Lily Kate discusses feminism's historical inaccuracies, arguing it didn't secure women's voting rights or workforce entry, and explores how feminist messaging has inadvertently created counter-movements like red pill and incel communities. She also reframes femininity and masculinity as expressions of character rather than costumes, and discusses relationship dynamics, birth control effects, and the trad wife movement.
Insights
- Feminism retroactively claims credit for suffrage and WWII-era workforce participation that occurred independently, creating historical misattribution that fuels modern backlash movements
- Counter-movements (red pill, incel, femcel) are reactive formations to perceived male demonization in feminist messaging, suggesting polarized gender discourse creates unintended social consequences
- Femininity and masculinity are better understood as expressions of character virtues (fruits of the spirit) rather than aesthetic choices or lifestyle costumes
- Relationship satisfaction correlates more with intentional attention and quality time than material provision, challenging both traditional and modern relationship frameworks
- Birth control's hormonal effects on mate selection and attraction represent an understudied variable in relationship stability and satisfaction metrics

Feminism is actually based off of a four-way contradiction, and they all view women and men differently. But the supremacist feminists of the four have literally caused the red pill movement. And the problem is, like, we actually need men. I know it's not a very novel point to say, but they're creating a more difficult society to where, you know, men are like, all right, you want to compete against us? Great, let's do it. Let's see who wins. And women are naturally going to fall behind, so. Okay, guys, here with the feminist. No, I'm just kidding. The biggest feminist. Here with Lily Kate. How's life been? How's the conference been for you? Beautiful, wonderful. It's reminding me that revival is still here, even though infighting is really the big story of this conference. This is the most infighting I've ever seen on the right. It's kind of devolting. It's more than the left, honestly. Yeah, well, and of course, they're going to look at us and say, oh, well, they're weak, right in time for midterms. I mean, we really only have, what, until next November to get our Macs together, And that's really not a lot of time. It's going to take someone having to having to apologize or concede, which it doesn't look like is going to happen. Yeah. And you'd hope that we'd have more maturity than we do. But sometimes we don't. So but, you know, we have an epic we had an epic coalition builder in Charlie and obviously lost a national treasure. But someone has to step up to be the coalition builder and be the uniter. And, you know, it's very clear that you have to ostracize certain parts of the movement on the very, very fringes to say we're not that. But what else are we like? How many people can we include within the movement to make it? For sure. You still pissing off the feminists, though, on Twitter? For sure. Always. What's the latest one? What's the latest person you're going after? Well, it's more of an idea and a misconception that even conservatives fall into. So most people, when they hear I'm anti-feminist, they instantly think she doesn't want women to vote. And I'm like, well, my first take for that is we're never going to go back to a place where women won't be able to vote ever. So it's not even like it's just a red meat conversation is what I call it. It's never going to happen. So why are we even talking about it? But people mostly assume that feminism actually got women the ability of voting. And I actually thought that, too. I'm coming out with a book probably September next year. And I will show you the cover, but I'm not going to show everybody else. I just want to get your reaction to it. But it's called 50 Ways Feminism Failed or 50 Reasons Feminism Failed. And one of the first ones is we talk about the misconception that people believe that feminism actually got women to vote. And that's just not true. Suffrage is very, very different than feminism. Suffrage is a single issue legal movement that had a very definite end in the year 1920. Feminism is a broad ideological movement that seeks to restructure power and to restructure society. Those are two very, very distinct things. And so actually, if you do a just go on like Google, Google word search, right, and take all literature and all writing that has been published since the year 1500 to the year 1963. The word feminism is used 0.00000012 percent of all the words that are used. And so virtually feminism as a concept didn't actually exist in common society whatsoever until the year 1963 and 1964. And then if you elongate that search, you'll see a rapid J curve that spikes straight up because obviously in the 1960s is when feminism really was adopted into Marxist principles, invented and promoted through academia. So I always ask them, I say, how can you say that feminism can take credit for something that was accomplished so many years, literally 40 years before feminism was even an idea in the common, even in the margins of society? And so I'm doing a speaking tour this upcoming spring where I go to college campuses and I say feminism takes way too much credit. Here's the other thing that they take way too much credit for getting women into the workforce. You know, second wave feminism is all about women's equal access to the workforce. Well, in World War II, 40% of women were already in the workforce, not because of feminists and not because of their efforts to have women achieve workforce equality. It was because wartime efforts required female participation in the workforce so they could keep the economy going at all. That's, of course, Rosie the Riveter. That's what that whole government campaign was for. And so people believe and feminism retroactively takes so much credit for things that other movements and other forces have actually accomplished. So that's really what I've been fighting a lot recently. So it's kind of hijacked stories and made it seem like it helped. Yes, it rewrites history because, I mean, obviously we all think, great, women can vote. Awesome, cool. That's objectively probably a good thing for society. A lot of people on the right might vehemently disagree with me, of course. But, you know, I think people should all be able to have access to the ballot box, of course. But, again, feminism can't take credit for that, even though they agree with it. They can totally agree with something, but I don't think it's right for them to take credit. Have you had any debates with feminists? Not yet about this topic because I'm only just recently started like uncovering the fact. We talk a lot on this show about taking risks and trying to get ahead. But let's be real. The world feels shaky right now. AI is changing jobs. Markets are all over the place. Nothing feels guaranteed. And at some point you realize no one's coming to save you. You've got to protect yourself. And one thing people forget about is life insurance. If you're new to it, you're not alone. That's why I checked out Select Quote. That conservative, like even college students, I go to Turning Point events and I speak at a lot of college campuses. And even conservatives are like, well, I still want women to be able to vote. And I say, what does that have to do with feminism at all? And then, you know, I'm able to talk to them about this. So I'm getting a speaking series together to bring this idea to college campuses and prove it to them so they don't fall for the brainwashing that feminism. It is interesting how people just link the two like so quickly. Well, they link them because what suffrage claimed to serve was women and what feminism claims to serve is also women. And so to me, the conflation makes sense. And also so much of feminist messaging boils down to, oh, so you don't want women to vote if you're not a feminist. Like they claimed that they claim that they own women and I'm vehemently opposed to any movement that thinks it owns me just because I'm a woman, first of all. But, you know, once you find out that they take way too much credit for everything, you know, it comes less serious. Speaking of movements, what about the trad wife movement? Great question So the other speaking tour that I doing I let college campuses choose is I think both the right and the left have actually got femininity wrong There a lot of ways we could go with this One time I was talking to Michael Knowles back in 2023 And I said, Michael, what is femininity? And he, in his poetic nature, said it's sugar, spice and everything nice. And I appreciated that because I was expecting him to give me a checklist of all the things a woman should do around the house, how she should look, how she should operate. But he didn't. And that really reminded me that femininity is not a costume. And so trad wives are dressing up as feminine women and they look great doing it. And I'm sure a lot of the messaging is very, very exciting to a lot of women. And sourdough is great. And all of that, all of that's fantastic. But we have on the right reduced femininity again to a costume. The radical left says brightly colored makeup and a huge ball gown. That's what femininity is. even if you're a dude and you put that on like a drag queen, then you're feminine. The right says, well, actually, you have to be a woman to do it, but a sundress and shower dough and a Chip and Joanna Gaines looking house and 10 kids, that's femininity, but it's just not true. So I'm sure you've heard of the fruits of the spirit, right? Fruits of the spirit. Fruits of the spirit are a biblical, it's a biblical concept that you can find in Galatians 5, verses 22 and 23. And it is the list of the fruits of the spirit are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. And those are things that are an outpouring of a good serving Christian person. And so when I go to these college campuses, I tell, because they're high school students, they're college students, they're not necessarily, they're thinking about relationships, but they're not getting married usually. They don't have children yet in an ideal circumstance. They're still working on finding their own identities and actualizing themselves, which they should be. And so femininity and the expression of it is often this far off goal that so many young women look at and they're like, well, I'll be feminine once I have all these different things. But I tell them, I say, okay, so you're a woman, right? Your biology is female, right? Great. And then if you choose to express the fruits of the spirit, because of who you are biologically, you will be the most feminine version of yourself. Then I say the same thing for the guys. I say same set of attributes, same fruits of the spirit. If you express those as a man, you will be the most masculine version of yourself. So I free them up. I tell them you don't have to wait till you have a house or the car you want or the CEO job title or until you have, you know, you've cut a certain amount of weight that you're super jacked. Like you don't have to wait for those things to be a masculine man or a feminine woman. You can actually start right now because it's so much more of a posture of your heart and it's so much more linked to your biology, actually, than people like to say. And your expression, your relation to other people will be more feminine, respectively, or more masculine if you express the fruits of the spirit. So I think the conservatives have often wanted femininity and masculinity to be boiled down to a set of attributes and then into a costume, which is no different than what the left is doing. Yeah. Yeah. I don't know if the trad wife stuff works. There's new data on it. What's the data? Stay at home mothers cheats more than any other job occupation. would those single like sorry stay-at-home mothers be the types that are also trad wives because it depends what you mean by try look at trad wives as the content creator branch of the mom movement okay i think of them as mothers that stay at home and don't have like a nine-to-five job got it okay so maybe we differ on that a little bit i mean i'm probably a little bit more chronically online about it because that's where i you know operate and stuff but But so they're saying that stay-at-home moms cheat more often. More than other job occupations, yeah. Do you think that's because of, like, just cultural trends? Or what do you think that's from? I think the guys are just not giving them attention, honestly. You know what I mean? Well, the currency of women is attention. That's what they drive on. Yes, the quicker that men can actually understand that and give their wives. And the thing is, too, like, women are, they can be pretty high maintenance for sure. And it should be a goal to find a not very high maintenance woman and marry her, you know. But the maintenance is in the attention, right? And some women are materialistic and you can weed those out pretty quickly. But, you know, the maintenance is in the attention. If you give her five minutes of intentionality on your day before work and then as soon as you come home, like that will go a long way. We talk a lot on this show about taking risks and trying to get ahead. Let's be real. The world feels shaky right now. AI is changing jobs, markets are all over the place, nothing feels guaranteed, and at some point you realize no one's coming to save you. Even just that intentionality could really save a lot of marriages. in my marriage that like me just texting her every couple hours when I'm at the office means more to her than me like buying her a gift. I mean, everyone has their different love languages, but hers is attention. Whatever that one is. The quality time. Quality time. Yeah. Words of affirmation. Yeah. Those two. Right. Yeah. It's a beautiful thing. Like women, women operate best when they're being cored into. And that sounds so selfish, but think of it like the sun and the moon, right? The sun is there to reflect and then the moon or to shed light. And then the moon reflects what the sun is reflecting onto it. And women are built to receive. And then because of our nurturing nature, people say, oh, you're just more nurturing because you're a woman. No, she's more nurturing because she has nurture coming in and it naturally flows out of her. That's what the feminine does. And it's so beautiful. But if she's not having any of that input, anything downloaded into her from the men that she wants that validation or approval from, which is not a bad thing, then she's not going to be able to output. Oh, my gosh. It's loose. Yeah. She will not be able to output a good amount of nurture. Yeah. And she will feel that unsatisfaction. And unfortunately, like I said, the currency of women is attention. It is. Guys, take notes. Also, find a low maintenance woman. Where would you rank your maintenance levels? Sorry? Where would you rank your maintenance levels? High or low? High need for attention, but a very, very low need for materialistic stuff. Okay. I very much don't care about that kind of stuff at all. At all. Like I want you to be able to protect and provide those are like the basics for sure. But I don't need stuff. I don't need gifts. I don't need diamonds. I just want I just want good conversation. And I want to know that, you know, if I were to bring something to you, you would I would be able to push up against you and you wouldn't fold over immediately. OK. But I'm also I was a speech and debate person. I'm also you know, I love debating. I love speaking. So I'm able to more more than other women probably separate ideas from people. Right. Because I'm not a yell. I don descend into anger very quickly I don yell I don do all those things But you know I love discussion So the more I can discuss with my person the better everything is So you actually don raise your voice in disagreements That impressive No, because, I mean, it literally helps nothing. It actually riles you up more. It's like so hard to fight sometimes. Like, I work on it actively, but sometimes I'll just do it without even noticing. You know, I'll raise my voice a little bit. Yeah, and the problem is it's just not productive. It doesn't get you anywhere. And I mean, it's accurate if you need to take some time to cool off. And that's totally valid. Like you should do that. I think in those moments, though, advocating for your needs. Hey, I need 30 minutes or I need six hours or I need to talk about this with you tomorrow. Setting those parameters and communicating that to your partner will help them not spiral. Yeah. Which is a big thing. Advocating for yourself in those moments is also tremendously difficult. It takes a lot of self-reflection. But I found that a walk, sleeping it off. You know, the Christians always say, don't go to bed angry. And it's like, well, actually, sometimes you can go to bed angry and then you'll wake up the next morning and realize it was so silly what you were angry about. And it's actually not even a hill worth dying on anymore. And so, you know, whatever works for your relationship, whatever works for your marriage, for conflict resolution is great. I just think more communication is always better and raising voices never, ever, ever helps. Two more movements. I want to get your opinion. Let's do it. I don't really chase trends anymore. I just want clothes that work, feel good and last. I stopped buying a lot of clothes and started buying better ones. stuff that fits right holds up and i actually wear that's why i've been going with quince they've got basics i actually use organic cotton sweaters clean colos lightweight jackets stuff that holds up to daily wear and still looks good quality solid and everything's built to last what makes quince different is how they do it they work directly with top factories cut out the middleman and you're not paying for brand mark off just quality clothing and they only partner with factories that meet high standards for craftsmanship and ethical production refresh your wardrobe with quince go to quince.com dsh for free shipping on your order and 365 day returns that's q u i n c e.com dsh now available in canada too free shipping and 365 day returns quince.com we'll go crazier and crazier but we'll start off with red pill movement it's like the counter to of feminism right are you pretty familiar with that yeah yeah um it's a reaction to feminism which can't blame them feminism campaigns actively against men and against masculinity because there are four different feminism is actually based off of a four four-way contradiction and they all view women and men differently but the supremacist feminists of the four have literally caused the red pill movement and the problem is like we actually need men uh i know it's not a very novel point to say but they're creating a more difficult society to where you know, men are like, all right, you want to compete against us? Great. Let's do it. Let's see who wins. And women are naturally going to fall behind. So I think feminism is to blame for red pill. And you're seeing the destruction of that because now you're seeing a flood of articles. I'm 63 and alone. Where are all the good men? Man, feminism hasn't delivered the things that I've wanted it to. I want to get married and have a kid, but it's too late. All the good men are taken. And you're seeing a generation of women who it's so tragic. We talk a lot on this show about taking risks and trying to get ahead, but let's be real, the world feels shaky right now. AI's changing jobs, markets are all over the place, nothing feels guaranteed, and at some point you realize no one's coming to save you. Now that's Shopify dot NL are seeing the consequences of what they've done, what they believed in, what they pushed. And, you know, every woman, no matter how feminist or not feminist, is looking for love. She's looking to be married. She's looking to be given that honorable position of being a wife. And feminism actively pushes against women able to do that, being able to do that. And that's tremendously, tremendously sad. But it's their own fault, really, and I can't have no one else to blame but them because if you're going to continually tell men that they're the worst, then they're going to go create their own movement, their own spaces. And then women, of course, will naturally come in and take over, like you're seeing with gaming, for example. Now there's female gamers everywhere, and the guys are like, could we just have one industry? That's actually something I always tell young women who are getting into relationships. I always tell them, don't co-opt all the time that your boyfriend or whoever has. Let him hang out with his friends. let him be with his friends. And don't say you hung out with them for five hours, so you have to hang out with me for six. You will always be there to welcome him in. You want to make him come to you, right? Let him have his time with his friends because he needs that so much more than you need time with him right now. It's so important. And, you know, because I dated someone for a long time who his security and what he loved were his friends. And I loved that for him. We were able to work through that. And I was able to say, I know that you need this and you value this and this is so good for you that whenever you're ready and you're done, I will be waiting here, probably have cooked dinner and with a big hug. And I want to hear about every detail of everything because I loved him and I loved his friends for him. And I wanted to encourage him in that. So Erica Kirk said something really beautiful when she was reflecting on her relationship with Charlie. He was often a little bit sad that he had to work long hours. And she said, you know what? Home will always be here. And I want to encourage young women with that and say, even when you're with your boyfriend and you're out living to you shouldn't be living together but maybe you're not living together but you're always trying to figure out more time with him and you're trying to bring him in but you're frustrated at him and you're trying to you know guys need to have guy time say i will always be here right if you're in it for the long game i will always be here i want you to go out and have this guy time because guess what it will make him want to spend time with you it will make him want to spend time with you and it'll be wonderful and you will also hold onto less anger and resentment if you just let him go into that. Thank you for saying that because a lot of women and men will get jealous if their significant other leaves the house for a long time. And then you mess up the whole dynamic of the guys group if one guy has the girlfriend there. Like I'm all for everyone bringing their couples, doing couple hangouts. That's great. But if it's supposed to be guy time and the girls there, it is the entire dynamic. The same thing when it's supposed to be all girls and the guys there. It's like, well, now you've put one person, the partner in an awkward situation where they have to serve the group and also have to serve the needs of their partner. And it just changes the whole entire dynamic. For sure. Last movement. I want to see what you say about this one. The incel movement. That's a hot one these days. Well, have you heard of femcels too? I haven't. Femcels are basically the female version of incels. Wow So there females that are choosing not to have sex Correct It not a very serious movement It really doesn have that much clause It more of a reaction to whenever a man they don like gets elected into political office You saw a big spike of it right after the recent election of Trump But again it is just a reaction to feminism If you are going to demonize men for decades and decades and decades invalidate them say that they trash and then also say that women are equal to men That the thing I never understand about feminism Men are trash but women are equal to men you just ended feminism right there of course yeah doesn't make any sense but um the incel movement is also just a i think a frankly a more immature reaction to it they say well if you're not gonna have us you know in your spaces if you're not gonna accept us as men then we'll just completely live life without you and i think sexual desire is something that is very very healthy and marriage as the bible has created is a way to civilize lust and to to kind of curb it and give it an institution to be let out in which is a beautiful thing um and so anyone who is any movement that is trying to take you away from marriage or institutions that civilize humans then that's a movement that is not not going to have any good fruit whether it's feminism or the incel movement or red pill or trad wife movement or whatever there's this new technology floating around that people cannot stop talking about. It's called the light system. Before you roll your eyes, it's not some gadget you strap on or supplement that promises the world. Every once in a while, I come across something that actually stops me in my tracks and the light system is one of those things. This isn't a supplement. It's not a biohack. It's a full-on energy environment built to help your mind and body synchronize, recharge, and operate at a higher level. It uses light patterns, color frequencies, and coherent energy fields. All the stuff that your body naturally responds to to create a coherent energetic field around you. People are saying they feel more clear, more centered, more aligned in their environment. And honestly, the science behind it is fascinating. I've seen a lot of wellness tech, but the numbers coming out on this new study of the light system are actually insane. Researchers measured human cheek cells before and after sitting in front of the system and get this, a 30 minute session boosted cellular conductivity by 61%. The study even showed increased conductivity in isolated DNA, which is associated with stronger structure and better repair pathways. The result, more clarity, more balance, and more alignment. You could save $500 now if you go to thelightsystems.com and use discount code SEAN. It's very interesting. As a guy, you get criticized if you have a low body count and also high, not as much, but like Nick Fuentes, for example, when he went on Pierce, he was roasting him for having a zero body count. I always felt ashamed as a guy not having slept around growing up. Yeah. It's really interesting, right? The girls, it's the opposite. Totally the opposite. Yeah. But it's also, it's funny because that's actually feminist messaging because their entire sexual revolution narrative is built on the idea that men and women relate to sex, that men and women should relate to sex in the same way. Obviously, we don't. Yeah. But they say all these promiscuous men are going out and having all this sex, all these women, getting all these body counts, and women should do that. And so it's just really weird that now men are so praised for having a high body count because it was like the sexual revolution was kind of an angle getting to that, which is like pointing that out has never been something good. And then, of course, the biggest winners of the sexual revolution are the promiscuous men because now sex is a lot more cheap and it makes people, it makes dating a lot harder for people like me, right, who have to compete with whores. I quite frankly felt like a loser growing up. like just not having a high body count or slept with anyone. But I hope that feminism created that the praise of that archetype because they seek to compete. I could see that. Right. Yeah. So when they say that that's what's happening and women should compete with men in every aspect, they're idolizing the promiscuous male. Now I'm proud of it, though, to be honest. Absolutely. Like I've only been with one woman. I'm proud of that. Awesome. So countercultural. Yeah, I know. Right. But I feel like that's a flex these days. It totally is. Yeah, it completely is, because now you are bonded with her and will bond with nobody else. And your bonding chemicals literally will like fire in different ways. And no wonder women are so broken and then more more badly seek attention. It's the brokenness. It's the boundarylessness. It's all of those things. Bad decisions, as C.S. Lewis talks about often in his writings, compound. Good decisions also compound. But, you know, there's a lot of. And now they're doing all the studies on birth control, how it's attracting women to guys they don't actually like. Yes. Crazy. Too many times it's been she's on birth control in the relationship, and then she's off birth control, and she loses all attraction to him. Crazy. I can't believe the Maya could be hijacked like that. No, wild. It's absolutely wild. Did you go through that, or were you ever on the pill? No. My dermatologist tried to put me on it for my very— Dermatologist? Yes. So if you go get acne medication or acne treatment, there are certain medications that they will require you. if they prescribe a medication to you, they require you to also be on birth control. What? Yeah. That's crazy. Of course, my mom was sitting in there. I was like 15. And I just wanted like a little antibiotic, right? And so anyway, this doctor lady comes in and she's like, well, we can put you on this most extreme acne medication. We'll also have to put you on birth control. And I was like, I never ever heard of it. I was like 15. And my mom was like, absolutely not. She knew. Oh, she knew. Because, well, and the big thing was I was a dancer at the time. And the only women we'd seen go on birth control gained 30 pounds in six months because their hormones were all out of whack and their body was holding on to so much more chemicals and so much. It was just confused. It was all swollen. So my mom was like, honestly, that's not something we're willing to do because of the potential weight gain. And the doctor yelled at my mom. She said, how dare you talk about weight and fatness in front of your daughter? That's crazy. And I was like, I was like, ma'am, I'm a dancer. Like, I actually don't want to be fat. It matters to you. And not saying that birth control would have made me fat because then the doctor lady said, she said, well, I'm on birth control and she was very skinny and I'm skinny. And my mom was like, that is not something that a doctor should ever say. And a doctor should never yell and shame a mom for trying to protect her own daughter. Like insane. Unreal. Yeah, I was on Accutane growing up. Was that the one they were trying to play? That's exactly it. Worst seven months of my life, honestly. Yeah, it's brutal. Destroys you. I had liver issues for years. Oh my God. I just got it fixed like a year ago. No kidding. Well, I'm glad you got it fixed. Because the liver is the only organ that regenerates. I know. I thought it could have been from alcohol, too, but I think it was mainly that. Yeah. They had to test your blood every month just to make sure you weren't dying. That's crazy. But, yeah, no, I mean, genuinely, if you get pregnant and you're on Accutane, your baby will likely have deformities and abnormalities. And so that's the precaution that dermatologists take. That's why they put girls on birth control, because they need to prevent pregnancy at all costs. That's crazy. Yeah. Oh, no. Well, Lily, where can people preorder your book and keep up with you on social media? Oh, my God. Yeah. Well, we haven't had a date yet. Oh, let me show you the cover. Oh, yeah. Show me the cover.
