Dirty 3: Another Eric Swalwell Accuser Comes Forward

Shannon with What's Trending and The Dirty on the 30. This Eric Swalwell story we talked yesterday about he has dropped out of the California governor's race. This morning, the latest update to the story, a woman, another woman, has come forward accusing former representative Eric Swalwell of a violent sexual assault. It is now a part of a growing list of allegations against him. This is her talking about a 2018 encounter at a Southern California hotel with Swalwell. Her name is Lana Drews. I believe he drugged my drink. I only had one glass of wine. When I arrived at his hotel room, I was already incapacitated and I couldn't move my arms or my body. He raped me. And he choked me. She said she thought she was going to die. That's how bad it was. This woman said she didn't report it at the time because she feared his political power. But she's now coming forward with this alleged evidence and plans to cooperate with investigators. Again, Eric Swalwell has denied all of the allegations, calling them all false and politically motivated. But this accusation is one of several from different women and the fallout has been big for him. France may be the next country to block Kanye West from performing. French officials were looking at ways to ban his upcoming concert in Marseille, putting the show in jeopardy. So I think Kanye obviously caught wind of this and he himself postponed the shows. He wrote on social media after much thought and consideration. It is my sole decision to postpone my show in Marseille, France until further notice. This obviously follows a similar situation in the UK where he was blocked from entering the country leading to the cancellation of the wireless festival. I gotta be honest, I wouldn't go to Europe right now. I wouldn't go in. I don't think things are safe right now in the world. I'd be worried about going. I don't know. That's just my opinion. But what do you say, Cap? I'm trying to pull up the tweet because I like something else that he said as well. He said, I know it takes time to understand the sincerity of my commitment to make amends. I take full responsibility for what's mine, but I don't want to put my fans in the middle of it. I like the fact that he added that piece to it and it wasn't just, I'm going to cancel it. Are they blocking him because they don't like what he has said about Jewish people or what? People countries don't want to give him a platform and they're feeling like by allowing him into the country to perform, that's what they are doing. It's kind of interesting when these countries do that, but yet they don't seem like they care about other issues that are dealing with people who are Jewish. And it is also interesting that one of his points of why he got canceled during his whole messaging, I'll say, it's how he feels as though the music industry, among other industries, are controlled by certain groups. And you see certain groups are controlling whether or not he can perform. Yeah. Was he lying? And lastly, in the wake of Ruby Rose's allegations of sexual misconduct against Katie Perry, a video has resurfaced and is going around the internet again of Anna Kendrick talking about a situation that she had with Katie a few years ago. It was a crazy night. I've never been around so many. Katie Perry finger banked my cleavage. It was a weird night. We can say that. Katie touched her boobies, touched her boobs, touched her cleavage. Katie Perry walks by and I have met her before. And yeah, she's like that's her thing. Of course, the internet now goes through, you know, and is finding all of these things.
