anybody. Who treats who? Right. Anybody. Both of them. Before Chelsea and I got together our general manager's daughter used to hang out at the radio station. And I took her out a couple of times. And it was not a great situation. Because it was my boss's daughter. But he liked me. And I think, honestly, can I tell you something? I don't think that he thought that I would have, she would have, was attracted to me at all. I think he thought, oh, he'll be a good friend for you. And I was not a good friend for her. Did y'all do things? We did some things. Did you spit where you ate? Yes. What happened when you broke up or ended it? Well, I ended it because I ended up meeting Chelsea and we became very close. And the manager was fine with it? I think he was happy. I think he was happy. Let's put it this way. I think he was willing to give me a severance for being with his daughter. But it was one of those things where, and this is daughters, I wouldn't want to set my kids up with somebody that I worked with. It would be weird. I remember when Luke and Bianca first met each other, and I jokingly said, oh, you guys should go out on a date. It would not have been a good situation. Well, he found someone just like me, so you got your replacement right there. There you go. Thank you, Jesus. What's up, Savannah? So my sister and my best friend and I were all working together, and my sister had her, they're from Florida, moved up here, and they broke up. He didn't know anyone, so I ended up hooking up my best friend from work with my sister's baby daddy, and we all worked together, so it was definitely not great. What did you do that for? You hooked your sister's baby daddy up with a coworker. Like you couldn't ask for a more train wreck situation, Savannah. She brought him here from Florida, and he didn't know anybody. And they were very, very compatible. And I'm like, well, if you're not going to be with him, you can't just let him be sad and lonely by himself here. It's not your responsibility, though, to find him a match. You're not matchmaker to your sister's baby daddy. Did your sister like her baby daddy? No, she broke up with him. Yeah, exactly. You know what I mean? But then the moment that my friend started dating him, she was, like, very mad and, like, now wanted to be back with him. So it was, like, the whole thing. You know what? She's mad at you. She probably wanted him the whole time, and he wasn't coming around, and then you're out there, you know. Oh, they were together. She moved him here from Florida. How good of a friend are you and the baby daddy? Well, my sister and him were both living with me, and then they broke up. So he went and moved in with my brother because, again, he doesn't know anybody. I did not answer Kevin's question. What Kevin wants to know is, did you ever hook up with your sister's baby daddy? Oh, that's, no. Ew. Okay. I don't know if I necessarily think that you are oohing loud enough. I would not have hooked him up with my friend than if I liked him. Sometimes you hook up people with people that you end up, you know, you have a thing for. Nice little cover. Nope. Not me. You sure? Nope. I'm positive. Trust me. All right. Okay. your sister better not be listening what's going on mike uh hi morning guys good morning mike hey mike what's going on hi uh the second time i talked to you i never called in but uh you guys called me oh really okay uh yeah first is this the first time that you've been on the air with us then oh second i thought he said yeah he's i can't understand you i'm confused go ahead mike Second time. Second time. Okay. What's going on? What do you got? I think his phone's really bad. Mike, what are you calling us on? Is that one of those Metro PCS phones? Shout out Metro. No, no, no. Are they still around? Absolutely. This is a 4G. Maybe shut off my speaker. Okay. What's going on? I don't know if you can hear me better. I want to let you guys know that my wife and I, Laura, And we hooked up at work. This was, oh, God, we've been knowing each other 45 years. Oh, my God. And, yeah, we were married for the last 32 years. See, it works. And are you guys still? Yes. You're still together? Yes. We're still together. What kind of work were you all doing? Hi. Oh, hi. And they listened to me. Do you guys hook up at work? Like did you guys ever just run off to the bathroom at the same time and take care of each other No Did she say yes No Okay what kind of work did you guys do grinding machines when the only thing grinding grinding machines oh my god is that code for something what is going on Mike and Laura Mike and Laura You know what Wait wait wait what did you say Y'all got an upside down pineapple in your house Are you guys trying to call To see if Anna and Kev would like to bring Deja over They seem like a fun time By the way Do you think Chelsea and I sound like this Do we sound like this Laura and Mike In the class of they all we get on hey Chels what's going on where did we meet the grinding machine when's the last time Laura you gave Mike the grinding machine it's been a while it's time you guys go seriously go enjoy each other you got some gears to grind alright this is interesting so Kev and Anna are DMing the same hot girl that came to our promotion. Who has a better chance? Anna of being good friends with her or Kev of being with her? I love you, Anna. I think Kev, though, here. I mean, I would say the same thing. I'm not saying anything. You're not interested that way? I don't know. I think she's beautiful. Let's see, though. What if you found out that Anna was saying that she could do better? Go off. I would never, Kevin. She couldn't do better than you, Kevin. She might. Unless it was me. I've never seen how Anna worked. Kevin's a catch. Kevin is a catch. Ooh, I like this. This would be good. Let's see what happens. You like what? No. Let's say Anna and Kevin on a date. Come on. Would you guys date? No. He just said he doesn't want coworkers to date. But Lydia and Jed can. Kevin, I think Kevin and Anna would kill each other You think so? I really do Why do you think we would kill each other? Because I gotta be honest with you I noticed some of the looks that you give when some things are said during the show Like what? Point it out next time I think Kevin would be able to put me in my place Which sometimes I need So she wants it I'm just not speaking about you anymore These kids, come on kids We gotta all pull it together We're just messing around. Get Mike and Laura in the grinding machine back on. Next Monday, our 2026 iHeart Podcast Awards are happening live at South by Southwest. This is the biggest night in podcasting.
