Nate Martins, founder of Jevity, discusses how accessible bloodwork and preventative health testing can save lives. He shares his personal motivation—losing his father to late-stage cancer that went undiagnosed—and explains how Jevity uses AI and functional medicine to make comprehensive biomarker testing affordable, convenient, and actionable for consumers.
Insights
- Preventative bloodwork is foundational to health optimization; traditional primary care tests only 5-7 markers while functional panels test 100+, revealing inflammation and imbalances before they become critical
- The longevity industry has shifted from niche biohacking to legitimate healthcare, driven by technology founders applying software/AI expertise to solve systemic healthcare gaps
- Customization is essential—generic supplement stacks and one-size-fits-all protocols fail because individual biomarkers, stress levels, and life circumstances vary; protocols must evolve with testing
- FDA regulatory lag (peptides, stem cells) creates dangerous gray markets; companies operating in longevity must navigate undefined legislation while educating consumers on safety
- Healthcare profitability incentivizes sick care over prevention; disrupting this requires making preventative solutions more affordable and convenient than reactive treatment

A lot of people come to their careers and venture into health and wellness due to a personal loss, and I think your story was the same. So you experienced loss with losing your dad, so I wanted to dive into that so that my audience can get to know you a little bit better. Yeah, so my background is not health, it's not medicine, it's technology. So I had a software company, I was actually supposed to go to Yale and play basketball. I ended up starting the software company the summer before Yale, and it took off, it took off unexpectedly. I ended up running that for a couple years and sold it, and that was a great experience, but around that time we found out my father was diagnosed with stage 4 non-small cell lung cancer. So the most frustrating part about that experience was he had started experiencing this lower back pain, and it just felt weird. It was different, it was not the type of pain that you'd just go and see a chiropractor about, or it didn't feel like something that he was able to fix with stretching. Despite that, the physician ended up saying, stretch before you work out, go see a chiropractor, go get adjusted, like let's see if that fixes the problem. And he was sort of gaslit and dismissed from the traditional medical system until it got to a point where he wasn't able to walk anymore. And that's when the doctor ended up taking him serious enough to go and do more testing, and they ran screens and they found growths everywhere. So what was going on with his back was, it was a growth that was pushing up against his spine, and it was breaking his back essentially. So it spread up his back to his brain through his lungs, it was everywhere. And it was too late, unfortunately, it was pretty much a matter of, how long can we keep him comfortable? And in that experience I learned, just as everyone does when they have an experience like this, what the real traditional healthcare system is like, and the inadequacies of it. What's wrong with it, what's good about it? I don't want to say that it's all bad, there are some redeeming qualities for sure, but there's also a lot of wrong with it, and we experienced that. So after he passed away, he passed away September 8th, 2021. He was 58 years old, and by the way, my father, he was an active guy, he did all the right things. He did all the right things, minus going and looking underneath the hood. He didn't do blood work, which is why we're so adamant on blood work here at Jebedee. And when he passed, I knew I had to get into the longevity space. I knew how to take my tech background and bring it to this new emerging space. And when we started Jebedee, the longevity industry wasn't even an industry. It was like a bunch of bio-hackers, wellness enthusiasts sort of getting together. And now it's evolved into a legitimate industry and it's awesome to see. Really what it came down to was I tried building a product that I believe would have kept my father alive. And we can get into it later, but that's what led me here into the medical industry or health and wellness industry from a tech background. Thank you for sharing that. Both my parents passed away from diseases that were completely preventable. My mom passed away from, I share this a lot on the podcast, from Turbo Cancer. And the medical industry, the GP she went to in the UK completely failed her because they are so dogmatic about how they've been trained and how they think health and wellness should be and signs and symptoms are dismissed. And they just want to push this narrative down your throat. And they miss so many things that people feel or little like almost like little whispers that are coming up in someone's health. But they're just like, nope, it just has to be down this checklist. I have 15 minutes to see you after that. I have to see the next person. I'm not going to get paid. And so even with a private sector, it's not that great, you know? And that's one of the reasons I started Biohacket. I started to want to help people connect with their health from a spiritual, emotional and physical aspect and really find solutions that were not being offered in your standard podcast or media or through people. So thank you for sharing that backstory. One of the biggest things that I was so excited to use your service and get to know Jevity was you guys come to. So it's on our time. You guys come to us. It's super affordable. It's more affordable than going to Quest and having it done through insurance, which was insane because just two years ago to get this much functional blood work drawn was like $2,000. So how did you guys come up with like this really affordable pricing model, make it convenient for the consumer and you guys deliver everything in less than five business days? Yeah. So the mission is to make longevity accessible to all. In order to do that, you have to make it accessible in price. Right. Otherwise, it's not accessible to all. You have to make it accessible in reach. So we're in 29 states and growing. Our target is close to all 50 by end of year and hopefully, you know, in other countries as well, eventually. And then in modality. So we need to come to you. It needs to work within your schedule. You can't make your schedule work around your health. And like we need to be default healthy, especially as Americans. We need to be default healthy and we're not. So it was actually quite a simple sort of design process. My wife, she's at home right now with my two little boys. I have a three year old and a six month old and she doesn't have time to go see a functional medicine doctor. And she doesn't have time to go to a quest to get her blood work done. So there and I don't have time either. I'm working crazy hours and I'm always at the office and, you know, being the CEO and founder of a high growth startup is time consuming. And so we needed to build a solution that fits perfectly within our life, something that's almost automated. It's very routine. I don't have to think much about it. It's really, really convenient and that's the way health care should be. Unfortunately, it's not that way. We're spending four and a half trillion dollars a year, 20% almost of our GDP on health care. But almost all of that is going towards pharmaceutical development, pharmaceutical research and essentially sick care. But this is the first time in history where we actually have the technology to shift the paradigm and approach health care in a preventative and proactive way. We couldn't in the past, right? We were dealing with crazy things, you know, for a long time, yellow fever, malaria, like all of these things. I mean, the common cold was deadly at one point. And so, you know, you fast forward to now we have the means to actually be able to, you know, approach care in a preventative, proactive approach and do it in a data driven way as well. No guesswork because we can go in and, you know, for a couple hundred dollars, look at a hundred different biomarkers across various physiological systems to do that. Even 10 years ago was astronomically expensive insurance would never cover it. And so nobody was able to afford it. And so, yeah, you know, we we try to make it as affordable as possible. It's still, you know, we're working towards making it even more affordable and providing more affordable options for people who are still, you know, uncomfortable spending that. But I would encourage, you know, whoever is listening. It's never a bad investment to invest in your health. It never is. It's an investment that it's not just an investment in yourself to it's an investment for those who love you and those who you love. If you're spending hundreds of skin care by ignoring one of the most powerful anti aging tools out there, you are missing out my biohackers. I'm talking about red light therapy and bond charges, red light face mask. It has completely changed the game for me. Red light therapy isn't just another hype. It penetrates deep into the skin, boosting collagen, reducing inflammation and easing signs of aging. And the best part, it's cordless, it's lightweight and totally painless. So I can wear it while I'm getting worked on watching TV or even making a quick smoothie for myself or taking my dogs for a walk. I've tried a lot of skin care treatments and let's be honest, some of them are messy. Others are time consuming or just plain uncomfortable. But this mask makes it so easy just 10 minutes a day and I've noticed my skin is brighter, clearer and even more even toned. No downtime, no hassle. And because bond charge products are HSI, FSA, eligible, you can use your health saving funds to invest in your skin. Trust me, you need this in your skincare routine ASAP. Right now my listeners get 15% off when you order from bondcharge.com. Just use my exclusive code biohacket at checkout. That's bondcharge.com plus you'll get free shipping and a 12 month warranty. Again, that's biohacket. Go grab yours now. Your skin will thank you later. So basically my biggest thing is like if you don't have your health, you have nothing. Right? That is the staple of any corner, anything in your life. And I'm in this space. I'm obviously into health and wellness. I have the podcast. I live, eat, sleep, breathe the space. But as a founder that's been growing two companies, I have completely burnt myself out and I've been pushing, pushing, pushing. And when I took my test, it was like two weeks ago and I got the results. So I was like, I'm not gonna get my test. I'm gonna get my test. I'm gonna get my test. I'm gonna get my test. I'm gonna get my test. I'm gonna get my test. I'm gonna get my test. I'm gonna get my test. I'm gonna get my test. I'm gonna get my test. I'm gonna get my test. I'm gonna get my test. I'm gonna get my test. I'm gonna get my test. I'm gonna get my test. I'm gonna get my test. I'm gonna get my test. I'm gonna get my test. I'm gonna get my test. I'm gonna get my test. I'm gonna get my test. I'm gonna get my test. I'm gonna get my test. I'm gonna get my test. I went public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public public prioritize yourself. It's actually one of the most selfless things you can do. Despite that, people feel guilty for, you know, leaving their kids to go to the gym or spending money on a, you know, a sauna. And these are, that's ridiculous. I mean, these are things that will allow you to be there for, for longer and feel better for longer. And so, you know, as founders, we, we need to, we need to prioritize ourselves before we can actually take care of anybody else. And I was going to say, for only 26 years old, you raised 8.5 million to expand your platform. So how was it being this young founder coming into space that's not fully developed yet with a product that we know we need, but is still new? So how was it pitching to people where people really receptive off the back or it took you a lot of time to find the right people to say yes to you? Yeah, I think that having had success prior as, you know, a young founder selling a company at 22 years old that, that definitely helped raise capital. No question. We raised our, we've raised almost 10 million to date total and we raised both rounds in like two weeks. So it took no time at all. And what was it kind of like, like profile of the kind of people you raised from? Like, yeah. So strategic partners, home offices, we, we are in more of an affluent group. So we were able to, you know, go to friends and family. Yeah. Friends and family. We don't do much with venture capital, at least at this stage. And, you know, there's no real reason behind that. It's just we didn't even make it to that point before we had a round full. Yeah. But with VCs also, you have to give up so much equity and control and they kind of come in and dictate your growth, how you do it. And they also take a large portion of, you know, your equity away. So yeah, it's nice. It's nice knowing who you're taking money from and having relationships with them. So yeah, I mean, it was, it was a great experience. Whenever I pitched Jevity, when you say it out loud, it makes perfect sense. It's like, why hasn't this been done before? It's blaringly obvious. And then our approach is a little bit different than the standard longevity telehealth, you know, model where at our core, we are a tech company. We're an AI machine learning company at our core. As a, as a member of our platform, you wouldn't necessarily know this, but we have a lot of sophisticated technology. I mean, we have engineers from Google, Meta, Lockheed, Martin, I mean, just like everywhere, working on really, really sophisticated machine learning technology that is getting to the place where we will be able to accurately predict mortality. And these, these things are like right here for the taking and they have never been. So because I have the technology background and I was able to see the writing on the wall and see, you know, a few years ago, large language models, chat, GPTs, they weren't very good. But I saw where they were going and I saw the application that they could, that they can have in healthcare. And so we, we go to our investors and we explain, Hey, this is a technology. There's obviously a need here. The healthcare system has been reactive forever. It needs to be proactive and preventative because we have the tools now. We also have the actual software technology to be able to make sense of all of this data better than humanly possible, faster than humanly possible. And whenever we pitched them, it was like, yeah, here's, here's a check. Yeah. What were some of your biggest challenges on your journey and some of the biggest learnings you've had since building this company? Oh goodness, every day has its own challenges. It's, I mean, you're, you're navigating a new space. The longevity space has not been around for hardly any time at all. So, you know, that has its pros and its cons. You're, you're learning as you go. You're learning not just, you know, the business side as you go, but the industry side as in the, the legislation hasn't caught up for longevity medicine either. So things like peptides, for example, peptides are still a big no, no from the FDA, mesenchymal stem cells, big no, no from the FDA. Two things that are incredibly powerful as it pertains to longevity, despite that, you know, the FDA is still operating decades behind. And, you know, that's the nature of, of, you know, bureaucracy and, and big government. And we don't have to touch on that, but no, but I think it's really interesting as well. And can we tell the audience why also when it comes to peptides, why we feel that they're still so unregulated? Yeah. So peptides, peptides are, are a tricky one. So the FDA, there's, they're not FDA approved. And the FDA put most of the comp, most of the peptides on a don't compound list. So pharmacies for a long time weren't able to actually compound these things. And so what ended up happening was this like gray market emerged research chemicals. These peptide companies started selling their products as research chemicals, not for human consumption, right there on the bottle. Despite that, they're marketing them in a way where obviously they're to be taken as human for human consumption. And that's dangerous. There's like a lot that can go wrong in that. These peptides, they need to come from pharmacies. They need to come from facilities that are up to standard with FDA standards. They must. Otherwise, for all you know, you're buying something that was made in somebody's garage that who knows what's in it, who knows what it's contaminated with, who knows where they're sourcing their, their powders and their, their APIs or like their raw material. Who knows what is actually in what you're taking. And I've heard horror stories of people ending up in the hospital by buying from these research chemical companies. So it is really, really challenging, I'd say. And frustrating and frustrating working against the FDA on this. If they would just like create a roadmap for these pharmacies to more easily offer peptides, we would actually have less problems. Less people would end up in the hospital from these things. And you know, it's, it's the FDA. It's not all bad, but it is deeply corrupted. Yeah, it's deeply corrupted for sure. And what about the stem cells as well? Because people are like, you guys mentioned stem cells. Can we talk about those as well? Yeah. So we stem cells, there's a lot of different types of stem cells, right? There's, you can get them from a lot of different places. The stem cells that we really like, they're mesenchymal stem cells. So MSCs for short, they are derived from umbilical cord blood, healthy baby, healthy mama. And they are the most potent sort of active cells that we found in our research. And we have a great team of medical advisors who are far smarter than I am with any of this stuff. I take stem cell IVs myself. So I'm here in the US. Yeah. Yeah. So in the US, it's challenging because of the FDA. However, it's doable. They, they can't be doctored cells. They can't be like multiplied in a lab. They have to be essentially just untouched. Right. And I actually prefer it that way. We have an argument as to why that's better. And what is that argument? Natural is better, in my opinion, when you can. So why, why would you take something that is natural that has just these profound healing components and try to multiply that in a lab to, to get more of it? That's where, that's where people, I'm not sure if you've heard of like a cytokine storm, but a lot of times when you take stem cells, you hear people getting sick after. Yes. And then they're like, Oh, that means it's working. No, I don't think that's what it means. And actually at Jevity, we don't think that's what it means with untouched, undocked stem cells that we're not multiplied in a lab. You're not getting that cytokine storm. You're not getting sick after. And I can speak for myself. Whenever I do a stem cell IV for like the next six months, I have near perfect biomarkers. I feel better. It's, I was able to, I had injuries from basketball. So I was able to heal a labrum issue and meniscus and like this pain that I had my whole life from sports. By the way, yeah, I just don't have it anymore. What is, is the same thing as taking exosome IV? It's the same thing, right? It's similar. So we, oftentimes we pair the MSCs with exosomes. Okay. So they're not the same. They're not one to one, but they are paired together and exosomes are great as well. You can probably have somebody explain the differences far better than I can, but we do exosomes paired with the MSCs. Exosomes are far easier to do in compliance with FDA regulations. Right. Then MSCs. And what is a stem cell IV costing you and how many are you putting in? Are you putting in like five billion, 10, 15, I think those are the ranges that you normally get. Yeah. So it's about 20 million. And it costs roughly four to five grand. So it's not, it's not cheap. Yeah. Exosomes are about the same, but I think they measure the exosomes in the billions versus the millions. Yeah, that sounds right. And they're not cheap. It's, it's, it's quite expensive. They're not, and you know, there's not much that you can do today to drive down those costs either, unfortunately. They're not for everybody. They're, you do not need to do a Mesenkynol stem cell IV to maximize your, your health span and lifespan. If you have the means, why not? Why not? I think then you should, but there's focusing on blood work, supplementation, nutrition, stress management, sleep. All of those things are going to far exceed the benefits that you would get, you know, from Mesenkynol stem cells. If you know me, you know, I avoid C D-dolls like the plague. They're everywhere, even in snacks labeled as clean, organic or healthy. But the truth is they wreak havoc on your metabolism, your hormones and make you super inflamed. That's why I'm obsessed with Prima, one of the few products I completely trust. Prima was created to push back against processed artificial foods and bring us back to real nutritional ancestral ingredients that actually nourish your body. It's packed with 100% grass-fed beef, tallow, grass-fed collagen and grass-fed whey protein, delivering bioavailable nutrients from muscle recovery, joint health and overall vitality without any of the junk. No C-dolls, no refined sugars, no artificial additives. And the best part is one of the few products that is certified C-dolls safe. I always keep Prima stocked in my bag. It's my go-to post workout between meetings or anytime I need an easy, high quality protein boost. Getting in at least one gram of protein per pound of body weight can be really tough, but it's essential for building and maintaining muscle as you age or going through a fertility journey in your 40s and 30s like I am. And the flavor is delicious. Cacao, mocha and salted caramel, you really can't go wrong. My favorite flavor is the salted caramel plus the Prima bars are sweetened with organic raw honey and only contain organic whole food ingredients. So you're fueling your body with real clean nutrition because you're part of the biohacket community. You get 20% off. Just use code Iman20 at eatprima.com. Ditch the C-dolls, fuel your body right. You will feel the difference, I promise. I think stress is one of the biggest things that will destroy your health and I'm currently like just experiencing that myself that you can you cannot out supplement stress. You cannot like destroy your sleep and think it's gonna be okay because you'll pop a couple of supplements and that will cause havoc for you, you know. And one of the things I love about your you kind of have this slogan is wellness con it's a wellness concierge in your pocket. How did you come up with that? It just kind of is what it is. I mean it really is a wellness concierge in your pocket. We put a full care team in your pocket. So for our members at Jevity you have access to essentially our whole back office of doctors, of nutritionists, of nurse practitioners, functional nutritionists. We've got just experts sort of in each of these different categories and we also give everybody a care coordinator. So sort of the point person to feel you know your your inquiry to the right person. So oh yeah you need to talk to our hormone specialist over here or you need to talk to our nutritionist over here this or we have fitness instructors even people who have fitness background. So because of that you sort of do have a wellness concierge in your pocket and it's it doesn't sound like this revolutionary thing because it sounds obvious. But we didn't have that. We had that. We've never had that before. Right and it's like 26 year old Nate had to figure out you know how to bring this to market. Yeah. You know it's I'm glad that we're able to do so though. How often should somebody be getting their blood work done? So let's say is every three months is every six months. What's the frequency? I'd say it depends on your panel. So for us because our panel is so comprehensive six months. Okay now what ends up happening is whenever somebody signs up to Jevity every single time there's going to be issues in their blood work. We're humans living in America. We live in an environment that isn't us you know supporting our health in the best way. So we have never found anybody who has come to us and has had perfect blood work not yet. Not in this country. Not in this country. So because of that what we're going to do is oftentimes recommend a follow-up panel for you know three months from now. Okay in between your six month follow-up panel. So we're doing this extremely comprehensive blood work panel every six months. And that is for sure enough as long as you're testing the alarming markers in between them. And that can be as simple as either a finger prick test or there's other testing modalities as well that there's a new technology where you put it this like device on your shoulder and you press a button and it fills a little tube of blood. Yeah and it's cool technology. It's you're only able to look at a limited amount of biomarkers. Okay. So you're not able to look at everything we're looking at at Jevity. That still needs to be done through Vayna's blood draw. However for doing these smaller one-off tests you're able to use these other technologies which we're exploring right now in terms of accuracy. Vayna's blood draw is for sure going to be the way to go. And then you guys have a hundred biomarkers right. So how did you guys decide these are the hundred biomarkers we're going to run with and why those? Just talking with the experts we talked with goodness so dozens of experts in various fields from you know of course functional medicine, regenerative medicine, urology, OBs. I mean we talked with everybody. The top of their field not just like you know our local physicians we found the best and we asked them to compile a panel for us and of course we validated it through our own research. I'm a researcher we have a bunch of people on the team who are researchers so that's how we came about our panel. You'll find other panels online that have even more biomarkers than what we're testing for but we don't find that necessary. We find it a little bit of a little bit overkill sort of like a marketing gimmick if you will. Now that could be looked at two ways. More data is better sure but our data is already so I mean five times more than the primary care physician would test for with the full panel and it is it was handpicked from the world's best in each of their respective niches so you know it's certainly not Nate went to Google and was like hey what are the best yeah yeah what are the best biomarkers so we're you know so with the with the panel how would you guys compare to something like a function health because a lot of people because functions done a great job they started a little bit sooner marketing has been out there you guys are you know kind of coming on board now but most people know function because of Mark Hyman. How do you guys compare to a function? I've never tried functions so personally I don't have the experience with that. Yeah so first off I'll start by saying I'm a fan of function in this in the sense that I'm a fan of testing I'm a fan of what will get you in the door and get you tested. Now function is a bit different fundamentally they are essentially what I call a quest wrapper so what do I mean by that they have a beautiful you know platform and they have a mobile application and a web platform where you can see your biomarkers just like we do of course but you have to go into a quest so you have to schedule an appointment go into a quest and right out of the gates we're different there you know you have to plan around your schedule to make it work rather than you know having a phlebotomist come to you. Right so once blood work is done with function that's where the journey stops until your follow-up blood work we actually have a lot of people come from function again I don't I think function is great if all you're looking for is testing and that's their solution if you're looking for testing plus actionable insights plus a plan plus a team to actually help you adhere to that plan that's where Jeviti comes into play we we do things like custom supplements so we'll create the longevity blend which are custom supplements and AM and PM packs tailored to your blood work your actual body's needs you know function isn't doing that and they'll give you supplement recommendations but what's nice about Jeviti is we won't just give you the recommendations we'll actually deliver the product as well into your hands right and so we're not working with like we're not manufacturing our own supplements as we're working with some of the best brands in the world so for example Zymogen Zymogen is probably the gold standard in supplementation it was not more than a couple years ago until they actually started selling to consumers directly before that they were selling to practitioners only okay and so where is I'm a gin based actually here well in Florida they're there we're actually flying out from here to their headquarters I believe in Orlando okay before we head back home so yeah Zymogen is based out of Orlando and so they are they are the best I mean it is if you for example taking a B vitamin you could have been taking a B vitamin for the past five years and felt anything exactly and you start taking a Zymogen product a Zymogen B vitamin and you're like whoa this like I actually feel my brain fog has gone away yeah I feel my anxiety has ceased and yeah what it does come down to is the right form of B vitamin and for minerals like they're using the chelated form of minerals and with supplements in America and probably around the world but at least here in America there's there's no real governing body around supplementation so who knows what you're taking unless you're getting it from a source like Zymogen we we are very we have our speculations about other people who are trying to do the the data-driven blood work based supplements but they're manufacturing their own that's that's a whole thing like Zymogen's campus is the state of the art facility and the other thing too is testing right people will post on their website these third party testing certifications and all that yeah and who knows what's actually happening there it's it's very questionable so that's not a business that we want to get into at least today because there's people who are excelling we want to work with the best we want to deliver the best we're not interested in increasing our bottom line just to you know sell product we are we are much more interested in actually delivering results and by using you know our supplement partners we are able to do that in a much better way I was also gonna say because I looked obviously I've used gravity and then I kind of saw function you guys are a lot more affordable you're a lot cheaper than function health considering you're coming to the house you're giving a detailed protocol at the end of it you have a call to go through your lab in your blood work and then next step so I thought like the price point was amazing for what you guys are delivering yeah that's that's right and yet to your point we're gonna hop on a telehealth consult with you through our application and we're gonna spend 45 minutes with you going through your blood work and that's important because okay you did our blood work now what like I don't I don't know how to read this I I'm not a I wasn't trained to read absolutely all of these biomarkers so we have we have experts that will go through that with you and make it digestible so you understand and in that they're starting to put together this this action plan and we have AI that's in the mix so AI is you know doing acting as a scribe and pulling relevant context to help create your care plan and it's really really cool the technology that we built but what's really interesting what's different about Jevity compared to like other AI health companies is we believe health care is deeply personal it is deeply personal you if you're if you're gonna do blood work you need to meet with a human to go through those results with you because it's overwhelming it's overwhelming the data is overwhelming you look at the markers you're like oh my god I need to go pick up my kids from school I need to go to work I have to get on a zoom call I don't have time for this and then what does it happens you get the data but then you shelf it because you're so overwhelmed and you cannot deal with it right or like now people uploaded to chat gpt which you should never do there's AI bias is real and you're going to just default to believe whatever output it gets you we've tested this a lot it gives you these ridiculous outputs so yeah you need to hop on with an expert and I don't think at least in the foreseeable future that is going to change there's a lot of our competitors who are trying to replace doctors with AI no we're trying to enhance doctors and just clinicians wellness specialists with AI and so that's sort of this difference because health care is personal as someone who's testing and I was retesting for what works for my gut immune system and hormonal health I definitely do not mess around with any probiotics that die before they even reach my gut so this little guy just thrive is completely different it is clinically proven to arrive 100% alive survives antibiotics and even helps to heal leaky gut in just 30 days it beats bloat helps with nutrition absorption and turns your gut into an antioxidant factory and it's the only probiotic I trust and recommend to my bio hack it community check it out at just thrive health.com and use code bio hack it for a discount and enjoy what are some of the most common red flags you see in blood work which is you've seen across collecting data from thousands of people. Yeah I mean everybody comes to us with inflammation so elevated CRP is is pretty standard yeah mine was also charts by the way your CRP was so luckily we have solutions for that yeah I also have had high CRP and my blood work before I started my own Jevity protocol is there there's a stark contrast versus today right so we see a lot of of course your we see a lot of lipids that are off of course you know like your your LDL specifically your apolipar protein B we see you know that elevated as well we see a lot of hormonal imbalance too so for both men and women and well our fertility rate is taking 1% every single year in America this is the newest research that came out yeah yeah we need to be having I believe it's 2.1 kids per household otherwise if as a society we drop under 2.1 we will we will start to see population decline and in other countries we're seeing that we're seeing people we're seeing countries I believe China is is one of these countries where it's actually under one now and and in Greece in Greece interesting I didn't know Greece is another one I think Italy was another one that was very very low like the population is declining rapidly and that cannot happen that cannot happen so we talk about like the the longevity as a health span plus lifespan you know component but what also needs to happen is we need to have more children otherwise our population will decline Elon Musk he he says that it will begin to decline in 2050 if we do not do anything about this if the rate does not change and then other experts will say you know 2100 some further but it still rings true there's an issue there's an issue with fertility that is for whatever reason taboo people are afraid to speak up about it it's like this embarrassing thing yeah and it shouldn't be because there are solutions you just have to come to a Jevity or somebody else who actually is able to get through it yeah what really frustrates me especially with the IVF industry is they miss so many baseline markers before they start some inner cycle there's such inner rush to just get you on to an IVF protocol and I've spoken about this with so many people on my podcast and I'm really lucky that I was able to interview some of the best fertility experts from the east coast to the west coast who actually look at things from a functional perspective fixing your minerals fixing your biomarkers producing the inflammation your body because inflammation directly damages o sites o sites are your eggs so you're chronically inflamed how are you going to conceive and so looking at things like things like NAD like precursors NMN and are what they could do for your health when it comes to fertility vitamin D so much goes into being a healthy person so I feel that if you can fix the baseline of someone's health and their markers through a partner like Jevity and then think about the fertility as the next step you're actually going to be able to get there faster versus having to turn to things like IVF that fail so much of the time because they're just pumping you with more and more hormones but your body is not receptive to that that is so true and in the challenges without companies like Jevity you're you're kind of on your own yeah and so while well us you don't know what you're doing in and it's you know information overload you're like where do I start let me go to chat to PT let me go to perplexity oh my god I'm I'm not gonna get pregnant so it's this constant fear that gets created and then you go into an anxious cycle I mean that's that's exactly right and we're here to remove any of that sort of guesswork any of that anxiety that's literally what we're here to do health health is is impossible to achieve unless you are on the right path obviously as obvious as that sounds you won't get to that path just on your own in most instances because of our environment because of the society that we live in especially in this country right especially there's no work life balance because of what our own you know governing bodies our FDA has been telling us forever what is harmful what's not harmful it's like wait it turns out the food pyramid has been wrong this whole time for like the longest time and we've got all of these sick people what's going on here this doesn't make any sense did you see this weekend I actually posted it I'm gonna pull it up Congress passed a bill on something under the table which was a company called singhara which is basically a neurotoxin that's gonna be allowed into our food systems to be sprayed it is banned in 50 countries including China because it links to Alzheimer's and Parkinson's but it was allowed into the US farming system and I'm thinking to myself you know things like this are gonna harm us but yet you're sneaking them in because our lives in America have become for profit everyone's lives is up for grabs so you're living in a country that not only is the health care system working against you then you're living in a country where Congress passes on bills and allows these companies to come in that have no long-term consequences because you can't sue them if you get sick and so you're eroding away our farming systems and then we can't afford health care so unless you go functional with companies like yours there is no future that's right and and what's what's ironic about companies like ours is if we are successful in our mission and in more companies like Jevity come about and we are able to take that four and a half trillion dollars or 20% of our GDP and and rework that towards a preventative proactive functional approach yeah we will have effectively worked ourself out of business and that is actually a really good thing and as a you know whatever if I sound overly altruistic that's it is what it is but as a founder that is like the goal to really heal people right and unfortunately the the traditional health care system is so profitable that you are going up against maybe yeah maybe too big to fail maybe not but the only chance we have is through people like yourself who are actually using a platform to and in growing this this platform to speak these truths and get these truths out there so more people can wake up and and realize that the the four and a half trillion dollars that's being spent isn't being spent to better my health it needs to be spent to better my health so and you need to take power over your own health I tell people on this platform all the time listen to our gas learn from them take that information do your own research and apply it to yourselves and a lot of times like what you guys are offering for 125 dollars yeah 129 it's insane you know it's so affordable what it can do for you and really set you up for success and at the foundation level which is where everything starts yeah yeah it's a it's shocking that the like the full panel that you'll get at a at your primary care physician is only looking at maybe a CBC a complete blood count maybe it may be a lipid panel sometimes a basic metabolic panel if it's a good you know PCP they'll add in a comprehensive metabolic panel but that's the extent it doesn't go beyond that so it needs to start your journey no matter where you're at needs to start with labs otherwise you're flying blind there's no reason to fly blind absolutely there would have been a reason to fly blind ten years ago there's not a reason today so you know it's if if there's one thing you can do it's not buy supplements any the precursors to NAD is they're great you know in our in a min it's not even going straight to that it is going straight to blood work yeah and then then you start customize your body people aren't talking about this enough but I truly want to optimize your health we need to be paying attention to EMFs we are constantly plugged in surrounded by wireless signals radiation frequencies that our bodies have never ever been able to handle at this level research has shown that emfs can disrupt sleep impact cellular function and contribute to long-term health issues yet we're rarely talking about this or how to protect ourselves from this this is why I was so excited when I first discovered Lila quantum tech I met them two years ago at a biohacking conference in Austin and was absolutely blown away by the founder Philip Maughan hearing him on stage and learning about quantum energy technology completely shifted my perspective I knew I had to try it for myself and now two years later I'm so excited to have them partner with me on my podcast one of my absolute favorite products they heal 360 capsule which I wear on my quantum necklace every day this isn't just any pendant it's scientifically designed and quantumly charged to support your body's natural ability to heal energize and protect itself from harmful influences people using it have reported more energy mental clarity better stress resilience and relaxation deeper sleep and faster recovery and that is also the feedback I got from our supper club when I gifted it to all our guests Lila quantum tech is leading the way in quantum frequency healing with products designed to neutralize emfs enhance cellular function and help your body operate at its best I personally felt the difference since wearing heal 360 capsule and I think you'll love it too check it out at LilaQ.com and use code biohacket for a discount that is L E E L A Q dot com and use code biohacket happy healing everything is comes down to what your body needs at the time that it needs it you don't need to be taking things that your body's just gonna pee them out right that's another thing if your body doesn't need it it's just gonna get rid of it so I always say customizing your health care protocol as a future don't just buy things so you see them online you might not even need that might not even be your starting point your starting point might be so different you know and you need to supplement from there and then work your way up yeah that's right it's your your protocol should look nothing like mine mine should look nothing like yours we don't do any like pre-built stacks at Jevon so it really is individual it's it's totally tailored to the individual and duh I mean it makes sense it's like and we have just become accustomed to the way things have always been which is seven minutes with your your PCP and they don't even know you or really care they're just reading a chart and they're like okay these symptoms oh I learned this in med school I learned how to treat these symptoms with this medication here's a medication script go to Walgreens and pick it up we're spending across four years less than 20 hours on nutrition in med school come on this is nutrition is the foundation of health we're spending 20 hours across four years this is nonsensical make it make sense and hopefully enough voices such as yours and mine and others will will spark this change and make it make sense so to leave our audience with what are three things besides you know we've gone over like lab testing is where it should start what are three tips that you would give people from all the data that you've seen that they can apply to their life yeah a lot of the stuff out there that you're seeing may be helpful for you may not be the best for example I just put out a post about ice baths ice baths are very very popular and health and wellness and I'm not against ice baths but you you shouldn't jump into spending eight thousand dollars on a cold plunge if you're starting to take your health serious people when they get on their health journey initially they're so excited they're so amped up they want to just do it all immediately and I would say start with the basics start slow do not just jump in and buy the cold plunge by the sauna do all of it all at once because that's not sustainable there's no longevity in that pun intended it's it's you you need to start small and progress from there it needs to start not even supplementation it needs to start with nutrition and then supplementation and then yeah and then add things in so funny you brought up ice baths so for women especially if your nervous system already really unregulated and you're somebody who's already like really inflamed ice baths is not the way to go because you're gonna stress your body out even further because your body cannot decipher what is good stress or what is bad stress when you're in that fight or flight so ice baths would definitely not be the way to go so you need to do the opposite is go everywhere that calms and regulates your nervous system gets into rest and digest and therefore an ice bath may not be the start of your journey right yep so number one would be don't bite off more than you can chew initially start start small work with an expert and build progressively number two would be make sure that you're getting your information from reputable sources trusted source and also that's challenging these days because the sources that should be reputable that should be trusted they're not like they they should be but they're not a lot of the studies that are out there are junk studies that were funded by big pharmaceutical companies and agriculture right and so you have to be you have to use your discernment you have to use your your God-given abilities logic and reason to be able to discern what is BS what isn't and work with a functional provider who is able to help you on that path so that would be number two use discernment work with a functional provider and then number three is build a plan that is sustainable so what I mean by that is this isn't a you know a three month stretch of of getting my health back on track this is a lifelong journey you need to build a plan that you can stick to for life recognizing that your plan is going to change over the course of your life as you age yeah right as you age as your stress levels change yeah exactly so like my supplement blend looks very different than it did a year ago it's gonna look very different in six months yeah in six months I'm sure when I get my blood work back it'll look different so my supplements will adjust accordingly however you see people taking the same supplements for five years and just want the same results and say it doesn't work like that yeah they're like well I've been I've been doing it and you know I feel fine well you you're probably you mentioned you're probably like excuse my French you're you're pissing your money down the toilet literally because you're not able to utilize yeah so so find sustainability and what you're doing those would be the three things that I would probably leave somebody with I'm really excited about your company I had the experience trying in all this time I was going to quest in your lap corp and stuff and I get so frustrated they make you wait then insurance doesn't cover something then you're getting this $2,000 bill and it's like this is just ridiculous so when I came across you guys on Instagram I was like I really want to reach out to this company we reached out to you guys because I was so interested at the affordability the accessibility how easy you made it and then you give this data driven approach that people are like okay I got this before I panic and I freak out let me listen to them they're gonna tell me what to do and then we'll come back and have another call and in 90 days or six months depending on how bad it is I can retest that's right so you just took the load off me and I was like my community needs to know about Jevity and I was really excited to speak to you yeah well I thank you and it doesn't stop with blood work either we do got health testing we have cancer screens we have Dutch testing which is widely popular all of these functional tests blood work is the starting point but you you gotta look more under the hood yeah but I think this blood work is where you start and then based on the recommendations you get from the expert they match you to hey I think you should do the Dutch test or see the nutritionist let's fix this let's remove this from your diet dairy, gluten whatever maybe and let's go and test something else that's right so thank you so much for coming down and being on the podcast with me and sharing your incredible work with my community yeah thanks for having me we're gonna get some blood work done now let's get our blood work done he's here thank you for tuning in to Biohack it if you've enjoyed
