Let's get right into it. It's topic of the show. Timothy. Yep. You came out of paternity leave retirement to come in here for Pokemon Presents February, 2026. Was it worth it? Absolutely. Just, I mean, Hey, Gen 10, I think looks great. That to me is like the one takeaway. Obviously we can talk about the Pokemon presents this being the 30th anniversary. Am I let down by that? Yes. Just from a presentation standpoint, that didn't think about everything we watched in the pre-show. Exactly. And how hype all that shit was to get here. Like, okay. At the end of the day, that stuff doesn't really matter. What matters is the goods. I think overall, everything they talked about, which we'll go through, we knew about. There wasn't really any real major surprises. There was no surprise. But there were good things. There were good answers. Like, cool, we know April for Pokemon Champions. That's awesome. We know March now for Gale of Darkness coming to GameCube. It's like, great. Some of the questions we've been having are now being answered. And then, of course, we got to see Gen 10 for the first time. And I can't wait to talk about that because there's a lot there that I think looks really, really good. I think that we need to keep our expectations in line with what is at all possible from a Pokemon game with all the considerations that we have to keep in mind. Mainly that it's not just the games. The games are a conduit to the TV shows and the cards and toys and everything. So no matter what, there's always going to be some limit to the core mainline Pokemon games, which isn't the best news to hear, but could be a good thing when used correctly. So far, this looks great. I want my voice acting. We'll find out later. Maybe. Maybe not. Whatever. but 2027 switch to exclusive hell yeah yeah i think i i think we start with gen 10 i do but even before then what would you rate this on the kind of funny review scale uh this is one that i don't i wouldn't even want to put a number on because it's just like it's i if i i'd go seven i guess okay like just because yeah they they didn't piss me off with gen 10 that is so that you're worried of being pissed off yeah that's where you would say oh yeah you go into a pokemon presents kind of ready to be like god i hate my life i don't hate my life why do i hate why am i saying like very excited i can't wait to watch that trailer over and over like i'm very excited to get back to seeing footage again it's off the screen right now and that is concerning to me you know what i mean i missed it i can see the winds and waves you can hear them that was the big part of it yeah yeah i i obviously enjoy being here with you and waking up for it's what i've expected from years of watching you react to pokemon where it's like don't get your high you know what i mean like what are they going to do how can they meet this they have so many products to get through and all that jazz i would have loved more from gen 10 i liked what i saw i'm not taking this is the most they've ever shown from a reveal yeah yeah like this we should be shocked that we got to see in engine starters yeah they don't do that yeah yeah i'm happy yeah um and i'm not unhappy with it i would say on the kind of funny scale i'd say it's a six it's okay maybe six five you know what i mean like again we enjoyed it and there's enough stuff there that i'm excited for again i think we don't want to take away from the fact that if we didn't know fire red and leaf green were going to be out today if they had just said that that would have been a way bigger deal it would now just already jumping into the like what am i upset of course i have to be upset you're tim i was hopeful that the announcement would come with like yeah fire and leaf green are out today they're out right now everybody can go buy them right now but also let's see if i can download you're gonna be able to buy the other pokemon adventures over the next couple years yeah Gold, silver, hard gold, soul silver, ruby emerald, all of them, right? And that didn't happen. So it's like we're still in that waiting period of will we be able to play these games again or not? Are we just going to every anniversary, go back to Kanto in a different form and never actually move on from it? That is a little concerning to me, but hey, it's fine. Pokemon's going to be here forever. So no reason to be upset. It's downloaded. It's a go. We're, of course, streaming Leaf Green right after this. My first time playing it. So I'm very excited for that. Yeah. Yeah. So let's get into it. And again, I think we obviously we can go and we will go through everything about it. But let's start with the meat. That's what you're here for. Show them the big card pack. That's what we'll do at the end. All right. If you can make it through the rest of the Pokemon announcements, we're opening up this giant press pack. Tim was sent. That is a giant pack of what it looks like a giant Pokemon pack. There's other stuff inside. We don't know what it is. Don't know. I call the Hawlucha stuff. timothy pokemon wind and waves of course this had been uh the rumored one we had seen this the leaked one uh at what point during this trailer were you worried they were just going to stop here and then because of course they went through and showed you all the different games and little drawings whatever then we got this game freaks and this is when roger burst out laughing were you afraid we were going to stop no no no because i know how they do these We didn't get to watch in the pre-show some of the videos I wanted to show you, which were like the Scarlet and Violet announcement. There's a pacing to the way they do these, and they usually do. I mean, we even did see, actually, for the 20th anniversary video when they announced Sun and Moon. They did the same kind of concept art thing. They didn't go through all the regions, but it was more just concept art of Sun and Moon. So them doing that here I thought was cool. It was like I didn't realize until Lumio City probably of like, oh, they are just going through all the different generations and leading to the new one. I immediately, though, liked the look of the Pikachus. Yeah. You know, like I know that it was just a CG thing, but there was the hair on Pikachu. We don't normally see that. Textured. You know, he's got some texture. And then when we saw the little, you know, the swinging couple at the end. OK, I don't know. I mean, yeah, these pictures be fucking. They do be fucking. They did look like it. I liked that a lot. It just got better after that for me. Okay, fair enough. Then walk me through. Yeah, is there any debate on who your starter is going to be here? Look, no, there can't be. There's a Pomeranian. Having said that, do you see this water gecko? Yeah, I do. I do. I'm obviously going Pomeranian, but, like, man, this is a hard choice overall. Gecko is cool. And, you know, thank you for pausing here, Because now I can actually take it in without, like, I want to let you know, Greg, this is how much I care about Pokemon. Sure. When we're watching this trailer, this popped up. I got so fixated on looking at each one of them that I started panicking that it was going to go away before I looked at the other. Sure. Fair enough. And if you look back at the footage of me, like, it wasn't until you said there was a Pop Raider that I realized there was a Pop Raider because I was so... I saw you processing. Yeah. I saw you processing a lot. There was a process going on. Yeah. I am a broken human being. But, yeah, now that we can just look at this, this is a pretty good trio. I like this a lot. I think a lot of times you get to, hey, here are your starters, and you go, there's one clear runaway on this one. For me, I want you to take Pombon. I want you to have that experience. I usually am a water starter. You know what I mean? When you look at Quaxley, when you look at for Alligator, eventually becoming him, not my starter I know. I'm talking about Totodile. But here I think I'm going to have to go Brout. the chicken well i think he's some kind of bird yeah i don't know if he's a chicken i don't know insult him he looks angry i don't know is he a chicken is he not a chicken now here's the big thing and i don't even want to put this out into the world because we all know it's going to happen i need this pomeranian to stay on all fours all right i need this thing to evolve into a bigger pomeranian i don't need him to stand up i don't want him by pedal please hold on i'm looking somebody super chatted a very similar thing mud boot super chatted said don't make the starters end up being bipedal furries and I'm happy yeah yeah what are the odds of that happening a hundred like yeah yeah prepare yourselves everybody this is my problem with these goddamn evolutions just don't do it let them just be let them just be I mean honestly I agree with you I'll never forgive you for what you did at Quaxley Pokemon Company every time I play gold and silver like my syndical stays a syndical yeah He's just so cute. God, I'm obsessed with this guy. I'm obsessed with this, Greg. Yeah. This is amazing. So Gen 9, I went to Prigatito, little kitty. Yeah, of course. And I named him Toretto because he kind of looks like him. Sure, I can't, though. Yeah. Toretto's a dog, though, okay? I'm worse. This thing's being named. Wow. I can't wait for this. It's a big moment. Very exciting. Big moment for you. Adorable. Talk to me, then, a little bit about going beyond the starters. this conversation of, yeah, 2027, and yeah, Switch 2 exclusive. I want to stay on starters for one more second. Sure. Just because, like, something I was thinking about recently that I don't think we talk about enough is, while the bipedal thing is kind of a meme, but also it's true, I love Gen 8 starters because Gen 8, like, it was Galar, which is, like, Europe, right? And it was, like, the, like, soccer-themed adventure. What they evolved into is kind of awesome. Scorebunny turns into a soccer player. Straight up like a professional soccer player. And then they had Intellion, the water one. He just turns into James Bond. His final evolution, he has a tuxedo on and he fucking shoots water out of his hand. It's sick as hell. Yeah, okay, I like that. Anyways, 2027, Switch 2. I'm happy. I'm really, really happy about this. I want to be clear. I want everyone to be able to play games. It would be great if this was on Switch 1 as well, just so more people can play it, so that the games can sell better, and all that stuff. Yeah. Which is good. But this is Pokemon we're talking about. This is Gen 10 after the debacle that was Gen 9. They'll never get away from it. Like, I saw in the chat before we got into this, I saw multiple people being like, I'm just expecting another performance mess or whatever. And it's like, damn, dude, that wasn't the narrative of Pokemon. Like, there were a multitude of problems with Pokemon games, but performance was not one of them. And now that is the number one thing people talk about when we're looking at these things. It's like, damn, y'all did some damage to the brand of the games, right? Yeah. So looking at this, I think that even more time, it's already been off cycle, like longer than expected to get the core Pokemon game. So another year. Yeah, usually it's three years, right? This has been four already? Something like that, yeah. And but just it's since we had a Scarlet and Violet, it's just been a good amount of time. And yeah, a little extra more. I'm so happy about it. And switch to exclusive. Like, let's just focus on one piece of. I love that. I am with you. Of course, there's so many switches in the wild. But like, I don't want to see this game held back by the switch one. We're back to this PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro, PlayStation 5 conversation. Yeah. Right. Where it's like, let's go. Jay says 100 percent expect it to run like ass. I don't know why you would at this point. Like, again, Scarlet and Violet was the only one that ran like ass. Like Legends Z8 did not run like that. No, no, no. One even. Yeah. I want to give, obviously, as many Super Chats that are coming through as much time as I personally can. Right. David writes in on this conversation, 2027, right? Are we waiting 18 months for Gen 10 or is there potentially a spring slash summer release? Yeah, I think that, like, all options are on the table. Like, I feel like there's a, I think it's twofold. One is, obviously, they need more time to get this game right. Yeah. The other is they need more Switch 2s out there. I think it's a combination of both, yeah. Yeah, for sure. And I wonder, you know, as much as we want voice acting and all that jazz, if that would even be – not that I'm saying they're patching it now. It's always been the plan, and that's part of it. Or if this is just going to be a souped-up Pokemon Scarlet and Violet that runs really well. I'm so upset, Greg. What? Damn computer over here with the hats that we've been looking at. Yeah, just have some – I've been fighting. I've been fighting it the whole time that Update was coming. It's supposed to be Update. My favorite thing about the update was we sat there and we're like, oh, it's got a thing. You went over and said later. Yeah. Five minutes later. Hey, I need to update. I did it again. And then five minutes later, and now it's just like, I'll start myself. It's gone. It doesn't matter. How about this? How about you just focus on me for a change? I'm focusing on you. This is your problem. You dads. We're all distracted by the babies and everything else. You didn't want to dream. The trailer ended when we were live reacting. Yeah. And I was like, hold on. They need a voice here. And you're like, no, they've already said goodbye. I'm like, no, no, from the game. and you're like, oh, that is it. What are the odds I get voice acting in this game? Ah, man, incredibly low. Like, I think 10%. And that really upsets me. Especially, like, looking at this game. Clearly, the best-looking 3D Pokemon game we've had. I'll never say it looks better than the pixel art ones, right? But, like, goddamn, I was impressed by how this looks. If it doesn't have voice acting, it's going to be a major letdown, and I think more than ever is going to be distracting. it was so hard for me to get over it in za because of the presentation they present the game as if it should have voice acting as if it does have voice acting and it feels off because of it this is going to feel incredibly off if we're not hearing voices and i i don't know man like i'm not giving up hope yet okay but i'm not expecting it to be there and i will hold it against them if it's not like i mean you should we're talking about what yeah we're talking about what games are right and even though it's pokemon it's not being made in a vacuum this is what i was talking about you know in our predictions you weren't here for it but coming off of a million different games but so fresh off the demo for monster hunter story 3 where it's like damn can you imagine a pokemon with this production value you know what i mean and like the battles look this cool and the acting's here we're doing all the stuff be rad as hell yeah and and again it's hard because there has to be 1025 Pokemon plus more. There's just no way to be able to do all of that because Pokemon has balloons so big. The dream game for me, I always talk about it. If any video game could just magically appear for me, it would be a Pokemon that is aimed at adults, aimed at somebody like me that has grown up with this. I'm not saying in place of these generations, but something that is way more focused, it can just be 150 Pokemon and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth style production value and try something a little bit different, an offshoot, right? The Legends games kind of try to do that to an extent, but not really, right? So I think, and I keep saying this, but the presentation in ZA and Scarlet and Violet, like Scarlet and Violet specifically the DLC stuff where it was like very battle tournament focused, God, some of the framing of the shots and when you're in the battles, like, yeah, it is just Pokemon battles and it's pretty static overall compared to Monster Hunter. Yeah. But it's like they do enough to be like, oh, wow, this is cool. And it feels more like the cartoon and ZA having a lot more, you know, active battles and stuff like it was hype and exciting. And the music's good. It just didn't have voices. And you see the words and it seems hype. Exactly. You can imagine it being cameras are going around and stuff. But it's like all of that is all of the presentations there. It just is missing an audio track. Yeah. You know, so I. I'm hung up on it. I won't get off of it, Greg. I'm glad it's very annoying. You got to push them forward. You're a fan. Yeah, I'm beautiful. The waves are. I mean, how beautiful the game is again, as we run through this in. I don't know if this is in game or whatever. Yeah. Well, the rest of it we saw like, yeah, it's really good looking. The wind for me, it's the wind in the grass. Those waves look amazing. again if you're going to call it winds you're going to call it waves you're going to need to nail that kind of stuff but no this does look great and i think again as i as soon as it got going you heard me say oh this is switch to exclusive because of just how it looks and i think that's the power of moving to the new hardware and being able to commit and being able to go with it too much water 7.9 eight i don't know but uh yeah it's i i am interested in the water i like that we can go under i feel like that is as good as something i do that's something that's going to shake it up a bit because I, the water is usually one of my least favorite parts of Pokemon games, which is why gen three is not my favorite generation. Some very inspired maps. I feel like the online stuff is some of the best, but like, yeah, you're just swimming around islands a little bit too much. And that's what this game seems to be. But there's the look of it and leaning fully into that. I'm excited about, and I'm really into this, like foresty jungle area, this looks a lot better than Scarlet and Violet which that's all I could ask for hell yeah yeah it looks great I can't wait to learn more when do we see it again when do we get a real reveal of it constantly I feel like whenever generations reveal we get pretty constant updates a ton of trailers that have very iterative announcements in them and yeah 2027 like that's a that's a ways away like this might be one of the earliest that we've seen uh definitely in the last couple years at least like a new game and like the hype cycle for this is going to be long and with champions coming out as well it's like that being the focus for the bgc side of things like the the esport like that's where the competitive pokemon is going to be played going forward so it's not like in 2027 we're going to be playing in winds and waves right playing a champion. I want to stay with Gen 10 here, and obviously so many super chats about it. My question for you would be, what's the obsession with island life? And I don't mean just here. I don't mean just winds and waves. I mean Animal Crossing. I mean Alola region. There's so many other things. Can't we just go somewhere else? I'm sick of the sand. I'm sick of the beach. I'm sick of the waves. Why do we revere the big island? I mean, I honestly don't even know where to begin, Greg. Like, have you been to Hawaii? No. Okay, that explains a lot. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I like cities. Yeah. I like cities, too. I like cities that are maybe more than just a big circle. We sell some cities in here. Yeah, I know. And that's the thing, too. There was a couple cities in Scarlet and Violet, and it ran like trash in the cities. There was just too much going on. But there was a couple of them. this one like the the bottom right of the map that i was like man this is this is cool like i can't believe that there's a city this big and like there's a ton of stores you can go in uh in a pokemon game because it really felt like me being a kid walking around the town and being like oh man what would this look like in 3d and it's like oh we're here now yeah it doesn't run well there's a couple shots in this trailer that have more city like or town or whatever you want to call it places that aren't just like the beachy area yeah uh that i was like okay cool this looks interesting, this little water park I mean that looks like a resort that's a hotel, we got a real white lotus vibe going on here that's cool, yeah, maybe there'll be a murder you got your shops there, your shops look a little bit better that was one of my disappointments as I talked about in Scarlet Violet my shops are just kiosks everywhere that look exactly the same, I hate that shit, I loved it dude having a PokeMart, TM machine and PokeCenter all in one little spot, but I think something like ZA does it better, where it's like hey here's a shop that is in-universe feels like, oh, I think this is an in-universe shop that I enjoy. Whereas I thought just having a kiosk in the middle of fucking nowhere was weird. Yeah, yeah, a lot of weird choices. A lot of weird choices. I want to get this super chat in. Silver J. Hawkins super chat and says, fun theory that will likely not be true would be that this new region is the same region we saw slash visited in new Pokemon Snap. I mean, it is a beachy, like, resorty area, but there is something about the color palette that is very similar. I like that. Good. But for the 30th anniversary, it was 95% video games. No mention of amusement parks, anime, movies, or concerts. Yeah, I was selfishly really hoping for an orchestra anniversary concert, because I missed out on Symphonic Evolutions when they did it, I think, for the 20th anniversary. because I was a broke boy, but I'm still hopeful that they'll pull something together at some point. And the Smohen legacy and all that. And he turned into the wrestler. So it's like they try to theme the final evolutions around the region. So if we go back to see that swinging Pikachu company, a couple, we can infer there that they're going to turn into swingers. They're going to turn into island swingers. Yes. I mean, definitely. Look at the vibe. These guys just know what's up. Fucking tourists. You know what I mean? I love that. They get there. The first thing they do, pineapple upside down on their door. They know what they're doing out there. Did you know the Pikachu male and female? Yes, I do. Of course. A male has a lightning bolt tail and a female has a heart tail. Don't try it. I read my books. Also, do we think there'll be any new battle gimmick? I'm hoping there's no new battle gimmick, but we can use all the past ones. Oh my god, the dream. Yeah, that's what's interesting about this, right? Every generation has, not every, but most recent generations, starting with Gen 6, have had some level... Actually, I guess the other ones did too. We just didn't think of them that way because they had the rotation battle, the trio thing, and even the dual battles introduced in Gen 3, but uh which have kind of become the standard for the competitive gameplay um so i i think that with the big focus on mega evolutions and za i don think mega evolutions are going to be in this game um because they going so hard right now on all that for za specifically the dlc and all that um i do think they have some type of new gimmick i hated uh terrestrializing in scarlet and violet like that stuff it i never wrapped my head around it definitely was not necessary for playing that game competitively i'm sure it had some uh benefits and like that's the level that i just is way way way above my pay grade yeah uh But even then, it's not cool. They look stupid. It took way too long. Do you agree with me? Oh, yeah. I hate this stuff. I much prefer Mega. Mega is my favorite, for sure. So I feel like they're going to add something just because they feel like they have to. But, yeah, I think it would be the best call to not do that, especially with Champions coming out. They have said Champions is going to have multiple gimmicks. So are they going to add more gimmicks? Maybe I'm not sure, but prepare yourselves. They're going to add some weird shit. And so you're flying all around. I remember gliding a lot. I forget about flying. In the DLC, you don't want to fly. I can't remember. The core game you had glide, but you were flying everywhere. I feel like that's kind of like that was them testing it out a bit. We saw that too with the Gen 8 DLC. They introduced some elements that we then later saw in the actual core games. Okay. Yeah, because I, again, explain the difference for somebody who doesn't know well i mean it's the difference between like actually having to go into a battle and go through the menus and then the pokeball or just actively throwing the ball uh on the in like in the gameplay right yeah like i'm going around and like in scarlet and violet you could kind of do that like with the auto battle like you send your pokemon out to like fight and kill yeah you know what i mean um so i that was i think a step towards being able to catch that way as well and i think that the legends games and the the like the core generation games are kind of like learning from each other a bit yeah like and as we see like how different za was even from rcs like i i think that the dna is going to start to blend even more so yeah i think that there might be some pretty pretty dramatic for pokemon standards uh changes to have actual core gameplays in the same way that scarlet violet compared to sword and shield like was very different yeah just running around like the battle's the same and all that but like just the way you're able to interact with the open world, because it was the first time it was a true open world. Sword and Shield only had the wild areas, so this is now their third full open world to some extent. Or fourth, even. Tim, would you like to move on to the rest of the announcements? Yeah. But these were for a while games that I could mention, and people were like, I didn't know that existed. Like, full-on console games. Straw Hat B, Super Chat, and I'm shocked you guys didn't get more hyped for Gil of Darkness, a $200 game that became essentially free with Switch Online. Yep, and that's the thing. Switch Online for the GameCube has been such a boon. Fire Emblem, Path of Radiance, and now these Pokemon games, and Fire right even being $20. Way cheaper than how you could legally play these games otherwise. So yeah, cool this is coming. I'm a little surprised that it's coming before Pokemon Coliseum because Coliseum was first. Yeah. But hey, WNDs, man. What are you going to do? I'm excited. I do like that the GameCube library is like slowly very slowly starting to grow a bit. But that's the thing with how Nintendo Switch Online has worked. I've always said this. It is such an amazing value. like you get especially now and it just continues to get better because they keep adding things and they don't take things away so when you look at it now it's like dang dude like the majority of games are there and gamecube that's not true over the next couple years though i think it will be neoayoshi in the twist chat pops off and says for the uninitiated because he doesn't know what is pokemon xd gale of darkness how does it play what is it just a pokemon rpg it's a pokemon rpg that is is different than pokemon it's like it's some similarities but like the some of the battle systems are just tweaks kind of like how in legends rc is like the battle system had like the strong style and then weak style whatever it was called out i don't remember what it was fast and strong i don't know um it's just slightly different and it's like a completely different tone you're not doing gym battles yeah there's like an actual there's a story to it um i i will say i don't think that they're that good okay you know but are they worth playing i i don't think so okay okay i don't I don't know. I don't know. But it's cool classics. Like, definitely. And I think people like XD more than they like Coliseum, story-wise. But Coliseum, it was a weird one. Because everyone wanted a console RPG Pokemon game. And it felt like a tacked-on mode to what everyone kind of assumed was Stadium 3. Okay. So it just came at a weird time. I don't know. We move on. after that we of course got fire red and leaf green uh we already knew this they dropped it in here of course they're available right now we will be playing leaf green my first time playing ever right after this stream uh it's compatible with pokemon home in the future they got to their very hilarious chart showing you the game they can go into pokemon home and they then they can transfer between champions back and forth and then they can just deposit and withdraw from scarlet violet and za and other games it's so funny that you that you said because it's like I look at this and I'm like, wow, this is actually very clean. No, it is clean. We've got to a point. Like, man, back to the day with Pokemon. I lived through Transparen. I lived through Transparen. I know. It's like, this makes sense. This makes a lot of sense of how home works and how the games work. You can't put the new Pokemon into Pokemon Leaf Green. That doesn't make sense. The entire chat is against me with XD and. We have, of course, been waiting quite some time to find out when this game is coming as this is now the game they're going to play at worlds. This is the one that will not decide for the video game portion of it. Right. Who's who and what's up, Tim. I don't expect to play a lot of this, but I do expect to jump in, try it and hopefully get into it. Yeah. I mean, I've never been a competitive Pokemon player. I have been hardcore Pokemon fan since it existed, right? Yeah. But obviously you ebb and flow of like how crazy into it you can be. and i would say like gen one to three was like i'm all in when we watched that video earlier it's like every single thing they showed i'm like i was a part of that and then otherwise it kind of just turned into i play the games when they come out or whatever but then it was gen 9 scarlet violet in 2022 that really or end of 2021 whatever it was i got so in like yeah more into pokemon since i've been since i was eight years old right like so so so in and getting back into pokemon go to this day, I'm kind of there getting the entire Pokedex in Scarlet and Violet, like going way too hard. The entire Pokedex in Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee, I was just going back and doing all that stuff. And by the time we got to Legends EA, like I beat it. I really enjoyed the game. I like it a lot. I didn't complete the Pokedex. And it's like, I'm just kind of like slowing down a bit there. And maybe it's just because of what this game is too, but I'm a little bummed by that because I do have the dream of completing the national decks at some point. Wow. I knew you weren't here yesterday. We did March games. I watched this, yeah. I was blown away that the entire panel was like, no, no, I'm excited. Really? None of you have said anything about this. Me and Joey thought we were all alone. Vibe-wise of just kind of what I've seen on the internet and everything I've heard about this game, this is about to take shit over, dude. I really think that... Blessing came so hot off that New York preview. Yeah, exactly. The previews are are very glowing and just what this is what we know of how much people love pokemon but then also love dragon quest builders for the people that played that uh it's like yeah this i expect this to really hit and i think it's going to sell very very very well and it being switched to exclusive too like i i can see this being the type of game not a system seller in like a crazy way but i think it could be i think it could i do think that this can get some some people in and i i think that the tone of this trailer was very off-putting to us but it clearly is for kids right like this this trailer is trying to speak to a different audience which just i don't think works in a pokemon presents but i think it does just work as like oh yeah like being a parent watching this and like dumb ass goofy kid being like look at the green you know yeah and doing the hide and seek thing and everything else again i think if reviews are as hot as these previews it'll speak loudly to the gamer you don't need to worry about that and you are trying to get out there to mom and dad and again the pokemon fan who played a lot of animal crossing during covid and didn't come back to it right i think this is yeah totally very interesting thing we're about to get here i'm stoked to see what happens oh we also met dj roto neat you put in his mouth i do like that it's like a bunch of classic pokemon music like that's yeah that is cool i'm still not sold on the ditto thing i don't like the look of the character yeah gives me roger vibes i'm not saying it looks like roger I'm saying it looks like the type of thing Roger would be really into. Besides that, though, I think it looks great, and like, what I was just saying is, I look at this game, I'm like, I'm going to complete the Pokedex. You know what I mean? I just want to call out, because there's so much going on with Pocopia that I don't think they talk about necessarily or don't. I think what they've talked about before with Pocopia, and again, Mike sent me a TikTok last night, is the idea that it's game share. So it can't be that you have it on your Switch 2 and share it to your kids, your two kids Switch 1s, your wife Switch 2, and you're all playing together. From what I understand based on that TikTok I saw last night. So they're trying to get around that. I know that doesn't help if it's Well, I guess you can game share sometimes over the internet. I'm not sure if that counts. I'm talking out my ass on that part. But there's a lot going on with Pocopia that we really need to get into the weeds about. But we won't until reviews and or it's out in a while. C-Doy in the chat says, I'm hoping that it doesn't have voice acting. I don't understand that. I understand the fear that the voice acting might be bad. I think bad voice acting is... I'd like that. It'd be okay. If this is the official first look at Kratos and Atreus, they need to delay the show and completely overhaul the costume design. I don't like it. Can you put your finger on why you don't like it? If you're an audio listener, as I know there are some people, let me read from Paul Tassi over at Forbes. While we've been burning through the cast announcement for God of War's Amazon series, I did not realize we would be getting a look at the series in action so quickly. Now Amazon Prime Video has just released the first look at Ryan Hurst as Kratos and Callum Vinson as Atreus. It looks dot dot dot strange. The costume seems fine and very one to one with the game. Hurst is almost unrecognizable as Kratos, which was sort of a necessary development. but I'm not sure if the way this shot is rendered or lit or framed, but it does not look good. It looks like cosplay or some sort of fan film. Yeah. That's the thing is I, maybe this is the hopium in me, but I feel like this is a behind the scenes shot. This isn't like in show. And I imagine in show it will look good and solve a lot of the problems I have. Cause a lot of it is just kind of the presentation of this image. But yeah, it's, I don't know something about Kratos not loving. It looks like cosplay. My thing about it is, as somebody who knows Ryan Hurst from acting and from Sons of Anarchy when he was Opie, he is not lost to the character of Kratos to me. I look at that, and I'm like, oh, that's that guy from Sons of Anarchy dressed as Kratos. And that's the problem. Is that it's like, I don't see Kratos there.
