Sierra Mead discusses her personal health journey from chronic constipation to severe endometriosis, explaining how she resolved her condition through diet rather than surgery. She shares insights on body autonomy, natural health practices, and announces the Southern Utah Holistic Health Summit featuring speakers like Barbara O'Neill, Gary Brecka, and Dr. Sherry Tenpenny.
Insights
- Conventional medical interventions (surgery, pharmaceuticals) often mask symptoms rather than address root causes, and dietary changes can be more effective than invasive procedures
- Women's menstrual cycles function as a detoxification pathway for eliminating excess estrogen and toxins, making hormonal suppression through birth control counterproductive
- The body's natural defense mechanisms (fever, inflammation) are often inhibited by standard medical practice, prolonging recovery rather than supporting healing
- Oral health is directly connected to systemic health; infections in the mouth correlate with serious diseases including cancer
- In-person health conferences create community and enable deeper learning than digital content, particularly for those transitioning from conventional to natural health approaches
Trends
Growing consumer skepticism toward conventional medicine and pharmaceutical interventions, driving demand for natural health educationExpansion of holistic health events and conferences as alternatives to traditional medical educationIncreased awareness of environmental toxins (mold, microplastics, heavy metals) in homes and water suppliesRise of biological/holistic dentistry as a specialized practice addressing oral-systemic health connectionsSocial media and online influencers (Barbara O'Neill, Gary Brecka, Dr. Austin Lake) becoming primary health educators for consumers dissatisfied with conventional medicineGrowing market for mineral-rich salt products and advanced water filtration systems among health-conscious consumersIncreased autism and mental health diagnoses in children correlating with vaccine schedule expansion, driving parental research into alternative approachesNervous system regulation emerging as foundational health concept, with grounding and touch-based therapies gaining mainstream attention

Why are we not taught that our cycles are a detox pathway for us? Yeah, there's probably tons of girls that don't even know that. Right. And don't understand why they have endometriosis, why they have PCOS. Their doctors are like, just take a birth control pill. They don't understand the repercussions of birth control or the fact that that's making things worse. Did you know that as a man, you can reset the nervous system for your children and your wife? It's like this, you know, superpower that men aren't taught, but it's really powerful. So if your wife or your girlfriend, somebody's like freaking out or, you know, maybe having PMS or whatever, all she needs you to do is... All right, guys, we got Sarah on the show here. Gonna be filming at her event here in Utah by the time this episode's out. I think it'll be in a week or two. Yeah. So thanks for coming all the way here. Yeah, thank you for having me. I appreciate it. Yeah, I stumbled across your event, saw the lineup and I was like, I want to be there. Awesome. I know. We're super excited to have you come down and film some pods while you're there and stuff. So yeah, thank you so much. Yeah, let everyone know what the event is called, what it's about, why you started and all that. Yeah. Okay. So the name is So Long. It's Southern Utah Holistic Health Summit. So long. It's a mouthful. You don't have to remember it. Just remember South Summit. And so on Instagram, that's what we go by South Summit, our website, Utah South Summit. So tried to shorten it a little bit. Yeah, so it's kind of a little bit of a story, like why I'm just crazy enough to start something like this, because putting on big events is a lot. It's a lot of work. It is a lot of work. So myself, like many other people, I've had my own personal health journey. And I think that that's what usually starts most of us down the rabbit hole of exploring health options and looking outside the box for things. So mine started when I was really young, 10, 11. And it just started with chronic constipation, which seems like something that is not that big of a deal. But it lasted my entire life. Dang. And I have it under control now. But when you let it go on for so long and not address it and not think that that's anything serious, it just causes a ripple effect in your body. So it went from just being constipated all the time. I was diagnosed with IBS, irritable bowel syndrome, which basically means nothing. It means that they don't know what's wrong. They don't know how to help you. So they're just slapping a name on it. And I then as a young teenager had my appendix removed, which doctors just think that they can go in and cut out your organs. And it doesn't matter. And if you learn what your appendix does for you, it took my constipation problem and just amplified it. Because your appendix directly helps you with those kinds of issues. So it's like, nope, you don't need that. We'll just cut it out. And so I didn't understand, of course, I was a young teenager, but my parents didn't understand either that this was going to have a ripple effect. That led into endometriosis, which as a woman, most of us are dealing with something like that in endometriosis or PCOS or something. And I didn't learn until later on as an adult that all of these things were just one right into the next or into the next. Like, if you learn about the functions of the body, you can see very clearly that this is where you're going to end up if you don't address these problems early on. So mine, this is where it gets a little bit crazy. Mine got so severe, my endometriosis, that I started bleeding from my belly button. I didn't even know that was possible. I didn't either. Like, how crazy is that? It's like insane. I had doctors like being like exactly that. What? I've never seen that before. I've never heard of that before. This is crazy. I finally actually called my uncle, who's an OBGYN, and he had to go back and look it up in his textbooks. And he's like, oh, yeah, okay, it's here in my old, old textbook. And it's called umbilical endometriosis. And so I had endometrial tissue attached to the umbilical inside, and it just wore its way through the tissues to where it was bleeding out of my belly button. Crazy. Yeah. And so I was on like a healthier journey. I was, you know, making slow changes throughout my life just because I'm like, oh, I realize sugar makes me feel worse. And so I'd stop eating sugar for a period of time. And then I'd go back to eating sugar. And then I recognized that this or that started affecting my, uh, how I would feel. So I'd cut that out of my diet. Um, or I'd learn something and start applying that to, you know, so my progression to getting healthy was slow. But at the time that all of this was happening, is when I really started taking it serious, like, okay, I need to, I need to feel better because I was in so much pain that I was like curled up in bed for two weeks out of every month. And I'm like, okay, I can't live like this. And um, I had, uh, my youngest was a teenager starting high school. I'm like, I need to be able to show up for her. And so I went the traditional route. I had surgery. I actually had three different surgeries. Um, nine months later, it came back again. Geez. And so that's where I got super, super serious. Got really strict with my diet, cut everything I could possibly think of out. And I am really happy to say that I have cleared up my endometriosis. Wow. Hasn't come back. Just from diet. Yeah. Holy crap. Yeah. You got three surgeries and you're saying the diet was more effective than that. Yep. And I wish that I would have known this beforehand. I would have saved myself three surgeries. What were the surgeries? So one of them was, um, what's called laparoscopic surgery and where they go in laparoscopically into your abdominal and, um, they remove any endometrial tissue. And when you have endometriosis, it attaches itself to all of your organs on the outside of your uterus. So it can be, um, on your stomach, on your intestines, on your bladder, and they go in and basically laser that off. Holy crap. That sounds intense. Um, yeah. I mean, luckily the recovery for that one was the easiest one. But that's worse. Yeah. Um, then another surgery I had was an ablation because my, uh, cycles were so difficult and painful. So that's where they go inside your uterus and they basically cauterize the inside of your uterus. And sometimes it, for some women, you don't ever have a period anymore. Other times you still will, but it's less. Um, I wish I would have never done that because knowing what I know now, um, our, it's a woman, we're really lucky that our cycles is a detox pathway. I just learned that a few years ago. I didn't even know that. Right. So periods are a detox? Periods are a detox. Wow. Yeah. I just made me look at them so differently. Yeah. And I like, we're so lucky to have an extra. I feel like a lot of people just accepted getting ripped off by their bank monthly fees, overdraft fees, ATM fees. Like, why are you paying money just to use your own money? That's why Chime caught my attention. Chime is changing the way people bank with fee-free banking built for you, not the bank. Pathway to be able to detox, because when you think of that, you think of the standard, right? Being able to go to the bathroom, sweating, our skin, and for us girls, your period is an extra detox. That's how you eliminate extra estrogen that's in your body and build up of toxins. And I just completely eliminated one of those pathways for myself. You stopped having periods after that surgery? Yeah. Holy crap. Yeah. So I mean, sometimes I will have just a little bit, and so I'm grateful for that. But sometimes I don't. Wow. So yeah, the things you learn after the fact, right? Yeah. So, but I'm grateful because it put me on this path of deep diving. And because I wasn't getting the answers from my doctors, I turned to the internet and I turned to social media. I started following all of these voices online and people like Barbara O'Neill, Dr. Austin Lake, Dr. Bradley Campbell, Gary Brecca, and I learned so much. And they were just speaking truth. They were educating people on how their body actually works and functions. And when you learn something, you're like, Oh my gosh, like, why is this not common knowledge? It feels almost criminal, right? That we don't know and understand these things. Especially for girls, like, why are we not taught that our cycles are a detox pathway for us? Like it just. Yeah, there's probably tons of girls that don't even know that. Right. Yeah. And don't understand why they have endometriosis, why they have PCOS, their doctors are like, just take a birth control pill. And they don't understand the repercussions of birth control or the fact that that's making things worse as well. So. Yeah, birth control is insane when you dive down that rabbit hole. Because half the woman in America are on it, right? Right. And then you look at what it causes. Yeah. Yeah. I know. It's crazy. Really, our medical system is so broken. It is so broken. And hey, guys, even though I'm out here in Vegas, you know me, I've never promoted a casino before. Not once that changes today because I've finally found a team I actually trust legends. That's legends with the Z. These are real people. I met them in person and here's what matters. They actually pay out and they do it fast. Sports, slots, original games, live table games, it's all in one place. They built a real reputation and right now you get 100% match on your first purchase. If you're in the US, they're live in 39 states, including Texas, Georgia and Florida over at legends.com. And if you're outside the US, you could play at legends.io. Go check them out. Click the link below. Use code DSH. Check out the link below. Our bodies are incredible and what they're capable of. And when you just start learning even the little bit of what it can do, it's mind blowing. So my oldest daughter just barely had a baby. So we've been down this all the rabbit holes of like pregnancy and birth and all the things. Home birth versus hospital. Right. And she had a home birth. It was beautiful. One thing that I learned, because I did things traditional, but she went more natural. So one thing that I just learned is when you're nursing, there is communication between the baby and your skin. So if the baby is sick, their saliva has a certain chemical in it and that's passed through your skin when you're nursing to increase antibodies that your baby will need to help them recover from being sick. Wow. From the breastfeeding. Yeah. Wow. And I'm like, our bodies are so intelligent. Yeah, we think that we know better, you know. Yeah. And just here's a really super simple rudimentary example, but you know, we are all taught the second you get a fever to take Tylenol, a fever reducer. Yeah. And nobody ever stops to think that maybe you're inhibiting your body's natural reaction to being sick. You know, so our God given reaction is to have a fever. The temperature of your body increases to kill off whatever's going on inside. And we're like, no, we're just going to make it harder for our body to work. And so we're going to give it a fever reducer. So now we're dragging out that process when it could have been over so fast. Instead of learning how to support your body healthy and safely through a fever, we're like, nope, fever reducer, stop doing what you were designed to do to make me healthier. Like, it just, it's just doesn't make sense. It doesn't. Yeah. Because when people take a fever, they think of it as a bad thing. Right? Yeah. They think low, let me reduce that. Yeah. Yeah, they think it's not safe. They think that, you know, but really they're just, you know, prolonging their recovery. Yeah. It's like, get better faster. Which is not because the fever is helping you get better, right? Right. Yeah. So I mean, like I said, I after turning to online and learning all this stuff, I just started thinking, okay, I want to go see these people in person. I want to learn from them in person. I want more than just a three minute, five minute little clip of them explaining something. I want to really deep dive and hear what they have to say on different topics. So I started researching their events. Where can I go see them? And then I just started thinking, okay, I need to create my own. I need to bring all these people together. I want to see them. I want them all to be in one room. Let's make something incredible. That's where the magic happens. Yeah. Yeah. That's why I go to in person events, honestly, because the energy, the knowledge, the access, there's a lot. People underestimate what an in person event can do for them. You know, they're like, oh, is there a zoom link for this? I'm like, no, just come. It's not the same. No, be in the room. Yeah. Feel the energy and meet the person sitting next to you because the person sitting next to you is going to have an amazing story. And you might learn something from them. 100%. The people I meet at these events, the speakers, of course, but when you're just walking around the expo hall, yeah, and you're at the same booth as someone and you just, I've met friends, that way. Yeah, absolutely. I mean, we all feel like when we make this shift away from traditional medicine into trusting our bodies into natural health, sometimes we feel a little bit crazy. Sometimes we feel like we're on this road by ourselves. And so being able to come and show up and meet people and build a community for yourself, make friends and know that you're not alone in this. And I've learned so much just from conversations where sharing like, you know, I'm going through this or my child is going through this and you learn from different people's experiences and what works and yeah. Yeah, health is such an interesting topic because just a lot of unlearning you have to do, a lot of programming that you didn't even know was going on. So to go the natural route, you're seeing as like an outcast. Yeah, right. Yeah, for sure. Within your family, within your friend group. Yeah. So it's a little uncomfortable at first. Yeah, for sure. Yeah. Sometimes I just have a hard time biting my tongue when people are like dealing with something. I'm like, Oh, you gotta try this. Oh, you gotta try this, you know, and I really just wanted to be able to shout from the rooftops like all the things that I've learned. And this is my way of being able to shout from the rooftops. It's so heartbreaking to watch. I feel like a lot of people just accepted getting ripped off by their bank monthly fees, overdraft fees, ATM fees, like why are you paying money just to use your own money? Watch somebody struggle when you know that there's a better way to support their body and that the outcome for them will be so different if they trust. I think that's probably the thing that's the most criminal is that we have been taught to not trust our bodies anymore. Yeah, for sure. And last year we had Barbara O'Neill and that I would say is one of her biggest takeaways is teaching you to trust your body again. So this is just last year. We all think we know and understand how our digestive system works, you know, our stomach breaks things down, you eliminate like it's pretty basic. So she taught a two-part lecture, two hours each, so four hours total on the digestive system. I was mind blown by the time she was done. Just the detail of how our digestive system works, what makes it work better, what we do to ourselves that inhibit it, you know, all the things and you walk away with such an appreciation for your body, a better understanding. So when somebody tells you you need to drink water, you're not just taking that lightly, you're like, oh no, I understand, I really need to drink water. Water with electrolytes, right? Yes, yeah. Because apparently a lot of tap waters these days is not good for you. Yeah, absolutely. Yeah, I try to drink electrolytes and sometimes they say salt, that's salt to the water. Gary Bracca says that, right? Yep. And you could get fancy with it from there with hydrogen and all that, but yeah. Yeah, no, salt is amazing. It's like it can do so much for you. So yeah, a little pinch of salt in your water or under your tongue before you drink. It helps actually pull the water into your cells so that you're not just like peeing at water constantly, it's actually absorbing into your cells and hydrating you. Yeah, that's something I had to unlearn because growing up, my mom didn't let me eat salt, like we thought it was bad for you. Well, table salt is. Yeah, table salt. But if you get good salt, you need good salt. Yeah. A lot of the sea salt isn't good these days. I just found out, yeah, with the microplastics and the metals. Right, so we have one of our sponsors actually is Redmond Salt and they own salt mines in Utah actually. So one thing that's really cool about them is they have an underground sea and that's where they harvest their salt from. That's cool. And because it's underground, it's like this little sealed area. So, you know, we deal with chemicals that are being dropped in the sea and that's what's causing the heavy metals in sea salts or chemicals that are being sprayed in the sky. This is protected and so you get all these rich minerals. That's great. I gotta try them out. Yeah, they're awesome. They have a lot of really great products. So I'm excited to have them there. They will also have a booth there and so you get to check out all their products. Yeah, we'll definitely check them out. But yeah, water's such an interesting topic. Yeah, the water you bathe in, the water you drink. It's not good for you these days. I know. Like I have the craziest filter at my house. Oh, that's cool. You have to. Yes, I know. Especially out here, like Vegas has the worst tap water. Yeah, yeah. I think they measured it because there's a site that publicly measures all the city's water. Oh, okay. And there's like uranium. Oh my gosh. In the tap water here. Well, I mean, they used to, I don't know if you know this history, but they used to test all of the atom bombs here. That might be why. So my great, great, great uncle or something. So my family would run sheep and they owned property in Nevada and they would run their sheep down here and then they'd take them up to Cedar Mountain. And during the years where they were testing, there was so much fallout from that that they lost entire flocks. Like their flocks were being born with like missing legs and two heads and like crazy. Like straight out of a movie like Chernobyl. Yeah. So there's a couple books on it and stuff and how the fallout affected a lot of people. But yeah, that doesn't surprise me with like heavy metals and uranium and stuff in the ground. I mean, there's a lot of stays in the ground. It's not like it's going to go anywhere. Right. Yeah. We have an expert in mold coming to speak. I need to talk to him. Yeah. He's awesome. So he'll be talking about mold and different toxins in the home. And he has some mold dogs. And he'll actually be in the area setting up appointments for anybody in the area that wants to have their dogs come and test their home. And we're going to see if we can get him to do a little test with the dogs on the stage and hide the mold and then go find it. Well, a lot of hotels are mold, especially in Vegas, because they close the windows here because a lot of people are jumping off when they lost their money. So like there's no ventilation. There's no airflow. So hotels have a ton. You can smell it the second you enter the room. Yeah. Some people are very sensitive. I'm not, unfortunately, but some people could just smell it instantly. I can. Oh, really? Yeah. Was there any in here? No. Okay, that's good. That would have been awkward. Well, in the older buildings, because it just rains and then, you know, gets mold. It's common. Right. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, if you can open up your doors, open up your windows and stuff, that's the best thing you can do for sure. Yeah. But a lot of people are dealing with illness from that. They don't even know they're living in it. Yeah. It's kind of like this like secret, like deadly killer that people don't think about and don't know about. And you have, even testing for it is hard. Very hard. You know, so I got a test at my house, but like, they just picked a piece of the ceiling. Like they didn't test the whole house. You know what I mean? Did they bring in dogs? No. Yeah, they need to bring in dogs. Yeah, you're the second person who told me this now. The dogs can really smell it out. Yeah, it's kind of cool. They've got videos online. You can watch their dogs go and do their thing and stuff. So it's fun. That's cool. What else have you been researching in the health space? Oh, gosh. There's a lot of different topics right? I know. So well, let me tell you a little bit about what we've got coming. So we have, on top of the incredible keynote speakers, we also have Dr. Michelle Jorgensen. She's a biological dentist. And so she'll be talking about the connection between our mouth and our entire body. And I feel like that is one. I feel like a lot of people just accepted getting ripped off by their bank monthly fees, overdraft fees, ATM fees, like why are you paying money just to use your own money? That's why Chime caught my attention. Chime is changing the way people bank with fee-free banking built for you, not the bank. No overdraft fees, no monthly fees, and access to thousands of fee-free ATMs. Honestly, the benefits are kind of stacked. With direct deposit, Chime members can get up to $1,150 in annual rewards, fee-free. They've also got SpotMe, which lets you overdraft up to $200 fee-free and real customer support 24x7 actual humans. My younger self would definitely have benefited from something like this. And that will blow people's minds because they don't understand the connection between our oral health and our entire body. So one thing that she says regularly is she's never met a single person that's had cancer that didn't also have an infection in their mouth. Holy crap. Yeah. So it's a 100% link. Yeah. Jeez. Yeah. I mean, insane. People don't understand the dangers of root canals. Yeah, those are dangerous. Yes. So she'll talk a little bit about that as well. So yeah, we're excited to have her just kind of open that world for people and be more aware of how connected that is for our body. I mean, pretty much if you look in like where the infection is in your body, that's tied to a specific area in your, you know, at a specific organ or area in your body and stuff. I'm never going back to a traditional dentist. Right? I see a what a holistic one out here. Nice. It's amazing. Yeah. They clean my teeth every three months with ozone therapy. Oh, nice. Have you heard of that? Yeah. Yeah. So no, like, because some of the old dentists use weird cleaners. There's like microplastics in it and weird stuff, heavy metals. Yeah. So that's big. They take a scan and use AI to see your results. Nice. Tell you if you have cavities. And then, yeah, they have the connection. So they see where your cavity is and connect it to the rest of your body, which I like. Yeah. Yeah. That's awesome. Yeah. We have one office in St. George as well. That's a biological dentist as well. So and they are so busy when you call to make appointments. They're like three months. Doesn't surprise me. Yeah. Doesn't surprise me either. Yeah. Because they're people aren't getting the dental care they need. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. We also have another vendor actually that's coming and they specialize in educating dental offices in going more natural. That's cool. And so I'm excited to have them and hopefully some really good people can make some connections with them to, you know, because the services need to be available to more people and they just need to know, you know, what's out there and stuff and dentists need to be educated. I agree. Yeah. Right now there is a bit of a price curve, I think, for if you want to go biological versus regular, but hopefully it can get closer to each other. Yeah. Right. Yeah. Absolutely. Yeah. I never want price to be a factor for health. No. And the more we can bring awareness to all of these things, the services, the products, all of it, it's going to help because, you know, the best companies kind of have the corner edge right now where they can charge a lot more, but bringing more awareness, more people just helps with the, you know, natural flow of competition in the market. And so it makes things more affordable for us as the consumer. 100%. That's awesome. That Barbara spoke last year. She is a legend. She is a legend. I've seen her stuff for years. Yeah. Have you ever seen her in person? No, I'd love to meet her, but I remember she got canceled too or something. Yeah. That was BS. She, well, she's banned from her own country pretty much. You can't, right? No, Australia. Oh, Australia. Yeah. So she'll go home because her family lives there, but she's not allowed to teach at all. She'll get a huge fine if she's caught teaching. Even if it's on social media or how does that work? I don't think they can control that because it's, yeah, I don't know that they can control that. Still, so she can't teach in person. That's crazy. Yeah. She can't teach in person. So she owns a health retreat in Australia. And so when she's home, she's around there, but she's not allowed to go in and teach any classes that are happening. That's insane. Yeah. Australia, huh? Yeah. So basically when it all happened, her husband was like, well, you can give it up and be home and enjoy retirement, or you can start traveling overseas and keep teaching. And she says, I'm going to travel because this message needs to get out. People need to understand that how God designed their body. And so she just started traveling and one random person was like, Hey, can I film you and put you up on YouTube? But she's like, sure. And she just went crazy blew up from that. Yep. That's awesome. So her videos are amazing, but it's nothing like seeing her in person. Like we were talking about, I mean, I've followed her for years to have watched tons of her stuff. I even bought her course and listened to some of those lectures. Sitting in front of her in person is a whole different thing. Yeah. Like just she's amazing. Yeah, you're paying for that access. That's how I see it. Yeah. Because anyone could buy the book, but when you're with them in the room, you could ask whatever you want. Yeah. And she's so gracious and just spends the time to connect with people. That's awesome. You know, she'll sit in line forever, signing people's books and taking pictures and loving on all the babies. She loves the babies. So yeah, I mean, she's very personable and just so intelligent. I mean, she's 70 years old, standing up on stage, no notes, not a single like little screen, bullet points, nothing, everything is off the top of her head. She's, you know, she's the queen of the whiteboard. So she's writing everything down and we even switched topics on her last minute. We're like, Hey, instead of this one, we've had a few people asking about this other topic. Can we switch? And she's like, Sure. Wow. She gets up and does it. That's impressive. Yeah. Yeah. Good for her 70s still with recall like that. Yeah. That's on her. Yeah. Average lifespan in the US is 71 for a male now. Oh my gosh. Isn't that nuts? That's sad. It's going down. Yeah. Used to be 75, I think, for males. Yeah. And that's just sad because we, our bodies are built to last. They are built to withstand so much, but we have to understand how to take care of it. And I'm not the professional. I'm not the doctor. I'm just like regurgitating little things that I've learned from these people. And that's why I'm like, I want to see them in person because I want to continue to learn. I want to continue to better my health and my families. Like when my kids are dealing with something, man, I'm like all over it. What can I learn? What can I research? What can help? For sure. You know, that's usually the biggest motivator and factors. You know, we put ourselves on the back burner way too often. But if we can prioritize our family, and we really need to prioritize ourselves too. And something like this is an opportunity to do that, you know, to come and prioritize yourself and your family. And we specifically do a longer conference so that it gives you permission to slow down for a minute. Some of the conferences that are two days, you feel so rushed. You're running around the whole time, making sure that you're hearing all the things. Typically, there's breakout sessions. You're going, which one do I choose? I want to hear both of them. You're having FOMO and anxieties. What am I missing in the next room? You know, definitely been there. And trying to run around to all the vendors. You don't want to miss something. And because this is a longer format, we don't do breakout sessions. There's one main stage. Everybody will speak from the main stage. There's no reason to miss anything. And I feel like a lot of people just accepted getting ripped off by their bank monthly fees, overdraft fees, ATM fees, like why are you paying money just to use your own money? And our attendees hate that, attendees hate having that anxiety. And the speakers don't like it either. They've all told us thank you so much for not doing breakout sessions. Because they want the biggest audience possible, you know. Yeah, they want to fill everybody's energy. They want to fill people in the room. Because I've done new events with like five breakout rooms at the same time and then only 20 people show up. These speakers are flying out speaking to 20 people. It's like... Yeah, I know it's disappointing for them. Yeah, I've been to events too with my daughter or a friend and we're like okay well we want both of these topics so you go to one and I'll go to one and then it's like you feel like well I was disappointing that you're not sitting there with the person that you came with. So yeah, you don't have to miss anything like this. For sure. I'm pumped to see Breco again. It's been a while. So I haven't seen him in person ever so I'm super excited to see him. He's from online, he's just full of life and energy and so I'm excited to see what he brings to the stage with that. On the complete opposite side of that, we've got Dr. Austin Lake who is so calm and just grounded. You watch his videos and you can just feel that presence that he has. So I'm excited to see that too. You got some really great speakers. I'm very excited because I'll be filming interviews with them there. Dr. Sherry too. Yeah, Dr. Sherry Tenpenny. Yep, she's been a health advocate for several years. She kind of was one of those ones that got canceled for speaking out against vaccines and things. So her lecture is definitely, I'm sure, going to be interesting. So yeah, we're excited to hear that. Yeah, vaccines is a hot topic. That's why your daughter probably did the home birth, right? Because they make you get five on day one. Yeah. Crazy. Yeah. Imagine being born and getting five. I know. What is that? Well, and it's just us today, we don't even know what that's like because we never did that. And even my own children, I didn't have that. Oh, really? They had some, but not five. Yeah. Now it's 72, I think. Yeah. 0 to 18. Yeah. And my kids didn't get 72. Yeah, I probably got like, because they bundled them. So you don't really know sometimes, but I probably got like 20 or 30. Yeah. Yeah. I think I'm probably on that. You probably got less. Maybe. Yeah, I think it went up. Yes, because I'm older than you. Yeah. Yeah. But yeah, I think that's about like where my kids were at too, is probably 20 to 30. Yeah. Which was fine. I think we weren't too messed up. But now the mental health and autism is like, dude, what is going on? Yeah. One out of 12 kids in Cali of autism now? I saw that. I just saw that the other day, somebody was talking about that. Yeah. It's crazy. And what I feel so bad for is parents feel so helpless. And they are searching for anything that will help their child, improve their child's life, make it easier for them. And what they don't realize is some of those things are, could be the simplest. I say simplest because like your diet seems like the simplest thing, but the reality of changing our diet and our lifestyle is hard. It's hard. It's getting easier though. The more people are talking about things, the more products that are out there, the more options are there. Even in my small town, we've got farmers markets with people growing organic food. We've got little farm stands that are there, you know, 24 seven. So you can go and get those things. People selling raw dairy, people selling, you know, hormone free meats, you know, butchers and stuff. So because of this shift in the conversation, more and more of those type of options are popping up. And you just need to know what it is that you're buying, what you need. And so it's just all comes down to that education piece. But being able to help your child is one of the best feelings ever. I can't wait to do that one. I don't have kids yet, but I'm excited with everything I know, all the people I know. When I get blood work now, I send it to five different doctors, get their opinion. Nice. You know, I don't just get one opinion. You got to get multiple opinions these days. I just went through my friend's misdiagnosis and oh my god, I wish we got multiple opinions because that was like a life or death thing. We got a misdiagnosis from one doctor. Wow. Yeah. Yeah, that's scary. Gary Breck always says that's like the third leading cause of death. Wow. Misdiagnosis. You know, our system just labels whatever they think it is. Well, and a lot of doctors don't even know how to read blood work anymore or they're not doing the right test or like Gary Breck's lecture on thyroid is fascinating. And it's a perfect example of how doctors aren't taught to do the right tests and then understand what they're looking at. So yeah. Yeah, it's crazy. My family physician that we use the clinic in town, they are fantastic at blood work and understanding blood work and explaining it to you so that you understand. So I'm excited to have them actually both the doctor in the office and the nurse practitioner will be speaking. Both are excellent. So I'm excited to have them be participating as well. But yeah, I mean, it's hard to find somebody that understands blood work. 100% blood work is an interesting one because they're comparing your results to the average of Americans, which are unhealthy. So they'll make you feel good when you see your results. You're above average. Yeah. But it doesn't mean you're healthy. Right. So I learned that. And then a lot of the basic blood work tests don't measure what you need. Yeah. You know, they have to specifically ask for it. Even a hormone panel, that they don't specifically ask for certain things. Yeah, if you don't specifically do that because your insurance doesn't want to cover that. So you have to specifically ask. And even then it might not cover it. Right. Yeah. I mean, that's a lot of pain out of pocket. Yeah, that's where we're at these days when you go to our route. Not much is covered. Right. So it is what it is right now. Yeah. Hopefully it's better. I'm excited to see the farmers market in your town. Whenever I travel somewhere, I go to the farmers market. Oh, nice. Yeah. They have two. There's the St. George Farmers Market and the Washington City Farmers Market. What days are those? Saturday mornings. I think I'll be there Saturday. Yeah, I think you will. Yeah. I think that's so yeah, bright and early because it's going to be hot. I know I'm welcoming everybody to my town in the middle of the heat. I know I get it. But it's we're going to be inside. We'll be in the convention center. So I'm used to the heat out here. I know, right? It's we'll be like maybe five degrees cooler than Las Vegas. So yeah. Yeah. Heat doesn't phase me anymore. Yeah. Vegas has trained me. Nice. It thins your blood. Yeah, it thins my lips and cracks my lips for sure. Yeah. No, I've lived in St. George my whole life. So yeah, I love the desert and the heat. So yeah, absolutely. But for anybody that is in Las Vegas, St. George, if you are not aware, is only an hour 45 minute drive. So less than two hours north of you. Super fast. Come up and see us. I mean, it's it'll be so worth it. Even if you can only make one day, one day of this conference is going to feel like an entire conference. I mean, it's just we have 25 different speakers and they're all talking about different things because we wanted a really well rounded approach to help not just like pigeonhole into one thing and only have our target market be that. And we need to address so many things on lots of different levels to really help move the needle for ourselves. We can't just do one thing and think that that's going to solve everything. Because our whole body works together. Yeah, health is such a full approach. Yeah. Like I just learned about the nervous system this week. Nice. I was just totally neglecting that. But if you don't have a good nervous system, your body can't heal. You know, so did they talk about grounding, like take your shoes off and go touch grass? Yeah, grounding, breath work, ways to reset your nervous system. Because your body literally won't heal to its full capacity if you're nervous system, if you're stressed out, basically. Yeah, which is crazy. I didn't even connect that. But did you know that as a man, you can reset the nervous system for your children and your wife? What? Just by touch. No way. Yeah. Just touching them? Wow. My wife always wants to hug me. So yeah, so it's helping to reset her nervous system. So take it seriously, be able to hold her and be strong and steady because that helps calm her nervous system down. We got a lot of powers, guys, huh? You do. It's like this, you know, superpower that men aren't taught. But it's really powerful. So if your wife or your girlfriend, somebody's like freaking out or, you know, maybe having PMS or whatever, all she needs you to do is hold her. Wow. So simple, right? Yeah. So simple. I need to do that more often. Yeah, I tell my husband too. That's fine. Well, we'll link the conference in the video. Yeah. The link to it. Anything else you want to close off with? Oh, gosh. If you feel like you missed out on the Biohackers conference that just happened, you got to come here. Well said. I mean, we are going to be closer to home, so it's going to be easier to get to and or like a fourth of the cost. Yeah, and more intimate. And yeah, more intimate experience. And I mean, in order to change your life, you have to start prioritizing, you know, what you do and your health and take it seriously. And my prayer over this whole thing is really for people that need it, that are praying for answers, that are looking for solutions for themselves, for their family members, those are the people that, you know, will show up and will be there. And I want to meet you all. I want to hear your stories. We want to make big change for a lot of people because if you can fix your health, you get to go out into the world and accomplish really great things. And I want so many people to go and accomplish amazing things. And but you got to be able to take care of yourself first so that you can, you know, do your day to day and do the normal and do the incredible. Beautiful. We'll check out the link guys if you're interested. Event is in a week from the episode coming out. So what are the dates June 17th through the 20th, you can come all four days or come one day if you can. Gary Brekka is speaking on Saturday. So if you can only come on Saturday, come Saturday. But your ticket will allow you to come and go as needed. So pop in and out. But yeah, awesome. See you there guys. Peace. Thank you.
