Definitely. Definitely. Let's go ahead and jump into that thing real fast because it's a prediction out here that it's going to be a blockbuster trade for Michael Pittman coming over here. Michael Pittman Jr. coming over to the Steelers to help put a tandem together with DK. What do you think of that, dude? I like it. I like Michael Pittman Jr. I know that we're going to need another receiver. My main guy that I would like, I think people are sleeping on my dude. I like Rasheed. I like Rasheed. What's my man's name? Rasheed Taheed, the receiver from the Seahawks. I think that if we can get him, he's one of my sleeper picks at wide receiver because I think he's a dog receiver that people are looking around 13 to 15 million. He's a sneaky dude and special teams. I think he would help out our special teams big time in the kickoff return game and the punt return game along with his receiver skills. So I like him. I'm interested in Michael Pittman Jr. I think that he's good. I know he's coming off a three for 70 million. him along with DK. I think both of those dudes, though, like, he's not a real number one to me. You know what I'm saying? I don't think he's like, put him over there, put him at X, get open, he can get it done. Really, really good receiver. I love him as a number two, but I think that's two number twos that we got. Legit. It's definitely an upgrade, but I don't think he's going to be the complete answer. I feel like DK is a number two. A strong number two. Okay. A strong number two. I guess everybody got their right to their own opinion. I think number one is somebody that you can just put over there. There's not too many real legit ones in the league that you can go put over there at the X that no matter what, going to get it done. Do you know what I'm saying? Like Jamar Chase, Justin Jefferson. Those are the two legit ones. Like those best in the league. But I don't put DK in that category right now. Why wouldn't you put him in that category? Because of last year or you say his whole body of work? Why would you? Not his whole body of work. just from last year and dropping passes. I don't – he could be. He's been the number one in his career before. I just didn't see it last year. And with him dropping those balls, I need you to be able to go over there and I depend on you no matter what. You're going to get the job done. He didn't do it. I think he has it in his bag. If we get Pittman here, we'll help him out, get some pressure off of him. But I think that neither one of them dudes are legitimate ones, in my opinion. Okay. Okay, understandable, understandable. Yeah, I don't know, like, who predicted this or whatever it is. Michael Pittman Jr., like you said, you know, I like it, but for me, I don't like it at, what is it, $29 million they would be giving him or fitting in to, you know, what it is that he would be making next year. and then you know along with that you got like you said he's he's not a real real number one he's a legit two um that's how i feel about about him about michael pittman jr and when you look at it like big body was he 6'4 225 so he's a guy that you know uses his size to his advantage you know uses his body to get in the way so he can you know catch the ball he attacks the ball so he's real quarterback friendly. You know, he's actually making himself more available to be able to get down there so you don't have guys cutting in front of the ball and, you know, knocking down passes or intercepting passes. And again, like a big thing is he ain't got that separate speed. You know, he like you, Joe, he like a four or five, too, you know, when it come down to it. So. No, for sure. He's not a burner. We'll take that. So you're looking at more of a mid-range, possessional type down. and even I think what was it last year or the year before he was coming off of a fracture in his back or something like that and a price tag you know 29 million he's on a one-year deal at that so you would get him here and that would be the only year left and you paying premium like you said about the other guy you could get for you know 15 you think you can get for 15 or so so So I wouldn't consider that favorable for us. And again, it would depend on what you're giving up, what that future deal might look like if that was the case. I just, I don't think, I don't see it happen. I don't think it would happen. Again, great, easy number two. But for that money, I don't see. It's all about dollars and cents. It's all about dollars and cents. We're looking at, when I'm looking at star receivers, in the end of the day, it is what it is. $30 million a year, you know what I'm saying? Making 30, making 40. I need you to be a legitimate guy. And when we're the Steelers, we can be using this legit money to do something else. You know what I'm saying? Like, it's no point of bringing in average. You're not average, you know what I'm saying? But guys that I don't think are going to do the needle. You know what I'm saying? Like, we got legitimate holes that we need. So we got DK at the 30. we like when I'm looking at the if you have two receivers making 30 we need a Jamar Chase and we need T Higgins I think those when we need a George Pickens and we need a C.D. Lamb like I think those are the two like legitimate ones that can they they have the they can pay their receivers 30 million dollars a piece because those are legit they could be ones you know I'm saying on on any team with Pittman and with DK that's 60 million dollars on our team of receivers that I don't think is worth it for the Steelers. We can be able to do something different with that extra 30 ball that can bring some real things to the team. So with him, great players. Somebody else might be able to take Pittman that's already just needs him to put them over to the, just needs a number two receiver legit to put them over to win something. Steelers need way more than that. So I think we could do more with the 30. Definitely. We're going to stick with the Steelers. Look, man, Mel Kuyper Jr. and Phil Yates, they NFL their mock draft. They got Ty Simpson going to the Steelers, right? I don't know. I don't know about this one at all because for me, the biggest thing is if you go and draft him, you're telling Will Howard right now we have no hope. We have no desire to even give you a chance. Like, he has no chance at all. Yes, yes. And I ain't going to lie, you know, Ben, he had said something on his podcast. He cautioned him. Ben said, it seems like, again, I'm still very, very strong against getting a quarterback in the first round. I wouldn't even get one in the second round, personally. I wouldn't package my third rounder up to go up to get a second round quarterback. I would not mess with the quarterback draft. Basically, he's saying he wouldn't mess with the quarterback draft this year. You agree with that? You disagree with that? Like, dude, Mel Kiper, he done crushed some people, like, talking about they coming out second, third round, and them boys don't even get drafted sometimes. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, I understand. I understand. I'm with – I'm not with the – I'm not with drafting Ty Simpson. This is what I'm thinking. If the Steelers do draft it, it's Mike McCarthy wanting to work with him as a quarterback and not believing in Will Howard. Because if you draft a quarterback in the first round, he's going to get every opportunity to play. It's his job to lose. I'm really not thinking they're having Will Howard really going to have a chance to be in competition with this guy. When they had Mason Rudolph, when we had Aaron Rodgers go down, they put in Mason. So I just believe if they do draft a quarterback, it's going to be because Mike McCarthy does not believe in Will Howard, and Will Howard's not going to get a chance anymore. I don't think that that's the case. I want us to go ahead and go with Will Howard. We drafted him. I keep saying this. I want to die on the mountain of at least giving the dude a shot and building with these draft picks that we have at legitimate holes that we know we can fill. I want us to get some legitimate linebacker. We know we need that receiver. They're looking at the receivers. They're studying them. They know we're going to get a guy that's going to be a T.J. Watt mentality, bringing the work pail, coming to work hard, like legitimately a guy that we need in the locker room that's going to help the guys, you know what I'm saying, work hard, figure out what he needs to get done. So for me, I don't want us to get tied. I could see why they would say that if Mel Kuyper and them thinking there's a quarterback, they don't believe in Will. We need a quarterback on the team that's going to see if it's going to be the future. So that would be a reason. But for me, I'm with Ben. I don't think that we need to go out there reaching. I think we could try with Will, with McCarthy, put him in a good system, get him a running game, get some people around him, get some pieces. And I think we could see what could happen. Like, I'm with Ben. Like, I don't – I think that would be a reach. Yeah, I'm all the way with you. I can't disagree with you on this one. And especially, you know, when you look at it, the Steelers are 100% back on the Rodgers train. You know, I believe they're thinking that they're able to get him back, that we can come in, get a couple other guys fill in spots, you know, that we need here and there, and it gives us a chance of winning it. And like I said last year, bro, without him last year, We don't even have a winning record, you know, and I believe Rodgers on Wednesday, he said that there were no progressive conversations with the Steelers when he was on a Pat McAfee show. He said, I talked to Mike. I talked to Omar. Rodgers said there's been no dead. There's been no deadline that's been, you know, that's been put in front of me. There's no contract offer or anything. So there's nothing that I've been debating between. I'm a free agent. And again, offseason, you know, I think there's conversations to be had down the line. But right now, I'm not. There hasn't been any progress, progressive conversations. You know, I love Mike and Mike and I have kept in contact over the years, had conversations with Omar. I really think Omar, you know, enjoyed having me there. I think the guys had positive responses to our time together. But again, there hasn't been any real deadline set for me. There hasn't been any contract, you know, floated in front of me for me to like, well, we're giving you till, you know, March 8th to make a decision. There hasn't been anything like that. There has been nothing but respect. So, there again, actually just sitting there waiting on Rodgers. And, I mean, like I said, man, ain't no fun on the Rapper. Rapper got the gun. Rapper got the gun right now, man. You know y'all want it. So, I'm trying to tell them what he's saying without having to say it. Look. What are you saying? Joe. Joe, listen, Joe. This is what he's saying right here, Joe. he's saying i don't know if i want to come back but i want to come back but i need to see what kind of numbers y'all putting in front of me to make it more likely that i feel like i want to come back that's what i think he's saying but the stillers are saying at the same time i told you i go both ways i could sit on the other side of the table i could see the six and nine but the stillers are saying like we ain't gonna offer you no money unless we know you want to come back why they still are saying that because they want to know that he want to come back because if he want to come back we feel like now we can give them a lower number to get him to come back so he's sitting back they sitting back it gonna be about who go sit back the longest uh who feel the more who feel more comfortable about where they at because if you go through the draft and you don do nothing you go through free agency and you don do nothing to fill his void his power gets stronger Man saved us last year. I mean, end of the day, do the Steelers still want to stay attached? like you I feel you I hear what you're saying with the rabbit got the gun um the time the timeline it's like I respect A-Rod A-Rod can do whatever he wants he deserves the right he don't owe the Steelers nothing he don't owe McCarthy nothing he don't owe nobody nothing so when I'm saying this I'm saying do the Steelers when you saying you giving him the power I'm like guys if standing in there and letting him kind of control your destiny of like do you want to come back are Are you going to come back? I think when they do, like you said, only time is going to tell. We got to March 8th. Are you going to say something or not? When the free agency comes, are they going to bring any quarterbacks in or not? When the draft comes, are they going to draft Ty Simpson or not? Then that's when action speaks louder than words. So A-Rod, really, he's trying to chill in, but I'm looking at the steals like they're saying they kind of want him back. When he's a free agent, there's no offer on the deal. There's no offer on the table. So A-Rod's kind of saying, how much do they want him back? Like, you're just saying something, but if there's no deal on the table, if there's no numbers, there's no one for what? Is it 10? Is it 9? Is it 8? Is it 12? You know what I'm saying? So you can say you want somebody, but actually speak louder than words. And then so everybody's kind of just sitting in low right now. Yeah, see, I don't think they understand. They're going to have to get some back pay for last year. You know? You think so? And I think that's what, you know, he's sitting there like, yo, what you going to offer? after what I did for you. I'm not taking A-Rod for $30 million. Okay. So you cool as the owner who has been saying, or this is not a rebuild. This is a reload. And we're going to go out here and compete for a championship. And then saying that I'm starting Will Howard as the starter. And okay. So what are you saying? Like you gotta, you something gotta give. Your words got to match your actions. It's going to be incentives. It's going to have incentives in it the same way. Guaranteed money, but an incentive base then if we bring him back. Ain't no way you're getting him back for a guarantee of less than $20 million. No way. All right. Yeah, we'll see. Do you think he's going to come back? You think they're going to sign him back for $20 million? That's the thing. Do you think he's going to have to sign him back for $20 million? anything over that they might have a hard time agreeing to. Now everything else could be incentive-based since, you know, we ain't won a playoff game in what, 10, 11 years now. He could probably be like first playoff win, 5 million, 8 million. Everyone after that, whatever. And he could get it up to 40, 50. Yeah. I hear you. I hear you. It makes sense. If you're talking about trying to win right now and not really trying to reload and not rebuild, all that stuff, you're making sense. I understand what you're saying. For me, I don't know. But it makes sense, though. All right, man. I'm just saying. You know, hell, Pat McAfee even had said that, you know, the Steelers reportedly consulted him during the hiring of Mike McCarthy. He said they basically asked, well, Pittsburgh, Stiller's people. I don't know who exactly who he was talking about, but they basically asked how it was dealing with Mike McCarthy because he was on their show a lot. He did a few appearances on the show. You got a problem with this show? You like this move? You don't like this move by the Stillers or Stiller's persons or people, whatever that may be? Yeah, I don't know specifically who he talked to, but I mean, I'm not I'm not mad at it. I like McAfee. He played in the game. He played for a while. You know what I'm saying? Like, he has an opinion on, you know, he knows what the league was like. And, like, I'm not mad at it at all. Are you? Uh-uh. No, you got to check it out. You know what I'm saying? We ask people. They ask people that don't know what's going on about other people all the time. Getting somebody that actually was in the game, that actually interacted with coaches, that talks to players all the time, was in the locker room. You know what I'm saying? And I love the way he played. You know what I'm saying? And so you getting information from somebody that's actually in it, that actually does it, that people do have respect for, yeah, ask him. You know what I'm saying? Because he's going to give it. I don't find Pat McAfee a person that lies about his opinion on how he feels about somebody. If he doesn't like someone, if he feels like he wrote them wrong, he'll let you know and just be honest. He's not out there trying to bash people. And you ask him, like people ask other consultants and people like this all the time that didn't play and they take their advice. So I like that he asked somebody that actually has an opinion that's been in locker rooms and actually interacts with these people of, you know what I'm saying, do your due diligence. Ask everybody. People ask when we do the combines, they're asking about you talk to your high school teacher. They talk to all these people. Man, them dudes don't, man, why you talk to Buddy? Like, he's fried. I didn't like my middle school teacher. She was actually the worst. You know what I'm saying? Like, no. So talking to Pat McAfee, I find it cool, dope. and it's not like if Pat McAfee said that he didn't have a great relationship that wouldn't have been the reason why they didn't hire him you just take it in different opinions and getting people's perspective about people I like it I'm all with it man but your boy Quashon what is it Quashon Junkins Quashon Junkins yeah he said he had something interesting to say about his well current head coach and past head coach listen to it a couple different coaches over the past couple years have you heard from your new head coach Todd Munkin yet bro i have and bro honestly like it's not what i thought it would have been like well what did you think it was gonna be i thought it was gonna be like more so like because my past coach bro he was like really even kill bro like super quiet i thought i was gonna get that from coach munkin but it wasn't that like he was like a real players coach bro like you know like give me a hug like all that bro so he was just super communicative of of what he wanted from the team what his goal is what his objective is what he want to come in and do and you know he knows exactly what he wants and he has a vision and I think that's what's important as a head coach and uh especially being vocal about it too I think that's what matters I respect the uh what you got to say about that Joe what is he saying Joe about his current coach and his past coach that there are two different types of coaching styles and I'm not here to bash coach Stefanski because there's also good coaches that are super laid back and have a different approach to it but there's coaches like Todd Munkin that obviously players can relate to a little bit more and there's just more you know I'm saying give me a hug you know I'm saying more relationship based and nobody's saying that that's a better way to do it nobody's saying that the more laid back way is the way to do it. But I can say for Junkins, he's obviously speaking on what he's known as a coach before. And then this one's more personable, more letting him know what it is, more just a different type of coach that he had before. And I'm here for it. You know what I'm saying? Like, that's one thing, like all of, there's two different ways to skin a cat. Like you said, two things could be right at the same time. There's two different, and he just likes that type of coach a little bit more. And I can respect it because for me as a player, I, it didn't matter to me. I'm here to do a job. But if you do have a coach that is more boom, like you can feel like you have a more relationship that you vibe with, just the same way you have a boss at your job. It may be a boss that's more not relatable, but if you get the job done, you treat me with respect. You're here to do a job. I'm here to do a job. But I do not mind us being here to do a job and us being able to have a certain type of relationship. So sometimes that can get a little bit more of a player. It's like players coaches. When you see the Lions coach, when you see the Patriots coach, when you see the ones that played before, they have a certain little vibe that they just interact with coaches, interact with players a different way. And it could still be that stuff when they're in, the tape doesn't lie. They can address you in a way. They're going to coach you up the right way. They're not going to let you get away with stuff. That doesn't mean that we're going to be buddy-buddy. It just means the way that I address you is still, I need the best out of you. I'm still going to let you know when you're doing right, when you're doing wrong. But we still have that type of relationship. So I know what he's saying. from the coaching perspective of coaches just move and shake a different way and they have different relationship with their players. So I know what he's saying there, but it's not like I'm not here to bash the fancy because that's not like – it's not bad if you're not really as relatable to your players. It's just different styles of coaching. I'm a kind of six in one hand, half a dozen in the other. I think what he's saying here is more of a personal preference for himself, And I think that what a lot of guys are getting into especially players nowadays is the emotional attachment to a coach versus the results of it He wanted more of an – or he likes more of an emotional attachment. He's a player's coach. He's this, he's that, da-da-da-da-da. But for me, the thing that kills all that is winning. It don't matter what type of coach he is. You just said yourself, Patriots. Bill was not that dude. not even close to that guy but winning nobody was like man i wish my coach was this and i wish my coach was that no they sitting over there you know six lombardy's they don't give a damn about how they coach talks to them approaches them and here's another issue when you get into those emotional and personal connections with the coaches you forget it's a business no for sure like and when it come down to it he is not gonna hesitate to get rid of you no matter how he feels about you if it comes down to him or you being the reason that he's going to get up out of there yeah you know and that's and that's the part that i it's two things could be like when you're getting coached up by coaching you had that relationship it does not matter if the eye in the sky don't lie if you're not performing well that relationship doesn't matter you're still going to be able to have a good relationship with your coach and be like, yeah, you're probably going to get cut. If your relationship is truly personal and it's not. No, no, no. Understandable. But you know, as a football player, it don't matter. That relationship is not going to be more than your tape is going to show. You're still going to get chopped if you're not performing well. Coach might not even be able to tell you that. And you can't knock, put your relationship, your personal relationship over that at all because that don't matter. You know what I'm saying? That's the main thing. The main thing is the main thing. You got to perform. You got to play right on tape. If you think that he's going to be able to tell you, like, if you're not performing well, your coach is going to be able to tell you that you're not performing well, period. And you're going to realize you might get chopped. But don't think your coach is going to be able to save you from getting chopped because of your personal relationship. Do you know what I'm saying? I think some guys get that a little skewed up. Like, I'm hurt. I'm down a little bit. Coach go understand. You know, give me time to come back. Some coaches ain't going to understand that. They don't really care about that, to be honest with you, because y'all think y'all friends. Like you, me, yeah, hey, Joe down bad right now. James down bad right now. Give him a chance. And like, I just did a lot of stuff as far as like, um, you got like light waves, you got like frequency, like your body works by that. It heals by that. It does all kinds of stuff like that. You got supplements, especially things that help like a boost your, um, like your neurocognitive activity like and help repair you know at least whatever may be damage or or connections that's dormant you know in your neurological activity in your brain so i did a lot of stuff during my time playing and i still do stuff now after you know i've been done playing and for him i think it just came down to a he wasn't willing to risk it for what the reward or lack of reward was for him would um that's that's where i see i think you you saying the right stuff i mean i think it's the same way i think it's a lot of people just becoming a lot more you know aware you know i'm saying what's going on being able to save their money like looking at at the end of the day they weren't playing football to be now it's like it's a jump start like you're hitting the lottery every single year that you play you're playing the game that you love and you'll be able to set a jump start to this isn't wasn't their see-all be-all a lot of these dudes like you said smart dudes really really smart have a lot of other things that they want to do in their life have a lot of other visions have like families and just want to do other things and being able to play in the NFL for a lot for some people is that that jump start that nugget that when he hit that contract that three for 42 one year he made 16 million dollars he like this boom I could tuck nine of this now and I could not, I can go do whatever I want to do. NFL came and blessed me. I did what I needed to do and being able to like, that's generational money. So certain people are like, oh, I need two million, $3 million and I can literally live and do whatever I want, make my little investment. Me and my family, we don't need much. So some dudes that are just smarter, like I don't want to keep hurting my body, playing the game, been doing it since like they were little, a long way, keep going like all this time, all this wear and tear. It is a real thing. So bodies and just being able to take care of that stuff. So I can see how certain people could have their stuff right, figure it out. Like, look, this is what I need. I'm able to gracefully bow out. I have other plans. This was amazing. Like, no, I'm good. Some dudes don't have kind of that option. Like, this is football. This is what we do. Like, no, I'm going until the wheels fall off. I love this game. Like, no, are you kidding me? I'm getting to play this game, this child. I'm going to play until you're not going to let me play no more. So other people are like, there's different people that never had nothing. Like, nah, I didn't know what this could really change my life, my family's life. And other certain people, like dudes that just don't really need to do it. Families play in the league, fathers play in the league, got other businesses, got other things that. It's 24 hours in a day, but I'm actually just good at football. I don't need it. I'm just good at it. And it's dang, now I get to play in the league and y'all are paying me to do this. Like, I don't love it. You know what I'm saying? It's just, it's a thing that I do. I mean, you could love it, you just love your brain health more. You could love it, but you might kind of love it, what it brings to you. But people are in different situations. But when you're starting to see now, dudes that can step away from it, like understanding this thing is hurting my body. I got what I needed from it, and I literally have other things that I can go do now. I can see why. I can see it happening. Yeah. I think a lot of guys get into the league and they're like, you know what? I'm going to make enough money, so I ain't got to ever work again. And that is very, very, very rarely true, I should say. It's very rarely true that you actually get to be able to have that ability to do that because a lot of guys don't have that, you know, education of how to manage their money, what to do with their money. A lot of guys don't see the end coming. It's just a lot of a lot of dudes, bro. like when we think about the ones that are able to literally just gracefully bow out, we've seen just smarter, like not smarter, but just young, like young educated men that really just like, all right, this isn't what I, and it's not a bad thing, but they don't need it. You know what I'm saying? Like they don't need to feel like the wear and tear on their body. I have other plans to go do other things. They got a plan B. That's just something. They have a plan B.
